Hello everyone, it's time to get this ball rolling!
So, the way I'm doing this is that each chapter is going to be each world/time period/dimension. You'll see what I mean soon enough.
Anyway, let's begin!
N. Sanity Island (Present Day)
Fully transformed, Bandicoot begins his journey to N. Sanity Peaks.
Leaving the beach and running through the jungle, Bandicoot avoided various wild animals and traps set by the native tribe before reaching a temple-like structure.
"Bandicoot! We must go!" Aku Aku shout as he flies into the temple.
Entering the temple, Bandicoot runs through, avoiding giant, poisonous spider along the way, before reaching an exit, which leads to an wooden ledge.
The ledge gives the orange hero a view of N. Sanity Peak, which had blue, ghostly energy circled around it while lightning flashed in the sky.
That's when Bandicoot hears something behind him. Turning around, he was a gang of Jungle Spirits approach him.
Startled, Bandicoot takes a step back, only to step off the ledge.
Luckily, he lands on a vine, which he then begins sliding down upon.
As he slid, Bandicoot noticed Jungle Spirits taunting and blowing horns in the nearby treetops.
The orange hero then reaches the end of the vine, which takes him to a small village, where the Jungle Spirits were less than inviting to their unwelcomed guest.
Fighting his way through, Bandicoot then enters some ruins which leads him to the entrance of N. Sanity Peak.
Entering the cave, Bandicoot couldn't help but be a little frighten, as he heard some kind roar. With a gulp, he presses on.
Swinging across chasms on loose ropes, jumping on platforms held up by ghostly hands, and fighting more Jungle Spirits, our orange hero found something strange.
Various objects are switching from a tangible state to an intangible one periodically.
With careful timing, Bandicoot worked his way around before finding the source of phenomenon.
It was a glowing, cyan mask, who was sleep on a stone throne.
Interested, Bandicoot walks up to the mask before grabbing it, waking the mask up.
As the two stare at each other, a trap hidden in the throne was activated, causing the floor to give way, causing the two to fall.
Once land, the mask looks behind Bandicoot with worry. Turning around, the orange hero saw that it was a giant spectral being glaring down at them.
Bandicoot and the mask stared at it in fear for a second, then...
"Ahhhh ahhh ahhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The mask screamed as he floated away in fear.
Snapping out of it, Bandicoot starts running for his life as the spectral being gives chase. During the chase, our orange hero did not noticed a red gem falling of a rock and into his pant's back pocket.
After a while, Bandicoot found the mask floating by a ledge.
Hearing the spectral being approaching, Bandicoot looks over the ledge.
"Ah ah no, no-no-no no way!" The mask objected, catching the orange hero's train of thought. "Not in million yea—"
Bandicoot simply grabs him before jumping.
At the bottom of the peak, Coco was on her tablet with Aku Aku. That's when Bandicoot and the mask lands near them, with the mask getting stuck on Bandicoot's face.
"Yiiii! Get him off get him off get him off!" The mask shouted as Bandicoot tries to get him off.
"Chris? Crash? Who is that?" Coco asked.
"Lani-Loli?" Aku Aku asked in shocked. "If the Quantum Masks have returned then..."
Successfully detaching himself from Bandicoot's face, the mask, Lani-Loli, floats to Aku Aku.
"Ack! Ack! Ack! Hey Aku, how's it g-g-gah?!" Lani-Loli greet before gaining a fearful look. "Is that a QUANTUM RIFT?!"
Turning around, Bandicoot, Coco, and Aku Aku saw a large, purple tear in reality.
"It appears to be a door between dimensions." Coco said with a studying look.
"Yes! Yes! The kind we keep shut! We have to go through, find my siblings, and fix this before some putz with a big evil plan and a bigger ego does something monumentally stupid!" Lani-Loli said in a panicked tone.
Bandicoot, Coco, and Aku Aku looked at each other, as they have an idea on who that putz is.
We then cut to Cortex, who was scratching his rear with a yawn.
"Uka Uka unknowingly paved the way for our bright future." N. Tropy said as he stares at some sort of device. "Once my Rift Generator is complete, dominion over all of time and space will be within our grasp!"
Cortex silently mocks him before he starts tinkering with a device as N. Gin, N. Brio, and N. Crypt approach behind him.
"N. Gin, N. Brio, N. Crypt... you had some little projects you wanted to tell me about?" Cortex asked in a bored tone.
"Master, my mechanical marvel will hypnotize you an army!" N. Gin declared in a excited tone.
"My data with make them smarter." N. Crypt said, tapping the side of his head.
"And my potion will make me — ahem — them unstoppable!" N. Brio said, holding up a potion.
"Right, yeah, fine, sure. Have fun with your... ray guns, or whatever." Cortex said in a bored tone.
As the three scientists went to their respective rifts, N. Gin and N. Brio bumped into each other, leading to a small brawl between the two as N. Crypt watches in amusement.
"Hasten your steps!" N. Tropy shouted, causing the three to scamper to their rifts. "By my calculations, our enemies are already moving against us. And We. Will. Prevail."
We then transition to Dragnarok's dimension, where the draconic hero was doing some patrolling.
Landing on a rooftop, Dragnarok looks down a the street when he hears something behind him.
Turning around, Dragnarok sees a rift open before him. Seconds later, Bandicoot, Coco, Aku Aku, and Lani-Loli exit the rift.
"Bandicoot? Coco? Aku Aku? What are you guys doing here?" The draconic hero asked before noticing Lani-Loli. "Who's this?"
"Dragnarok! It's good to see you!" Aku Aku shouted. "Listen, you need to help us, as the fabric of time and space is at risk!"
Meanwhile, back on N. Sanity Island, Nix was looking for his friends.
"Coco? Crash? Chris? Aku Aku?" The wolf-jackal hybrid shouted. "Where are you guys?"
Hearing the rustling of some nearby bushes, Nix saw some Jungle Spirits jumping out and wave their weapons at him in a threating manner.
"Oh boy..." Nix muttered before running off, with the Jungle Spirits giving chase.
Using clever usage of some twists and turns, the wolf-jackal hybrid managed to lose his pursuers.
"Lost them..." Nix muttered before noticing some Jungle Spirits prowling to area looking for him. "I need to get home. Too many to fight... Need to be stealthy..."
Using the shadows, treetop, and a few bushes, Nix managed to get home.
"That was close." Nix said to himself. That's when a rift opens in front of him. "What the-?!" Suddenly, the rift sucks him before closing.
And that's that!
Lani-Loli has been found and our heroes now know what's at stake. Next chapter, we'll see the Bandicoot family go through some shenanigans in Drake/Dragnarok's dimension.
Also, as a bonus, Nix will being having his own misadventures during the story, in similar manner to Alternate Tawna, Dingodile, and Cortex in the actual game.
That reminds me... Other then their introduction level, I don't think I'll be doing Alternate Tawna, Dingodile, and Cortex's levels. Maybe... I probably do it in a bonus chapter, but as of right now, I'm leaning towards unlikely.
