Terry landed, dripping wet, in the Tardis - to Ten and Donna's surprise.

"Angel!" The Doctor called in surprise while Donna raised a brow.

"Love the outfit, angel." The redhead laughed and Terry rolled her eyes as she pushed soapy wet hair out of her face.

The good news was that this time she'd been fast enough to grab the bathrobe she always kept within an arm's reach of the shower (her first experience had truly been traumatic). The somewhat disgruntling news was that even if she'd been butt-naked this time, this Doctor would have cared less and Donna wouldn't have cared at all. And there wouldn't have been anyone else around to witness Terry's embarrassment.

'Really? This couldn't have been the first time I jumped from the shower?' Terry thought with a frown at whatever god clearly didn't love her. 'I had to land almost completely naked in front of a Doctor I wasn't dating, Martha, and a man who was a stranger?'

"Here."

Terry looked over as the Doctor offered her a towel that the Tardis had provided.

"Thanks." Terry said, taking the offered towel and wrapping it around her hair. "And thank you, Sexy."

The Tardis hummed contently while Donna said with a smile, "I take it you weren't coming from anything interesting?"

"Not… entirely." Terry answered as she thought about what she and Eleven had been doing minutes earlier (from her perspective) and the whole reason she'd needed a shower in the first place.

Donna and the Doctor seemed to guess what she was thinking as the redhead made a face while the Doctor looked vaguely embarrassed and very interested. Terry shook her head quickly and she asked, "Anyway, what were you two up to?"

"Oh, nothing." Donna answered airily. "Just saving a few lives, no big deal."

Terry smiled when suddenly the Doctor wrapped an arm around her. Terry looked at him to find him grinning mischievously at her. Terry looked from him to Donna, only now noticing the hints of soot that they'd mostly managed to have sucked off by the Tardis.

"Why are you so sooty?" Terry questioned. She was tempted to ask if they had rescued a couple people from a bonfire but there was a gleam in the Doctor's eyes and a pride in Donna that told Terry something special had just happened.

"Well…" Donna grinned.

The Doctor butted in as he teased Terry, "You said that you wouldn't let me get away with that kiss in Pompeii. Are you going to keep your word?"

"Pompeii?" Terry asked in surprise, now realizing why Donna looked so pleased. She and the Doctor must have just dropped off Caecilius and his family safely away from the volcanic explosion. But what kiss…?

Terry suddenly remembered, and she laughed.

"Oh!" She chuckled. "That seems like ages ago… well, it was ages ago for me."

He laughed with her at that while Terry shook her head fondly.

"That was just before we started dating, in my timeline." Terry mused aloud.

"You were so cute." Donna remembered with a sigh. "I assume from your get-up that this you's all lovey-dovey with him?"

She jerked her thumb at the Doctor who just smirked. Terry shook her head again, marvelling at just how far she had really come.

"So much has happened since then… But it's all still so fresh for you." Terry murmured thoughtfully.

Donna nodded before she gestured at her dirty appearance.

"So, if you don't mind - which I'm sure you don't - I'm going to wash this off and then hit the sack." The redhead announced.

But before she left, Donna smiled at Terry.

"Good to see you again, angel."

Terry smiled and nodded back. Donna often talked tough but she was a big old softie inside. All the companions were special but there would always be something extra special about the motherly companion who was unlike any of the Doctor's younger companions. And she would always hold a special place in Terry's hearts. But as Terry watched Donna walk off toward her bedroom and built-in bathroom, she was suddenly hit with a memory. Something that had been buried and blurry in her mind but now seemed clearer.

"And," a familiar bright, snarky yet amused voice called out blithely and the Doctor looked over in shock to see Donna pop up from behind one of the Daleks' control panels - the one closest to the Tardis which now had its door fully open.

"Closing all Z-neutrino relay loops using an internalised synchronous back-feed reversal loop." The redhead continued with a cheeky smile at the Doctor.

And then the image changed into one of Donna staring right at Terry with absolute horror. Her hearts thumped, reacting to Donna's fear of her. But there was also something deeper.

"No more." Donna whispered.

The Doctor wrapping his arms around Terry woke her from her thoughts. Terry looked up at the Time Lord as the Doctor tucked her into his embrace. He smirked down at her.

"I need a wash too." The Doctor began and Terry's stomach did a flip at the feigned obliviousness that he pulled off while looking far too sexy for his own good. "And I think you'd want to finish washing your hair. But there's only one shower left… what to do?"

Terry's lips curved into a smile despite her earlier apprehension. This Doctor was too young anyway; Journey's End was still his future. She almost envied his naivety. But instead, Terry tucked away her memories for the moment as she feigned a similar innocence as the Doctor

"I don't know." Terry drawled, tapping her chin with her finger. "I suppose I'll just have to barge in on Donna-"

The Doctor cut her off as his lips sealed hers, and he picked up effortlessly from where they had left off after Pompeii. And despite the fact that it had been a decade and a half for her, Terry was quick to sink into his embrace like she hadn't been able to before when she was younger and still unsure.

Beneath her red dress, the thin white-gold ring clinked against its chain as Terry led the Doctor out of the console room.

"So, when did you come from before this?" The Doctor asked sometime later.

"Your future. And yes, that means spoilers so don't bother trying to get any hints." Terry added.

The Doctor pouted but he was still too content to really mind. Humming, he turned on his stomach to look at Terry.

"Donna's probably going to sleep for a while longer yet. Do you want to go somewhere in the meantime?" He suggested.

It was Terry's turn to hum. A part of her was feeling too lazy to move out of the comfort of the Doctor's room. And that same part of her was loath to move even an inch out of the Doctor's embrace. But another part of her itched to move and to have an adventure. Maybe there was something in the middle that could satisfy her…

Something the Doctor had told her long ago - back when she'd thought she was still just human - came to her then and Terry grinned. Reaching out, she grabbed her black and white accented blazer.

"I think I know just the place."

"You know," the Doctor began in an amused tone. "Usually when people come to Bazaar, it's to see the Festival of Offerings."

Terry scoffed.

"Boring. I've already seen it and I know you have as well." Terry shot back, but she couldn't keep the teasing out of her tone as she glanced at him over her shoulder. All the while, she weaved her way through the busy market she had visited once before with another, older Doctor. Contrary to her words, Terry was feeling excited at all the bustle and activity around them but her attention couldn't stay captured by the festival celebrations for long. Not yet, anyway.

"Come on, this way." Terry commanded as she pulled the Doctor along with her.

He followed her easily, trotting behind her although there was a note of skepticism in his voice as he observed, "So, what are you so eager to show me if we've both been here before and seen the festival before?"

Terry just smiled mysteriously.

"I happen to have it on good authority that you've never seen this before." She answered.

The Doctor frowned slightly but Terry refused to say any more. Instead, she led him down the market streets, following the path she vaguely remembered and keeping an eye out for the familiar alley she was searching for. The Doctor followed curiously behind her, his eyes roaming over everything and taking in all the details just like she had done the first time. And she knew he would be able to lead her back in his future and her past, the same way she was doing now.

Finally spotting the right path, Terry stopped and pulled the Doctor down a side alley. And then she stopped again. Terry turned to the Doctor as he waited patiently for her to make her next move.

"Close your eyes." She ordered.

The Doctor's brows shot up. "Why?"

"Just do it." Terry replied bossily.

"Why?" The Doctor repeated persistently, folding his arms as he chose to be difficult just to tease her. Terry pouted.

"Don't you love me?"

He rolled his eyes. "You know that's a cheap shot."

Despite his protests, however, the Doctor finally complied. Terry grinned triumphantly as the Doctor closed his eyes and she waved her hand in front of his face just to be sure he wasn't cheating.

"You do know I can feel the air shifting when you do that, right?" The Doctor questioned and Terry nodded, still satisfied.

"Yeah, but I also know you would have swatted my hand like it was an irritating fly if you could really see me. And then hold my hand."

The Doctor couldn't deny that so he wisely said nothing as Terry took his hand. She led him carefully further into the alley, walking down the familiar path she had once walked. It was a short walk and then, they were there. Terry stopped just inside the grove and for a second, she admired the view.

It was exactly as she remembered it.

The grove of alien trees stood tall like apple trees but with drooping branches and pale purple bark that was darker along the veins. The pastel coloured leaves blew gently in the wind, their blue, pink, green and yellow hues dancing beautifully in the light of the fruit they bore. The round, globe-like fruit still pulsed like Terry remembered them doing, sending out a gentle light from the seeds in the core and bathing everything around them in warm colours just a few shades darker than the leaves they were surrounded by.

Terry tore her eyes with great difficulty away from the tree to look at the Doctor and she saw him scrunch his brows as he felt the light shining on his face. They were facing the wrong direction from the sun and Terry knew he was wondering what the source for the light was.

She allowed herself one more second to bathe in the warmth herself before she mentally said to the Doctor, "Open your eyes, Theta."

The Doctor opened his eyes and instantly, his expression slackened. The lights danced in his eyes as he opened them wide in his surprise and then awe.

"What is this place?" The Doctor wondered in an echo of the very words Terry had said the first time he'd brought her here.

Terry smiled, memories mixing with the present as she answered in an echo of the words he'd said to her.

"You showed it to me when we came here in my past. And you told me how these are the fruit trees of Bazaar; not rare on the planet but rare because they only grow during the Festival of Offerings."

She touched the fruit and the Doctor did the same, mesmerized. But his gaze returned to Terry as she continued gently, "Since then, this has remained one of my favourite places in the universe."

The Doctor's brown eyes softened . Letting go of the brightly coloured fruit around them, the Doctor reached out to brush his fingers across Terry's cheek before he cupped her face in his hand. She leaned into his touch and the Doctor placed his other hand on her waist as he peered down at her.

"I think it's just become one of my favourite places as well." The Doctor murmured, rubbing this thumb along her cheekbone while his eyes swept over her hair which looked rich and warm like melted chocolate under the glow of the fruits that made it look like she was standing in a halo. He smiled.

"You look like an angel."

"Only because you make me want to be an angel for you, Doctor." Terry replied softly. His grin widened and Terry gave him an answering smile before she stood up on her toes to press the gentlest kiss on her only love in the entirety of space and time.

*A/N Most of you probably forgot about this but to those who wondered when Terry would come back to Bazaar, just a small treat!
