Astoria looked toward her sister smiling happily, surprising the people watching Astoria sprinted into her sister's arms. "Hey." she said and sat next to her sister.

"That's a way to be remembered." Capella told Astoria, laughing gently.

"I was just excited." Astoria replied smiling, not paying attention to who was being sorted now.

Just like last year Rose made a point of sitting in the common room and introducing herself to everyone that entered. It made Rose a little sad to see Blaize sitting with Malfoy but Rose chose not to think on that and instead concentrated on talking to the new students and the turning ones that still supported her.

It was a long night and by the time everyone had dispersed Rose was tired. Slipping into her bed she was surprised to see Capella laying awake reading a book on charms.

"Why are you still awake? Aren't you tired?" Rose asked as she started to undress, not minding Capella's eyes on her.

"I didn't want to sleep without you." Capella said smiling and placing her book on the bedside table.

"I better hurry up then. Let me brush my teeth and we can go to sleep." With that said Rose left Capella on her bed.

It wasn't long before Rose joined Capella in bed, without wasting any time Capella scooted her back into Rose who wrapped her arms around Capella's chest.

"Daddy won't be happy to know where your hands are." she joked, smiling at Rose.

"It is still innocent, we're fine." Rose replied, completely embarrassed by Capella's comment.

Turning around in Rose's arms Capella looked up at her.

"We should make us official. We both know how we feel."

Rose, who was falling asleep, woke up slightly and kissed Capella lightly.

"Are you ready for that? People may react like Blaize.

"I think I am Rose. I want people to know I love you." Rose blushed hearing this and looked into Capella's eyes wanting to be sure.

"I love you too Capella. If you will, I'd love you to be my girlfriend." Upon hearing this Capella kissed Rose again this kiss was a little longer than normal and left Rose with a funny feeling in her stomach.

The two kissed one last time before Rose turned Capella back around into the position they always slept in, falling asleep exceptionally happy.

The next morning Rose woke to the feeling of Capella kissing her. After returning the kiss Rose started to get up.

"I am surprised we haven't gotten in trouble for the amount of time you spend in my bed and not yours."

"Let's not jinx it by mentioning it." Capella responded, sleepily and left the room to grab her shower things.

After the shower Rose waited for Daphne and Capella. Once the other two girls arrived Rose started to leave only to be stopped by Astoria.

"Not leaving without me are you?" This comment made Rose jump and turn to face Astoria.

"Of course not." Rose lied.

When the four arrived in the great hall they were met by a leering Snape who was walking up and down the table handing out timetables. Without sparing a second glance at Rose or Capella he was gone, not that that bothered either girl.

"Charms first thing for us, what about you Capella?" Rose asked, looking at the younger girl.

"I have DADA." Capella said excitedly. And looking up at Lupin.

"Uncle Sirius said he would be good at teaching, I hope so. Let me know afterwards, okay?"

"You know I would have even if you didn't ask. What do you have, Astoria?"

Astoria, who had been helping herself to toast and Tea turned to look at Capella, a little surprised to be included.
"Transfiguration."

Capella nodded her head acknowledging she had heard before applying ludicrous amounts of Jam to her own toast. Rose who was watching shuddered slightly at the sight before grabbing some porridge.

As breakfast was ending Rose decided to accept Capella's wish to go public and kissed her soundly on the lips as she left for the day's lessons. The reaction of the great hall was exceedingly mixed. Some of the people who knew the pair were cheering while others were rapidly discussing it with their friends.

There were a few people openly showing signs of disgust but no one had time to mention it since Rose had already left and Capella had fled pretty fast, too embarrassed to see how the hall took it.

The lessons themself went by without much fanfare. A few comments were made about Rose and Capella's relationship but the teachers were not interested in hearing it and were quick to stop talking.

At the lunch table people around Rose and Capella had started questioning them on their relationship, even people who didn't normally talk to them wanted answers. Despite being asked, Rose and Capella only confirmed they were in fact dating.

After lunch Rose and Daphne had their first Ancient Runes class. Rose had been reading a lot about this class during the summer and was particularly looking forward to the lesson.

The professor for this class was really good at delivering the information and Rose was able to take lots of notes. The class was apparently going to be a lot of studying until the students had a firm understanding of the runes but Rose didn't mind.

The lesson that followed was Arithmancy; this class paired with Runes would be key to making a new marauders map. Rose was taking a long time taking notes needing them to be clear so that she could easily understand, and teach Capella, them when looking back on them.

Rose soon realised that Thursday's would be a long day with these four subjects all being heavy theoretical classes. When the lessons were over Rose was happy to enter the great hall and enjoy dinner.

When Capella sat down next to Rose she grinned evilly wanting payback for earlier she kissed Rose not caring who was looking. Professor Snape looked furious upon seeing these two girls kissing at the dinner table.

Once the girls had ample food on their plates Rose looked to Capella.
"How was Professor Lupin's class?"

"He seems to really know his subject. Seemed to really enjoy teaching too. We were talking about ghouls, which seemed to really interest Ginny. Apparently they have one in the attic."

"Would be a nice change to have a good teacher." Daphne added.

After dinner Rose and Capella found Harry, Hermione and Ron in the library. This made Capella laugh.

"She has you two working on homework already does she?"

"She apparently needed some Runes information, we were tagging along." Harry said looking like he would rather be elsewhere.

"Harry If we give you a mirror for Ginny will you pass it along?" Rose asked.

"Why would I say no to that?" Harry asked, smiling at Rose.

"I will speak to Daddy." Capella said and ran off to an empty classroom across the hall.

After around five minutes Rose was wondering why Capella had not returned and went to find her. When she entered the classroom opposite she was shocked to see a pimply rat looking man Holding a wand to Capella.

Thinking fast, Rose pulled her mirror and Whispered Sirius.

"Who are you? Get away from Capella." Rose shouted hoping that people outside would hear.

The rat faced man seemed furious at being caught spun round pointing his wand at Rose and indicating that she stood by Capella. Rose quickly went to Capella and hugged her.

"You are going to tell me where my Master is!" The man shouted at them in a squeaky voice.

"Why would we know that?" Rose asked, trying to buy time.

"You have been around Sirius." The rat almost spat the name out as he spoke.

"We are kids he wouldn't tell us if he knew." Capella tried.

The rat seemed to think this was a lost cause and changed into his animagus form before fleeing the room. As soon as he was gone Rose pulled up her mirror.
"Sirius?"

"I am by the secret passage that leads to Honeydukes if he comes this way I got him. Marlene is watching the willow."

Rose looked quite surprised to hear that there were passages that led out of the school. It seemed like a big security flaw to her.

"His form is a Rat. Will he really try to leave? It would be easy for him to hide here." Rose asked Sirius not looking convinced.

"Albus will be with you soon. Auror's are on the way to search the school. What were you doing when he found you?" Sirius asked.

"I was actually going to call you. We wanted a mirror for Ginny." Capella told him.

At that moment Professor Dumbledore entered the room, wand at the ready, he was followed by Professors McGonagal and Snape.

"Sirius said that Perttigrew was in the school. Can you confirm this?" Dumbledore asked calmly.

"I've never met Pettigrew so I wouldn't know for sure." Rose told him but Capella nodded her head.

"I am sure it was him. He turned into a rat before he left and she didn't seem to like saying my Dad's name. He said he was looking for his Master. He means Voldemort right?"

Capella saying the most feared name without fear made Dumbledore smile, McGonagall flinch and a look of fear flash on Snapes face; that was replaced so fast by impassiveness no one noticed.

"Pettigrew was an animagus?" McGonagall asked. It was clear she was finding that hard to believe.

Knowing Sirius has registered on getting out of jail Capella nodded her head.

"My dad and his friends did it in fifth year,'' he said for an important reason. He said we would learn the reason eventually but not yet"

"Get all the students into the great hall. We must search the Castle thoroughly." Dumbledore said.

Before anyone could move Rose's face went pale.
"I think that was Ron's rat…"

"What!?" McGonagal asked, looking shocked.

"The first year I met Harry and Ron I sat with them. I saw this rat missing a finger on its paw. The man when he transformed looked similar. I don't know for sure but I think it may be."

Everyone was now looking at Rose with a mixture of disgust and fear on their faces.

"Ron said that he lost his pet rat at the end of last year. About the time Uncle Sirius became a prominent figure again." Rose added trying to show her working thought process.

"Minerva you will need to speak to Molly and Ronald." Albus said, looking at her.

"Percy too ma'am. Ron told us the rat used to be his." Capella added looking at Rose hoping she remembered right, to this Rose nodded remembering too.

Professor McGonagall Nodded her head and left the room to get to her house. Professor Snape was looking at the girls with a look that told them he would rather be somewhere else but he escorted them to the Great Hall leaving them with Hagrid as he went to collect the rest of his house.

It took the Professors a long time to round up all the children of the castle and a few times the doors had to be reopened for stragglers. Rose watched as the late arrivals were questioned and Rose couldn't help but wonder why.

The teachers didn't seem to mind where the students slept while they were in this room so Rose, Capella and Daphne went over to Harry's group, Daphne collecting her sister on the way. Once Harry Rose was happy to see he had invited Ginny to stay close, poor Ginny's face was dark red from him asking and she had been very quiet since joining him.

Searching for a single Rat in a castle of this size took all night. All the ghosts and all the Professors except the ones watching the students had been looking and by the morning everyone looked tired.

Many of the students too looked like they had not slept a wink. Astoria was one of those who looked shattered; she was glaring lightly at Rose and Capella.
"How the heck did you two manage to sleep all night?"

"Capella calms me." Rose said as if it was the most natural statement in the world.

The students were dismissed to clean up while the teachers fixed all the tables in the great hall. The school was unusually quiet the next day; most of the students had not yet found out just why a mass sleepover was held and no information was forthcoming so far.

Sirius after breakfast had called Capella and Rose to meet him. They used Professor Dumbledore's office so they could borrow his pensive. After seeing Capella's memories of the night before Sirius confirmed the man was Pettigrew.

After that had been confirmed the ministry started swarming the school determined to re search the entire school. Several Professors were annoyed by this action, many times auror's would enter a classroom, most without an apology and they would search the school and bags of the students before leaving.

After a day of this a very annoyed Albus Dumbledore sent the Auror's away. The minister was not happy about this but having found no lead on the rat he had no real ground to stand on.

For the next week the teachers were particularly on edge. Several rats had been stunned by passing professors.

Come Tuesday the school had become relatively calm. Several of the students in third year were excited to have their first Care of magical creatures lesson, Harry, Hermione and Ron in particular were excited for this once they learnt Hagrid would be teaching it.

The walk down to Care of magical creatures was a little long since Hargrid held them by his hut. As Rose and Daphne walked down to the class Blaize, Malfoy and his cronies were trying to get a rise out of Rose by constantly calling her disgusting for being a lesbian.

Rose herself was letting the comments bounce off her not interested in listening to them, believing wholeheartedly that her love she should not be ashamed of. Daphne however was becoming increasingly annoyed at the comments. She expected this of Malfoy but not Blaize who she had considered a close friend since before Hogwarts.

The lesson proved to be incredibly interesting. Rose, like the others in class, had stepped back when asked to approach. Harry had given her a look that suggested she would hear about this later.

Watching Harry fly the Hippogriff was a great sight and Rose was enjoying very much watching him. When he landed Rose was ready to have a go too. Malfoy, who was ahead of her was making a real mess of trying to get the Hippogriffs' trust, was amusing Rose too.

That was until the creature felt offended by the remarks. Rose could see what was going to happen before she had shouted to the Hippogriff to stop, she had not expected anything to come from the command.

Raising itself un on its hind legs the Creature was mid swipe of his claws when he heard the command. His eyes seemed to be very alert all of a sudden looking around for who had commanded him. His eyes rested on Rose and the Hippogriff returned to a neutral state and trotted over to Rose.

Malfoy, who had been screaming like a little girl, was now shouting about how he had nearly died but no one was listening. Everyone was watching with held breath as Rose reached out and rubbed the creature's beak. Hagrid, who had been shaken by the close call, was trying to get the creature to follow him but it seemed fixated on Rose.

"Will you return to the Pen? I think you're scaring people." Rose asked the Hippogriff before her. The creature looked like it wanted to stay but returned to the pen with the other creatures, most were also looking at Rose like they could see something that no one else could.

Once the creature was back in the pen Harry was by Rose's side and making sure she was okay, which she was, just thoroughly confused. Hagrid too seemed unsure how to react to what had just happened; he was currently looking in his Monster book of Monsters, his action mimicked by Hermione who was instantly demanding to know what just happened.

Rose, who could see Daphne was still a little worried, hugged her friend and smiled.
"I am good. Not a scratch."

"Why did it listen to you?" Daphne asked, knowing Rose would not know.

"I don't know if anyone has the answer right now."

With the excitement of the class completely throwing Hagrid off his game he dismissed the class. Malfoy was trying to make it sound like the creature attacked because of Rose but no one was interested because they were more curious how Rose had controlled the creature.

Rose, not too eager to go to dinner, approached the pen, Harry staying close not wanting to leave her alone.

"Hey, thank you for not hurting that boy. I know he was rude but they wouldn't have been able to protect you if you had hurt him." Now that the commotion was over Harry could see the Hippogriff was buckbeak.

After spending some time with the creatures Harry and Rose returned to the castle. Upon entering the Hall a few people, who had already heard what happened, tried to approach Rose but she had no answers for them.

At dinner that night a lone owl flew up to Ginny making a few people look at her. After dropping the parcel the bird flew to Capella, who petted it lightly and whispered.

"Hi mommy."

The owl hooted happily before looking at Rose, who responded by petting the owl before it took off. After dinner that night Rose and Capella called Ginny on her mirror who immediately started questioning Rose. After getting no answers she said she would Write to charlie who was the creatures expert in their family.

I am royally struggling to name this group and need some Ideas please leave a review if you have a good name. If I use the name in my fic you will be credited in the chapter that it is first relevant to.
