Overdue

Mako hadn't really been able to sleep after his first day of school, not because he was nervous about the next day, or that he was worked up from the events of the day and couldn't find sleep. He just wasn't tired despite having only a few hours of sleep he couldn't return to, and with the time difference, he was able to arrive at I-Island just as it was starting to turn to dusk to see Melissa. Who he made sure to message and see if she was busy before arriving. For a change, she had told him that they could meet at a small café on the island she liked for some breakfast/dinner instead of her lab, which was closed for the evening.

"Wow! A hundred tons!" Melissa exclaimed as Mako showed her the sheet of paper from the exercises he had taken yesterday at U.A. They had all gotten their results printed out and waiting at their desks after class when they went to retrieve their bags. "Wait a minute how did you only get this much on the standing long jump? You can fly." she asked curiously when she saw that he only leapt so many meters when it should in theory be infinity.

"I asked Aizawa sensei about that, he said he wanted to test the output of my strength, so I just jumped…for like the first time in a year." he replied across the table from her as he took a drink of the tea he had gotten. "Mmm, my mom would love this place." he said, looking around the outside patio where they sat at. A number of other students from the academy were around, the small place being popular amongst the students.

"Huh, I suppose that makes sense….then why is the pullup section N/A?" she asked, raising a eye as she looked across the table to see the half Viltrumite sip his tea, making sure not to make eye contact with her for a brief second.

He glanced back over at her and saw her eyes looking directly at him with mirthful inquiry, "I might have….pulled the bars down." he admitted, causing her to snort. "And before you ask the toe touching thing was-look I am not the most flexible guy!" he admitted, Melissa's occasional snort deteriorating into full blown giggles.

After taking a minute to recover, Melissa smiled at him, "I'm sorry it's just given what you can do?" she said, looking him over, the new student reaching back and rubbing the back of his head. "And thank you for this, now I at least know how much my new material can withstand." she said, passing the paper back to Mako who slipped it into his shoulder bag. "Still, it's kind of weird that your teacher made you do those exercises on your first day." she noted.

Mako shrugged, "Well they have this thing about letting teachers teach their classes the way they want to." he replied, "What about you? Are your classes just as weird and intense?" he asked jokingly.

The blonde chuckled as she shook her head, "No, no, we're into full on work mode right now. We use about half our class time to study new material and then the other half to apply what we learned." she explained. She suddenly recalled something, "Oh! That reminds me! That first costume I made got assigned to someone!" she said cheerfully.

Mako smiled happily, "Awesome! See? I was right, you are a good designer, it just wasn't for me."

The girl's face warmed up a little from the praise but she didn't falter, "Thanks Mako. Apparently he wanted to change after graduating school in America. Was going for a big re-branding thing." she explained.

Mako tilted his head, "Does that happen a lot?" he asked curiously, "I mean in Japan most heroes don't ever change their names. I mean I'd have to check but I can't think of any."

Melissa shrugged as her elbows leaned down onto the table, supporting her chin as she spoke, "It depends, most I've heard of are pretty understandable. People who had 'boy' or 'girl' in their names before growing up?" she explained. The half alien nodded in understanding, who wanted to be called Omni Boy when they were in their thirties or forties? "So you didn't get to show off the suit then?" she asked.

He shook his head in disappointment, "No, I was actually disappointed too. I mean it's a hero class, why aren't we just wearing them under our uniforms?" he asked.

Melissa chuckled at the complaint before taking a sip of her drink, suddenly her phone let out a alarm that made her jump. Reaching into her pocket, he pulled it out and her eyes widened behind her glasses in alarm, "Oh my god!" she exclaimed, "Someone is trying to break into one of the labs!" she said, making Mako nearly choke on his drink. Melissa had told him about the insane security measures that the Island had installed to prevent this sort of thing.

"Seriously? I mean you guys have like two thousand heroes here a day, who would be stupid enough to try anything?" Mako asked.

Melissa scrolled through her phone to check social media, "These two apparently." she said as she held up her phone to Mako, showing a video of two large blue men with black and white unitards as one of them hauled out a large piece of equipment out of a large hole made in the side of a building on his back while the other held a massive weapon in both his hands. "Is that thing important?" he asked, pointing at what the one of them was carrying on their back.

Melissa looked at in detail, "I think that's just one of our supercomputer processors, they use those to help run the security system." she realized, with literally thousands of cameras, sentry bots, alarm systems, and other security protocols it was impossible for a standard sized security team to cover all possible threats. So instead they used an artificial intelligence to help filter out what could be considered a threat. But even one of the processors gone would severely affect the security of the island.

"Should I do something?" Melissa blinked at Mako in surprise, "I mean I'm learning to be a hero and I'm allowed to use my quirks here." he reasoned.

Melissa raised a eye skeptically with a smirk, "But aren't there like two thousand heroes here a day?" she asked, echoing his words from before. Mako chuckled, "I get that you want to go out and do something Mako, but you just had your first day yesterday. Believe me, I understand wanting to get right to work on what you want to do." she explained. Mako giving her a sympathetic smile as she put her cup down, "That being said…..I don't think anyone would mind if you flew us over and watched them get captured." she offered with a smirk.

Mako grinned, paying for their dinner/breakfast, the two walked out of the café where the half human paused, "Um…..look I only know two ways to carry you, under your arms or…..well in my arms." he explained.

Melissa titled her head curiously before seeing the slight pink dust on his cheeks, "Oh! You can just carry me in your arms, I don't mind." she dismissed with a wave of her hand, making Mako let out a small relieved breath.

"Ok, and between you and me? The backpacking way sucks. Well from what I've been told." he said, walking over to her and letting himself float with his arms out, Melissa looked back to make sure his lover hand would hook under her knees properly before falling back into his arms. "Ok if you get scared or anything, I'll put you down. Alright?" he asked.

Melissa smiled at his offer and nodded gratitude before he took off up the ground, the blonde leaning back fully into his hand that was just around the curve of her back. As they lifted up into the sky, Melissa couldn't help but let out a titter as they flew, "Wow…" she muttered to herself.

Mako chuckled, "Right?" he asked as he flew them at a decent speed, "So where-" he began before they both heard an explosion, "Never mind." he said as he turned them in the direction of the sound of the battle. Approaching from the sky, the two looked down at the street to see a swam of trashcan shaped robots on wheels surrounding the villains….and pushing back against the hordes of heroes?

"What in the world?!" Melissa exclaimed in shock as she looked at the two villains who were making their way through the streets, "Those robots should be detaining them, why are they attacking the heroes?!" she asked as Mako descended down onto a roof to set her down on near the ledge. As she looked to the one carrying the processor, she noticed that there was a device attached to it, "That thing they have plugged into the processor must be overwriting the control of the security bots somehow." she realized.

Mako stepped up to the ledge, "Ok then, so much for staying back!" he said before taking off, the force of him taking off making Melissa's hair blow back as he swooped down towards the street. One of the blue men raised their large gatling gun like weapon at the heroes, "Hey!" he looked up to have a foot kick into his face, sending him a few feet back with the large gun clattering across the ground while the one carrying the processor on a bright orange harness looked over while Mako hovered in the air. "Oh man is he ok? I really didn't pull that kick so-" he asked with concern until the other blue man sat up, "Oh ok good." Mako breathed out.

The one with the orange harness turned to the other, "Well what are you waiting for you stupid clone?! Get him!" he ordered.

The other one looked at him, "Don't tell me what to do! And I'm not the clone!" he roared as he charged at Mako, the teen raising his hands as the villain threw a punch, Mako blocked it with his forearm, before another slammed into his gut, knocking the wind out of him for a second before it was followed up by a fist slamming into his back, bringing Mako down to the ground.

Stopping himself on his hands, he looked up to see the one blue man reel another fist back and punch down at him, Mako thought quickly and turned himself around with his flight while throwing his own fist up into the villain's jaw, making him stumble back. Oh man I did not think this through, I don't know how to fight! he thought as he tuned over in the air and steadied himself on his feet.

He looked over at the other blue villain with the processor on his back, Wait a minute. Duh! he thought before flying at the one with the harness, he raised his hands up as Mako raised a fist, but as he got closer pivoted around behind the clone and few up, snatching the device that was plugged into the processor.

"You idiot! He took the scrambler!" the other one said as he ran for his weapon and picked it up, aiming it at the flying teen before firing a barrage of bullets at him. Mako braced himself for what he imagined would be he feeling of being stung, but was surprised when the Bullets merely hit him and fell off, some ricocheting off his skin.

Though it shredded his shirt and pants in the process, "Oh come on! That was one of my best shirts!" Mako complained as he zoomed at the one with the gun and swung a hard left hook into his face, making him fly back into the other who caught him and barely managed to recover his footing between balancing the processor and the weight of his accomplice.

As Mako raised his hands, ready to continue the fight, a wave of water shot past him and wrapped around the two twins, "Aw crap," one of them groaned. Mako turned his head back to see the swarm of security robots where now moving in on their former controllers, and the various heroes that had been fighting them all converging.

Touching down on the ground, a man with a green cape with his hair combed back, it was mostly black with a shite stripe down the middle walked up to him with a proud smile, "Young man that was fine work." he praised before holding out his hand, "But if I may?" he asked, Mako immediately handed over the device to him before he used this curst like substance on the back of his hands to form a cube around it for safe keeping.

Mako suddenly recognized him, "Oh hey! Your Crust aren't you?" he asked, the man smiling and nodding.

"Yes I am, I was here getting a few spare costumes when these two broke into the main building." he explained before giving the teen an assuring pat on the shoulder, "You did well, but I do ask that next time you leave it to the Pro Heroes, it's not your time yet young hero." he said, Mako smiling as the pro hero walked off to check on the apprehension of the two villains. Mako let out a breath before flying back up to the building where he had left Melissa at, slowing near the roof he found his friend beaming at him.

"That was amazing!" she praised as he landed in front of her, the teen rubbing the back of his head sheepishly from the praise that he wasn't used to.

"Not really? I mean one of them kicked my butt there for a minute, and if the other guy could fight? I probably wouldn't have won." he admitted as he looked down at his clothes and groaned. His shirt and pants where riddled with bullet holes! Thankfully they didn't show off anything private but there was no way he could wear these out ever again! "Oh man, I really liked this shirt too." he said, pulling at the collar to see the damage on the inside.

Melissa was still smiling at him, "Still! You actually fought a supervillain! And you helped them capture them, I bet that's not something any of your classmates have done." she praised, Mako smiling at the thought of rubbing it in Bakugo's face. But it also made him realize something important…..he didn't know how the hell to fight anyone.

"Man I might need to look up some fighting videos at home. Oh! Shit, I gotta go!" he realized upon noticing the sun was starting to set, meaning that back in Japan it was probably rising! Walking over to Melissa he quickly picked her up in his arms like before and took off over the side of the building before flying down to the ground and setting her down. "Sorry to cut this all short, I gotta get back home for school." he apologized.

Melissa shook her head, "It's fine, I understand. See you around?" she asked hopefully.

The half human nodded, "Yeah, I liked hanging out. And you were right about that place, great coffee."

Melissa smiled before letting out a yawn, "I should get going home too, I gotta get ready for when my classes start tomorrow." she said before chuckling at how he needed to get ready for school while she had been done for hours now, "Time zones." she said amusingly.

"Right." he laughed out, "So um….see you later." he said, bidding farewell as he backed off up into the air, Melissa smiling and nodding at him before he turned and flew off into the sky. Mako smiling to himself, She thought I was amazing…..cool.

Arriving back at home as his mom and dad got up for the day, he changed into his school uniform that had been washed overnight before taking off for school. Landing a block away from the school so he could meet up with Izuku, he met his friend as he got off the train platform. "So your fingers are all healed up?" he asked his friend as they walked along the sidewalk to U.A. together.

Izuku smiled as he held up his now undamaged hand, "Yep! Recovery Girl's quirk is amazing! Even with it's drawbacks of feeding off my stamina." he said sheepishly.

Mako shook his head, "I still can't believe you had something that powerful under the hood for so long." he said with disbelief. While Izuku had told him about his quirk after the Entrance Exam to U.A. it was still a big pill to swallow considering that he had never really put that much on his friend suddenly developing a quirk one day.

Izuku stiffened as they continued walking, "Y-Yeah. Crazy right?" he asked with a slight stutter, his eyes darting over to his friend. His green eyes stared at his oldest and most trusted friend…..the moment his quirk developed, he wanted to tell Mako everything about it. But he had been sworn not to tell anyone about the secret of One for All by All Might, and that included his best friend. And he's not questioning it. Not as much as I thought anyway.

"So you were telling me yesterday that you can only use it at 100% right now right?" Mako asked, drawing Izuku out of his inner thoughts to nod. "Well how are you going to make it like…..turn down?" he asked, "I mean can't you use just 1% and work your way up?" he asked.

Izuku pursed his lips together, "That's the idea, but honestly I don't really know how to do that." he said truthfully before looking at Mako questionably. "How do you hold yourself back when you use your strength?" he asked.

Mako sighed in irritation, "Search me, I mean the last guy I fought with my full strength knocked me around just as well and-" he began before closing his mouth. Izuku stopped as he processed what he said and Mako winced, "Aw crap."

"Mako you fought someone?! When?!" he exclaimed in surprise, the idea of his friend getting into a fight with someone was shocking.

Mako looked around to see if anyone had heard them before grabbing Izuku and dragging him towards the gate of U.A. "This morning, I went to I-Island to meet a friend and these big blue twins broke into one of the labs there and tried to steal something." he explained. Izuku's green eyes widened to the size of plates, gawking at his friend as he realized he had fought actual villains!

"You fought villains! And Won!" he exclaimed before a look of confusion came over him, "Wait, who do you know on I-Island?" he asked with a perplexing expression.

Mako felt his face warm up as he thought of Melissa, "I….well…she's the one who made my costume and we've been….hanging out." he said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. Melissa was really something else, Izuku's head tilted in confusion as though he was putting puzzle pieces together.

"Oh that's…nice…..is she nice? Or…..well…." he said, struggling to find the right words to say.

Mako nodded, "She is, she's actually really cool. She's learning to be a support student there, I couldn't sleep last night and since it's a time zone away I asked if she was up so we grabbed a cup of coffee and just caught up." he explained, Izuku seemed to be flabbergasted by his friend's action.

"Y-You just asked her? Like that?" he asked.

Mako blinked, "What? No, yeah. Why? We just got coffee, then the big blue bad guys showed up and we went to go see, I stepped in, met Crust, and-"

"You met Crust!? He's the number seven hero in Japan! Or he's predicted to be." Izuku said before reaching into his backpack and pulling out a notebook, "He'sabletocreatesmallshieldsmadeoutofcrustthatheproduces,someofthemareevenbulletproofifyoucan-" he began mumbling before Mako snapped his fingers and drew Izuku out of his rambling. "It's just…..I knew you were always braver then me….I just didn't think-" he began shyly.

Mako shook his head, "Dude what the hell are you talking about? It was just coffee it wasn't like a-" he began before he put the pieces together, "Oh! No, we're not-I'm not her-we're not like that." he said as he waved his hands in front of his face.

Izuku perked up and laughed sheepishly, "Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed." he apologized as they walked up to the front door of U.A. Going to their lockers, the two friends changed into their school shoes before continuing to class.

As they walked, Mako smirked, "I mean, it's not like she calls me by a nickname or anything." he teased, causing his friend's face to get so red that it made fire look cooler by comparison.

The day from then on was fairly simple, they had basic classes in the morning like English with Present Mic, which Mako's bi-lingual skills really helped him out with as he could speak both Japanese and English. Then they all had lunch in the cafeteria with the cooking hero Lunch Rush making all their meals for them, Mako's mom had one of his cookbooks at home as he remembered. And the later half of the day was their hero studies class.

"I AM-" the entire class seemed to jump awake at the sound of the hero voice before the door opened and the teacher leaned inside, hanging onto the sides of the door, "-ENTERING THE ROOM LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" All Might exclaimed proudly to the class.

"Holy crap it's All Might! He's actually here!"

"Isn't that his Silver Age costume he's wearing?"

"He looks so different from other heroes!"

All Might strode into the room in what was indeed, his Silver Age hero costume, Mako only knew this because he had gotten a collectable statue with that exact same costume on him for Izuku's Birthday one year. The costume itself was colorful to say the least, with bright yellow boots with a white trim over blue pants with whit on the sides, a yellow belt around his wait to separate the cherry red torso and arms with a white circle in the middle of the chest with a bracket of white on each side that went up to the circles on the shoulders. Where a dark blue cape hung off his back, on his forearms were the same yellow as his boots but with two fins on the out side of his arms.

That's normal for him to enter a room that way? Mako amusingly thought as he glanced over at Deku who was a few seats to his left, he was surprised that he wasn't just shaking in his spot from seeing his personal hero in the flesh. Huh, guess he got it all out of system when he went for a ride with him. Mako assumed, chuckling at the memory.

"Greeting my students! And welcome to Hero Basic Training!" he greeted as he stood behind the desk with his hands on his hips. "This class is specially designed to mold you into future heroes!" he said before reaching behind him, "Now then, we have no time to waste so today's activity is this:" he said before pulling a card out from behind with with the word 'Battle' in all caps, "Battle Training!" he said with excitement which quickly spread throughout the class. Mako blinked in surprise, he didn't expect them to get into it so quickly! "And what's the first step? It's looking good!" he said as he hit a button in the same hand he had the card in, making the wall on the left side of the class extend out!

Oh hell yes! I'm so in to this class! Mako thought excitedly.

"After you change, come out in ranking order to ground Beta!" he instructed to the class, each of the students getting up from their seats to retrieve the briefcase in the wall which contained their respective costumes.

Mako strode up to number 21 on the wall and snagged the briefcase, Hello old friend! he thought excitedly as he saw Izuku grab his own. This is gonna be an awesome day. Mako thought to himself as the class was dismissed to go change.

Getting to the locker rooms, the class was instructed to exit in numerical order, meaning that Mako would be last. However it didn't reduce Mako's excitement in the least, pulling his fingerless gloves down his hands and forearms, he looked in his briefcase to see his mask staring back at him. Reaching in he picked up the yellow cloth with reflective lenses and took a deep breath. "Alright, let's do this." he said before pulling his mask down over his face. Walking out of the locker room and down the long tunnel that led to the training ground, Mako had to stop himself from flying straight out the gate, but he did let himself fly out, his arms reaching in front of him before he pulled himself into a stop.

Mako was greeted with a diverse and colorful assortment of costumes worn by his fellow students. He saw that Bakugo wore an outfit consisting of a black tank top with a orange 'X' across the middle with metal grey shoulder pads, the most distinct feature being the large grenade shaped things on his forearms. Iida wore what Mako could only describe as a suit of full armor with what looked like mufflers on the back. Kirishima wore fairly sparse costume that showed off his arms and torso with his shoulders covered by some red gear looking accessories, and Uraraka wore a form fitting costume that was pink and black with large, oversized gauntlets knee high boots with heels.

Landing on the ground, a few of the others noticed him with Kirishima giving him a thumbs up in approval, Iida saw him and the eyes of his mask widened, "Ah Mako! That's a very solid designed costume!" he complimented before turning to his side, the viltumite followed his gaze and Mako's jaw dropped at Izuku's costume.

It looked…

It wasn't…

It had a….

It was…

It…

It was dorky.

It was light green jumpsuit with a black safety pads on the knees and elbows, he wore a large pair of white gloves and a red belt around his waist with the same shoes that he wore to class today. Oh….boy I…..I need to be supportive, I-oh my god why does it have bunny ears?! he thought as he noticed the two protrusions sticking out the top of his mask as he turned.

Izuku's face lit up when he saw him, "Holy Woah! That's your costume?!" he asked as he quickly rushed over to look his best friend over. "The colors are really complementary, and your mask is so cool! Way cooler then mine." he said bashfully upon seeing the iconic design Mako had gotten.

He couldn't help but chuckle at his friend, "Thanks man, yours is…..unique!" he said, hoping he wouldn't take it the wrong way.

Izuku looked down at it with pride, "Yeah, my mom….well she got it for me." he replied happily as he placed a hand over his chest and smiled.

Suddenly what Mako thought of the costume's design didn't seem to matter much to him, "Oh man that's cool. Did she make the mask too?" he asked, pointing to his own head.

Before Izuku could further elaborate, All Might cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Alright then, is everyone here then? Then we'll begin shortly." he announced to the students as they all lined up in front of their teacher.

"Sensei," Iida began as he raised his hand up, "Will this be another test like the entrance exam with Cityscape Maneuvers?" he asked dutifully, making Mako glance around to confirm that what Iida said was correct, the fake city resembled the one he took the entrance exam in as well.

All Might shook his head, "A good question, but no. Today we're moving onto step two." he said as he looked across the students in front of him, "Today, you will all be participating in Indoor Anti-Personel battle training!" he announced, making Mako tilt his head to the side in confusion. Interior battle training? But every single superhero fight he'd seen took place….well, out in the open. "While most battles with villains are commonly seen outdoors, statistically speaking the most dangerous and heinous villains are more likely to appear indoors." he informed his students.

Huh, never really considered that but that makes sense. Mako thought, Man imagine how many fights no one knows about just because they take place inside. he thought as he scratched his hair.

Aside from Mako, a few questions where raised, "What exactly constitutes a victory?" a girl in a somewhat revealing costume asked.

"How badly can we hurt the other Team?" Bakugo growled out.

"Are you going to threaten to expel us like Aizawa Sensei?" Uraraka asked nervously.

"How will teams be assigned?" Iida asked.

"Does this cape sparkle?" another one asked.

"One at a time! My quirk isn't super hearing!" All Might said before pulling out a small thing of paper to read from, making a few students sweat drop, "Listen up! Here's the situation, Villains are hiding a nuclear weapon inside their hideout. The hero have to go in and recover the device." he began before getting into details. "Heroes have a limited amount of time to capture the weapon, OR apprehend the Villains. Meanwhile the villains can either capture the heroes, or protect the weapon until time runs out." he explained before stepping aside to show a small podium with two boxes. "As for the teams, we'll be drawing lots to decide who is on the team."

Something suddenly clicked in Mako's mind, "Um, sir?" he began as he raised his hand, "There's an odd number of us though, so doesn't that mean one team will have one extra person?" he asked, remembering that he was the 21st and last student.

A girl in a green outfit with goggles on her head nodded, "That's true, that wouldn't exactly be fair to the other team. Kero." she ribbited.

All Might nodded, "That's quite right, usually there's only twenty students allowed within the Hero course class." he acknowledged. "However as your homeroom teacher said, the odds won't always be in your favor, as you may face more opponents then you have allies on. And vice versa, you may have more allies then you have enemies, which can cause them to act more desperately." All Might reasoned.

Izuku nodded beside Mako, "He's right, most pros enter a situation without really knowing what they're getting into. So they at times will have to face multiple villains at once." he reasoned to his friend as he looked at him. "And conversely, having more people to help you can change up how you approach a situation."

Mako nodded in understanding, the rest of the class agreeing with the logic silently as well, "Alright then Zygotes! Let's get started! We'll have the team of three decided first!" he announced as he reached into the both the box and pulled out three names.

Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, And Mako Metuki.

The former and later of which smiled to each other, "Holy crap what are the odds!?" Mako said excitedly before looking over to Uraraka who seemed just as excited, looking back to Izuku he saw his friend's face glow red underneath the face mask.

"Whoohoo! Same team!" she cheered, Mako smiled as he held up a hand for her to high five which she did.

The rest of the teams were quickly selected and designated in alphabetical order, with Mako, Izuku, and Uraraka being team A. "Now then! First up are these two!" All Might announced as he reached into two bins at once, one black and one with villain and hero on them respectively. Pulling out his hands he crossed them over each other, it was teams A as heroes, and team D as villains.

Team D being Iida and Bakugo.

"Oh….god, what are the odds?" Izuku asked as his head lowered.

"The villain team goes into the building first, the timer goes off in five minutes and then the hero team can go in. The rest of us will watch from the basement where a CCT is set up." All Might instructed as he turned to the 'villain' team, "Iida, Bakugo, for this exercise you'll both need to adopt a villain's mindset. While I encourage you to give it your all, I will stop the exercise if things go too far." he explained.

As the two groups split up, All Might handed documents to the hero team before entering the basement with the rest of the students. Uraraka flipped through them and her face brightened up, "Oh hey! These are blueprints, this should help us out a lot." she said happily, "Plus we don't need to worry about being expelled if we fail, so this shouldn't be too stressful-" she began as he turned to Izuku, "-Oh your sweating through your costume!" she noticed, Mako's friend standing in place and shaking as he looked over the documents as well.

Mako reached over and put his hand on his shoulder to stop him, knocking him out of it, "I mean, it might not be easy. We're up against Iida and Kacchan." he said sadly, the thought of going up against Bakugo legitimately scaring him.

The gravity user gave the boy a sympathetic look, "He's the one who bullies you huh?" she asked sadly, recalling the harsh words Bakugo had said to him. As she thought about it, she was pretty sure the only one he didn't disregard or belittle was their teachers.

"He's an asshole." Mako said.

"I mean…he is a jerk…but he's amazing." Izuku admitted, Mako turning to him with his brow furrowing beneath his mask, "He has really admirable goals, and a really powerful quirk…..he's stronger then me in every way." he admitted before reaching down to the facemask around his neck and adjusting it over his exposed mouth, "But that's exactly why I want to win." he said with determination that threw his friend off guard.

Mako smiled, "Well…..I'm going to punch him. Right in the face." he said plainly, making Izuku gawk at him.

"Mako?!" he squawked.

"Izuku. I have been waiting ten years for this. And you can't tell me to my face that you don't want to see me do it." he said pointing at his friend while Uraraka snickered to herself.

"B-B-But the goal!"

"I don't care. I'm gonna punch him." Mako replied coolly.

Izuku sighed, "Well, knowing Kacchan, you'll probably get your wish." he began. "He's got a bone to pick with me, and I imagine he'll go straight on the offensive because of it." he reasoned. Mako nodded in agreement, he saw how Bakugo reacted yesterday, no doubt he was still pissed that Izuku was able to at the very least attempt to challenge him. "So I say we use that to our advantage."

Mako turned to him, "Wait, you want to use yourself as Bait?!" he asked.

"It's the best way to divide him and Iida, he's smart so I doubt that he'll leave the weapon undefended." he reasoned, Mako pursed his lips and nodded in agreement, Iida was in a word, dutiful. He wasn't going to just ditch the objective in order to help Bakugo with some stupid grudge.

"Alright then, so what's the plan?" he asked, Izuku seemed taken aback by the question but looking to Uraraka she saw she as well was looking at him expectantly.

"U-uh….Well….I have an idea." he began.

Five minutes later, Izuku and Uraraka were making their way though the building here the 'villains' and the bomb was located. We'll make our through the building floor by floor, meanwhile, Mako will go around the outside and search for the bomb. Izuku thought to himself, recalling the plan as he stopped at a corner and peeked around the side while Uraraka stopped behind him until he signaled with his hand to follow her. I can't use All for One at 100% safely, so that means I'll have to fight without it. But with Uraraka's Zero Gravity, and Mako's strength and flight? We should stand a chance when Kacchan- he began as they approached a corner where Bakugo leapt out from!

The two where stunned briefly for a moment, Izuku acting fast as Bakugo raised his hand and set off an explosion and he tackled Uraraka out of the way, scorching off half of his mask. "Deku! Are you alright?" Uraraka asked with concern as Izuku got up and looked over at their opponent.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just a scratch!" he dismissed before his body began to freeze up when he saw Kacchan.

Bakugo was infuriated, "You Dogged me?! ME?" he shouted as Uraraka raised a hand to her ear.

"Mako do you read me? We're on the second floor, east side," she said.

Izuku turned back to her, "Uraraka! Go!" he said, the gravity girl nodding before taking off the way they came to circle around Bakugo who was solely locked onto Deku.

"Don't worry! I'll just hurt you just enough so I won't be disqualified!" he said as he raised his right arm. Then, Izuku did something that Bakugo would never have expected from him, he stepped as he swung his arms and grabbed it! What the-!? Did he just- Bakugo started before Izuku pivoted on his heel and swung Bakugo over his shoulder and flipped him down onto the ground hard! Read My Moves?!

"Kacchan, I know you always lead with a big right hook. I've seen it enough times!" Izuku said as Bakugo slowly got up onto his hands and feet, Izuku was still hunched over from the throw, "I analyzed every hero I thought was amazing in that notebook of mine! The same one you blew up that day!" he proclaimed as he stood up. He wasn't confident, he was shaking in place but he still stood tall. "I'm done being you punching bag Kacchan! From now on, Deku is the name of a hero!"

Bakugo growled in anger before blasting himself off the ground and swinging foot out into Izuku, who raised his arm to try and block the attack as best he could, Bakugo then realized the capture tape Izuku had was wrapped around his leg! His arm swung and once again, Izuku dodged beneath it!

As Izuku rolled to safety, the transmitter in his ear buzzed, "Hey guys! I found it, Iida is on the fifth floor with the bomb!" Mako said over the radio.

Outside the building, Mako flew around the building at a slowed speed, as much as he didn't like Izuku using himself as bait for Bakugo, it did leave Iida alone with the bomb like he had predicted. "Alright then! Mako, go after it, Uraraka?" Izuku's voice asked.

"I'm on my way up Mako!" she confirmed as he flew up to the air above the top floor.

"Alright then, good luck Izuku." he said before slamming down through the air and roof of the building, directly into the room with Iida who jumped into action upon the shape falling through the hole. "Hey Iida." he greeted with a smirk as he raised his fists to the other student.

"Ah Curses! You foolish hero! You've interfered with my plans!" Iida cried out before raising a fist to the air, "You shall rue the day you crossed me and my villainous organization hero! I swear it! Do you hear me!? I swear-" Iida began before Mako covered his mouth and bent over, trying his hardest to not flat out laugh at Iida's impersonation and failing. "Wh….what's so funny?" he asked.

Mako stood back up, "Dude. What is that?" he laughed.

"My evil villain voice." Iida relied dutifully.

"Ok since when do Villains even talk like-you know what? Nevermind. Let's just do this." he said with a chuckle before shooting off the ground at Iida. However as Mako left the ground, Iida turned on his heel and rocketed towards the large oversized bomb behind him, picking it up and zooming off as Mako flew through the air where it was! "The hell?!" he yelped as he hit the wall with his shoulder, making a large crack splinter out from where he hit it before turning back to Iida.

"Muahaha! Why do you think we choose this room specifically for the bomb hero! I know you're nowhere near as maneuverable as I am despite your flight!" he announced, making Mako frown. Iida was faster then him and even more maneuverable in tight spaces, and Mako was used to flying out in the open, in fact this was the first time he's even flown indoors.

Aw crap, I don't want to run through the walls when I'm trying to grab him! Mako thought as he once more flew at Iida, however as Iida moved to the left, Mako stopped and shot after him towards the wall only for Iida to throw the weapon back through the air over Mako's head, run up the wall, and launch himself back as Mako slowed down! "Damnit!"

"Muah ha ha! I can tell by your course language that my strategy is indeed working!" Iida mocked villainously as Mako's brow creased. This wasn't entirely going according to plan, the plan was for Izuku to work as a distraction and Mako to simply swoop in and snatch the weapon from Iida. Since Mako was the fastest out of the three of them it was a natural choice, but Iida was just far more experienced and maneuverable. Shit! Mako mentally cursed as he clipped a corner trying to catch Iida, Well at least he can't leave this room with how big that bomb is. he thought as Iida moved carried it while sliding to a halt.

Ok well maybe if I can't out run him I can out pace him. Mako thought as he looked down at Iida's legs, Iida had to tire out eventually. The question was could he manage to do it within the time left in the exercise. Guess the only way is to find out! he thought before shooting off at Iida, the villain readied to move before a voice called out.

"Gotcha!" Iida turned his head back to see Uaraka leap from the doorway of the room at him! Without gravity weighing her down she all but flew through the air as well!

Darn! This is bad! With both of them here, I might not be able to-

KABOOOMMM!

Iida's thought was cut off as the entire building shook to its foundations from a powerful explosion, Mako stopped in midair in concern giving Iida the chance to sprint past him with the device and set it down so he could reach for the comm in his ear, "Bakugo! What was that?!" he asked, only to not get a response, "Did-Did he cut off his transceiver?!" Iida barked out indignantly as Mako caught Uraraka by the hand in the air and gently let her down to the ground where the gave her gravity back to herself.

Mako's eyes widened at that, "I'm gonna go check it out, but I'll be back!" he said to Uraraka who nodded in understanding. With permission he shot up back through the hole he entered the room through and flew around to the front of the building, "HOLY SHIT!" he exclaimed upon seeing a massive hole in the front of the building. Swooping down through the hole, he saw Izuku on the ground with his mask completely blown off and his costume scuffed up. He looked down the hall, the apparent origin of the blast to see Bakugo grinning in satisfaction.

Mako felt his anger boil over, "Oh well look who it is! The other useless-" he began before Mako flew right at him, Bakugo quickly lowered his hands and shot himself up over Mako as he flew below him, blasting him in the back and making him hit the ground. The viltrumtite pivoted off the ground and shot back up into Bakugo before he could react, slamming a right hook into the side of his face!

Damn that felt good! Mako thought as the explosive student rolled across the ground as Mako floated in the air. Bakugo recovered onto his feet and once more blasted off at the teen again, Mako raised his hands to attack, but before Bakugo reached him he swung his own hands up as small explosions popped off in his palms! Suddenly Mako's entire head was engulfed in an explosion!

Mako was sent flying back into the ceiling, covering the sides of his head as he fit the ground, What the hell?! GAHHH! he internally screamed as he grit his teeth. Opening his eyes he saw that his lenses had been blown off and were laying broken on the floor. Looking up, he saw Bakugo smirking down at him triumphantly.

"Doesn't matter how though you think you are! An explosion to your fucking head would scramble anyone's brains!" he said as he once more raised his hands. Mako thought fast and shot forward, tackling the spikey haired blonde and slamming him into the wall behind him hard enough to crack it, Bakugo choked down the air that was almost forced out of him and slammed his hands down onto the viltrumute's back and letting loose a series of explosions, "Let go of me damnit!" he shouted before finally blasting Mako off him.

Mako skid back along the ground, Bakugo raised his hands to fire off another blast, the viltrumte shot forward and locked his hands against Bakugo's! The explosions set off in his palm made Mako flinch but they didn't hurt, Mako grinned and Bakugo suddenly realized he was basically trapped by someone with super strength, "Shit." he said before he was hurled over Mako's head and slammed into the ground, then back over and into the ground again, and again…and again, and again before Mako swung him around in half a circle and threw him into the wall.

"Had enough?" he asked as he walked over to Bakugo, before he could react, Bakugo's hands were up and blasted him back across the room, Mako slammed his feet down to slow himself.

Bakugo raised his other gauntlet, "Young Bakugo! Stop!" All Might's voice over the P.A. system ordered, "If you preform that move again, I'll have no choice to disqualify you. Your supposed to be PROTECTING your hideout!" he explained as Mako slid across the ground to Izuku's side.

"Ugggh, you ok?" Mako asked as he got up off his back.

Izuku winced, "Yeah." he said, his voice unsure.

Mako reached up to his ear and felt something wet, drawing his hand back he saw a smear of blood on his fingertip. Ok I need to ask dad what exactly his definition of 'invincible' is. he thought dryly. "So we're kind of running out of time. Any ideas?" he asked.

Izuku pursed his lips together, with Mako here they could possibly capture Bakugo, but even if Mako flew them up there wouldn't be enough time to capture Iida or secure the weapon. All they needed was the weapon, so if they could just isolate Iida from that then-"I got it!" he said suddenly to Mako, "Go outside and wait! You'll know it when you see it!"

Mako looked over to Bakugo, "Are you sure? Because the last time I left you alone with him he made a hole in the building!" he said, tilting his head to the large hole that Bakugo had created with his quirk.

"Mako. Trust me." Izuku said, his friend looked back at him, ready to disagree before remembering what Aizawa had told him yesterday.

Coddling him will get him nowhere.

Mako bit the inside of his cheek, "Alright, fine. I got to punch him in his stupid face."

"Your face is stupider then mine or Deku's!" Bakugo called out to him, "Now get! This is between me and stupid Deku!" he barked.

Mako did the reasonable thing and flipped him off before fling out the hole and away from the building. Flying up high over the building, Mako heard Izuku's quieter voice, "Alright, Mako, I want you to watch Uraraka and Iida from outside, when he drops his guard, go in and grab the bomb! I'll cause a distraction!" Izuku whispered so that Bakugo couldn't hear him, "Uraraka, when I say so, grab onto something sturdy! Where's Iida now?" he asked.

"He's near the north side of the building!" Uraraka informed.

Mako hovered outside the floor that Iida and Uraraka were on, sure enough he was still defending the bomb, standing between her and the bomb, but with his back to a solid wall there was no way Mako could accurately go through and guarantee that he could get the weapon. Man why can't X-Ray vision be part of my powers? he thought.

"Uraraka! Mako! Now!" Izuku's voice suddenly chimed un before a shockwave shot up through the building with a powerful gust of wind blasting the roof off!

"Holy shit!" Mako exclaimed as he looked inside to see Uraraka bat debris at Iida with a large pillar. Mako shot through the window he was looking through as Iida raised his arms to cover his head in protection. Zooming past him, he grabbed onto the weapon, lifting it up over his head.

"The hero team wins!" All Might's voice declared over the speakers, making Mako smile widely at the accomplishment.

Setting the weapon down on the ground, he turned to Iida, "Hey man, no hard feelings?" he asked hopefully as the armored student turned to him as he removed his helmet.

Iida smiled ruefully and shook his head, "No, it was a fair match. Forgive me for my earlier dialogue, it was unbecoming of a hero." he said, bowing his head respectfully. Mako snickered and waved him off, "Now then we should probably gather our teammates and-" he said as he turned to see Uraraka hunched over and holding her mouth, "Uraraka!" he said before running around the large hole to her side, "Forgive me! I didn't take your queasiness into account in my diabolical plan!"

Mako winced at the sight of his teammate, "OH Crap! Izuku!" he realized before jumping down the hole and landing on the ground of the floor where he was a few minutes ago. He found Bakugo standing over Midoriya who was on the ground! "Izuku!" he exclaimed before rushing over, shoving Bakugo aside, the spiky blonde stumbling out of the way in an apparent daze.

Looking down at his friend, Mako winced when he saw his arm was bent at a wrong angle and was bruised all the way up to his shoulder, while his other was singed from what was no doubt another one of Bakugo's explosions. Anger flared through Mako and he whirled around to Bakugo, "What the hell is-!" he began before he saw the look on Bakugo's face.

He expected some sort of cocky smirk, or some sort of diminutive frown, but instead what he saw was a shellshocked expression that he had never seen on the explosive boy's face in his life. "Um…..are you….alright?" Mako asked unsurely as All Might walked into the room with a pair of nurse robots carrying a stretcher.

"Young Mako, don't worry about young Midoriya. These two will take him to the nurse's office. Please go rejoin the class." he asked as the two robots approached Izuku. Mako looked between him and Bakugo, the atter of which seemed to have a hard time breathing.

"Yeah….sure thing." he said, walking away and giving Bakugo a alarmed look. Should he go too? He looks like he needs to lie down. I mean I know he's got a complex about being number 1 but seriously. he thought in astonishment.

After Izuku was escorted to the nurse's office, Mako, Uraraka, Iida, and Bakugo were lined up in front of the class with All Might standing off to the side, "And I award the VIP of this battle to Iida!" All Might suddenly declared, making the entire class let out various noises of bafflement except for Bakugo who was oddly silent. Mako looked over and saw that even Iida was stunned by the news.

A girl with long black hair and a green costume raised her hand, "But shouldn't the VIP be on the team that won?" she asked, voicing what probably most of the class was wondering aloud.

All Might pointed at her, "A Valid question! Anyone care to guess?" he asked the class.

A girl in a red one piece unitard with a line exposing her navel up to her chin raised her hand, "Sir?" she asked, All Might nodded, "Iida was the one who took the exercise the most seriously out of all the students." she began. "From what we saw, Baukgo's actions were guided by some sort of personal grudge, which led him to foolishly destroy parts of his own hideout." she said, Mako waited for Bakugo to make some sort of outburst but none came. "Midoriya did the same, as did Mako but his was more controlled and didn't cause nearly as much damage. However when confronted with Iida, he lost focus. Furthermore, he abandoned Uraraka to check on Midoriya, if the nuclear weapon was real? Then this could have possibly doomed the entire city." she reasoned.

Mako winced, if he had stayed with Uraraka, they probably could have captured the weapon sooner and won the match, meaning that Izuku wouldn't have needed to use his quirk the way he did. Rubbing the back of his head he nodded in agreement with the young woman's assessment. Dad and Aizawa were right, if I'm spending all my time worrying about Izuku then I'm not going to be able to do anything. And not to mention he's not going to be able to grow either.

After the rest of the student groups ran their exercises, All Might dismissed the students to the class room while he went to go check up on Midoriya. Mako arrived back at the classroom with his other classmates which he had been more properly introduced to through watching the rest of them on their exercises, "So ow do you fly dude?" he was asked by Mina, the pink haired and skinned girl with horns who could produce acid from her body.

"Well, my dad says that we're able to control our own leverage? I'm not exactly sure, it does work like a muscle though and I can get tired after a while." he explained.

He was standing by her desk while she sat down and Kirishima was sitting beside her desk at the one next to it, "Really? So it's like a muscle?" he asked curiously. Mako nodded in affirmation, "So wait, does that mean you can work it out?" he asked in excitement.

Mako shrugged, "Apparently? I haven't really tried yet." he admitted, with his stamina at the level it was now he would need to fly at full speed to really push himself and he hasn't had any reason to do that.

Mina gasped, "Oh man you can go anywhere in the world if you wanted to!"

Mako smirked, "I did actually fly to Hawaii a few weeks ago, they have the best hot dog stand there." he said, remembering the treat his dad gave him for working so hard to get his flying license.

Kirishima groaned, "Aw man, that's so cool! Wish my quirk could let me do that." she mumbled in disappointment to himself.

"Well I needed to get my flying license which was kind of a pain." he said before shuddering, "It was just them showing us 'failed flyers' videos and what happens if you don't follow the rules. Like this one poor guy got caught in a plane engine." he said, making both the other students cringe at the idea.

"On second thought the ground sounds nice." Mina suddenly said.

Mako snorted as he glanced over to Izuku's seat, his friend still hadn't returned from the nurse's office. Kirishima noticed his worried glance, "Hey, I'm sure Midoriya is fine." he assured the other teen. Mina nodded in agreement as Tysu, the girl with a frog quirk that let her do….well, anything a frog can, walked over.

"From what Ochako says, he was worse off during the entrance exam and she fixed him up all right. Kero." she ribbited assuredly. The viltrumites rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "But if I'd be worried to if my friend got blown up by Bakugo." she admitted, making the group titter. Mako looked over the explosive boy's desk and saw that it was empty as well, the blonde bomber having been eerily quiet the entire day after his match.

I don't think I've ever seen him like this before, I mean I get that loosing sucks but this is a whole new level. Mako admitted to himself. He always wanted to see Bakugo taken down a peg or two from how he talked down to everybody. But he almost seemed depressed from it, Mako shook his head at the thought. What the hell do I care? Guy has made me and Izuku's lives hell for years, he deserves it. he thought bitterly.

When the door to the room slid open from the other side, Midoriya barely took a step inside before he was swarmed by a few of the students.

"Dude you were awesome back there!" Kirishima prasied before introducing himself, "I'm Enjiro Kirishima! Nice to meet you!"

Mina bouced over excitedly, "I'm Mina Ashido and you're really good at dodging!" she praised.

Mako meanwhile hung back and gave his friend a smile and thumbs up which Izuku saw and returned with a shaky one of his own from his hand that wasn't in a cast, Dad was right. I need to stop being so damn protective. And I mean look at him, not like it's just me in his corner anymore. he thought, watching as Uraraka entered the room with Kaminari. When she saw Deku was back she rushed over, leaving Kaminari behind to check on their mutual friend.

Izuku suddenly noticed that one of the class wasn't there, "Hey, where' Kacchan?" he asked. Mako pursed his lips together as Uraraka explained that he just left, Izuku's expression turned into a mixture of uncertainty and determination. He looked up at Mako, his best friend sighed and shrugged his shoulders, silently telling him that it wasn't his call. "Sorry everyone, but I need to go. I'll be right back!" he said before turning out the door he came and rushing after Bakugo before anyone could stop him.

Well, who knows? Maybe this is what they both need? Mako asked himself.

As Mako talked to a few of the other students, mainly telling Iida to chill out for a student sitting on a desk, Izuku would go on to reveal something to Bakugo that would come back to haunt him later.

Soon, school officially let out for the day, Mako along with the rest of Class 1A were dismissed to go home. Mako, Uraraka, and Iida all waited outside for izuku to return from changing into his school uniform. "So I gotta ask, was working with Bakugo as bad as I imagined?" he asked Iida as he floated in the air with his feet crossed underneath him.

Iida turned to him with a disapproving look, "Mako I shall not commence in gosship over a fellow student! It's not becoming of either a hero, or a UA student." he defended proudly.

Mako hissed through his teeth, "That bad?" he asked.

Iida was silent for a moment before letting out a long tired sigh, "Yes…..yes it was." he admitted, Uraraka reaching over and patting him sympathetically on the shoulder as Iida turned to Mako. "Has he always been this abrasive?" he asked the floating student.

Mako nodded affirmatively, "Ever since I met him. I came here from the US back when I was like five, Bakugo's been like that since." he explained, making Uraraka tilt her head questionably as to what could possibly make Bakugo act like that.

She remembered Izuku saying that he was amazing, and he wasn't wrong, attitude aside he was really talented, but that made how he behaved more confusing to her. "He acts like he's trying to prove something." she commented.

Mako rubbed the back of his head unsurely, "Who knows? At this point I'm just fed up with him. If he can't handle loosing then maybe he shouldn't be here." he said dismissively.

Iida frowned, "Mako, while I may not agree that Bakugo is the most pleasant, he worked to be here just as much as any of us." he defended.

Mako pursed his lips together, remembering how Bakugo told hm and Izuku to go jump off the roof if they wanted quirks in the next life. But then he also remembered how damn defeated he looked all of today after losing in the exercise. "Maybe, but that doesn't give him the excuse of being an ass." he replied.

Iida sighed, "Well, who knows? Maybe this experience will humble him?"

"HA!" Mako barked out in laughter.

"I was being serious!" Iida exclaimed.

Mako was grinning, "Oh man, that's rich Iida, thanks I needed that." he giggled out in amusement. The turbo powered teen hanging his head low in disappointment of the lack of belief from his friend.

Suddenly the doors to the school opened and Izuku walked out wearing most of his school uniform with the jacket draped over his cast, "Thanks for waiting guys." he said gratefully. Noitcing Iida and Mako's polarizing expressions, he looked at Uraraka questionably who shook her head, "So uhh….crazy day huh?" he asked as they began walking home.

Mako sighed, "it's the second day in a row we've said that…."

"And it's the second day of school." Uraraka groaned out as well.

Mako reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, "That reminds me, I gotta call Melissa about fixing my costume. Oh man I hope she's not mad." he realized worriedly. It was the first day he wore his costume and he already got the mask blown up.

Uraraka tilted her head, "Melissa?"

"His girlfriend." Izuku answered instantly before he could stop himself. The group stopped as Mako turned to him in alarm as Izuku slapped his hand over his mouth! "I-I-I'm sorry it just came out!"

"Dude!" Mako cried out indignantly.

"Awww! That's super sweet Mako!" Uraraka cooed.

"What?!" Mako asked as Iida set a hand on his shoulder.

"Mako while I don't think it's wise to mix formal and personal relationships, I'm glad to hear you've found someone." he complimented. Mako glared at Deku was sweating from his slip of the tongue, Izuku knew that he was going to get back at him for this somehow.

AN: So quick little thing, I totally understand why people might be baffled/confused as to how Mako got only 4th in the exam, to be honest I didn't really think about it because ultimately it doesn't matter? But two points have been brought up and I want to share my thoughts on them.

Number 1: I don't know where this number came from but 'Viltrumutes on average can life 100,000 tons'? I took a look back through the comics and the only time we get a hard number on how strong mark is at one point is after he not only lost to his dad, but had gotten stronger since then, fought other viltrumites, and decided he needed to start working out.

So to preference this, he is far stronger than he was when he first started out when we get this number but still has farther to go, and his maximum strength at that point is 400 tons, it's stated in the comic by cecil as they're running tests on Mark. Now I don't know where exactly that number came from but if it's from a wiki or something then I really think it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Number 2: the long jump. Now this was really meant to be more of a joke/insight into someone who can fly because when you can fly, why would you jump like…at all? I just thought that'd be funny. Plus the point of the standing long jump is to see how strong your legs are and see how far you can jump. Yeah we see Bakugo do his thing with his explosions but he still lands, I mean would it even count if you don't land?

And I didn't really think about the other events that we didn't end up seeing (personally I think that it'd be funny that he has a hard time with hand toe exercise, invincible doesn't seem the most flexible) and we don't really see how the others are measured. I mean looking back I don't know how Momo got first place for all of these.

Anyway, that's all, just wanted to explain my reasoning beyond what I put in the fic. Obvously this is just my reasoning and.

Now then, right now your probably wondering how the hell Bakugo even affected Mako? Well there's a reason for it that will eventually be dove into.

Also what did you guys think of the action this chapter? I thought it was good but when I got to the Mako/Bakugo skirmish I wasn't too sure.

Alright then! Onto reviews:

Wizardwolf 1020: I mean it's what half of this is based off of so….yeah? I mean I think I see what you mean but I'm not taking the physics entirely seriously. I mean it's suspension of disbelief. As for the guadians intentionally beating him down, that doesn't make much sense to me. I mean in the comic Nolan kills them and leaves, no one knows he was there in the first place because he doesn't want to get discovered. That's the same thing Nolan in the show wants as well so why would he intentionally let himself get beaten to the point of unconsciousness to not only put himself at the scene of the crime, but provide possible evidence on his costume? That doesn't seem like a good plan to keep under the radar, especially when Nolan had no reason to be there in the first place.

I think it's kind of a problem that the show has, I mean Nolan never really shows anything super powerful in the comics at that point so I think it's more for the sake of the story. I mean they're throwing everything they can possibly can at Nolan and he's going through it. That's the whole reason for the episode and it builds tension great, but I think it might also make itseem like Nolan is like superman level strong when he's not.

And the mach 2 thing doesn't rally track since it takes him like half an hour to catch up to Mark and Eve or something in the show. If anything I think Invicible might be the show that exhaggerates.

As for the alien thing, it's in my mind that once superpowers became the norm, people are willing to accept more. Like you mention, OFA and AFO being trasnferrable throw things so out of wack in the show, but I think that's due to quirks being the foundation for society at that point. It's shattering to them because they've based their entire society around powers, and then suddenly they find out that they can be given out?

I guess a comparison would be if the illuminati were actually real and the world governments are actually controlled by a group of people.

That's my opinion of course, and that sort of informs how I write this fic.

For'Sleepy: Well I think that's more to show how they got to be a space fairing race, like if we want to reach that someday we need to be united together. If that makes sense.

Void is the Greatest: Thanks! And I'm pretty sure I's established in the mnaga that All Might is the greatest hero in the world. As for the guardians and the laser? I mean either the laser isn't as strong as it appears to be, or the guardians are thougher then they look.

Maelstrom Ressurected: The rules get bent a little here, I mean Shinso is able to join the classes at one point so apparently 21 students isn't that big of a deal.

Guest 1: I explained this up above but I'll gladly do it again, Mako's strength at this point isn't particularly powerful. After his fight with his dad in the show, like issue 48 I think actually, Mark can lift 400 tons, and this is after working out a lot. So compare that to Mako who hasn't worked out, hasn't really pushed himself at this point? 100 tons is a safe bet, plus that's enough to lift a space shuttle which we see him struggle with in both the show and comic at that point.

Also who knows how strong those grip things are? They're made for U.A. after all.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Well the thing is that he's sort of right, but for the wrong reasons. I mean it's never not bad to help someone, but you also can't let that person rely on you to constantly do something for them.

Also Karma Hudini? I don't know what that means but I love it.

Yeah seriously fuck that school.

Clearwing Yuta: Thanks!

KingBanana: And that's something I'm sort of worried about for the show? I mean if you make things too big now, then what happens later is going to need to look even bigger then it originally was as well in order to not look weak by comparison.

I wrote it being public knowledge, I mean he's been there for over 20 years, he kept it to himself for a while but eventually revealed it to everyone to help build more trust. But yeah, government knew for a while. And as for the heel turn….well we'll see when we get there.

Mystery 889: Viltrumites are…..not as invicible as they appear to be. That is all I will say.

Ssj1998: Ehhh, I'd be careful with Wiki's as that information isn't official and can be changed. I actually looked it up and the handbook that said that in wasn't written by the author of invicible, and we got an official number for how much he can lift like a year later with it beng 400 tons. And that was about a third of the way through his comic. for reference the omni man fight is 1/12 of the way through the story.

And I don't know if Mark has super stamina, he does get tired if he flies too long, and Nolan only ever says that they are strong, fast, and can fly. And I've seen Mark in the comics just sleep for half a day because he's exhausted, as well as be physically exhausted after flying at top speed.

But I'm glad your enjoying it!

Pittacos lore: Yeah, cecil showed up last chapter. As for demons….I mean aside from Monster Girl, Magic doesn't really ever come into play in Invincible. It's much more sci fi. Would be cool to see it in the show though.

Franco Fernadez: Dude! Spoilers. Come on man.

But so far, I've only shown Mako, who clearly isn't as strong as his dad. Nolan is obviously much stronger, but again, the 100,000 tons thing? The comic itself says otherwise so I don't think that's true, and I don't think Mark has been hit with a nuclear bomb, he gets hit with something at one point but they make a point of saying it wasn't nuclear.

Shadow-Proclimation8: Probably around 20, 30 percent?

The Toxic Love Machine: I got plans for Melissa.

Luke5921: Aw thank you! That's really nice to say!

Corporate Commander: Well sorta like here with the Muller Twins, they'll be expanded on later.

Thedark2: See I don't think that's true, because it takes him half an hour to get to mark and eve during episode 7, as for the FTL feat? We never really see that, he can fly far because of how long he can hold his breath, but also once you start going in space? You don't stop, you just keep gaining acceleration. That's not how it works on Earth.

MadTitan9: Sato is a good guy! Hell everyone but Mineta is! And some will, but some won't.

As for Amber, I get what they were going for, and I do actually like that Mark telling her that he's invicible doesn't automatically fix the problem, and I do get it but I think it could have been done much better without Amber seeming like that.

Guest 2: Battle Beast has a role in this that I really will enjoy, but yeah the uneven class numbers will come up.
