Time to see the new racer around the block, the rookie whom Bobbie Fletcher had been dealing with and preparing for the race to come, and how he'll react when he sees someone who is fabulous and beautiful, but won't have any part to play within her life and future. Enjoy this new chapter guys.
Spells and Louds.
Chapter 912: On the Racing Track.
(March 2. The Royal Woods Royale Raceway.)
The whole place is not ready for a race yet, but the location is just getting the racers ready, those who showed up early, and Bobbie Fletcher is one of them and she is having her stock car checked up, by her pit crew and her boyfriend Jack Cyber.
Lana is with them as well, and she is being watched over by Lori and Luan, and both louds don't even understand this whole car mechanic thing, and by the seats and looking around the vast race track are Leni and Loni.
Walking down the pathway near the track are Lincoln, Luna and Jordan and the trio talk about what they got planned for tomorrow. "So, we help our counterparts with some more training. Luna and Lincoln Loud, and Sam Sharp and also the Jordan Rosato from that world, right?" asked Jordan.
Lincoln nods. "Yeah, and Leni wants to tag along as well. This is gonna be something interesting, oh and we also have Marcy who wants to meet Delilah and what she can do. A dang shame that there is no Delilah in this world, she lost her life long ago because of her damned cousin, Leslie."
Luna nods. "And Leslie in this world is long gone due to us, and sure to hell we're not gonna bring her back. She has lost her mind and has become someone dangerous, I hope she's enjoying her eternity of suffering in hell."
"She can complain all she wants, but she is never ever getting out of there." Jordan feels angered. "I really hate her, but glad the Leslie in the other world is not a bad person, but instead is a Loud... Well, Lewis Loud."
"Something we all did not see coming" replied Lincoln, he then sees that they are arriving close to the others at the pits. They go over and hear them discussing about some small flaws within the engine.
"We need to replace the engine block, by having it renovated into something I have been working on, it won't make the car cheat in speed, but instead make it less of a problem. I have been seeing the footage of your previous races and I noticed that your car doesn't have the RPM to make it as fast as it was before."
Bobbie Fletcher nods. "Which means her engine is not doing well. Her engine is more than 6 years old, and she has been around since I first started racing. Perhaps she needs a total overhaul, but the race is this Saturday. Do we even have the time?"
"We can make time happen! Let's do this thing!" said Lana. The rest of the pit crew agree and they get ready to remove the engine, and Jack Cyber contacts FutureTech to open a portal and send in the engine block he has been working on for stock cars, he wants Bobbie Fletcher's car to be the first to have this new kind of engine system.
Just them, Bobbie Fletcher notices another racing team has made it to their own pits. "Whoa. Looks like the rookie and his team and manager have showed up."
They all see who it is, and Lana knows him. "Wait, that's Kurt Logann. He's the son of a legendary stock car racer, Jeremy Logann, and that man was the rival racer of your uncle!"
Bobbie Fletcher chuckles. "Good studying on the racers there, Lana. But yeah, it is all true. Here he comes, we're not rivals yet guys, unless it's on the track."
Kurt Logann and his manager, Janette Wilde go over. "Good to see that the ace and best of the track arrived here early, we could've been here early too but we had a problem with traffic and fans and..."
"He still refuses to go around to fly." Janette Wilde chuckles. "I have a private plan and you refuse to ride it."
"I am not good with heights Janette" replied Kurt, he then calms down and speaks. "Anyway, it feels good and amazing to be in a new town and the town where life changing stuff had begun, I gotta say, Royal Woods is awesome!"
Bobbie chuckles and smirks. "Tell me about it. They have been through a lot and have done so much to help others and fend off threats. Also, I think you know this guy here."
Jack Cyber is busy getting the engine block through the portal, and Victor is helping him. "How many god damn modifications did you do to this thing?!" The pit crew go over and help as well, it doesn't seem heavy to them.
"Shut up and move it, man" replied Jack Cyber. "Also, use some backbone and muscle next time, you have never once pushed an engine block of a vehicle, you use your electric powers for lifting stuff, moron." They manage to get the engine close to the racecar of Bobbie Fletcher.
Kurt sees the engine. "Dang, looks like your car is getting an overhaul and nice new engine too. Looks like she could go for more than 5 years of racing."
"Ten, if not pushed over the limit." Jack Cyber then goes over and shakes hands with Kurt. "Good to see ya, Bobbie told me all about you and how you two always try and beat the other on the track and you guys ended up with three ties in three states, right?"
Janette smirks. "Chances it could be four. These two are always gunning to see who is fastest, and it ends up in a tie, but the recent race from before ended with Bobbie Fletcher winning. The whole thing was fine, but this year is something Kurt is looking forward to."
Bobbie crosses her arms and chuckles. "Are you now?"
Kurt Logann chuckles and explains. "I have been doing my studying and making a lot of major changes to my mental and physical skills, and also seeing how we always tie in the last lap which confuses me, and I know for sure that this year I am gonna win, and be a champ."
Bobbie smirks. "We shall see Rookie, at least you're worth racing more than that cheating moron."
Kurt scoffs. "Don't get me started on him, after what happened last year, I am glad he is no longer a racer. He didn't deserve anything, and was better off arrested for his actions. God, I hate Korridor."
Lana watches as Kurt and Bobbie continue to talk over some stuff, and to witness her idol talking to her rookie rival is something she did not see coming. Lana now sees, that they might be rivals on the track, but off the track they seem to be normal people who are good friends. She feels like this is the right thing to do, and either Bobbie Fletcher or Kurt Logann, both are awesome racecar superstars in her book.
Kurt Logann then notices someone, someone he has seen. "Wait, is that Leni Ivy? I mean, Leni Spellman?"
They all look to the seats and see Leni and Loni and with them are Roserade and Dartrix, and the group look to the large racetrack and how wide it is and they are talking about a new fashion line which could be raceway themed.
"Yeah, it is her" replied Jack Cyber. "She said that she along with her boyfriend Loni are looking for some inspiration for a whole new fashion line for the college project they are doing, and chances they might have found it on the raceway and I don't know how they can incorporate that into fashion."
Bobbie Fletcher chuckles. "Trust me, babe. You can find anything of inspiring on the racetrack. Also, try and keep your jets in the cool, Kurt. I recall you have a small crush on her ever since she showed up on news, tone it down and get your head back on the racing game, Logann."
Kurt Logann realizes this and blushes and is now nervous. "Oh, ummm... Sorry, I guess. I didn't know what came over me, just kinda shocked to see Leni Ivy here. She sure is something."
Janette Wilde smirks. "Come on, Kurt. We need to see what else does our ride needs, modifications or replacements." She then walks off with Kurt Logann following them.
The sight of this rookie crushing over Leni Ivy makes them all chuckle and snicker, though Lincoln feels like something else. 'If they do meet, what are the odds that Loni is gonna get jealous, but then again... Kurt Logann looks like a man who respects others chances he might tone it down and calm the air when they do meet.'
Jordan then checks the time. "We should get going guys, we need to prepare for tomorrow." Lincoln and Luna nod, and they walk away from the others, and even wave to Lori and Luan goodbye, and message Leni and Loni that they are headed off.
They all continue with what they're doing on the race track, and Lincoln, Luna and Jordan take their leave from the place and head off back home and begin to plan out what they need to do for training to their counterparts, but they don't know about the men hiding on the outer walls of the raceway and watching them.
"We have Luna Frost in our sights. We don't engage yet."
"We need to wait for the right moment, and when the time comes, then we take her down."
"We've hunted a lot of stuff boys, but to take down the first superheroine, now that is the best prize of all!"
Luna Frost does stop and she looks around, and she feels like someone is watching her. She then walks away and yet feels cautious. 'Something doesn't feel right here.'
