"Look, look! We had some cooking leftover, so they said I could bring it home" Said aqua, as she held a big bowl filled rice, curry, and eggs, "Its a big score! " Said a smiling aqua
"Hey aqua, I don't wanna say this but..." Said Kazuma
"What?" Asked aqua
"To be blunt, I think we won't be able to defeat the devil king" Said Kazuma, as aqua paused and looked at him, "Listen, I never had any amazing powers like those fantasy protagonists do. Shouldn't some group endowed with powerful abilities, equipment, and so forth, be sent to fight the devil king instead? " Said Kazuma as he was caressing a cat
"Don't say that! I won't be able to go home that way! " Said an almost sobbing aqua
"Save those lines for when you do something an actual goddess would do, like guiding the hero or helping the hero by sealing the devil king until he can fight on his own" Said an irritated Kazuma "You dead-beat who's only useful for party tricks" Said Kazuma in an angry voice
Gohan entered their stable as heard Kazuma say that, "Oh hey -" Gohan was cut off by aqua crying
"That's the situation, so come up with some profitable business that's simple to do" Said Kazuma with his eyes closed, yet to notice Gohan
"Also, hurry up and teach me your recovery magic, the only thing you've got going for you" Said an angry Kazuma
"No! Anything but my recovery magic! "Said aqua as we cut off to the adventurers guild, with Gohan Kazuma megumin and darkness standing in front of a crying aqua
"Don't take away my reason for being! You've got me for that! Isn't that enough? " Said aqua as she went back to crying
"Is she always like this?" Asked a confused Gohan
"Only when it concerns money, quests or alcohol" replied darkness
"Your verbal lashings are pretty nasty, most women would cry if you said what's on your mind without holding back" Said megumin
"Meanie! Demon! Brute! " Said aqua in the background
"You need to be more considerate Kazuma, I'm not saying don't tell the truth, but be considerate of her feelings" Said Gohan with a look of pity, as he watched aqua sob even more
"If you're feeling stressed out, I wouldn't mind you verbally abusing me" Said darkness
"Oi, cut that out" Said a deadpanned Gohan
Aqua stopped to look at Kazuma, when Kazuma noticed her look, She went right back to crying "You're so cruel!"
'Why you little...' Thought an angry Kazuma as veins popped out his fist and forehead
"Emergency, Emergency!" Yelled out a distraught Luna, "All adventurers, please arm yourselves at once, and gather at the front gate, ready for battle! " She continued

While everyone gathered at the front gate, in front of the gate was a horse standing on a steep rock, with a knight on top of it, The knight was a headless one, He held his head with his hand, His armour was dark shiny purple
"Oi... That's no laughing matter" A person with a Mohawk said, As lightning started the crackle, and the sky darkens a bit.
"What is it?" Asked Aqua
"Hey, what's going on? He looks crazy strong" Said a confused Kazuma
"And eerie as well" Added Gohan
"I'm one of the devil kings army leaders, who moved to a nearby castle recently.." Said the knight
"That's dullahan?" Asked darkness
The knight started to shake, "Day after day after day! Who's the screws loose imbecile who keeps firing explosion magic at my castle every single day?! " Said an angry dullahan, as an eye started to shine red from within the head piece on his hand, His voice cracked from anger, As the horse stood up, as if responding to its master's emotion, while lighting struck down from behind him
'One of the devil kings top leaders, was utterly enraged with us' Thought Kazuma
"Explosion magic?" One of the adventurers said
"Who comes to mind who can use explosion magic? " Thought another
"If we're talking explosion magic.." another said, while the whole crowd turned to megumin
Megumin gasped as she turned her head towards another magician, Turns out the crowd was looking at another witch, and not megumin
The other magician also gasped "Huh? M-Me? Why are you guys looking at me? I can't use explosion magic, I'm still a novice! Please, believe me, I didn't do it! " Said the magician
Kazuma turned his head away with a whistle, while megumin was shaking as her face started to sweat
"I don't wanna die! I have little brothers to take care of" She continued, as Kazuma face palmed, Gohan looked embarrassed 'Here we are, blaming another person, knowing full well we are the culprits' thought Gohan as he face palmed as well
Megumin looked like she made a decision, as she started to move forward
"Megumin?" asked darkness, Megumin continued to walk forward until she stopped in front of dullahan
"So it was you..." Said dullahan, as he raised his hand up in rage " You are the screws loose imbecile who fired explosion magic at my castle every single day?!" he continued, "If you're picking a fight with awareness I'm one of the devil kings top leaders, Just attack my castle fair and square! If you don't have the nerve, then stay in the city, trembling in fear! " Said an even angrier dullahan
"Tell me, Why the underhanded harassment? Just because we left this city alone since there's nothing but small fry here, don't get cocky and make my castle go boom boom boom boom every single day! Are you crazy, you wench?! " Pointed dullahan to megumin, Gohan and Kazuma cringed, it's like he's a grown kid throwing a temper tantrum
"My name is megumin! I'm an arch wizard who commands explosion magic! " said megumin
Silence fell in the air, "What's megumin supposed to be? are you making a fool out of me?" Said dullahan
"No-no! I am a crimson demon, the greatest magician in the city! Firing explosion magic at you continuously, had been a strategy to lure you, A leader of the devil king's army, out here, And you fell for it, you came to this city alone, seems you're out of luck" Stated megumin, trying to look smug
"Hey, when did this become a strategy" whispered Kazuma to Gohan, "I don't know, she's probably trying to throw him off guard" replied Gohan
"Not to mention, she just said she's the greatest magician in this city" Said darkness
"Shhh! Do her a favour and be quiet! she hasn't used explosion magic today, and there are a lot of adventurers behind her, so she's acting tough!" said aqua
'That could spell trouble, I should watch out for any random movement he does, in case he tries to hurt her' thought Gohan as he kept an attentive eye at every move
"Very well. It's not as if I came to this city to meddle with you small fry, it's likely I'll continue staying in that castle, so stop throwing explosion magic, Got it? " said dullahan as he started to turn away
" Impossible, if us crimson demons don't use explosion magic once a day, we'll die" Said megumin
"H-hey, I've never heard anything like that before! Don't make up convenient lies! Are you saying you won't stop with the explosion magic, no matter what? " Asked dullahan
"Yes" replied megumin
"I may have become evil, but I was once a knight. I'm not interested in mowing down the weaklings, However..."
"Hehe, You can't act composed for long. Teacher! If you would..." said megumin as she ushered to the crowd
"Hey" Said kazuma as he rubbed his head, " Is she talking about me or you?" Said Gohan as he asked Kazuma
"Guess I have no choice.." Said aqua with a grin. "HAAAH?!" both Gohan and Kazuma said out loud
Aqua started running towards dullahan "I don't care if you're a devil king's army leader, coming here while I was around was bad luck!" She said as she summoned her staff, " I can't accept any decent quests because of you, so, are you ready?" she asked
'Shes attacking him, because of quests? is this girl really that hopeless' thought a deadpanned Gohan
"Oh? What do we have here? An arch priest? Well, I am one of the devil kings top leaders, I'm not so lowly that I'd be purified from a low level priest from this city" stated dullahan matter of factly, " I know, why don't I make that crimson demon girl suffer a bit" Said dullahan
'Hes coming now!' Thought Gohan as he tensed up
Dullahans hand started to emit an aura, "Ill purify you with my prayer" Said aqua
"You're too late" Said dullahan, as he pointed a finger at megumin, "I sentence thee to dea-" He got cut off by a kick to the sternum by Gohan
"What the hell were you trying to do?!" Said an angry Gohan, 'What?! I didn't even notice him move beside me! He's Too fast!' Thought Kazuma with a shocked look
"Gohan!" Said aqua as she ran to him "What did you do that for?"
"He was about to kill megumin with that attack! That aura reeked nothing but death" Said an enraged Gohan
"Kill...Me?" said megumin shocked
"How?" Said dullahan as he got up, "I didn't even see you move! How are you so fast!" He continued
"It doesn't matter! You were about to kill a friend of mine! I won't allow you to do that!" Said Gohan, getting angrier, second by second
'Friend? He thinks of me as a friend? we haven't even known each other for that long' thought megumin to herself
"Lets go, darkness!" Said Kazuma as he ran towards Gohan, with darkness following quick behind.
Kazuma stood besides gohan while darkness stood in front of the rest
"Sacred turn undead" Said aqua, as a light came from her extended hand, While a huge circle appeared below dullahan, The circle then erupted into a massive light pillar
"GYAAAAH" screamed dullahan in pain, after the light died down, he was rolling on the ground before standing up "Are you really beginners? Isn't this city supposed to be a gathering for beginners?" Asked dullahan
"Eep! What do I do Kazuma! It had no effect on him! " Said a terrified aqua, "No, I'm pretty sure it worked, he went 'Gyah' and everything, I know! He's probably surprised that your attack affected him in ways he didn't think possible from you! " Explained Kazuma
"Th-That's not it! Doesn't matter! I don't have to fight you myself!" said dullahan, as he waved his hand over the ground, a black aura started to be emitted, several undead knights coming out of it "Undead knights, Show them a glimpse of hell!" Said dullahan as the knights began to attack... Only to run after aqua
"Why are they targeting me? I'm a goddess! I've been a good girl too!" Said aqua as she ran for her life "I won't be able to save myself, no matter how many turn undead I use!"
"Enough!" Yelled Gohan, then faster than the eye could see, all of the undead knights heads fell off, to aquas disgust and kazumas surprise
"What?" Yelled out dullahan in surprise
"Megumin! Use your explosion at them while they're stunned!" Yelled out Gohan
"Okay, My name is Megumin!
I am a user of the finest magic crimson demons possess, and I command explosion magic.
Behold my power! Explosion!" Chanted megumin, as black energy swirled the undead knights, and then little sparks fell on them, those sparks then imploded into a big explosion, clearing all knights away
"looks like everyone is speechless after my explosion, this is fantatsic" Said megumin as she fell to the ground, exhausted.
"Do you need help?" Said Kazuma
"Yes, please," said megumin
"Now its time for you to go! You'll pay for what you tried to do to megumin!" Said Gohan, as megumin looked at him, 'Does he... really care about me that much?'
"Let me fight too" Said darkness as she rushed in
"As you wish." Replied dullahan, he then proceeded to throw his head to the sky, and an eye appeared behind it
"Darkness, watch out!" Said Gohan, it was too late, as darkness went in for the strike, dullahan dodged, and he was about to hit her in the nape, until Gohan caught it barehanded
"What?! He stopped it with his bare hands!" Said Kazuma
Gohan then added pressure to the blade, which then broke down. "He.. broke my blade!" said dullahan
"Grrrrrr, ILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR TRYING TO HURT MY FRIENDS!" screamed Gohan as he unleashed some of his power, his aura flailing wildly, and the wind stronger than ever before
Gohan then rushed dullahan with unseen speeds, that even the eye couldn't catch, he hit dullahan with attacks so fast, even if dullahan saw coming, was unable to dodge "What is this strength! He's a beast!" Screamed dullahan
"Why is he so mad?" Asked aqua
"Because he was going to hurt darkness badly, and almost killed megumin, even I'm starting to get mad" Said Kazuma as he started to grunt
Every time Gohan hit dullahans armour, the armour dented, leaving dullahan cramped within his armour
"You're done!" said Gohan as he punched him in the gut, which dented the armour even more
"Aqua, Now that he's weakened, try to purify him again" Said Kazuma, looking at dullahan with nothing but anger in his eyes
"o-okay" She said , as her staff came to her, a white hagoromo appeared as she used her staff "Sacred turn undead" She said as a blue circle appeared below dullahan's broken body
The circle then erupted into a light pillar, this time, it erased dullahan away, his body fading into particles, to the wind.
"Phew. Well, now that's all done, let's go back!" Said aqua as she made her staff and the hagoromo disappear again
Gohan remained motionless, he was about to lose another person he cared about, had he acted any slower, megumin would've died, hell, even darkness was going to die from a hit straight to the nape
He kept thinking about it, he became angrier and angrier, until, he felt a hand rest on his shoulder "Let's go back, friend" Said Kazuma who still carried megumin.
Gohan relaxed as he turned around to see a smiling Kazuma, he then smiled back, "Okay, " he replied, as he left with the group
Emergency quest! defeat dullahan : complete!
Next day
'Things have somehow worked out' Thought Kazuma as he was walking to the adventurers guild alone this time, 'But I think, I'll lead a life of leisure, without any danger this time' Thought Kazuma
At the guild
"I've Been waiting for you Kazuma! Listen to this, darkness is being super stingy and telling me I'm too young to have any!" said megumin
"Yo Kazuma!" said Gohan as he walked up, "Oh Gohan, do you not drink?" Asked Kazuma, not seeing a cup on Gohan's hand, "I don't really like alcohol" He simply replied
Before Kazuma could continue, A drunk aqua camee up to him, "Hey! You're late!" Said aqua as she put her elbows on his shoulder, 'Of course, she's already drunk!'
Thought Kazuma in a deadpan
"Oh Kazuma San! You're here!" Said Luna, as the whole party's attention is towards her, "I have a special reward for you and your party" She continued
"A special reward? Is it about that dullahan guy?" Asked Gohan, some spite still in his voice, He hated that guy with passion
"Yes" said Luna, "Who'd thought you'd defeat a leader of the devil king's army, I believed in your radiance from the start" said the guy with a Mohawk
"My radiance?" Said a confused Kazuma, "Radiance that shines upon the gates of hell, there may have been a legend like that" The guy continued
'Legend, huh?' Thought Gohan
"That's right, if you weren't there with that boy, we wouldn't have defeated dullahan" Said an adventurer
The adventurers started to chant Kazuma 'Theyre chanting me?! I didn't even do anything!' He turned to Gohan, to see if he has an issue with that, to his surprise, Gohan was chanting with the adventurers too 'Gohan as well?!' Kazuma was shocked, he never saw someone being okay with their credit stolen away
"Ahem, in recognition of Kazuma and his party's achievement, I award you 300 million Eris" Said Luna
"300 million?!" Screamed aqua
"That's A lot... I think... " Said Gohan, he didn't know the value of the currency, he knew 300 million was a lot, but for all he knows, things could be really expensive here, he's only gone cheap, so he doesn't know
"Group meeting," said Kazuma as he raised his hand
"I have somehing to tell you all" Said Kazuma
"What is it" Said Gohan
"Now that we acquired great wealth, I'm going to live a safe and leisurely life" Said Kazuma
"Wait! (I won't wait) That's a big problem if I can't fight strong guys (That's Not a problem!) " said darkness, with Kazuma replying in the background
"It bothers me too! I'm going to join your party to beat the devil king, and earn the title of the strongest magician! (You won't earn it!)" Said megumin with Kazuma also replying as quickly
"You're Going back to being a shut-in neet?" said aqua
"I'm Not going back to, because I'm not a neet" said Kazuma
"Okay" Simply replied Gohan to Kazumas revelation, "Huh?" responded the whole group, why would he agree with Kazuma? Isn't he also trying to beat the devil king
"I don't mind you living a safe lifestyle, Hell, even I want a safe lifestyle, but because of my circumstances, I always find my self in battle, Its like destiny itself is rejecting the notion of me living a safe lifestyle" said Gohan as he looked at his fist, "My father always told me I have great potential to be a fighter, so strong I eventually beat him in power, so when a monster stronger than my dad shows up, I'm the one to fight it, even though I don't want to fight" Said Gohan in future tense, he said it like that, so they don't ask questions about who showed up and how did I beat him
"So I understand completely, but that doesn't mean I won't go for the devil king" Said Gohan
" That's rough" Said Kazuma, "I know what it feels like, being put in a situation you don't want to be in." Said Kazuma
"Um, Kazuma san" Said Luna, as she handed him a paper
"Its a check, right?" Said an excited aqua
Kazumas face then becomes horrified
"Actually, some of Gohan sans aura destroyed some building and wrecked some markets, it was too powerful, of course defeating a leader of the devil kings army is a big accomplishment, " Said Luna
Gohan tries to skip away, but then Kazuma grabbed his collar, "And where do you think you're going?" Asked Kazuma while his eyes started to tremble in anger
"I won't ask you to pay full price, I just ask that you pay a portion" She continued
"The reward is 300 million, and the compensation is 340 million" said darkness as she put her hand on his shoulder
"Our bloody journey of magic, has only just begun" Said megumin, as Kazuma started to try and choke Gohan, "I'm sorry! I was super mad and my power got loose! It won't happen again, I promise" Said Gohan, trying to escape kazumas surprisingly strong grip, "It better not, now we are in debt 40 million because of you! " Said Kazuma as he finally released Gohan
"Let's go on a quest to kill a profitable, strong enemy tomorrow" Suggested darkness
"Let's Split the debt into equal parts" Suggested Gohan
'Am I going to be stuck in this irrational world, with these hopeless allies? ' Said a sad Kazuma, 'I gently close my eyes, as I firmly decided to kill the devil king, to escape from this good for nothing world' Thought Kazuma as he closed his fist
After the battle with dullahan, extreme winter came
At the guild
We see Gohan, aqua, and Kazuma all sitting down at a tabel, megumin and darkness, no where to be seen
"We need money!" Said Kazuma
"Of course we do, everyone needs money! Obviously! Anyway, You're too unresourceful, you make a goddess like myself sleep in the stables every night! Aren't you ashamed of yourself? If you understand that, then give me more luxury! Spoil me more! " Said aqua, standing up while talking to Kazuma
"Don't you know why we need money?" Said Kazuma as he looked to aqua, eyes seething rage.
"Debt! We need money because of the debt he put us in, every quest reward we get, gets deducted because of the debt he's put us in! " Said Kazuma as he pointed to Gohan
"Hey, I told you I'll make it up to you, I said I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to bust the city like that!"
"This morning... This morning... I woke up in the straw of the stables, to find my eyelashes were frozen! If I continue to sleep there, i'll freeze to death for sure! " Said Kazuma, irritated
"Hey, at least I did effort to beat dullahan" said Gohan, even if he doesn't mind if his credit is stolen, he likes some credibility at the end of the day.
"Effort?.. Effort?! Due to your efforts, we are also in debt, so do it in your own! " Said Kazuma
"Okay, I'm sorry! I'm sorry! " Said Gohan
"Why all the fuss in the morning?" Said darkness

"There's no reason for them to go hunting, winter monsters, when most of their coin pouches are full, I gladly welcome it, personally." Said megumin
"S-Same here, the stronger the enemy, the better" Said a turned on darkness
"You're starting to creep me out" Said Gohan
The group goes to the quest board, in search of a decent quest...
"The reward is well and good, but there are seriously no decent quest
"Kazuma, Kazuma!" said darkness with exciteness in her voice
"I'm Kazuma" replied Kazuma
" What about this one? Kill a pack of white wolves, the reward is a million Eris! " Said darkness, "Just imagining, a pack of white wolves making a mess out of me! " Saying darkness as she started to moan
"Darkness, you need a series of professional help, you're hopeless to the core! I bet you're turned on right now! " Said a disappointed Gohan
"No, I'm not, " Said darkness with embarrassment patched on to her face
"Nope" Said Kazuma
"Kazuma Kazuma!" This time it was megumin
"Yes, I'm Kazuma" Said Kazuma
"What about this one! It's a kill quest for a one shot bear! Now is the time I show it which one of us has the better one shot attack with my explosion! " Said megumin as she waved her staff
"One shot bear sounds scary" Said Gohan, shivering.
"I want nothing to do with a monster with a dangerous sounding name! I bet we'd die if it so much so grazed our necks! " Said Kazuma
Kazuma then leaned in, trying to look for a quest himself, "The mobile fortress 'Destroyer' is approaching, we are hiring scouts to predict which route it'll take" Reads Kazuma from the quest paper, "What is this? What's a destroyer? " Asked Kazuma
" the destroyer is the destroyer" Said darkness "It's a giant fortress that moves at high speeds" said Darkness
"Giant fortress?" Asked Gohan
"It lumbers around, and tramples everything! It's oddly popular with children" explained megumin
"I see.. I don't get it"
"Basically, it destroys everything in its way, sounds pretty dangerous, it needs to be taken care of" explained Gohan.
"let's see... What's this?" Said Kazuma as he searched for a less dangerous quest
"A snow Sprite kill quest? Hey, what's a snow Sprite? " Asked Kazuma, "They don't sound dangerous, but it says the reward is 100,000 Eris each" said Kazuma
"That's hefty money, maybe there's something weird with them?" Hypothesized Gohan
"There are snow sprites in every snowy plain, they say spring comes half a day faster for each one you kill" Explained megumin
"Well, that's illogical" Said Gohan, "They make it sound as if they control the weather" Said Gohan
"Right? All these stories are nonsensical, anyway, continue" Said Kazuma
"They're very weak monsters to kill, but..." Megumin was cut off by aqua
"If we're accepting that quest, ill go get ready" Said aqua
Darkness laughed in a lewd manner
"You're laughing?" Asked Kazuma, "Well, that's an issue" Said Gohan
"Snow sprites, huh?" Said Darkness
'Why is this masochistic crusader, who always like to fight strong guys, looks so happy? ' Thought Kazuma, as he squinted his eyes, sweat dropped all over his face, like he's inspecting Darkness
'Still, Money takes priority' Said Kazuma, as we now cut to a snowy plain with small white things floating
"These are snow sprites?" Said Kazuma, he then turned to aqua, "Can't You do anything about that outfit? You like a stupid kid who's going cicada catching in the winter" Said Kazuma with an insulting manner
"I can catch snow sprites with this net, and bottle them up!" Said aqua as she opened a white box with bottles inside, "I had the idea if we mix them in our drinks, they'll get cold fast, Well? Aren't I smart? " Said aqua
" The only thing that you mentioned that was remotely smart, was the fact that you'd catch them with the net, the rest is not really needed" thought a disappointed Gohan
Kazuma then looked into darkness, "What happened to your armour, darkness?" Asked Kazuma, "Are you going to be okay with that outfit?" Said Kazuma
"I'll be okay, I'm a little cold, but that in itself is..." Said darkness as she started to blush and breathe harder
"THE COLD?!" Said a bamboozled Gohan, as he put his arms on his head, " YOU'RE GETTING TURNED ON FROM THE COLD?!" said Gohan, completely shocked
'I guess a pervert with steamy thoughts, has the temperature to match'
"Speaking of outfits, Are you fine with that, Gohan?" Asked aqua, as Gohan still wore his usual gi
"I have high cold resistance, ill be fine" Said Gohan, but really, he was just using his ki do keep the temperature normal
Kill quest! Kill the snow sprites!
"Number 3, WAIT!!!" said Kazuma as he was running behind a snow Sprite
"This is my fourth one! Kazuma look! I caught a bunch! " Said aqua as she showed a bottle with 3 of snow sprites captured
'If my kill count is too low, I'll kill the ones she caught too" Thought Kazuma, looking at aqua
We see Gohan, jumping around the place like a bouncer, he was hitting the sprites with speeds unseen before, killing them all in one hit, before landing, "That's the tenth one!" He said, "You already killed ten?!" Said Kazuma, as Gohan nodded with a smile
The group then continued to kill more, until megumin spoke up. "Kazuma, can I use my explosion to blow them away?" Said megumin
"Alright! Blow them all away!" Said Kazuma, giving megumin permission
" Alright, By my efflux of deep crimson, topple this white world! Explosion! " Chanted megumin, as a big explosion shot out of the ground, Killing 8 snow sprites, the explosion itself releasing really strong wind, pushing away aqua
Gohan jumped at the right time and caught aqua, "Thanks! " Said aqua
"No problem" Said Gohan with a smile
Once the explosion calmed down, a big hole was shown, while megumin appeared to be fallen, Kazuma then walked towards her, "Hey, are you alright?" Said Kazuma

"Oh! Nice going! it would've been a lot cooler if you weren't buried in the snow though" He continued
'Whats this, killing snow sprites is totally delectable' Thought Kazuma as he smiled like a maniac, 'Why doesn't everybody do this?" Said Kazuma as he was confused
"There it is!" Suddenly screamed Darkness, "Huh?" Yelped out a confused Kazuma, as the snow dust began to pile up, "What's that?" Said a scared Kazuma
'What's this energy? It's doesn't compare to Raditz, but its high compared to others' Thought Gohan 'It seems hollow as well, like its dead or something's
"So exciting" Said Darkness as she readied her sword
Kazuma looked at megumin, 'Shes acting dead..'
"Guys, I have a really bad feeling about this" said Gohan, As he began to sweat, he's more concerned about his teammates than himself
"Kazuma! I'll tell you why people don't accept the snow Sprite quest" Said aqua
"Huh? " Said a confused Kazuma
"You lived in Japan, so I'm sure you at least heard the name in the news and weather forcasts" Said Aqua, Kazuma was confused and scared, he gulped down the spit that was stuck in his throat.
"He's the snow sprites' master, and is said to invoke the winter... That's right. The winter shogun has arrived." said aqua, then the snow dust exploded, revealing a samurai like character
"O-Oh! The winter shogun! One of the specially designated monsters, the country has put a huge bounty on!" Said Darkness
"Huh?!" Said Kazuma
" I'm sure this monster plans to use his position as shogun, to have his way with me! I'll resist him, but he's likely to be way above my capabilities, and I'll be shamed" Said darkness, as she started to blush, and breathe harder
"IS THIS REALLY THE TIME?!" screamed Gohan, wondering if she ever breaks character
"Stupid! Everything in this good for nothing world, the food, the people, the monsters are all absolutely stupid!" Said Kazuma
The winter shogun then drew out his sword, Gohan Tensed, 'Hes way stronger than that dullahan guy, I gotta watch out" Thought Gohan
He then started to... Slide? He went to attack darkness, and as his sword touched hers, Darkness' Sword was shattered into two, "M-My sword!" Said darkness
Kazuma started to tremble, "Sprites pick up the subconscious of the people they encounter and take their form, but the ones strolling around outside of town, are just cheat-users who came from japan" Said aqua
"So this guy appeared because some idiots train of thought associated winter with the winter shogun?!" Said Kazuma pointing at the shogun, "What a pain in the ass!" He screamed
His eyes then darted towards megumin, 'When all of this is over, ill step on that girl who's pretending to be dead all this time' Thought Kazuma
"Guys! He could spell real trouble! Let's get out of here!" Said Gohan
"Wait! The winter shogun is generous, if we are polite, he'll overlook this!" Said aqua, as she began to release the snow sprites from before
"Grrr" Said the shogun, Aqua then took a deep breath "Hahaughhh" She blurted, as she bowed down
"Prostrate! Prostrate yourselves! Everyone bow down and prostrate yourself!" Said aqua "Hurry up! You apologize too Kazuma"
'The former something-or-other who appears to abandon all her pride, Prostrated magnificently, indeed' Thought Kazuma
He then looked to darkness, "Oi, you bow down too!" Said Kazuma
"There may be no one watching, but as a knight, I would never bow down to such a monster!" Said darkness
"I admire your pride darkness, but this is a life or death situation, are you sure you want to be prideful now?" Said Gohan
"Yes" She replied, "Well said." Smiled Gohan, "Me personally, I never bow down to monsters. So I won't bow down"
Kazuma then ran and grabbed darkness' head and brought it down, "You try to go off with monsters willingly all the time! Don't Show your pointless pride now at times like these" Said kazuma
"You too Gohan! No time to act prideful" He said as he looked to gohan
"S-Stop it! You force me to bow down like this, and shove my face to the ground!" Said darkness, then she started to moan, "What a reward! The snow is so cold!" She finished
"Kazuma!" Said aqua, as kazuma looked at her "Your weapon! Hurry and throw down the sword you're holding! " Said aqua
"Kazuma, WATCH OUT!" screamed gohan
Before kazuma can reply, the shogun strikes his head clean off
"Ka...!" Gohan looked horrified, "Kazuma...!" Said darkness
"You..." Said gohan with rage as he looked at the shogun, "HOW DARE YOUUU!" He screamed even louder, His aura unleashed at its full power, The ground began to shake and the sky darkened, "HOW DARE YOU... HOW DARE YOU KILL KAZUMA!" Screamed gohan, as he let out a mighty roar, His aura turning gold and exploding to the sky
"Gohan..." Said aqua
When the light calmed down, aqua raised her head to look at gohan, To see his hair completely blond, a gold aura now surrounds him..
"He's... Transformed?" Said darkness
"Ill make you suffer for what you've done!" Said an angry gohan,
"ROAAARR!" Roared the shogun, As he tried to attack gohan... Only for him to attack nothing "Grrr?!" Blurted a confused shogun, before... "Gughhh.." It spat out spittle, Before looking down and seeing gohan dent his fist in his stomach
" Awesome... He's Too fast for the shogun!" Said darkness
"What is that power? He's a completely different person , a far cry from the happy-go lucky attitude we are used to..." Said a shocked aqua
Gohan then removed his fist, Before jumping forward and kicking the shogun in the nape (The way base goku kicked frieza in the cheek), It was a heavy blow, and a few CRACKS could be heard throughout the snowy plain, he broke the shoguns neck, The shoguns face hit the ground
"Its time I finish you off!" Said gohan, he then grabbed the shoguns leg, and then he started to spin
"What's he doing?" Said Aqua
"Mmmmmmm" Said megumin, "Megumin!" said darkness before she went to carry megumin, once megumin was out of the snow
"What's going on?" She asked
"The winter shogun killed kazuma, and gohan went mad, he transformed and now he's beating the shogun!" Explained aqua with a shocked look
"Killed kazuma?" She asked before she saw kazumas dead body
"That's not important! I can revive kazuma later! Look at gohan! He's preparing something!" Said aqua, as gohan threw the shogun to the sky
"Kaaaaaaa... Meeeee..." Chanted gohan as he cupped his hands, his aura more dense than before
Megumins eye widen "He's gonna use that?" She said, "Use what? " asked darkness, " When he starts chanting, he creates this big blue beam that's extremely devastating, with him being angry, I don't even wanna imagine how bad its going to be" Megumin explained
"A big blue beam?" Said aqua
"Haaaaaa... Meeee..." He then brought his cupped hands towards his hips, and a blue ball started to materialize between his hands, the blue ball began to grow and grow, until it looked like it was going to explode between his fingers, the wind was strong, Very strong, The trees were blowing away, the girls barely held their ground as they grabbed the bigger trees that didn't blow off
"He's going full power..." Said a horrified megumin
"HAAAAAAAAA!" Screamed gohan, he fired his hands toward the shogun, the ball became a beam, and it was a big beam, almost as wide as the adventurers guild
"Wh-what?!" Screamed aqua, completely baffled by this power
"I've never seen an attack the big before" said darkness, who seems to have broken character, she was genuinely scared for the first time
"ROAAAAAAR" Screamed the shogun, before the beam hit him, He was completely vaporized
"He's... gone! That attack is at least twice as big as the one he showed me and kazuma!" Said megumin
When the beam was done, Gohan fell out of his super Saiyan form and fell to the ground, ' I used too much power, I wasn't supposed to release... They're probably confused, I'm gonna have to act dumb, to keep my powers hidden from them, If they know about my powers, it would be a hassle to calm them down' Thought gohan, he already knew they were going to ask a lot of questions, by them, he means kazumas group
"Gohan!" Screamed darkness, as she ran to him with aqua right behind her, while she was carrying megumin, " Are you okay? " She asked
"I'm fine, I'm just exhausted, I used too much energy, and now I'm out" Said gohan, "But... I killed that shogun" He say in a sad voice, "I let kazuma die, even though I was able to stop it"

While the fight with the shogun was happening, gohan was back to the afterlife
'That's right. I was killed by the winter shogun' Thought kazuma
"Satou kazuma-San, Welcome to the afterlife" Said Eris
"I am Eris, the goddess that will lead you into a new path, Your life in this world is over" she said
'This feels familiar, Is this how it was when I met aqua? ' Thought kazuma
"Are you a goddess of this world as well?" Said kazuma
"Yes, Satou kazuma-San, You came all the way from a peaceful japan to this world, only for this to happen to you" Said the goddess
'What's with this goddess? Is she sincerely mourning my death? She's not like that useless goddess ' Thought a confused kazuma
"Brave hero who came from another world.." She said
"Y-Yes!" Replied kazuma
"With my power, I shall have you reincarnated to a peaceful Japan, To an affluent family, And make sure you lead a peaceful life" Said the goddess
"Y-You can do that?" Said kazuma
"If you wish it." She said
'Seriously?!' Thought a happy kazuma
"I-if possible, I'd like above average parameters in charm, wisdom and strength, And id be even happier in a life where a beautiful girl is my childhood friend" Said kazuma
"That's more than what I can-" Said the goddess
"Wow, So wonderful! I thought it was all over, but it feels like I pulled through the skin of my teeth, " said kazuma as he sat back down, "This is the reward for working hard, Right? " Said kazuma "Because my life up to now has been awful!"
"Yes, I've looked on to your life from time to time myself, I believe your life has been filled with adversity" The goddess said
"You said it! I thought that when I reincarnated, id to on a thrilling adventure, like in a game, this is like a misleading promo video, isn't it" Said kazuma
"The useless goddess who came with me as a reincarnation perk, turned out to be an arrogant good for nothing. We recruited allies, but the only ones who turned up was a crazy explosion girl who fell flat every time she used her magic ,And masochistic, perverted crusader who's attacks always missed, And a baby looking 16 year old boy who's power was crazy, but, he ate a lot. I was an adventurer, But I did construction, side jobs, and was forced into cabbage hunting. I was in debt deep enough to sell an organ after beating an enemy boss. " Said kazuma
"Sleeping in the stables didn't help either, it only froze me nearly to death" Said kazuma, "Do you know how it feels to have your eyelashes frozen solid every morning? The previous worlds game balance was beyond terrible if you ask me. " He continued, Dumping all his frustrations out, Until he started tearing up
"H-Huh?" He said as he moved a tear away from his face, " Why?" He asked
"Once you're reborn, may you be blessed with kind encounters once more" The goddess said as she opened her palm, bright orange light showed up
'I see. It appears.. I was unexpectedly fond of that good-for-nothing world, That I thought I hated. I wanted to adventure with these girls and gohan once more. ' Thought kazuma with tears still in his eyes
"Now come back to us, Kazuma!" Said aqua
"Huh?" Was kazumas response, he was dead yet, here's aqua talking to him, "How could you get killed off so easily? It's too soon for you to die!" Continued aqua
"W-What?" Said kazuma, even more confused
"T-This voice... Aqua senpai?! Is it really you?!" Asked Eris
"Hey, Kazuma, Can you hear me? I cast recovery magic on your body, so you can come back to this side now. " Said aqua
"Oh! For real?!" Asked a surprised kazuma
"P-Please wait a minute!" said Eris, "You've been reborn already, so according to the laws of heaven, you can't be revived!" She continued
"Is that true? Aqua! She says, according to the laws of heaven or whatever, I can't be revived since I've been reborn once before!" Said kazuma in a loud voice
"Huh? What goddess is spouting that nonsense? Hey you, Identify yourself!" Said aqua
"Where does a goddess in charge of backwater like this get off talking to me, an elite in charge of Japan, That way?" Said aqua, as Eris began to twitch off of irritation purely,
'Hey, knock it off! The face of the goddess in charge of the backwater is twitching now!' thought kazuma, as his pupils became slit-like
"Um, She's a goddess called 'Eris' ? Said kazuma
"Eris? The overrated Eris who's grown cocky, and even became a unit of currency, Because she's being worshipped a little in the established region in this world?" Said aqua, seemingly a bit angry
"Hey, Kazuma (Yes?) If Eris gives you any more trouble, I'll confiscate her breast pads-" Said aqua as she's cut off by Eris
"i-i understand! (Pads?) an exception! I'll Deem this an exception!" Said Eris, while kazuma was confused with the fact her breasts are padded
"Ill open the gate now! My goodness, aqua San is really as unreasonable as ever" said Eris
"They're padded?!" Asked kazuma, " I don't mind it"
KONOSUBA!
A circle appeared beneath kazuma, " you've now been connected to the living world. This normally never happens, You know..." Said Eris with a disappointed look, Then she looked at kazuma
"This is our little secret, okay?" She said as she winked and put a finger on her mouth, as if shushing him
A blue light, then sucked kazuma in a purple portal
Back at the world of living
"-Zuma! Kazuma! Please wake up!" Said an echoing voice of a girl
"Kazuma!" Said Aqua, Kazumas eyes shot open
" Oh, You're finally awake! Honestly, That girl can be hard headed at times..." Said aqua
"Kazuma!" Cried darkness and megumin as they hugged him, Kazuma blushed at their hugs, 'this is kinda embarrassing' thought kazuma
"Kazuma!" said gohan, as kazumas head shot backwards, To a crying gohan, "Thank goodness, you're back!" Said gohan with a happy smile
'Hes... Crying?' Thought kazuma
"Hey, Kazuma! What're you blushing for, Say something!" said aqua , Kazuma then looked at aqua
"I brought you back to life, y'know! Don't you have something to say? come on! " Said aqua with a smile
'I want to trade this useless goddess, with this cute goddess from earlier' Thought Kazuma
"Oi, come on, Say something! Like words of gratitude, or an apology for how you've treated a high class goddess with such contempt all this time" Said aqua
"Hey, Aqua, Cut it out, He's clearly still not registered he's living fully yet" Said gohan
"Goddess change!" yelled out kazuma
"Fine, you damn neet, Why don't I send you back to Eris, either way?" Said aqua as she started to throw punches at kazuma... Only for darkness to stop it with her palm, " N-Now, now, Calm down, Aqua" Said darkness
"How do you feel? Do you feel strange in any way?" Said megumin to kazuma
"It feels like I'm alright for now" Said kazuma, "That's a relief, You were killed in such a terrible way, after all." Said megumin
"H-huh? How was I killed?" Said kazuma
"You were beheaded by the winter shogun, It was a splendid slice" said aqua
"That's not funny", Said a frowning gohan, as he looked at aqua, "S-sorry"
"How did you guys deal with that winter shogun anyway?" Asked kazuma
"Well, after you were beheaded, Gohan got super angry, and he started to beat down on that winter shogun mercilessly! Before throwing him to the air, and blowing him with a blue beam" Said darkness, as she moaned " He was so rough, I imagine he plans to use his strength to dominate me the same way" Said darkness with blush in her face
"O-Oi! I never planned something like that! That's just your stupid imagination!" Said gohan with a blush on his own, 'Is this woman sane?!' Thought gohan
Winter is the only season in this world, where , despite the food scarcity, only the fittest are allowed to live and remain active
'There aren't any quest, for us beginners to complete easily! But this guy' Thought kazuma as he looked towards gohan, 'He clears them out pretty easily, I'm starting to think the stats on his id aren't his maximum at all!' thought kazuma with a sweat drop
"Okay, retreat" Said kazuma
Kill quest: kill the snow sprites: Complete!
The group got their reward from the quest, which went into the debt they needed to pay, they got about 2 million from the sprites quest, and they used it to pay for the debt gohan got them into.
"Ta-da!" Said aqua as she showed a bottle with a snow Sprite in it " Not only was I prostrating, but I released most of the snow sprites to please the shogun, but I kept one in secret, Before gohan killed that shogun" Said aqua
"Ehehe... Sorry" Said gohan
"Nice going! Give it to me, ill kill it!" Said kazuma
"No! I won't let you kill it, I've already given it a name!" said aqua as she began crying
'Shes protecting that one fiercely'
"Let her be, kazuma" Said darkness
"Oh fine," Said kazuma, he didn't care anymore, aqua brought out the snow Sprite from its hide and smiled at it, "Ill raise it with care, and when summer comes, ill have it make lots of ice! Then we'll open up a snow cone shop! Hey, What does this little one eat?" Said aqua as she looked towards the group
" Do snow sprites even eat anything?" Said megumin
"It looks really soft and fluffy, I bet if you put some sugar on it, it'll actually taste good!" Said darkness
" I won't let you eat it! " said aqua
"I've worked up quite an appetite" Said megumin
"Me too, I'm really hungry after spending so much energy on that attack!" said Gohan
"Alright lets see what we'll order" said aqua
Kazuma appeared to be in distant thought, thinking about that goddess, 'She actually mourned my death, and smiled when I got revived' thought kazuma
"Oi kazuma, you gonna eat or what?" said aqua
Kazuma then saw a lot of food on the table, "How'd you guys order that?" Said kazuma
"When you're a magician like me, you learn to sacrifice" said megumin
"Man, this food is great!" Said gohan as he was inhaling food
'I'll be stuck with these weirdos forever, aren't I?' Thought kazuma
