These Are My People

"Okay son…I've decided to tell you the truth." Nolan said to his son as he leaned forward with his blood soaked hand up. "It's time you know where I really come from." he began.

"I am from the planet Viltrum….that was always true, but it's not the planet that I've told you about. Viltrum was a planet that had achieved a perfect global society….but it didn't happen over night." he said with a twinge of hesitation in his voice. "It was decided that in order for our people to achieve intergalactic dominance, we needed to remove the week from our planet. It was a long, and messy process." he said, as images of slaughter filled his mind. "When the dust had settled, our population had been cut in half, but what arose from the ashes of our old world was a fierce, unbeatable warrior race."

"Once our battle-scarred planet had been repaired, we set our sights outward. It was preposed that we bring our new world order to other worlds." he explained. "Our goal was to establish and expand a planetary empire. It was agreed upon unanimously."

"Shortly after the high council approved the idea, the world conquering committee was formed. For the longest time we would dedicate entire teams to securing new planets, they would announce their takeover of the species and stay behind to monitor the planet. The races who cooperated were given access to our technology which culd be used to enhance their ways of life under our rule. Races who resisted were not looked upon favorably and where immediately dealt with."

"With how successful we were, we began to enlist the aid of races we conquered to continue to expand our empire. Though they were not quiet as efficient as our own forces, it did help with our expansion efforts. By the time I was born, Viltrum was quickly becoming the first great empires of the galaxy, and with the success of the conquest committee, I soon enlisted myself. It took three years of hard work, but I finally was allowed onto the front lines of our ever growing empire."

Nolan sighed as he recalled the time in his youth, "It was messy work, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. It wasn't long before I was leading my own division. It didn't matter if it took hundreds of hours or years, no civilization in our sight went unconquered."

"However, we soon ran into a problem, as our empire grew our forces stretched thin, our expansion efforts stopped. We needed a more efficient way of conquering worlds. Our highest officials decided that our most trusted officers would be given planets to survey and weaken over time. I was one of those lucky few."

"Upon my arrival to Earth, I was taken aback by how volatile the environment was. At first I hated it, the nest of individuality that it was. We never predicted that humans on Earth would evolve in such a way that could grant them such a wide range of powers. And whenever I turned around, I saw someone using their powers for personal gain, while most dedicated their powers to the betterment of their own society. An admirable quality that unfortunately humans seem to restrict themselves by laws prohibiting certain individuals to advance due to the nature of their powers." he said patronizingly.

"And when I met your mother, I came to realize that the only way to enjoy living here was to live as a human among them. It wasn't easy at first, some concepts like menial labor being required to earn a living was a completely alien concept to me. But over time I became more and more comfortable living among the planet's inhabitants. It was something that concerned me a great deal…..and then everything changed when you came along. I had no choice but to raise you as a human, I thought you could provide a unique perspective to the world conquering committee. Having grown up in this alien environment. And honestly….I was happy with my new life." he admitted before taking a breath.

"But I knew it couldn't last. When you finally developed your powers, I knew I couldn't wait much longer. So I began my first step in weaking Earth's defenses, I targeted the top ranked heroes of Earth and began eliminating them one by one. At first I thought to eliminate parts of the Safety Commission to further weaken the planet, but after I destroyed the American branch of the organization I saw the chaos that emerged from it, they're still recovering from it now. I realized that I needed to focus on the heroes, and that they might be reasoned with to accept our rule."

Nolan looked up to his son from his thoughts, "And now it's time for you to join me, and help me prepare Earth for the takeover of the Viltrumite Empire."

Mako was stunned speechless, absorbing all the information that his father had laid out before him, not only was his father lying to him and his mother his entire life, not only did he kill all those people at the Safety Commission and apparently a bunch of heroes, but he was part of some…some…space empire?!

"You….you can't be….you…." Mako whimpered out as tears leaked from his eyes, sliding down his face. "This doesn't make any sense! You-you love me! You love mom! I know you do!" he pleaded as he pointed at his father, who in turn seemed taken aback by the denial. He glanced past his dad and saw Izuku, his oldest and best friend, look just as devastated as he was, Bakugo seemed to be fairing little better, staring at Mako's father in utter disbelief.

Mako shook his head, "No! This-someone is threating you! Or mom! I mean-" he said, trying to find a reason why his dad would say all these horrible things.

"Stop." Nolan said firmly, "Listen to me. Do you have any idea how long we live? The older we get, the slower we age, Viltrumite DNA is pure that you yourself are nearly full blooded. It's why you don't have a quirk, if I had an offspring with any species with similar evolution to myself they would be similar as well." he explained.

Mako felt the hole that was forming inside his stomach grow at the way his dad talked about his genetics, "You can't live among these frail things, you'll live for THOUSANDS of years." Mako felt a numb feeling take over him. "Everyone you know, will be long dead, and you won't even look thirty." Nolan said, casting a look over his shoulder to where Izuku was. The green haired teen seemed to be just as shocked by the information of his friend's nigh immortality, Nolan tuned back and saw his son still have tears run down his face.

"I'm sorry son, I know this must be confusing, but you don't belong here. This world is beneath us, these people are beneath us. This isn't your world, it's theirs."

"And so you'll just enslave us?!" Nolan frowned as he turned his head to the side, All Might still stood, holding his bloody side with a defiant look in his eyes. "You'll cull those who you deem to be weak like on your own planet?" he asked.

"No. Earth, while flawed, has it's value. There is nowhere else in the known galaxy where so many of the planet inhabitants wield such a verity of powers. You all have great value to the empire." he said as he looked over at the students. Kirishima stiffening up as his eyes passed over him, Nolan turned back to his son. "All we need to do, is show these people the way son." he said before reaching his hand out to his son's shoulder.

Mako shook his head, "But-but mom-:" he began.

"I do care about your mother Mako but…she's…well…..she's more like a pet."

SLAP!

"A PET?!" Mako hissed out as he slapped his father's hand off him, the numb feeling shocked out of him.

Nolan was taken aback by the outburst, "Mako, calm down."

Mako sneered, "NO! I'm not going to CALM DOWN! This is nuts! What did you think was going to happen? That I'm going to enslave my friends for a bunch of aliens that I've never met?! This is my life!" he said, his hands pressing against his chest, "These are my people!" he said, extending them out on either side.

Nolan gave his son a even look, "We have a responsibility to our people-"

"I don't give a damn about Viltrum! I don't care if I live a million years! This is my home, and I won't let you destroy it!" he yelled at his father with a spiteful finger pointing at him.

His father frowned, "Son you don't know what your saying. I can't LET you interfere."

Silence hung in the air between the father and son, the threat clear as day while Mako wiped his tears away on his sleeve before looking back at his father with a determined glare, "I know exactly what I'm saying." he replied as his hands clenched into fists.

Nolan's hands also clenched, a resigned look crossing his face, "So be it."

"Young Mako! No! Get-"

WHAKOOOM!

Before All Might could even finish, Nolan closed the distance between him and his son and punched him directly in the face, sending him flying straight back through the shell of the dome and flying back through the city! Mako slammed through building after building, each impact slowing him until he crashed out the side and onto the street, landing atop a car which stopped from the impact.

Mako winced as he picked himself up from the hood, blood dripping out of his nose before looking at the driver and her apparent husband inside, "Go! Get out of here!" he said, the driver putting the car in reverse and driving back, Mako rolling off the hood and stopping himself in air before flying up above the buildings. Shit! Where even am I? he asked himself as he looked around, he didn't think he was even in the same ward as the USJ now!

Before he could get his bearings however, he saw a red blip in the distance, and suddenly a right hook stuck him through the air towards one of the taller buildings. Mako crashed through the entire floor of the structure and crashing into the side of another building, the impact shattering the glass and stone caving in around the teen's impact and falling down to the people on the streets below.

Mako could hear the screaming below and around him from the building, across the easy the upper portion of the building he smashed through began to slide out of position. Mako's eyes widened under his mask, "NO!" he yelled before taking off from the crater and zooming over to the building's top as it began to tip over. Bracing himself against the wall, Mako strained himself as he tried to push the section of the office building back into position.

Inside he could see people screaming in fear and panicking, trying to get out and to safety. I-I-I don't know what to do! I can't just hold this here! he thought in a panic before something metal wrapped around the part of the wall beside him, "What the-"

"Don't worry! I'm here to help! Just keep it there for a few more seconds!" Mako turned his head back and breathed his first breath of relief when he saw a hero using some sort of control over metal to secure the building in place. The metal bars prushed through the wall and braced against the lower section of the building, securing it in place. "Aright kid you're good!" he asked.

Before Nolan flew behind him and grabbed the back of his head and crushing it, "No!" Mako cried out in horror as the people who where watching through the glass screamed. Nolan looked at his son with disappointment, "You killed him!" he growled out before zooming forward and uppercutting his father, his father barely moving back from the attack.

Mako followed up with another punch that his father caught at the wrist, "Now or in fifty years? What's the difference Mako?" he asked his son coldly.

Mako swung his foot up into his dad's head, "He would have had a life!" he shouted as he flew back, Nolan flew after him with his fist reeled back and punching Mako down through the building he had just stopped, hitting each floor with a shockwave that destabilized each floor which caved in on itself until the entire building collapsed in on itself.

Beneath the rubble, Mako grunted in exertion as he pushed up against the stone and mortar atop of him and lifted it up off himself. the inner elbow of his costume was torn with a section of the back missing as well, the edges around his mask frayed with one of his lenses missing. "Oh…..oh my god….." he whimpered out upon seeing his surroundings, sandwiched and impaled on the rubble around him where dozens of bodies.

He was unable to stop the bile reaching the back of his throat, he wretched froward and vomited at the sight. Oh god….these….these people…. he thought, wiping his mouth dry as a shadow loomed over him. He looked up in in grief, "H-How could you…."

"That was your fault. Your own stubbornness against the inevitable killed these people Mako." he said, gesturing with his bloodied hand to the destroyed building around them, the concrete stained with blood that leaked from the cracks from those who had been crushed. "Listen to what I'm saying son, these people are not our own! If one punch from us can do this? If hundreds can loose their lives? Thousands even? How aren't they beneath us?" he asked his son.

Mako shook his head, "How can you…..how can you even say these things?! What about mom?!" he asked.

Nolan shook his head, "Your mother means nothing to me." he said coldly.

The fire re0-ignited in his son's eyes, "LAIR!" he declared before taking forth and punching his father back through the air. Mako continued the assault, strike after strike crossing his father's head before driving his fist as hard as he could into his dad's gut, making Nolan briefly keel forward before kneeing his son in the chin.

"No! For the first time in you're life!? I'm telling you the truth!" he declared as he grabbed his son by the ankle and threw him across the sky and flew after him.

Izuku was shell shocked, he had known Mr. Metuki for most of his life, he was a friend of the family. He and Mako practically were family! It wasn't until All Might came over and started urging him towards the entrance of the USJ did he finally snap out of his stupor. I…..I didn't do anything…. he thought as they reached the top of the staircase with All Might carrying Aizawa in his arms.

"Deku!" he looked up to see Uraraka and the others rush over to him, "Deku what-what happened?! We-we saw that guy come down and he…he…." Uraraka swallowed a she recalled seeing all that….red. She shook her head and realized the was dead silent, his eyes almost lost in a thousand yard stare. "Deku?" she asked worriedly.

"Young Midoriya is….reeling, Uraraka." All Might answered. "It's going to be ok students." he assured them all upon seeing their worried expressions. Suddenly, the metal doors to the facility opened. The students were immediately put on edge until the doors opened fully and revealed not only the rest of the U.A. teachers, but GDA troopers with Iida and Donald among the staff.

"It's ok everyone, these men will get you to safety while we secure the facility." Principal Nezu told the students from Midnight's shoulder. One of the troopers holstered his weapon and gestured for the students to follow him outside, "Anyone who is wounded stay here, we'll have transport to get you medical attention." he added.

Iida rushed over to Izuku and Uraraka, "Midoriya! Uraraka! Thank goodness your both alright! Mr. Donald from the Global Defense Agency said that All Might was on his way but…." he trailed off upon seeing Izuku's expression.

"Midoriya? What's-where's Mako?" he asked.

"Fighting his dad." Uraraka and Iida turned to Kirishima who looked less pale then before, "His dad is here to take over the planet, he wanted Mako to join him but he said no and then…." he turned to the large whole in the USJ that was made when Omni Man attacked his son. Kirishima's hands ran through his hair, "This-! This is so messed up!" he exclaimed.

"Kirishima." All Might said, making the teen stop, "I understand you're shocked by his father's actions. But I promise you that everything is being done to ensure Mako's safety." he assured as Donald approached him. He looked down to Aizawa in his arms. The homeroom teacher's head was bloody and bruised but he was still alive, "He needs Medical attention, along with Thirteen." he said, looking at the rescue hero who had her quirk used against her by the warping villain to pull apart the back of her suit. He looked down at Deku, "As well as Young Midoriya, his hand was broken." he added.

Donald nodded and held a hand up to his earpiece, "Sir? I need a portal up to the medical wing where Recovery Girl is waiting." he said. A second later, a shimmering doorway appeared, shocking Iida and Uraraka. Donald approached them and put his hands on their shoulders, "You're friend will be all right. We're just moving him to a safe location to be treated, the rest of you will be moved back to U.A. and he'll join you there after being treated." he explained.

Uraraka and Iida looked at each other before looking at Izuku who seemed to be slowly regaining his sense of his surroundings, "I…" he finally said before looking at his friends, "I'll be fine." he assured them.

Uraraka nodded, "Ok…..We'll see you later Deku." she said with concern before All Might put a hand on his shoulder and led him into the shimmering doorway.

Melissa was having a productive day, she had finished her project's projected progress for the day and had decided to celebrate with a long lunch in her lab. However that happiness ended when she got a news alert about her Uncle Might in Japan, fighting Omni Man. She had been glued to the screen in her lab since the fight broke out, she followed the battle across a ward in Japan all the way to facility for U.A. where one of the news copters had captured Nolan talking to his son about something that the microphones where unable to pick up. But she saw the way Mako shed tears, and it made her chest ache.

And when Omni Man struck his son, she felt a mixture of sorrow, anger, and fear take hold of her. "Melissa." her head snapped to the door of her lab where her father stood in the doorway, a disturbed expression on his face that switched to sadness when he saw what she was watching. "So you know…" he said sadly as he entered.

"Papa what….what's going on?" she asked. Mako's dad was a good friend to David Shield, she had known him! She talked to him, he was always nice and jovial and…..

"I don't know honey….." he admitted as they both turned to the screen, the helicopter footage was trying to keep up but Nola had apparently thrown Mako far out of their range and couldn't keep up.

That was when everything shook, everything in the room jumping. "What was that?!" David exclaimed as his daughter changed the channel to the local news. Melissa dropped the remote when a news helicopter showed a large crater on the other side of I-Island with Mako inside it, "Oh good lord."

"You aren't listening Mako! My time here has been a speck in the span of my life. You don't even know me son." his father said coldly to his son across the TV as Mako got up, blood dripping off his chin from his nose with his mouth caked with it.

He shook his head, "But….you've changed…" he breathed out, "Maybe, MAYBE, you where a cold hard Vilturmite when you came here, but I've seen you risk your life to save people a hundred times over! You've changed! You were happy!" he retorted.

Nolan's hands sat on his hips, "For a time, yes. I was, but I am loyal to Viltrum, our people." he raised his arms out, "Not this pathetic excuse for a civilization." he said looking around, his gaze stopping when he saw the news helicopter. He turned away an floated over to a overturned street lamp.

Mako saw what he was doing and leapt over, "NO! Stop! I need to save-" he began before his father backhanded him with a fist that splattered blood from a new wound on his head. Melissa was glad she was already siting because she couldn't feel her legs at this point.

Nolan grabbed the street light and threw it, right towards the camera! "Oh my god!" the reporter exclaimed before the post struck the copper.

As it spun out of control from the impact and damage it sustained, Mako lifted his head up, with his father's back to him. He flew over and grabbed his father's cape, "What the-" Nolan began before Mako turned and used his momentum to throw his father over his shoulder, and fling him away before flying after the aircraft.

Thank you Izuku! he thought, recalling the move from when he saw his friend do that to Bakugo. As the helicopter fell, Mako flew in and grabbed it by the landing strut, "It's ok! I got you!" he said as he balanced out the machine and gently as he could, set it down on the ground. The pilot opened the door and stumbled out with the cameraman and reporter as well.

"I-I don't even-th-thank you." the reporter said on the tv as Melissa let out a breath upon seeing Mako, blood staining the upper right part of his mask.

"Look just get out of here! I don't know when he'll-" Mako began before Nolan landed behind him. Mako pivoted and swung his fist, his father blocked it and kicked his son back through the people he just saved, the camera tumbling in front of Mako who was covered in the blood of the people he had just saved.

"N-N-No…" Melissa whispered as her father wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug.

The camera was still broadcasting as Mako sat up and looked down at himself in horror, tears once again falling down his face while his father floated behind him. "Mako, I will burn this planet to the ground, if I need to spend a minute living among these animals as one of their own." he threatened. Mako's hands clenched in fury in front of him. Melissa watched as he turned back and threw a punch with what she could only assume was everything Mako had into his father's face.

"YOU BASTARD!" Mako exclaimed.

Nolan wasn't even bruised, "Please." he dismissed before returning with a strike of his own that sent Mako flying, which he soon flew after. Melissa covered her mouth as tears spilled from her eyes.

Nolan landed blow after blow to his son as he flew after him at full speed, each punch knocking him further away which he easily caught up to. By now they where in the United States, past California and into the Rocky Mountains. Catching up to his son once again, the next strike was angled downward, sending Mako careening down into the side of a mountain, the seismic force causing an avalanche of snow to pass over his son which Nolan watches from above.

He waited until the snow finally stopped shifting and was at a rest before flying down and saw a patch of red in the snow, his son barely covered by the snow as he reached down and hoisted him up by his arm. Blood poled out from his son's swollen and beaten face, "Had enough yet?" he asked.

Mako's one eye opened, the other one swollen shut, "I….I'll stop…you." he defiantly replied, making Nolan sneer.

"I'm ready when you are!" he said before punching him into another mountain, Mako groaned in pain as he turned over onto his back, Nolan landing at his feet and looking down upon his son. "You're doing this all for nothing! We'll share our technology with them! We'll bring them into a new age and up to speed with the rest of the universe! Being part of the empire will make earth better then it once was!" he explained further.

Mako looked up at him before siting up, "And what….ngh….what if they resist?" he asked as blood dripped down onto his suit.

Nolan's brow creased, "Then we deal with them! But that's why we're here! To keep them from resisting! So they can be a part of something bigger, or die!" he stated as his son finally stood back up onto his feet.

Taking a second to breath, he locked eyes with his father before speaking, "I will…not….let you….enslave these people…..it's not right dad."

WHAM!

Nolan's fist struck, splattering more of Mako's blood on the ground as anger took over Nolan, "WHY!? WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME DO THIS? WHAT DOES THIS WORLD EVEN HAVE TO OFFER YOU?!" he yelled in frustration before punching down onto his son. Pinning his son down with a knee to his chest, he beat him in the face again. "Fine! What's seventeen more years?!" WHAM! "I Can always start again!" WHAM! "Have another offspring!" he declared before punching down again, again, and again, each hit splattering more of his son's blood over himself.

Mako's head whipped side to side with each blow, his nose was broken, his chin split open, and he felt something fly out of his mouth. Where those my teeth? he asked himself as another fist collided with him, making his hands bounce from the impact. Mako lost count of how many times his father's fist beat into his face, but when it stopped and he heard his father breathing heavily, he tried to move.

But he couldn't, nothing worked, his hands could only tremble, his vision was barely a single eye that was barely open, his other was swollen shut. He could feel something spurt past his lips with every ragged breath he took, he was pretty sure it was blood. I….I can't….I can't do anything he's just…..he's too strong… he thought. He's going….he's going to kill me…oh god then everyone else…and it's all my fault. he thought mournfully. I….I've seen it….he's a good…..he's just…..he was happy.

Nolan looked down at his son in utter bafflement, "FOR GOD'S SKAKE,THINK MAKO, THINK!" he said, tapping the sides of his head with his bloody fingers, "You'll outlive every fragile, insignificant being on this planet! You'll live to see the end of this civilization! You'll watch as the world crumbles to dust and blows away! EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING YOU KNOW WILL BE GONE!" he exclaimed in utter disbelief at his son's actions.

"WHAT WILL YOU HAVE AFER FIVE HUNDRED YEARS?!" his father demanded.

Mako looked up at his father, "….you dad….I'd still….have you….." he choked out.

Nolan stopped, his firm expression he's held the entire fight with his son softening. His fists unclenched and he found himself in disbelief, Mako should hate him. After everything he's said, all that he's done, he should hate him! How could he still have…..have….

"…dad?"

Nolan felt his chest tighten and his eyes begin to water, he squeezed them shut, trying to swallow the feeling boiling to the surface. The feeling of…..

"…..dad?"

Nolan looked down at his hands, covered in the blood of his son…..his boy.

Nolan shot up into the air, his arms reaching out in front of him as he flew through the atmosphere so fast that the blood on his hands and costume burned away by the time he reached space. The only liquid that came off him were his tears.

Back on Earth, Mako's eye looked around in confusion, Wait….where…..did….dad….go… he thought as he finally let his consciousness slip away and gave into his exhaustion. Passing out in a crater of his own blood, just as a shimmering doorway opened and a team of paramedics filed out.

Izuku felt tired after Recovery Girl used her quirk to heal his broken finger, Aizawa and Thirteen had been taken off for surgery somewhere else in the facility while he was allowed to stay with All Might while she tended to him. The skeletal form of the symbol of peace anxiously sat off the side of his bed, "I need to get back out there Recovery Girl, Nolan could be-" he began before the medical hero gave him a firm look.

"Toshinori I've told you, you need to give your body time to recover. You've already pushed yourself too much today." She reprimanded before looking over at Izuku, "And you dear, how's your hand?" she asked.

Izuku looked down and frowned, "It's fine…" he said quietly.

All Might's lips pursed together at the sight of his pupil, I couldn't stop Nolan. And now his son is in the fight of his life against his own father…I won't fail you Young Mako, as soon as I'm able I'll- he began to think before the door opened, nearly scaring the hero into his muscular form behind the curtain. Peeking out, he let out a breath when he saw it was Cecil, "Cecil, what's the situation."

Izuku stood up straight when he saw All Might address him in his skeletal form, "A-A-All Might!" he sputtered out before clamping his hands over his mouth.

Cecil looked over at him, "Relax kid, I already know about his condition. And that he picked you to be his successor." he said, causing the green haired boy's eyes to buldge out. He walked over and lifted his hand, "Cecil Steadmen, director of the GDA." he introduced.

Izuku's jaw dropped and he bowed his head, "I-I-It's an honor to meet you sir!" he said respectfully.

Cecil snorted. "Ok then." he said acceptingly before turning to All Might, "We got good news and bad news. Mako just got in, he's got more broken bones then anyone in the facility has ever had, multiple concussions, lacerations, and cuts, and he's lost a lot of blood." he said. Izuku fell back onto the bed, relief washing over him like a damn inside him had been burst apart.

"And what's the good news?" All Might asked.

Cecil sighed, "That was the good news. Nolan…..well, he left."

The three blinked, "L-Left? What do you mean he left?!" All Might barked in confusion.

"I mean that Mako seemed to hit a nerve with him, and he took off into deep space afterwards, we're tracking him with our long range satellites but he hasn't changed trajectory yet. He's out of the solar system now." he explained. Izuku looked at the director in disbelief, after everything Nolan had said? With how lowly he thought of humanity, to just leave Earth was….it didn't make sense.

"That sounds like good news to me Cecil." All Might said auspiciously.

Cecil's brow creased, "No it's not, if we got Nolan we could have learned more about his people. How many numbers there are, where their home planet it, how can we defend ourselves against them." he explained.

All Might frowned, "He would never give any of that up willingly Cecil. You and I both know that." he said firmly, catching the undertone of what Cecil was prepared to do in order to get such information.

"Um….sir?" Cecil turned to Izuku, "Will Mako…will he be ok?" he asked.

The director let out a sigh, "Hopefully, it doesn't look like any vital organs were damaged. He's in surgery right now. When he recovers we'll release him, put a protective detail on him and his mother…..we just finished briefing her on….on everything." he said sadly. Izuku felt like he had been punched in the gut, whatever he felt must have been a pale imitation of how Kali was reacting to all of this. "Anyway, the kid is free to go. The local police are taking over the roundup of remaining villains and are taking statements from the other students." he explained.

Before he could open a portal to the school however, Izuku spoke up, "Um…..sir…..could I speak to Ms. Metuki? I…..I want to make sure she…" he trailed off. There was no way she could be ok after all of this, but Cecil understood and nodded before tilting his head to the door, signaling Izuku to follow him.

Bidding All Might and Recovery Girl farewell, he followed after Cecil through the facility down a few hallways. Upon opening the door to a waiting room area, Izuku saw Kali sitting in a seat near the doors to the operating room, fresh blood drops on the white floor which made a chill go up his spine. Swallowing he fear he spoke, "M-MS. Kali?" Kali looked up from her lap, her eyes red and widen.

"Izuku? Honey what-what are you doing here?" she asked as he walked up to him.

Izuku held up his bandaged hand, "I got hurt during the villain attack and was taken here…..Mr. Steadman told me you where here and…..I wanted to check on you." he explained sadly.

Kali felt the air leave her lungs, "Oh sweetie…." she said before pulling him into a hug which he returned, "I am….I am so sorry you had to see any of this." she apologized.

Izuku shook his head against her shoulder, "It's fine, it's not your fault. Or Mako's!" he suddenly added, looking up at her, "Please tell him that…..I don't know when I'll see him." he explained. The mother smiling sweetly at in despite the tearstains on her face and nodded, Cecil opened up a doorway beside him, Izuku gave her a small supportive smile before walking through it to the front entrance of his school.

Cecil turned back to Kali, who looked at the door to the operating room, "He's a strong kid Kali. He'll be fine…but there's some things we need to discuss eventually-"

"No." Kali said suddenly before taking a shaky breath an turning to him, "We can talk about them now Cecil."

The man gave her a saddened look, "Kali-"

"Cecil my hus…the man I've known for twenty years just revealed that he's a monster. He nearly killed our…..nearly killed my son. I can't just keep thinking of that Cecil, I need something to work on, something else to think about so whatever it is it can't possibly be worse then that." she said sternly as her back straightened up.

The director was quiet for a moment before nodding, "Alright." he said before gesturing to the seats, sitting down beside her, "The news clearly picked up the story, and it's circulating around the world right now along with footage of what Nolan's done." he began. Kali nodded, "However in the footage, Nolan referred to Mako by name, and as 'Son'." he added, making her eyes widen. Cecil raised his hand, "Don't be too alarmed, I have people working on an official statement that the Safety Commissions around the world will spread. Mako was defending people, and there's footage to support this but…"

"There'll be deniers." Kali realized. She had seen cases like this before, due to how high regard pro heroes are held, criticism can be extremely picky. And when scandals happen, names could be stained for decades. And being the son of Omni Man, regardless of what he was trying to do, would never go away.

Cecil nodded, "Assuming so. So to be safe we're going to put a security detail in your building, you shouldn't even notice they're their unless something happens." he explained. "As for Mako, this will obviously effect him more since he's directly linked. There shouldn't be any charges against him for using his powers, these are extremely extenuating circumstances, and shouldn't impact his attendance to U.A." he added as well.

Kali took a deep breath, "But if people wanted to, they could hold us liable for what happened, they could try and appeal to lawmakers-" she began.

"I won't let that happen." Cecil said firmly, "You and Mako won't be held accountable for what Nolan has done."

Kali looked at the director with a calculating look, "Cecil…..why are you doing this?"

The man looked down in disappointment, "Nolan was hiding this under my nose for years…..and I never saw it coming. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't do everything I could to try and make it right." he explained, turning his head to her.

Izuku walked the halls of U.A. with a heavy heart, the school was out of lockdown since the villains had been taken care of and he was informed that the police had contacted his mother who was probably anxiously waiting for him at home. But he still needed to get his bag from the classroom. As soon as he opened the door however, it was a repeat of him after the team exercise, "Midoriya!"

"Deku do you know about Mako?"

"What's going on?!"

"Is he ok?"

he was bombarded with questions from his classmates until Iida stepped between him and them, "Everyone! Calm down, I'm sure Midoriya knows about as much as we do about the situation." he said to the class as a whole, calming everyone down before turning to Izuku, "First off, are your injuries healed Midoriya?" he asked with concern.

He nodded and showed his bandaged hand, "Yeah, and…..well I know that Mr…I know that Omni Man left." he said, causing the class to let out a collective gasp at the information. "I overheard some of the people talking, and one of them told me that Mako is…he's in rough shape, but he should be ok." he said on a more positive note. A number of students visibly relaxed at the news, Izuku noticed Shoto especially seemed to let out a deep breath he had held to himself.

"Oh man that's good to hear." Kirishima breathed out with a relieved smile, "Any idea when he'll be back?" he asked.

Izuku shook his head, "He was in surgery when I left." he answered, making a sense of unease pass over the entire class. To be hurt so badly that he needed surgery? By his own father no less?

However, Kaminari spoke up, "Um…ok, I hate to be the guy to ask but…..Midoriya….do you think we can trust Mako?" he asked, this causing a number of people to turn to him in disbelief. He raised up his hands, "Look after the day we all just had I got to know alright?!"

"Y-Yeah." Mineta added unsurely, "I mean I know he stuck up to his dad and all but…..it's still his dad." he reasoned, surprising the others in the class.

Kirishima shook his head, "No way! Dude you guys didn't hear what his dad was saying! The way he talked, what he told his own kid!?" he replied, making the two flinch before Mina set a hand on his shoulder. He turned to her and saw the conflict in her dark eyes, taking him aback.

"I like Mako, he's a good guy…..but his dad was pro and he did all of these horrible things…" she turned to Izuku, "Midori? What do you think?"

Izuku was taken aback, he had never heard anyone question Mako before as a person. And while he was still reeling from what his father did, Izuku knew Mako. "I trust Mako….I trust him with my life." he said with determination that he hadn't ever spoken with before. Kaminari looked down in shame, "But….I do understand why you'd ask that." he said, the electric user looking at him relief as there were no hard feelings.

Tokoyami crossed his arms, "Still, one has to wonder…how will Mako handle all of this himself? It's shocking for us but….it's his own father." he said darkly.

Izuku looked down, not meeting anyone's eyes as he swallowed, he didn't even want to imagine how hurt Mako was by all of this. He knew ho much he looked up to his father, he was part of the reason he became a hero in the first place. He even apparently was the one who helped Mako come up with a hero name for himself. To have your idol turn out to be a villain….maybe even worse than a villain? He's been there for me for years…..it's time I was there for him. he thought with determination.

Shigaraki had a…..very interesting day. He had set out with a legion of new recruits for his League of Villains and the Nomu which his master had provided for him with the intention to kill All Might, the symbol of peace. And while that plan had not at all worked out, there was no way he could have predicted how well things would unfold afterwords. On every news station around the world, the global hero Omni Man was revealed not only to be responsible for the deaths of heroes across the world, but was also here to take over humanity!

The hideout they had, a bar near Kamino Ward, was abandoned except for him and Kurogiri. Who stood behind the bar counter with a nice dress outfit while he watched the monitor set up against the wall of the bar. "While I'm still pissed we couldn't get at All Might, this is a great silver rank reward." he said with a sick grin as he watched a video of Omni Man toppling one of the buildings downtown, the report had the death count two thousand right now and was steadily climbing.

Suddenly, the monitor flicked over to a dark channel with a silhouette, 'Indeed Shigaraki, while the death of All Might would have been a decisive blow to heroes, this has shocked the world in a different way. Sowing seeds of distrust with the heroes that will first blossom on the son.' his master said as the image froze on the son of the apparent villain.

Shigaraki hummed, "Only seeds? From what they're saying online master, I'd say that they're growing pretty well. People are scared shitless of this kid."

'True. But keep in mind his heritage is mainly at play. After all, an alien from the stars claiming to be fighting for humans betraying us is an easier pill to swallow for the masses than the esteemed heroes they place in such high regard.' his master pointed out. Causing his pupil to grumble in response, 'But fear not, for one day these doubts that this man has planted for the heroes of the world shall one day bear fruit, and will lead to the downfall of this society.' the silhouette said menacingly.

AN: SO! GUESS WHO SPENT ALL OF HALLOWEEEN WATCHING SCARY STUFF AND WRITING THIS FIC? THIS GUY! Honestly I was going to end this right at the end where Nolan flies off into space but I decided to show some of the initnal reactions to Nolan's turn from Class 1A and others. We'll get more into it next chapter but I also expanded more on what exactly Nolan and the Viltrumites do as they don't go super into it in the show.

Also yeah, there was no horribly traumatizing train scene in the comic, so I decided to make it even worse with the helicopter crash!

So then onto reviews!

Wolfking0811: I don't know, I was going for 'oh god this is so effed up.' instead of tears.

Dracus: Oh yeah he's alive! He just got hit in his weak spot.

Loke Lupercal: Ooooh man you guys haven't seen anything yet.

For'Sleepy: I mean they don't address it in the show, I think because there was a lot of other things to set up, but the whole world knows that Invicible is Omni Man's son. So it's gonna get kind of rough.

Maelstrom Ressurected: Ehhhh? I mean healing factors are kinda crazy, And lack of oxygen damages the brain and that's what ultimately kills someone. But given that it regenerate? Who knows? I mean it's reanimated dead body. It's already dead. And no, Invicible and MHA are both one big story, so I felt like it's fitting that this is as well, all one story so no one has to click across like six different fics on here to read the entire thing.

And I won't give anything away for the fight. But when it's one of my favorite because of how far it pushes Mark. It makes the fight with his dad look like a slap fight.

Rnji:OOOoooooh yeah, lotta people died.

Messiah of Authors: I actually had to triple check that to be an actual fact. I mean I always assumed it was a monster, I mean FFS it's BRAIN is exposed! And yeah while most of them don't, I think a little suspicion is warranted given that his dad was one of the most known heroes of the world and turned out to be a bad guy.

chris04cano: Oh that'd be nice.

Luke5921: Thanks!

Mosntermeme38: Thank you, I'm aware that my grammar can be messy sometimes, I try and work on it when I can but honestly when the only parts that spellcheck sees as errors are names that I know are correct? It can throw me off. And I can't say what my plans are for Melissa without spoiling them, I will say it's an idea that isn't in the comic but I was inspired by the show from. It's not something that's done in the show, but more something that I thought they could do if they so choose to.

AtomicGod666: oh yeah, Nolan's reveal is only like the first big WTF moment in Invicible out of like….a few dozen. And to be fair, just because some people can fly, doesn't mean they can go into space.

Saint Leiker: Actually, I think the phrase of that fight is the 'What will you have after 500 years?'

Devil Dragon Stand Kight: Got you covered.

Awesomerebel55: Ehhh, this is more him being clever with what he can do. Him actually pushing himself comes later on. him getting angry is what turned the tide here but that's not always a solution.

Guest 1: I can understand that, but keep in mind that Omni Man's fight with Mark happens in issue 12 out of 144. And between those two points even more insane things happen. I mean I'm writing out what happens in the two heroes movie right now, things are gonna go down.

Deepthoughts42: That's true but Nezu was also experimented on so we don't really know if his quirk is natural. I mean he's the only animal with a quirk that we've seen. The chief of police and that one police cat are just mutant type quirks like that one lizard villain. Not that I disagree, but I assume that Nezu is an exception until I see more examples.

IcarusUnraveled: Ah man really!? Well that's a shame, I mean honestly I assume we'll get more episodes than the first season. Walking dead started it's first season with about eight, then 2 had like 26 or something. Then again it's animation which takes much more time, so I could say maybe 16 or something? Take some time to put more budget into animation.

Adam Jensen-TheAugmentedGod: Probably like that council of Reeds in marvel, only instead of just being dicks and thinking they're above everyone they actually help their respective worlds out.

superpirce: Oh yeah, I know that some people weren't convinced at first, but there's some super powerful heroes in MHA.

Sentient Glasses: Yeah I went more for the comics where Debbie gets hit WAY harder because like Mark it came out of nowhere. Here it's the same, but Kali at least can sort of deal with it by finding something else to focus on for a minute. Also I was totally surpised they had Darkblood be….well…an actual detective.

In the comics he's just a joke on Rorschach from Watchmen, he even dresses exactly like him except for a mask. He littearly finds out who killed the guardians after Nolan's fight with Mark and is laughed out of the GDA.

billdean19: Thanks!

D3lph0xL0v3r: Oh, you got no idea. And yeah I haven't read the boys but considering the writer of the Boys is Garth Ennis? He's meant to be a vendictive asshole who parodies what a superman would be.
