Hello everyone, and today, our heroes (Plus Cortex) are heading to a techno society ruled by a brand new villain! Will they save Ika-Ika?

Techno Dystopia (5002)

Jumping out of the rift, the group found themselves in some sort of futuristic city. Neon covered 80% of the city, with the night sky making it really pop.

But despite the bright lights, there was a air of dread and oppression, the feeling of being constantly watched weighting on their shoulders.

"What is this place?" Dragnarok asked as he looks around, and he didn't like what he saw.

Humans, mutants, and even a few robots were mindlessly wandering around, looks of hopelessness and despair painted on their faces.

"My slice of the universe." The female voice from earlier said.

A hologram than appears, showing a figure.

The figure was female, as she was wearing futuristic armor that showed off her curves. The armor itself was sleek, yet durable in appearance. Finally, she was wearing a helmet with horns that were curved downwards and has a faceplate with visor-like eyes that seem to glare into your soul.

"I am Nova Mity, ruler of this place." The figure introduced herself.

"You must be the new partner N. Tropy talked about." Cortex said, crossing his arms.

"You are incorrect. I can see why you would think that though." N. Mity said, surprising the group. "Anyway, they have hired me to deal with you while they put the finishing touches to their plan." N. Mity then held up her arms as she gestures to the area around them. "And in exchange, I'm am made the empress of this technological paradise."

"Paradise? Looks more like a dictatorship to me." Dragnarok said, looking around to see various cyborg mutant crows watching the civilians like hawks, just waiting for them to make the slightest mistake.

"All a matter of perspective." N. Mity said with a shrug of her shoulders. She then holds up a unconscious Ika-Ika. "And I assume you want this back?"

"Ika-Ika!" Lani-Loli shouted.

"Meet me at my palace." N. Mity said before holding up some kind of box with a button on it. "Of course, it won't be a easy journey."

Pressing the button, three trapdoors open.

Bandicoot and Coco falling into one, Dragnarok in the next, and Cortex in the last.

Aku Aku, Lani-Loli, and Kupuna-Wa flying into the trapdoor Bandicoot and Coco fell into, while Akano goes down the trap door Dragnarok fell in.

Being launched through pipes, everyone was scattered into separate sections of the city.

In the city's marketplace, Bandicoot, Coco, and the masks were thrown out of their pipe.

"Where are we?" Coco asked as she looks around.

"It appears we're in the shopping district." Aku Aku said.

Coco then takes out her walkie-talkie like device, only to get nothing but static.

"N. Mity must be jamming our communications." She said in a frustrated tone. Bandicoot then tapped her shoulder before pointing to the palace in the distance. "Well, N. Mity said to meet her at the palace, perhaps we'll meet up there."

With some sort of plan in mind, they began their journey to the palace.

Running and jumping their way through the streets, the bandicoot siblings were soon followed by some cyber crow mutants.

"Targets spotted." One said in a monotone tone. "Activate the electric traps."

Suddenly, various fences, pendulums, and spikes, all electrified, sprouted up all over the place.

"Those will definitely give use a jolt." Lani-Loli said before attaching himself to Bandicoot's back while Kupuna-Wa attaches herself to Coco's back.

With Bandicoot phasing the traps out of existence and Coco slowing the cyborg crows down, the siblings were able to steamroll their way through, easily reaching the palace's front door. As they did, the lights go out.

With Dragnarok, he ended up in the slums of the city.

"Bandicoot? Coco?" The draconic hero asked as he looked at his communication device, only to get static. "Damn it!"

-Head to the palace. N. Mity said to meet her there.- Spyro said.

~Plus, these evil ruler types love to hang out in some sort of castle.~ Cynder added.

"True." Dragnarok said with a shrug.

"Enemies..." Akano said as he saw numerous cyborg crows heading towards their location.

"Of course... Because scattering us across the city wasn't enough..." Dragnarok said in a sarcastic tone as Akano attaches himself to his back.

Moving through the back alley, the draconic hero snuck his way pass the the cyborg crows, only for one to eventually spot him.

"Target spotted." It said before firing bolts of green magic from the halberds they were wielding.

Using the Dark Matter Spin, Dragnarok deflected the bolts, sending back into the cyborg crows and having them fall out of the sky.

However, the cyborg crows then decided to land and pursue the draconic hero on talon.

Seeing that they switched tactics, as well as seeing that he was outnumbered, Dragnarok decided to make a run for it.

Suddenly, a EMP bursts through the air, causing a power outage and forcing the cyborg crows into some sort of sleep.

?!

"That... came out of nowhere..." Dragnarok muttered to himself. "At least the way is clear."

Walking the rest of the way, the draconic hero goes through a backdoor in the palace.

With Cortex, he was in some sort of factory.

"I do like the look of this place." He said as he looks out a window. "Could do without the neon, though."

Pulling his blaster out, Cortex makes his way through the factory.

He then sees some cyborg crows fly at him, only to be turned into blocks.

"Hahaha! Advance cyborgs or not, none can withstand the power of blockification!" Cortex taunted as he uses the block to hop across the gap between catwalks.

Continuing on, Cortex, turning and using enemies as platforms, allowing him to maneuver around various electrical equipment that was sparking in a very dangerous way.

He soon reaches a giant generator that had huge tesla coils on top, which were releasing huge amounts of electricity. In front of it was some sort of control dial.

Cortex looks at the machinery while rubbing his chin.

A cyborg crow then silently land behind him, halberd at the ready.

Turning around to leave, Cortex comes face to face with the mutant.

Startled, the scientist jumps back, accidentally hitting the dial, which causes the generator to short out before releasing a EMP, shutting down the lights and putting the cyborg crow to sleep.

"...Oops." Cortex muttered.

Back with the Bandicoots, they were sneaking through the now darken hallways of the palace.

"Lights on or off, this place sure is creepy..." Coco muttered as the dread and oppression of the city doubled within the palace walls.

All Bandicoot could do is nod in agreement.

Suddenly, the lights flicker on for a second, only to turn off.

"Someone get the backup generator running, or I'm going to start making examples!" N. Mity threatened through a intercom.

"We better take advantage of this as quickly as we can." Aku Aku said.

With a nod, the bandicoot sibling made their way through the palace, lights flickering on and off.

"We have some unwanted guests lurking about. Anyone who brings me their heads gets to live another day." N. Mity said through the intercoms.

That's when the bandicoot bump into Dragnarok.

"Dragnarok!" Coco said happily.

They then hear running footsteps. Following it, they saw it was Cortex being chased by a small legion of cyborg crows.

Grabbing the scientist, our heroes ran around the palace.

Just as the cyborg crows were about to catch up, a electrical barrier turns on between them and the heroes, firing the former.

?!

Letting out a sigh of relief, our heroes soon faced a very big door.

Entering, they saw N. Mity sitting on a throne surrounded by various monitors, with Ika-Ika in her right hand.

Getting a better look at her, they saw that her armor was silver, and the eyes had an orange glow.

"So, you've managed to get this far... I'm impressed, if only slightly." N. Mity said in a annoyed tone. "But let's see if you can handle my top enforcers."

Suddenly, jumping down in front of the heroes were Ladybug and Cat Noir!

However, they were different, very different.

Ladybug was wearing cybernetic armor and a visor-like mask. In her hand was a yo-yo coated in electricity.

Cat Noir, meanwhile, has a robotic left arm, right leg, and tail. He also wore a visor-like mask and was holding a staff with a electrical prong on each end.

"Meet Cyberbug and Cat Borg!" N. Mity declared. "These two tried to lead a resistance, but let's just say I managed to convince them to... change their minds." Ignoring the horrified looks of the heroes, N. Mity looks at her top minions. "Kill them."

The enforcers then charge at the heroes with bloodlust in their faces.

Cyberbug flings her yo-yo at Bandicoot and Coco, forcing the two to dodge while Cat Borg swings his staff at Dragnarok, which he blocks with a Electricity sword.

Cortex, who was at the side of the room, takes out his blaster and gives the heroes covering fire, forcing the enforcers to go on the defensive.

Using Dragon Time, Dragnarok swipes Cat Borg's staff out of his grip. He then shocks him before using it to shock Cyberbug, putting the two down.

"I was hoping my underlings would've taking care of you, but it seems that was too much to ask for." N. Mity said with quiet fury. Stand up, she looks at Ika-Ika before placing her on her back, giving her green armor. She then uses the mask's powers to send the heroes and her enforcers onto the ceiling, which she then joins.

"Let's finish this!" N. Mity shouted as she takes out a bastard sword.

The other Quantum Masks attach themselves to the heroes (Lani-Loli for Bandicoot, Akano for Dragnarok, and Kupuna-Wa for Coco), evening the playing field.

Dragnarok and N. Mity immediately locked blades. As the two clash, Cyberbug and Cat Borg recovered and went to help their master, only to be blocked by Bandicoot and Coco.

With Dragnarok dealing with N. Mity, Bandicoot dealing with Cat Borg, and Coco dealing with Cyberbug, Cortex continued to give the heroes covering fire.

Seeing she wasn't getting any ground against the heroes, N. Mity returns gravity to normal, sending everyone falling.

Thinking quickly, Coco used Kupuna-Wa's power to slow the heroes fall, letting land softly while N. Mity and her enforcers crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

Bandicoot, using Lani-Loli's power, phased away the ground underneath Cyberbug and Cat Borg, causing them to fall down into the next floor.

Seeing that she was now alone, N. Mity let's out an anger sigh.

"I suppose it's true on what they say; If you want something done right, do it yourself." She said before using Ika-Ika's to float up into the air. she then cause sections of the floor to float up, with Dragnarok, Bandicoot, Coco, and Cortex on a few, before then began orbiting her.

N. Mity then opened fired at the heroes with blasters hidden in the wrists of her armor.

Dragnarok, using Akano's power, does the Dark Matter Spin, deflecting the shots before ramming in N. Mity, knocking Ika-Ika off her back.

Without Ika-Ika, N. Mity and the debris fell to the floor, with N. Mity landing on her back, Dragnarok and Coco landing on their feet, and Bandicoot and Cortex landing on their faces.

"Damn you..." N. Mity whispered before passing out.

Ika-Ika, regaining consciousness, floated up to the other masks, who detached themselves to check on him.

"What happened..?" The Mask of Gravity asked.

"Just you kidnapped and used by a madwoman." Lani-Loli said as a rift opens.

"Anyway, we need to get going." Dragnarok said as he points at the rift. "N. Tropy needs to be stopped!"

And with that, they went into the rift.

As this was all happening, a rift opens in the palace, and popping out was Nix.

"Where the hell am I now?" The hybrid asked as he sees himself in the futuristic palace, seeing the lights flicking on and off. "Better find a way out of here."

Getting a move on, Nix made his way through the palace, hiding in the shadows to avoid being detected by the cyborg crows.

Soon enough, he soon reached a glowing red button.

Curious, Nix pushes it, unknowingly activating a electrical barrier.

The same barrier that stop the legion of cyborg crows from catching his friends.

Nix was a little confused by seeing the button not doing anything noticeable, but couldn't ponder on for long as a rift opens behind him and sucks him in.

And that's that!

So yeah... This took a while, seeing that this was original content made from scratch.

Plus, I was busy with work and been distract playing the Demon's Souls remake on PS5.

I'll also want to say that this is the last chapter to introduce a different version of Ladybug and Cat Noir. I'm interested to know which was your favorite.
