"Christ kid." Britt said as Mako pulled a shirt down over his head, "We assumed that this was some sort of terrorist angle, we had no idea about inter dimensional travel was involved." the older man said with his arms crossed in front of him. The Viltrumite nodded in understanding, after a quick decontamination shower and getting the clothes he left at the stadium for him, Britt had come to meet with him for a debriefing in Cecil's stead while he organized a team of agents to clear the area and start searching for evidence.

"Yeah." Mako said simply, looking down at the ground.

Britt recognized the look and put a hand on his shoulder, "Listen kid, believe it or not I know how you're feeling right now."

Mako held back a scoff, "Yeah?" he asked sarcastically.

"Like shit. It's shit that you managed to survive what happened without anything bad happening to you while everyone else got killed." he said with a knowing tone that surprised the teen. He dropped his hand from his shoulder before speaking, "My ex-wife she….well her son had a quirk that consumed solar radiation, but it got to the point where he would expel it faster than he could absorb it." he began to say. "My ex…..well she killed herself making sure that her boy could live. When he found out I was there? He used every bit of power he had to try and kill me….ended up killing himself." he explained sadly.

Mako swallowed hard, "Oh…god I'm-" he began before Britt raised a hand to stop him.

"I'm not telling you to make you feel sorry, I'm telling you this because from how you tell it? You tried, and sometimes that's the best you can do. It took me a while to get that through my skull so I'm helping you cut to the chase. Understand?" Britt said. Mako considered his words for a moment before taking a breath and nodding in understanding, "Good man." he said, patting the teen's shoulder before the door opened to the room with Robot walking inside, "Robot." Britt greeted.

"Britt, Invincible I came by to inform you that your free to go. I'll escort you to Cecil so he can get you back to Japan." he said, Mako nodding in understanding before following him out of the room, giving britt a small wave as he left. "Thank you for attending to the disturbance in Japan, we were busy recruiting for the Guardians and none of us were close enough to deal with the situation unfolding, if we had known I would have sent a team to back you up."

Mako shook his head, "I understand, there's only so many of you guys." he replied with a shrug.

"I'm actually in process of mass-producing drones such as this one, hopefully next time something happens I can assist you in the field." the robot said as he touched his chassis, the tidbit of information however caused Mako to halt mid-stride. Robot noticed and turned to look at him, "What?"

Mako shook his head, "Nothing I just…..well I sort of assumed you were just piloting this thing like an armor." he explained. He had only met Robot a few times and it was clear that he wasn't just what his name implied he was, little things like the way he tilted his head or when he put his hands on his hips were….well, human.

"Ah I can understand your confusion. No, I'm actually remotely controlling these drones, that's my quirk, being able to interface with electronics." he explained before looking down, "I have a…..condition. If my skin is exposed to the open air it can burn." he said sadly.

Mako's eyes widened, "Oh god Robot I'm sorry that's….." he trailed off, he couldn't imagine living with a condition like that, "Is there anything I can do to help?" he offered readily.

Robot seemed to chuckle, "I appreciate the concern In….Mako, but I don't think there's anything you could do." he said as he turned down a corridor. "And thankfully it's not as bad as it used to be." he said, leading the teen down a hallway to a large steel door. Robot walked up to the door which had a green light scan over him before sliding open with Invincible following him inside the room.

The room was divided by a large wall of thick glass, on the other side was a large laboratory with a kid who seemed a few years older than Mako, he had slightly tanned skin with light brown hair that was shoulder length. The young boy looked over at Mako, amusement taking over his features when he saw the shocked expression Mako had, "Not what you expected?" he asked.

The teen rubbed the back of his head, "Not exactly, no." he admitted.

Robot's human form chuckled in amusement, "Well when your able to interface with technology like I can, your mind almost becomes a supercomputer." he said in amusement as stood up from his chair, a rover on wheels rolling behind him with an arm reaching up to the table he was sitting at to grab a glass. "I've been working on a way to treat my condition for the past year, it used to be much worse actually, time was I couldn't be exposed to unfiltered air and I needed to live inside a tank."

Mako watched as he walked over to a sink with a glass to pour himself some water, "My actual name is Rudolph Conners, but people who know me call me Rex." he introduced.

Mako smiled welcomingly, "Nice to meet you formally Rex…see I probably would have gone with Rudy."

"I considered it but when you get older and people start calling you Rudy then-" the man on the inside of the glass began.

Mako raised a hand towards him as he nodded in understanding, "It gets annoying, like pros who call themselves 'teen' or 'boy' or 'kid' when they first start." he reasoned.

"Exactly." Rex sighed. "Anyway I figured since we'll be working together I might as well tell you. That way I won't need to explain if you start seeing more of these drones around." he said as he gestured to the Robot beside Mako as he took a drink of his water.

The Viltrumite nodded in understanding, "Right, thanks Rex, and hey if there's anything I can do-" he began.

Rex waved him off, "I apricate it Mako, and if I think of anything, I'll ask." he said with a smile. He looked to the Robot drone, "This one will take you to Cecil, I need to get some work done. Be seeing you." he said before turning to a computer on a table that he was sitting at before the visitor entered. Mako nodded and gave him a wave as he followed the drone out. without looking back Rex typed in a command to bring up the feed from a personal drone of his that showed an image from above of the Muller Twins making their way through the coastline of Japan. "You've actually helped me out already."

By the time Mako had returned to the Sports Festival, all the first-round matches had been wrapped up and had been moving on into the second round brackets. Flying overhead he had seen the state of the arena and recalling that Uraraka was facing off against Bakugo in the last round of the preliminaries, he rushed through the halls of the stadium to the stands, reaching the seats for class 1A, he was relieved to see his brown-haired friend sitting down with just a patch on her cheek. "Hey! Mako your back!" Sero noticed, making the rest of the class turn to him as he walked down the stairs.

He looked over to Melissa who smiled at his appearance, flashing her an apologetic look, "Hey, sorry I missed the first-round guys." he apologized as he reached his seat next to his girlfriend, Melissa shook her head and was about to open her mouth when she noticed that something looked off about Mako. He was staring at her, not that she wasn't used to it, but the relieved look in his eyes when he looked at her told her that something was amiss.

But this wasn't the time or place to ask, so instead her hand reached out and slipped into his, "You just missed Uraraka's match! She was amazing!" she praised, Mako's attention turning to his friend who could only grumble in frustration over her loss. "Bakugo won in the end, but she tried her best!" she said encouragingly. Mako heard the blonde bomber scoff at her retelling of things, he looked over his shoulder and shot him a look.

Bakugo met the firm look with a glare of his own, Melissa looked between the two of them and could practically feel the sparks coming off them. "Uhhhh…..oh hey! Look Midoriya's match is starting!" she suddenly said, patting Mako on the shoulder to get her attention away from Bakugo. He watched as both Todoroki and Midoriya walked out onto the field towards the arena in the middle, the damage from Uraraka's and Bakugo's match having been repaired by Cementos.

Mako swallowed thickly as the two approached the arena from either side, if he was being honest with himself he didn't know how in the world Izuku could stand up to Todoroki as he currently was with quirk. Unlike Shinso, Todoroki's quirk was pure power and could very easily capture and defeat Izuku, But if he holds off until the right moment, maybe he could take Todoroki out with a well placed hit and knock him out of bounds. he thought. Looking over to the ice user he pursed his lips in thought.

Their earlier conversation was still on his mind, he was determined to just use his ice to win as a 'screw you' to his father. While Mako could respect it, fighting with an armed tied behind their back never worked out well for anyone. "BEGIN!" Present Mic's voice declared, no sooner did he announce the start of the match did Todoroki attack, ice shooting out across the arena towards Izuku who barely had enough time to raise his hand. Suddenly a burst of air pressure shot out into the ice and shattered it!

"What the-!?" Mako balked, he leaned forward in his seat, squinting to try and make out Izuku's hand better, it wasn't bruised and broken like it usually was when he used his quirk before, "How the hell did he…." he trailed off as Melissa leaned forward as well. Another trail of ice shot out towards Izuku and the green haired inheritor repeated what he had done and another burst of air shattered the ice, "What is happening right now?" Mako asked in confusion.

Melissa looked over to Yaoyorozu, "Momo, could you make us a pair of binoculars?" she asked. the creative hero looked over and nodded, forming a pair of them on her arm and handing them to the pair who lifted them up to their eyes and zoomed in on the action. Melissa winced when she saw Izuku's broken fingers, Mako had told her that Izuku's quirk was somewhat self destructive but seeing it in person was something else.

"Oh sonofva-he's doing the same thing he did with the ball with his fingers!" Mako realized, lowering the binoculars as Uraraka held her hand out for them to see for herself.

Handing them to her, Melissa looked at her boyfriend with concern, "He's done this before?" she asked.

Mako nodded grimly, "Yeah, we talked about this during training, he uses his full power on his fingers and flicks them to create a burst of air pressure." he said as Izuku fired off another air burst to defend himself. "It's better then him breaking his whole arm, and he gets about a shot per finger but once those are up? It's the same problem, his hands are broken after." he said as Izuku used the last finger on his right hand to defend himself.

Melissa winced as she looked out to the arena, "So it's just delaying the inevitable." she realized.

Shoto's ice reached across the arena and began to slide up Izuku's leg as he was readying a finger on his left hand, Mako's eyes widened when he saw it made a fist! Suddenly a wave of air pressure shot over those in the stands, Mako squinted and saw Todoroki go skidding back across the arena from the sudden burst of wind! "He did it! He-" Mako began before Todoroki formed ice behind him just at the edge of the arena to cushion his slide. "Damnit!"

When the dust cleared, the extent of Izuku's injuries, his left arm was now bruised and broken like the fingers on his right hand. Mako deflated at the realization that this was it for his friend, He's all out of options…..damnit…if he could just control his power better then he could stand a chance. But….. he trailed off as Todoroki sent another wave of Ice at the green haired teen who stood firmly in the way.

No one expected another burst of wind.

"What?!" Mako exclaimed, standing up from his seat and nearly floating up into the air.

"Down in front!" Bakugo shouted from behind him.

Mako didn't hear him, all he could see was the now even more broken finger that Izuku was holding up, the skin a gross shade of purple. "Oh my god!" Mako exclaimed, "He just re-broke his finger!"

Melissa balked at him, "What?!"

Uraraka leaned forward with the binoculars before lowering them with a disgusted expression, "Ohhhh no….that's…..that's not right." she said, shaking her head as she passed off the Binoculars.

Mako shook his head, he understood his friend wanting to win but this was just absurd! As Todoroki got up from the block of ice he used to stop himself with, he charged at Izuku directly, Mako noticed something…..off, He's…..slower than before…..wait a minute….me and Melissa noticed that he has fire before, and his ice is still a part of him….is he slowing down due to his ice quirk? he asked himself.

From what he overheard, Todoroki's father had him with the intent to overcome a flaw with his own quirk but….what if it was the same the other way? When Izuku uses too much power, his bones break, my invincibility has a limit unless I push myself… his body can't take the cold! he realized as Izuku charged at Todoroki as well, tcking his fist in.

He can win this. Mako realized as he landed a devastatingly strong punch to Todoroki's midsection as the bi haired teen leapt at him. Todoroki was knocked across the arena as the crowd cheered.

But at this rate his best friend might lose all ten of his fingers if he kept this up! Should…should I do something!? I mean I want him to win but not if his arms are permanently broken! he thought as the fight carried on, Izuku using his finger air shots to create some distance between them.

Melissa looked up at Mako's worried expression, "Mako, I'm sure that they won't let Izuku hurt himself too bad. Right?" she asked, looking around the other students. They all fell into an awkward silence, the optimism she had quickly vanished, "R…..right?" she asked, more unsurely this time.

"You do remember the giant robots in the race that crushed Kirishima right?" Tooru asked.

"I'm fine though!" Kirishima stated.

Mako turned to him with a look, "Yeah but dude, what if your quirk wasn't hardening and was instead just getting crushed by robots?" he asked dryly. The spikey redhead rubbed the back of his head as Mako looked towards the judge podium where Midnight was watching the fight from, "Screw this! I'm not letting my friend maim himself for entertainment!" he said as he crouched down to lift off.

"Don't!" Mako stopped and turned back to Bakugo, the blonde haired boy giving him angered look, "If you step in just because your worried that stupid Deku is going to get hurt then your just going to coddle him for the rest of his life!" he argued. "If the damn nerd breaks his fingers we got the old hag to fix them, but for the love of god get him off your teet! It's annoying!" Bakugo shouted in annoyance.

Mako's jaw clenched, as much as he hated to admit it, and never would out loud…..Bakugo had a point. He couldn't just charge in wen his friend was in trouble, Izuku was his own person, his own man…he needed to take care of himself. Even when it worried Mako.

He looked over to Melissa with an unsure, conflicting look in his eyes, she offered up a confident smile, "He's right, the judges won't let him go too far. Besides as long as Todoroki doesn't use his fire? Izuku probably has a shot at winning this!"

FLOOSH!

A heatwave passed over the crowd as a raging infero emerged on the arena, Mako turned back to Melissa disbelievingly, the blonde blinked with an open mouth as she looked between him and the fire, "I…I'm sure he didn't hear me?" she offered up as the two on the field began charginging up for their last attacks.

Mako saw Cementos on the other side of the field begin to make some sort of barrier, and midnight ripping a part of er suit on her arm, he quickly turned to Melissa and got in front of her, "Everyone down!" he shouted before a large explosion sent shockwaves across the stadium and it's watchers. Mako wrapped his arms around Melissa protectively as wind rushed over them, her hair bellowing behind her from the force of the explosion. Mineta even flying up out of his seat if Shoji didn't catch him.

When it was over, Mako pulled back from Melissa with concern, "Are you ok?" he asked his girlfriend, whose glasses had become askew and her hair feathered out behind her.

She was grinning, "That…..was….awesome!" she exclaimed, Mako chortling at her reaction to the explosion. He reached out and took her glasses in his hands, adjusting them so they fit across her nose and over her ears. His fingers brushed down the sides of her face for a brief second, as though he was making sure she was ok, her hand reached up to his, "I'm fine…..you big worry wort." she chided.

"Awwwww." the couple suddenly remembered that they weren't alone and looked over to see Ashido fawning over them with hearts in her eyes, "You two are sooooooo cute!" she squealed. Mako cleared his throat as Melissa looked away with her cheeks reddened.

Mako turned his head towards the arena…..where Todoroki was the only one standing inside….while Izuku was in a small crater on the wall. "…..he better be alive so I can kick his ass for that." Mako said to himself.

Izuku was, as it turned out, alive and well…unfortunately for him.

Mako only managed to whack him upside the head once for Recovery Girl said she needed to prep him for surgery, while the others went back to the stands to wait for Cementos to repair the Arena, Mako and Melissa had decided to stay back for Izuku in case he needed help getting to his seat. "I just texted his mom, told her that he should be fine by the end of the day…..poor woman probably flooded her apartment crying so much." Mako said to his girlfriend who giggled. "I'm serious! Izuku is just as bad, you saw him when Uraraka went to join his team and when he won the second round." he recalled.

The support student shook her head, "Still though, probably a good idea to let her know…..still though." she said, looking towards the door to the infirmary with a cornered look. "Is this what it's like for him every time he uses his quirk?" she asked sadly.

Mako exhaled sharply, "Yeah….ever since he discovered it….I've been trying to help him get him to better control it so it doesn't break his body but honestly I got no idea what I'm doing." he admitted.

Melissa sighed, "Don't be hard on yourself, hardest part about being a support student is finding out how quirks work so we can supplement them. It took me and my dad a while to figure out how to fix your work out problem." she provided, setting a hand on his arm. He smiled at her as he leaned up against the wall next to the door, Melissa looked at it for a moment, "You know…..I might be able to make something to help him." she said, making Mako turn to her. "From what I saw, his quirk is collected energy that's unleashed through his attacks, they don't need to be physical since he used air pressure like he did."

Mako nodded, "Yeah that's right, he described it as being an egg in a microwave." he said, his friend's analogy making more sense the more he considered it. "So what's the solution?" he asked.

"Well, right now Izuku is just an egg in there, what if I could make something that allows him to take more heat so to speak?" she asked as she cupped her chin in thought. "We have special absorption materials at I-Island….I could work on something that could take his full power instead of his body directly taking it." she reasoned.

Mako stepped off the wall and turned to her with excitement, "Seriously? Melissa that'd be amazing! What do I owe you?" he asked.

His girlfriend turned to him with a smile, "Now hold on I'm just doing this for Izuku…but was thinking of having a movie night together….my choice." she said.

Mako smirked as he stepped closer to her, wrapping his arms around her waist, and pulling her close to him as her arms slid around his neck, "Don't really see a downside to that." he replied with a smirk.

Melissa smiled back, "Who ever said that all favors need to have a downside?" she asked before leaning in closer to Mako, her lips parting slightly as-

"I AM HERE TO CHECK ON MY STUDENT BECAUSE I AM A GOOD TEACHER!' All Might announced, causing Mako to leap up into the ceiling while Melissa turned around, wide eyed and a beaming smile as he exited the infirmary.

"Uncle Might!" She exclaimed as the large hero turned to her in tome to catch her as she jumped into his arms.

All Might beamed as he embraced his niece, "I thought I saw a lovely little lady! How are you dear?" he asked happily as he held his niece up by the underside of her arms like one would a child. Mako watched the scene unfold with a relieved look, he had actually wanted to try and get Melissa to see All Might but he could never get a chance to speak with him after class was over.

"I'm great Uncle Might! It's so good to see you it's been too long!" she greeted happily as her uncle set her down. "Papa wanted to come this year but he was too busy, but Mako offered to fly me here instead." she said, turning as gesturing to Mako who simply waved at his teacher. Melissa noticed the distance Mako was keeping and rolled her eyes, "He's not going to hit you for dating me, he's All Might!"

"I mean I know that. You know that. Does he know that?" Mako joked as he pointed at All Might.

Melissa turned to her uncle who gaver her a nervous laugh, "hehehe, I might have…well….gotten a little overzealous when he mentioned you were dating."

"I was too scared to land until class was over!" Mako accused.

Melissa gave her uncle a look, which made the man who was easily four times her size shrink down a little, "Uncle Might, I love you, but if he breaks my heart? I'll deal with it. Got it?" she asked, bumping her fist against his chin playfully, the man smiled and nodded in understanding as Mako approached them.

"Is Izuku going to be able to leave soon?" he asked with concern.

All might demeanor shifted to a more professional stance, "I spoke with Recovery Girl, he'll be fine….however she's adamant that she won't heal him if he hurts himself like this again." he said with a small bit of hesitation.

Mako's eyes widened, "What!? That's-so if he gets his arm broken she's going to what? Wish him luck?" he asked.

All Might raised a hand, "I understand Young Mako, but she if she keeps healing Young Midoriya every time he is injured, we'll have more incidents like today." he said, Mako's anger fading as he realized that All Might was right. "Midoriya needs to better control his power, it's not going to be easy, but I think he'll manage eventually." he said confidently.

Mako folded his arms across his chest, "I guess….still doesn't sit right with me." he said before realizing something. He looked over at Melissa, "Hey, Um…..Melissa could I talk to All Might about something for a second?" he asked apologetically. His girlfriend looked at him curiously but nodded in understanding.

"Sure, if you give me some cash to get some snacks." she bargained, holding out her hand expectantly.

Mako smiled and handed her a couple rolls of Yen, "Here, stay away from Corndogs, you do not want to know what they put in those things." he warned.

Melissa nodded and turned back to her uncle, giving him a hug around his waist, "Do you think we can meet up after the Festival for a while? I want to talk to you too about papa." she asked, All Might beamed down at her and nodded, patting her on the back as she walked off.

All Might watched her leave before turning to Mako, "I meant what I said, I was overzealous with you when you first brought up that you two were together, I'm sorry." he said, bowing his head.

Mako waved it off, "It's fine sir but…look can I ask you something?" he asked, All Might nodded, "Well…..alright it's kind of complicated but…is there something going on between you and Izuku?" he asked, All Might's entire frame stiffened and Mako noticed it. "It's just…..I'm not sure if Izuku said anything to you, but Todoroki…..well it's just there's kind of some issues with who his father is and who you are? I'm just wondering." he said honestly as he watched All Might closely.

The Symbol of Peace seemed to relax as he spoke, "Ah, I think I understand. I can see how Young Todoroki would come to that conclusion, as for his father…." he trailed off, "….there's some history between me and him. However most of it is admittedly from his side, he has a drive to be the best at any cost….and recent events make me question what those may be." he admitted.

Mako held his tongue, he might have more insight into Shoto's situation but he wasn't going to blab about it without at the very least running it by him. "However as for me and Midoriya, I've noticed how his quirk operates and have been trying to help guide him to use it without damaging himself. I asked him to be discrete as I didn't want the other students to think I was playing favorites." he explained, "And I hope that you'd be willing to as well?" he asked.

Mako's shoulders relaxed, "Right, yeah of course. I get that. I mean if Bakugo learned about that he might…..well he would really just get SUPER pissed about it-can I tell one person?" he asked. All Might chuckled at his joke, "But yeah, I'll keep it to myself." he agreed. He looked towards the door to the infirmary, "Tell him I waited for him? I don't want him to think I'm actually mad at him for breaking his hands." he said.

All Might nodded and Mako floated away down the hall, the symbol of peace letting out a breath of relief.

However…Mako didn't know if he believed him.

I mean yeah it makes sense, but Izuku….the dude's room is an All Might shrine, and I know it! If he was getting pointers from All Might? I'm pretty sure he'd share them with everyone. he thought as he flew down the halls. Then again…..if All Might asked him to keep it between them? I could see him keeping his mouth shut. God am I just so paranoid after what dad did that I'm seriously questioning my best friend? Get a grip Mako.

It was enjoyable to watch Bakugo and Kirishima face off, Mako had hoped that the hardening hero would manage to withstand Bakugo's explosions and manage to take him down. However it was bittersweet for Mako to watch as Todoroki used his ice to freeze Iida's engines and him in place to win the semi-finals match. Which led to the final round of Shoto vs Bakugo…..which ended with Bakugo Angry.

Not because he lost, but because unlike Izuku, he couldn't push Toodoroki to use his fire.

And when the podiums showing the winners for the sports festival, Tokoyami managing to get into third place, Bakugo had to be chained up with a muzzle and chained to a pole so he wouldn't instigate another fight with Todoroki who was in the second place podium beside him. "You know when you told me that Bakugo was a handful, I thought you were just exaggerating….." Melissa said as she and Mako walked out of the stadium, hand in hand with the rest of his class who were varying levels of tired.

"I mean to be fair, I don't think anyone has been brave enough to muzzle him until today." he joked as Melissa chuckled. He almost expected a reprimand from Iida until he remembered he wasn't there. He had some sort of family emergency to take care of after his match and had to leave. Mako had offered to fly him to where he needed to go, but the class rep politely declined. "So, best sports festival you've ever been to?" he asked.

Melissa beamed at him, "Are you kidding? You might have ruined this for me, I'll never be able to just sit at home and watch again!" she said with excitement. Her head turned to her boyfriend, "Plus I can't wait to see YOU compete in them next year." she said.

Mako was taken aback by the proposal, he hadn't really thought about his next two years and competing in either of those, "I…..huh….you really think-" he began to question before she leaned over and pecked him on the cheek.

"I don't think. I know." she said encouragingly, putting his premature hesitation to rest before it could fester.

Ahsido grabbed her chest, "My heart! It's so wholesome!"

Mako rolled his eyes at his classmate's outburst, "I understand if you hate my classmates." he offered Melissa, who only laughed in response.

"Actually they're all super nice and friendly! Mina even added me to your group chat." she told him.

Mako blinked owlishly, "What group chat?" he asked, causing the whole class to stop.

Tooru suddenly gasped, "Oh my god I can't believe we forgot to tell you!" she said, raising her sleeves up, Mako assuming that she was covering her mouth as she realized their mistake.

"We made it after the USJ thing, you were in the hospital so I guess we sorta forgot, hang on." Sero said as he pulled out his phone. Mako's chimed, looking down he smiled when he saw the Class 1-A group chat invite. "Sorry man." he apologized.

Mako waved him off, "No biggie." he dismissed before turning to Melissa, "After you chat with All Might, I should actually be getting you home." he said with a twinge of sorrow in his voice. He had planned on spending most of his day with his girlfriend but had ended up needing to ditch her.

Izuku limped over, his leg still in a cast which Recovery Girl had put him in, "Uh….Mako, I don't suppose you could give me a lift as well?" he asked sheepishly.

Mako smirked as he shrugged, "Sure I just…" he began before realizing something, "Um…..where would I hold you by while I fly you though?" he asked.

Mako, Melissa, and Izuku looked down at the green haired teen, with both his arms and one leg in a cast, "Huh…..I could ride on your back while you grab him from…..no his arms are hurt." Melissa said, realizing he couldn't 'backpack' Izuku.

Mako suddenly grinned, "Actually I have a solution to this."

"I DO NOT LIKE THIS SOLUTION!" was what Izuku yelled out as he was held upside down by his one good foot while Mako flew through the sky with one arm around Melissa who was holding onto his side on the way to the Midoriya household. After dropping him off at home to Inko, whose apartment seemed to be suffering from a flash flood which Melissa found to be confusing, he took her back to I-Island.

"-and then before any of us even realized, Todoroki had formed this giant glacer and trapped poor Sero inside!" Melissa recalled as she, her father, an Mako sat down in the living room of their home. David smiling as Melissa retold him what he had missed and she had witnessed firsthand. Mako snorted, "It's not funny, I felt bad for him….espically when everyone told him 'nice try'." she said, fighting down her own smile at the other student's misfortune.

Mako barked out a laugh, "Ha! Well at least he gave it his best shot."

David chuckled, "Well that's how the game works sometimes, heroes go up against villains whose quirks don't work on them. Or the other way around." he explained sheepishly as he raised his hands, "Of course I'm one to talk, mine is kind of useless." he said as his quirk, bendy fingers activated and his fingers bent like wet noodles.

Mako choked on air, "Oh god."

Melissa giggled, "Oh yeah you've never seen his quirk!" she said cheerfully with amusement. Mako squirmed in his seat as David wiggled his figners around, "Do you want to touch it?" she asked jokingly.

Mako shook his head, "NOPE. I'm good." he said, raising his own hands.

David chuckled as he deactivated his quirk, "Still though, shame you didn't compete yourself Mako."

The teen rubbed the back of his head, after witnessing the festival he had to admit he did feel somewhat left out, while professionally he didn't really need to attend the event due to his deal with the GDA, it still felt like he was missing out. "Yeah…..but I think it's still for the best. when I was outside the stadium, I got a lot of dirty looks out there." he said sadly. Melissa frowned at the news, her hand reaching over into his, he looked up at her and smiled, "Sorry I had to bail." he apologized.

"Your fine. But…..Mako what exactly happened?" she asked.

Five minutes later.

David's jaw dropped, "Multiversal travel?!" he asked.

Mako nodded, "From what I gather yeah. Guy just wanted to explore the multiverse and….well now-" he said, looking down.

Melissa's hand shot to his shoulder, "Mako don't blame yourself, what happened was tragic but it's not your fault. He broke out a pair of dangerous supervillains to help him. I'm not sure if having someone like that be able to explore the multiverse is a good idea." she reasoned.

David pursed his lips together, "Still though, the ability to cross dimensions at will, what a fascinating quirk." he admitted, his hand cupping his chin as he silently considered the possibilities. Melissa looked up at her dad and gave him a strange look, she could share in the scientific curiosity as well, but the ends didn't justify the means. She shook those thoughts aside and looked at her boyfriend, "Are you alright?" she asked.

"I mean physically. Yeah, little roughed up, but I mean…..talking about it helped." he said, his face was a little bit bruised but nothing compared to the fight with his father. "Speaking of weird stuff, did you ever find out what happened to the zombie robot?" he asked David, shaking him out of his thoughts.

He nodded, "Yes and well…." he glanced over at his daughter, not entirely comfortable discussing details with her. But the stern look she gave him through her glasses told him she wasn't leaving. "Well as far as we can tell, the body was kept alive with cybernetics….and they seem to be retrofitted parts that have gone missing from some of the labs." he said, making the couple sit up straighter. It meant that whoever did this was here on this island, "As for the poor victim, he was a…..former student. Tobias Turner." he said.

Melissa let out a gasp, "Toby?! But…..I just saw him a few weeks ago…..I…." she trailed off, Mako's arm wrapping around her shoulder protectively as he pulled her into a comforting embrace. "Why would anyone even do this to him? To anyone?" she asked.

David shook his head, "I don't know, but we're running a security check for the next few weeks, we're searching the island, top to bottom to try and find out where he was kept. As well as see if anyone else is missing." he told them. The fact that this happened to Tobias and no one even realized he was missing concerned him, if there are more people missing then it could be that they could have multiple victims of whoever did this to him.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Mako offered.

David shook his head, "I already contacted the GDA, they're investigating the remains of Toby right now. I'm sure that if anything happens, Cecil will contact you." he reasoned. Mako nodded as the man got up from his chair, "Now it's getting late, and I'm sure you need to head home Mako." he said.

Mako nodding as he and Melissa stood up, "Yeah, thankfully we get a few days before school for the other grades to take part in the festival." he said, second years would be competing tomorrow and after that the third years. Though to be honest he would be surprised if there was anything that could top the events of today. He leaned over and pecked Melissa on the cheek, "See ya."

Melissa smiled, "See ya." she replied as he walked over to the balcony window and took off into the setting sky.

"So how was the day with your girlfriend?" Kali asked smugly as she walked behind her son on the couch, a plate of cheesy potatoes in her hand which she handed him.

Mako sighed with irritation, "It was nice until Cecil called me away." he said dryly, taking the plate from his mother's hands. "I really hope she's not mad at me. She didn't seem mad." he fretted, making his mother chuckle. "What?" he asked as she sat on the chair next to the couch with her own plate.

"When your with a superhero honey? You learn pretty quickly that they won't always be able to stick through whole dates." she said mirthfully before looking up at him as she took a bite of her food. "But you also learn that what they're doing? Is much bigger then yourself, and while it can hurt sometimes, as long as they tell you that you matter to them? That you help them get through the day? And that they hate spending time away from you as well? Then it doesn't hurt anymore." she said, making Mako smile.

"Well considering I apologized a dozen times for having to leave, hopefully she knows." he said.

"Well make it another dozen to be sure. Girls are tricky hon." she joked as Mako flipped on the TV to the sports channel as they were discussing the sports festival.

'-shocking the crowd was Katuski Bakugo's apparent need to be chained in place while awarded the medal by All Might. Which has led some people to speculate what type of students are U.A. letting in.'

"Ha! Thank you!" Mako cheered.

'Like the son of Omni-Man, Invincible.'

Mako's head dropped while Kali snorted, "Damnit."

'Invincible was surprisingly absent from the Sports Festival today, some expected an appearance by the apparent hero, others welcomed his absence. When reaching out to U.A. for comment on the absence of the student, the school officially replied saying that Mako Metuki decided to abstain from the competition this year due to persecution he's suffered from ever since his fateful fight with his father, Omni Man.' the reporter reminded.

Mako's hand ran over his brow, messaging his temple, "Do we need to see another replay?" he asked.

'Though people are still wary of the GDA approved superhero, a number of people have come to his defense in light of the released footage.' the reporter informed, making Mako lean back in his seat as he ate.

Well at least not everyone hates, only most people do. Greeaat. he thought.

'In other news toady, sad news out of Hosu city as the pro hero Ingenium was hospitalized due to injuries sustained from the attempted capture of the Hero Killer.' Mako nearly choked on his food at the mention of Iida's older brother. He watched in shock as a photo of Iida's older brother came on the screen with him in costume, Mako remembered the family emergency that drew him away from the sports festival…..and how he was hoping his brother got to watch him today for his match.

Oh god Iida…

AN: Phew! Finally got this one out, I know it's been a few weeks and I'm sorry for the lack of updates. School has started up for me and I'm using the spare time I have to focus on a game that I'm making with friends. I'm doing the combat animations and I'm working almost every day on them at home. Combine that with my dad and his girlfriend getting married and it's been a interesting couple weeks.

But hopefully the next chapter will be smoother as I have that one more planned out. Oh! I also got my tickets to go see the Batman next month! Which I'm super excited for, and makes me wish I wrote a better Batman Beyond Fanfic then the one I did XD.

Now for Robot…there's a reason his name is Rex instead of Rudy, similar to the comics. He also doesn't start out as a weird fetus thing because…well honestly this makes more sense. I mean I get that it's for shock value, but I don't think it really matters. It's more his condition that matters for his motivation.

Now then, onto reviews:

D3lph0xL0v3r: yeah basically, I mean it's never even addressed in the comic outside of when it happens. I thought it was this one guy for the longest time but as it turned out it wasn't. It just got leaked. And I actually haven't seen the third movie yet, I know the plot from Wikipedia, but outside of that, nothing.

Drcaus: That's a ways off…..or is it!

Maelstrom Ressurected: I got a little something special planned for the internship arc.

Iskander Svengali: Honestly it was kind of annoying because it's just repeating what's happening in the show. And trying to make realistic reactions, it's why I appreciate Reaction fics so much.

Fanfictionor8: yeah he gets better as the story goes on. And honestly it's more about how society as a whole views quirks. I mean Bakugo is a piece of shit at first, but it's not entirely his fault because of the world he grew up in. One where being the strongest means being the best, and everyone kept telling him he was the best from a young age so he grows up thinking he doesn't need any help.

Abarrow899: They must have at some point but it's not like they're swapping stories over how terrible each of them is over a beer or something.

Super Comrade: Well….

Guest 2: yeah it's not the same obviously because Nolan does legitimately love his son. Endavor's case is more complicated.

Guest 1: Oh I was referring to the comic, I mean he's dressed EXACTLY like roshach from Watchmen. Purple pants, trench coat, he even has this wrap around his head that looks like his mask from behind. In the show they went more with the hellboy angle.

Sarcasm Sage 626: I mean honestly I get that we get the girls in cheerleader outfits from it, but why the hell would Momo ever believe a thing that comes out of Mineta's mouth? Yeah Angstrom isn't exactly a mustache twirling villain, he just wanted to do what any of us would do with his powers.

Yea-yah: Ok see the problem with Mako being part of the Hero Killer arc is…he'd just end then and there. I mean Stain has a sword, Invincible can tank a tank shell.

Spartan of Chaos: Oh yeah that's gonna be fun to explore.

Guest 3: Here you go!
