The massive cruiser came out of hyperspace as it came close to Yara. Anakin watched on the bridge, gazing out the massive window. Looking to his right, he could see a blockade, no doubt keeping Queen Korić from being able to leave the planet. Turning towards an officer nearby, he switched into general mode.
"Zaven, get me the Queen on com."
The dark skinned male nodded his head and did as he was told. Within seconds, the blonde woman was in front of Anakin. He could sense her trepidation as soon as the call went through.
"High General, that was quick. I assume you are here?"
Anakin gave a polite bow before standing and nodding his head.
"Yes Milady, we've reached the planet. Unfortunately there is a blockade set up by the Separatists."
He watched as the worry started to set in on her features.
"Rest assured though, we will take care of it. Once we do, we will send the signal. That should allow you to leave the planet and make way to Imara."
The Queen nodded her head and seemed to relax.
"Good. How long should it take?"
Anakin gave a small smile.
"Not long at all. As a matter of fact, it should be mere seconds once the call has ended."
The Queen looked at him in shock, as if she could hardly believe her ears. He chuckled to himself seeing her expression. This would no doubt be a shock to anyone else who wasn't as strong as he was in the Force.
"I know it sounds impossible, but trust me. I would not lie to you in a situation as dire as this one."
He received a nod and watched as she barked out orders to people he assumed were in the room as she was.
"Have the shipped prepared and ready to go. We will be leaving as soon as possible."
She turned back to Anakin and gave him a smile that told him she trusted him.
"We will be awaiting your signal. I ask of you again to be safe. I do not wish to bear the news to your wife of any injury you receive."
Giving a smile in return, he nodded his head and the signal cut out. Turning once more to the window overlooking the blockade, he noticed Bray making his way over to him.
"What course of action do you plan on taking?"
Turning towards his friend, he smirked. He hadn't had many opportunities to show everyone how powerful he had become and this would be the first time in doing so.
"Tell the men to get to their fighters. We will be making way to the planet very soon."
Bray exchanged a look with Devan. They both seemed to be unsure of the confidence Anakin was presenting to them, but they knew better than to question him. They trusted him and knew he was a man of his word.
"You heard him. Have the fighters prepped and ready to go. We will be departing as soon as we get the go ahead."
As the orders were being relayed, Anakin calmly made his way over to where he was looking fully at the massive blockade. Steeling himself, he took a deep breathe and reached out with the Force. He could feel every single crack and crevice of the ships in front of him, including the cruiser that was commanding where the droids were to attack. He couldn't feel Dooku or Grievous on it, so they were either on the planet or not here at all.
Focusing, he reached his hands out, as if to grab the ships. He could feel them stop in their tracks and the surprise that was coming from each of them. He clenched both of his fists and could feel them slowly starting to cave in on themselves.
Shock permeated around the bridge as everyone watched. No one had ever seen this kind of power before. It was truly a sight to behold. Taking out a single fighter was impressive enough. A whole fleet though seemed impossible.
Once Anakin had felt that enough pressure had been dispersed towards the ships, he flexed his hands outwards as if to push them away. The result ended up being catastrophic for the blockade.
Explosions went off everywhere as the blockade was violently torn apart. No vessel was left as debris was sent flying. Even the massive cruiser rivaling their own was no more as it had been blown apart and sent flying out into space.
Opening his eyes, Anakin surveyed his work and looked to be satisfied. He turned back to the bridge and saw the shocked faces meeting him. He smirked as he walked towards the same officer he had contact the Queen and told him to send the signal to her.
The man snapped out of his momentary lapse and did as he was told. After a view brief seconds, a beeping was heard to indicate that the signal had been received. Happy with the news, Anakin turned towards the two Majors and grinned at the awestruck faces they were showing.
"I suppose we should get down there and finish this off."
Devan was the first to react, as he tapped a few buttons on his wrist. Reaching it up towards his mouth he began to give orders.
"Get to your fighters. We will begin launching towards the planet in 60 seconds."
A reply was heard indicating they received their orders and they had begun to do as they were told. Devan looked back towards Anakin and shook his head.
"Well damn Anakin. You plan on letting us have any action as well?"
He received a chuckle as Anakin shook his head at his friend.
"Of course. It's quite easy to do that when you're at a safe distance. Once we reach the planet and get bombarded with the actual fight, I'll need some backup to help me out."
The trio began to make their way to the hangar to board the ships to take them planet side. Splitting up, Anakin got in to a ship with a squad he personally oversaw in training. This was to be the best squad in their army, rivaling his old team, the 501st.
"Let's go boys. Time is of the essence."
He received a nod from the leading Commander, who turned to bark orders to the pilot. Glancing to his left, he looked eyes with his best friends.
"See you planet side!"
Bray and Devan nodded their heads and gave a quick salute. They disappeared from sight once the doors of the ship closed, indicating they were taking off. Reaching up, Anakin grabbed on to the support hanging from a beam overhead. Steadying himself, he began to prepare for the first fight he had been in for two years.
Queen Korić was in her ship heading towards Imara. She had no doubt in Anakin's abilities, but this even seemed impossible. One second he was on the com telling her he was near the planet, the next she was on her way to the planet of her friend. Turning towards her chief of security, she calmly asked of any trouble ahead.
"Is the zone secure?"
Looking towards the navigational scanner, he nodded his head to confirm what Anakin had signaled.
"All that's out there is the cruiser they arrived in and the debris that's left of the blockade. I'm not sure how Milady, but it has been utterly destroyed."
She nodded her head, trying to hold in her shock. When she saw Sakina, she would have to tell her that her husband was an incredible man, in more ways than one. Turning towards another officer, she began to speak.
"I need you to get the Chancellor of the Republic on the com for me. I need to inform him of our impending arrival."
She was meet with a nod and watched as he typed away. Soon enough the figure of the old man was in front of her via hologram. He bowed his head towards her and spoke to her in a kind voice.
"Milday, it pleases me to see you unharmed."
She returned the bow to him and gave her retort.
"Thank you, Your Excellency. We have made our way off planet and our making our way to safety."
She watched as the man smiled warmly and nodded his head.
"Good. I take it this message is about my offer to you and your allies."
She nodded her head at the statement.
"Yes it is. I reached out to them and discussed what you have told me. We reached an agreement to come to Coruscant to discuss details with you. If all is well, we may agree to join the Republic."
The smile grew on his face and she could see the eagerness on his face.
"Excellent my dear. I will have a welcoming committee ready to meet you once you arrive. I promise you, this will work out favorably for both sides."
She bowed her head in thanks towards him.
"Thank you sir. We will be there within the next day."
With that, the communication cut off and the Queen sat there in silence for a brief time. She had not wanted to be dragged in the war, but with this invasion it seemed inevitable now. Safety for her people came first and whatever she had to do to bring that about, she would more than gladly do it.
Sidious sat in his office with a sinister smirk on his face. Everything was going to plan. Soon, he would have another system under his control. Two of the planets offering invaluable help towards his Grand Plan. Turning towards Mas Amedda, he spoke in his true Sith voice.
"Get me Senator Amidala and Senator Organa. I need them to help organize the welcoming committee."
The blue man bowed towards him and went on his way. Leaning back in his chair, Sidious took a deep breath, savoring the impending victory for him and the Sith. Soon, he would reign for eternity. And there would be no one to stop him once he set his plan into motion.
Ahsoka watched as her friend paced around her throne room. It would be safe to say that she and Sakina had become close, especially after she had been asked to be the Queen's personal bodyguard. Anakin had trusted her more than anyone with the safety of his wife's life. She had felt honored, and had promised to not let him down.
However, seeing her like this was something new. Granted, this was the first time Anakin had been sent away from her, but it was still a sight to behold. Trying to get her attention, Ahsoka felt the need to speak.
"Don't worry Milady, Anakin will be safe. If there's one thing I know, he does not make empty promises."
She watched as Sakina stopped pacing and turned towards her. A smile had began to appear on her face as she shook her head at Ahsoka.
"Soka, there's no need for formalities when it is just us. You are apart of our family, so there will be no talk of this 'Milday' rhetoric."
A warmth filled her heart as she returned the smile towards Sakina. No matter how long she had been in her company, it still brought joy to her, knowing she had a place in a family now. That warmth died a little once she saw the smile fall and heard a distressed sigh escape the Queen's lips.
"I just don't like him being so far away and in danger. I know he is strong but I am still fearful of what could happen."
Rising from where she was sitting, Ahsoka walked over towards her. She placed a calming hand on her shoulder and looked deep into her eyes when she spoke.
"I understand your fear and I will admit, it is difficult not being by his side right now. When I was in the Order with him, we went everywhere together and always had each other's back."
She watched as Sakina seemed to be paying full attention to her now. It was almost as if she was hanging on to every word she was saying.
"But, if there's one thing I know about Anakin, he always comes back to those he loves. He may be reckless sometimes, but he always remembers what's important. He loves you and I promise you he meant it when he said he would be careful. We'll see him soon, I know it."
The smile slowly returned on the beautiful woman and Ahsoka couldn't help but to return it. She was then pulled in to a tight embrace and felt the warmth fill her again.
"Thank you, Ahsoka. It's no wonder why Anakin always spoke so highly of you before we met."
Sakina pulled back from her to look at her as she continued to speak.
"You have been a wonderful friend to us, and an even better sister. It has brought me so much happiness to have you here."
She gave a playful shrug and began to smirk mischievously.
"And I think when the time comes, you'll be an even better aunt."
Laughter filled the air as both women shared another tight embrace. As they pulled apart and the laughter had died down, 3PO came shuffling into the room.
"Mistress Sakina, your mother has arrived."
The gleam in the Queen's eyes returned and Ahsoka felt the pure joy filling her. She quickly walked over to the droid and asked him to lead the way.
The two women followed the droid down the hall, as he carried on in his eagerness. Ahsoka had to admit, she got much entertainment out of 3PO, as he always became excited when guests arrived to the Castle. She glanced to her left and saw a amused smirked on the face of Sakina. She caught her eye and the Queen turned towards her, shaking her head and chuckling. This brought a grin to her face, as the two listened to the droid's rant.
When they arrived at the main hall, they saw Alia and Rosaé having a conversation with another woman. Getting closer, Ahsoka could immediately who it was. The same brown eyes and black hair resembled the woman standing next to her. Even the brownish tan complexion looked the same.
"Mother!"
The woman turned towards the group and smiled wide. Sakina raced towards the woman and shared an embrace with her. As they pulled apart, the elderly woman placed her hands on the cheeks of her daughter.
"My daughter it is so good to see you. I was just talking to Alia and Rosaé about how long it seems to have been since I've seen you."
This brought a chuckle out of the Queen.
"Mother, it's only been a standard month. It could've have felt that long."
This time the mother chuckled in response, as she gave a playful pat to her daughter's cheek.
"Let your mother dote a little, my child. I have missed you very much."
The Queen melted at her mother's words, reaching up to take ahold of her mother's hands.
"I've missed you too mother."
The woman's eyes shifted over to Ahsoka. Another huge smile appeared on her face as she moved away from her daughter.
"Ahsoka my dear! How have you been?"
Before she could answer, she was wrapped tightly in a hug. Chuckling, she returned the embrace, albeit, not quite as tight.
"I have been well Lady Allamani. It's good to see you again."
The lady pulled back and looked around the room.
"Sakina, where is your husband?"
At this, the four women in the room shared a look. This was not lost on the mother, as she could read the pensiveness from miles away.
"Ani is away fighting on Yara. It seems that the Separatists have invaded the planet."
Ahsoka watched as the Queen spoke in a melancholic voice. She could see the uneasiness beginning to show it face again, as the smile that had been on her face was no longer present.
"Oh dear, how long will he be gone? And will Queen Korić be okay?"
At this, Ahsoka felt the need to speak up.
"The Queen is heading here as we speak. As far as how long Anakin will be gone, that is uncertain at the moment."
The group then began to fill in Lady Allamani in on everything that had happened within the last few hours. The discussed the plan to head to Coruscant to negotiate on joining the Republic. Anakin would be meeting them there, along with Bray and Devan and the rest of the military that left for the mission.
They would be staying in their own apartment gifted to them by the Chancellor. As for the military, some would be stationed on the cruiser that left while others would be planet side.
"I would like for you to stay in the castle while we are gone mother. There will be plenty of security to keep you safe. And I know how little you like to leave the planet."
Lady Allamani smiled at her daughter.
"Why I would love to. Be sure to call me though once you get there. I would like to know you are safe and let me know when Anakin has arrived as well."
After that, it was mostly a blur for Ahsoka. There was more talking and laughter filling the room as they shared stories with each other. Watching, the women go on and on, Ahsoka couldn't help but to feel lucky to be accepted into their lives. She only hoped that Anakin would finished soon, so that the boys could make the family complete again once they were on Coruscant.
