Reunion

For a brief moment, there was nothing but dead silence in the apartment of Mako Metuki. That has quickly put to rest as Mako's mind caught up with what he was seeing and immediately lunged off the couch, "SCIENCE DOG IS REAL!" he shouted aloud as he pointed at the human sized dog man. Izuku screamed as well, grabbing Mako's arm as he pointed at the intruder as well. The human sized creature's face morphed into shock, raising his hands as Mako charged through the doors that slammed open, grabbing him by the scruff of his shirt, "Ok who are you?! Why are you here?" he demanded as Izuku ran after him, the green lightning of his Full Cowling bursting off him.

"Please wait! You misunderstand my intention Mako Metuki!" the Science Dog exclaimed as he raised his hands.

Mako's expression turned defensive, shooting up into the sky above his house, he held onto the dog by the collar of his shirt, "How do you know my name?! Or where I live?!" he demanded. He could have maybe, possibly have heard whomever this was out if he was approached somewhere else, but the fact that this being knew where he lived as well as his full name set off a couple of alarm bells in his head.

The canine raised his hands, "Please listen to me! I'm not here to harm you!" the comic book character begged. "Let me explain everything." He pleaded. Mako looked over him with a suspicious eye, if this….person….knew who he was then he easily could have attacked him at any point with his guard down. Instead he wanted to talk, and what was more was the fact that despite the show of force he was putting on this guy wasn't trying to fight him.

Mako pointed to the creature's jetpack strapped to his back, "Does that thing work or is it just for show?" he questioned. In response the canine activate the device, by pressing a button on the shoulder strap. When Mako felt him grow lighter he released him, "Stay right here, I'll be back in a minute." He ordered before turning around and flying back down to his home. Landing on the balcony where Izuku waited for him, still ready to attack, he looked inside to see Kali on the phone and Inko taking cover behind the kitchen counter. "Is everyone ok?" he asked.

Kali lowered the phone, "We're fine honey, I got Cecil on the phone, he says that if you turn on your communicator he can listen in." she informed him. Mako nodded as he pulled his shirt off, showing his Invincible costume underneath.

"Alright, I'm going to draw him away somewhere remote in case this turns into a fight. Izuku if he rushes back here without me? You attack him no matter what he says." He told his friend.

His friend shook his head, "Mako I can't use my quirk outside of school." He reminded his friend as he pulled his mask down over his face.

"Dude I'm sure Cecil can pull a few strings; he basically runs the Hero Commissions of the world so I think you'll be fine if I say it's ok. Just be prepared." He said as he turned on his communicator. "Cecil you read me?" he asked.

"Loud and clear kid. There's a construction site a few blocks away, workers are out for the day, perfect place for a private conversation." The government director advised.

"Thanks Cecil." He said before taking off and flying back out the balcony doors and into the sky above his home to his uninvited guest. "Ok I know somewhere that we can talk, follow me." He said before flying off in the direction of the construction site. Upon arriving at the building being made, he double checked to make sure no one was around before landing on the most finished floor at the top, "Alright let's try this again, who are you, why are you here? What do you want from me? And why do you look like my favorite comic book character?" he asked.

The creature rubbed the back of it's head, "This isn't how this was supposed to go. The truth is my species has observed you from afar, word came to my world that a Viltrumite fought back against the invasion of the Kresh and against the Viltrumite empire. After learning of you, my planet observed you over the past few cycles of your planet, and discovered that you enjoy this fictional character. We believed that this form would be non-threatening to you. Given the wide assortment of creatures on your planet we assumed you'd be welcoming." The apparent alien explained.

Invincible hands raised up in disbelief, "Buddy you're dressed up as a six foot tall talking cartoon character, what did you expect? A hug?" he asked.

The canine winced, "We are not….fully aware of the customs here…" he admitted.

Invincible sighed, "Yeah I guess I can't blame you for that. But why spy on me? Why come here and contact me and not like….our world government?" he asked.

Science Dog took an exhaustive breath, "Because Mako Metuki, my people are in great danger. Our planet is about to fall victim to a cosmic threat, and while we have advanced technology, we don't believe we have the means to save ourselves. We believe that you do." He explained, Invincible's head leaned back in surprise at the declaration.

"Ok, that last part makes sense." Invincible muttered to himself.

"Mako, try and get him to drop the disguise, I can run what his species looks like through our database, see if we have anything on them." Cecil instructed.

Invincible pursed his lips together, from the sound of what the alien was telling him, there was a legitimate threat to his planet and he was just looking for someone to help. "Look if I can help, I will. If I can stop anyone, or anything, from dying then I'll do everything I can to prevent it. But could you show me what you look like?" he asked before another question came to mind, "Actually how are you hiding yourself? Are you like, a shapeshifter?" he asked.

The alien shook his head, "Oh no, my species doesn't possess any such abilities, this is a synthetic exosuit. Observe." He said before tapping a button on his belt. As soon as he clicked the button, the entire body of the disguise seemed to deflate like a balloon before the fur and cloth slid into the chest compartment of a suit, revealing the alien beneath who looked to be a human sized ant….with blue skin and red eyes.

"…..ok not gonna lie, the fact I just saw my childhood superhero melt off you is probably more disturbing than what you actually look like. I've seen some crazy looking people." He admitted, slightly grossed out by what he had just witnessed. The insectoid's mouth, the only thing that resembled a human, smiled at the teen's sympathetic words. "Look, I'll help you, but I need to make some preparations before I leave, can you give me like…..six, seven hours to get everything in order?" he asked.

The red eyes of the creature widened in elation. "Yes Mako Metuki! That is acceptable." He replied excitedly, "It will take us a day's journey with my ship to reach my planet. I shall meet you in orbit above your home tomorrow." He agreed before flying away with the jetpack.

Mako nodded to himself, he needed to inform the school about his departure, though if it only took a day to get there then this might just end up being a weekend trip, as well as Melissa to tell her. "Mako what the hell do you think your doing?" Cecil asked him in his earpiece as the teen flew off through the sky. "I didn't say that you could agree to his terms, last time you went into space you ended up captured by the Kresh for a week." Cecil's stern voice said.

The Viltrumite rolled his eyes under his mask, "Cecil this guy needs my help. I mean he came all the way from his planet for my help, I'm not going to turn him away." He replied firmly. "I don't care if he's from earth or not, if there's somebody in danger I can't just sit by and do nothing about it when I can help."

"Mako you don't seem to understand our arrangement here, I assign you to where I need you to go. And last time I checked I didn't order you to go to goddamn outer space." Cecil shot back at him with a warning tone. "What if something happens while your gone?" he asked.

"Then you have like a billion superheroes that can handle it." He retorted, looking down at the streets below as he flew over them, easily seeing a handful of heroes on their regular patrols as he flew over a dozen blocks.

"And you're the only Viltrumite I can call on. I'm not going to call the jackass who has a power socket for a face to take down the Muller Twins." Cecil said rhetorically.

Mako still wasn't convinced, he wasn't the only heavy hitter on the planet, him being gone for a few days wouldn't be the end of the world. He could tell that the head of the agency wasn't happy with his decision, "I mean think of it as intelligence gathering. New alien species for us to befriend." He pointed out, trying to put a more positive spin on what this could actually mean for them.

"Or another enemy to capture you." Cecil countered dryly.

"Oh come on Cecil, you really think they sent one person all the way to Earth to ask me to come with them when I could just as easily snap the guy like a twig? Just so they could eat me or something? That's stupid." He replied dismissively as he came to a stop over his home once again. "Look Cecil I'm going to do this and you're not gonna change my mind on this one, I'll contact you as soon as I'm able to get a single back to you. But a few days isn't going to hurt anyone." He said before hanging up, tapping his device and turning it off as he descended through the air to his balcony.

After telling his mom and the Midoriya's about his encounter with the alien imposter, Inko and Izuku were somewhat befuddled by the entire event taking place as they left to return home, dinner being somewhat ruined by the sudden appearance of their uninvited guest. After that was taken care of, Mako called up Midnight and informed her of the situation, 'You're going to WHAT?!' his councilor and teacher exclaimed as he flew through the air towards I-Island.

Suffice to say she was not expecting to have her student call her at this hour and tell her that he was going to be taking off into space, AGAIN, for that matter doing it despite what Cecil told him to do. "I'm going to space to help an alien planet who asked for my help." He repeated, "Granted I can understand that not being totally clear." He added understandingly.

'Mako the problem isn't confusion it's-you're not allowed to do this.' She replied curtly. 'The entire reason you're allowed to do any work for Cecil to begin with is that he signs off on your activities while under his employ. If you're doing this against his wishes then your not authorized to do pro hero work.' She explained carefully.

"Only if I'm operating on Earth." Mako pointed out, "When I went to aid in the Mars mission, Thirteen explained to me that the international pro hero commission regulations are technically not applied to in space. It's why the people on our lunar station are allowed to use quirks." He reminded her. "And my flying license allows me to go as high into the air as possible as long as I don't interfere with air traffic." He added.

Midnight was silent for a moment over the phone before letting out a long sigh, 'On one hand I'm very glad that you're taking your studies seriously, and on the other I can feel the migraine already from this.'

"These guys asked me for my help, they sent someone across space to ask, what kind of hero would I be if I said no?" he asked as I-Island came into view. Gliding through the air he dove down towards the surface of the manmade island. Staying well above the height of the buildings beneath him. "It's a weekend trip, I'll go there, fix their problem, and be back in no time! Besides we finished up our finals and class on Monday is just so we get our results." He said with a nonchalant shrug.

Midnight sighed once more at Mako's caviler attitude of sidestepping laws like this, 'I don't like this Mako, but I understand. I don't really agree with it either, so don't expect congratulations when you get back.'

"Hey as long as these guys are ok? I'm ok with that." He said before hanging up, he slowed his acceleration until he stopped outside the building where Melissa lived. Floating down from the sky, he lowered himself to the window of her apartment she shared with her dad. Upon not seeing anyone inside the home, he pushed off from the building and reached into his back pocket for his phone, sending Melissa a quick Message asking where she was at, she sent back a reply that she was at the workout room.

Quickly altering his course, he arrived at the building where David worked. It was the same building where they housed the equipment he used to exercise. Landing on the roof of the building, he briskly made his way to David's laboratory where the magnetic weights were. Wonder if they're tinkering with them, well duh Mako why else would they- he thought as he opened the door to the room, to see someone lifting up the magnetic weights while Melissa watched.

His girlfriend turned her head to him and smiled, her sapphire eyes brightening upon seeing him. It made a small knot form in his stomach at the news he had to deliver to her, "Mako! Perfect timing!" she said, rushing over to his side and looping her arm around his. He couldn't help but smile at the small embrace, staring at her as his arm wrapped around her back.

He nearly jumped when he felt the room shake from the Magnetic weights being set down, looking over to the machine as the practitioner sat up, he nearly swallowed his tongue. Standing in front of him, six feet and four inches tall was a woman who had the build that rivaled All Might. She had long blonde hair that trailed down her back similar to Melissa's shade of hair. She wore a black tank top that showed off her massive muscular arms as well as a pair of cargo pants and boots.

"Mako, this is my Aunt Cathleen, Aunt Cathy, this is my boyfriend Mako I was telling you about." She introduced. The woman looked down at the teenager, still wearing his costume and his mask probably doing it's best to contain his widened eyes.

Mako wasn't one to be intimidated easily, his father had been one of the strongest heroes on the planet. And facing him down was probably the most nerve-wracking thing he had ever done in his life, and yet he came out the other side of that. So ever since then, whatever threats he faced as Invincible he would compare to facing down his father, and most of the time they came up short.

Even the invasion of Earth, while stressful, wasn't something that made him scared, this woman, however? Maybe it was the fact she was Melissa's family, or the bulky figure, or maybe just the inevitable talk he needed to have with Melissa, but when she looked down at him he felt himself gulp.

It lasted until a smile broke out over her face, "Aw look at him! He's so tiny and adorable!" she said, reaching down and grabbing him by the arms and lifting him up so he was at eye level with her. Mako admittedly let out a noise that, if Izuku was here, would probably be accused of making. "I'm Cathleen, Melissa's been bragging about you for months now, glad to finally meet you." She said in a friendly voice.

"Um….thank you?" he said before looking down, "Um, I can float if you don't want to hold me up like this." He offered, floating in place so that he was till at eye level with the number 1 heroine of America, while still maintaining his dignity….well the dignity that he had left after being picked up like a toddler. "Your Star and Stripe right?" he asked.

The woman smiled widely at the recognition, "Ah! I see you're a fan."

Mako grinned sheepishly, "Well yeah but I mainly know you from my friend. He's a big fan of heroes, and since you based yourself off All Might? He knows you too." He explained carefully, he didn't want to come off as someone who thought she was something like a cheap copy. There were a number of people who complained about that with heroes in general, saying that they lacked originality, but Mako personally didn't agree with that.

And thankfully it seemed Cathleen didn't take it that way from the bark of a laugh she made, "HA! Your friend has good taste!"

Mako turned to Melissa, who watched them both interact and meet with a pleased look on her face, "Ok are there any more secrets you're not telling me? First All Might is a family friend, then you're a D&D DM, now your Aunt is the biggest superhero in America? Do I even know you?" he asked, his tone was anything but serious and the smirk he had told her so.

She strode over beside him as he lowered himself down to the ground, the side of her hip bumped into his playfully, "I gotta keep it interesting when I'm dating you. I can't fly us to Hawaii or anything so I need some way to keep you on your toes." She joked back.

Cathleen's eyes widened, "You flew her to Hawaii?" she asked.

Melissa waved her off, "No, no, his dad did that with his mom." She explained.

Her boyfriend balked at her, "How-how did you know that?" he asked, he was fairly sure that he hadn't told her that story in particular.

"Oh your mom told me when I crashed at your place after…." She trailed off, the bright expression she had dimmed slightly before she regained it. "…our problem with Sinclair." She finished.

Cathleen's hands balled into fists, when David had called and told her about what happened, she was about ready to steal one of the fighter jets that her boys used to help her get around the states in such a short time. Thankfully by the time she got to I-Island, David informed her that she was safe and staying at her boyfriend's place while they swept the island for any more threats.

"Heard you broke the bastard's jaw." Star said to Mako.

His face darkened, "Wish I broke his skull instead." He replied, his hand wrapping around Melissa's shoulder protectively as he pulled her against him slightly, the blonde support student leaning her head on his shoulder in comfort.

"…..your alright kid." Star replied. "But something tells me you're not here to get my autograph." She said, noticing how his expression hadn't changed after her compliment.

Melissa turned to him, he looked at her, his expression pensive as he tried to find the right way to break it to her. "You gotta go do something again?" Melissa guessed, a small, understanding smile crossing her face.

Mako's shoulders sagged in relief before explaining exactly what happened to the Aunt and Niece. "….so you attacked your favorite comic book character?" Star asked.

"Look if it was actually science dog? I'd be going through some very different emotions than I am right now." Mako admitted before turning to Melissa who found the entire tale to be bizarre. "But I can't just turn these people away…..ok they're not exactly people but you get what I mean." He added upon seeing her lip quirk in amusement.

"I get it, and for the record I support you in this. I understand what Cecil is saying but your right, these creatures are asking for help, and as a hero you have a responsibility to do so." She said, Mako smiled in relief, glad that Melissa understood his reasoning. "Just try not to get stranded again. I only have so much funding and it's not enough for me to build a spaceship." She teased.

Mako rolled his eyes, "Ok you get that one, you're incredibly awesome for being ok with this and I promise I'll make it up to you. Look I gotta get back home and pack a bag." He said before turning to Star, "It was really nice meeting you!" he said as he raised a hand, backing away before turning on a heel and taking off from the ground and flying back the way he came.

Melissa watched him leave and smiled to herself; a small ball of worry was present in her chest but she quickly squashed it by focusing on the pride she also felt. Cathleen placed a large hand on her shoulder, she turned her head to her aunt who smiled at her, "I like him." She spoke. Melissa had told her a lot about Mako, and she could tell that she really wanted her to like him.

It didn't exactly help who his father was, but when she saw the work he was doing as well as hearing how fiercely he protected Melissa from the Reanimen, she was endeared to him before even meeting him. "And your mom would like him too." She added. The girl's smile softened at the mention of her mom, she didn't remember much of her mother, she was just a baby when she passed away and all she had were stories and pictures from before she came into the world.

"I think so too." She agreed as she and her aunt walked out of the chamber housing the magnetic weights.

"That being said if he ever hurts you I'll break him in half." Star added, Melissa giggling at her Aunt's instant follow up. "Hey I'm serious! I didn't get to be all protective with who your momma dated. And I've been coming up with my shovel talk for a while!" she added.

Melissa smirked at her, "And why didn't you use it?" she asked.

"….look I'm not the most….subtle…." she admitted. Melissa turned to her with an expression that DRIPPED with sarcasm.

"Really? You? The ten-foot-tall woman who can bench a train with her bare hands? Not subtle? No." she said with an astonishingly heavy accent of mockery. Cathleen's aforementioned arm wrapped around her and pulled her in close, picking her up off the ground and into her Aunt's side. "So mom didn't need you to shovel talk for her?" she asked smugly.

Cathleen's expression shifted from one of softness, to one of…forlorn, "With her? Heh…..no, she could take care of herself just fine." She spoke.

Melanie Bates was her sister, so of course she never needed anyone to protect her. Looking down at Melissa, the forlorn expression on her face shifted once again to a more weighted one, that she hid behind a smile. "Your so much like her."

Cecil pitched the bridge of his nose, standing in front of him inside his office was…Rex Conners….aka….Robot. Who was no longer confined to his containment cell. In fact Rex was completely healthy, his skin no longer burned when exposed to unfiltered oxygen, he could move around the world freely as anyone, and to boot he was a few years younger than he mentally was with his new body reflecting that of a teenager. This would normally be cause for a celebration, however Rex had informed the head of the GDA exactly how he procured this entire procedure. "….at what point did you plan on informing about this little makeover of yours?" Cecil finally asked.

"My original plan was to entice the Muller Twins with the possibility of parole if they cooperated with me. However before they could be moved to our prison they were broken out by Angstrom Levy who poached them." Rex explained calmly. The team leader of the Guardians of the Globe folded his arms over his chest.

"Once I located them and saw the location of their lab was in an isolated area, and upon observing how their cloning process worked, I realized how dangerous the initial idea was." He explained. On the chance that the Mullers had agreed to accept the pardon, they could easily have created a doomed body that would fail him after a short period of time. However with them believing that he was acting outside of the GDA, and not to mention outside the law, they had little reason to betray him.

Cecil's scarred face hardened, "Do you have any idea how far down shit's creek you are right now? You found two high value criminals that we've been searching for, employed their services to break international human rights violations, and didn't even bother capturing them after?" he asked in a deathly serious tone.

Rex's lip curled in a smirk, "Oh they'll capture themselves. The device blueprint I provided for them is a teleportation device I've created, but it only works one way, to their intended cell here." He explained. Cecil's expression did not seem all that relieved by the information, however his overall body seemed to lose tension.

"That doesn't absolve you of your other offenses Robot." The director said.

Rex's mood shifted, "Cecil please, we both know you're not afraid to get your hands dirty when it suits you. Or do I need to remind you about your project in the White Room?" he asked rhetorically.

Cecil's brow creased, and silence hung in the air between them with Cecil staring him down. He raised a finger, "Two weeks. Suspension. Britt will take over your duties in the meantime. You do not leave the base until then, and if you ever do anything like this again? You won't get a third chance." Cecil said firmly. Rex sighed but nodded in acceptance, "Now get out, Invincible is already giving me a headache and your little predicament isn't helping." Cecil dismissed.

Rex left the office at Cecil's dismissal, while he was content with his punishment and understood why he was being reprimanded, he felt somewhat irritated that Cecil wasn't at least impressed by his maneuvering of the Muller Twins. They not only helped him but were currently on the way to incarcerating themselves with teleportation tech that Cecil needed his quirk to preform…of course it also costed him about a trillion dollars to use his device but he was rich enough that it didn't really affect him.

Turning the corner to the elevator, he hit the button for his level where his new room was located, the doors slid open and he was brought face to face with Amanda. Monster Girl, in her human form, blinked a few times as he smiled at her. "Hello Amanda, I was planning on surprising you later." He greeted her happily as he entered the elevator with her and hit the floor to his room.

Amanda's head turned and stared on at him in shocking disbelief, they passed down three levels in silence before Amanda found her voice, "REX?!" she barked out.

"In the flesh." He said in a proud voice, Amanda raised her hands to touch him but stopped herself, Rex blinked in surprise at her consideration before smiling softly. Reaching up with his own hand he gently took her's and brought it to his cheek. He had imagined what human contact might feel like for decades now, and even after taking his first breath of unfiltered air he didn't know what to expect. "It's…..so soft…" he muttered to himself.

Amanda cupped his other cheek, holding his face in her hands as a smile broke out over her face, "You…..you did it…..oh my god you actually did it!" she exclaimed in excitement.

"And your next. With my body unrestricted like this? I can do so much more, and I work on your condition at my own convenience now." He explained.

Amanda looked over him and noticed something, "Wait are you…..younger?" she asked. When she met Rex he had the appearance of an early twenty something. While she was the same age, her quirk's drawback of making her younger made her look barely 19. Now she looked fifteen, and so did he.

"Well…..it's a long story but I basically got myself a new body, I had it grown to this age so…..well, so I can experience some of the things I never got to when I was this old. And for you of course." He added.

Amanda blinked, "You….you made yourself younger for me?" she asked softly.

Rex smiled, "Of course, why wouldn't I?" he asked.

Amanda pulled his head to her's and gave him a hard kiss on the lips. When she pulled back, she nearly laughed at how Rex's face was stuck in the position it was when he was being kissed. An almost sinister smile crept onto her face at a realization, "You've never been kissed before, have you?" she asked. Rex swallowed and shook his head, Amanda pushed herself against him, forcing him to take a step back until his back hit the wall behind him, Rex let out a noise he never made before as Amanda's face hovered within an inch of his. "Guess I'm going to be teaching you a few things for a change."

Rex felt his throat constrict as a number of emotions and sensations bubbled within his chest, "I….well….suppose….so…." he mumbled out in response, Amanda smirked before leaning back as the door opened.

"First lesson is tomorrow night. We're seeing a movie." Amanda said as she walked out of the elevator.

After gathering an ew things for his short trip to outer space, Mako hugged his mom goodbye, assured her of his safety, and flew up into the skies over where he had told the bug alien to meet him. In the lower atmosphere above the clouds the ship awaited him, it's design was unlike any that mankind currently had, the design more sleek with a design that looked more like a short helmet with a visor. The underside of the ship opened and Mako flew inside. Once fastened into his seat, the ship took off from earth like someone threw a rock across the surface of water.

With his bag in his lap, Mako began probing his pilot for questions, the first being the name of his pilot, Walki. Walki informed him that the planet they were going to thankfully had a survivable atmosphere that he could safely breathe in. Which checked out since the alien didn't need any sort of suit or rebreather while he was on Earth. He also learned that the planet they were going to was within relatively short distance from Earth. "If for some reason you were unable to take this spacecraft back, it's possible that you could fly yourself back to your own planet in what your planet calls a week." Waki explained.

Invincible, who had removed his mask a hour into the flight, rubbed his head, "Well hopefully it doesn't come to that but it's good to know. Last thing I want is to be stranded on another planet again." He admitted. After the Mars mission, he had taken some time to learn some deep breathing exercises from Thirteen at school during training, due to his enhanced lung capacity with a short breath he could hold his breath for a few hours before needing another. His father claimed that he could hold his breath for days if he wanted to, but Mako hadn't had any reason try that out.

But even then the problem with him flying through space was that…..it was space. Once you were out in it and unless you knew exactly where to go then he could easily get lost and die of suffocation. However if he knew the right direction of his solar system then Mako assumed that he could find his way to Earth with not much issue. That being said he wasn't going to have any deep space exploration on his own anytime soon.

Thankfully the hours flew by with both questions and Mako taking some recreational time to read some comics he took with him when the planet came into view. Unlike Earth or Mars this planet was almost entirely pink hued from space with some thin water lines he could see from space.

Descending down from space hover was where the real differences stood out, whereas Earth was a number of biomes with multiple climates, Mars had been mostly a sandy desert like the American southwest. This planet however was more rocky mountains across the entire surface with sparse vegetation. The city they flew down towards in the ship, if it was an indication of how the rest of the world's cities looked, was unlike anything Mako had ever seen.

"Wow…..this is so….surreal…" Mako muttered, looking out the window as they passed intricately crafted arcs with spires and bridges that had housing and buildings carved into them. The stone's pink hues made the inhabitant's blue insectoid bodies stand out even more, as a platform came into view Mako saw a gigantic crowd of inhabitants already waiting for their arrival.

Landing on the platform, the ship's angular landing struts reaching out and cushioning their touchdown on the ground, the ramp into the underside of the ship lowered with Waki led him out onto the surface of the planet, Mako's backpack slung over his shoulder. Upon seeing him, the crowd erupted in cheer!

Streamers of color flew through the air as well as launched confetti like substance that shimmered against the pink sky, Mako couldn't help the small smile that tugged on his lips. His reputation on Earth was slowly improving but he hadn't received anything like this yet, "Wow they are….happy to see me." He said, giving the crowd of insectoids a friendly wave while he followed Waki along a cleared off path that led to a large building that was carved into a large mountain that the city was based around.

"Indeed, some of these people have waited their whole lives to see you." Waki said casually.

Mako blinked in surprise, "Wait, what? What do you mean their whole lives?" he asked, following the pilot as they quickly approached the keep's front entrance where two guards stood place.

Waki turned back to him, "Our species are very different from yours Mako, while humans developed their extraordinary powers through evolution, we have something similar with how our people age." He explained briefly before shaking his head. "It'll be easier once our ruler explains everything to you, he is the oldest and wisest of us."

Mako nodded but felt his guard slowly rise up, he had come here altruistically, but that didn't make him a fool, and while that little fact wasn't threatening by itself, it did make him realize that he didn't know much about how these people's culture worked. Shit I really hope this doesn't end with Cecil giving me a, 'I told you so' speech or something ."he thought to himself as Waki approached the guards who stepped aside.

"Our leader wished to speak with you in private once you arrived." Waki told him, Mako nodded slowly as suspicion started to rise. Waki opened the large door to the keep and Mako walked inside expecting anything.

What he found still shocked him to his core.

"Hello son, it's been a while….your looking….well." Nolan greeted his son from the throne of this planet.

AN: YEEEAAAAHHHHH This one is BIG spoiler for the show but I'm not gonna just wait for a few months until season 2 drops to publish this XD.

This took a while to write mainly because…well I've been reading some books lately, listening to actually with audiobooks, and it's sort of helped me understand how to better convey what I'm thinking as well as structuring my stories better.

This also took a while because this past month I got my first full time job! I'm making money and I'm liking what I do! What could be better? Well….more money….and a job I love to do…..but hey I don't need to wake up at the crack of dawn to stock store shelves anymore. Instead I get to build stuff and listen to audiobooks while I do it.

Now then for the story, yes I did just put Stars and Stripe in here as Melissa's Aunt, both for fun and…..for a story reason…..but that's for later.

Anyway happy belated May the 4th everyone! Let's get onto some reviews:

TheRealD3lph0xL0v3r: Yeah Honestly I basically had Mako say everything that I would have said to Bakugo in that situation. He's a little shit who doesn't even try to get along with others and he never gets punished for it. Honestly I think I hate Bakugo more for what he's done then Nolan for all the people he murdered, but then again a bully is much more real than a imperialist spaceman.

That being said, I don't think Horiloshi kisses his ass, Bakugo's story kind of reflects what's wrong with the hero society, he's given special treatment because he's got a special quirk. And it's intentional since the first line of the show is talking about how not all men are created equal.

Messiah of Authors: Yeah same here, I love it when fics have the teachers actually address his shitty behavior but without just expelling him. As much as a douchebag he is, Bakugo is one of the more compelling characters of MHA.

Dragon king of the West: Yeah but even then how would Mako even know that's what it would take to snap him out of it. Honestly there's something I think someone later on needs to say about how the whole Hero system works and why it's wrong. I think I know just the person too.

Abarrow99: There was a version of this scene I wrote where Mako just takes off in anger, but after reading through it, it didn't feel right for Mako to fly off the handle like that to his teachers, espically Midnight.

Sarcasm Sage 626: Yeah this is why I love Mako and Izuku teaming up, Mako for all his talents isn't a strategist like Izuku is, and Mako's even handedness with Bakugo is more due to Izuku's insistence then his own. And yeah while Mako is probably one of the strongest in class 1A, describing him as a flying brick right now is pretty appropriate. He goes with his insitcts more often then what's strategic.

And I wouldn't say he was singled out, more that they know that he's kind of more in the middle between the Izuku and Bakugo thing. There's a reason why Mako keeps on asking Deku why he keeps trying to reach out to Bakugo when there's no reason why he would reach back. To Mako he's a lost cause, but Deku still believes he's not.

And honestly yeah READ INVINCIBLE! The comic and the show are both so good but I think the comic might just be a little bit better. The last scene here? That was a page turn reveal in the book on the last page! And Kirkman does that so good! Seriously I can't recommend the comic enough.

AutieFan123: I mean…..ok it depends on what your talking about, because if your asking if what he knew about what he did to his son? He wouldn't like him, but he's not going to compromise his mission by murdering this boy. And if you mean what he said to Izuku? He just wouldn't care.

Ben: There's actual, and I mean in real life, Science Dog issues that Kirkman and cory walker wrote, they're super good and each one ends in a cliffhanger.

Fan: Theoretically yes, and I don't recall him saying anything about there being allies there? It's been a while since I watched that scene though so I might need to re-watch it.

Guest: DUDE I GET THAT. Let me tell you, I was really uncomfortable naming Mako that for the exact same reason! But I reasoned that it's just a name, I can't let one character just own it like that. Plus if it really bothered me, I could instead think of Iroh's VA's name instead of the character. That helped me, might work for you, if not I don't blame you calling him Mark in your head while reading.

And I really do apricate that critique! I felt the same way and I'm going to be working on that going forward. I just want to try and make their interactions feel natural without coming up with reasons for them hanging out. I loved writing the big study session scene together.

And I should say this now, as of now my plan is that this story will go BEYOND the Manga somewhat. Obviously it'll depend on where exactly the manga ends but I am going to slow down where I can and give more time to characters.

Thanks for reading invinciheads! Until next time!
