Somewhere in Los Angeles.
We're back in a hallway, this one brightly lit. Again, we're treated the sight of photos lining the wall, dozens of them in fact, along with pictures, autographs, awards and memorabilia. All of which celebrate the long and storied career of one Conner Christopher O'Gleeson.
The man of the hour himself stands in the hall, new picture in his hands. He plants a kiss on it then mounts it on the wall. In his newest picture Conner himself stands proudly surrounded by twenty-seven misfits gathered from all walks of fiction. The cast of his very own slice of the reality TV pie, Total Drama Endless.
Conner chuckles to himself.
"Well O'Gleeson, you sexy dog you've done it again."
"Conner!"
He turns around one of his assistants, an Armenian woman with long dark hair has walked into room. She looks agitated.
"What is it Eliana?" Conner asks, not taking his eyes off the wall.
"What are you gonna do about that bug?"
"What bug?"
As if on cue a giant millipede scuttles past them.
"Oh, you mean Artie." Conner says causally. "I thought Jeremy was supposed to mail him to Wednesday Addams months ago, before the hiatus ended. Speaking of…"
He turns to the audience and grins.
"Hey there! Conner O'Gleeson here. Welcome back to Total Drama Endless. I hope you've had a good couple of months. We certainly did, didn't we Sona?"
Sona gives him an exasperatedly look. Conner chuckles.
"As you can see everyone's happy to see us back in the office. Lots happened here since we back, but you know, a lot more happened before I cruelly and callously dumped by contestants on the doorstep of a racist wizard boarding school and round off into the sunset. Let's go back and relive some of that shall we?
Last time we did a little recap it was right after the Rodney House challenge. We had spent four episodes with the Unusual Nickelodeon crowd and I was, quite frankly, beat. So exhausted was I, that I didn't even notice when that scoundrel the Chris Mclean behind Total Drama Cruise sent a literal demon from Hell to torment my poor contestants. Don't worry though…" He grins. "I got revenge on him recently during his little Q&A episode.
After that fiasco we made our way to Mobius so that we could be done with the Sonic characters once all for all. After her character growth the episode before Princess Peach was determined to prove herself to her team, but it wasn't enough as the Flower Girls came third placed in a tightly contested raid on Doctor Eggman's lair, and Peach and Markus's pal Fluttershy was forced to go home.
The real loser that episode was Rick Sanchez, who broke every bone in his body and had to sit out next episodes underwater race in Mahri Nui. The extra time to think did him good though, as Rick was finally able to able to bury his rivalry with fellow teammate Dipper Pines. Meanwhile Rick's absents in the challenge allowed some of the other Fact Hunters to try and take charge of the team, unfortunately the other teams smelt weakness. And after a combined effort by the Flower Girls and Short N Spunky, the Fact Hunter's lost their first ever challenge, and we're forced to send Perry the Platypus home, much to the despair of his nemesis Doctor Doofenshmirtz.
Doof's deflated attitude carried over to the next episode in Falconia, and it was up to his buddy Rick to cheer him up. Sanchez was well enough to compete in a wheelchair but he still wasn't anywhere near fully healed. So, while he and his buddies hit the town, Indiana Jones, Beatrice, Roy and Wednesday tenuously agreed to search for a magic potion to heal him. That went… let's be generous and say unsuccessful. In the ensuing chaos Beatrice was transformed back into a bluebird (Because let's face it you knew we couldn't bring her onto a season without doing that at least once) much to her horror. Fearing what her team would say she sought out her old friend Tomoko, who coincidently was in need of some guidance herself after being taking advantage off by the other members of Short N Spunky. (Who are going full time by the name of the Shorty Squad now) In the end the girls stood up to the local king and we're rewarded with statues for the teams. Meaning the Flower Girl's had to lose another friend at elimination. This time their strong and silent type Yae Saotome.
Their loses pilling up, the final four Flower Girls vowed to do better and by all accounts succeeded. Winning first place at the next challenge at George Shrinks's House. Nice kid that George Shrinks. Speaking of kids, Dipper proved to be getting a little to close for comfort for Rick. So much so the scientist decided to send him home personally with his portal gun.
The Fact Hunter's of course suspected something with Beatrice as usual being Rick's loudest detractor. When the rest of the team refused to back her up she outright quit on them, and went to help Tomoko and Shorty Squad at their next challenge in Hallownest."
Conner sighs deeply.
"Hallownest wasn't a fun episode, for me and me specifically. Probably something to do with the fact the locals kidnapped me. The challenge was put on hold as my valiant contestants did everything they could to rescue me… eventually. But not before Amethyst got herself poofed, forcing Tomoko to go from underdog to team leader. With Beatrice by her side she bravely and stupidly led her team into Deepnest. Quite nearly killing all of them before they by incredible fortune managed to fall into the safety of a healing springs. Curing Beatrice's bird spell as well as Bentley's paraplegia, which he had had since Sly 2: Band of Thieves so I'm told. After that operation: Finally Get Around to Bailing out the Boss was a go. And Lapis, Lenny and Tomoko had to face off against Princess Hornet in the Colosseum of Fools. To fight for my freedom from the Fool King who was DEAD THE WHOLE TIME! I'm sorry I'm still upset about that."
He pauses to take a breath.
"Where were we? Now Tomoko of course was knocked unconscious immediately, allowing her to reunite with her old friend Ramona Flowers. Together the two of them got Amethyst out of her gem who then proceed to kick Hornet into next Sunday, thereby releasing me from torment. Well I was so glad to be out of that hell I gave all three teams a pass on elimination. Tomoko however felt she had gotten all she needed from Total Drama and decided call it quits. Much to the sadness of her team, and her friend Beatrice. Who know felt more alone they ever. Especially since she now had to hide the fact that she stumbled across a cure for Rick's broken bones and intentionally didn't tell him. Oops.
That same night I slept soundly in my bed, bug problems over and done with. But they were only just beginning for some of the contestants. After Wednesday Addams lost her beloved pet Artie it was up for her, Athena, Bentley, Indy, Doof, Peach and interns Peter Quill and Yerdey to find it. Yerdey immediately complicating things by accidently sending the Arthropleura to another Universe! Actually worse than that, another Total Drama season! One of two actually. They gang split up, and after visiting the cast of Total Drama Infinite 2 did nothing by erode Peach's self confidence, everyone got back together and tracked the bug down in Total Drama Cruise.
Next morning it was time for the next challenge. This time in particularly infamous setting; Gotham City, where our guest host was none other than The Joker. Needless to say, many a laugh was had by all but the Fact Hunters, who were forced to reveal their secrets to each other. Rick in a truly impressive bout of televised content managed to weasel Beatrice's secret out of her, then reveal his own and completely destroy his reputation in the eyes of his teammates. All in the span of five minutes no less. And it wasn't even the biggest twist of the night. No! That went to the Joker decided to pick a favorite from each team… and eliminate them. Truly shocking.
But at least after that, we were at the merge and the contestants could relax a little. I even brought them to Hogwarts at let them enjoy themselves for a couple days. Actually they seemed so happy there, well I decided why don't I just leave them there and let them figure out the rest of the game on there on."
He laughs.
"I'm kidding of course. My stepping away from the role of host was planned for some time now. I'll be honest I'm going to sort of miss the gang in a weird way. But that being said I may not be as absent from these next episodes as a seem. After all, I've said It once and It bares repeating, nothing in these games happen outside my control."
Conner smiles mysteriously.
"That pretty much brings us out to the present. As you can see a lots happened, and there's a lot still to come. So tune in next Thursday and every fortnight after that; as we get this merge under way. And my cast faces the challenge of their lives."

Well like my now former host said, Total Drama Endless will be back July 29th with the second part of our Hogwarts challenge. Now that challenge is going to be a little heavy and it really isn't the place for notes like this so allow me to take a moment here to thank you all for reading this far. I put a lot of effort into improving my writing, and it truly means a lot to me how many people are reading this story now. On the off chance any of you having read his fic yet I can't recommend it enough.
Finally, now that Endless is both a year old and halfway complete now seems like a good time to announced that yes; I am doing a sequel. And yes, it will have an open roster this time.
With Endless 2 I'm bucking the recent trend of big casts and shrinking it back down to twenty contestants so there's only so many slots available. Comment on this chapter (Please don't spam my actual episodes.) with your characters or send me a PM. Final cast will be chosen by myself and the two other gentlemen that picked the cast of the first season. We're looking for a unique cast so try and stand out with your choices.
Don't feel limited to just Video Games, Anime and Western Animation. Throw me characters from film, literature, mythology, anywhere really.
