Immortal Diaries
Chapter 15
AN: Hello all, it's been a while. First and foremost as always I want to thank everyone who reviewed and sent messages my way regarding the status of this story. A lot of things have happened since the last time I updated this thing and not all of it was good. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that wants a reset on 2020 as a whole but as we can't have that I've taken to writing once more especially with this lock down in place. That said you guys can expect updates from me on other stories as well in the future. Also as a heads up I'm thinking of changing my name on this site but we'll see what happens. With that I present to you the newest entry for Immortal Diaries.
Start Now:
For Bonnie Bennett so far the summer had been going wonderfully, much better than she had actually imagined it would. She and Naruto were currently on something of a world tour giving her some much needed fun and relaxation. They'd started in Miami where they'd spent time on the beaches with Lexi, even Haulover Beach which was clothing optional. At nights they'd gone dancing in a few clubs before heading to Lexi's place where she'd been guided through a bit of girl on girl experimentation before Naruto would join them to get his share of the pleasure until the sunrise. During this time Lexi had displayed a surprise of her own namely that she had become a kitsune herself since the last time they'd met. After about a week however and tiring of the beaches in Miami the three of them soon found themselves travelling along the canals of Venice. Lexi returned to Miami after this while she and Naruto had moved on to Florence where they'd met up with Zach Salvatore and a young girl who was introduced as Sarah Nelson, born Sarah Salvatore, Zach's long-lost daughter along with her adoptive parents. The story behind Sarah's origin was heartbreaking and explained exactly why Zach had refused to ever return to Mystic Falls.
Naruto had apparently arranged for the family to meet Zach earlier in the year and after everything had been explained Sarah had decided she would give Zach a chance which explained why the family was currently staying in the Villa. Of course she'd been sworn to secrecy and Naruto had taught her a way to magically lock the knowledge in her mind so that even compulsion couldn't get her to speak about it. Unfortunately they'd been forced to briefly return to Mystic Falls due to an emergency which had kept them there for about two days before they'd finally come back to continue their vacation. Leaving Florence they'd traveled by road to what was previously the Villa Auditore now called the Villa Uzumaki in the town of Monteriggioni. There she had been introduced to a number of people not the least of whom was Naruto's eldest daughter Himawari. She was a Daddy's Girl and perhaps even the one the term was coined after due to her age. This was a meeting she'd both been looking forward to and dreading in equal measure as Lexi, Prue and Willow had all told her in no uncertain terms that if she truly wanted to join the family Himawari was the one she'd need to not only convince but impress.
Thankfully the meeting had gone quite well and somehow she'd managed to get that approval. It was definitely an approval as the next morning the place had been flooded and she'd got to meet a number of Naruto's other children and grandchildren. Vicki had also stopped by and while the two of them had never really been close it had been nice to catch up with her. They'd also been joined by Naruto's mother who'd taken her true form as Kushina almost as soon as she arrived, and his newest brothers Lucas and Nathan as well as Nathan's wife Haley. While Naruto had taken the time to get to know his new brother's she'd found herself quickly bonding with Haley due to their mutual love of music, both of them being singers. As if that hadn't been enough she'd really fallen for Haley's son James and baby Lily who was Karen's daughter both of whom were still only a few weeks old, though she wasn't alone as everyone in the house seemed to fawn over the babies. At the moment she, Haley, Karen and Himawari could be found sitting within a Jacuzzi leaving the babies with the boys.
"So Bonnie I have to ask, any thoughts about you giving me any grandchildren soon?" questioned Kushina
"In a few years maybe. Right now I have a seal keeping me from getting pregnant." Said Bonnie
"Is that more magic?" questioned Haley.
"No seals are older than magic, think of it like a tattoo." Said Kushina
"As for magic there are potions that can do the job." Said Himawari.
"But those have to be taken again every month. With the seal I don't have to worry about it for a couple of years." Said Bonnie.
Meanwhile on the inside of the Villa another conversation was taking place this one including Naruto, Lucas and Nathan who were also watching over the sleeping infants.
"I thought my year was hard, honestly I can't even complain anymore." Said Nathan shaking his head in surprise.
After getting the babies to sleep Naruto had been explaining to the two what he'd been up to since the last time they'd seen each other.
"Witches, vampires and werewolves, before I found out about mom I'd have never believed it." Said Lucas.
"Well luckily you two shouldn't have to deal with it at all. Even the supernatural community enjoys sports, Duke and North Carolina are two of the most high-profile basketball colleges around." Said Naruto
"Honestly I still can't believe I got in" said Nathan, which was understandable considering he'd always dreamed of playing basketball for Duke.
"Also I bought you guys a house on route of both schools which should only take ten minutes at most to drive either way. It's four bedrooms so you'll have more than enough room." Said Naruto surprising both.
"Seriously man, you don't have to keep doing this, you've already done more than enough." Said Nathan.
"This one is a gift for each of you earning your way into college. It's also something I spoke with your moms about before I did it." Said Naruto
"Before all that though Bonnie and I are taking a trip to Los Angeles when we leave here, I want the four of you to join us."
For Elena Gilbert the summer had definitely not been one that she was enjoying so far. Though summer hadn't been going long at all it was still something of a stressful time for her. In truth she'd spent almost all of her time worried about Stefan and as much time as she could looking for clues on his whereabouts. Damon had also been helping but according to him none of the usual signs he'd been expecting had popped up. When she wasn't looking for Stefan however she was working as she'd been convinced to take a summer job at the Grill by Jenna and as such was working part time there. As for Caroline and Matt both of them were keeping busy, she couldn't really blame them since they'd broken up. It hadn't been bad and they were still friends but whatever spark had been there before was just gone. Matt was of course busy with the garage while Caroline was apparently in a more intensive training phase and as such was more often than not completely exhausted.
Jeremy was also working only he was working with Matt at the garage across the street, something he seemed to enjoy. He had definitely needed something to keep him busy this time especially after he was shot by Sheriff Forbes. She wasn't really sure of the how even now, but at some point the woman had figured out that Damon was a vampire. Unfortunately she chose the same time he'd had the werewolf venom in his body to act. She and a number of her deputies had moved on the Boarding House. At the time Naruto had felt things were secure enough that he could step away for a bit, Damon himself had been asleep when he left. She herself had only just been arriving at the Boarding House when she had been grabbed and pulled away by deputies. Whatever had happened inside had woken Damon and he managed to escape before anyone saw him.
Jeremy had found Damon in the town square and taken him into the Grill unknowing about the hunt taken place. One of the deputies had spotted them and the Sheriff had raised right over. She didn't know the full details only that she had arrived and immediately took a shot at Damon and hit Jeremy. Caroline, Bonnie and Alaric had all been outside and run in immediately upon hearing the shot only to find her crouched over Jeremy with Damon nowhere in sight. Caroline had tried healing him with her blood only he'd already been Jeremy had already been gone. Thankfully someone had been able to get in touch with Naruto who had immediately returned, taken them to the witch burning site and after removing the bullet proceeded to resurrect him with help of the Bennett witch ancestors and Bonnie. While he could have done it on his own that he explained that would have resurrected him as a kitsune and doing this way allowed him to come back as a human. Jeremy was in a coma for a full two days before he woke up much to her relief.
At the moment nothing so stress inducing or worrying was on her mind. Instead she was currently panting, her body doing its best to take in much needed air as she sat on the steps of her front porch. She had actually just finished her daily run, something she'd started doing with her mom when she was still a little girl, though back then she had skates on when she did it. Today she'd done two miles, one out and back though considering how much her body was aching it was obvious she was more out of shape than she thought. Before she could do more than catch her breath her phone began ringing, looking at it from its spot on her armband and seeing who it was she decided to answer.
"Hey Care."
"Hey girl, your breathing hard what's wrong?"
"Nothings wrong. Just finished my run."
"Finally decided to get that tight ass of yours back in shape then."
"Well I needed something to keep me occupied aside from those short shifts at the grill, anyway what are you doing?"
"Shopping for the party you're trying to bail on."
"Well I never said yes in the first place." Retorted Elena.
"You were never going to which is why I planned it anyway. Oh, my mom wanted me to talk to you too."
"Did she find anything?" questioned Elena, her tone turning pensive.
"Nothing positive sorry. There were a couple of animal attacks in Memphis but they were legit."
"It was worth a shot. Still I'll call her and say thank you." Said the Gilbert girl.
"Well you can thank me by wearing something sexy for the party."
"I'll think about that." Said Elena laughing.
"I'm already shopping. Don't make me get you an outfit to wear"
"Fine I'll try to find something."
"Good. I gotta go I'll see you in a bit."
"Alright see you soon."
Hanging up the phone with a sigh Elena wondered absently wondered what Caroline had in store for her. Honestly she'd wanted to tell her to keep it small but knew that would just cause the blonde to make the thing even bigger. Standing to her feet she was soon walking into the house finding Alaric sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee in hand. After John died and with Jenna back in school Ric had moved in, and considering his vampire hunting experience Jenna had thought it was a good idea, even if the two were no longer together.
"Good morning." Greeted the girl.
"Morning, breakfast is in the kitchen." Said Ric causing her to perk up.
"You cooked?" questioned Elena.
"A little, just a light breakfast." Said Ric
"Is Jeremy up already?" questioned the girl.
"He left with Matt about 15 minutes ago. Any news on Stefan?" Answered Ric before asking a question of his own.
"Still nothing. I haven't heard from Damon in a few days though, so we'll see what he digs up." Said Elena
"Right. Go get yourself cleaned up so you can eat." Said the man.
"Ok." Said the girl turning to make her way to the stairs.
"Oh, Happy Birthday Elena." Said the man getting a half smile from her.
"Thanks."
Meanwhile the panting figure of Stefan Salvatore could be found standing within a chain-linked cage about 30 feet in diameter and nearly twelve feet in height. Stefan himself had undergone a bit of a change over the last few weeks as he'd put on several pounds and his once skinny frame was beginning to bulk up as muscle tone came in. Across from him stood several men, shirtless and wearing fighting trunks much as he was. The floor was littered with the bodies of several other figures none of which were moving. Turning his head to his left he spat out a mouthful of blood in the next instance he was leaning back just barely dodging a right hook before spinning off behind his attacker kicking him in the left causing him to collapse to a knee and proceeding to break his neck. As the other men moved in outside of the ring a pair of figures watched it all one in amusement and the other with a neutral expression and serious eyes. These figures were none other than Niklaus Mikaelson and the Death Dealer Selene. She was dressed well for the heat of a Las Vegas summer in a light blue tank top and a pair of brown shorts.
"Impressive, I didn't think he could become this good in so little time." Said Klaus.
"It's the benefit of Death Dealer training. Every move is one that is meant to end the fight as quickly as possible. One wrong move with a Lycan and you're dead." Said Selene not taking her eyes from the fighters.
"Even still. Those men are some of the best Las Vegas has to offer, none of them under the age of 300, Stefan isn't even 200 and despite being slower and weaker he's still winning. As far as demonstrations goes this says much about what you can offer." Said Klaus.
"This is but one aspect. Death Dealers are trained in not just hand to hand but armed combat as well. We are the elite forces of the vampire race, a military task force." Explained the woman.
"And how many Death Dealers are there?" questioned Klaus causing her to frown.
"At this point including Lady Amelia and myself one hundred."
"He's still going, impressive." Came a new voice.
Looking towards it the two were greeted to the sight of Kol Mikaelson taking a seat just behind them. Of course neither had been surprised as due to their enhanced senses they'd long heard him coming however it was always better to know exactly who was behind you. Taking the seat beside him was Marcus, the latter of whom had undergone a bit of a change. His red hair once worn past his shoulders had been cut short into a fade with short curls accompanied by a short beard that connected to his mustache.
"So that's Stefan. I must admit he doesn't look like much." Stated Marcus
"You should have seen him when we arrived. Skin and bones that one." Said Klaus
"Speaking truthfully we could all do with some body refinement. We're rather plain compared to the men of this century." Said Kol.
"My father mentioned that earlier. He says he'll be sending some trainers to work with us. We're not to eat or threaten them in any way." Said Marcus.
"For what need? We are amongst the most powerful in the world." Said Klaus.
"Yet we are not unstoppable. I think if he's reaching out to us this way we may want to take him up on the offer." Said Marcus. Klaus said nothing to this merely turning his attention back to the cage as ten more people entered and Stefan stood from his seated position as the prepared to start again.
A few hours later found Klaus walking down a hall within the Bellagio Hotel beside Naruto, or rather a clone of him. At the moment the two of them were heading for a meeting, one he'd been looking forward to for some time. This meeting had been something that Naruto had helped him plan after their first meeting in Las Vegas months back. To be honest he was glad for his mentor's help as his original plan would have taken much more time and most likely would not have yielded results as positive as this could be. Coming to the doors of the conference room they'd rented for the occasion Klaus paused for a moment to take in a breath before opening the door and stepping in.
Once inside they found that many people had already arrived and they were amongst the last to arrive, however considering he'd planned to be the last he was unbothered by this. Looking around he could see many a wary eye was already focused on him and on another person. This he assumed to be William Corvinus as he looked almost exactly like Marcus, though there were some differences. As he was standing it was clear to see that this man was about the same height, his hair while red had the sides cut short while the top was longer and slicked back and he had a short full beard. Sitting just behind him and to the side was who he guessed was Michael Corvin, though he'd cut his hair into a bald fade and had a slim styled goatee that he was obviously going to be growing into a beard from the stubble he could see was growing in. They were joined at the table by fourteen other people, one who sat at the table and one who like Michael sat behind and to the side. These people he recognized as the Alpha's of the seven major werewolf packs and their Beta's.
"Thank you all for coming." Said Klaus as he took his seat getting wary nods all around.
"Before we begin I must ask if anyone has heard from the Crescents, I send word of this meeting to them but there was no response." Said Klaus.
"We were just speaking of them. It seems a witch cursed them about two decades ago. As it is they are now forced to spend much of their lives in wolf form and only take on their human form on the night of the full moon."
The person who spoke was a woman from whose profile Klaus recognized as Ruby, the Alpha of the Poldark Pack. She had short cut brown hair and light green eyes and her arms were bare showing they were covered by tattoos.
"Very well, I guess we may as well get started then, my name is Klaus Mikaelson." Said Klaus.
"You're the Hybrid aren't you." Said another this one a male with long somewhat curly brown hair and a full beard that ended at the top of his chest. He was quite muscular and with his skin tone and structure was most likely of Samoan descent that he recognized as Leon the Alpha of the Deep-Water Pack.
"Indeed I am, the Original Hybrid. Across from me is William Corvinus and he is the Original of his particular breed of Werewolf." Said Klaus and William said nothing merely nodded his head at the inquiring eyes that turned his way.
"A different breed?" questioned another female this one with obviously dyed blonde hair and hazel brown eyes, Anna of the Paxon Pack.
"Yes." Said Naruto bringing the rooms attention to himself.
"Whereas you all received your wolf forms as a result of your ancestors being cursed, William became one due to his unique genetic structure he inherited known as the Corvinus Strain." Said Naruto calmly.
"To make a long short I was bitten by a rabid wolf when I was young and due several factors in my biology I mutated into what was the first werewolf." Said William.
"William as a werewolf is better in every category than you all, save one. When he first transformed he was unable to return to his human form and spent nearly 1,500 years in his wolf form." Explained Naruto.
"Wait your immortal?" questioned another of the females present
"To a point. Immortality comes in levels. I for instance was born immortal, I stopped aging before I bitten. That said I can still be killed. Very few have reached a level of Absolute Immortality." Said William.
"True enough. William and I are both Immortal, and while possible it would be damned hard to kill either one of us. That said both of us have complete control of our transformations thus we come to you with an offer. Freedom no longer will you have to suffer under the weight of the curse as you do. While we cannot make you pure human we offer you this instead, the ability to choose when to turn by your own will with nothing else able to force you to do so." Said Klaus
Hours later in the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia the 18th Birthday party for Elena Gilbert was in full swing. Elena herself was actually enjoying herself with a drink in hand as she danced with her friends. The party itself was being held at the Salvatore Boarding House something Damon had agreed to with Caroline before she'd even known about it. She wore a white dress that went to about her mid-thigh with a pair of matching heels while her hair hung down and was curled just slightly at the ends. She had been shockingly surprised to receive a call from Stefan earlier in the day who explained that he was fine and hadn't really hurt anyone and that while he couldn't tell her where he was Klaus was letting him call for her birthday. While the call hadn't been nearly long enough it had done wonders for her mental state just to know that he was alright and he wanted her to just take the night for herself and have fun, be a teenager for once.
Of course despite her plea to keep it small Caroline had gone overboard with her invites, but she couldn't really be mad about it because it was Caroline, she'd known what she was getting into from the start. Caroline herself wore a dark blue dress at the same length and was right there with her in the midst of the crowd, though she was dancing more with her than with anyone else tonight. In another section of the floor Jeremy was sitting on a couch having just finished rolling up a joint when Matt sat down beside him.
"Where did you get that?" questioned the quarterback.
"Henry in the kitchen sold me a dime." Said Jeremy
"What's with the brown paper?" questioned Matt.
"Blunt wrap, burns slower than cig papers." Answered Jeremy as he sealed it.
"So what's got you on your downward spiral? I'm pretty sure it's more interesting than mine." Said Matt taking the blunt and lighting it.
"Nothing major, just need to calm my nerves." Said Jeremy as Matt took a slow drag before releasing it.
"Seriously, that's it?" questioned Matt surprised.
"It's the crowd, I haven't really down well in crowded or loud places since I got shot." Said Jeremy accepting the blunt and taking a drag himself.
"And this place has a lot of both." Said Matt getting a nod from Jeremy who released his breath freeing the smoke from his lungs.
"Naruto healed me before they brought me back so I don't have to deal with any pain or anything. Mentally though I just need time to recover." Said Jeremy.
"I get that." Said Matt accepting it back.
Meanwhile Elena and Caroline who had been on their way over had stopped at the blonde's direction. As a kitsune Caroline's hearing was incredibly sensitive much more than any vampire or werewolf could boast of. As such despite the noise of the party Caroline had been able to make out the sound of the conversation the two boys were having and frowning changed direction heading towards the front door. Out on the porch they found the trio of Damon, Rose and Alaric.
"I'm every parent's worst nightmare. The chaperone teacher from hell." Mused Alaric taking a swing from a flask before passing it over to Damon.
"I always rather preferred college life myself." Said Damon passing the flask to Rose
"You went to college?" questioned Caroline in surprise.
"Multiple times, NYU, University of Miami, UCLA, hell I've even gone to MIT." Said Damon.
"Seriously you never struck me as the studious type." Said Elena
"It may surprise you to know I was once young and naive as well." Said the vampire.
"What about you guys, any plans?" questioned Rose.
"Well we're thinking about staying in state." Said Elena.
"Bonnie's grandmother used to work at Whitmore somehow she got us all in on discount." Said Caroline.
"Normally I'd say go out of state, but I think an exception can be made in this case." Said Rose.
Damon said nothing instead taking a swig of the passed flask in order to hide the grimace that came across his face at the mention of that particular State College.
"I saw the Lockwood boy in there earlier, I'm surprised you invited him." Said Rose.
"I didn't. Apparently he ran into Jeremy and took it as an invitation." Said Caroline.
"He does realize we still want him dead right." Said Damon.
"I don't want anyone dead. I'd be happy if he just didn't speak to me." Said Caroline.
"That's because you're a better person than most of us." Said Alaric getting a smile from the girl.
Elsewhere a black limousine could be seen driving down a seemingly deserted road in Cooperstown, New York. Within the rear of the vehicle Elijah Mikaelson, his gaze focused on the outside of the vehicle though little could be seen due to it being the dead of night. Beside him sat his new bride Amelia though her focus was inside the vehicle maintaining a conversation with the vehicles other passengers these being Rebekah Mikaelson and Selene. A pair of Escalade trucks, one in front and one behind escorted the limousine inside of which were a number of guards, all of them paying close attention to their surroundings. In the time that he'd spent getting to know Amelia before the ceremony Elijah found a kindred spirit in her. Their similarities went much further than just being meticulous with their appearance, honor, integrity and compassion for others were traits they both shared. Along with this not only was she the personification of nobility but beneath her veneer of nobility was the heart of a warrior. This was a woman bled, fought and killed for her people and would do so again with a smile.
While theirs was a marriage that had been arranged for the benefits of their respective vampire bloodlines and thus he could not say that he loved her, he would admit being intrigued by her. They spoke long and often and the more time they spent together the more he became enamored with her. He could see himself loving her easily enough, and at his age he was no stranger to it for he had loved and lost many as had she. Naruto had stated that it was if they were had been molded and shaped into a pair of twin swords. Separately each of them were sharp and deadly enough but working together they would be something special. Normally he didn't put much stock in the words of someone who wasn't family, yet when the words were said by a genuine god and more than that a man he held in high esteem how could he not accept them.
Looking up from his thoughts he found the group of cars turning into a driveway passing through a pair of iron gates that closed after the final car passed through. He knew that the drive from the entrance to the Mansion itself was a mile and he made a note to come and check the sights in the daylight.
"Welcome to Hyde Hall." Said Amelia as the cars headed up the driveway.
"I heard the place had been purchased from the city by a private buyer, but I hadn't considered that vampires owned it." Said Elijah.
"It had fallen into a state of disrepair, so I was able to purchase it in the early 1960's for much less than it was worth and was able to have it fully restored within five years." Said Amelia.
"And everyone lives on this property?" asked Rebekah
"Yes, it makes it easier to control everything if everyone was in one property, so we built the covens this way." Answered Amelia
"How many do you think will be here tonight?" questioned Elijah
"The council and Regents will all assuredly be here. Along with them will come the those in the High Ranks and the Aristocrats assuredly along with the survivors from the Old World Coven that were already here and those that have made their way over since we've been gone." Said Amelia
"Then Elijah should fit in perfectly." Said Rebekah.
"And how do you think you will fare?" questioned Amelia.
"I'll be fine if things are as you and Selene have told me it should be easy enough to mingle amongst them." Said Rebekah.
"Don't bother. The Aristocrats are useless sycophants, once they realize you are of equal status with Marcus and Amelia they'll fall over themselves to get in your good graces." Said Selene.
"Of course they will. It's politics, Viktor is dead and our family brings with it a shift in the power dynamics. They'll try to feel us out and see which way we lean on topics of conversation and if not that at least try to get a reading on our personalities and how we think." Said Elijah.
"Courtly intrigue was always your forte Elijah, honestly I don't know how you could stomach all of that double talk." Said Rebekah
Any further conversation was put to a halt as the car came to a stop in front of the mansion where they could see many more were already park. In no time the door was opened and Elijah was stepping out and to the side placing his hand out for Amelia to grasp before she herself emerged garbed in a deep red dress with a v-neck and hugged her waist and loosened as it traveled down her legs. Her hair was held in in bun at the back of her head allowing her electric yellow eyes to be seen. The next to emerge was Rebekah she wore a strapless purple dress and her blonde hair was down though was curled softly near the ends. Finally emerged Selene who was easily the most uncomfortable of the three wearing a black dress with a single sleeve, her brown hair had grown and was now hanging just past her shoulders. As the door closed behind Selene a new figure approached to inform them that everyone was gathered and Elijah took a moment to mentally steel himself before they were led inside, he had a feeling this may be a long night.
AN: That's it, chapters down. Initially I was going to have a pair of lemon scenes in here, one with Naruto and Bonnie the other with Caroline and Elena but changed my mind. That said this chapter was really more about setting up the future of this story than anything else but we are now officially into season 3 which will be a bit different than cannon obviously. Also I was originally going to wrap this story after season 4 but I think after that point I'll move it to focus more on The Originals show. Anyway thanks for reading and please review. Till next time, LATER.
