Been a while. Busy with the holidays so expect me to not update as much. Consider this a present.

It had been roughly a year since he came to this world, and he thrived on the people dying at this cliffside. Suicide has been an easy picking of mortal souls to nourish his infant powers as he grew in size. At first he was the length of a garden snake, now he was the length of a 7 foot python and was preparing to evolve. He was currently a [Primal Serpent], the first step of a species that would evolve into a variety of dragons. Feasting on the wildlife to collect nutrients, and the souls of people who jumped to their deaths here to increase his powers have allowed the next phase of his evolution to begin. He would go to his secret cave and begin evolving into a [Primal Wyvern].

[Primal Wyvern] is the pre-evolution state to develop a body of the western dragons known for their terrifying might and power. A phase that would decide his path as an apex being. But he had to be cautious, humans have begun looking around this place after discovering the aftermath in the local wildlife in his feeding frenzy. He's the equivalent to an invasive species since none of the wildlife in Nippon (Japan) could not kill him. He had to carefully evolve in solitude during the winter or else he might end up in some zoo or worse if he got caught in the middle of his evolution.

He'll be sleeping for several months to mature in his special cocoon and will be vulnerable until then. His cave was hidden by bushes and small rocks covering it so ordinary people won't suspect it as much. The only thing he had to worry most is whatever supernatural factions out there will do if they find his cocoon. All he could do was hope that the worst wouldn't come to pass as the first snow began to fall. Hibernation was starting for a good deal of animals and Naraku himself needed it to evolve. Coiling inside his dug out cave, his scales secreted a fluid that began to encase the Primal Serpent into a cocoon that was slowly pulsing with a faint power.

When next he woke, Naraku would not be happy.

"My queen, the cocoon is about to hatch." a creature spoke to its master. The 'queen' it mentioned was a beautiful woman, with wavy fiery red hair down to her waist, dull orange eyes with yellow sclera, and a dark purple dress. Her name was Queen Beryl, Ruler of the Dark Kingdom. The yoma, creatures she created all gathered with gear meant to subdue and capture whatever came out from the cocoon they secured.

Cracks formed, as translucent fluids leaked out when a snout punched through before retreating back in and leaving a hole. A single serpentine blue eye peeked from it, turning around as it observed its surroundings before a deep rumble and the eye retreated. The yoma braced themselves, sensing a buildup of energy as the cocoon began to crack and shake.

Then a surge of energy burst forth, knocking all the yoma back while Beryl raised a brow as the dark creature with renewed interest. Ever since that fateful day that destroyed the Moon Kingdom in the past, has she ever been blessed with witnessing a kin of the dragonkind. Black scales dripping with egg yolk, powerful muscles tightening in preparation of an attack, and a presence that drove a deep sense of primal fear in her heart. A wyvern, vicious and cruel with a streak a mile wide and a ravenous appetite that needed to be satiated if she were to ever to win it over. Wyverns were vindictive by nature, and retaliation was brutal.

"Fetch this creature meat, and only the finest!" she ordered as several of the yoma rushed to do so while others as the wyvern's eyes examined everything in detail and caution. It was an intelligent one, and it was judging what was and wasn't a threat to it. "Forgive me, Great One." Beryl said, politely bowing her head and gaining its attention. "I did not intend to harm you. My soldiers found you by chance and believed you would be of use to the Dark Kingdom, unaware of who you truly are." she explained as the wyvern growled.

"Did they? Did they not know of my magnificence nor my prowess as an apex predator of the land?" The wyvern did speak, lips curling up to show those sharp teeth made for shredding as the yoma surrounding it backed up in fear.

"Great One, your kind has been considered extinct for thousands of years. None have ever seen your kind since." she reasoned with politeness. She knew of the dragonkin's natures, their might and awe-inspiring majesty. She knew that if earning one's ire was tantamount of suicide of old reports of a dragon's rampage. Please them and they reward you, anger them…and suffer. Needless to say even if it was the lesser of their kin, wyverns must not be underestimated.

"So…I am the last, yes?" the wyvern sniffed the air, losing a rumble of displeasure that sent goosebumps up the queen's skin. "Is it because of those wretched girls from the other planets?" it asked.

It surprised Beryl, not expecting that but nonetheless answered to her knowledge. "Ever since the Moon Kingdom fell, the decline of the mystical creatures on Earth had grown until rendered extinct." It was all she knew when she reincarnated in the present day. The time when magical creatures like the wyvern before her were commonplace amongst the humans. Now, gone from the world and exists only in fairytales. A tragic fate even she did not want for such a noble species.

The wyvern howled, anger in its tone as the Dark Kingdom shook from its power. It was ready to thrash anything nearby to vent its anger when a yoma came in with fine beef and a newspaper. The headline featuring Sailor V on the paper.

Naraku was frustrated beyond belief, he thought he would have a chance to find fellow dragonkind on this version of Earth but now it was naught but a dream. He can never rebuild his kind now and must accept a newer outcome. Deus had granted him a revelation on this version of Earth while he was evolving, of the Moon Kingdom and the Sailor Guardians, Princess Serenity…and the Silver Crystal.

Now he understood what universe the Wicked God sent him into. He despised the future Neo-Queen Serenity and her title as a messiah, which in case of the churches that praise that blasted God, is a blasphemy when she ruled the Earth in the future. This utopia future that Queen Neo-Serenity caused created a [Pruning Phenomenon] to take place.

It is a governmental force set up by what he learned from Naruto's own encounter with the [Gardener] and [Winnower]. All universes were nurtured in a [Tree of Probabilities] in an [Infinite Forest] that the Gardener and Winnower overlook. The laws they made were simple, progress would allow the tree to grow and prosper. But when the branches of these trees they grow become 'unsightly', the Winnower cuts it down.

Those 'branches' are timelines from a 'main trunk' that is 'time' itself. The world of the Sailor Guardians is one of those branches, and are usually the ones to be culled due to the peaceful futures they tend to make. The laws of the Pruning Phenomenon were strict in two principles: if the timeline was to lead to a utopia world or absolute destruction of the human race, those timelines would be culled and the energy created from their destruction would be used as fuel for more promising worlds.

In this case for Naraku, he can change this version of this timeline due to his faint influence and the revelation Deus bestowed upon him. There was a way for him to regain his powers as well, to become an [Evil Dragon] since he is not yet worthy to become a [Hell Dragon] like he planned. A timeline written by a [Great Will] nicknamed [Black Dog] (honestly Naraku had little idea what these things were or the weird nicknames, unlike Naruto who did understand them) created gave quite the impression and relates to the task Deus forced upon him. What he saw there by Deus' revelation made a number of calculations run through the wyvern's head and a plan came to mind. Yet he needed manpower for this if he ever wanted to evolve again into a stronger form.

He looked at Queen Beryl who was wary of his next actions as the yoma holding that appealing piece of beef in front of him. "I propose an alliance, sorceress." the wyvern stated, surprising Beryl as he licked his lips hungrily. "Lend me your forces to aid in the defeat and capture of the Sailor Guardians and Princess Serenity. In return, once they are removed from the equation, whatever desire you seek will be yours without resistance."

It surprised Beryl that the wyvern knew of these things, yet then again, the dragonkin was more talented in mystic arts than she could ever hope to be to know about. But it served as a boon for her, for she got a powerful ally in her cause now. "Very well, Great One. It is an honor to have your aid in this endeavor." Beryl told him with a smile.

"Of course, you get your desires, as I get mine." Naraku agreed, his corrupted mind envisioning the Sailor Scouts caressing him and pleasing him with broken eyes. "Yeesss…" the wyvern smiled toothly as his ambition to evolve was starting to take form.

Author's Note Section.

Hello everyone, and thanks for reading this slowly developing fic. Of course there were a few complex lore bits Naraku dropped on you and needless to say you can safely ignore it for now.

But I will go over the Dragon Evolution thing just to clear things up. For this setting, only five evolutions for Naraku will be available.

Primal Serpent: A prehistoric snake that was born with great wit and cunning. Always on the move to survive a hellish land with many numerous predators, preying on things smaller than them for substance.

Primal Wyvern: A Primal Serpent that finally evolved. With two legs to walk on and a pair of forelimbs that act as wings for gliding. Fast and agile for their size, very violent and territorial. They develop an obsession for virgin women and treasure to hoard for themselves. A rite of passage in order to evolve to a dragon is to claim wealth and offer some of their growing hoard to the ancestors to be granted the boon of evolution.

Primal Dragon: An ancient dragon that knows the secrets of the land. Wealth comes to it in abundance and is capable of wielding formidable magic lost to time. Six limbs composed of legs and wings, four horns grow from its head and symbolize the wisdom it held after years of survival and evolution.

Tyrant Dragon: A despot with a crown of seven horns, and a crystal on its crest symbolizing the dominant presence this great wyrm emits. Even the Inner Sailor Scouts would be pressed when fighting this mighty beast.

Evil Dragon: The embodiment of dark desires unchecked, this evil cannot be cleansed of the sins it has accumulated throughout its long life. Scales with the strength of tenfold shields of titanium, four mighty wings generating energy to produce a mighty hurricane and unnatural lighting, a tri-clawed tail swift and strong as thunderbolts and a grip of a titan, and a blazing breath that heralds the end. Only a true hero could slay these mighty calamities and acquire formidable powers as boons. An apex predator of the highest order.
