Some new folks have come to their world and they need to help them return to their world, but they'll soon see that the world from this Spider-Man hasn't been quite good after how things have gone down for both Peter Parker and Felicia Hardy. Enjoy reading this new chapter everyone.

Chapter 963: The Spider and the Cat.
(May 12. New York City, New York.)
The royal Fortress is here, warpped itself away from the Pacific and is now located here at the Atlantic and closing into the waters of New York City, since something has gotten their attention on social media, two figures swinging around the tall buildings and taking down crime that is scattered around either New York or New Jersey, and other locations nearby and this has the attention of FutureTech and the Royal Defenders.
A dropship is inbound and it flies by the statue of liberty, alongside Murder Drone Designation J, and they are headed to where the message and signal has been detected. Inside the dropship are Lincoln, Linka, Luna Frost, Sam Livewire, Marcy, Victor and Leon, and they are prepared for what they are about to find.
Leon goes through the footage. "This is something else, I mean do we really think that this is the Spider-Man?"
"Well, this counts as proof." Linka shows them another footage and this one is clear, and it shows Spider-Man and Black Cat beating up some criminals trying to rob the bank and then the cops show up and watch the crime fighter's swing away, and yet they clap and they are grateful for them being here.
"This proves that we have a Spider-man here, he must've come through some anomaly or something, and that is legit Black Cat, just like in the comics of the other Spider-Man" replied Jordan. "We need to know more about what they seek, or they wanna go home."
Lincoln on the other hand has something else on his mind. "Another thing I have theorized... Perhaps something went down in their world, and I got this feeling that life for them in their earth is not doing well." they all remain silent. "What? It's just a theory, it might not be true."
Then Designation J calls out. "Guys, found them. Empire States Building!"
The dropship sees them, and Jack Cyber is the dropship, and no one is at the cockpit. "See them, and they are on the move. Taking chase." The dropship then moves over to follow them, and then the doors open and Luna Frost jumps off and she makes an ice road, and Sam Livewire rides with her.
The dropship then sees the two hero figures stop at a nearby tall building, with a billboard and then the dropship lands down and the doors open, and so the others come out and the dropship transforms back into Jack Cyber and then he transforms into an 88mm Battery Gun. Luna Frost and Sam Livewire arrive, and so does J and they see who these heroes are.
"Whoa. They are Spider-Man and Black Cat" replied Marcy. "Cool."
They are surprised to see who they are. Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Black Cat/Felicia Hardy and the duo smirk and chuckle. "Glad to know we're well known and we saw the news about you guys" replied Black Cat. "The Royal Defenders, good call for the team name."
Lincoln then puts his Shredder Blaster away. "Thanks." the others also lower their weapons and Jack Cyber transforms back to normal. "We didn't think the rumors on social media are true, but I guess they are and this sure is something we did not see coming."
Spider-Man then speaks. "You all know who we are." He then removes his mask and so does Black Cat. "We didn't even expect to end up in some other world too, sorry for not informing you guys sooner or earlier. We don't have working phones for this time line. The year 2022, and technology has advanced. Impressive stuff."
Victor nods. "Thanks, and I do need to ask... How the heck did you get here?"
They then explain to them and so Spider-Man let's his girlfriend go first. "We responded to a radio communication about Vulture and Electro who were on the move after they stole back their gear and other stuff, and we followed them to the old Oscorp facilities."
Spider-Man then speaks. "They were working for someone, but we don't know who. We followed and fought and where we were was more than just some random Oscorp tech facility, there was this archway thing and it looked like it could generate power."
"And it brought you guys here when the fight went awry because electro got smacked onto it and made the power come back online" replied Lincoln.
"That device was a portal gateway I presume and you two didn't know until you showed up here, right?" asked Linka.
Black Cat smirks. "You guys catch up fast, and the bad guys are over there."
They all see Electro and Vulture and they have been contained. Vulture is strapped with some metal wiring that is keeping him shocked and knocked out, and Electro is also contained, and is unconscious and powerless thanks to some special cuffs made by Peter Parker.
Jack Cyber goes over. "Electric dampening cuffs? Impressive work, and these guys are out like a light."
Spider-Man nods and smiles. "Thanks sir, I did what I could and managed to salvage whatever junk I could find from the nearby junkyard and it was not easy since these guys were gonna break out of the web casing."
"So, I used the special knockout smoke bombs I made to keep them in dreamland" replied Black Cat, and then she goes over and she kisses her boyfriend on the cheek. "But this Boy Scout was the one who knows how to keep the bad guys where they need to be, as always."
Spider-Man chuckles and blushes. "Cat, not here. Others are watching."
The others chuckle seeing this and they find it adorable. Then J picks up and carries the unconscious Vulture and Electro. "Well, we can bring you guys to our base, and help you folks return home. That is what you guys seek, right?"
Peter and Felicia sigh, and they don't seem happy. This alarms Sam Livewire. "Something doesn't seem right, and your expressions says it all."
Luna Frost then speaks. "We need answers, and whatever is going on, perhaps we can help... FutureTech can help. Come on, we're going back to the Royal Fortress to inform the others."
(The Royal Fortress.)
The others here are surprised, but the thing is... Martin, Neil and Sergei are not here. They are in a parallel world, dealing with something that involves stopping a Russian madman president from doing the same that happened in their own world.
They were told about where they are from, which Jack Cyber was able to find, the world of Marvel Earth-26496, and they are all surprised about what they have been through. The whole prison outcome and Spider-Man finding out that the man who killed Uncle Ben, is the father of Felicia Hardy.
But he forgave him, since he didn't mean to shoot him and he seeks to never leave prison so he can embrace his punishment for what he has done, and it led to a bitter outcome when Black Cat hated Spider-Man for not letting him escape, and then things didn't turn out so great for Peter Parker.
His best friend is against him because he keeps being the one who takes photos of Spider-Man, the one who murdered his dad, Norman Osborn, and Gwen is always there to console Harry, and the bully Flash Thompson is always at him, and so is Liz Alan. The only one there for Peter as his friend, and only his friend is MJ, and the Daily Bugle and what they do is never even easy to tolerate at times.
Worse of all, the bill that Aunt May has to deal with is just getting higher and Peter has been trying to find a decent and good job to help her pay the bills, since the Daly Bugle is still not doing well with how he should be paid and Peter Parker always gets the best shots that his boss needs to make Spider-Man an even bigger menace.
But then things turned into something else good when Felicia Hardy/Black Cat returned and she apologized for her words and actions since that whole prison battle aftermath, because she heard what her father told her and she now understands that she has to change and stay away from the robbing path he was on and to become someone more.
That she might not have superpowers just like Spider-Man, she did have the power to change her fate, and do the right thing and she chose that perhaps fighting alongside Spider-Man would be better than what she is doing. Because with Great Power comes Great Responsibility.
All of them are touched and moved by this, even J has some oily tears, and she wipes them off, while Jack Cyber is trying not to cry as he tracks down the world to send these two back home. But then Spider-Man tells them something they need to know... He isn't living with Aunt May anymore... Because she passed away.
That is the total shocker for them, and he couldn't afford to be in the house anymore, and so he let the bank take it. Peter has managed to take all the precious belongings, and Felicia allowed him to stay at her apartment, since she also saw Aunt May Parker as family too, ever since the day they were introduced and yeah... Apparently Aunt May knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, she said that before she passed away, that Peter should not give up and be there for the folks who need him the most.
Whether they hate or love him, or if they don't want him. They need him, always. All of this touches the hearts of the team, and even Designation J is feeling emotional from this. Jack Cyber sighs and he speaks to them. "Look, as much as good it would be if we can have you two stay here, that part is not up to us."
"He has a point, dudes" replied Luna. "We gotta ring this stick up to the guardian. He has to know and... Has anyone heard from Gyro lately?"
Marcy speaks. "He spoke to me a few days ago. I don't know what the heck is going on, but I think he's busy with some magic stuff and it might be serious." They all understand.
Lincoln then has an idea. "How about this, we come with you guys and see how difficult things have been in your world, and through that, perhaps we can have FutureTech talk about what else to do to make the lives you guys have try and be less of an issue. I mean, you guys have been through a lot."
"And from what we know, and heard about... the spider-man title is a curse, a curse that can be accepted as a gift. A burden with great responsibility, a title that cannot be passed on so easily. Kinda like, Tony Stark's Iron Man."
Spider-Man and Black Cat are confused. "Who the heck is Iron Man?"
They then hear Electro and Vulture groan and it means they are waking up, so Linka uses a special spray and they are knocked out again, she then looks towards Spider-Man and Black Cat. "There are a lot of crazy stuff you guys have not even heard of before. For now, we should get ready and get to your world and see what's going on."
Victor then speaks. "I'll contact Martin and see what he can do, even though he is very busy. I am sure he's willing to help. Besides, he can let Neil and Sergei deal with the other world thing."
Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Black Cat/Felicia Hardy are grateful for this, they might get a major change in their lives so it won't be so hard, and yet they know that the other heroes won't like what they see and hear, and they will understand how tough it has been for the life and times of Spider-Man and Black Cat, the friendly neighborhood heroic duo of New York.
