Whoa! Whoa! The Watterson's are here? The ones from the other world, which is the story I made called "The Day the Adventure Ends." So, what the heck is going on here and why have they moved towards Royal Woods, Michigan? Might as well read to find out more. Enjoy reading this new chapter.
Spells and Louds.
Chapter 966: The new mother and son in town.
(May 15. New Watterson Residence, Franklin Avenue Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Here we are, and we see the two nee folks who have now taken refuge in Royal Woods, Michigan. Nicole Watterson, and her only son, Gumball Zachary Watterson.
Nicole is done with the unpacking and she checks out the large kitchen and she sees how spacious it is. "Dang, this place sure has a lot of space. I don't even know how we can be able to cook with space this big, bigger than the house we were in back at Wisconsin. This is nice."
"Yeah, it sure is." Nicole turns around and she sees her son, her 13 year old boy, Gumball and he seems less than amused and he looks around and tries to be positive. "This is a pretty big place mom."
Nicole goes towards her son and she embraces him, Gumball doesn't hesitate and he hugs her back. "Mom, is this our new life again?"
Nicole sighs and she nods. "Yeah, it is." She then breaks the hug, but she has her hands on his shoulders. "But don't worry, my Gummy Puss. This place is for the best, a new chapter in life and if you think you're not ready to go back to school... Then I understand, heck I have this idea where you can go to school, but only when summer vacation is over. How does that sound?"
Gumball knows what she means. "Yeah, summer vacation is coming. But, I think I should at least take notes and try and sort out the best I can do with my education here. I just wanna keep trying to move ahead and look through what we can do with the rest of our lives here. Also, what the heck are you gonna do for work here, and are we in a new world or something?"
Nicole does what she can to answer her son's questions. "Alright, so some of those things I can try and answer, Gumball. I appreciate what you do, and if you wanna go to school... then that is fine with me, but if you don't feel like it, then I can send you to Middle School when summer vacation is done."
"Now, as for the whole work thing... I have a new job now. I am not working at the Royal Woods Bank here, apparently they need someone who has good skills in balancing accounts and helping folks who need some financial help and I can manage that."
"If you have any troubles being here at home alone, then perhaps you can make friends with the other folks here, I mean we did see those two girls earlier and they can be your friends, despite they seem younger and one is a little and creepy Goth girl, but there are others you can make friends with."
"Now for this whole other world thing, that is something I have no answer for. Sorry, Gumball." Gumball nods and then he hugs his mom again and she returns the embrace, and then she has an idea. "How about we go out to eat? There was some restaurant we went by and we can try out where we can..."
They then hear the doorbell ring. "Are we expecting some company mom?" asked Gumball and he sounds nervous.
"No, now we're not." Nicole goes over, and with her son following when she opens the door, they see the woman who helped them get this house. "Oh, Sasha. Good to see you, um what are you doing here?" She then sees the other folks with her. Lucy, Lisa, Lincoln, Linka, Jordan, Michelle, Marcy and the guardian of the realms, Gyro.
Nicole is confused seeing this, while her son, Gumball seems nervous. "What is going on here?"
The Guardian then confronts Nicole and he responds. "We need to talk, because apparently you two are not from this world, and we need answers."
(Later.)
The group of Gyro, Michelle, Marcy, Lucy, Lisa, Lincoln, Linka, Jordan and Sasha are at the living room and are drinking some tea, and some coffee and they have been told by Nicole about what had happened where she was from, and her son Gumball is also helping share what happened, and yet deep down he seems hurt when he says what has gone down.
Nicole had to comfort her son, it brought back some bad times and the others understand, heck Lincoln and Linka understand what Gumball is going through and they are surprised by the whole events that have brought Nicole and Gumball to the life they have now.
The loss of their family: Richard, Anais, Darwin and the parents of Richard, the heart breaking moments when they felt like they were seeing the deceased family members again, the depression Gumball was going through and the many major changes he has brought to himself.
Then came the whole part where they moved away, to Wisconsin and all thanks to the parents of Doctor Nicole Watterson, and then came the part where they had to restart they're lives there and then try and make the best they can, and all of this is something hard for the mother and her son.
They then explained to them about what happened after that, apparently Nicole's parents, also known as Gumball's maternal grandparents were killed in a shooting at the bank, and the whole thing has turned into pure rage for Nicole that she ordered a manhunt for those men and it worked.
The criminals were found, sentenced to jail and reported dead in jail after some bigger and meaner inmates beat them to death. Nicole didn't feel home here anymore, and neither did Gumball. They both feared that they could be killed next and they needed to leave.
Nicole then informed them that she called for a better home and for some reason her phone glitched and she picked up a signal from a town called Royal Woods, located in Michigan and she accepted any house which is good for herself and her son, so they can get away from the troubles that might come after them.
Nicole then tells them that when they finished packing what they needed and then left, they went through this ominous fog outside of the town where they recently resided, and then when they came through the fog, they were outside of Royal Woods, and they thought nothing of what they went through and thought it was all normal and this alarms Gyro.
"Huh, that sounds awfully familiar."
Lincoln knows this. "This sounds like the same thing our counterparts talked about, the older versions of my mom and Sam, and with their infant son, Lincoln. This is way super freaky and yet kinda makes sense."
Nicole is about to speak, but then Gumball asks. "Are you guys going to send us back to our world?"
They can tell that this blue cat kid is still hurt after everything he has experienced, and then the guardian speaks. "Well, fate has a way to make things into something we least expect it, and I can tell that you two being here and starting over is a clear sign of that. So, I will not send you lot back to your world. You can stay if you want."
He then gets up. "I need to get going, I gotta deal with something else from another world and what not, see you all around and Watterson's... Don't do anything stupid, since Gumball here is changed from his troublesome and weird ways and you Nicole... I am concerned if you might still have anger issues."
Nicole sighs. "I fear that I might still have some, but I am doing the best I can to not show it more often, it would hurt someone in the end if I don't keep it in check." The guardian then takes his leave.
Lucy then speaks. "We're sorry you guys went through that. That sounded dark."
"Perhaps there is a true meaning to you both being here, to start over and let go of the past" replied Lisa.
"She kinda makes sense there" replied Marcy. "Seems fitting you guys do enjoy the new life here, and away from the hustle and bustle of what went down, something to see through for the future."
"We're all glad you guys are here, and living life to something else" replied Michelle. "Seems right for you to make the choice and move, and we are truly sorry for what you all had to endure, it sounded very hard to handle."
Lincoln, Jordan and Linka go over towards Gumball and then they speak. "Welcome to Royal Woods, Michigan Watterson's."
Nicole and Gumball are pleased to hear this, they may have made some new friends already, and they can tell that whatever happens next for them both, is just the beginning. Gumball then asks. "Can we have lunch now mom?"
Lincoln smirks. "We can treat you guys to some lunch, and invite the other friends of tours so you can get to know them, and then perhaps see how much fun you can have in this whole new world."
Gumball seems excited and the smile on his face is something Nicole hasn't seen in a long time and she feels like... That she did make the right choice, and now they can both have a brave new future, and new life here. To move forward and keep living, in the name of those they have lost.
