Jim stood just inside the boarding ramp. He could see his counterpart out in the hangar bay. He looked very intimidating in person. "Well, Mac, you old scoundrel!" Kirk said with a voice that sounded like it was also enhanced, being deeper and louder. He stared at Michael as Mac approached with her. "I've been waiting a long time for this! Your resistance will soon be discovered and eliminated."

"You'll never be rid of us all!" Michael replied.

"You will not be so smart and clever soon!"

Jim could see the anger on his evil counterpart's face. He watched as they took her out of the hangar bay. "Here we go," he whispered to the others.

They moved over to the hangar door. There was nothing in the corridor outside the bay, so they went out and headed to the left which would go around to the populated area of the station. They could see tiberium imbedded in areas of the station already. "Jim, are you sure we can do this?" Bones asked.

"We have to," Jim replied. "It's our only way back home. We have to find where their ship is attached to this station."

"Admiral, large ships usually attach on the other side," Spock pointed out.

"I know that. We'll see how busy it is around that ship. They can't detect us."

"I'm not sure that's enough," Solan declared. "They're gonna know we don't belong there."

"We'll improvise."

"As we usually do," Ajah said.

"I'll try to help guide us around everyone," Anakin said. "Don't worry."

Jim could see that Anakin's eyes still glowed, and Anakin seemed to sense that he was looking at him. "I'm fine, Admiral," Anakin said. "As a matter of fact, I haven't had such clarity in my entire life."

"I'm glad to hear that," Jim replied. "What exactly happened?"

"I don't think we have time to discuss all that right now."

They rounded a corner and came into what looked like a long corridor with several entrances along it. Jim looked into the first one which appeared to be a dark bar. "How do they see each other in there?" he asked as they walked by. "As dark as it is in this corridor, it looks like they couldn't see in there at all."

"Remember, she said they're sensitive to light," Bones said.

"I know. Maybe we can use the sensitivity to our advantage. Turn off the lights in your helmet. Maybe no one will recognize us or suspect anything."

They turned the lights off, and Jim had to admit he could see better out in front of him without the light on around his face. "Maybe we should add night vision to this visor on the helmet," he said.

"That may be a consideration, Jim," Spock replied. "Perhaps their enhancement with the tiberium gives them acute vision and they can see in very low light."

"You could be right. You all have your lights, so if we have to, we'll use them."

As they walked down the corridor, they did get a few glances, but no one thought they were incredibly strange since there were many strange beings on the station. They continued down the corridor. "Don't you think we might ought to go into one of these bars to see if we can pick up any information?" Solan asked.

Jim had thought of that but he was not sure he wanted everyone separated. "I don't know," he said.

"We might find out something important."

Jim was silent a moment. "Alright, you and Helek go, but don't get separated and don't draw too much attention to yourselves," he said. "And stay in touch. We might have to make a hasty retreat when we find that tacitus. I'm not sure this is a good idea. How would you get aboard the ship if we're already on?"

"I think it would draw less attention if there weren't so many of us."

"I must agree, Admiral," Spock said. "Perhaps more of us should look for information while only two or three go aboard the ship. If we find out any valuable information, we can send you a message."

"Make sure you make it a silent message."

"Yes, Sir."

"I want Anakin and Ajah with me. You and Bones go to one place, and let Solan and Helek go to another. Spock, if you sense anything wrong, get everyone together and get back to the ship."

"Jim, I thought we were going to try and take this ship over," Bones said. "How can we do that with only the three of you?"

"I'm thinking, Bones. If we can get that tacitus without anyone knowing it, we wouldn't need to take the ship. If we have trouble, we can contact you."

"I don't like this. I'd rather be with you than sitting around in a bar."

Jim was silent a moment. "Okay. Spock, you and Helek will go. The rest of us will get aboard the ship. If anything happens, you two will be our Ace in the hole."

"Yes, Admiral," Spock replied.

"Alright, let's go."

Solan had wanted to scour those bars but he would go along with what Jim wanted. He could not continue to argue. They went on toward the docking bays. Jim stopped as they arrived at the corridor that would lead to a docking port. He looked up and down the corridor but saw no one. "Surely they don't use the same one we always used when we went to Caleb Four," he remarked.

"What?" Solan asked.

"Nothing."

They continued down the corridor and soon came to a port but it was closed so they went on. Jim saw the next port soon, and he could see someone standing outside it as a guard. "That may be it," Jim said.

"How do we get past that guard?" Solan whispered.

"Leave that to me. If we can't convince him to let us in, we'll get in another way."

"Admiral, let me do it," Anakin said. "I can convince him without laying a hand on him."

Jim glanced at him. "Good. Go ahead."

They walked up to the guard. "Excuse me," Jim said. "Is this the port to the ISS Enterprise?"

The guard glared at him, which Jim wondered if that was his normal look. "Who wants to know?" he asked.

"Me. I thought I was the one who asked."

"Yeah. Why do you want to know?"

"We want to go aboard," Anakin said, waving his hand slightly.

"So you want to go aboard," the guard repeated.

"And you're going to let us and no questions asked."

"Go right aboard," the guard said. "No questions from me."

Jim and the others walked on. "This can't keep working," Solan whispered.

"The Force always works," Anakin replied.

"You have to trust someone sometimes, Solan," Jim said.

They walked through the port tube and into the ship. Jim was surprised that there were no guards on the ship. "Okay, Bones, you have Cabal in your kit," he said. "Get him out."

Bones opened the case he was carrying and turned on the portable computer. Cabal's face appeared. "So, can you detect the tacitus?" Bones asked.

Cabal was quiet a moment except for a tiny electronic sound. "I believe I have found it," he said with an electronic voice.

"Show us where it is."

Cabal brought up a map of the ship and they could see a blinking light on the screen showing where the tacitus was located. "That's in the cargo hold," Jim whispered.

"Most likely encased in some secure box or something," Cabal replied.

"Can you get into the ship's systems and create distractions until we find it?"

"I only need an entrance point."

"We'll find one. I know just where to look."

They walked down the next corridor making sure to look for anyone on the ship. Jim thought most everyone must be on shore leave. They found a Jefferies tube and crawled in. "There should be a computer port in here," Jim said.

"I know exactly where there's one," Solan declared.

They soon came to the computer port and hooked the computer Bones carried to it so that Cabal could enter. Once inside, he appeared on the screen. "I am in," he said.

"Good," Jim said. "Learn everything you can, but be careful. We wouldn't want you to get corrupted."

"I assure you, I will not."

"Good. While you're doing that, we will find the tacitus."

"They will be distracted, Admiral Kirk."

Jim thought he could not get used to having Cabal on his side, but they crawled out of the tube and headed for the cargo hold. "I can't believe they're keeping something like that in the cargo hold," he said.

"They probably don't expect their counterparts from another universe to come in here and steal it," Bones declared.

"I guess not, so we need to be careful."

As they came around the next corner, they could see someone walking down the next corridor. Jim jerked his head back hoping they would turn the other way or not notice them. They heard the footsteps get closer and then move the other way. Jim looked around the corner again and could see the other person retreating. "Come on," he whispered.

They hurried down the next corridor and after a few minutes, they came to the cargo hold. "Don't you think this is going too easy?" Bones asked as he was keeping watch while they searched for the tacitus.

"Why do you have to ask that?" Ajah asked.

"Because we haven't gotten into trouble, that's why."

"Perhaps they are on shore leave and do not know we are aboard their ship."

"Maybe, but when have you ever known our own Admiral Kirk to just leave the ship and not have a way of knowing if someone went aboard unauthorized?"

Ajah scowled at that. "Never," he said. "You think they know we're here?"

"I hope not."

"Perhaps I should alert Admiral Kirk."

Jim, Solan, and Anakin were searching for the tacitus by using the map Cabal had given them. "It should be right here somewhere," Jim said.

"What do you keep something like that in?" Solan asked.

Jim held the tricorder over a small crate in the back of the hold. "Get this open," he said as he looked toward the entrance of the hold. "Are you expecting someone to find us?" Anakin asked.

"I don't know," Jim said. "This just seems too easy."

"Then I'll go and keep watch."

Solan opened the crate they had found, and inside it was a silver, metal case. He opened it, and the tacitus was there, but it was not quite what they had expected. It was a square, clear box with what looked like a swirling golden light that looked somewhat like a matrix. "I guess that's it," Jim said. "Close it, and let's get out of here."

Solan closed the case and picked it up as he and Jim started toward the exit. Jim was starting to feel a feeling of urgency. "Now, where do we find Michael?" he asked. "Did they bring her to the Enterprise or did they keep her on the station?"

"Can we ask Mac?" Solan asked.

"I don't think so. We'll just have to get to the brig on this ship to see if she's there."

They left the cargo hold and headed for the brig…

Mac sat with the evil Jim Kirk sharing the chech'tluth. "So, Mac, how did you catch Michael Burnham?" Kirk asked as he poured another glass. "She always seems to keep herself surrounded."

"I penetrated her inner circle," Mac said. "I made her think I had changed to the resistance."

"And she believed that?"

"She's here, isn't she?"

Kirk laughed and held up his glass. "So she is! To Michael Burnham. May she suffer long!"

Mac laughed as he thought he would like nothing better than to relieve this galaxy of this evil being. After all, he knew there was a bounty. He pressed the button on his communicator…

Jim felt his communicator vibrate. "Mac's signal," he said. "We need to find Michael and get off this ship."

Helek and Spock sat in the bar listening and watching. "I do not see anyone familiar," Spock said.

"Neither do I," Helek replied. "If they were on shore leave, wouldn't you think we'd see someone familiar here?"

"Perhaps. However, I do not know their habits." Spock was concerned that there was no one in that bar that looked like they would be from the ISS Enterprise. "Perhaps we should visit another bar."

"I'm with you. This is kinda worrisome."

Spock and Helek went down to the next bar, and yet they saw no one there either. "Spock, if there's no one from that ship on this station besides the evil Jim, then where are the others?" Helek asked.

Spock sat there a moment. "I do not want to draw attention to Jim by contacting him," he said.

"But what if they're in danger?"

Spock took out his communicator. He pressed the red button on it that would alert Jim that something was not right…

Jim saw the red light on his communicator begin to flash. He stopped as they were at the end of another corridor. "Something's wrong," he said.

Solan and Bones looked at the communicator. "What does that mean?" Bones asked.

"It's from Spock."

Anakin stood reaching out with the Force. "There is a strange feeling in this universe," he said. "I don't know if it's because it's overrun with evil or because the Force is different here, but I feel something coming."

"What do you mean you feel something coming?" Jim asked.

"It's hard to explain." Anakin looked at Jim. "They know."

"Know what?"

"They know it's a trick. I don't know how they know, but they know."

Bones looked at Jim. "What do we do now?" he asked. "How do we get out of here? If they know, they probably don't intend for us to leave."

Jim was thinking. "We have to get Michael out of there," he said. "We can't just leave her."

"We don't even know that she's here."

"We have to see."

Jim opened his communicator. "Spock," he said.

"Admiral," Spock said. "I believe something is wrong."

"You're right. I think they know we're here. Get in touch with the Enterprise and tell them to get ready to get us out of here."

"Yes, Admiral."

"You and Helek stay out there. Get back to the ship when it gets in range. We have to get Michael out of here."

"Are you certain that she is aboard the ship?"

"No, but we have to try and see."

"We will be on the lookout."

Jim and the others began hurrying toward the brig. "I know they can't track us," he said. "How would they know we're here?"

"All I can guess is that they knew before we got here," Solan replied. "They must know Mac is fooling them. What do we do about that?"

"I don't know."

They finally came to the brig, and there were two guards there. Jim stunned both of them and they went into the brig. Michael was not there. "She's not even here," Jim said. "Let's get out of here."

They left the brig, but as they got out into the corridor, they met the evil Spock. He looked rather puzzled when he saw them. "Captain Kirk," he said. "Or an impostor."

"It's Admiral Kirk," Jim replied. "And I want to know where you're keeping Michael Burnham."

"That is something you will not find out. Surrender now, or you will be eliminated."

"I don't think so. Cabal!"

Suddenly, the lights went out in the ship. Jim turned his wrist light on, and shined it right at their enemies, who backed up covering their eyes. "Stun them!"

They stunned all of them and then ran. "Let's get out of this ship," Jim said. "We have to keep that tacitus."

As they ran, they met up with more resistance. Jim grabbed the bat'leth on his back, which he always carried on missions now. He had even learned more about using it from his Klingon friends. He swung it at the ones challenging them while Bones and the others blinded them. "Well, that wasn't too hard," Bones said as they were running again.

"Don't say that," Solan said. "No telling what we might run up on next."

"Shut up!"

Around the next corner were brutes. "See?" Bones said.

They shined their lights on the brutes, but it was not enough to deter them. Jim swung the bat'leth and took out two of them, while Solan took out two more with his blaster. Bones was carrying a phaser rifle and took out his share, and Anakin took out the others with his lightsaber. Then they ran again. "We can't defeat everyone on this ship," Bones said.

"We're gonna be trying," Jim replied.

Evil Kirk got a written message from Spock. He looked across the table at Mac who seemed to be disinterested. "So, where have you been keeping yourself?" Kirk asked. "You haven't been in touch much lately."

"I've been searching for Michael," Mac replied. "I didn't want to be in touch."

"Solan didn't say he had seen you."

"I don't exactly have a liking for Solan."

"Solan is pretty loyal if the price is right."

"Sure, but he'd be loyal to anyone who has the right price. You best watch him."

"He wouldn't betray the empire."

"Are you sure?"

"Why don't we ask him?"

Mac frowned as Solan walked in. Solan had a scar on the right side of his face that looked like it had yellow tiberium crystals imbedded in it. He also had a yellow tiberium crystal that was shaped like a diamond imbedded in the middle of his chest as he was wearing what looked like two wide brown leather belts crisscrossing his chest with the crystal between them. "Long time, no see, Mac," Solan said.

Mac had a feeling Solan had seen him, and he was in deep trouble as was Michael. "What brings you here, Solan?" Mac asked. "I figured you'd be out looking for your next victim."

"I was until he showed up here."

Mac frowned. "What do you mean?"

Kirk stood up. "We know what you've been doing, Mac," he said. "You betrayed us, and we know all about your friends aboard my ship. They won't be escaping and neither will your friend, Michael."

Mac stood up. "You're accusing me of betraying the empire?" he asked. "What proof do you have?"

"Solan followed you to the resistance hideout on Titan. We'll take care of that too now that you led us right to it… but first of all, I'll show you what we do to traitors."

Mac suddenly activated his helmet on his electro-suit and then threw a stun grenade at the two. His eyes were shielded from the light, but Kirk and Solan had no such luck. While they were trying to recover from that, Mac ran out of the room. He grabbed his communicator. "Admiral!"

Jim was in the middle of a battle when he heard his communicator chirp at him. He could not answer. He knew Mac must be trying to contact them.

Mac kept running until he came to a place he could hide. He had to get Michael out of that brig on this station, and he knew where it was. He knew Jim and his team must have run into trouble. As he was rounding the next corner, he met up with Spock and Helek. "We're in trouble," Mac said.

"We sensed that," Spock replied. "We are waiting for the Enterprise to arrive."

"I don't know if that's a good idea. We have to get Michael out of the brig on this station! I know where she is."

Spock hesitated a moment. "Lead us to her," he said.

Mac felt better now that he had two others with him. He had always been mostly a loaner but he had to admit, he liked being part of a team. "Kirk has Solan with him now, and they will know where we're going!" he said.

Spock was troubled by that. He knew those two were the worst of the lot. "We must devise a plan," he said. "They are susceptible to bright light. That is why the lights on this station are so dim. We will use their disadvantage."

"I used a stun grenade. It worked perfect."

"We also have flash grenades that would work."

They rounded the next corner and were faced with a group of brutes which seemed to be waiting for them. Spock and the others did not hesitate to fire at them. Helek let go of a huge energy burst which took the others out, and they continued on their mission. "Where are they keeping her?" Spock asked.

"Down at the bottom of this thing," Mac answered. "She is in an isolation cell. It's kept completely dark and they torment the occupant with images and sounds."

"That sounds very unpleasant."

"Trust me, it is. We have to get her out of there. I don't know how Solan found out I was working with the resistance but he knew. If we see him or Kirk, we have to fire, don't even hesitate."

Spock was not sure he wanted to do that, but he was also sure that Mac knew more about this situation than he did. As they continued on their way to where Michael was being held, they met up with more brutes, but they were not hard to defeat when they did not hesitate. The lower levels of Caleb Four seemed to get darker as they went. Spock wanted nothing more than to get his sister out of this place.

Evil Kirk and Solan were on their way to stop Mac from rescuing Michael. Kirk knew that's where he would be going. He knew how loyal the resisters were. "I want to capture them," Kirk said. "I do not want their death to be quick."

"Don't worry," Solan replied. "They will not be difficult to capture."

"They will not outsmart us again!"

Jim and his team were not having an easy time getting off the ship, even with Cabal messing up the systems. "We have to retrieve Cabal too," Jim said. "We can't just leave him here."

"How are we supposed to do that?" Bones asked. "We'll be lucky to get out of here with our lives." He was repairing an injury to Jim's arm. "That should hold you till we get somewhere else."

Anakin stood in the middle of the corridor. "Admiral, I think I can put them all to sleep," he said.

"What?" Jim asked.

"I feel the Force like never before…" Anakin suddenly frowned. He looked at Jim with his eyes still glowing with golden light. "You have to separate from me."

"Why?"

"The evil me is here somewhere and he's trying to find me."

Jim knew exactly who that would be. "Do you know where he is?"

"He's not far away. I can't put them to sleep because he will counter it. The dark side is really strong in this universe, and he can pinpoint me better than I can pinpoint him."

"Then we keep moving."

"I'm drawing him to you."

"It doesn't matter. We're getting out of this together."

"If that's the way you want to do it."

"It is."

They continued down the next corridor and got to the tube where they could retrieve Cabal. "Hurry, Solan!" Jim said. "You and Bones retrieve him while Anakin, Ajah, and I keep watch."

Solan and Bones crawled into the tube and got the computer terminal open. Cabal transferred himself back into the case where Bones had kept him. They got out of the tube as quickly as they could and ran. As they turned the next corner, there were several security officers, and Spock. "Go into the medical bay!" Bones said.

"Why?" Jim asked. "We'll trap ourselves in there."

"Just do it! I'll mix something up and put them all to sleep!"

They went into the medical bay, but they would not have an easy time of doing anything there either because the evil Dr. McCoy was there. Bones could not believe what he was seeing. Jim did not hesitate to shoot at McCoy, but he was able to dodge it. He also had a weapon and he could aim with his tiberium enhanced green eye. Jim saw the green light on him and he jumped to the side as McCoy fired the weapon. Jim returned fire, and Anakin used his lightsaber to deflect fire from the others in the medical bay. Solan jammed the door so that no one else could get in. Ajah found an outlet and charged himself. He fired a powerful electrical surge at McCoy, knocking him backward.

Bones got over to the chemicals while the others were keeping the enemies occupied. He found what he was looking for and got over to the air vent. Solan got over there with him to keep watch. "Hurry," Solan said.

"I'm hurrying," Bones said. "Give me a minute." He poured one of the ingredients for his concoction into the vent and then poured the other on top of it. It formed a red cloud as usual and went down the ventilation shaft.

The ship was soon full of the red cloud, and everyone on the ship could not resist the effects, even with their tiberium enhancements. They all fell asleep. "Let's get out of here," Jim said.

They ran around to the exit port and left the ship, back into Caleb Four. "Let's try not to draw attention to ourselves," Jim said as he holstered his phaser. He hurried around the corridor. "We have to get to the ship." He opened his communicator. "Spock, where are you?"

Spock grabbed his communicator. "We are on our way to the isolation chamber that Michael is being held in," he said. "I believe we are being pursued by your counterpart."

Jim frowned. "We got out of their ship and we have the tacitus," he said.

"We must protect it at all costs. We cannot get back home without it."

"I know. Do you need our help?"

Spock was silent a moment. "I do not know, Admiral. Your counterpart is accompanied by the evil Solan, and they are determined that we are not going to leave here. They knew Mac was deceiving them, and most likely know where his ship is and may have sabotaged it."

Jim stopped as he heard that. "Then we have to escape with the Enterprise," he said. "We'll steal theirs if we have to. We'll get to the ship and check it out. Kirk out."

"How will we know if they have sabotaged the ship or not?" Solan asked.

"We'll let Cabal do a diagnostic. He can do that, right?"

"I can," Cabal answered from the box Bones was carrying.

Bones shook his head. "It just isn't normal for a computer program to answer you like that," he said.

"Why not?" Cabal asked.

"Just don't ask me questions."

They made their way around the corridor and to the other side of the station where Mac's ship sat. They looked into the hangar but did not see anything. "Let me go first," Anakin said.

"You sense anyone in there?" Jim asked.

"No." Anakin could feel the dark side worse than he had ever felt it, but he could also feel the good, and he felt the Force like never before since he had been in that Network. "We need to hurry though."

They went to the ship, and hooked Cabal up to it to do a diagnostic…

Spock, Helek, and Mac had reached the isolation chambers. "It's just too quiet down here," Helek said. "You sure we can get her out?"

"Sure we can," Mac replied. "I've worked with them before, remember?"

"Let's hurry then. We need to get out of here."

"We must find the cell where she is being held," Spock said.

They went into the brig area and there were three guards, but they took them out. Then all they had to do was find Michael. "I never said it was going to be easy to find her," Mac said as they were looking down a whole corridor with doors.

"You look on this side, we will take the other," Spock said.

They hurried down the corridors looking for Michael. Spock and Helek finally came to a cell with an occupant. "Someone is in this one," Spock said.

Mac came over to it and opened the cell door. Michael was there, and she had never been so glad to see anyone. "Are you alright?" Spock asked.

"I am now," Michael replied. "I was afraid you wouldn't find me."

"Let's go."

They hurried back down the corridor and to the exit, but standing there were the evil Kirk and Solan. "Well, well," Kirk said. "We knew you wouldn't leave her behind. Now, you're going to join her."

"You will find that more difficult than you think," Spock replied as he was holding his phaser on them.

"I have more people on the way. You will not be leaving here."

"If the two of you cannot handle only four of us, it is certain that even with more, you cannot handle Admiral Jim Kirk."

Kirk glared at him. "I will be meeting him," he said. "Drop your weapons."

"Forget it!" Michael replied and grabbed a phaser. She fired at evil Kirk.

Kirk and Solan avoided the fire, and the fight was on. Kirk tackled Spock as he knew he would be the one in charge. Evil Solan and Mac faced each other, and Michael and Helek tried to figure out what they should do to help this fight end quickly, but they could not fire at the enemies without hitting their own. Helek moved around so he would be behind Solan, but he was wise to that and managed to get to the other side of Mac.

"So, Mac, you decided to betray us," Solan said.

"It wasn't a hard decision," Mac replied. "You don't have one ounce of loyalty, except to money."

"What else is there?"

Spock tried a Vulcan pinch on evil Kirk, but it did not work since he was enhanced with the tiberium. He realized he would have to beat this one as he did Khan before. They both delivered some very hard blows, and Spock was thinking of how he could find a weakness in this opponent. Michael came up behind Kirk and attempted to jerk his legs from under him. Kirk was more agile than she anticipated and he used a roundhouse kick to get her away from him. Spock delivered a kick of his own to Kirk's midsection, taking him down to the floor. He then grabbed his phaser and would have fired at Kirk, but he managed to get up before he could fire and launched himself at Spock.

Jim and the others had found that Mac's ship had been sabotaged. Solan stared at the reading. "Looks like they had it rigged up to explode if we got off this station," he said.

"Can you disarm it?" Jim asked.

"Yeah, but it's gonna take time. I'm hoping our computer program there can help me."

"I am certain that I can," Cabal replied. "We must remove it from the engine."

"Alright, you and I will work on that."

"Get to it," Jim said. He wanted to know how Spock and the others were doing.

"Admiral, if you leave the ship, we may have trouble getting back," Ajah said.

"We can't help them from here."

"I realize this but once he gets the bomb away from the engine, we may be able to transport them."

"Let's hope."

Mac still struggled with Solan, but Helek finally got behind Solan and grabbed him by the shoulders and let go a huge charge. Solan's body shook with the electrical surge, and Helek dropped him where he stood. Then they turned to evil Kirk. He stood in the corner of the room. "I see you are not so confident now," Spock said. "You are outnumbered and will not win this fight. Surrender."

"I will never surrender!" Kirk shouted and tried launching himself at Spock again, but this time, Spock hit him with a stun bolt. Kirk landed hard on the floor.

"Let's go!" Mac said.

They hurried out of there and headed for the ship. Spock opened his communicator. "Admiral," he said.

"Spock, where are you?" Jim asked.

"We are on our way there now."

"Good. Anyone following you?"

"I do not believe so. Is the ship ready?"

"It soon will be when Solan and Cabal can get that bomb off it."

"We will be there shortly."

Jim was relieved to know they were on their way. "Solan, how's it going back there?"

"We're still working on it," Solan answered. "Just a little longer."

Jim hoped they had time to wait on this, but they had no other way to escape unless they stole that other Enterprise but he was not sure they could manage that with all the others on there, and he was sure they would not stay asleep forever. He figured they were waking up already.

Spock and the others soon arrived at the ship and got aboard. Mac sealed the boarding ramp and then he went to help Solan. "Just a few more wires," Solan said.

"Do you need help?" Mac asked.

"I'm not sure you can help," Solan replied as he was concentrating on cutting a wire. This reminded him of the time he and Scotty had had to stop a relay from destroying the Enterprise through the holodeck.

Mac watched what he was doing and waited patiently. Solan finally cut the last wire and got the bomb out. "What do we do with this?" he asked.

"I'll get it out of the ship," Mac replied.

"Admiral, we're ready!" Solan called.

Jim started to prepare the ship. Mac got the bomb off the ship and started to run back inside, but he saw the evil Kirk coming…and someone else with him. "Get this ship going!" Mac yelled as he got up the boarding ramp and closed it behind him. "We have to go now!"

Jim got the ship moving and got the landing struts up, and then they were out of the hangar. He knew they were not out of the woods yet, and he wondered what was happening with the base on Titan…and the Enterprise.
