XXXIX.

Cora lets out a light huff as she lifts the heavy storage trunk from the floor, raising it until she knows she won't drop it and can hold it against her stomach for extra support. She feels how tired her arms are from all of the moving she's been doing of supplies and also from their busy few days on Voeld. She tightens her grip on the handles, making sure she has it firmly in her hands as she carefully carries it towards the workbench of the Bio Lab before carefully letting it lower onto two others that are already stacked on top of one another, and she has already moved.

Cora glances around her for a moment, unable to keep the smile from her face when she takes in the site of the Bio Lab, just as high tech and advanced as the rest of their new ship and somewhere she had been spending some of her time taking care of the plants and samples that they had been collecting during their time in Helius. The more time she spent on board, Cora could see what the Andromeda Initiative had been spending all their funds on. The Tempest was like a dream and she'd enjoyed seeing how excited it had made Scott being shown around it when they'd first set foot on board and she had to admit how much she was enjoying her time on the Pathfinder ship.

But, before she could really focus on growing her plants, she was going to make sure the hydroponics section of the lab was set up and begin establishing the samples that the AI had delivered onto the ship. Cora unlocks the lid and pushes it open with her fingertips, looking down and into the trunk at all of the seeds and shoots that are waiting for someone to plant them. Cora smiles when she sees them all, it wasn't quite her own garden yet, but this was almost as good. She wished she'd managed to collect a sample while on EOS and can't help but feels disappointed that she doesn't have anything from her and Scott's first mission together. Their second visit on the day of Alec Ryder's funeral would have been the perfect opportunity, but both of them had been otherwise distracted that day.

"Cora?" She hears Scott's voice and looks towards the door when she watches him walk past it, trying to find her on this still slightly unfamiliar ship and clearly not being very successful.

"I'm in here," Cora calls, noticing that he hears her voice and backs up to the door and glances into the Bio Lab, smiling when he sees her and she does the same. "Hey, Pathfinder Ryder." Cora adds when she watches him take the few steps from the door and towards her before returning her attention to the seeds she is going through. She didn't want to appear too excited to see him, but she really was and hoped he'd stopped by to kiss her.

"You know, that still sounds weird." She hears the smile in Scott's voice and looks up at him when she notices that he leans against the workbench beside her, and crosses his arms over his chest.

"Well, what would you rather I call you?" Cora begins and sees a smile at the corner of his mouth, and then that he bites the edge of his lip. "It's what everyone else calls you now." She adds and feels his eyes on hers and knows she isn't going to get much done with him watching her.

"Scott is fine." He smiles and she watches him lower his arms and place both of his hands against the edge of the metal table. "Ryder is good." Scott continues making her laugh quietly. "Space Stud is even better." He chuckles making her giggle and shake her head at him then smiles when he leans to kiss her softly.

"A distraction is what you are, Space Stud." Cora whispers and tries to return her attention to the plants, pulling them out in their sample tubes and lowering them to the bench.

"I actually came to give you something.." Scott begins and she sees his grin when she looks at him, stopping what she is doing and focusing on him. Cora lowers the tube in her hand to the bench and fixes her eyes on him.

"Oh really?" Cora giggles and raises her eyebrow at him. "Is it a present?" She asks and sees him grin and nod his head lightly so Cora moves away from the bench and stands in front of him.

"Sort of." Scott begins and she watches him reach into the pocket of his hoodie and carefully pull out a small specimen vial between his thumb and finger, holding it up in front of him. "I scooped this up on EOS weeks ago and forgot all about it." Scott nods and tilts it towards her.

"What is it?" Cora smiles, taking the vial from him and turning it in her fingers so she can get a better look, noticing that it appears to contain a single green shoot. "Is this a plant?" She asks and sees him nod.

"I didn't know if you'd managed.." Scott begins and she can't keep the smile off of her face when she looks at him. "Just thought it might start things off." He adds and Cora throws her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. She hears him laugh and wrap his arms around her waist.

"Thank you." Cora whispers, leaning into his body and letting him hold her against his chest. "Thank you for being the kindest and most considerate man I've ever met." Cora adds and she hears him sigh.

"You are very welcome." Scott laughs and she feels him brush his mouth against her hair, kissing the top of her head.

Cora sighs when she feels him stroking his hands against her back, knowing that they are currently on duty and now surrounded by a ship full of people that didn't know them, let alone know they were together. They were officially back together, and they had promised the leaders that they would be completely appropriate, but they hadn't been doing that very successfully.

She knew Scott had been getting a little frustrated with her reluctancy to let them get back together officially; at first, because she thought it was too soon after how much she'd hurt him, and then because she was worried that the people in his team would think she was treated differently because she was Scott's girlfriend, and she didn't want people to think he would favour her as Alec had always been accused of. Plus, a relationship between the Pathfinder and his second would always be frowned upon. But, she loved him and he loved her, and it was nice to have a few minutes together and enjoy his company, even if she was hoping that no one came looking for them so she could kiss him all she wanted.

"See, you doubt what a great Pathfinder you are." Cora giggles and squeezes him tighter, sliding her palms onto his shoulder blades.

"I think I was doing it more to be a great boyfriend." Scott laughs and Cora feels him loosen his hold on her and lift his hand to her cheek, tilting her face up to meet his and kisses her softly, making her sigh against his mouth. They had to keep those brief in case someone came looking for them.

"Well, you are definitely that," Cora whispers and sees her response make him smile so she kisses him again, letting her mouth linger against his. "But you are so distracting." Cora giggles when Scott begins placing lots of kisses all over her face.

She reluctantly lowers her arms from around him and places her hands on his shoulder to steady her until she steps back into the space beside him, watching him move his hands back to the surface of the workbench. Cora picks up the next tray of seeds, glancing sideways when she notices Scott is watching her. She laughs and shakes her head at him before placing the vial that he has given her on the table in front of her.

"What?" He asks, a small smile at the edge of his lips.

"Don't you have anything better to do than watch me?" She laughs and feels his eyes still on her, and that he shakes his head lightly. "I don't believe you." She whispers and reaches her hand out to stroke against his cheek briefly before returning to the plants.

"Did you need some help?" She hears him ask, watching him turn his body towards the bench and stand at her side. She feels his shoulder knocking against hers lightly as he does, and that his attention is back to her again. "With whatever it is your doing." He adds, making her smile.

"I'm going to get all of these seeds planted." Cora nods and she motions to the rest of them in the trunk. "The sooner that happens, the sooner we can have a fully up and running hydroponics. Then we can collect even more samples from the planets we visit." Cora adds and glances at him, sure she sees him glazing over.

"A-hydro-what?" Scott chuckles making her smile again.

"It's just a different way of planting seeds when you don't have soil or land to plant them in. Perfect for on ships and it's done by feeding nutrients directly to the roots." Cora smiles, giving him a small nod. "It's like a garden for someone who isn't staying in one place for very long." She adds and sees him nod, still not looking like he understands.

"Well, that sounds like us." Scott smiles and she watches him reach behind her and begin taking out some vials of his own from the trunk. "So, show me what to do." Scott grins and she feels his shoulder touch hers again when he stands too close.

"I know you aren't really interested." Cora laughs quietly. "Plus, I don't want you to feel like you have to keep me company," Cora adds. "We are supposed to be on duty and being totally appropriate. I'm sure people already think we are together too much." She grins at him.

"I know." Scott smiles. "That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about.." He adds and Cora glances at him. "So, we were doing the whole friends thing." He smiles lightly. "Then we were spending every day and night together. We were having sex.." She hears him sigh making Cora giggle quietly when she hears it.

"Yes, we were." Cora nods and bites her bottom lip when she looks at him. "A lot, if I remember correctly." She adds and sees him laugh and look like he doesn't know what to say. "It's been very good if that's what you're worried about." Cora whispers and sees his eyes on her face again and he grins.

"I'm not worried about that." Scott chuckles and she sees him nod. "I know we were trying to take things slow." He smiles. "We fucked that up too." He adds. "I just wanted you to know that I don't regret how any of it went, and I would like us to continue.." He huffs making Cora giggle.

"Having sex?" Cora asks and she sees him laugh and shake his head. "You don't want us to have sex?" Cora giggles and knows he's getting flustered with her teasing of him. "I'm getting some very mixed signals here, Pathfinder Ryder." She whispers and hears him huff.

"Let me start again.." Scott smiles. "I know you are worried that it is too soon for us to go public." He sighs. "But, I want people to know." He adds and she feels his eyes on her.

"So, yes to the sex?" Cora smiles at him and notices he laughs. "I love that we are together again, Scott." Cora glances at him and sees her answer makes him grin and lean to kiss her gently. "But, you have a ship full of people that should probably not know we are together," Cora whispers with a light sigh but she feels his eyes meet hers and he shakes his head.

"Why shouldn't they know?" Scott asks and she can see he doesn't agree. "It has nothing to do with any of them." He adds and she watches his attention go back to the vials for a moment. "That's why we agreed to be professional while on duty right?" He smiles and she feels his eyes on her face again.

"I don't want to give anyone a reason to question yours or my judgement." Cora sighs and sees him nod lightly. "They questioned Alec because of me. Always saying he favoured me." She adds. "You have a difficult enough job and it's never going to be okay that we are together because of who you are.." Cora whispers. "I don't think I can stand any more rumours about us." She smiles lightly when she feels Scott place his hand on her back and stroke it gently.

"These people don't know us, Cora." Scott nods making her do the same. "Some of them never even met Alec, and the rumours will stop." He adds and she wonders how he can be so certain. "This is our fresh start, together." He smiles again and she feels him lift his hand to brush through the front of her hair.

"I hope so." Cora smiles at him, leaning into his touch. "You know I want this, Scott." She adds and sees him nod. "I just don't want our relationship to cause you any problems." Cora whispers. "If they don't think we should be together.." She adds.

"I don't care about that. I want you." Scott smiles, stroking her fingers against her hair. "Isn't that enough?" He adds making her fix her eyes on him and nod, more than enough. "I don't want to sneak around anymore," Scott whispers and she sees his eyes searching hers.

"It is enough, and I don't want to sneak around anymore either." Cora nods and sees him smile. "You just need to make sure you don't spend all your time with me." She laughs quietly and sees him grin. "As much as I would love to have you all day and all night to myself." Cora whispers and lets her lips touch his, lingering for a moment too long.

"Well right now, I want to spend time with you." Scott smiles and she watches him reach for two of the empty trays and place one in front of each of them. "We don't know how much of that we'll get." Scott nods and she feels his eyes on her. "So, just humour me and show me what to do with these things." Scott grins making her smile and nod lightly.

"Fine.." Cora sighs and hears him chuckle. "So we need to transfer all of the little vials of shoots into the trays.." Cora begins lifting the vial that he's given her up and showing him. "We better start with this one." Cora adds and sees him nod. "Do you know what it is?" Cora asks and glances at him.

"I don't have a clue." Scott laughs. "I scanned it so I have the data. But, it wasn't anything we have in our database." He continues and she notices he is watching her closely. "Hopefully it's not flesh-eating." Scott chuckles making her smile at him.

"If it ends up having flesh-eating tentacles.." Cora giggles and carefully opens the vial. "I'll send it out the airlock." She adds and sees him laugh. "I know that is against Andromeda Initiative protocol." She smiles when he reaches for a separate pot.

"You can't send him out of the airlock." Scott laughs and holds the individual container out to her rather than a tray, letting her place the single green shoot into its own pot.

"Him?" Cora laughs and sees Scott nodding enthusiastically and he grins at her.

"Hey, you're the plant expert.." Scott chuckles. "It could be a him." He adds and she feels his eyes on her. "Besides, this is something that's ours. So we can't get rid of him just because he grows a few tentacles." He smiles and she watches him take the plant from her and move away and place it on one of the shelves. "What if he has feelings?" He chuckles.

"I'm definitely not an expert." Cora smiles. "But fine, we'll keep him if it makes you happy." She laughs when she sees Scott grinning again as he approaches her and is back at her side. "How do you manage to be sexy and adorable at the same time?" She sighs, taking hold of his chin between her fingers and directing his mouth to hers. Cora feels him lift his hand to hers and deepen the kiss.

"It's a talent." Scott mumbles against her mouth, making her smile when she hears it and pull back from him. "You are so wonderful, Cora." He smiles and she feels his eyes on her.

"So are you." Cora whispers and feels him lift his hand and begin stroking her hair. "I'm very happy to have a public and very scandalous relationship with you." She adds and sees that her words have made him smile.

"You know I love a good scandal.." He chuckles. "Why don't you come here and kiss me, or is that too scandalous?" He whispers and she sees him lean closer and smile again when he dips his head to kiss her softly, his mouth fitting perfectly with hers.

"What if someone sees us?" Cora giggles and feels him smile against her lips.

"I'm the Pathfinder. I can do what I want." Scott grins and she feels him kiss her again and wrap his arms around her body, letting her relax against his chest. Cora sighs and places her hand on the back of his head as he deepens the kiss, moving his lips in a slow kiss until she feels him break away.

"See.." Cora sighs. "Such a distraction." She adds and sees him grin. "I'll never get all of this finished." Cora adds and glances at the seeds, deciding she'd much rather spend the afternoon kissing Scott.

"You can finish it later." Scott smiles. "We've got some time before we get back to the Nexus." Scott begins and she feels his hands move to her lower back, his fingers gripping her waist. "Maybe we should take this to my room." Scott whispers and she feels his eyes on her so she lifts her hand to brush through the front of his hair.

"You're right, we do have some time." Cora smiles and takes hold of his chin drawing him closer. "We shouldn't waste a second." Cora whispers and sees Scott grin. "SAM, please pause recording the Pathfinder." Cora giggles when Scott unwraps his arms from her.

"Come on, Cora." Scott whispers. "Where's your sense of adventure?" He adds making her giggle. "SAM, continue recording.." Scott grins and she feels his eyes on her, making her flush under his gaze. "Then send to mine and Cora's personal devices." He whispers and she watches him step towards the doorway to close the door to the Bio Lab.

Cora hears it lock in place and knows they are alone and won't be interrupted by anyone. She sighs when he quickly approaches her again and suddenly presses his body against her, his hands on her face and dragging their mouths together in a hard and passionate kiss that leaves her breathless. Cora feels his tongue and mouth as demanding as hers when their hands grab for each other, trying to get closer and she knows they are making up for the days that they'd had to spend apart on Voeld and that she's never wanted anyone as much as him.

"Scott." Cora whimpers when she feels his hands on her behind, pulling her against him so she can feel how ready he is for her. He moves his hands up to the bottom of her top, quickly helping her out of it and dropping it to the floor. She feels him break their kiss long enough to remove his t-shirt before returning his fingers to her waistband, making her gasp when their mouths merge again.

Cora moans quietly when his mouth presses against her cheek, then down to her neck as they both make quick work of the rest of each other's clothes, their hands pulling and tugging at the material between them and letting them pile on the floor around their feet. Cora giggles when she feels him wrap his arms around her, his hands on her back as he lifts her off of her feet. She feels him drag her legs around his waist, pressing them together which makes her whimper. She feels his hands on her again as he carries her to the workbench, careful not to trip on their clothes. Cora feels him lower her onto it and how cold it is beneath her thighs, she feels him quickly covering her body with his own when she tightens her hold around his waist.

"You think this place is soundproof?" Scott mumbles and she feels his mouth on her throat, making her whimper when he nuzzles his lips against her neck and then grazes his teeth on her skin. "I guess we'll soon find out." Scott adds and she hears him groan when she arches her back and pulls him tighter against her, letting her body move against his.

"Probably not.." Cora whispers and places her hands on his face, drawing him back up so she can kiss him again, moaning when she feels his hand move between them so he can enter her.

"People will be wondering where you are." Cora whispers and she hears his sigh in response beside her, which makes her glance at him. She notices that he is watching her as they lay on the floor of the Bio Lab and that his face and chest look as flushed as hers feel. Cora rests her head against his arm, trying to ignore the cold metal beneath her naked body and just focus on them being together and how happy that makes her.

"Let them wonder." Scott smiles and she feels his eyes on her so she moves closer to him. She lets herself snuggle up to his side, feeling him move his arm to wrap it around her. "I've got nowhere to be but here." Scott adds and she feels his hand on her back, feeling how warm it is on her skin compared to the floor when she strokes her.

Cora smiles when he lifts his hand to her cheek and leans down to kiss her, his thumb beneath her jaw and tilting her mouth to fit with his and then stroking her hair back behind her ear. She feels his foot brush her leg when he turns on his side and giggles against his lips when he moves his hand lower to wrap her legs around him and draw her closer to him, she breaks their kiss and smacks him lightly on his arm and sees him grin.

"You say I'm insatiable." Cora giggles and she sees him nod and smile when she places her hand on his shoulder and then slides it onto his bicep. "I think you are just as bad." Cora smiles.

"You say that like it's a bad thing." Scott grins and she feels him nuzzle his mouth against her cheek and then start kissing his way closer to her lips, making Cora huff when he brings his mouth close to hers but holds back from kissing her. "Trust me, no one will notice I'm gone." Scott whispers and kisses her cheek softly.

"I wish that were true." Cora sighs when he nuzzles her cheek again and then presses soft kisses at the side of her mouth. "Everyone needs you now, Scott." Cora whispers and feels his lips hover over hers again. "Not just me." She adds and sees him grin.

Cora feels Scott lift his hand to her face and trace her bottom lip with his thumb, feeling his eyes on her when she wraps her lips around it sucks it into her mouth. She watches Scott go still and knows he is watching her mouth closely, and then to her eyes.

"Alright." Scott smiles at her. "Just kiss me one more time before I go?" He asks as she sees him grin again.

"Just one more time.." Cora whispers before she wraps her arms around his neck when he captures her mouth with his again.

Cora feels his tongue finding hers and making her sigh and lean into his arms when he wraps himself around her, sliding his hands over her body and trying to get her closer. She sighs when he removes his mouth from hers and moves it to press a soft his against her shoulder. Cora lifts her fingers to slide through his hair, which she notices directs his eyes back to hers.

"Okay, let's go public Space Stud." Cora sees him smile and feels him wrap his arms around her tighter. "Let people see how happy we are." Cora giggles and places her hands on his cheeks when he nods in agreement. "I want to be with you, to love you and have you love me." She whispers and notices her words make him look happy.

"Well, I love you." Scott grins and she feels his eyes on her, and then he rests his forehead against hers. "I love you so much." Scott whispers and draws her mouth to his again in a soft kiss.

"I love you, too." Cora whispers and she feels him stroke his fingers against her hair. "You make me so happy." Cora sighs and lets him wrap himself around her again, enjoying the feeling of being close to him.

"Me too." Scott smiles and she relaxes against his chest, feeling his hand gently stroke her back as he holds her. "I want everyone to know that." He sighs. "But right now, all I can think of is how cold the floor is." Scott laughs and she sees him lift his head and glance around them, her own body feeling it too where she touches it, feeling glad that they'd managed to spend most of the time with him on his feet.

"I don't think they designed it for what we've been doing." Cora laughs lightly and places her hands on his shoulders again, stroking her fingers down to his biceps. "If you aren't leaving, I think you need to keep me warm." Cora giggles and pushes him onto his back, seeing him shiver lightly when his skin comes into contact with the floor beneath him.

"I would be very happy to help." Scott grins and she hears him sigh when she places her hands on his chest, letting her fingers trail slowly around his hard muscle. Cora feels his hand help lift her leg across his waist and then move onto her hips when she places her knee on either side of his hips to straddle him. "How's that?" Scott asks and she notices his eyes are fixed on her as she settles on top of him and he then grins.

"Hot.." Cora giggles and lays into his hold, pressing her chest against his and feeling him wrap his arms around her. "Hard." She whispers and feels his hand tangle in the hair at the back of her head as he leans up to kiss her hair, his tongue finding hers. Cora moves on top of him and hears him groan and break their kiss. "Sorry, I thought we were talking about your body." Cora giggles and hears him huff when she places her finger over his lips. "Patience, Ryder.." Cora whispers and kisses him gently.

"Believe me. I'm trying." Scott chuckles and she can feel him moving. "Should we take this somewhere a little more comfortable?" Scott grins and she feels his hands on her back. "Preferably with an actual bed." Scott smiles and lifts his hand to her cheek, drawing her to his lips again.

"Next time we'll try and make it to one of our rooms." Cora giggles and kisses him back, feeling his hands on her. "That is if you want to unpack your trunks with me on the Hyperion?" She laughs and lets her thumbs rest on each side of his mouth.

"Is that a euphemism?" Scott grins and she lowers her lips to his, hearing his happy sigh when she kisses him in a slow and gentle kiss. "I would love to unpack with you on the Tempest and the Hyperion. Wherever you'll have me." Scott mumbles in between kisses lifting his hands to her face.

"I"d like that." Cora smiles. "Living with you. I was so happy." She adds. "We won't have to sneak out early in the morning." Cora giggles and places her hands on either side of his head.

Cora knew that going from spending every moment together on Theia and then suddenly to nothing had been hard on them both when they'd had their time apart. Although it hadn't taken long for them to start spending their nights together, it had been difficult at first to not slip back into what felt good and natural between them. But with that all in the past she was very happy for them to be officially sharing their quarters again and having him in her bed. Her room on the Hyperion was much, much smaller than their apartment had been on Theia, and his room on the Tempest was not always the most private, but she knew they'd be happy wherever they were and make it theirs now they were officially living together again. She wasn't sure how Scott planned for them to go public, but maybe it was what they needed now.

"I've missed it too. I liked our apartment." Scott smiles and she feels him hold her closer again. "Being back in bed with you every night has been amazing." Scott adds making her giggle and she watches him brush back her hair.

"Now I see what you really want from me." Cora giggles and sees him smile. "You just want my big bed." Cora grins and watches him give her an innocent smile and she feels him slide his hands down her back and rest them on her hips.

"Oh, trust me there are a lot of things of yours I want." Scott whispers making her giggle, hoping he'd show her every last one in great detail. Cora feels him move his hands lower and massage her beneath his palms, she sees his eyes are on her. "Here's one." Scott grins and she sighs when he sits up and presses his mouth against hers. "Here's another." Scott mumbles against her lips, she feels his hands on her waist and he rocks her hips making them both moan. Cora places her hands on his chest, squeezing him between her thighs. "This one's my favourite." Scott whispers.

"Scott." SAM's voice announces and Cora hears him sigh and remove his lips from hers, making her laugh quietly when she hears it. "Your presence has been requested by Vetra Nyx on the bridge of the Tempest."

"I told you, everyone needs you." Cora smiles and hears him huff.

"Right now, SAM?" Scott begins and Cora giggles when he looks like he is planning on ignoring anyone that needed him and wrapping his arms tighter around her. "I'm sure she can wait." Scott whispers with a grin as he leans closer to kiss her again making Cora sigh when he kisses her bottom lip.

"Vetra Nyx has requested you immediately, Scott." SAM announces making Scott let out a frustrated groan and she feels him loosen his hold on her. "SAM, please tell Vetra Nyx I am currently naked but I am on my way." He chuckles.

"Message sent to Vetra." SAM announces making Cora lift her hand to her mouth, trying to stop herself laughing when she sees Scott's face when he realises what he's done.

"Oh, shit." Scott laughs and she watches him lift both of his hands to his face, placing his fingers over his mouth when he looks at her.

"Scott." Cora laughs seeing him shake his head; she smacks him on the arm and rolls her eyes at him. "We are hooked up to the Tempest, remember?" Cora giggles and sees his grin. "I can't believe you sent that." She laughs.

"Well, this might be an awkward conversation." Scott chuckles and she feels him unwrap his arms from around her, letting her climb off of him settle back onto the floor but immediately miss his warm and naked body wrapped around hers. Shivering when her back comes into contact with metal again.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Cora asks and watches him begin looking for his clothes.

"No, it's fine. You could head back to our room?" Scott smiles as he glances over his shoulder at her. "Warm up the bed for when I get back." He adds and she sees him smile and feels his eyes travel over the bare skin she knows he can see, making her flush when she notices. "I'll be as quick as I can." He sighs and she watches him find and pick up his trousers off of the floor, and start pulling them on.

"Hopefully they won't keep you long." Cora smiles as she watches him pull them up his legs. "I did think I'd get you all to myself until we got back to the Nexus." Cora giggles and then she hears him chuckle, knowing he was thinking the same.

"Even more reason for me to get back." Scott laughs as Cora watches him stand from their makeshift bed on the floor, tugging his trousers right up and begins seeing him fasten them at his waist.

"Maybe I should get dressed in case people come looking." Cora giggles when she sees Scott look at her and grin as she sits up and starts looking around for her own clothes. She takes hold of her top and notices he is pulling on his Initiative t-shirt.

"They'd get a nice surprise." Scott smiles and she watches him crouch down in front of her again. "Can I get you anything? Coffee with extra sprinkles and cream?" He grins making her sigh lightly, she wished.

"Just you will do." Cora smiles when he leans forward to kiss her gently, she lifts her hand to his face and feels him linger. "Please try and remember you are humanities greatest hope." Cora sighs dramatically and hears him laugh.

"As if I could forget." Scott grins and she feels him kiss her again before standing up and stepping carefully around her and the rest of their clothes as she watches him pull his shoes on his feet.

Cora watches walking towards the door, smoothing down his hair as he does and doing another quick check of his clothes. She sees him place his hand against the door and unlock it, and then that he glances over his shoulder at her.

"I love you." Scott smiles and she watches him wave and head through the door and to meet Vetra.
