[Branwen tribe: Raven's tent]

"You can wait outside, thank you."said Raven, after Vernal served tea to her and her guests.

"So, what's the truth?"asked Yang, wondering what this true for mother was that her mother was talking about.

"You know, it's better when it's hot."said Raven, seemingly ignoring the question.

"You know, you're really obnoxious."said Weiss, still angry about the fact that a few minutes ago she was in a cage courtesy of Raven and her lackeys.

"Get on with it."said Jaune, curious as to what this truth but she keeps talking of is all about

"The truth is that truth is hard to come by. A story a victory for one person, is the story of defeat for another. By now your uncle is truly told Ruby and her friends plenty of stories."said Raven, sure that her brother has already told Ruby and the others plenty.

"Well he's never given me a reason to doubt him."said Yang, as her uncle has always had her back.

"That doesn't mean those reasons don't exist."countered Raven, earning a glare from her daughter.

"You know you and your teammates might as well be the poster children for the Huntsman Academies. Your motives vary, but you all enrolled to try and make the world a better place. It's adorable.

"It's what Huntsman and Huntresses do."countered Yang to Raven's statement.

"It's what the three men I served wanted to do."said Jaune, as anyone who has met Oden, Whitebeard, and Roger had hardly anything bad to say about them, especially the people they saved.

Jaune new plenty of grateful countries that owe them a lot for helping save their people, after all. He was there to see it with his own two eyes.

"I still don't know who you're talking about, but if these men are as honorable as you say then you're lucky. But not all Huntsman and huntresses are like that, not all of them."said Raven, knowing full well how corrupt the world really is.

"Some people are just in it for the money and the fame, but there are even more just looking to grow stronger. Your uncle Qrow and I didn't attend Beacon to become Huntsman. we did it to learn how to kill Huntsman."said Raven, shocking Weiss.

Jaune wasn't a surprise that's his friends, he knew plenty of warriors on the grand line who are like that. He the lazy he heard a story of some kid joining some group called cp9 for the World Government doing exactly that... he believes his name was Rob Lucci.

"Daddy and Uncle didn't tell you that. Aside from the Grimm, Huntsman were the only ones capable of ruining our raids, and hunting us down. Our tribe needed a counter force, and Qrow and I were the perfect age."said Raven, as it was clear what this conversation was going.

"So the den leaders of your tribe sent you to Beacon to become Huntsmen to learn how to counter Huntsmen."said Jaune, as that is exactly what some ninja clans did back in Wano.

To defeat their enemies they infiltrated from withi , and used the skills they learn from their enemies to defeat them.

"Perspective, are we. I can see why my daughter brought you as backup."said Raven, who sounded impressed.

"Your right, the entrance exams were child's play compared to what we are already been through. We were good, so good that we caught the attention of Beacon's very own Headmaster professor Ozpin."said Raven as she stood up.

'She clearly doesn't trust him...' thought Jaune, as it was clear from her tone and micro expressions that she was hostile to the late Headmaster.

"Even after we were put on a team, I could tell he was keeping his eye on us. Back then I was sure he knew, but it was team STRQ he was interested in."said Raven, referring to her old teammates and brother.

"What do you mean by that?"asked Yang, wondering what her birth mother meant.

"Constant attention, extra training missions, turning a blind eye whenever we happen to break the rules and get into more in trouble than we should have. Sound familiar?"asked Raven, knowing that team RWBY had similar circumstances around them.

"What's your point?"asked Yang.

"Her point is that he's has done this before."said Jaune, as he could see where Raven was going.

"He's right. How much do you know about professor Ozpin? About his past."asked Raven, wondering what exactly they heard about their precious Headmaster.

"He was a prodigy. One of the youngest Headmasters to be appointed to a school."answered Weiss, as that's what she remembers reading.

"Because that's how he planned it."answered Raven, confusing the people in front of her.

"What do you mean?"asked Jaune.

"Because the man you know as, Ozpin designed those schools. And has followers in every Academy all over Remnant that are loyal to him and no one else."answered Raven with contempt in her voice.

"That doesn't make any sense. How could he have-no! Why would someone even do that?"asked Yang, wondering where her mother was going with this.

"Because old man Oz has a great and terrible secret. One that could spread fear across the world. One that he eventually entrusted to our team."said Raven, recalling the circumstances that let her down the path she has chosen.

"And once I knew, there was no going back... I needed to know more. But with every new discovery I made, the more horrifying the world became."Raven added.

"Okay, then tell us? What's the big secret? What's so crazy that the rest of us don't know." asked Yang, growing impatient.

"The creatures of Grimm... have a master named Salem. She can't be stopped. She can't be reasoned with. And she will not rest until humanity crumbles under her feet."responded Raven, as everyone looked on with shock.

They honestly couldn't believe what they just heard. The Grimm have a leader! Her name is Salem and she controls them!

'She sounds a lot like, Kaido.' thought Jaune, as the descriptions were similar.

"What?!"asked Weiss, wanting to make sure she hurt everything correctly.

"You know you three haven't even touched your tea."said Raven as she took a sip of her tea.

"Why should we believe any of this?"asked Yang, as it was honestly hard to believe.

"Now you're catching on. So far you've done nothing but what others tell you. But you need to question everything?"said Raven, has she got in her daughter's face before walking away.

"Otherwise you end up just as blind as Qrow."said Raven, as Qrow was one of Ozpin's followers.

"And you're fool of a father..."said Raven, referring to the man she once loved, Tai Xiao Long.

Yang broke the table in response, as she did not like her father getting insulted

"Don't you dare talk about my family like that."said Yang with red eyes.

""You need to calm down."said Raven, revealing that Vernal was pointing a weapon at Yang.

"I think you need to stop pushing her buttons."said Jaune, pressing Kashu next to Vernal's neck, as the young girl wondered how he got so close to her without her noticing.

"Let's put our weapons down and talk, I don't want to end up making a mess."said Jaune, as he and Rave. locked eyes with one another.

"Jaune, Yang please."said Weiss, trying to reason with her friends.

"Listen to your friend, Yang. Your teammates never let you down."said Raven, as Yang started to approach her.

"You don't know the first thing about my teammates! About me! You were never there! You left us!"said Yang, letting out everything she wanted to say her to her mom at once.

"Why?!"she asked, wanted to hear the answer from the horse's mouth.

"I know more than you realize. Not just about you, and not just what I've been told, but things I've seen with my own eyes. I know you the Grimm have a leader. I know people who can come back from the dead. I know that magic is real. And I can prove it."said Raven as Weiss stood up.

"You said Tai told you all about my semblance? Well I doubt he tell you what Oz did to my brother and me."said Raven as she walked out the other side of the tent.

"Go see for yourself."said Vernal as Jaune let her go, with a clear blood mark from where Kashu was pressed.

"Sorry, bad habit."said Jaune as Vernal left the tent.

Jaune ,Yang, and Weiss ran out of the tent in the direction Raven went, but she seemingly disappeared.

"Mom?"called out Yang

"Yang, are you okay?"asked Weiss, as this must be a lot for her friend.

"I'll be fine once I can get her to take us to Ruby."responded Yang.

"It's okay if... not okay."said Weiss, as no normal person would be okay in this situation.

"You didn't believe what you said, did you?"asked Yang.

"I...uh. Of course not. Well not all of it. It was crazy. We have dust, semblances, but I mean there's no such thing as magic."responded Weiss.

"And you?"asked Yang to Jaune.

"I was literally in another world so I believe her."said Jaune, as Yang was still skeptical about that.

"Other world, what are you talking about?"asked Weiss, who still hasn't heard what Jaune has been doing for the last thirteen years.

But before the conversation could go any further a raven started flying around them.

"A raven?"asked Weiss.

"I've... seen that bird before."said Yang, recalling many times she has seen that raven.

"Maybe it belongs to your mom?"suggested Weiss.

"No, it is her mom."said Jaune as the raven turned into Raven!

"How,... did you do that?"asked Yang, almost not believing what she saw with her own two eyes.

"Well.. I could explain it to you, but first I want to hear something out of his mouth."said Raven, as she pointed at Jaune.

"What do you want to know?"he responded.

"Everything I just told you. Everything I just showed you. You didn't even flinch once, why?"asked Raven, wondering why he knew so much as far as she knew he wasn't one of Ozpin's followers like her brother.

"Back at the Battle of Beacon... I blew myself up with a whole bunch of dust crystals and opened a portal through the space-time continuum. It took me to another world where everything you just showed me, everything you just did is a normal everyday occurrence with a special group of fruits known as the devil fruit. In exchange for your ability to swim you can gain abilities like the one you just did. The man I want to kill has such an ability."said Jaune, as Yang and Weiss listened in.

"And who is this man you want to kill?"asked Raven.

"His name is Kaido. Like Salem, he is said to be unbeatable. The man is next to impervious to all manner of weapons including guns, swords, spears, cannons, and even a guillotine. He is said to be the strongest creature of that world and if it's a one-on-one fight, he will always win. He ate a devil fruit called the Fish Fruit fruit model: Azure Dragon, and it gave him the ability to turn into an Eastern dragon. He can breathe fire, great storms, and jumps off mountains to attempt suicide for fun. Nothing can hurt him, in fact he's only known injury is from the man I served. Kozuki Oden, the man I served for thirteen long years was the first person to ever cut into that impenetrable skin and could have defeated Kaido in combat if it wasn't for a cheating old hag. My mission is to make sure his son becomes the leader of the country he was born in, Wano Country. And my mission is also to open up its borders to the rest of the world in preparation for the day Joyboy returns."said Jaune, as everyone heard his story with interest.

"So you're also facing an unbeatable monster."said Raven has she activated her semblance and created a portal.

"What are you doing? Your letting us go?"asked Yang, wondering why her mother was suddenly letting them go.

"I'm giving you a choice."said Raven as she put her sword away.

"Stay here, with me and I'll answer all of your questions and more. We can have a fresh start. Or, you can go back with Qrow and join Ozpin's impossible war against Salem."said Raven as she stepped out of the way.

"And meet the same fate of so many others."said Raven grimly.

"But can you go back to trusting someone who's kept so much from you?"

"All I care about is making sure my sister is safe."said Yang, as Ruby was her top priority.

Raven sounded like she was disappointed by that.

"I'm also on an impossible quest that everyone says there's no hope of winning. But I'm just a stupid idiot who likes swinging his sword around. I made a promise to Kozuki Oden, the man who saved my life that I would make his son the next Shogun of Wano Country! I promised him that after we defeat Kaido, that we would open the borders of Wano to the rest of the world! The future belongs to the daring ones. If you're too much of a coward to take that next step and plunge into death without a smile on your face, then can you honestly live with yourself. The way of the warrior is the absolute acceptance of death...Shimotsuki Ryuma, considered the hero of Wano."said Jaune as Yang and Weiss got onto bumblebee.

"Yang! If you side with your uncle, I may not be as kind the next time we meet."said Raven, basically threatening her daughter with a veiled threat.

"You weren't kind this time either. And you! You better come along with us as you have a lot of explaining to do to my sister."said Yang, as Jaune didn't fit on bumblebee so he had to walk.

"... I understand "said Jaune, understanding that he needed to confront his best friend and partner, as Yang and Weiss entered the portal.

"You could stay here you know. The tribe could use a warrior of your caliber."said Raven as Jaune walked past her.

"You may be an amazing leader to these people, but you're a terrible mother."said Jaune as he entered the portal.

"...I know..."said Raven as the portal dissipated.

Elsewhere, near Haven Academy Qrow was sitting alone in a porch, contemplating what to do next after finding out many of his associates and fellow Huntsman were dead. He as long since recovered from Tyrian's poison, but now he wonders what he's going to do without allies.

"This isn't right. I get one or two of them, but.. all of them."said Qrow, wondering how so many of his friends were dead.

"Raven!"said Qrow as he noticed the portal that was his sister's semblance.

"Ohh..."said Qrow, upon seeing who it really was.

Meanwhile RWBY and Team NPR we're cooking inside. Nora was cutting carrots as Pyrrha was setting up the table. Nora was occasionally eating some of the carrots she was cutting as Ren and Ruby were cooking near the stove. Ren was stirring the pot as Ruby was cooking something in a pan.

"Alright, the first batch is just about done."said Ren.

"Awesome. Now we just need Qrow and will be all set."said Ruby with a smile.

"You really think he's going to bring that many people? This is a lot of food."said Nora, who was eating most of the food.

"Ahh... I don't know, but it sounds like we could use all the help we can get."said Ruby, as ahe heard Qrow say that he was back.

"Be right there."said Ruby as she was over cooking something in the pan.

"Your going to overcook that."pointed out Ren.

"No I'm not, shut up."said Ruby, over cooking the food in the pan.

"Hey, uh, Ruby..."

"I'm coming."said Ruby, as black smoke came out of the pan to indicate that she overcooked the food.

"Fine, you take over!"said Ruby as she went to see what her uncle wanted.

"So we didn't know how many people were coming. So we just cooked all of it."said Ruby, before dropping the tray upon seeing Yang and Weiss.

Ruby honestly didn't know what to say as her sister approached her...

"Yang! I'm.. I'm so sorry! I, I should have stayed! And I should have talked to you more! And I...um... I wasn't sure if you wanted me around..."said Ruby, before her sister hugged her.

"... I love you."said Yang as she hugged Ruby tighter, happy to see that her little sister was alive and well.

Ruby just began sobbing in her sister's arms as she hugged her back.

"I love you too."said Ruby as NPR walked into the room.

Oscar soon walked into the room too, wondering what was going on.

"Uh.."said Oscar, not sure what to say.

Weiss just wipe the way it's here, happy to see that the sisters were reunited and happy.

"Weiss..."said Ruby as Weiss ran in and hugged her friends.

"We have a surprise for you and Pyrrha."said Yang, confusing both girls.

"Hey! You can't hide out there forever! Come on in."said Yang as Jaune walk in through the door.

Ruby and Pyrrha looked on with shock as they wondered who he was until they got a better look at his blue eyes.

"...Jaune..."said Ruby and Pyrrha at the same time.

"Yeah... it's been a while."said Jaune as both girls ran over and hugged him.

"I thought for sure you were dead."said Ruby through her tears.

"Don't leave us like that again!"said Pyrrha through her tears.

"Nora...Ren..."said Jaune, as his teammates ran over and hugged him as well.

"Where have you been all this time!"asked Nora through her tears.

"We thought we lost you forever."said Ren, so glad that his friend was alive and well.

"I guess I have a lot of explaining to do..."said Jaune, knowing that was the understatement of the century.
