'Where am I?...The last thing I remember was lying in the ocean waiting to be rescued after that stupid giant elephant destroyed the Mammoth!' thought Jack the Drought, one of the three commanders of the Beast Pirates known as the All-Stars.
Currently the fourth most powerful individual in the organization was wondering what he was doing here as one moment he was in the ocean floor waiting to be rescued after attacking Zou, the next moment he finds himself falling through the sky when he happened to end up in what looked like a battlefield.
"What is that?"asked Ruby, as she has never seen anyone that big before in her life.
"His name is Jack! He's a subordinate of the man I swore to defeat, even if it meant death!"responded Jaune, knowing that the battle had just gotten a lot harder as Jack wasn't weak.
Kaido doesn't allow weaklings into his pirate group!
Especially into the leadership of the Beasts Pirates!
"Jaune! Careful! He has a one billion berrie bounty on his head!"said Cat Viper, as Jaune knew no one gets a bounty like that unless they were strong!
"I don't know if this is a dream or not but all I know is that I'm pissed! And I could really use someone to use as a practice to me to vent my anger on!"said Jack as he pulled off the tusks that were draped on his shoulders and revealed that they were some kind of sickle-like blades!
"Die, Arc!" shouted Cinder, but Jaune completely ignored her as he was focused on Jack.
"Back off!" shouted Jaune as he coated his hand in Ryou before striking Cinder across the face, knocking her away as he didn't have time to deal with her.
"Die!"shouted Jack as he began attacking the White Fang!
The White Fang fired their automatic weapons on Jack but to their surprise they just bounced off his skin like they were nothing! This caught them off guard as he clearly did not show signs of having Aura but it was like his skin was a natural suit of heavy armor!
But before they could ponder on this anymore they were cut apart by Jack and his blades!
"Arugh!"exclaimed the White Fang soldiers that were cut apart, before they ended up lying on the floor with no motion whatsoever!
"What is he?!"asked Ghira, as he could barely keep up with what Jack had just done as those swings were really fast.
"He's a monster!"exclaimed Kali, as it was clear to her that this opponent was different from the others!
He didn't give a damn about the lives of others! He just wanted someone to cut!
"Arc style: Red Moon!" exclaimed Jaune as he coated Kashu and Corcea Mors in Ryou it took on a sinister red appearance before he struck Jack across his chest, creating a massive dash as the Beast Pirate was sent back!
"Argh!"exclaimed Jack, as unlike the bullets that struck him at first, that slashing attack actually pierced through his skin!
"You bastard...wait... I recognize you."said Jack as he readied his sickles."Cresent Moon Jaune Arc, former member of the Roger Pirates and retainer for the Kozuki Clan!"
"I see my infamy spans the Sea of Ages."said Jaune, as he was surprised that a member of Kaido's crew that wasn't even there at Onigashima twenty years ago recognized him!
"Orochi made sure we would remember your faces as that old coward is so afraid of that prophecy Oden's wife said all those years ago, so that we would be ready for the day it happened!"said Jack, as he knew all the faces of the Ten Red Scabbards.
Orochi made sure of that!
"Then you know why I must take you down!"said Jaune as he and Jack clashed blades.
"Die!"shouted Jack as Jaune and him struck swords with one another with such strength that it created shockwaves that pushed a lot of people back!
"Kill him while he is distracted!"ordered Cinder, causing Emerald and Mercury to aim their weapons at Jaune while his back was turned!
This of course did not happen as Ruby and Weiss intercepted them and forced them back!
"I don't think so!" shouted Ruby.
"I believe your opponents are us!"said Yang as she and Mercury got into a vicious hand-to-hand combat fight.
Yang kept trying to punch Mercury well he dodged and tried to hit her with his boots, but she kept out maneuvering him as well and eventually managed to strike a clean right hook to Mercury's jaw, sending the young assassin back!
"Ah! Forget this! Raven! Vernal! We have other business to take care of!"shouted Cinder, causing Raven and Vernal to follow her to the elevator that would take them to where the vault of the relic of knowledge is.
"Don't let them go! They're trying to get to the relic!" shouted Oscar, just as he was forced back by Leo.
Hazel was about to jump in went out of nowhere he was kicked across the face by Cat Viper!
"I don't think a man your size should be picking on a little kid!"said Cat Viper as he and Hazel stare at each other.
"I gave you and out! Now you will have to face the consequences!"said Hazel as he began charging at Cat Viper!
Meanwhile Jaune and Jack continue their vicious fight as it was clearing neither one of them was giving an edge to the other as they were pretty evenly matched! Jaune felt sweat running down his face as he knew that Jack was not like any other opponent he has faced before!
He was strong! As expected of an All-Star!
"Die!"shouted Jack as he suddenly began to transform.
Jaune and everyone else in the courtyard took a step back as before them Jack turned into a giant mammoth!
"What the heck!"shouted Blake, wondering what the heck was going on!
Jack meanwhile swung his trunk with such force that Jaune was forced back a few feet as his boots slided on the concrete floor as he tried his best to slow down the attack with his blades as he knew that if he got out of the way, the others would be struck by Jack's attack!
"Arc style: Jupiter's pull!"shouted Jaune as he bent his knees as far as he could before he released a jump like a frog and forced Jack's trunk back.
"What?!"said a very confused Jack.
Jaune then proceeded to lift up his swords as high as he could before he stabbed them into Jack's trunk, causing blood to come out!
"AHHHH...!"shouted Jack as he lifted up his trunk and transformed back into his humanoid form!
"YOU BASTARD!"yelled Jack as he charged as Jaune like a beast on a stampede!
Jaune meanwhile expected this as he charged that Jack! But Jack managed to get the upper hand and started slicing at the young man's skin!
"Jaune!"shouted Ruby and Pyrrha at the same time, as they were worried about their friend!
Jaune meanwhile did not say anything as his eyes became covered in shadow.
"What is the long face for, kid?"asked Oden on the first night Jaune stayed in Oden Castle.
...
"Ow! What was that for?!"asked Jaune after getting hit by Oden.
"Because you need to wipe that sad look on your face as it's starting to annoy me! So you're far away from your friends and family! What would they think about seeing you act like a depressed little piece of shit right now?! Huh?! They would tell you to get off your ass and start living again!"shouted Oden as he scolded Jaune.
...
"I...I'm just worried about my friends as I wonder if they're alive."said Jaune one night as he and Oden were having a conversation.
"What does your heart tell you?"asked Oden.
"That they are alive."responded Jaune with no hesitation.
"Then there's your answer."replied Oden.
"But?!"said Jaune, before Oden put his finger in front of him to shush him.
"Kid. I know this is not your world but you're here now and I believe you were here for a reason! Now how about you start smiling again as I know your friends wouldn't want to see you being a sad piece of crap all your life. They would want you to live on and live not only for yourself but for others."said Oden with a smile.
Jaune couldn't believe how patient this man was even though he was giving him a hard time for the last several days.
'Lord Oden took me in and despite me behaving like an immature brat. He was patient with being and was there to help me out when others would have just thrown me to the cruel streets for my behavior... I didn't deserve his kindness. I didn't deserve the food he gave me. I didn't deserve the attention he gave me. He brought me back from the brink of depression and give me a reason to live again! I owe the man everything and even though he's no longer here that my debt is still not repaid! So I will not stop fighting until I cut that bastard Kaido down with my swords, even if it's the last thing I ever do! So that's why...' thought Jaune before he fought back with his blades and managed to strike another slash into Jack.
"Until I repay my debt I refuse to be cut down by an underling like you!" shouted Jaune, as Jack was forced back with such force that he was knocked into a nearby building!
And a few seconds later a small explosion happened before everyone had to cover their eyes from a blinding flash of light!
Jaune ran over and check the rubble of the building but to his surprise Jack was gone! All that was left with some kind of device that look like a bomb. Jaune knew bombs in this world were usually powered by Gus but when he checked he saw there was no dust.
'What the hell is going on?!" wondered Jaune, as none of this made sense as there's no way a man that big could have gone away that fast!
Meanwhile Hazel was being forced back by Cat Viper! He was surprised that he never believed that someone with only one arm could actually fight so well!
Cat Viper then charge towards Hazel and began spinning around before striking him multiple times with his claws!
"Crimson Cat Dance!"shouted Cat Viper as Hazel's powerful Aura managed to be penetrated and slash marks appeared all over his body!
"Argh!"said Hazel as he felt pain for what felt like the first time in ages!
This made Hazel, Emerald, and Mercury nervous as they were forced back into a corner as it was clear that they were running out of steam to fight!
"What do we do?!"asked Mercury, as his boots were running out of ammunition.
"Don't worry. As long as we have Cinder with us we should be okay!"said Emerald as the elevator door open to reveal it was Yang standing there with the relic of knowledge.
"Raven?"asked Qrow, wondering where his backstabbing sister was.
"She ran away..."said Yang with sadness in her voice.
"And Cinder?"asked Ruby, as Yang didn't say anything.
Emerald quickly put the pieces together and soon began hyperventilating as she began pulling at her hair and skin before letting out a massive scream! She then turn to look at everyone who is responsible for her lady's downfall, especially the man who took so much from her!
"You!"shouted Emerald, as Jaune turn to face her.
Emerald then let out a massive scream as soon the room began to go dark and everyone looked on it's too large figures appeared.
One all the figures was a large pale woman with black veins appearing through her skin. She had dark red eyes and her white hair was shaped in a way like a spider's web! She was wearing a dark dress that look like it was made of the darkest material that could be found.
The second figure was a blue Mistralian dragon with two large sets of horns!
Everyone could only look on with fear as both figures charged that them as it was revealed to have been nothing more than an illusion! And as soon as the illusion was over it was revealed that Hazel, Emerald, Mercury, and Adam had used the confusion to get away as fast as they could!
"Who was that?!"asked Ruby, wondering what the heck they just saw!
"That was Salem. The dragon... I have no idea who that was."said Ozpin through Oscar.
"That was Kaido!"responded Cat Viper.
Meanwhile Leo was running to his office to get some things before he planned to leave as well as it was clear to him he could no longer stay at Haven now that his betrayal was discovered! He quickly ran into his office where he found Jaune waiting for him.
"Looking for this?!"said Jaune as he touched the duffel bag filled with belongings that someone would take with them if they plan to go on the run.
Leo quickly tried to attack Jaune with his weapon but Jaune cut the weapon off of his wrist with Kashu, before kicking Leo to the ground with his boot!
"I heard so many stories about the legendary Headmaster Leonardo Lionheart. How you were the bravest Huntsman of your time and that nothing could scare you. What happened to you?! What made you such a coward that you would betray everyone you knew! Everyone who called you friend!" shouted Jaune, wanting to know why Leo betrayed everyone.
"Opzin is the real traitor! You think he has told you everything but you're wrong! The Queen has told me everything and now I know that there is no hope in stopping her! So the only thing I could do was offer my services to her and survive!" shouted Leo in his defense.
"I thought you could be redeemed, but I was mistaken. Do you have any idea how many people, no Huntsman have been killed because of your cowardness! A little boy will grow up without his mother because of you! I overheard Qrow's conversations with Ozpin and now I know all those Huntsman are dead because of you! So I'm going to leave you to your fate."said Jaune as he began to walk out of the room.
"What do you mean?!"shouted Leo before he noticed some kind of jellyfish Grimm approaching him.
"Wait! Come back!"shouted Leo, but Jaune ignored him as he walked away from the office as fast as he could.
"Coward."said Jaune as he left the hallway that led to the office.
Meanwhile in her layer Salem had watched everything with interest. Jack, Cat Viper, Jaune.
"Interesting."said Salem as she wondered what was going on as even she had no idea.
Meanwhile Jaune made his way back to the main hall where he saw a team RWBY reunited as he saw Blake and Yang hugging after it appeared like Yang would never forgive her for running away.
Jaune smiled as he knew that the battle was far from over as Hazel and everyone else got away while leaving their cronies behind. The war was far from over but at least for today the Battle of Haven was won!
Meanwhile back at the Grand Line Jack was fished out of the sea by the Beast Pirates. He began to regain his senses and began to wonder if it was all a dream.
"What's this?"said Jack as he pulled out a dust crystal from his back.
Jack decide to keep hold of it for now as he had a feeling this crystal would be useful later...
Short chapter but I left a bit of mystery for you all...
