Would you tremble, if I touched your lips?
Would you laugh? - Hero by Enrique Iglesias

Mina's smile could have been seen from down the street and around the corner. She ran to catch my hands and pull me through the common room and into the elevator. She pushed the button for our floor, and slapped the 'door close' button.

"I thought we were done with love."

I shook my head, "No, I didn't say that. I just said no more until I was ready."

The doors opened and we stepped out and over to my room where Mina plopped on my bed and watched me dress in old shorts and a UA tee that I like to sleep in. "Okay, then tell me what happened? How'd you change your mind?"

I bit my lip, feeling my smile curl and a blush overtake my body. Shinso's warm hand and endearing earnestness rolled through my mind before I could turn around and face her. "Shinso-kun e-mailed me. I was so depressed still, but just a few words made me reconsider." I sat down next to her, "He said he wanted to make time for me. I don't think I've ever heard that before. It made me feel important."

"Wow," Mina flopped back and giggled, "That is really romantic! So, did anything happen?"

"We ate ice cream?"

"You don't have to tell me." She snorted. "But when you left, two more classmates asked for dates. Bakugo didn't accomplish his mission after all."

"Yeah, I just can't let him win me ever again." I set my alarm, "Are you sleeping over?"

"Nah," She got off the bed and pulled her shirt straight. She walked to the door, "I just wanted to let you know you have a date with Aoyama tomorrow night. He wants to take you to a nice dinner."

"How very fancy!" I giggled again, "Okay, who's the other?"

Her alien eyes widened and she gave me her look of pretend innocence, "Midoriya-kun."

"I..."

She came forward again, gripping my shoulder, "Midoriya cannot hurt you. Even if he wanted to." She released me, and opened the door, "Maybe you can get some answers."

"Good night, Mina-chan." She closed the door and I flopped down on my bed with a sigh. I'm pretty sure I don't need any more answers.

Saturday Evening

I knocked on Momo's door, hoping that she'd have an appropriate dress for a fancy dinner. Or even what one wore to a dinner when she didn't know where she was going or what was being served. When I had tried to ask Mina, she'd claimed ignorance. When I'd tried to get Aoyama to say where we were going to go, he merely said that it was 'tres magnifique' which I took to mean that it wasn't going to be a ramen shop.

Momo answered her door and I explained the situation. "I knew you were too tough to give up!"

She rubbed her chin and looked me up and down for a few uncomfortable seconds. "I think red. Yeah, I have the perfect dress."

She ushered me into her room and over to her closet. She threw the door open with a smile, and I goggled at the amount of fabrics and colors. She reached in and handed over a mid-length party dress with a pretty cowled neckline that would leave my collar bones bare while being perfectly modest. I took it from her and held it to my body. I would probably never be as tall as Momo, but this dress would fit beautifully.

"Thank you, Momo. I'll be careful while I wear it."

Momo smiled at me, "I should thank you. I appreciate what you're doing. You have more courage than anyone I know."

I gave her a little wave and left. Was I courageous? Maybe, with hero work, but could I improve outside that? Yes. I still had some way to go.

I went back to my room to change and otherwise ready myself for my date tonight. With Aoyama.

I rode the elevator down to the common room, where Yama was waiting, already en pose, a rose in his mouth, and tuxedo pants contrasting with a bright red suit jacket. He was wearing his signature ruffled shirt.

"Mademoiselle!" He plucked his rose, and with the other hand flourished a fresh one pulled from his sleeve.

I couldn't help myself, "That was fantastique!" I giggled and grabbed the rose as he executed a half-spin, causing everyone in the common room to either clap their hands over their eyes or sigh. Well, whatever for them, I thought, I was going to try and make the most out of this. If anything else, it was a free dinner and a show!

He pushed out his arm like in an old move, and I happily latched on, "Then let's be off!"

We strolled out of the dorms where he motioned at a limousine outside the gates, "Your carriage."

"Thank you." I smiled, and he swiped his ID, opening the portal, "Am I dressed appropriately?"

"Mais oui!" He dashed to the door, opening it, "After you."

I scooted in, and he closed the door behind himself. He watched me, and I was uncomfortably reminded of the team-up for our mid-term.

I scratched my cheek, "Aoyama.."

"Yuga, mon petit chou."

I laughed nervously, "Yuga-kun, do you remember telling me that I had a crush on Madoriya?"

He smiled, "It got you to let go of the bar."

"It did. I never thanked you for that."

He let his smile widen, "My dear, that isn't what you wanted to say."

I couldn't help but stare at him. He was so weird, and made nearly all of us uncomfortable, but I wondered at that moment if that weren't his plan all along. He was so perceptive! He acted goofy, but was he really just trying to make us happy? Or at the very least, underestimate him?

"No." I nervously drummed my fingers on my legs, "I did have a crush on him, but you knew."

He hummed an affirmative, "Oui. It was simple logic. But I sense that isn't it, either."

"Do you know how Midoriya feels?"

He turned away, looking out the darkly tinted windows a second before answering, "You, ma petit, are an open book. I don't mean this harshly. It is so, n'est-ce pas?" He turned back, "Le monstere vert…" He tapped his lip, "Not so easy."

Tapped his lip. I retrained my eyes on my lap. I knew in that instant that no matter how off-putting Yuga was or was not, he would be a friend to the very end. He only mentioned my crush to me. He would only talk about Midoriya's crush with him.

Yuga took me to an upscale French restaurant and ordered a very expensive cheese platter and charcuterie board that we shared. He talked about his parents and why he speaks French. I have never been so happy to have experienced this wonderfully cheesy date!

AN/ OMG, I looked up an expensive cheese platter, and it came up with this cheese wonderland costing over 1100 USD! I was just floored. I like cheese, but that's too much. A charcuterie board is a meat and condiment platter. Are you planning a date? This is amazing date food. Feel free to review, you rascal!
