Day 2
***AQUA'S DIARY ENTRY***
Dear Diary,
It feels like I haven't slept in days. My mind is restless, haunted by the images of losing Terra and Ventus, watching them turn to dust right before my eyes. It feels like a horrible nightmare, and I keep hoping that I'll wake up back at The Land of Departure with my friends by my side. But the harsh reality remains, and I must face it.
In an attempt to distract ourselves from the weight of our situation, I stumbled upon Peter Quill's Zune. Music might bring a sense of solace amidst the darkness that surrounds us. I must say, the song choices on this device are incredible. It's a small comfort, but even the brief moments of joy that music can bring are cherished in times like these. My Gummi Phone is of no use when it comes to music, and it's damaged from the conflict anyway.
Tony and Nebula continue to tirelessly monitor and repair the cracked power cells. We're moving at incredibly slow speeds to prevent any further malfunctions in the engine. Tony, despite being in considerable pain from Thanos' attack, remains stubborn and refuses to take the Elixir I offered him. He's determined to tough it out, but I worry for his well-being. Nebula, on the other hand, seems to be thawing a little. She spoke a bit more today, which is a positive sign.
Riku has started to speak up as well, but he's still lost and confused, just like the rest of us. There are so many questions swirling in his mind, and the lack of answers only adds to his frustration. We're all searching for meaning, for a way to make sense of the devastation we've witnessed.
Before I lay down to sleep tonight, I will take a moment to look at my Wayfinder charm. It serves as a reminder of the bonds I've formed with Terra and Ventus, and it brings me some comfort knowing that their light lives on within me. I will offer a prayer for them and for all our fallen friends—the Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Parker, and Doctor Strange. May their souls find their way to the Final World, where they can rest in peace.
Tomorrow is another day in this bleak journey. But I will continue to hold onto hope and find strength in the memories of those we've lost. We must keep moving forward, for their sake and for the sake of the universe.

***STEVE ROGERS MEMOIR ENTRY***
Memoir of Steve Rogers - Entry 1
Location: Avengers Headquarters, upstate New York
The weight of defeat hangs heavy upon us. We lost, all of us. Thanos, with a snap of his fingers, decimated half of all life in the universe and walked through a portal, leaving us to witness the devastating aftermath. I saw Bucky disappear before my very eyes, along with countless allies who fought valiantly by our side in Wakanda. It was a sight that will forever haunt me.
We have returned to Avengers HQ, seeking solace and a momentary respite from the chaos that surrounds us. The atmosphere is suffocating, with an overwhelming sense of loss and despair permeating the air. As the team's leader, I took it upon myself to conduct a debriefing, though it was clear that everyone was too exhausted and shattered to truly concentrate. I urged them to rest, to gather their strength for what lies ahead, but the heaviness in their hearts was palpable.
Kairi and Captain Goof, seeking a reprieve from the suffocating atmosphere, ventured outside to get some fresh air. Natasha joined me, and together we began the arduous task of searching for survivors who could potentially aid us in our mission. We also made it a priority to assess the world population count, attempting to grasp the magnitude of the loss we have suffered in the last 48 hours. The numbers, I fear, will be staggering.
I entrusted Bruce with the responsibility of finding any leads on Tony's whereabouts. Our Iron Man may yet be out there, fighting for survival. Bruce's expertise and determination will be invaluable in this search. Meanwhile, Rocket, Valkyrie, and Rhodey were given the opportunity to rest for now. However, I made it clear that we would soon require their skills and expertise in search and rescue operations. We would await further instructions from the Government or even Nick Furu, as we needed their resources and analysis to navigate this dire situation.
As I pen down these words, the gravity of our failure weighs heavily upon my soul. But I am reminded of the resilience and strength that resides within us, as individuals and as a team. We must find the courage to rise again, to rally against the darkness that has befallen us. Rest, even if fleeting, is necessary. But soon, we shall rise, united in purpose, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
***TONY'S RECORDING TO PEPPER***
[Sound of crackling and static as Tony Stark activates his damaged Iron Man helmet to record a voice message]
Hey, Pep. It's been another one hell of a day. I gotta say, this infection is starting to creep in. Got these small sneezes, feeling warm and sweaty palms going on. Might have to consider Aqua's Elixir, or as I call it, ""Florence Nightingale's Magic Potion" . But hey, I'm too busy to stop right now.
[Crackling intensifies]
Ah, the joys of cracked power cells. We had to slow down the ship's speed to avoid any catastrophic engine malfunctions. Can't afford to plow into a grid or explode, especially not with our luck lately. So, I'm crawling along, trying to keep this metal beast in one piece.
In a surprising turn of events, Nebula actually spoke to me today. I'm counting it as a win. We talked about our pasts, you know, the usual small talk. Me escaping that damn cave and becoming Iron Man, and her, well, being taken as a child by Thanos and ripped apart whenever she lost. Makes my dad's tough love seem like a walk in the park.
[Crackling subsides]
Oh, Riku spoke today too. Not much to say, though. Poor kid's still on autopilot, lost in his own world. I can see it in his eyes, the weight of failure and the burden of what happened. We've all been through a lot, but Riku...he's carrying something heavier. Losing his friends, watching them disappear right in front of him. It's tearing him apart.
We'll try to snap him out of it eventually. Maybe it's the trauma, the shock, or maybe he just needs time to process everything. I've been there, you know, feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But eventually, you find a way to push through, to keep going. I'll talk to him, try to offer some words of wisdom or encouragement. We're a team, after all. We need each other to get through this.
[Sound of music playing faintly in the background]
On a brighter note, that music Aqua found actually helps. Some decent songs came on, and I gotta admit, I really enjoyed that Beastie Boys track, "No Sleep till Brooklyn." A classic hit from the late '80s and early '90s. Had to explain to the Keyblade gang and Smurfette here what a great song it was. Aliens, I tell ya, they have no taste in popular music.
[Crackling returns]
Anyway, I miss you, Pep. And I love you. Just wanted to let you know. I'll report back tomorrow. Stay strong, and keep the home fires burning.
[Sound of helmet deactivating, followed by silence]
***CAROL DANVERS - CAPTAIN'S LOG***
Date: Terran Calendar - 29th April 2018
Location: Radiant Garden
It's been 48 hours since the distress signal from Radiant Garden. The chaos here shows no signs of abating. Yuffie and I met with the Radiant Garden Research Division to gather information and seek answers. Unfortunately, Ansem the Wise, along with many others from the facility such as Dillian, Naminé and Aeleus have turned to dust. Only Ienzo and Even remain, working tirelessly to understand the unfathomable events that have caused lives to be reduced to dust across the universe.
Ienzo handed me a book written by Ansem the Wise, delving into the intricacies of the Infinity Stones and their immense power. There might be a correlation between their power and the cataclysmic events unfolding around us. I will delve into Ansem's research, hoping to find some answers amidst this bewildering turmoil.
Yuffie is still reeling from the shock of losing Leon, Aerith, Sid, and Merlin. The weight of their absence hangs heavy in the air. There have been no communications from Valkyrie or Cloud either, and we have classified them as missing. The uncertainty and fear for their well-being are unsettling, but we must press on.
The Asgardian refugees, led by Thor and Valkyrie, have done their best to support the world's residents and band together in this time of crisis. However, with Thor and Valkyrie missing, Meik and Korg have stepped up to assume leadership responsibilities among the Asgardians. It's inspiring to witness their resilience and determination despite the overwhelming loss they have experienced.
I will allow Ienzo and Even to continue their tireless work in unraveling the mystery surrounding these catastrophic events. They possess great knowledge and have proven their dedication. We must find answers and devise a plan to prevent further devastation.
As the days go by, the weight of responsibility grows heavier on my shoulders. I must remain strong and focused as a leader, guiding those around me through this dark time. There is little room for doubt or despair. I will report back later with any significant developments or discoveries that may shed light on our current predicament.
Captain Carol Danvers, signing off for now.
***KAIRI'S JOURNAL ENTRY***
Quote of the day: "No matter where we are, our hearts are always connected." - Sora
These past two days have been a whirlwind of emotions and despair. We returned to Avengers HQ, broken and lost. Captain Steve Rogers did his best to rally the team, but deep down, he knew that each and every one of us was shattered inside. He encouraged us to rest, to gather our strength, but also to be prepared for whatever comes next. It's a delicate balance between healing and staying ready for the unknown.
Goofy and I stepped outside, seeking solace in the open air. The weight of the situation pressed heavily upon us, and tears flowed freely. Goofy, with his fatherly concern, expressed his worry for his son, Max, back in Disney Town. He longed to return and give him the tightest of hugs, reassuring him that everything will be alright. We discussed reaching out via the Gummi Phone, but the reception on Earth is abysmal, making communication nearly impossible. Goofy even suggested that Rocket could somehow send a signal to Disney Town, hoping to bridge the distance between loved ones.
Rhodey and Nat, ever thoughtful, offered Wanda's room to me, while Goofy took Vision's. Their gestures of kindness amidst the chaos touched my heart. It's a small respite in the midst of uncertainty, a reminder that we are not alone in this struggle.
Steve and Nat have been tirelessly working, pouring over world population records. The numbers keep rising, a grim reminder of the devastating loss that has swept across the globe. Meanwhile, Bruce continues his search for Tony Stark, hoping to find any trace of him. It's disheartening not knowing if Tony is safe or if he, too, has become a victim of this unimaginable catastrophe.
As for Nick Fury, his whereabouts remain unknown. Nat believes that finding him could be the key to unraveling the mysteries surrounding these events. We must embark on a hunt, to seek out the one person who may hold the answers we so desperately seek.
Tonight, I will try to find solace in sleep, even if it's just for a few hours. Tomorrow, Goofy and I will join the search and rescue efforts. My heart aches for my friends and worlds, especially for my mentor, Doctor Strange, and my dear friend, Riku. I pray that they are safe, that their light has found a way to navigate through the darkness that surrounds us.
In times like these, we must hold onto hope, even if it feels fleeting. We must stand together, supporting one another as we navigate this uncertain path. Our hearts are our strength, and no matter how scattered we may be, our bonds will endure.
May the light guide us through the darkness.
Kairi, signing off.
***RIKU'S THOUGHTS***
As I sit here in the dimly lit corner of the ship, my mind drifts back to simpler times. I can hear the faint music playing from Quill's Zune, its melodic tunes echoing through the air. Tony, despite his physical pain and the threat of infection, took a moment to explain how great a band called "The Beastie Boys" was during his youth. It was a rare moment of unity and bonding for our team, something that we desperately needed after witnessing the relentless toil that Tony and Nebula endured to fix the cracked power cells. Their tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Aqua, even in the midst of her own inner turmoil, continues to be a beacon of hope and team spirit. It amazes me how she manages to uplift our spirits, even when her heart must be weighed down by the loss we have all suffered. She finds Tony's cultural references amusing, even though she may not fully understand the context. I can't help but smile at her resilience and willingness to embrace moments of levity in the face of such darkness. Tony playfully referring to her as "Florence Nightingale" certainly brought a smile to her face, even though she may not have known the historical reference.
But as much as I try to find solace in these small moments, my thoughts inevitably return to our failure against Thanos. The memory of seeing our loved ones dusted away, the weight of defeat pressing upon my heart. I can't help but ponder Tony's words, "The Journey is the End." Is this the end of our journey? Have we truly failed in our mission to protect the universe?
The practical matters of survival occupy our minds as well. Our food and water supplies remain stable for now, but Tony's concern lies with the depleting oxygen levels within the ship. With four of us cramped in this slowly moving vessel, the air becomes thinner with each passing day. It's a constant reminder of our limited resources and the urgency to find a suitable world where we can land and seek help.
Tomorrow, I have decided to offer my assistance to Tony. Perhaps having all hands on deck will prove more fruitful than just the two of them working tirelessly. Together, we can increase our chances of finding a habitable world, a place where we can regroup and strategize our next move.
The weight of failure and despair still hangs heavily upon my shoulders. But I must push forward, for the sake of those we have lost and for the hope that still flickers within our hearts. The road ahead may be treacherous and uncertain, but we must persevere. We owe it to ourselves and to the universe we fight to protect.
***RESEARCH REPORT BY EVEN***
Report: Analysis of Cataclysmic Event
Date: 29th April 2018 Location: Radiant Garden
The events that have unfolded in the past 48 hours have left the Research Facility in utter chaos and despair. Ansem the Wise, along with the other assistants, disappeared into nothingness, leaving only myself and Ienzo as the remaining survivors. We have been working tirelessly to make sense of the cataclysmic event that has shaken the very foundations of our world.
We are deeply grateful to Captain Danvers, who responded to young Yuffie's distress call and arrived to offer her assistance in bringing some semblance of control to the situation. However, there is still much we need to understand. The disappearance of our esteemed colleagues and the devastating impact on our world demand thorough investigation.
In our relentless pursuit of knowledge, Ienzo has provided Captain Danvers with a research book penned by Ansem the Wise. This book contains invaluable information regarding his work on the Infinity Stones. We believe that further study and analysis of this material may shed light on the identity and nature of the cataclysm that is not only affecting our world but many others as well.
It is evident that the phenomenon we are facing extends beyond the boundaries of our immediate environment. We must broaden our scope of research to comprehend the full extent of this cataclysm and its implications. Our primary focus will be on understanding the power of the Infinity Stones and any potential correlation they may have with the current crisis.
The path ahead is fraught with uncertainty, but we are resolved to persevere in our pursuit of knowledge. It is our duty to uncover the truth and find a way to restore balance to the shattered universe. We owe it to those who have been lost and to those who still cling to hope.
Further research, collaboration, and cooperation with the Avengers and other capable allies will be essential in unraveling the mysteries that lie before us. We must pool our collective wisdom and resources to navigate through this dark and uncertain time.
The journey ahead is arduous, but with diligence and determination, we shall overcome the challenges that lie in our path. The fate of countless worlds hangs in the balance, and it is our responsibility to ensure that the light of knowledge prevails over the encroaching darkness.
Even, Research Division, Radiant Garden
