Day 8

***LEA'S GUMMI PHONE RECORDING***

Hey, it's Lea. Man, what a crazy 24 hours it's been. I mean, seriously, I feel like I've been caught in a whirlwind of emotions and mind-bending adventures. But hey, that's just another day in the life of yours truly.

So, here's the deal. After feeling all alone in Twilight Town and desperately seeking answers, I got a surprise visit from the God of Thunder himself—Thor. And let me tell you, he didn't disappoint. He used his fancy bifrost to teleport me straight to the Avengers compound on Earth. Talk about a grand entrance, am I right?

As I landed outside the Avengers compound, I was greeted by Kairi and Goofy, and let me tell you, it was a mixture of relief and devastation. They survived the snap, but learning that Donald and Mickey turned to dust... it hit hard. And then there's Yen Sid, Roxas, Xion, and Isa... all gone in an instant. The pain of losing friends, of losing family, it's overwhelming.

Steve Rogers led me inside the compound for a briefing, and as we gathered in a room with the rest of the team, the weight of the situation settled upon us. I listened intently as each member of the Avengers took turns sharing their accounts of what transpired during the battle with Thanos, their voices filled with a mix of sorrow, anger, and determination.

Natasha Romanoff, her eyes filled with pain, recounted the chaos that unfolded in Wakanda. The desperate fight to protect Vision, to prevent Thanos from obtaining the Mind Stone. But in the end, Thanos ripped it from Vision's head, leaving us all with a profound sense of loss.

Bruce Banner's voice trembled as he recalled the moment when Thanos clenched his fist, completing the snap that sent shockwaves through the universe. The devastation was incomprehensible, as friends, loved ones, and innocents disintegrated into nothingness. The enormity of the loss was overwhelming.

Rhodey's gaze hardened as he spoke of the valiant efforts made to stop Thanos, particularly Thor's desperate attempt to strike him down. But even Thor's mighty blow couldn't prevent the snap. I glanced at Thor and saw the weight of his perceived failure etched upon his face. It was a moment of defeat that pierced through his godly exterior.

The room fell silent for a moment, the gravity of our collective experiences sinking in. We were all survivors, witnesses to the unimaginable, and now tasked with finding a way to undo the devastation. The pain and suffering inflicted by Thanos seemed senseless, his twisted ideology of balance appearing even more unfathomable in the face of such destruction.

Steve offered me a place to stay with the Avengers for now, and I gratefully accepted. Rest was much needed after everything that had transpired. In between moments of processing the losses, I found myself asking Kairi and Goofy about the others—Sora, Riku, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. Kairi informed me that Riku ended up in space, protecting the Time Stone and Doctor Strange. Sora is still missing, and contact with Terra, Aqua, and Ventus has been lost. They are declared missing as well. It's disheartening to hear, to know that our friends are out there somewhere, but we can't reach them.

Goofy mentioned his GummiPhone, but it hasn't been working properly. They've been trying to reverse engineer it with a member of their team's help, but so far, no luck. That little device could be our lifeline to finding the missing, to bringing our friends back together. Maybe Thor, with his fancy bifrost, can lend a hand tomorrow. We're all exhausted from days of searching, but we'll find a way to make it work.

Now, here's the exciting part. Kairi and Goofy will be joining Thor tomorrow as they use that fancy bifrost of his to seek clarity on other worlds. They're on a mission to find out where Sora, Riku, Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and some dude named Tony Stark—who apparently traveled into space with Riku. It's about time we bring our friends back together, right?

Steve asked if I would join Thor, Kairi and Goofy on the Search and Rescue mission tomorrow. It was an offer I couldn't refuse. We need to do everything we can to help and find our missing friends and bring them home.

As I sign off this voice note, I can't help but feel a mix of happiness and heaviness in my heart. It's a relief to see old friends safe and sound, but the weight of the losses we've suffered hangs over us. Time will tell what lies ahead for us, but one thing is for certain—we'll keep fighting, we'll keep searching, and we won't rest until we find our loved ones and bring them back to where they belong.

***CAROL DANVERS - CAPTAINS LOG***

Finally, Jiminy and I have arrived safely in Radiant Garden. The sight of Yuffie's familiar face brought a sense of relief after such a long trip. Yuffie wasted no time in explaining the events that unfolded here to Jiminy, and it was disheartening to hear. Leon, Aerith, Merlin, and Sid are no longer with us, Jiminy's heart sank and showed we've suffered heavily on our hearts, but we must press on.

Jiminy shared his own experience, mentioning how he found himself in Traverse Town amidst the devastation. His resilience and determination to find me were truly remarkable, and I'm grateful to have him by my side. We recounted our separate journeys, sharing the grim realities we witnessed on various worlds. It's becoming increasingly clear that the suffering caused by Thanos has reached far beyond Earth, affecting countless planets and civilizations.

Even and Ienzo joined the conversation and provided valuable insight and research. Ienzo mentioned that Ansem the Wise had been working on a confidential project before he too fell victim to the snap. Intrigued by this information, I asked Ienzo to delve deeper into Ansem's research and report back to me with any findings. We need every piece of information we can gather to understand the extent of what we're facing.

With the assurance that Yuffie, Ienzo, and Even would look after Jiminy, I knew I had to continue my reconnaissance across other worlds and planets. The urgency to assess the situation and offer aid wherever possible compelled me to leave Radiant Garden swiftly, zooming into space with determination burning in my core.

As I traverse the cosmos, my thoughts keep drifting back to that fateful night over a decade ago when I saved a child from a crashing pod on Destiny Islands. I often wonder if that child is safe and if the world they called home has weathered the storm. It's moments like these that remind me why I fight, why I search tirelessly for answers and solutions amidst the chaos.

My next destination is the Destiny Islands. I need to see for myself if the world is doing okay and if that child I saved so long ago has managed to survive through these trying times. It's a personal mission of hope and a reminder that even in the darkest of moments, there is always a glimmer of light to hold onto.

Captain Carol Danvers, signing off.

***AQUA'S DIARY ENTRY***

Dearest Diary,

Today has been another bleak day aboard the Benatar. Our supplies continue to dwindle, and hunger gnaws at our stomachs. In an act of selflessness, I gave my share of food to Tony, knowing that his strength is crucial in fixing the ship and finding a way to extend our flight time. His determination is commendable, as he tirelessly works on reversing the ion charge to buy us more precious moments.

The scarcity of food and water is taking its toll on all of us. We grow weak, disoriented, and desperate. The fear of depleting oxygen levels hangs heavy in the air, reminding us of the fragile nature of our existence in this isolated vessel. Riku and Nebula lend their expertise to Tony's plan, and together, we strive to find a solution.

I attempted to send out another distress transmission today, hoping against hope that someone out there will hear our plea for help. It's disheartening that our calls seem to fall on deaf ears, but we must persevere. We cannot lose hope, even in the face of such dire circumstances.

As the day wore on, Tony needed a moment of respite from the grueling work. I found him tinkering with his helmet, a sanctuary where he records messages to Pepper, his therapy in this desolate environment. I understand the need to find solace in writing, as I pour my thoughts onto these pages.

I must admit, writing in this diary has become increasingly difficult. The combination of sleep deprivation, hunger, and the fluctuating power on the ship, causing the lights to flicker, weighs heavily on my ability to focus. Yet, I persist, knowing that capturing these moments is a testament to our resilience, our determination to survive against all odds.

It is undeniably tough, but we are survivors. We have faced darkness before, and we will continue to forge ahead. We must cling to the belief that there is a way out of this desperate situation, that we will find a path back to Earth, where help and hope await.

***KAIRI'S JOURNAL ENTRY***

Last night was a moment of joy amidst the darkness as we were reunited with Lea. It fills my heart with relief and gratitude to see him alive and well. I am immensely thankful to Thor for finding him and bringing him to the Avengers. Lea and I have a long history together, and our bond has only grown stronger over time.

I am grateful to Steve and the rest of the team for welcoming Lea into our group. They have not only accepted me and Goofy but have also embraced Lea as part of our mission. It's comforting to know that we have found allies in these troubled times.

Lea mentioned last night that he has been unable to make contact with other allies, such as Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. We have tried using the GummiPhone to communicate, but it seems to be malfunctioning for all of us. Rocket has been tirelessly working on fixing Goofy's phone, hoping to establish a signal, but so far, we have had no luck. He believes he might have a breakthrough in a day or two, so we hold onto that glimmer of hope.

Thor possesses the ability to travel across the cosmos using the Bifrost. Lea suggested that he could assist us in checking on other worlds, especially Goofy's home. Thor has agreed to help, although I sense a weariness and detachment in his demeanor. The weight of recent events seems to have taken its toll on him.

Tomorrow, at Steve's direction, Goofy, Thor, Lea, and I will embark on a Search and Rescue mission across these worlds. Our task is to conduct headcounts, assess the situation, and identify any potential allies who can aid Earth in the future. It will be a challenging but necessary undertaking.

But for today, our focus is on helping Lea adjust to his new surroundings and briefing him on the events surrounding Thanos and the snap. We want him to feel at home and ready for the journey ahead. I am filled with optimism as we prepare to travel again, hoping to find clues about the whereabouts of Riku, Strange, Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and most importantly, Sora.

As I conclude this entry, I hold onto the hope that we will find our friends alive and well. We will not rest until we have exhausted every possibility and reunited our cherished companions. Together, we will navigate through the darkness, seeking the light that will guide us towards a brighter future.

***AVENGER'S COMPOUND - NIGHT 8***

The Avengers Compound was cast in the gentle glow of the setting sun, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. Inside, Kairi, Goofy, and Lea gathered around the meeting table, their weary expressions reflecting the toll that recent events had taken on them. They clutched their mugs, the warmth seeping into their hands, providing a small measure of comfort amidst the uncertainty.

As they sipped their drinks, the silence was broken by Goofy, who let out a heavy sigh. "Life sure knows how to throw us for a loop, doesn't it?" he mused, his voice tinged with both exhaustion and a spark of hope.

Kairi nodded, a soft smile playing at her lips. "It's true. One moment we were fighting side by side at the Keyblade Graveyard, and now... we're what's left."

Lea's eyes flickered with curiosity as he gazed at Kairi. "Hey, Kairi," he began, his tone gentle yet filled with intrigue, "What happened to you after that? The last thing I remember was seeing you being sacrificed by Xehanort."

"I... I floated across the realms, searching for Sora. He was the only one who could bring me back," Kairi explained, her voice tinged with a mix of wonder and uncertainty. "But it was Doctor Strange who found me. He used his immense powers to rebuild my mind, heart, and spirit. He gave me a second chance."

Goofy scratched his head, his brows furrowing with concern. "That's somethin', Kairi. But what about Sora? We've been searching for him, but he's nowhere to be found."

Lea's eyes widened, a spark of determination flaring within him. "Yeah, Kairi. We've been trying to track him down. Yen Sid tasked a lot of us to find you both. It's like Sora disappeared into thin air when he left, radio silent even."

Kairi's voice trembled with a mix of hope and worry. "I know, it's been so long... We'll find him, Lea, Goofy. We have to believe that. Sora wouldn't give up on us."

Goofy nodded, a determined gleam in his eyes. "You're right, Kairi. Sora's got a heart of gold. He won't leave us hangin'."

Lea's lips curved into a small, reassuring smile. "Destiny's a funny thing, ain't it? We've come so far, faced so much. But we'll keep going, no matter what."

As the night deepened and the stars began to twinkle above, the bond between the three friends grew stronger. They shared stories, laughter, and even moments of vulnerability. They found solace in each other's company, drawing strength from the unbreakable bonds forged through their shared battles and experiences.

Thor's entrance brought a brief moment of levity to the room, as he sauntered in with a can of beer in his hand. Lea grinned and gestured for him to join them. "Hey, big guy, pull up a chair," he said, his tone warm and inviting.

Thor settled into a seat, his weary gaze meeting the eyes of his newfound friends. He took a deep breath, as if preparing himself to share the weight of his burdens.

"You know," he began, his voice tinged with a mix of sorrow and resolve, "Before the snap, I had already lost so much. I lost my mother, my father, my hammer, my home... And then, half of my people were taken from me."

Lea's expression softened, and he nodded in understanding. "I can't even imagine what you've been through," he said, his voice filled with empathy.

Thor continued, his voice heavy with the weight of his experiences. "And then... I saw so many people die when Thanos snapped his fingers. The pain, the suffering... it was unimaginable. I traveled across the other worlds in the past week, and the devastation... it's unlike anything I've ever witnessed."

Kairi, her heart filled with compassion, reached out a hand to touch Thor's arm gently. "Thor, you've endured so much, and yet you stand here with us. That takes incredible strength. You're stronger than you know."

Goofy, his voice brimming with loyalty and camaraderie, chimed in. "That's right, Thor. We're a team now, and we're all for one and one for all. We're here for each other, through thick and thin."

Lea nodded in agreement, a fire burning in his eyes. "You know, without you, I wouldn't be sitting here, sharing a cup of coffee with my friends. You've brought us together, Thor."

Thor's expression softened, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thank you, my friends. I appreciate your words and your support. Tomorrow, we embark on a new journey, traveling across the Bifrost. We must be prepared, fellow warriors."

With those final words, the four of them rose from their seats, bidding each other a restful night. Kairi settled onto her bed, her thoughts lingering on Sora, her heart aching for his return. She knew they faced great challenges ahead, but with their newfound strength and unity, they would face them together. And deep down, she held onto a glimmer of hope, believing that they would find their missing friends and bring an end to the darkness that plagued their worlds.

***BENATAR - DAY 8***

The atmosphere aboard the Benatar was heavy with exhaustion and weariness, the four heroes visibly drained from their ordeals. Aqua watched as Tony tinkered with his helmet, a determined look on his face. She couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for his resilience, even in the face of such dire circumstances.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Aqua turned to Tony and asked, "What's Pepper like? You speak of her with such fondness."

Tony's face softened, a gentle smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Pepper... she's incredible," he began, his voice filled with warmth. "She's smart, compassionate, and always knows how to keep me grounded. I mean, I trashed all my suits for her, but I'm too stubborn to stop being Iron Man. I want to protect her with everything I have."

Riku, who had been sitting nearby, listening to their conversation, interjected. "Must be nice, having someone like that in your life," he mused, a hint of wistfulness in his voice. "I've been too busy saving worlds from darkness to even think about relationships."

Tony raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, what about this Kairi you mentioned the other night? Could she be that special someone?"

Riku's cheeks tinged with a faint blush as he shook his head. "No, Kairi's heart belongs to someone else. Her heart has always been for Sora."

Leaning forward, Tony's curiosity piqued. "Ah, a love triangle, huh? Sounds like you've got yourself caught in the middle, my friend."

Riku sighed and ran a hand through his hair, a mix of frustration and fondness evident in his voice. "It's not like that, Tony. Kairi and I have been friends since we were kids. We've been through countless adventures together, and our bond is strong. But her heart has always belonged to Sora, and I respect that."

Tony's eyebrows shot up, a playful grin spreading across his face. "Ah, unrequited love. The stuff of legends. But hey, you never know what the future holds. Love has a funny way of surprising us when we least expect it."

Riku chuckled, appreciating Tony's attempt to lighten the mood. "That's true. But right now, our focus is to survive, find our missing friends and put an end to this crisis. Love can wait until we've saved the universe."

Nebula chimed in, her tone tinged with a hint of amusement. "Ah, the complexities of human emotions. It's fascinating to see how it affects even the strongest of warriors."

Tony nodded, his playful expression shifting to one of empathy. "You've got a point. But in times like these, it's important to hold onto the things that give us strength, whether it's friendship, love, or a sense of purpose."

Turning his attention to Aqua who was sitting close by, Tony began asking Aqua about her love life back home.

"So, Florence. Any relationships back home for you?"

Aqua couldn't help but chuckle at their banter. "Well, as for me, I was too busy being stuck in the realm of darkness to even consider relationships or any of that matter."

Tony smirked, his gaze shifting to Aqua. "What about that Terra guy? He's tall, dark, and handsome. Could he be your special someone?"

Aqua's face flushed with embarrassment, and she playfully swatted Tony's arm. "No way, Tony! Terra was more like a brother to me. We had been through so much together."

Leaning back in his seat, Tony gave a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Come on, Aqua, don't tell me you've never had any feelings for him. I saw the way you two fought side by side on Titan, the way you protected each other. It was like something straight out of a romance novel."

Aqua's cheeks grew even warmer, a mixture of embarrassment and amusement coloring her expression. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Tony, you have quite the imagination. But trust me, there's nothing romantic between Terra and me. We share a deep bond forged through our experiences, but it's more like a sibling relationship."

Tony chuckled, undeterred by Aqua's protest. "Well, if you say so, Aqua. But I've seen the sparks fly in the heat of battle before, and you two definitely had something going on. Just remember, it's okay to explore your feelings. Life's too short, especially in our current predicament."

Aqua couldn't help but smile at Tony's playful persistence. She appreciated his lightheartedness amidst the darkness that surrounded them.

"Maybe you're right, Tony. But for now, our focus needs to be on getting back home and finding a way to reverse what Thanos has done. Relationships can wait."

Nebula, who had been observing their exchange with a hint of amusement, interjected. "Ah, young love. It's fascinating to see how even heroes like you can have their own personal dramas amidst the chaos of the universe."

Nodding, Tony's expression turned more serious. "You're right, Nebs. We've got a lot on our plate right now, and our priority is to fix this mess. But don't forget to live a little along the way. Who knows what the future holds?"

Their lighthearted exchange provided a brief respite from the bleakness of their situation, a fleeting moment of camaraderie amidst the despair. Even in the face of uncertainty and darkness, they found solace in these small moments of laughter and friendship.
