Just as the episode was, time to go and claim the Failsafe and stop the Heart of Etheria, but that will be changed up a bit so that it won't be an emotional thing to hassle for someone, but still might be a painful thing. The final battle to defeat Horde Prime, is closing in. enjoy reading this guys.

Spells and Louds.
Chapter 1,076: To the Failsafe.

(The new Rebels Camp, in the deepest parts of the Whispering Woods.)

Shadow Weaver and Castaspella are back, to wherever they went and then Bow asks. "So, where have you two been this whole time?"

Shadow Weaver then speaks. "While you were off drifting into space, some of us have been working hard to prevent the heart of Etheria from falling into Prime's hands, but it seems you did more than just that, and have recruited new allies. It is an odd moment to meet, the guardian."

Gyro doesn't like seeing Shadow Weaver, even if he never even met her, and yet he was told about her. "Likewise, and even though we have never met. For some reason... I just, hate you a lot."

Shadow Weaver smirks. "I get that a lot." She then looks to the others. "We have discovered what you just did. Rumors of a failsafe that will break the restraints that the First Ones built long ago when they resided on this world, and will set the magic free."

Glimmer is outraged hearing this. "Are you kidding me? Even after what you did last time, you're still going after the heart of Etheria?!"

Luna scoffs. "Seems like she is still going after it. But if she does plan to betray, I'll make sure her soul serves the remnants of the scourge for all eternity."

Catra smirks. "Please do, it would make everything for all of us a bit easier." Shadow Weaver didn't like hearing that from a former ally, and still enemy.

Neil then shows up. "Hey guys, sorry for being late. So, my swarm forces will be here for when the..." He then sees them looking to him sternly. "And apparently I am interrupting something. I will be outside, next to the rainbow mane Alicorn." He then takes his leave.

Castaspella then goes over, to try and comfort Glimmer. "Glimmer, I am helping her so we could free your father, and the rest of our world and home. Shadow Weaver is a lesser evil, compared to the true evil we're facing."

Catra scoffs, while Melog growls. "At least you admit that she's evil."

Shadow Weaver looks to Catra. "You're one to talk, aren't you?"

This angers Catra, and Melog, but then Adora intervenes and she speaks. "Tell us what you know of the failsafe. What makes you think it is in Mystacor?"

Shadow Weaver then explains to them. "As any well-known sorcerer knows, Mystacor was built over the remains of a First Ones Citadel, and beneath Mystacor..."

Then Castaspella intervenes. "Oh, can I tell them this part?" The others are confused.

Shadow Weaver sighs. "Go ahead." she sounds annoyed.

Castaspella then tells them, and tries to make it suspenseful. "Beneath Mystacor, there are many tunnels and rooms, hidden and sealed off. No one has able to access them for centuries, but there are whispers of what they contain..."

Then Shadow Weaver interrupts Castaspella. "An artifact known as the Crystal of Arxia hidden there by traitorous First Ones."

Castaspella is infuriated by this. "You said that I could do it!"

Shadow Weaver sighs. "You were taking too long."

Gyro smirks, and is about to laugh, and same with Leon and the others. Sergei is confused. "I don't get it, Shadow Weaver is right, she was taking too long with her words. What is this, a campfire story?"

"My thoughts exactly" replied Shadow Weaver, and this makes Castaspella grumble.

Bow then recalls what his dad's discovered. "Arxia that must be what Mara's rebels were talking about. The outpost must be somewhere beneath Mystacor."

Shadow Weaver then speaks. "Reaching it will not be easy, for I have spent my whole life studying the secrets of Mystacor. I can get us in?"

Then Adora asks. "If you managed to figure that out on your own, then why come back here? Why do you need us at all and why even tell us?" This makes the others suspicious.

Shadow Weaver then explains. "Because Mystacor is currently controlled by the current controlled Micah, the same one who is controlled by Horde Prime." To hear that name, makes Glimmer upset. Micah, is her father. "You have all allowed Horde Prime to cover more ground, and if he reaches the heart then it will all be over."

Gyro then speaks. "Well then, let's get going. We don't have much time, and if we can claim the failsafe then we can secure a victory and stop this madness before everything is lost."

Adora sighs. "Guys, this is our only lead. But it will have to be a stealth mission. Catra, can you and Melog try to..." they see that they are gone.

Shadow Weaver then speaks. "Leave her to sulk, we must..."

"You guys get ready" replied Adora, and she walks away from Shadow Weaver. "I'm gonna go and find her. We need Catra's help." She then walks away from them, and this doesn't please Shadow Weaver, but he sees the guardian glare at her, and she walks away.

They all need to get ready, and Gyro speaks to the others. "I will go with them, and same with Lincoln, Luna and Sam. Victor, Leon and Sergei are to remain here and help support with whatever Entrapta has planned. Sound good?"

They all nod and they head off to prepare. Deep down, Gyro has this bad feeling, about what Shadow Weaver said, and then he looks to his staff. The same staff once used, by his former mentor, Medivh.

(Mystacor)

The group have arrived, and thanks to Shadow Weaver and her teleport, the guardian would've done it but he doesn't know where Mystacor is. The group is composed of: Adora, Catra, Melog, Bow, Glimmer, Lincoln, Luna, Sam, Gyro, Castaspella and Shadow Weaver.

They all manage to sneak by the guards of the place, and the ones guarding seem to be friends of theirs who have been controlled by Horde Prime. Melog helps with cloaking everyone, while Gyro makes them intangible for anyone to make contact with anything else.

They all make it inside, but then Shadow Weaver stops them and they see why. At the end of the hall, guarding the door is Micah and he is still under the control from Horde Prime. Glimmer is surprised to see her father, and to be controlled by the enemy.

Gyro then makes sure they aren't making any sound, he casts a spell to channel their volumes away from their enemies. They try to calm down Glimmer, and even Castaspella is freaked out by this, she didn't like to see Micah controlled by the enemy. It hurts them both.

Shadow Weaver then signals them, to move. Micah has left the halls, and walks away down another hallway. They manage to slip by some more guards, and they do stop when a guard is in the area, and Luna grabs Catra, and they remain silent as the guard walks by.

They then sneak off, and they are glad nothing else bad happened. They then arrive to this wall, with a diamond hieroglyph, and they break stealth. "We're here, now follow my lead" replied Shadow Weaver.

Then Castaspella speaks. "May I please kill you?" they both do an incantation with their hands, and they manage to break the secret veil, and the wall reveals the secret door, and Gyro is impressed. They all head on through, and they close the door.

"What are the odds that they will know of this?" asked Lincoln.

"They will know" replied Shadow Weaver. "Micah is obviously aware now that someone has entered these halls. His powers, have doubled in their strength now that he is under the control of Horde Prime."

"And that's not good at all" replied Sam, and so they go down the hallway of this secret place, to look for what they seek. Gyro does leave behind some rune traps, in case someone follows them then they will be held back and ensure they don't stop them.

Bow sees the images on the wall. "What is all of this?"

Castaspella then answers. "We're on the right path. The Crystal of Arxia was meant to be the key to reaching the deep and strong magic within Etheria. Many have tried, but failed to find it. But those who hunger for more power have long studied other ways to claim this magic, with disastrous results." She looks to Shadow Weaver and she knows what she means.

"The spell of Obtainment was a mistake" replied Shadow Weaver. "One of which I have paid the price. I don't see why you keep on bringing it back up?" This confuses the guardian, he is now really suspicious about Shadow Weaver.

Castaspella looks to Shadow Weaver sternly. "You roped my brother into your twisted magic when he was a child, it could've killed him." Glimmer tries to calm her down.

Shadow Weaver then explains. "It would have worked if he had not broken the connection. You're brother, Micah was an exceptional sorcerer. It is a shame that it did not run in the family." That angers Castaspella and she walks off, and the others follow.

Lincoln sighs. "Wow. You are one cold hearted, cruel, emotionless and dark demented psycho sorcerer. We have seen many of your kind in many conflicts, and most of the times..."

Luna continues. "They don't come back."

Gyro sighs. "They have a point, and there is always a chance for you to change, at least." Gyro follows the others, and then Shadow Weaver follows, but she thinks about what the guardian said.

The group go down a set of stairs, and Shadow Weaver sees something, and same with Gyro, but Adora keeps going and she steps onto these runes. "Wait, Adora!"

Adora turns around, but it is too late, and she stepped on the runes and she is surrounded by fire. "Adora!" Catra jumps in, and she gets Adora out, and she is on top of her, and both are stunned by what just happened.

"I'm okay, I'm okay" replied Adora, this makes Catra happy, but then Adora has a smug look. "Did you jump into a fire for me?"

"What?!" Catra blushes, and she gets up. "No, and shut up!" The others see the fire.

Sam touches it, and so does Glimmer. "Wow, an illusion. Smart to leave this and insight some fear to any trespassers" replied Sam, and she goes through and so do the others.

But then Shadow Weaver speaks. "These traps are not to be meddled with. Though some seem as illusions..."

Gyro knows what she means. "There are some that are possibly real. We should be careful on where we tread." They all nod, and proceed on through, and are careful.

They continue down the halls of fake flames, and though the others don't know this, Catra can hear a conversation between Adora and Shadow Weaver, and it has something to do with the emotions of Adora clouding her ability to become She-Ra, and this concerns Catra. Luna and Sam notice this, and they know that there is something special between Adora and Catra, that they are more than just friends.

They all arrive, and they pass by some more fake flames. "Alrighty then, so there are no real flames, and that is a good thing and... Sweet Sister Francis over the State of Ohio." Gyro and the others see the large and tall crystal, which is known as. "The Crystal of Arxia."

Glimmer is surprised seeing this thing. "That is the failsafe?"

Bow is amazed and also baffled. "It's bigger than I thought."

Luna then asks. "Dudes, how in the heck do we get this thing to the heart?"

Shadow Weaver then reveals what she never did before. "The Failsafe is not an object, the failsafe is a code." She then looks to the others. "It is stored, from inside the Crystal."

Adora then asks. "So, what do we do?"

Shadow Weaver then guides Adora. "It needs a password." She has Adora place her hand on the crystal. "And I think you know what it is."

Adora knows what she means, and then she speaks. "We're friends of Mara."

The Crystal glows brightly, and shows glowing runes, and then it splits into four, with the fourth one floating above and showing more runes. Now this does amaze everyone, but to the guardian it feels like Draenor and Argus all over again. Gyro can barely understand the runic language on them.

Glimmer then asks. "What does it say?"

Adora looks to the runes, and she reads them. "Someone has to go inside and... Accept the failsafe? What the heck does that mean?"

Shadow Weaver then explains even further. "It means the failsafe needs to be bonded within a living soul, and then carried into the heart of Etheria within the hosts body, in which they it will be deployed." This shocks them, and Gyro has a strong grip on his staff.

Bow then asks with concern. "Are you sure that's safe?"

Shadow Weaver sighs. "We have to act now." she then looks to Adora. "The failsafe is now within our grasp."

Adora nods and she does as Shadow Weaver says, she goes towards the Crystal of Arxia, but then Catra holds her hand and stops her. "Adora, don't go in there!"

This angers Shadow Weaver. "Catra, this is not the time. Someone has to take the..."

"So you do it" replied Catra, and the others also look to Shadow Weaver on why it must be Adora. "I've been watching you, the whole way in, and that means you have been down here before. You could've gotten the failsafe and then claim all the power for yourself, but you didn't. Why?"

They all look to Shadow Weaver, with suspicion of what she never bothered to tell everyone. Shadow Weaver then makes an excuse. "You are being paranoid, Adora must be the one to..."

"Why does it have to be her?" asked Lincoln, and he has his mask on and his blaster to full charge. "You aren't tell us everything, so tell us what is going to happen to her?"

This annoys Shadow Weaver, and she sees no other choice but to tell them. "Whoever uses the failsafe, must absorb the full magic of the heart of Etheria once it is destroyed, that much raw magical power would burn any mere mortal apart. None of us are strong enough."

"But She-Ra is..." they see Adora looking to the crystal with concern.

Shadow Weaver nods. "Only She-Ra can survive the process that no one else can do it."

Adora has some concerns and then she asks. "And if I don't survive it?"

Shadow Weaver then continues. "Then the magic will be restored to Etheria, through your sacrifice..." This surprises everyone and some of them are horrified. "You will risk your life to ensure that the magic will be saved. Prime will be defeated, and your friends will be free." This horrifies Catra to the core, and same with the others. The Royal Defenders feel like they have heard of this kind of stick before and it hurts to know.

Castaspella yells. "You have been planning this all along!"

Catra asks. "Why are you surprised by this?!"

Glimmer speaks. "This is not going to work, there has to be some other way."

Bow yells. "There is no other way are we going to risk Adora like that!"

Lincoln speaks. "Can't there be some other way to make this happen?"

Luna speaks as well. "Dudes, this is messed up and Adora might not even make it!"

Adora is feeling stressed hearing them all argue against Shadow Weaver, and Gyro can see this. He looks to his staff and recalls something about the power of She-Ra, the Sword of Protection and how strong she truly is. "Almost like... A Guardian..."

Without hesitation, Adora heads for the Crystal, Catra and Melog try to stop her, but before Adora goes there to claim the failsafe, Gyro pushes her aside. He then thinks about what he is doing, he looks to the staff he wields. "I guess, there are some things in the past that need to try and regain, some redemption. My mentor." He then throws his staff into the crystal.

This alarms Shadow Weaver. "No! You fool, that will not..." the staff stays still and vibrates, and a ton of energy is now glowing from it and the code of the Failsafe is reveled. "Going to work... How?"

The staff then glows and speaks with a voice, a voice which Gyro hasn't heard in a long time. "You have done well, my old friend. You have figured it out... The true power of this staff, is to that of what the First Ones have built long ago..." the voice fades and the Failsafe enters the staff.

Gyro is surprised, and so are the others. "Medivh."

The staff continues to glow in different colors, and then all of the energy from the crystal enters the staff, and the staff shakes more violently and Gyro realizes. "Everyone, get down!" They all take cover, at the same time Micah and his controlled guards come in, and the staff sends a blast of energy sending them away from the area. "Huh, that worked."

The glowing is gone, and the staff falls to the ground, down the stairs and in front of Shadow Weaver. Shadow Weaver is baffled, and she attempts to pick it up, but then an ice wall is made by Luna Frost. "And what the hell do you think you're trying to do, brah?"

Adora sees the staff, and Gyro goes over and picks it up, and they see the runes on it. "The Failsafe, is inside? Guardian, how?"

Gyro explains. "It took me a while, but then I figured it out. She-Ra, one who is capable of making portals, sending magical energy strikes, being able to cast auras of pure magical power and all that. Everything she can do, is that equal of a guardian, and to the fact she cannot be here to help ensure the survival of this world, then allow a relic from the past take the heat. The staff of the first Guardian, the one held by my master on his final days when he fell to demonic corruption."

"We take the staff to the heart of Etheria, and allow me to do the rest to cast a spell to eject the failsafe into the heart..."

"But, what will happen to the staff?" asked Bow.

Gyro smirks. "Gone." everyone is shocked. "I don't really need the staff, I carry it not to channel my powers. I was lying, I carry it... As a burden, as a reminder of the mentor I had long ago who made me who I am today, the mentor I couldn't save from himself." He looks to his staff. "Perhaps, it is time to put that burden to rest, and allow this thing to do something right for once, instead of always being there with me."

They are surprised, and then Catra goes over and hugs Adora, and she hugs her back. "Don't ever do something that stupid, ever again." Adora smiles, and they are glad it was all over, and that Adora doesn't have to be the one to endure this.

Shadow Weaver doesn't seem keen on this, Gyro sighs. "One more thing..." He then casts an arcane blast, and this pins Shadow Weaver to the wall, and she struggles but cannot move. "Lie to the rest of us again, and I will shove you into the worse place in the realms, where you will spend an eternity screaming in agony and torment." Gyro's eyes glow green in fel magic. "Are we clear?"

Shadow Weaver is then let go, and she sees all of them looking to her in anger. They then walk away from here, Shadow Weaver gets up and follows, but she sees Adora and Catra glaring at her, this makes her think of what she has done, and the mistakes she may have caused coming here. She didn't even think all of this all the way through.

The group escape the halls, and pass by an unconscious Micah, and Glimmer wants to save her father from the control of the enemy, but they simply do not have enough time and have to leave.

(Rebel Camp.)

They are all back and getting some sleep. Catra is not sleeping, and watches Adora sleep. She even sees Entrapta is awake, and working with Victor in trying to take down the control of the chips, and they figured it out earlier when Entrapta left the camp and got almost too close to the control tower. But she didn't tell them, she had an encounter with the one she cares for, the real Hordak.

Shadow Weaver sighs, and she goes off to be by herself someplace else. Catra then leaves the camp, and be outside. Gyro follows and stands by her side. "Are you doing alright there, Magicat?"

Catra is alarmed to hear that. "Wait, what did you call me?"

"Magicat, and you are possibly the last one" replied Gyro. "I am aware, when I came to this world I senses a shattered world, one destroyed by the hands of Horde Prime, and that was once your world. You're home, Princess of the Magicat Empire, and I am sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but it didn't seem like the right moment before to explain."

Catra is baffled, and she wipes away her tears, and Melog goes over to comfort her. Gyro then speaks. "Catra, I cannot be the only one who can bring the staff to the Heart of Etheria."

This surprises Catra and she looks to Gyro. "What? What do you mean?"

Gyro explains. "I informed Adora about this, and you should know this too. You, and Adora aren't coming with me as bodyguards, I need you both to come with me just in case, in case something happens that holds me back from coming along. She-Ra, can wield it as well and through her power she can be able to release the failsafe and free the magic, and...Adora cannot do it, without you."

Catra never knew about this. "Wait, then why have me come along? What good am I if Adora could handle that?"

Gyro has concerns for her. But Luna shows up and she speaks. "Because she needs you."

Catra is surprised to hear this. Gyro speaks. "You cannot bottle up those emotions inside, you have to tell her, and perhaps then... The answers you seek, will come into full circle." They then look to the sky. "We should get some rest, tomorrow the final battle, will be upon us all."

They head back inside, Catra looks to the sky and she thinks about this, shedding some emotional tears of what might happen, should Adora do this.
