Plot
In 36 BBY[a], an Togruta man Nak-il announces the birth of his newborn daughter Ahsoka Tano to his village in Togruti.
One year later[b], Ahsoka progresses into a toddler. One day they visit Gantika, who is feeding several tookas. She paints blue specks on Ahsoka's face as a blessing. While travelling through the forest, Ahsoka notices a squirrel navigating through the branches. As insects whistle in the background, Pav-ti tells her daughter they are surrounded by life and to honor it. Pav-ti walks past several plants and disperses their pollen with her rifle. Pav-ti and Ahsoka approach a forest clearing where they see kybucks chomping on grass. Pav-ti takes position and aims her rifle at the kybucks. As she fires her rifle, Gantika utters an prayer back in the village. The kybuck is mortally wounded and is nearing death, which upsets Ahsoka, though her mother tells her she must embrace death and accept it. As the kybuck dies, Pav-ti utters a prayer before slicing the creature's throat. Gantika senses the passing of the Kybuck in the village.
Meanwhile, Pav-ti tells Ahsoka that the male kybuck she killed will feed multiple others. While Pav-ti talks about carrying the kybuck back to the village, a raxshir watches them from behind the grass. As Ahsoka coos, the sabertooth approaches them from behind. Pav-ti tries to fight it off with her rifle, but is subdued by the much larger creature. Pav-ti manages to fire a gunshot, which alerts Nak-il. With her rifle damaged, Pav-ti fights back with a knife. Several villagers, including Nak-il race towards the forest clearing. Following a struggle, the sabertooth knocks out Pav-ti. Though the villagers arrive, there are unable to stop the sabertooth from abducting Ahsoka into the forest. Pav-ti cries out in despair, while Nak-il comforts her. Meanwhile, Gantiva clutches a talisman and chants a prayer.
In the depths of the forest, the sabertooth carries Ahsoka to its nest among several tree roots. The sabertooth licks his wounds and is initially hostile towards Ahsoka. Before it can harm her, Ahsoka touches its nose gently, calming it down. Back at the village, several Togruta villagers, including Nak-iil gather with weapons to search for Ahsoka. Before they depart, the sabertooth and Ahsoka return. The villagers are about to shoot the creature when Gantika convinces them to wait. As the sabertooth exits the forest clearing, they notice Ahsoka on its back. The villagers are relieved and amazed that Ahsoka is back unscathed. The sabertooth bows its head, allowing Pav-ti to pick up Ahsoka. Pav-ti thanks the creature in Togruta language before it returns to the forest. Nak-il embraces Pav-ti and Ahsoka. When Pav-ti wonders how Ahsoka survives, Gantika tells her that Ahsoka is a Jedi.

"So who are we doing next?" Peter-199999 asked.
"The Star Wars characters." Alex said.
Ned yelled "Yes!" because he is a Star Wars fan.
"We are doing Tales of the Jedi, which is an anthology series which serves as an miniseries giving more information into the backstories of Ahsoka and Dooku. But before we watch it here is the trailer."
Alex went on YouTube and searched "Tales of the Jedi trailer" and clicked the first video that popped up.
We start with the Lucasfilm Limited Logo, we start with a member of Ahsoka Tano's race.
Pav-Ti (voiceover): Everywhere there is life… but you must face death.
The next shot shows a funeral for somebody.
"Somebody died?" Anakin asked.
"Hope it wasn't somebody on our side." Windu said.
"True." Yoda said.
We see a shot of a younger Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus.
Pav-Ti (voiceover): Honor it.
"It's you, master!" Jinn exclaimed.
"Indeed it is, my young Padawan." Dooku said.
All of the Jedi glared at Dooku, which made Jinn curious. Why do the Jedi give hateful glances at Dooku, Jinn thought.
We see a tiger trying to eat baby Ahsoka.
"Aw, she's so cute." Anakin said.
"I'm right here." Ahsoka said.
Pav-Ti (voiceover): Do not fear it.
We see a scene between the council elders and Ahsoka's parents.
"Is that…" Anakin asked, before he was caught.
"Yeah. My parents." Ahsoka said.
Gantika: Jedi. Ahsoka is Jedi.
"So, that's how it happened." Ahsoka realized.
We see Ahsoka get his lightsaber ready, for practice on the clones.
"I remember that." Anakin said.
In a black background, text appears saying "From the Creators of Star Wars: The Clone Wars", which transitions into "From the Creators of Star Wars: The Bad Batch".
Said clone unit looked suspicious.
We see a ship land on a planet. We see Dooku and somebody unidentified enter a bar, before it shifts to another text which says "Six Original Shorts". We see a shot of Anakin Skywalker watching Ahsoka's training with the clones.
Anakin Skywalker (voiceover): The best way I can protect you… is to teach you how to protect yourself.
The clones raise guns on Ahsoka.
"Why are they raising their guns on Ahsoka?" Obi-Wan asked.
"We were doing training." Anakin explained.
More text appears, saying "Two Stories of Fate", before seeing a scene with young Dooku.
Village Elder: Count Dooku.
Dooku: I want to bring peace and order to the galaxy.
We see Dooku raise his lightsaber, as an army raises their weapons.
Qui-Gon Jinn (voiceover): Master! Stop!
Dooku uses the force to raise their weapons, before knocking Jinn out of the way. More text appears reading "One Destiny".
Dooku: It is the only way you will truly have victory, my Padawan.
We see a shot of Mace Windu and Dooku raising their lightsabers.
"When is this?" Luke asked.
"Before my death." Jinn said.
Anakin recognized something similar to this boy. He looks like me and Padmé mixed. Is this boy my offspring? He thought.
Anakin Skywalker (voiceover): Again.
Ahsoka does a flip on a clone trooper.
"You really do have good training tips for Ahsoka, aside from all the aggression you teach her." Obi-Wan said.
Anakin nodded and smiled.
We see the clones stun Ahsoka.
Anakin: Again.
Ahsoka raises her lightsaber, we see Dooku and Windu fight some droids and robots, with Dooku using a Force move to attack the droids, as Windu jumps over Dooku to attack the robots while using the Force to move them.
Windu: Dooku!
Dooku tries to kill somebody with his lightsaber.
Windu: Stand down.
Dooku frowns.
This is concerning. Will Master truly turn evil? Jinn thought.
We see Dooku frown, which changes to text reading "Streaming October 26th", before we see an alien, Bail Organa, and an alien.
Leia sniffled at seeing her father again, as Luke hugged her.
This made Bail worried. Is this girl my daughter? Bail thought.
We see Dooku and Jinn fight people with lightsabers, while text appears reading "Only on Disney+".
Ahsoka (voiceover): I'm tired of fighting.
We see a shot of Dooku and Captain Rex stunning Ahsoka in training, only for her to block it, as we see the Jedi Council Headquarters, a shot of Anakin and Ahsoka together, and Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi watching from afar, as we see Dooku and Windu at a funeral.
Dooku (voiceover): I've been warning them about the coming darkness.
We see a shot of Anakin, A Sith taking down Anakin, we see a shot of Jinn, followed by Windu looking behind him, Ahsoka looking behind her, a Grand Inquisitor taking out his Lightsaber, and Rex.
Rex: Let's hope all that training pays off.
"It should." Anakin hoped.
We see a shot of Dooku, Master Yaddle, Yaddle dueling Dooku, the Grand Inquisitor attacking Ahsoka, and Dooku attacking Yaddle. We see a shot of a starfighter, see an army on the planet Dooku and Jinn were on, shoot their weapons, we see some action with Dooku and Windu, and the former using the Force choke, as we see somebody pull out their lightsaber, and a shot of a confrontation between Ahsoka and the Inquisitor.
Inquisitor: And who might you be?
We see the title reveal, reading "Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi" as an box surround "Tales of the Jedi" which makes the lightsaber sound. Beneath it, a subtitle reads "Original Shorts Streaming October 26", before it shifts to the Disney+ logo to end the trailer.
"That was awesome." Anakin said.
"Yes, it was Master." Ahsoka agreed.
Alex used the remote to go to the Disney+ app, clicked the "Search" tab and typed "Tales of the Jedi" into the search bar, clicking the first result, which popped up, under episodes, he played "Life and Death".
The episode starts with a logo, reading "Disney+ Original". Another logo occurs after it, reading "Lucasfilm Ltd." Several characters from the Star Wars universe are shown including General Grievous, a Rebel pilot, Chopper, another droid, IG-11, an Stormtrooper, another storm trooper, Jango Fett, and another stormtrooper as the logo "Star Wars" is seen. The episode starts in the dark on the planet Shili, where we hear insects chirping. It fades down to the village, where the silence ends with a baby, Ahsoka Tano, crying.
"Is that supposed to be you?" Anakin asked.
"Probably." Ahsoka said.
Ahsoka's father, Nak-il, speaks in Togruta.
Nak-il (in English): She's here! She's here. He laughs as several other Togruti come out and Nak-il starts speaking Togruta again, before hugging one. Yeah! Come, come, come, come.
Nak-il starts running through the village, where he runs in Gantika, who looks behind her, as the villager gather at Nak-il's hut, where they see Ahsoka, who coos. After a couple of seconds, Gantika walks in. Pav-ti, Ahsoka's mother, looks at Gantika and nods. She looks at Ahsoka, who coos again before looking at Gantika again.
Pav-ti: Ahsoka.
"What does 'ahsoka' mean?" Anakin asked.
"It means pure and hopeful." Ahsoka said. [1]
Gantika looks at Ahsoka, before it fades to black, and the title "Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi" is shown, with text revealing the title of the episode as "Life and Death".
"Because we live and die?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Exactly." Dave Filoni said.
We transition to later, one year to be exact. We see the Togrutas and droids working on houses, as one droid beeps. Pav-ti walks out with a toddler Ahsoka, who groans and coos, making her mother smile.
Nak-il: Are you sure she's ready?
Pav-ti: Nak-il, it is custom.
Nak-il: In old days. Old ways for the old.
"Nothing gets old, just as nothing gets new." Yoda wisely said.
Nak-il: Not you, Pav-ti. Not yet.
Pav-ti: Don't make fun. You'll insult the spirits.
Nak-il: The trees?
Pav-ti: Ancestors.
Nak-il: All right then. I meant no offense. Pav-ti walks in the house briefly and grabs her rifle, before heading out of the house again. Good hunting, Pav-ti. My little Soka.
Baby Ahsoka babbles, before Nak-il gets back to work.
"That is so adorable." the women said.
Ahsoka flushed with embarrassment.
Pav-ti walks in the village, passing Gantika, who is feeding several tookas.
Gantika: Pav-ti, off on the hunt? Has it been more than a year already?
Pav-ti: It has, Gantika.
Gantika walks towards Pav-ti and Ahsoka.
Gantika: Well, then. She grabs something in her pouch which is blue specks. For luck. She paints a streak on Ahsoka's head, before speaking in Togruti. Ahsoka coos, as she paints a streak on Pav-ti's head, speaking Togruti again.
Pav-ti: Thank you, Gantika.
Pav-ti walks off in the forest, as Gantika watches them from afar, before several tookas start barking at her. Gantika tosses down some treats to them and they eat them, before she walks away. The frame shows the view of the mountains and forest. We hear a bird warble, as Pav-ti walks into the forest.
"So this is Togruti tradition?" Anakin asked Ahsoka.
"Yes. It is a way we honor the spirits." Ahsoka said.
As Pav-ti walks in the forest, Ahsoka coos and we see a squirrel jumping from tree to tree. Ahsoka coos as Pav-ti continues to walk in the forest.
Pav-ti: Look, Ahsoka, everywhere there is life. Value it. Honor it. Ahsoka babbles.
"Life is supposed to be honored and valued." Anakin noted.
We see Pav-ti pass some bushes, as she uses her non-shooting part of the rifle and whacks them. Ahsoka giggles and coos at this. Ahsoka giggles some more and babbles as Pav-ti shushes her. Pav-ti walks closer, as she hears braying. She sees rybucks, which are chomping leaves and takes out her rifle. One of the rybucks brays and sniffs as Pav-ti shoots, before it runs off. In the village, Gantika prays in Togruti. Back in the forest, Pav-ti walks in the grass looking for prey. She sees a male Rybuck, who is breathing laborly. Ahsoka cries from seeing the dead body.
Pav-ti: You must face death, Ahsoka. Do not fear it.
"Death is a part of life, don't let it cloud your judgment, Ahsoka." Yoda wisely said.
Ahsoka nodded.
Pav-ti takes out a knife, touching the Rybuck and praying in Togruti, as she stabs it, killing it. In the village, Gantika closes her eyes and meditates. In the grasslands, Pav-ti examines the dead Rybuck.
Pav-ti: He's a heavy one. This one will feed many. Think we can lift it? Ahsoka coos. Yes. I think so too. We can never take more than we need. Suddenly, a creature growls in the bushes. I shall carry you and the kybuck, unless you would like to carry him?
"Highly unlikely. For a toddler her age to carry things, it would be difficult." Reed-199999 said. [2]
Everybody looked at him in shock.
"What? I have Franklin and Valeria at home and they weigh 50 pounds or more. For them to carry even a baby cat would be difficult." Reed explained.
Ahsoka coos excitedly, before she notices something. She coos, before we hear something lowly growling. It is revealed to be a sabertooth which growls as Pav-ti looks between her rifle and her daughter. Pav-ti roars and starts attacking the sabertooth with the rifle, which it dodges. Using its teeth, it throws Ahsoka and the rifle a couple feet away, as it attacks her, Pav-ti uses her blaster. In the village, the tookas start barking, a droid beeps and the tookas start barking again. Nak-il looks into the view of the mountains and forest.
Nak-il: Pav-ti.
In the forest, the sabertooth destroys the rifle, before Pav-ti takes out a sword. The villagers start running towards the forest. In the forest, she starts stabbing the sabertooth, which has no effect as it knocks down Pav-ti. The sabertooth approaches Ahsoka and starts to eat her until the villagers arrive and shoot it.
"Not a wise idea. That will just piss it off." Bucky said.
"Agreed." Anakin agreed.
The sabertooth growls at the villagers and picks up Ahsoka and leaves.
Pav-ti: No! No! Ahsoka!
Ahsoka starts crying, as Nak-il goes over to comfort Pav-ti, who is crying.
Pav-ti: Ahsoka.
Gantika approaches the forest and senses sadness and grabs an garment on her neck and starts praying in Togruti. Meanwhile, in the depths of the forest, the sabertooth has arrived at its nest with Ahsoka. She starts babbling. The sabertooth drops Ahsoka from its mouth. The sabertooth lowly growls at Ahsoka before licking its wounds. Ahsoka sneezes and the sabertooth growls and roars as a response. Ahsoka approaches the sabertooth and it growls at her again, licking its chops before babbling.
"It better not." Anakin seethed.
"Relax, Skyguy, I'm right here." Ahsoka said.
"He'd be a wonderful asset to our team." Red Hood said. [3]
"Agreed." Nightwing said.
As the sabertooth approaches Ahsoka, she touches his nose gently, calming it down. It roars twice at Ahsoka. Meanwhile, the villagers arrive at the sabertooth's nest, as a villager approaches Nak-il.
Villager: I'm sorry, Nak-il. No sign of her or the creature.
Nak-il: We will go out in force. We will not stop until we find her.
"Facing a sabertooth tiger which could maul them death is not the smartest plan." Bucky warned.
"Yeah, it would rip them to shreds or worse, it would kill Ahsoka to make an example." Anakin said.
Pav-ti hears the sabertooth growls and approaches the darkness. It growls again as the villagers raise their weapons as Gantika raises her hand to make them drop the weapons.
Gantika: Wait.
As the sabertooth gets into the light, the villagers notice Ahsoka riding it.
"You tamed a dangerous creature. Can you teach me to tame a Dementor, Basilisk, or giant?" Hagrid asked. [4]
"No, Hagrid! Absolutely not!" Dumbledore exclaimed.
"Professor Dumbledore, if we tame a giant, we'll make sure they don't get on Voldemort's side, if we tame a Basilisk, we already have a Parselmouth in Harry, so we can use that to his advantage, and if we tame a Dementor, we can have an advantage." Hagrid pointed out.
"How would we tame those creatures? A giant is known to be ruthless and murderous, a Basilisk kills anyone who looks at it in the eyes and petrifies anybody who looks at through a mirror, and a Dementor will try to suck out your soul." Dumbledore pointed out.
"I have an idea. We can use a shrinking spell on the Basilisk, so the worst it will do is burn your eyes, we can offer the Dementor all the deceased's souls, and we can have Grawp convince them to Voldemort is evil." Hagrid said. [5]
"It's a good plan, Hagrid. Ok, I'll do it. Under one condition." Dumbledore reluctantly agreed.
"Yes, sir." Hagrid said.
"As long as they don't attack anybody." Dumbledore said.
"I'll make sure that doesn't happen, Professor Dumbledore, sir." Hagrid loyally said.
The sabertooth approaches everybody, riding on the sabertooth tiger. Ahsoka coos as the sabertooth lowers its head so Pav-ti can get Ahsoka. Pav-ti speaks Togruti to the sabertooth. The sabertooth departs into the forest, as Nak-li and Gantika approach Pav-ti and Ahsoka.
Pav-ti: Gantika, how could this be?
Gantika: Jedi. Ahsoka is Jedi.
"That she is." Anakin proudly said.
Ahsoka blushed from embarrassment.
Pav-ti and Nak-li look at Gantika, themselves, and Ahsoka, who falls asleep. Credits roll. End of episode.
End of chapter. In the next chapter, we will go over "Justice". Comment below what you think.
[1] I looked up what "ahsoka" means and it said pure and hopeful, which is what Ahsoka is. She is what almost drives Anakin away from the dark side early on in his journey as Darth Vader.
[2] Reed is himself a father and a scientist, which means he is a doctor and could know how much toddlers could weigh and carry things. Ahsoka is 1, and would be between 20–30 pounds as that's the average American baby weight. So, the most she could carry is a toy truck, that's about it. She wouldn't be able to carry a 75–90 pound Rybuck.
[3] Anakin would be another asset to the Bat-Family. I particularly see him getting along with Damian and Red Hood because of their interest in violence and their brooding manner.
[4] This is classic Hagrid. He once brought his class a live hippogriff for one of his lessons, and there are considered on the third most dangerous wizarding world creature classification and he even kept a pet acromantula, which is on the most dangerous wizarding world creature classification, so it isn't far-fetched to say that he wouldn't try to tame a Dementor, Basilisk, or giant, considering he is already half-giant and has a giant for a half-brother in Grawp.
[5] Why didn't Harry use this in Chamber of Secrets? It would've have saved so much time.
