Konohamaru was coming back from a mission with Team 7. He ensures that Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki are ok after dealing with the bandits, so he tells them to go for a medical checkup at Sakura's. He is tired after the mission. So he goes for a drink at the bar.
At the bar, he finds Moegi, Udon and Hanabi on the bar counter.
"Konohamaru senpai! Konbanwa.." Hanabi wished him.
"Were you coming back from your mission?" Moegi asked.
They were having their drinks and Konohamaru ordered a glass of beer.
"Hai. It's been a C-Rank mission. What about you Moegi?" Konohamaru asked
"We had a B-rank mission. Udon was made to have a D-rank. Hanabi didn't have any missions so they went for training." Moegi said
"D-rank? Tough luck, Udon..did your students protest?" Konohamaru asked.
"Iwabe did. But Denki tried to calm him down." Udon said.
"It was pretty tough on my side. The bandits these days are pretty vicious. Looks like we need to train a bit more." Konohamaru said.
"Hmm.." They hummed.
He drank his beer and chatted with them about their daily affairs.
"You called Ino nee-san?"
Konohamaru arrived at the Konoha Barrier department and finds Ino Yamanaka behind a man detecting any intruders in Konoha.
"Hai. I want to have an audience with Hokage-sama. There is something that I'm sensing that is beyond the barrier. I don't know what it is."
"Hai. I'll set a meeting with Hokage-sama for you."
And he leaves the Barrier Room with her.
"Something beyond the barrier?" Naruto said.
Ino and Konohamaru is having a meeting with the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Along with them is Shikamaru Nara, his advisor, Sai Yamanaka, the Director of the ANBU, and Sasuke Uchiha, the Shadow Hokage.
"Yes..it's as if the senses I'm getting are from a different world. Its as though they aren't from here."
"What exactly are you getting?" Shikamaru asked.
"I hear these voices and this particular male voice that keeps repeating in my head. Like strong vibrations on my brain." Ino said
"What does the voice say?" Sai asked her.
" "She is coming back. She is coming back." in a calm, old man's voice" Ino said.
"She..? Could it be Onee-sama?" Konohamaru thought surprised.
"You sure you heard that? Maybe it's just your imagination."
"No. That's exactly what I heard." Ino said.
"Hey Sai, why don't you take Ino back to the flower shop. Let her take some rest for a while." Naruto said.
"Hai. Come Ino." And Sai takes her by the hand and walks her out of the Kage room.
"So what do you guys think?" Naruto asked.
"She must be hallucinating..I don't remember the Yamanaka clan being gifted in hearing voices-" Sasuke said
"But unless it's inside someone's head? She can, right?" Shikamaru said
"Maybe she heard it from someone's head. What do you think Konohamaru?"
Konohamaru was lost in thought that he didn't hear what was said.
"Huh? What?"
"Do you think what Ino said is true?"
"Well..she did say vibrations. So I have a feeling this must be taken seriously. A Yamanaka can't get strong vibrations when reading minds..unless.."
"Unless?"
"Unless the mind of the person she detected was someone powerful." Konohamaru reasoned.
"Hmm.." Naruto thought.
"We'll wrap this up for now. If we find anything more about this, report it to me." Naruto said.
"Hai!" Everyone said.
He walked to his home after the meeting. He then, thought about his childhood days. Of the celibate maiden that used to protect him when he was little.
"She was quite the beauty." He murmured.
Konohamaru enters his home and closes the door. He goes to his bedroom and lay on his bed. "God I miss her..I wonder where she is now.." he says.
He looks at the ceiling and then gets up and opens the closet. He looks at the black-silver scythe that he stolen from her, all those years ago.
