Lillian sat by the window, she looked out upon the gardens. It was a truly beautiful afternoon. There had been a slight emergency that morning, but she put it out of her mind. Things had turned out fine, they always did. Her husband was seeing to it, she had done her part.
She allowed her gaze to drift to the lily pond, the flowers did look so beautiful at that time of year. She smiled. When Harold was done, she planned to ask him to take a walk with her. It had been a little while since they had done so. It had once been a habit, many years ago…
Fear suddenly gripped the woman. She almost dropped her teacup, shakily setting it down upon the table beside her. A rock formed in the pit of her stomach, making her feel increasingly sick. She took a deep breath through her nose, blinking back the sudden tears that struck her.
It had been six years, it certainly made sense. But understanding didn't bring the woman any comfort.
For she hadn't thought of her daughter all day.

Decided to upload this tiny pre-finished one to let people know that FFN has decided to switch everyone's email notifications off. You have to go into your settings and opt in… and continue to do so every 6 months. Love that. Great. Fun. So fun. So if you see these updates and you're like …..I didn't see the emails!? That's why. Might be because they want people to move to the app. If you didn't know there's an app, there's an app! They don't really advertise it on the website if you're a web browser user - here's me providing the ad. So yanno, don't forget to opt into emails like Lillian forgot about… yeah sorry, I'll stop. Thanks for reading!
