Disclaimer: I own nothing
Ketsueki Materializes his axe and cuts down the men his father burned. He doesn't want them getting up later. His father keeps the Titan and his boss away with a fire wall. Once he's done slaughtering the grunts he turns his attention to the Titan.
"I'll deal with the big one. You handle the speedster." says Ketseuki.
It should be harder for the speedster to get close to his dad. So it's probably the best call.
His fight with the Titan goes about how you'd expect it to. Neither gains ground, neither loses ground. Ketsueki has to change his style a little. He grapples with him instead of crashing against him. They slam each other into shipping containers, fences, and the ground beneath their feet.
"Do you know what you took from me?" asks the Titan before slamming his fist into Ketsueki's ribs.
"I know, but I don't care." replies Ketsueki before shoving him into the side of a shipping container.
That seems to have pissed him off because he's hitting a lot harder than he was a second ago. Ketsueki is losing ground. Each of the Titan's hits nearly take him off his feet. Every single hit breaks the bones underneath the flesh.
"He was a leader. He may not have been the best man but he was good to me. He gave me a bed to sleep in and food to eat." He says before throwing Izuku back and tackling him to the ground, " He was good to me. I wanted to repay him. I needed to repay him."
He is hammering the shit out of Ketsueki. Blow after blow drives his head deeper into the concrete. He had to switch to shock absorption so he doesn't die before he can heal off the damage.
"He gave me something to fight for. He gave me a purpose. If I can't fight for him, I can avenge him, then I can continue to fight for what he left behind." says the Titan.
Izuku's honestly surprised. This is actually very humanizing, apart from him getting his skull caved in, of someone he really didn't think was human. He could even feel it. He can tell this man has a soul. He's definitely human, but he still deserves to die here. Izuku uses the gigantification he got from the samurai vampire to throw him off. He tries to follow up but he takes an uppercut to the jaw and loses his concentration and shrinks. He gets slammed into the side of a shipping container. Before he can recover from that a knife pins his hands into the metal. A third knife makes its way into his stomach right below his chest, it then travels down the length of his stomach. He's pulled off the crate and slammed into the ground. He makes a splat noise as his innards stain the concrete red.
"I told you I'd gut you the last time we spoke." The Titan says before slamming his boot into the back of Ketsueki's head, "You got far vigilante but it's over. They'll never find your body."
He's gonna crush Ketsueki's skull before a fireball sends him about twenty feet back.
"Get up." comes his father's voice.
Izuku does what he's told. He pushes himself back together and heals the gaping whole in his stomach.
Hisashi shoots fire down both paths between the shipping crates to buy some time.
"You alright?" asks Hisashi.
"I'll live. More are coming. I can smell them. Go to my friend and help him with the bodies. I'll deal with these two." says Ketseuki.
"You go. You're faster." says Hisashi.
"I-" starts Ketsueki.
"Go." interrupts Hisashi, "I'll be fine."
Ketsueki jumps over the crates and takes off to go help Johnny load his brothers in the van and leave.
"You shouldn't have let him go." says the speedster (hisashi doesn't know his name)
"I was fine without him." says Hisashi.
"Sure, but that was just against me." says the speedster.
"Doesn't matter. I'll be fine against both of you." says Hisashi.
Hisashi sends a burst of flames to the speedster and gives chase when he dodges. He gets out of the labyrinth of boxes so he can fight them in an open area where his flames should be harder to dodge or take cover from. The speedster tries to come and stab him. A puff of flames keeps him away. Then the Titan comes charging in. A wave of fire collides with the Titan but don't slow him in the slightest. Hisashi needs to turn up the heat. Hotter and hotter. He isn't stopping but neither is Hisashi. The flames go from orange to blue and smoke pours out of Hisashi's nose but he gets the big metal bastard to back off. He can't keep that up, he's gonna fry himself. His lips are already charred black. He sends another wave to the speedster.
"I thought you said I'd have trouble with both of you." mocks Hisashi.
The Titan charges again and Hisashi turns the heat back up. He has to divert his flames as the speedster comes back around with his knives. When he turns back to the Titan he's close. He slams his fist into Hisashi's chest. He breaks his ribs and his collarbone. Hisashi spits a mixture of blood and ash into his eyes and puts some space between the two of them.
Hisashi is sweating clean through his costume. He burnt his lips right off his face and it's getting hard to breathe. He spits out a tooth that's mostly melted into a paste. He finally hits the speedster causing him to fall with all of his momentum, he slides past Hisashi and doesn't get back up.
"Just us." says the Titan.
Hisashi coughs up more ash and blood as he tries to answer.
It's taking all he's got to melt this guy. But he'll do it and he'll still be here by the time his boy get's back. He doesn't need to be his father but he wants to show him he's better than he was. He gave him something to fight for.
So he fights. He burns and he burns. He can see the man in front of him starting to melt. He knows if he lets him get close like that again he'll kill him so he needs to end it before he gets here.
He puts everything he has into this one. It's the brightest he's ever burned. The Titan can't take it. Before he reaches him he falls to his knees. Hisashi finally stops. The titan is dead. Molten metal is spreading over the concrete.
Hisashi falls to the ground and waits for his boy to get back. He's vaguely aware that the speedster got up and ran off at some point. He wasn't gonna stop him. Not that he could right now.
He sees his boy's snakeskin boots running over to him. He lets out a shaky breath and takes a good look at his son.
Izuku ran back to his dad as soon as Johnny left. When he returned the boss was gone. The Titan was dead, melted and splattered over the ground. His dad looked like someone took a blow torch to his face. His dad looks up at him before his head rolls back and he goes limp.
Izuku runs over and checks his pulse to find that there isn't one. He closes his fathers eyes and just sits there for a minute. It smells like burning flesh and shit from all the people they killed. There is blood everywhere. It's soaked into his clothes, in his hair and under his nails.
A couple cops come over and take a look at the place.
"Oh shit." says one as he comes over.
Izuku looks up at him.
"Don't worry, big man we knew him. We were friends. I'm sorry for your loss." he says.
"And yours." replies Izuku.
"That's very thoughtful. You should go though. More of us are gonna be here soon." says the cop.
"Alright. I'll go." says Ketsueki as he starts to jog off, "Thanks for the warning."
"No problem." replies the cop.
Naturally Izuku has a lot to think about as he makes his way back to Johnny's place. His dad knew the risk and he made a choice. He still can't help but feel responsible, but if he didn't leave him Johnny would have died. Did he make the right call? Probably it's what dad told him to do.
They never did get along until recently. The man had done a lot of harm in his life. It'd be so much easier if he could've just hated him. That's pretty much all he showed the man too and he still did that for him. He never liked calling the man dad, but damn he earned it. Damn he earned it.
He wishes he could have known him better. That he could have understood what the man was thinking. What he did just then was genuinely selfless, for a son who showed him nothing but hate when he was trying to move on and be better. Maybe Izuku didn't know him all that well, but he got to see him at his best and that would have to do.
He was finally back at Johnny's.
"Hey." he says as he comes through the door.
"I killed our informant." says Johnny.
"Good." replies Izuku, "You alright?"
"No." replies Johnny.
"You need anything?" asks Izuku.
"Could you take care of the bodies?" asks Johnny.
"Of course. They in the van?" asks Izuku.
"Yeah." replies Johnny.
"Anything else I can do?" asks Izuku
"I don't really feel like doing this right now." says Johnny.
"I get it. I'll leave, but I'll be back tomorrow morning." says Izuku.
Johnny just nods back.
Like he said he would, Izuku buried the bodies. Made them all nice headstones. He also made a headstone for his dad. He knew he wouldn't get buried here but he felt like he deserved it to be remembered.
He should probably call his Uncle and let him know.
"Hello." comes Matthew's voice sounds tired.
"Hey Uncle." says Izuku.
"Not to be that guy but it's two in the morning." says Matthew.
"Yeah sorry about that. But I need to talk to you." says Izuku.
"Bout what?" asks Mathew.
Izuku sighs, "Dad is dead."
"What?" asks Matthew, he sounds awake now.
"I was fighting some villains in New York. He saved my life and the life of a friend of mine. He burned himself inside out fighting." says Izuku.
"Oh." says Matthew.
"If it helps he just killed one of the strongest and most renowned villains in the world." says Izuku.
"It helps a little." says Mattew.
"You alright?" asks Izuku.
"Sure. It's rough, but I'm alright." says Matthew, "What about you?"
"I'm suffering a little. But we both did our best. This kind of thing happens." says Izuku.
"Yeah." replies Matthew, there's not much else to say, "Well I should go tell the kids."
"Sure, sure." says Izuku, "I'll leave you to it."
What a mess today's been.
True to what Izuku said, he's stopping by to make sure Johnny is alright.
He opens the door and steps inside.
"Hey Johnny." says Izuku.
Izuku enters the living room and finds Johnny hanging from the ceiling fan.
Authors Note
Sorry for not updating in a couple weeks. College has been a lot. I tried making up for it with a slightly longer chapter than the last couple I wrote.
Something that I've been thinking about recently is reviews I get that talk about how cool it is that Midoriya is morally grey in this. I'm glad you all seem to like it because that is what I was going for. What I really want to know though, do you think he's a good person or a bad person. Like if you had to look at everything he does and why he does it, is he good or bad. I'd like feedback on that please.
The discord like is in my profile bio
James Birdsong: Thanks man. I appreciate it. I'm proud of it.
DS Man: on the topic of wolf man beating Midoriya I'd say it's possible if he's smart about it. He either needs to show up with Dabi or just gun him down before the fight really starts outside of those scenarios it isn't happening. Victor is physically stronger than Midoriya but you're right, he just can't keep up with him.
Warrior God 626: Well they got one of them. An eye for an eye as they say.
Blue Hell Fire 666: You don't need to feel like you have to respond to every chapter. I made this one a little longer so I hope you like that. It is kinda sad that he isn't spending as much time with them. It's even sadder because I'm gonna keep him too busy for a while. You have a nice day too.
