Kurogiri stopped by to give Izuku a spare tracker for the Nomu. That's how Izuku finds himself in front of an office building. It's not being used currently given the for sale sign. The tracker tells him the thing is just sitting in there. It's in the middle of the first floor. Maybe it's sleeping? Izuku quietly enters and makes his way to where it should be. There's nothing there. Well there is but there's no monster. Just a puddle of blood and the tracker. The blood leads down a hall to the right. Izuku turns to follow the blood when he hears it. A heartbeat. About four feet behind him.

He whips around pulling a gun that immediately gets knocked from his hands as the ball of flesh, limbs and claws tackles him. It pins him and starts ripping at him. Clawing all over his body. Deep gashes that just don't stop. He can't heal fast enough. It's taking his limbs off and adding them to itself as it's clawing at him.

Eventually he manages to throw the thing off of him. It was heavy, it must have weighed a ton at least. He rises to his feet and starts wailing on it. He hears bone crunch when he hits it. It slams its whole body against his side and sends him skidding back. His ears grow long and his turn to slits. He hisses at it loud and high. It makes a noise. Not quite a screech but close and it turns and runs out of the building. It looked terrified. Izuku goes to follow but falls to his knees.

He takes a minute to just stay still. Then he takes stock of himself. His left knee is bent the wrong way. He can't heal anymore. He's covered in gashes and cuts. His right eye is on the floor and a good bit of his scalp is missing. He thinks his ribs are broken but they're at least cracked. He tries to breathe in… shit they're broken. He can't breathe well either; he might have a hole in his lungs. That thing completely beat the shit out of him.

He desperately laps some of the blood off of the floor. His own blood, which takes up most of the floor, won't heal him but maybe the beasts will. And it does but it tastes extremely bitter like poison. Despite the taste he can't get enough as it heals his wounds. He can walk and breathe now but that's about it.

That thing is smarter than All For One said it would be is what Izuku is thinking as he looks around. Laying a trap like that. It's awfully quiet for something so big too. It can open doors apparently as Izuku just found an open door, with the lights on no less. It makes sense actually it has like forty thumbs it can probably do a bit more than open some doors.

Izuku steps into the office with the light on and looks around. The first thing he notices is the door looks small for that thing to fit through… maybe it's like a cat and just squeezes itself into places. It seemed pretty malleable when he hit it. The second thing he notices are the pictures on the wall. A four armed hero. Izuku vaguely recognized him. All For One said the base was a four armed hero. Does it remember who it used to be? It's smarter than it was supposed to be. It looks like it's seeking out who it used to be.

So what now? Does he chase it? No… he's in no state to fight. He's still missing an eye and has depth perception. Should he still kill it when he is? How human is this thing? If it is human does he still kill it? Would he kill an innocent man to protect his own interests? Well his family is a little more than just an interest… yeah he would. Is it the right thing to do no probably not but he's done worse. It's all for them. So he'll kill him. Just not now. For now go back to the Bar and Report what happened.

When he gets there he texts Kurogiri to see if anyone is inside. Kurogiri replies to tell him that the bar is closed for his return. He gets out and limps over to the door before finding it locked and knocking. A second later Shigiraki opens the door.

"Jesus." says Shigiraki.

"Yeah man." says Izuku tiredly, "Kuro, is it cool if I bleed in your bar?"

" I'd prefer you didn't but I suppose it's fine." He replies.

Izuku limps in to find All For One at a booth waiting for him. He's wearing a really big helmet.

"Good news?" he asks.

"The opposite?" replies Izuku.

"How bad?" asks All For One.

"It's smarter than we thought." replies Izuku.

"How smart?" asks AFO.

"Smart enough to tear out its tracker and jump the person who comes to find it." replies Izuku.

"That's a problem." says AFO.

"It's fine. I can track it back down and get the drop on it next time." replies Izuku.

"It feels like there's more you would like to tell me." says AFO.

"What do you know about the building it was hiding in?" asks Izuku.

"It was an abandoned office. Not much else." says AFO.

"One of the offices belonged to a Four armed hero. The door to that office was open and the lights were on. I think it remembers who it used to be. I can't be sure if it remembers completely though." says Izuku.

"So what does that mean for us?" asks All For One.

"I'm still doing it if that's what you're asking." replies Izuku.

"It was. I didn't think you would, admittedly." replies AFO.

"I have something you want. You have something I want. It's what's best for us." says Izuku.

AFO chuckles, "You remind me of myself when I was younger."

Izuku hums at that. He isn't sure he agrees but he might be wrong.

All For One leans over the table and whispers, "How would you feel about taking Tomura's spot as my successor. You could continue your work with my backing. You'd never have to worry about your daughter. We could bring peace to Japan. A world where the criminal is too scared to commit crime, not because of the heroes but because of the people."

Now it's Izuku's turn to chuckle. It actually hurts a fair amount. "All Might offered me the same and I turned him down. I'm not interested in your feud but thanks for the offer. Also don't cross Tomura or I will cause problems for you."

"More than fair." says All for One now in a normal tone again, "You have your own ambitions and I'll choose to respect that. Take your time. Heal up. Track the Nomu and when you do let me know. I'll send Shigiraki with you. It'll be good for him to clean up his own mess."

Izuku hears Shigiraki's heart rate pick up as he begins scratching his neck.

Izuku gets up before saying, "We'll be in touch." Then he heads out the door.

Hey I'm back and this time the wait wasn't too bad. I kept this one a little shorter because I just felt like getting something out this weekend. Next chapter will be Nomu round 2 feat Shigiraki Tomura.
