Luffy had gone into a short story about everything that brought him to the restaurant. He left his home island which was called Dawn and ended up getting stuck in a whirlpool which destroyed his small rowboat, but he had a barrel and he escaped and ended up on a ship that was being attacked by Pirates and he freed a pinked haired kid called Koby who dreamed of being a Marine. Then he went to another island and met Zoro who could use three swords in a fight and had joined Straw Hat to become the Swords Greatest Swordsman once he found someone on the seas. Luffy even added that Zoro somehow always got lost.

Then Luffy and Zoro journeyed to an island that had been taken over by pirates yet again and met an orange haired thief that was collecting a billion berries who went by the name of Nami. They even fought a big red nose clown that could split his body parts from his body and knew another pirate by the name of Shanks, who gave Luffy the Straw Hat. After they left that island, they went to another one and met Usopp who was a good liar that ended up joining their crew after they saved his village.

Eventually the crew of four; Luffy (as the captain), Zoro (as the first mate), Usopp (the lair of the group), and Nami (the navigator, even though she never officially joined), created a pirate flag and called themselves; The Straw Hat pirates. Only a day after they made their flag the group ran into the Marine Fullbody, who Sanji had a fight with in the restaurant, who shot a cannonball at them, which Luffy deflected which sent the cannonball in Zeff's bedroom.

That was how Luffy ended up talking with Sanji, Rin and the other pirate on this very ship.

"So, you're a pirate," Sanji stated with surprise.

Luffy gave a playful grin from his spot on the railing and said, "Yeah."

"Interesting," Rin admits, because she was still surprised that this seventeen-year-old boy was a pirate and wanted to go to the Grand Line.

"Why the hell did you shoot a cannonball into this restaurant?" Sanji chose to ask the young pirate because it was odd that Luffy had deflected the shot from the Marines and yet sent the cannonball into the restaurant and not the ocean.

"That was an accident!" Luffy quickly stated. "A self-defense, stray shot."

"A what now?" Sanji questioned before turning away from the kid with a grin. "In any event, don't do anything stupid to this restaurant. The owner of this place used to be a cook in a famous pirate group."

Luffy let out an awe sound before turning and looking at the restaurant. "I see…So pops was a pirate…"

"Yeah," Rin answered with a small smile. Zeff had been a pirate but neither Sanji or herself were going to tell Luffy the full story.

Sanji gave a small nod before looking at the restaurant. "To that damn geezer, this restaurant is like his treasure…" A treasure to any pirate was always something precious to them and that was usually their dream. "On top of that, those cooks, who came here out of admiration for him, are all hot-headed just like pirates."

Which is mostly Patty. Rin adds within her mind.

"Well, they're actually perfect for this place since pirates come and go." Sanji continued to explain to the young pirate.

Luffy gave a small nod. "Yeah. This restaurant is really wild." Then the kid gave a small laugh at how wild and interesting this place actually was from what he already saw today.

Rin nods her head before frowning. "Yeah. It's wild but sometimes it's much worse than you think." Especially when someone was causing trouble within the restaurant or when the place began to fall to pieces due to fights. The female could list how many times she had to fix the damage caused to the ship by pirates, cooks, marines and normal customers because of how wild it got.

"Yeah," Sanji agreed. "This is how it is here every day. There've even customers who come to see fights between cooks and pirates these days. Because of that, the waiters all got scared and ran away."

Those poor unfortunate souls, Rin is willing to admit that those waiters couldn't handle life on the sea. It was maybe a good thing that they all left before something terrible happened to them. But it did leave the restaurant understaffed.

"Ah, I see…" Luffy admits as he clapped his feet together. "That's why pops told me to work here for a year…"

"That's not the reason," Rin whispered into the salty air. The Straw hat kid damaged the restaurant and needed to pay for the damages. It had nothing to do with the ship being understaffed.

Luffy turned and grinned toward the two blonde haired siblings once again and announced. "Hey, join my pirate crew…or what?"

"What?" Rin said in shock. This kid had to be joking.

Rin never once thought about becoming a pirate. She didn't want to be wanted by the World Government or fight marines on the open seas. But she had a feeling that Luffy wasn't going to be one of those pirates from all the stories but more of an adventurer than a pirate.

"I refuse." Sanji stated to the Straw Hat teen. "There's a reason that I have to work in this restaurant."

Luffy quickly looked down from his spot on the railing and glared at Sanji. "No! I refuse!"

Sanji gritted his teeth together with an annoyed look. "Wh-what do you mean?'

The Straw hat kid sat up with his arms crossed against his chest and stated, "I refuse your refusal. You're a good cook, so let's be pirates together."

"Hey, listen to what I say," Sanji demanded toward Luffy.

"So, what's the reason?"

"I don't need to tell you."

Luffy gave Sanji a disappointed look and said, "Huh? You just told me to listen to what you say!"

"I'm telling you to accept what I say! I'm gonna cut you into three pieces, you damn Straw Hat!"

Oh no. This was not going to end well. Rin was willing to admit it because here comes another fight. She just hoped it stayed a yelling match and a fist and leg fight that would cause damage to the restaurant.

"What you say?" Luffy demands as he gets closer to Sanji. "I'm gonna beat you up if you make fun of the Straw hat, you jerkwad!"

"Sorry to interrupt," the pirate that Rin, Sanji and Luffy had forgotten about began to speak.

"What?" Sanji demands.

"What is it?" Luffy said.

Rin paled at their words and quickly said, "Yes, sir."

The pirate just gave a small blink before saying, "I'm Gin of the Krieg Pirates." Then he turned his attention to Luffy with a curious question, "You're a pirate, too, right? Do you have any goals?"

Luffy gave a cheerful answer. "I'm aiming for the One Piece. I'm going to enter the Grand Line."

The One Piece. Rin had heard about the treasure that had been rumored to exist within the Grand Line. The legendary treasure that Gold Roger discovered on one of the islands, but maybe believed it's located near the end of the Grand Line. On an island that the Roger pirates named; Laugh Tale.

But did it really exist or was it Roger's way of a sick joke? Either way the knowledge that the treasure did exist sent shockwaves through the world and created the Great Pirate Era. Nearly half the world wanted to know if it was real or actually a real thing. Wealth. Fame. Power. Three things that people could gain from finding that legendary treasure.

Only Rin never believed that Roger had found it. She believed it was all made up and whatever that was on Laugh Tale was something left behind. Only Roger couldn't bring it back for some odd reason or another, but Roger might have left gold behind for anyone that did arrive to see the island themselves. Whatever that was, the last island within the Grand Line had to be important because the World Government didn't want anyone to find it…that was why Roger had one of the greatest Pirate Bounties of all time because he knew something the world wasn't meant to find.

Gin continued to stare at the Straw hat teen with sweat pouring down his body. "Given that you're looking for a cook, it seems you have only a few members."

Luffy pointed to Sanji and announced. "Yep. He's the fifth member." Then he pointed toward Rin. "And his sister can be the sixth."

"Why are you counting me!" Sanji spat at the seventeen-year-old.

Rin gave a small shrug but chose to stay silent.

Gin stood up from the ground and kept his focus on Luffy. "Since you seem like a nice guy, I'll warn you. The Grand Line is the one place you should avoid. You're still young. You don't need to rush. The Grand Line is only a small portion of the entire Ocean. If you want to be a pirate, there's an endless ocean out there."

"I see…" Luffy said with pure understanding, but Rin had a feeling that it was going over the younger boy's head. "You know something about the Grand Line?"

"No…I don't know anything…" Gin explained to the young Straw Hat pirate with a shaky voice. "I don't understand anything about it… That's exactly why I fear it…" he continued to sweat and shake with each word that left his mouth.

Rin frowned at Gin's words. He's a pirate that went into the Grand Line and yet he's terrible to even speak about anything that he saw. She realized within her own mind as she looked at Luffy and Sanji. The Grand Line must be a scary place for certain pirates.

"You're an underling of that Krieg," Sanji stated to Gin because that had been the name the Marine said back in the restaurant when it came to the shaky pirate before them. "And yet you talk so wimpy…"

"Hmm?" Luffy hummed as curiosity was rolling off his body. "Who's Krieg?"

Rin shrugged her shoulders. "No idea."

She never met the Pirate named Don Krieg in real life and only ever heard rumors about the man. Some say Don Krieg is the worst pirate within the East Blue and he has a whole pirate fleet of 50 pirate ships and is considered one of the largest pirate fleets you'll ever see. He was said to have a number of 5000 pirates under his command.

All Rin ever heard was rumors from the other cooks and customers at the restaurant and she wasn't sure if the information was even considered real or not.

Gin looked at the three and said, "So long then…" He jumped into a small row boat that was nearby…it was the boat he escaped in from the Marine ship before arriving at the restaurant.

Luffy turned and looked at the pirate. "But I'm still going to the Grand Line."

"Yeah. Do whatever you like," Gin said to Luffy with a smile. "I'm a stranger to you. I don't have the right to try to stop you. I just wanted to warn you. And Sanji, Rin, thank you so much! I own my life to you. The food Sanji gave me was the most delicious. So, is it okay if I come back for it?"

Sanji gave a grin. "I'll have a seat for you."

"See you around the seas, Gin," Rin answered with a small wave.

"Chore Boy, get up here now!" Zeff shouted toward Luffy from the top floor.

Luffy froze before slowly turning around with a frightened expression. "Ugh! Boss Zeff."

"You're hard to find," the older man explained.

"Go, Gin," Sanji told the pirate.

Gin gave a sheepish response, "Ahh, sorry. You're gonna get yelled at, because you fed me free, right?"

Sanji walked over to the empty plate and glass and gave a small mumbled, "Whatever." He picked the dish up off the ground and dropped them into the sea. "Now there's no proof so there's no reason for me to be yelled at."

There go more dishes in the sea, Rin admits with a small frown. At least this time it was for a good reason.

Luffy gave a grin toward Sanji because the young man was impressed with the cook.

Gin began to set sail back into the sea.

"Don't ever get caught again, Gin," Sanji told the man.

Gin gave a small bow. "Thank you, Sanji. I'll never forget your kindness"

They watched Gin's ship sail off into the bright blue sea for a few moments before a shout came from above, "Sanji! Rin! Chore boy! Get to work already!"

The kitchen was smoking with the sweet scent of freshly made food. Rin continued to get fruits at her station for a second before looking up when she heard someone else enter the room and noticed it was Luffy dressed in his normal clothes with a white apron.

"I'm Luffy!" The Straw Hat kid announced to the room of cooks who were more focused on their jobs than a seventeen-year-old that was talking to them. "I'll be the chore boy from now. Nice to meet you all!"

Everyone continued to focus on their task once more. Rin turned back to cutting up fruits as Luffy didn't bother to speak again.

Rin was barely paying any attention to the Straw Hat kid but she took notice of him pulling up a wooden chair near her workstation and sitting down on it nearby. Then Luffy began to pick his nose.

"Hey," Rin shouts at him. "Don't do that near the food."

"Why not?"

"Because that will ruin the meals if you get germs everywhere…. wash your hands before you touch anything within this kitchen."

"But I'm bored," Luffy admits.

Rin didn't know what to say as she finished making the fruit salad for table 4. She guessed Luffy needed to keep his mind busy with something, but she feared that every task he did he wouldn't be that good at or would cause some kind of trouble.

"Isn't the desert for table 6 ready yet?" A cook demanded.

"Hey, who's responsible for that order!" another shouts.

One cook pointed to the one that spoke and spat, "Isn't that you?"

"I'm too busy right now!"

"That's because you keep spacing out!"

"What you say? Wanna fight?"

"Really boys," Rin mumbled under her breath as she began to walk out with her bowl of fruit for table four. They really needed some waiters back in the restaurant because every cook was on edge about whose order is whose and who should be doing what job.

It was only going to get worse as time went on.

Rin walked out into the main room with the food and delivered it to table 4 before turning her head and seeing Sanji flirting with another female with hearts dancing within his eyes once again.

"Sanji," Rin snapped in his direction.

Sanji quickly turned in her direction with his heart eyes gone. "Yes, soeur."

There he was calling her sister in French once again.

"Stop flirting with the customers," she ordered before turning on her heel and began to walk into the kitchen.

"But I can't help it," Sanji complained.

"Don't start with me. Keep in mind you have a job to do." Rin pointed out before entering the kitchen fully and heads back to her workstation.

"Hey, where's Sanji?" a cook asked.

Rin gave a small scoff as she rolled her brown eyes. "Hitting on a customer in a dining room. So, his normal routine is happening."

"Again." Patty spat from his work station as he peeled a potato. "I'm already annoyed by him just being the Sous Chef to begin with!"

"It can't be helped since he's worked here the longest," another cook pointed out to Patty. "He was working the kitchen and as a waiter long before I started."

"Do you know why he keeps staying here when he doesn't get along with Zeff?"

Rin frowned at the question but chose not to say anything about it because everything had to do with how Rin and Sanji met Zeff. That was the reason both stayed here with the old man…they basically owned him their lives.

She heard a loud crash of a plate.

Rin turned toward the sink to see Luffy had dropped a dish back into the water. Only the dish had broken from him dropping it.

"He's aiming to be the next Head Chef," another cook said. "You can tell if you watch him."

She heard another crash of another plate breaking.

"Luffy, what are you doing over there?" She shouted as she walked over to the sink and the Straw hat kid. Her brown eyes wandered to the sink to see several plates broken within the sink that was barely filled with water. "Get away from the sink. Now!"

She didn't want to deal with anything else being broken today but now she had to deal with broken plates. Let alone the wall and the ceiling needed to be fixed. And she couldn't even forget the table and chair Patty broke when he confronted Gin.

"Why?" Luffy asked, confused.

"Are you being serious?" Rin shrieked at him.

"Chore boy," Patty said, walking over and glared at the Seventeen-year-old boy. "How many of these plates have you broken?"

Luffy dropped the plate he was holding onto the floor and said, "Oh, sorry. I forgot to count."

"He was breaking them on purpose!" Rin shouts into the air. How dumb was this pirate? You don't go around breaking plates on purpose.

"That's not what I meant!" Patty shouts. "Apologize for breaking them!"

Another cook walked over with a broom and said to Luffy, "Forget about washing dishes. Clean that area!"

"Okay, leave it to me," Luffy said as he took the broom.

"Somehow he's going to screw it up," Rin mumbled to them.

Luffy quickly took a piece of meat from a plate and ate it.

"Don't take food!" a cook snapped at him.

"What's wrong with you?"

"That's a main dish!"

Rin just stared in shock at the boy's action.

"Oh, don't worry about it!" Luffy admits to the group before touching a hot pan with his right hand which started to burn a bright red before, he yanked his hand away with a scream and fell to the ground in pain. Only the moment Luffy hit the floor the sudden shake of the ground caused every dish, pan, and glass to fall over onto the ground with him. "Ouch!"

"Aaahhh!" Rin said in shock. Her brown eyes went wide by the sudden event. How was this even possible?

Luffy quickly stood up holding his burning hand and began to run around and shouting, "OW. Ow! Ow!" As he hit shelves and workstations and sent bowls, pans, pots, glasses, dishes and forks onto the floor.

"Get out of the kitchen!" Rin, Patty and every other cook in the room ordered the Straw Hat kid.

Patty quickly grabbed Luffy by the chin and spat, "You go take orders, okay?" He began to carry the kid out of the kitchen. "Go ask what customers want to eat! You can do it, can't you?"

Luffy gave a small nod, "Yes."

At least the kitchen was safe from Luffy for the time being. Rin stared at the more broke glass that lined the floor. How many more things were going to be broken today?

"Rin," Patty shouts from the staircase.

"What?" the female asked as she continued to pick up the mess Luffy had made earlier.

"Somethings happening downstairs."

"Is Sanji flirting with another woman and Luffy causing another mess," The blonde said because she was not interested in watching or finding out what was going on within the dining area.

"It's Zeff and Sanji."

The brown-eyed female raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

Patty frowned for a second before saying, "Come see for yourself."

Rin got up from the ground and placed a few dished backs onto a workstation before walking to the stairs and saw the area overlooking the dining area. Sanji and Zeff were glaring at each other. Rin also noticed Luffy with three other people which might have been his crew.

"Leave this place with them," Zeff demanded to Sanji. "Take your sister with you. Neither of you are no longer needed at this restaurant!"

Rin paled at the words. What? Zeff wants us to join Luffy's crew.

"Hey you damn geezer!" Sanji spat toward the owner of the restaurant. "I'm the Sous Chef here. Rin basically fixes anything that breaks and makes the clothes. What do you mean you no longer need either of us?"

Zeff crossed his arms and gave Sanji an answer. "You often get into trouble with customers. You flare your nostrils the second you see a girl. You can't even cook a decent meal, so you're a deadweight to this restaurant. As for Rin- "

"Don't bring my soeur into this," Sanji stated to the older Chef. "If you have a problem with me, then say it again?"

"Also, the other cooks steer clear of you…" Zeff explained as Sanji looked up and noticed Rin and the other cooks watching what was being spoken down stairs. "So go be a pirate or whatever, and just leave this restaurant already!"

Rin frowned at the conversation. She knew that Sanji didn't want to leave this place, but Zeff quickly wanted Sanji to go out into the world. Rin still remembered that dream of seeing the All Blue. Was this why Zeff wanted Sanji to go off with the pirate and take her with him?

Sanji narrowed his eyes and said, "Say what? If I keep quiet, you just shoot your mouth off, huh? You damn geezer! The rest I could overlook, but I'm not gonna let you trash my cooking! No matter what you say, I'll stay here as a cook!" he quickly moved forward and grabbed Zeff's shirt which made Rin flinch as the sudden movement. "And that's final!" he declared.

"Just what's the meaning of you grabbing the owner by the collar?" Zeff demanded before grabbing Sanji's throat.

"Oh no," Rin said as she paled.

This was not good.

"You idiot!" Zeff shouts before throwing Sanji across the room and into another table, which quickly breaks to pieces.

"Not another table," Rin mumbled under her breath.

"Damn you…" Sanji said as he slid onto the floor and sat up. "Quit screwing around… No matter how hard you try to kick me out, I'll continue to work here as a cook… until you die!"

Zeff turned and walked away and gave a small reply. "I won't die! I'll live 100 more years!"

Rin shook her head before feeling a hand touch her shoulder. "Huh?" she asked as she turned around.

Patty stood holding a plate of food toward her. "Order for table 6."

Rin already understood what Patty was doing and it was finding an excuse for her to leave the kitchen area and check in on Sanji down in the dining area. She quickly took the plate and walked down the stairs to see how Sanji was going with the plate in her hands.

"That geezer is never short of words…" Sanji grumbled.

Luffy had the biggest grin that Rin had seen on his face since he got here. The Straw Hat teen quickly placed a hand on Sanji's shoulder and said, "All right, you have permission! Now you can become a pirate."

Sanji wiped his head around and shouted, "No way!"

Rin let out a small breath the moment she heard the words. That was always going to be Sanji's answer to the Straw Hat teen.

Suddenly everything within Sanji's mannerism changed the moment his eyes landed on someone. He quickly sat up the fallen table with a grin on his face as he spoke softly and friendly, "Now…sorry about that."

Rin's eyes grew wide. "Sanji…don't you even dare."

Sanji quickly grabbed the food off the plate she was holding and laid down the fruit class and began to pour wine for the only female within Luffy's pirate group.

"You have got to be kidding me…that food was for another table," Rin spat at him.

The female from Luffy's pirate group, Nami, if she remembers what Luffy had told them a few hours before. Had very short red hair that was near her shoulders with light brown hair with smooth skin and a soft and friendly smile. Nami sat at the table looking at the fruit and the wine that Sanji was giving her-Rin could already tell that Nami was one to use female charm to get men to do whatever she wanted.

"I'd like to make up for it by serving your fruit Macedonia, my princess," Sanji admits to Nami with a love sick smile.

"Wow," the female said with a grin and hands joyfully clasped together. "Thank you! You're so kind."

"Thanks."

Rin frowned at her brother's flirting.

Only before anything else could be said another member of Luffy's pirate crew shouted toward Sanji, "And no apology to us?" This member was a male with dark skin, a very long nose that was pointed, along with shoulder length jet black hair. He wore brown overalls and a strange looking bandanna. "I'm gonna sue you, you stupid love cook!"

That's a new comeback that I never heard directed at Sanji before. Rin thought as she stared at the scene in front of her, but Sanji didn't even seem phased by the outburst.

Sanji quickly grabbed a cup of tea from the plate that Rin held and quickly moved it toward the long nose male. "I'm serving you tea, aren't I? Thank me for that, long nose."

"It's someone else's tea," Rin stated to her brother but she already knew every word that left her mouth was falling on deaf ears.

"Huh?" Long nose said with a heated glare within his eyes and shouted toward Sanji, "You wanna fight? I won't go easy on you." Then he quickly pointed his thumb at Sanji and shouted toward his green haired friend on the older side of the table. "Beat him up, Zoro!"

Zoro was drinking a glass of wine before sweat dropped off his head as he looked at the male that called his name rather annoyed by the demand. "Do it yourself."

Nami quickly put her hands together in a small prayer and stared cutely at Sanji and spoke in a soft and girly voice, "Stop! Please don't fight because of me."

Sanji turned his attention back to the red-haired female with heart eyes once more and gave a lovely dovely answer, "Yes, I'll stop."

Rin rolled her brown eyes because Sanji was being played as a fool by another female that crossed his path. Why did Sanji's attraction to girls always make him turn into a love sick fool? She never would know no matter what she tried to blame or find the answer to this question.

"Who said it was because of you?" Long nose snapped in furious at Nami.

Nami went back to acting all cutely toward Sanji. "By the way, you know…"

"Yes?" Sanji asked

"The food you have here is delicious…" Nami quickly lifted her left hand to stock Sanji's chin which only made the blonde hair male melt at the touch. "But it seems a little expensive for me…"

"Of course, it'll be free." Sanji said even more in love.

Rin felt fire run through her veins at her brother's comment before she slammed the plate onto Sanji's head. Her brother quickly fell to the floor with the broken plate shattering to pieces on the floor. "You can't give food away for free, idiot." She shouts as she grabs his ear and pulls rather hard.

"Ow, Rin," Sanji winced.

"No more lovey dovey heart eyes for a female for the rest of the day or so help me you're going into the ocean." Rin was alright with pushing her brother into the open sea and having him swim after the restaurant. She'd done it before when she had enough of Sanji's flirting.

Sanji seemed to notice the enraged fire burning within her eyes and backed away. "Of course, Rin. I wouldn't flirt…for at least the rest of the day."

The blonde-haired female gave him a small grin. "Good. Or there will be hell to pay."

"Of course."

Luffy gave a small laugh which caused everyone to turn and see him sitting at a table.

"Seriously, chore boy," Rin snapped at him. "Get to work." She quickly hit Luffy over the head with a fist onto the top of his head.

"Ow, not another person with the fist of love," Luffy grumbled as he rubbed his head.

Fist of…what? Rin thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Get back to work! The both of you when I go get table six their food…again."

With that being said she began to march back toward the kitchen with a cold glare within her eyes. Today was a terrible day with everything getting broken. Only Rin did help add to the many broken plates, tables, chairs, walls and ceilings.

This was a small thing: the restaurant suffers more than anything in the high seas.
