Izuku feels fucky right now. He's felt … not good for a few months now. Right now though, he just feels weird. He had a quirk. Honest to god, he had one. A good one too apparently.
He didn't need to get his dream crushed when he was a kid. He didn't need to get left behind by all of his friends. He didn't need any of his relationship with Bakugou to go the way it did. He didn't need that pity from his mother, god bless her because she means well and wants nothing but the best for him. That didn't stop it from hurting. I mean he's fine you know. Like it happened, whatever. There's nothing he can do about it now. It didn't need to happen though.
He never would have died. If his telekinesis was as strong as they said it was he never would have died. He never would have become a vampire. He never would have become a vigilante. He never would have made any of his friends. Never would have got any of them killed either.
He likes being a vigilante. He's not. He's not really happy these days. Well fuck that's not true actually. Well it is but he hasn't really been happy in a while. Like ten or so years. He's been entertained and even content occasionally but happy. No, not happy. Vigilantism is what makes him happy.
Well he wouldn't really be himself though would he? If he had his quirk that is. His powerlessness defined him. It defines how he uses his current powers. Sure he does good. He helps people. He really likes feeling powerful though. He knows that it's a little selfish but he likes it. He likes beating people. When did he start considering them people? Bad people for sure but still people.
Maybe it's for the best that he got his quirk taken. He's strong now. He's got friends that make him happy in the moment. Still most are dead. Actually fuck that noise, his quirk was stolen from him. His social standing was stolen from him. His whole damn childhood was stolen from him. He just let it go too. He should go back there and… he's not doing a damn thing.
Whatever. It sucks but it all sucks. Always has and always will. He'll just keep doing what he was doing.
He's getting a little tired of thinking. It's important to reflect and all but he's done. He'll pick it back up later. Or not, we'll see.
For now, he's back at that theme park. He knows he told All For One that it looked fine but he's taking a second look. That and picking up all the bullet casings he left. Whoops.
He's following the scent of gunpowder. He's pretty sure this is the last one and… Kurogiri is here. All For One probably sent him to take a look around.
"Hey." Izuku calls out.
Kurogiri whips around, startled, "Oh. Good Morning Sir."
"And to you." Izuku replies, "Looking around?"
"Yes. Looking for anything that looks like a killing and not just quirk training or a fight." replies Kurogiri.
"I know I said things look good here, but I kinda lied. Forgot really I was stoned. I shouldn't have been but y'know how it is." says Izuku as he picks up the last casing.
"Is that all we have to worry about?" asks Kurogiri.
"Yeah, we dusted most of the evidence and this is the last one I can smell." says Izuku.
"Good." replies Kurogiri.
"Would it be alright if I could talk to your boss? Just real quick." asks Izuku.
"Define quick?" asks Kurogiri as he pulls out his phone.
"I have somewhere to be in half an hour quick." replies Izuku.
After 20 maybe thirty seconds Kurogiri opens a portal.
It isn't the operating room this time. It's the usual warehouse. All For One seems to have fixed his chair. Or he just had a spare.
"Midoriya." says All For One.
"Hey."
Man the air is tense. Kurogiri isn't leaving either.
"No board game this time?" asks Izuku trying to clear the air.
"Shogi?" asks All For One.
"What about candy land?" asks Izuku with what he hopes is a disarming smile.
A portal opens above them and a table with a shogi board and a chair for Izuku fall out.
Izuku takes a seat, "It's cool if I ask him to portal me to my meeting right? Otherwise I don't really have time to play."
"It's fine." replies All For One.
"How are we?" asks Izuku.
"I don't blame you in the slightest. I don't like parting with quirks either." says All For One.
"That's a relief." says Izuku.
"So why visit now?" asks All For One.
"I just want to be as clear on things as possible on our deal before I explain it to Victor and Speed Demon." says Izuku.
"That being the meeting you mentioned?" asks All For One.
"That's the one." says Izuku.
Izuku and All For One start their game and iron out the details of their arrangement. Victor is already in on things and knows what's happening. Not with any detail just that Izuku has some remarkably powerful villain friend that can keep them safe. Speed Demon is gonna get the offer today. It's not that he didn't mean to tell Speed Demon or anything but Speed Demon is a little disconnected from their group. Izuku still considers him one of his best friends though. They text all the time but even that's been slowing down. He also lets them both know he's going to be a little late. He also texts Kurogiri the coordinates he wants the portal at at some point.
"So you really don't know his name?" asks All For One, he sounds amused.
"He's Speed Demon." Izuku says, shrugging.
All For One laughs at that a bit.
"Look. I'm gonna talk to him in a minute. I'll find out if he wants in and if he does we'll work on it. For now though, is there anything I should do?" asks Izuku.
"Do you have a picture of them?" asks All For One.
Izuku pulls out his wallet, "Yeah, here."
The picture he hands them is a selfie they took the first time they saw each other's faces. They were all a little hesitant at first.
The smile comes off of All For One's face.
"Who is this?"
"The big one is Victor, that's me in the middle, and the skinny one is Speed Demon." says Izuku, a little confused.
"No." says All For One, he looks confused too.
"What do you mean?" asks Izuku.
"That's Ichiro Touma." says All For One.
"I don't know who that is." says Izuku.
"The leader of the Japanese branch of the Serpent. Well just the actual leader now." says All For One.
"What why would he be-" starts Izuku, oh. Oh that's why he, "GET ME THERE NOW."
Izuku jumps out of the chair, pulls out his magnum and dead sprints through the portal the second it opens, pulling his mask up along the way.
