It was a longish weekend as it was nothing but Derek and I hiding in any little corner to have any time together. Currently, we were in my room, I lost my top as Derek removes his.
" God, even when we are close together I want to feel you on me, touching me," I say as Derek growled in my ear, it felt so sensual and wanted. I felt Derek reaching for my bra as I licked his mark. He pulled it off of me and I was bared topless.
" God, you are perfect." He says as his eyes flash that crimson wolf red I loved dearly, but I did miss his steel blue wolf eyes. A scream broke us apart. I stared out the window.
" What the hell was that?" I asked as Derek got up.
" I don't know, but I'm going to find out." He replied as I got a spare shirt on.
" I'll see if my cousin or Stiles know anything." I said as I grabbed the keys to my bike. Derek pulled me to him and gave me a deepening kiss.
" Later?" He asked with that grin that made my mark pulse and me top bite my lower lip.
" As always." I grinned before I grabbed my jacket. I felt Derek slap my ass, god did I want to put this thing back on, but we got a mystery to solve. I got outside to feel the cold. I text Scott about his whereabouts.
Hospital. S.
" Fucking fantastic." I said as I got on my bike and drove. Curiosity filled my mind as I swerved past multiple people before reaching my destination.
" Get in." Scott said as I pulled up.
" What the hell was that scream?" I asked as Stiles, Scott, and Allison looked at me.
" Where the hell have you been!" Stiles exclaimed as I looked at Scott.
" Probably with Derek all weekend." Scott said as I nodded.
" Bingo." I said as I watched Allison getting into the jeep.
" Lydia let out that scream and now she's missing." Stiles said as I nodded.
" Follow us." Scott told me. I followed them closely. We soon found our way to the preserve.
" So you and Derek?" Scott asked as he spoke up. I parked my bike.
" Yeah, it's a bonding thing. Not much is recorded about my kind Scotty, I'd like to keep it that way." I told him, he nodded.
" So how do you ya know?" Scott asked as I smirked.
" If water touches me, I pop a tail. Water can be manipulated with my mind." I told him before a thought popped in my mind.
" Does Allison know?" I asked fearing I was outed at the fight between us and Peter.
" No, her dad doesn't either, when he told me to never see Allison again, he told me to make sure that you didn't cause trouble whatever the hell you were, but I think he knows about you and Derek." Scott said as I nodded, that's a good sign.
" Bad about the suspecting of Derek and I's personal relation, but good on them not knowing what I am, Let's keep it that way." I say as we found ourselves at the Hale House.
" She came here? You sure?" Stiles asked as I leaned on a tree. I felt my mate's mark throbbing slightly and Derek's worry in the bond. He was worried, what for?
" Yeah, this is where the scent leads." Scott says as I sniffed the area, Lydia's faint trail, and oh no! Mine and Derek's! I blushed as I see Scott looking at me. I wave him off as I look up at the moon. The deep connections between mermaids and the moon ran deep. My mind is drawn out as I feel something, but it vanished when I see Scott hanging upside down.
" Next time you see a tripwire - don't trip it." Scott said as I fell to the ground laughing my ass off. I get up to help him, but I hear footsteps coming our way.
" Sorry guys." I said before quickly running into the Hale House. I see Chris Argent and two fucking people behind him.
" Fuck sakes." I say under my breath before focusing on the conversation.
" Scott?" Chris said as I see Scott smirking in a friendly way.
" Mr. Argent." My cousin says in a calm tone, good boy Scotty!
" How are you doing?" The hunter asked as Scott chuckled a bit.
" Good. You know, just hangin' out. Is this one of yours? It's, uh, good. Nice design. Very constricting." Scott says rambling, no he's nervous!
" What are you doing out here, Scott?" Chris asked my relative.
" Looking for my friend." Scott replied as I felt fear entering my body. If Derek feels this, I'm sure he's on his way to find me. I feel like I'll be in trouble. Not the sexy way either. I focused back on the conversation.
" I hope so. 'Cause I know she's a friend of Allison's, and two special circumstances, such as yourself - one, and the other being your mysterious cousin, both I can handle. Not three." Chris said as I felt my heart stop.
" Sorry Scott, I gotta back out. This is too much, gotta watch my tail." I said lowly. I hope it was loud enough for him to hear cause I bolted quickly back to my bike. Trying to catch my breath. I calmed before I felt someone's hands on my hips. I turned around to see Derek with his alpha eyes glowing.
" Are you ok? Are you hurt?" He asked as I shook my head.
" Argent's father found Scott, he won't hurt him but I bolted after hearing him." I said as Derek looked over me. He calmed down and inhaled my scent. He calmed as I leaned into him.
" Can't lose you." He whispered as he kissed my neck.
" Let's get back to my place. I've had enough fear running through my veins for the next full fucking moon." I said before I got on my bike.
" I'll see you there." Derek says before he wolf runs off. I start my bike and ride home. I sighed as I parked my bike and went inside. As I locked the door, I heard footsteps upstairs. I smirked before heading up to my room to see Derek with that god damn smirk on his face. I smiled as he walked over to me, I felt him press me against my door that shut as he pressed me to it and kissed me. I felt warmth and love with it. He pulled away as I let my eyes glow.
" God I love you." I say as he looked taken aback, did I just say?
" What?" Derek asked as I hid my face. Two months of being together and I said it already. Derek pulled my hands away from my face.
" I said I love you." I say as he smiled. I felt warmth and safety with the bond moving.
" Marina, you mean the world to me." Derek started but I placed a finger on his lips.
" I know my love." I said before he caresses my cheeks and leads me to my bed, behind me he removes my top and removes my pants. I turn around, I remove his shirt and he kicks off his pants. We lay in bed together.
" Marina." He says as he pulls me to him. I look into his eyes.
" I love you too." He whispers as I kissed him softly. He presses into the kiss and I fall asleep in his arms.
The moonlight was bright as all hell as Derek chased me into the woods, he tackled me as I kissed him. Our bodies together as one till the screams of terror pull us apart. We were separated as I growled out.
I woke up to Derek still holding me. I smirked as I attempted to get out of bed, only to feel strong arms around my waist.
" I have school." I told him but he groans.
" Skip." He said as I chuckled.
" That's what you always say when I have obligations." I said as he chuckled. He sat up and kissed my shoulder blade.
" Cause I'd rather you stay in bed with me." He said as I felt his want and need for me most important, I felt his deep love for me incase itself in the bond.
" Where did you head off to when I went looking for Lydia?" I asked as Derek looked at me as I turned to him.
" Went searching and found a rogue omega had trapped this teen under a CAT." He said as I listened.
" Where at?" I asked as I got up to get dressed.
" Cemetary, looked like he was prepping a grave." Derek replied as I put on some worn jeans and a long sleeve red top.
" Wait as in curly hair, kind of lanky?" I asked him as he nodded.
" That's Isaac Lahey, Scott told me that his dad isn't a good guy." I told him as I put on some boots.
" Kid looks like he's taken a bit of a beating." Derek said as he got out of bed, I watched him grab my favorite leather jacket.
" He is a loner." I told my man as he came up to me.
" He looks like he needs a boost." Derek says as his eyes flash. I know what he is saying.
" You mean to turn him?" I asked as Derek stood silent.
" If you turn him or others you have to explain that this isn't a cakewalk." I say as Derek smiles.
" I'm always thorough." He replied before I turned around and he helped me get my jacket on.
" Took you a bit to find out I was your Princess Mermaid." I said as he chuckled.
" True, but all the sweeter." He said as I turned to him.
" I'll see you later." I replied before throwing him his pants. I grabbed by bag and headed to my bike. I was pulled away before I was brought into Derek's arms again as he placed a warm kiss on my cheek.
" Now I'll see you later, my water lily." Derek says before walking into the woods that held some fog. I smirked before riding off to school. As I went to my classes, I was bored out of my mind, I knew practically everything. The bell rings as I feel Derek is nearby. I followed the feeling and saw Derek and Jackson in the men's bathroom.
" If something's wrong, I need to know. You're with me now." Derek said as I was surprised, I had a feeling that he turned Jackson, but what was wrong? I smelt rotten blood.
" Wait - With you? Me with - With you? What am I, your little pet? I mean, just because you gave me "the bite" doesn't mean I'm part of your little wolf pack. Sorry, but to be honest, you don't exactly show outstanding leadership qualities." Jackson said as I revealed myself.
" Is that so?" Derek asked before his eyes looked in the mirror and saw me.
" Look, I've got my own agenda. Which doesn't involve running around the woods at night, howling at the moon with you and McCall, or Marina, I know she's not a werewolf or whatever, okay? So why don't you just back the fu.." Jackson started but I see the black blood. I walked up to him and turned his face to look at the mirror.
" What is it? What's happening?" Jackson asked as I knew immediately.
" Body's fighting the bite." Derek said as I quickly took his hand, a bit of fear filling my body.
" Why?" Jackson asked as I was more worried about what Jackson's fate was. Sure he annoyed me and risked a lot last month, but he didn't deserve to die.
" I don't know." I said firmly as Jackson looked as his ears bled black.
" What does it mean? What does it mean?!" Jackson asked as Derek and I backed away. I got a rag and helped him clean up.
" You'll be ok, just go on as if everything is ok." I told him, he nodded and left the bathroom. I soon took Derek's hand and we went to an empty classroom.
" I know about Jackson." I say as Derek stood firm.
" Is he going to die?" I asked as he shrugged.
" He would be dead by now, but we should keep an eye on him." He replied before I nodded, he came over and embraced me.
" You need to come to the Hale House after school, we need to talk about the new Argent situation." Derek said as I nodded, whatever that meant, it couldn't be good.
" Please stay safe." He said as I nodded, he kissed me before heading out. School went rather fast as I just drowned out a lot of things. Assignments completed and papers to do. The final bell rang before I headed to my bike. I rode off and found myself at the Hale House a little before dark after doing my homework. I parked and headed inside to see Derek sitting at the table.
" I guess this isn't us continuing our sexy-filled night last night." I say as Derek shook his head.
" A new Argents in town. His name is Gerard and I don't think he is in town just for Kate's funeral." He replied as I felt fear set in my heart, Derek got up, walked to me, and held me.
" It's going to be ok." He whispered to me.
" Right after Peter's chaos." I said as I looked into his eyes, I feel mine glowing. Derek pulled me into a kiss that reassured my trust and safety. We pulled apart. I heard some rustling in the woods as night fell.
" Something is up." I say as Derek took my hand. I heard Scott's voice.
" Scott!" I said in a panic tone. Derek's eyes flashed and I responded.
" We will find him." My lover said as we ran. We found Scott trying to help a lone omega.
" Wait here. Don't move." Derek said as I nodded quickly. I watched as Derek dragged my cousin to me. Scott struggled, but when he saw me, He looked worried. The three of us watched as Chris, an old man, that had to be Gerard, and a couple of hunters surround the snarling werewolf. I saw Chris take his electric baton and strike the wolf, his pain-filled growls echoed as he transformed back.
" Who are you? What are you doing here?" Chris asked the wolf, he stammered.
" You're not from here, are you? Are you?!" Chris yelled at him.
" No. No, I came - I came looking for the Alpha and his mate. I heard he was here. That's all. Look, I didn't do anything. I didn't hurt anyone. No one living. He wasn't alive in the ambulance. He wasn't, I swear." The wolf said as his fear was loud and it terrified me. Wait the Alpha and his mate!
" Gentlemen! Take a look at a rare sight. You wanna tell them what we've caught?" Gerard called to them.
" An Omega." Chris replied as they looked similar, probably father and son.
" The lone wolf! Possibly kicked out of his own pack. Or the survivor of a pack that was hunted down. Maybe even murdered. And possibly alone by his own choice. Certainly not a wise choice." Gerard said as I watched him pull a broad sword from his clothed sheath. No!
" Because, as I am about to demonstrate" He said as he showed the sword to the group.
" an Omega rarely survives." He said as he looked ready to swing it, he wouldn't!
" On his own." Gerard said as he then swung the sword and cut the werewolf in half. I covered my mouth to prevent any scream from leaving, fear bursting through me.
" Look. Look. Look at them! You see what they do? This is why you need me. Why we need each other. The only way to fight them is together. " Derek said as he held Scott, he looked at me with a determined look almost protective.
" What are they doing?" I asked my mate, he looked afraid but I see him hiding it well.
" Declaring war." Derek said as I see Chris walk up to him.
" We have a code." Chris said as I see Gerard with anger and declaration on his face.
" Not when they murder my daughter." He said before slamming the sword in the ground. He turned to Chris.
" No code. Not anymore. From now on, these things are just bodies waiting to be cut in half. Are you listening? Because I don't care if they're wounded and weak. Or seemingly harmless - begging for their life with the promise that they will never, ever hurt anyone. Or some desperate, lost soul with no idea what they're getting into. We find them. We kill them. We kill them all." The elder Argent had declared. Derek, Scott, and I turned back. We all stopped at the Hale House.
" You have to keep Marina safe." Scott told Derek, who looked at me then back at my cousin.
" Always." Derek replied before I was on my bike.
" We have one more thing to do." Derek said as I nodded, I remained quiet.
" The old substation." He said as I nodded. I felt mixed emotions. I rode the both of us to it and as soon as we arrived, I broke down. Derek held me tightly as my fear grew too much.
" I won't let anything happen to you. It's because I love you." Derek said as I let a heavy breath out. He calmed me down and lead me to the substation after I put my bike in park in an abandoned building with a roof, old train cars together, and such.
" Remember when I said we need to keep ourselves safe?" Derek asked as I nodded.
" I did promise to tell anyone I turn the full picture." Derek said as I hear footsteps, I see Isaac.
" Teach him right." I said as Derek nodded. I watched as he walked to Isaac. They talked before Isaac pulled his wrist out and Derek bit down. Isaac's pain-filled yell echoed through the building. Derek nodded him off and Isaac took off. Derek came back as I sat down.
" We need to get you home, it's going to rain." He says as I got up, he embraced me before I go to my bike.
" I won't let anyone hurt you." Derek says as I gave a reassuring smile. He paces one final kiss upon my lips before I ride off. It wasn't long before I got into my house and up the stairs to my room. I worry about what is to come in Beacon Hills, but right now all I need is sleep. I remove my clothes and let myself fall into a deep sleep the moment the covers are on me.
