Chapter 34

Davis led the group through the portal, feeling a sense of unease wash over him. The Dark Ocean World was a place of darkness, full of secrets and unknown dangers. But they had a mission to complete, and they couldn't let their fears get in the way.

As they emerged from the portal, they found themselves in Izzy's bedroom. The room was quiet, and the only sound was the soft hum of Izzy's computer. Davis turned to the group, a sense of relief washing over him.

"We made it," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Matt nodded, his eyes scanning the room. "Where's Izzy?"

"I'm right here," came a voice from behind them. They turned to see Izzy, Joe, and Cody standing in the doorway.

"What happened?" Izzy asked, his eyes narrowing as he took in the group's appearance. "Did you find what you were looking for?"

Davis took a deep breath, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of everything that had happened. "We found the open portal," he said finally. "But we didn't stay long. It was too dangerous."

Cody stood in the middle of the room, his eyes scanning the faces of his friends. Matt, Mimi, Davis, TK, and Kari all looked back at him expectantly. But something was missing. "Where is Ken, Yolei, Sora, and Tai?" Cody asked, his voice filled with concern.

Davis, who had been catching his breath on Izzy's bed, looked up from his book. "Ken and Yolei stayed behind to help Sora find Tai," he said, his voice strained.

As Davis sat on Izzy's bed, catching his breath with the book in his hand, Joe walked over to him. He pointed to the book and asked, "What is that?"

Davis looked up at Joe, "That," he said, "is Daemon's journal."

Izzy's eyes lit up. "That book might help us defeat Daemon," he said, pointing to the tome in Davis's hand.

TK shook his head. "That book only has Daemon's lustful desires for Yolei. Just love poems and other stuff you don't want to read it."

Matt and Mimi stood in the living room, surrounded by the sounds of laughter and chatter from their friends in the other room. Matt had been feeling uneasy for days, ever since he had slept with Dark Yolei. He knew he had to tell Mimi, but he didn't know how she would react.

"Mimi," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I have to tell you something."

Mimi turned to him, concern etched on her face. "What is it, Matt? You look like you've seen a ghost."

Matt took a deep breath and plunged ahead. "I slept with Yolei, I mean the fake one."

Mimi's eyes widened in surprise, but then she shrugged. "I know. And it's okay. We never said we were exclusive, Matt. I've slept with Daemon many times. Don't worry about it."

Matt felt a wave of relief wash over him. He had been worried that Mimi would be angry or hurt, but instead, she seemed understanding. He smiled at her, feeling grateful for her acceptance.

"Thank you, Mimi," he said. "I was worried about telling you, but you're amazing."

Mimi grinned at him. "I know I am," she said, teasingly. "But seriously, Matt, we're good. I'm not going to get upset over something like this."

Matt felt a weight lift off his shoulders, and he pulled Mimi into a hug. He was grateful for her understanding and acceptance, and he knew that he was lucky to have her in his life.

He took a deep breath and said, "We can't still sleep together when you're in town. Right?"

Mimi looked surprised, but then a small smile crept onto her face. She leaned in and kissed him gently, then pulled back and said, "Yes, of course."

Mimi took Matt's hand and followed him into Izzy's room.

As they entered the room, Mimi was greeted by the sight of Davis, Joe, TK, Izzy, Cody, and Kari huddled around Izzy's computer screen, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the monitor. They all turned to look at her and Matt as they entered, and Mimi felt a thrill of excitement run through her.

"Hey guys!" she exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "What's going on?"

Izzy turned back to his computer screen and typed something quickly into his keyboard. "Just checking out some new leads on the digital world," he said, his voice low and serious.

In the Digital World, Ken, Yolei, and Sora were on a mission to find their missing friend, Tai. They had been searching for hours, and their spirits were starting to wane. But just as they were about to give up hope, they saw a small house in the distance.

As they approached the house, they heard a man grunting from an open window at the back. Sora pointed at the window and said, "Let's go check it out."

Ken hesitated. He didn't want to put his friends in danger, but he also couldn't let them go alone. "I'll go look," he said, "you and Yolei stay here."

Ken made his way to the back of the house, careful to stay hidden. He peeked through the window and saw Tai on a Bed behind Dark Yolei thrusting into her. Ken couldn't believe what he was seeing. Tai, his best friend, and Dark Yolei, the corrupted version of his friend's girlfriend, were in a compromising position. Ken's mind raced with questions. How did this happen? Why was Tai with Dark Yolei? Did he know it was her? Ken's heart sank as he realized that Daemon was behind Tai's actions.

Ken couldn't bear to watch any longer, so he quietly made his way back to Sora and Yolei. He tried to keep his composure, but his mind was in turmoil. Sora noticed the look on his face and asked, "What did you see?"

Dark Ken walks behind Ken, Yolei and Sora, Dark Ken says, "Go ahead tell her."

Ken's heart raced as he heard Dark Ken's words. He had hoped that his dark alter ego would keep quiet, but it seemed that he had other plans. Ken could feel the weight of Yolei and Sora's eyes on him, waiting for an explanation.

"Shut up," Ken said, hoping that his voice didn't betray the fear he felt inside.

But Dark Ken wasn't one to be silenced. He moved closer to Sora and pointed to the house in front of them. Ken's eyes followed his dark alter ego's finger, and he saw Tai's house. He knew that Tai and Yolei had been spending a lot of time together lately, but he had never suspected anything more.

"Your boyfriend Tai, sleeping with the other Yolei," Dark Ken said with a smirk.

Dark Ken spoke up again, his voice dripping with malice. "Don't waste your tears, Sora. Do you want to get even?" Sora looked up at him, confused. What did he mean by getting even? Did he want her to hurt Tai and other Yolei the way they had hurt her?

Yolei stepped forward, pushing Dark Ken away from Sora. "Don't listen to him," she said firmly. "He's just trying to make things worse."

Dark Ken's eyes glinted with malice as he stepped closer to Yolei. She could feel her heart racing as she tried to steady her breathing. She knew that she was no match for him, but she refused to back down. She stood her ground, staring him down with fierce determination.

"I will make you regret that," Dark Ken hissed, his voice low and menacing. Yolei could feel the weight of his words bearing down on her, threatening to crush her spirit. But she refused to give in. She had come too far to let him win.

Suddenly, Dark Ken whistled, and Yolei felt a surge of fear course through her veins. She had no idea what he was summoning, but she knew it couldn't be good. And then, out of nowhere, a massive creature appeared before them. It was Atlas Mothmon, one of the largest Digimon they have ever seen in the Digital World.

Yolei watched in horror as Atlas Mothmon charged at Ken, ready to attack. But then, something unexpected happened. Yolei rushed forward to block the attack, putting herself in harm's way to protect her enemy. And in that moment, everything changed.

Atlas Mothmon stopped in its tracks, its memories flooding back to when Yolei had saved it from a life of darkness. It remembered the kindness and compassion that she had shown it, and it couldn't bring itself to harm her. And so, it turned away, leaving Yolei and Dark Ken alone once again.

Yolei breathed a sigh of relief, feeling the weight of the moment slowly lifting from her shoulders. She had faced her fears and come out victorious, even if it wasn't in the way that she had expected. And as she stood there, watching Atlas Mothmon disappear into the distance.

Yolei's heart was racing as she watched Atlas Mothmon fly away, transformed into a monstrous creature. She could feel the anger boiling up inside her as she walked over to Dark Ken, pushing him with all her might.

"What did you do to Atlas Mothmon?" she demanded, her voice shaking with fury. "He was a small, kind Digimon – and you turned him into a monster that's destroying the Digital World!"

Sora and Ken stepped forward, holding Yolei back before she could do any real damage. They knew that Dark Ken deserved everything she wanted to dish out, but they also knew that Yolei was too upset to think clearly.

"Easy, Yolei," Sora said softly, trying to calm her down. "We'll figure out what's going on and stop it. But we have to be careful."

Yolei steps closer to the house, "let's get Tai out of that house, then we will regroup with the others."

Daemon appears beside Yolei, Ken and Sora. He grabs Yolei by the arm. "You finally came back to me."

Yolei's heart pounded in her chest as she stepped away from Daemon, her eyes flickering between him and her friends. Ken and Sora stood beside her, their faces set in determination. Tai was nowhere to be seen, and Yolei couldn't help but wonder what had happened to him.

Ken spoke up, his voice firm. "Give us Tai, then we will leave."

Daemon's lips twisted into a cruel smile. "How about a trade? I will give your friend Tai back, let you and Sora leave, but Yolei stays with me. Or I kill you all now?"

Yolei's knees felt weak, but she refused to show any fear. She stood tall, her gaze locked with Daemon's. She knew she couldn't let her friends sacrifice themselves for her. "No," she said firmly. "I won't let you hurt them. Take me instead."

Ken's heart was pounding as he pulled Yolei into a kiss. He knew that he couldn't leave her with Daemon, the monster that had been causing so much destruction. Yolei's lips were soft against his, and for a moment, he forgot about everything else. He could feel her arms wrapped around his neck, and he pulled her closer.

Daemon's outstretched hand trembled slightly as he waited for Yolei's answer. "Do we have a deal?"

Yolei looked at Sora and Ken, her heart heavy with fear. She knew that if she didn't agree to Daemon's deal, she would be putting her friends in danger. But she also knew that she couldn't let the Digital World fall into chaos and destruction. She took a deep breath and made her decision.

"I will stay with you," she said to Daemon, "but they must not be harmed."

Dark Ken stood tall and imposing as he led Tai, Sora, and Ken towards Atlas Mothmon. The Digimon had flown down to them, its wings beating gracefully in the air. The portal to Tokyo was shimmering behind it, and Dark Kan gestured for the three humans to step forward.

"Leave now, before my creator changes his mind," he said, his voice low and gravelly. Tai and Sora exchanged worried glances, but Ken stepped forward without hesitation. He knew that they had to trust Dark Kan if they wanted to get home safely.

As they stepped through the portal, Ken couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. He was leaving his beloved Yolei with Daemon.

The portal closed behind them, and they found themselves standing in the middle of a busy Tokyo Street. The sounds of traffic and people filled their ears, and Tai breathed a sigh of relief. They were back home.

Yolei watched from a distance as the portal closed, her heart heavy with sadness. As Tai and Sora held Ken back from jumping back into the portal for Yolei.

Daemon walked ahead, his long black coat trailing behind him as he moved through the desolate landscape. Yolei trailed behind him, her eyes fixed on his back as she struggled to keep up. She couldn't believe that just a few hours ago, she had been fighting alongside her friends against the forces of darkness. Now, she was walking alongside the very embodiment of that darkness.

Daemon turned to look at her, his eyes filled with a sadness that Yolei couldn't quite understand. "Your friends will be okay," he said, his voice low and solemn.

Yolei glared at him, her fists clenched at her sides. "How can you say that?" she spat. "You're the reason they're in danger in the first place!"

Dark Yolei watched from the shadows as Daemon walked with Yolei. Her heart ached with envy, wishing it were her that was the object of his affection. Her mind raced with thoughts of how she could win Daemon's heart. She knew she was no match for Yolei's beauty and charm, but perhaps there was something else she could offer him. She would have to be clever, find a way to make him see her in a different light.

As she stood there, lost in her thoughts, Dark Ken approached her. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice low and soothing.

Dark Yolei turned to him, her eyes blazing with fury. "I will end her," she spat, her voice venomous.

Dark Ken raised an eyebrow, but he didn't seem surprised by her outburst. "What has she done to deserve that?"

Dark Yolei snarled. "She has everything I want. She has his love, his attention, his affection. And I have nothing."
