It was a beautiful day with the sun shining from a clear, blue sky. There was birdsong as a young man span slowly in the middle of the field. His eyes had a glassy, drugged appearance and there was an imprint of a kiss in red lipstick is just above his lips on the right side of his face. He was approached by three men, two were young men armed and the third was an older man in an evening jacket. The older man used his handkerchief to wipe at the lipstick. The men were actually on a galaxy class ship inside the bio dome.

"Hallucinogenic lipstick. She's still here." He turned and walked away leaving the man in the forest and walked into another corridor on the ship. A woman was striding along another corridor in red high heels, her black dress swirling at her ankles. She stopped in front of a door, pulled a gun from her small bag and fired out the lock. The door slid open to reveal a black cube with a hole through its centre. She tilted the cube so the top was facing towards her, changed the setting on the gun so it became a blowtorch and began to write on the cube.

Twelve thousand years in the future three Time Lords and Amy were walking through the start of a museum which looked more like a medieval church with sunlight shining through the windows.

"Wrong! Wrong! Bit right, mostly wrong. I love museums." Spoke the Doctor with enthusiasm. Harry and the Master were following behind also looking at the displays.

"Yeah, great. Can we go to a planet now? Big spaceship, Churchill's bunker? You promised me a planet next." Demanded Amy.

"Amy, this isn't any old asteroid. It's the Delerium Archive, final resting place of the headless monks, the biggest museum ever." Explained the Doctor to her.

"You've got a time machine, what do you need museums for?" Asked Amy

"Wrong! Very wrong! Oooh, one of mine. Also one of mine." The Doctor carried on speaking while looking into different display cases as they walked through the museum.

"Oh one of mine as well, not one of mine, but this one is as well!" Spoke the Master also looking in the glass display cases with Harry walking next to him.

"Another one of yours Master, I remember this, it wound me up you playing with this, oh and one of mine again why do they put the wrong ones in with ours do you think?" Explained then asked the Doctor.

"Because they are idiots why do you think! Oh, another one of mine as well!" Explained the Master pointing it out.

"Oh, I see. It's how you both keep score." Announced Amy as though she had just figured out what they were doing there. Something in the next display case caught the Doctors and Masters eye. It was an antique version of the box with the woman. Intrigued, the Doctor looked at the top which bore strange symbols.

"Oh great, an old box!" Spoke Amy sarcastically

"It's from one of the old star liners. A Home Box." Explained the Doctor.

"What's a Home Box?" Asked Amy confused.

"Like a black box on a plane, except it homes. Anything happens to the ship, the Home Box flies home from wherever the ship originated from, with all the flight data included in it the idea came from the black box on Earth and just spread out into the galaxy." Explained Harry to her.

"So?" asked Amy.

"The writing, the graffiti it is Old High Gallifreyan. The lost language of the Time Lords." Spoke the Master slightly shocked.

"There were days, there were many days, these words could burn stars, raise up empires, and topple worlds." Spoke the Doctor with some reverence in his voice.

"What does it say?" asked Amy.

"Hello, sweeties." Replied the Doctor looking at the other Time Lords.

"Now who would have written that? This is after the Time War they were all trapped, there is only the three of us who could have written it I would have thought!" Asked then exclaimed Harry confused.

.

.

At the ship in the past A door slid open to reveal the woman it was River Song. She looked straight into a security camera and winked before walking away.

.

.

Back at the museum, alarm bells rang as all four of them ran through the museum, the home box tucked under the Doctors arm. Harry was racing beside him, Amy and the Master behind them. They rushed into the TARDIS as two guards chased after them.

.

.

Back on the ship two armed guards turned a corner and stopped, rifles raised, as the same older man from before approached more sedately. He stood between the two guards.

"Party's over, Doctor Song." Spoke the older gentleman.

.

.

Back inside the TARDIS the two older Time Lords were hooking up the home box up to the console.

"Why are you doing this?" Asked Amy to the three of them.

"Because someone on a spaceship twelve thousand years ago is trying to attract our attention. Let's see if we can get the security playback working." Explained the Master. Grainy black and white footage of River Song winking at the camera appeared on the monitor. It then switched to River Song with her back to the camera facing a door.

"River Song can speak our native language there is no way we would have taught her that even if she is close family it is far too dangerous to speak. That's not possible, is it?" Explained then asked Harry shocked.

"Still, you're on board. After the part is over Doctor?" Asked the older Gentleman and River Song turned to face him.

"Sorry darling, I needed to see what was in your vault. Do you all know what's down there? Any of you? Because I'll tell you something. This ship won't reach its destination you've doomed the ship with your arrogance." She told them.

"Wait till she runs. Don't make it look like an execution, but I want her dead." Spoke the older man to the two guards he had with him.

"Triple-seven, five slash, three, four, nine by ten. Zero, twelve, slash, acorn. Oh, I could also do with an air corridor." Spoke River Song everyone in the TARDIS could see everything that the Home box had recorded.

"What was that? What did she say?" asked Amy.

"Co-ordinates! Arbitrator, get them laid into the navigator this is going to have to be timed perfectly, I'll set up the air corridor, Doctor, you catch her!" Spoke the Master

.

.

"Like I said on the dance floor, you might want to find something to hang on to!" River Song told them as a timer began to beep frantically, the older man realized what was about to happen and grabbed hold of one of the pipes on the wall. The two guards did the same. River Song blew a kiss just before the door behind her blew open and she was carried into space and directly to the TARDIS as it materialized. The Doctor has the doors open and caught her and dragged her in before slamming the door shut behind them, they fell onto the floor ungracefully.

"Doctor!" Spoke River Song realising who had caught her.

"River Song." Returned the Doctor pulling her up. They stood and watched the ship start to fly away.

"Follow that ship Arbitrator don't lose it!" Demanded River Song of him as soon as she saw it moving away from them on the monitors around the console unit. Both her and the Doctor ran to the console to help the other two Time Lords.

"They've gone into warp drive, we're losing them! Stay close!" Demanded Harry.

"OK. I've mapped the probability vectors, done a fold-back on the temporal isometry, charted the ship to its destination, and parked us right alongside it but I have no idea where we are." Said River Song as she finished helping the other three.

"You can drive the TARDIS?" Asked Amy shocked.

"Yes, it's quite easy especially since the Arbitrator designed the new control room and console unit." She answered while smiling at Harry, he gave her a grin back.

"Come along, Pond, and the rest of you let's have a look." Spoke the Doctor to the other four now in the TARDIS.

"No, wait! Environment checks as I said I don't know where we are." Spoke River Song stopping him for a second and looking at her.

"Oh, yes, sorry! Quite right. Environment checks. Nice out." The Doctor spoke as he leaned his head out of the TARDIS door.

"We're somewhere in the Garn Belt. There's an atmosphere. Early indications suggest." spoke Harry to them all.

"We're on Alfava Metraxis, the seventh planet of the Dundra System. Oxygen-rich atmosphere, toxins in the soft band, 11-hour day, and…...Chances of rain later." Announced the Doctor and pulled his head back in from sticking it out of the door and then joined them all at the console unit.

"How come you can use the TARDIS?" Asked Amy.

"Oh, I had lessons from the very best." River Song told Amy.

"Well, yeah." Spoke the Doctor with a big grin.

"It's a shame you and the Master were busy that day. It took the Arbitrator two hours to teach me everything I needed to know… Right then, why did they land here?" She asked them.

"They didn't land." Explained the Master.

"Sorry?" Asked River Song shocked.

"You should've checked the Home Box, it crashed." Explained the Master as they all watched River Song moving off to the door ready to leave the TARDIS both the Master and Harry were well aware of what the Doctor intended. River Song stepped outside and the Doctor closed the door behind her before heading back to the console.

"Explain! Who is that and how did she do that museum thing?" Demanded Amy

"It's a long story and we don't know most of it. Off we go!" spoke the Doctor.

"Pere we can't leave family like this you know that!" Harry told him.

"She's got where she wants to go, let's go where we want to go." Was the Doctors comeback.

"Are you basically running away?" Asked Amy.

"Yep." The Doctor told her.

"Why? Can you run away from that? You would leave family? Hang on, is that a planet out there?" Asked Amy to them all.

"Yes, of course it's a planet." Explained Harry seeing where the timeline was going.

"You promised me a planet. Five minutes?" asked Amy almost begging, the Doctor looked at the other two and the Arbitrator nodded, the Doctor sighed and gave in.

"OK, five minutes!" The Doctor told them.

"Yes!" Spoke Amy loudly and all of them started to make for the door.

"But that's all, cos I'm telling you now, that woman is not dragging us back into anything!" Spoke the Doctor with firmness knowing he was saying it for the Arbitrators benefit as much as Amy's. the four of them caught up with River Song who was looking over the crash site.

"What caused it to crash? Not me." Asked River Song.

"No, the airlock would have sealed seconds after you blew it. According to the Home Box, the warp engines had a phase-shift. No survivors." Spoke the Master reassuring her it wasn't her fault, they had promised their son they would be there for her if she ever needed them, and the Master was going to remind the Doctor of it.

"A phase-shift would have to be sabotage. I did warn them. Well, at least the building was empty. Aplan temple. Unoccupied for centuries." Explained River Song as she began to type into a handheld device as the Doctor walked back to the others.

"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Asked Amy unsure why the Doctor seemed annoyed at River Song.

"Amy Pond, Professor River Song." The Doctor told her without even looking at River Song.

"Ahhh, I'm going to be a Professor, someday am I? how exciting spoilers!" Asked River Song and the Doctor winced at his slip.

"Yeah, but who is she and how did she do that? She just left you a note in a museum!" Asked Amy to the others but none of the Time Lords answered.

"Two things always guaranteed to show up in a museum: The Home Box of category four star liner and, sooner or later, them. It's how the Doctor and Master keep score." Explained River Song to Amy pointing at the two older Time lords.

"I know." Laughed Amy to River Songs response.

"It's hilarious, isn't it?" Asked River Song

"We are nobody's taxi service! We're not going to be there to catch you every time you feel like jumping out of a spaceship." The Doctor told her.

"And you are so wrong. There's one survivor. There's a thing in the belly of that ship that can't ever die. Now they are listening!...You lot in orbit yet? Yeah, I saw it land. I'm at the crash site. Try and home in on my signal…. Doctor, can you sonic me? I need to boost the signal so we can use it as a beacon." Asked River Song showing him the device she needed boosting. The Doctor took out his sonic screwdRiver Song and uses it on River Song's communication device. She dropped a small curtsey.

"Ooh, Doctor! You soniced her! And you're a married man with a son!" Spoke Amy with amusement and a sparkle in her eyes.

"We have a minute. Shall we? Where were we up to? Have we done the Bone Meadows?" Asked River Song taking out the blue book and was looking through it.

"What's the book?" Asked Amy intrigued.

"Stay away from it!" Spoke Harry very seriously. Amy actually felt shock, Harry was always so laid back.

"What is it though?" Asked Amy confused over the way the Arbitrator spoke to her.

"Her diary." Spoke the Master with just as much seriousness in his voice.

"Our diary sweeties!" Corrected River Song.

"Her past, our...future. Time travel. We keep meeting in the wrong order with her. Hence the diary." Explained the Doctor

Four columns of swirling 'dust' appeared then turn into four soldiers in desert camouflage uniforms. One of the soldiers approached River Song.

"You promised me an army, Doctor Song." Spoke an officer who looked to be in charge.

"No. I promised you the equivalent of an army. This is the Doctor, Master and the Arbitrator with their companion Amy!" Explained River Song, the Bishop looked up at the four and shook first the Doctors then the Masters, Harry's and then Amy's hand.

"Father Octavian, sirs, madam. Bishop, second class. Twenty five clerics at my command. The troops are already in the drop ship and landing shortly. Doctor Song was helping us with a covert investigation. Has Doctor Song explained what we're dealing with yet?" introduced himself saluting them then asked looking at the three Time Lords and Amy.

"What do you know of the Weeping Angels?" asked River Song. The Doctor, Master and Harry faced her quickly, immediately all tense. A transport ship arrived, and the soldiers had already started to set up camp.

"The Angel, as far as we know, is still trapped in the ship. Our mission is to get inside and neutralise it. We can't get through up top we'd be too close to the drives. According to this, (Showed a handheld device) behind the cliff face, there's a network of catacombs leading right up to the temple. We can blow through the base of the cliffs, get into the entrance chamber, then make our way up." Explained Bishop Octavian.

"Oh, good." Spoke the Doctor.

"Good, sir?" Asked Octavian.

"Catacombs, probably dark ones. Dark catacombs, great!" Spoke the Master in his I am really

annoyed now voice.

"Technically, I think it's called a maze of the dead." Answered River Song.

"You can stop any time you like River thank you." Spoke Harry joining the conversation for the first time, again not at all impressed finding out they had a live Angel he had seen the Doctors and the Masters memories of them.

"Father Octavian?" Asked a soldier coming up to him but keeping a bit of distance.

"Excuse me, sirs, madam." The Doctor just waved off Octavian as he left. He then used the screwdriver on some of the equipment set up on the table.

"You're letting people call you Sirs. You all said you hated that. So, whatever a Weeping Angel is. It's really bad yeah?" Asked Amy while she sat next to where the Doctor was working on the table the Master and Harry working with him on the equipment.

"A Weeping Angel, Amy, is the deadliest, most powerful, most malevolent life form evolution has ever produced in this universe, and one is trapped inside that wreckage, and we're supposed to climb in with three screwdrivers between the four of us, assuming we survive the radiation and the whole ship doesn't blow up in our faces, we'll have to do something clever, which none of us have actually thought of yet to kill off the Angel and neutralize it which even if we had thought of something none of us know how to kill the Angel. That's our day, that's what the four of us are facing. Any questions?" Explained then asked the Doctor actually looking at her so she could see just how serious he was. River Song was stood listening to the Doctor.

"Father Octavian!" Shouted River Song while leading the four with her to the transport ship which has been turned into base camp now.

"Why do they call them Father?" Asked Amy to the others as they were following River Song.

"He's their Bishop, they're his clerics. It's the fifty first Century, the Church has moved on its now all about security hence the soldiers." Explained the Master just before they got to the transport ship.

Once inside the transport, on all the screens there was a black and white footage of a Weeping Angel, its body at an angle, hands over its eyes. River Song was controlling the video with a remote. Father Octavian had re-joined them when River Song shouted for him.

"What do you think? It's from the security cameras in the Byzantium vault. I ripped it when I was on board. Sorry about the quality. It's only four seconds I had to be quick and that nearly got me shot. I've put it on a loop." Spoke River Song to them all explaining how she had got it.

"Yeah, it's an Angel. With its hands covering its face." Agreed the Doctor seeing the footage.

"You've encountered the Angels before?" Asked Octavian to the Doctor. Octavian had joined back up with them as they moved over to the transport ship and was stood just inside of it.

"Yes, on Earth, a long time ago. But those were scavengers, barely surviving this one is in full control of itself." Answered the Doctor to Octavian's question.

"It's just a statue!" Exclaimed Amy watching the looped recording with the rest of them.

"It's a statue when you see it." Answered Harry for the three Time Lords so the others would know.

"Where did it come from?" Asked the Master looking to River Song.

"Oh, pulled from the ruins of Razbahan, end of the last century. It's been in private hands ever since, dormant all that time." Explained River Song to the Time travellers.

"There's a difference between dormant and patient!" Explained the Master returning to watching the loop.

"What's that mean, it's a statue when you see it?" Asked Amy watching the loop with them it was just a loop of a statue in the shape of an Angel with wings and everything its hands covering its face.

"The Weeping Angels can only move if they're unseen, legend has it." River Song explained to Amy.

"No, it's not legend, it's a quantum lock. In the sight of any living creature, the Angels literally cease to exist. They're just stone. The ultimate defence mechanism." Explained the Doctor knowing how the Angels worked.

"What, being a stone?" Asked Amy not thinking that was such a good defence mechanism.

"Being stone...Until you turn your back then it's not and it displaces you in Time basically killing you no one ever able to follow you unless you also get grabbed by them hence them being bloody dangerous oh and unkillable." Explained the Master. They stayed in the transport ship until it turned dark. The Doctor led the others five out of the transport leaving Amy to watch the video.

"The hyperdrive would've split on impact. The whole ship will be flooded with radiation, cracked electrons, gravity storms, deadly to almost any living thing." Explained the Doctor further to Octavian and River Song.

"Deadly to an Angel?" Asked Octavian to the Time lords.

"Dinner to an Angel it's like a five course meal inside that ship. The longer we leave it, the stronger it will grow. Who built that temple? Are they still around?" Asked the Master to River Song after explaining just how bad the situation was to Octavian.

"The Aplans. The indigenous life-form. They died out four hundred years ago. Two hundred years later, the planet was terraformed. Currently there are six billion human colonists." Explained River Song for her and Octavian, as she read from her hand-held device obviously all the information known was on there.

"You lot, you're everywhere taking over older planets, show some respect once in a while! You all like rabbits the way you breed!" Spoke the Doctor with his arms folded not impressed at all.

"Sirs, if there is a clear and present danger to the local population…." Spoke Octavian trailing off at the end.

"Oh, there is. Bad as it gets. Bishop, lock and load all your guns were going to need them bring it all with you the more fire power the more we can shoot at the Angel!" Spoke the Master.

"Verger, how we doing with those explosives? Doctor Song, with me." Replied Octavian.

"Two minutes. Sweeties, I need you." Spoke River Song to the three Time Lords. Walking away making them follow her.

"I found this. Definitive work on the Angels. Well, the only one. Written by a madman, it's barely readable, but I've marked a few passages." River Song handed it over to the Doctor first. He speed-read through it and then looked up.

"Not bad, bit slow in the middle, didn't you hate his girlfriend? No, hang on, wait, wait, I missed something!" Spoke the Doctor before sniffing the book.

"Doctor Song? Did you have more than one clip of the Angel?" Shouted Amy to River Song after poking her head out of the transport door.

"No, just the four seconds." River Song shouted back. Puzzled Amy went back inside.

"This book is wrong! What's wrong with this book? It's wrong." Spoke the Doctor passing it over to the Master who also read it at speed then sniffed it before passing it to their son who did exactly the same thing but also waved his hand over it to send True Magic over the book to see if he could get any more information for them, only for nothing to come of the scan he pulled his sonic screwdriver out and sent a linguistic Science command through it to do a diagnostic on it then he checked his screwdriver for information to see if it matched up with both the diagnostics he had sent through the book only for all the readings he had taken to show him nothing. So, he put his screwdriver away.

"I can't read anything wrong with it and it comes out as fine and don't wind the Master up making comments about other people's love life Doctor!" Harry told the Doctor putting the book back on the table.

.

.

Inside the transport ship Amy was looking at the video again but now the Angel was facing forward, hands down at its side. Amy bent over and peered closely at the time code. It looped from twenty four seconds to twenty eight seconds yet the position of the Angel changed. Engrossed, Amy didn't notice the door close and lock behind her.

.

.

"Oh, it's so strange when you go all baby-face Doctor. How early is this for all of you?" asked River Song looking at what the Doctor was doing now he had taken the book back off the table and River Song held her journal up to them. Octavian had walked off to join his men.

"Very early." The Doctor told her.

"So you don't know who I am yet?" asked River Song to the two older Time lords.

"How do you know who we are? We don't always look the same. And yes, we know who you are to us well a rough idea anyway!" Answered the Doctor.

"Oh no Doctor we know a lot more about River Song than you realise that pass phrase means she is immediate family as I told you before!" Harry told the Doctor.

"He's right plus I've got pictures of all your faces. You never show up in the right order though. I need the spotter's guide for the three of you." Replied River Song

"Pictures? Why aren't there pictures?" Asked the Doctor to the other two Time Lords.

"What?" Asked River Song before either Time Lord could answer.

"There are no pictures in the book. Why warn you about the Angels but not show you what they look like in the book to give you an idea what to look out for?" Asked the Doctor after his brief explanation.

"Doctor there was a bit in there about pictures, it said that the picture can become the Angel." Explained Harry.

"Yes, but what does that mean? Pictures become Angels. I read the book as well!" Asked then explained the Doctor back looking to the two other Time Lords.

"That any picture of an Angel can become an Angel…. Where's Amy?" Explained the Master suddenly realising the significance and then asked about Amy. The four of them ran back to the transport door only to find it dead locked when there shouldn't have been one.

Things inside the transport weren't going well for Amy, the Angel moved more and more in the video as Amy took her eyes off it until it eventually actually came out of the television right into the transport Amy was shouting for the Doctor and Master and they were shouting for her not to blink or take her eyes off the Angel while they tried to get in through the door. The commentary wasn't funny, but it seemed to be the way Amy argued with all the advice the Doctor and Master gave her at one point after both had reiterated for her not to blink just how hard that actually was River was asking how the image could be coming out of the screen and the Doctor explained that the image was the Angel. The Doctor ran for the book and brought it back to just outside the transport door where he sat.

"Amy, not the eyes. Look anywhere but don't look at the eyes." The Doctor shouted out to her.

"Why?" Amy shouted back as she got caught looking into its eyes.

"What is it?" Asked River Song with a slight panicked voice to the Doctor.

"The eyes are not the windows of the soul they are the doors. Beware what may enter there." The Doctor read from the book.

"Doctor, what did you say?" asked Amy.

"Don't look at the eyes!" The Doctor shouted back through the door.

"No, about images, what did you say about images?" Shouted Amy back then asked.

"Whatever holds the image of an Angel, is an Angel." Shouted Harry having already read the book and had an eidetic memory like the other two Time Lords.

"Ok... Hold on…. One, two, three, four." Shouted Amy and then hit the pause button while there was static. The image of the Angel froze as she paused the monitor where the Angel had come out of. The door opened and all four of them went running into the transport the Master quicky smashed the screen of the computer monitor so no more images could appear while the Doctor checked over Amy.

"I froze it! There was a sort of blip on the tape, so I froze it on the blip. It wasn't the image of an Angel anymore. That was good, yeah? It was, wasn't it? That was pretty good." Spoke Amy to them all excited asking her questions.

"That was amazing!" Spoke River Song pulling her into a hug.

"Thanks. Yeah. I kind of creamed it, didn't I?" Spoke Amy pleased her plan had worked.

"So it was here? That was the Angel?" Asked River Song.

"That was a projection of the Angel. It's reaching out, getting a good look at us. It's no longer dormant and getting stronger which means it has become active." Spoke the Doctor in a deadly serious voice.

"Were all set up here father Octavian!" Called out one of the soldiers to Octavian. Then there was a huge explosion that was heard even in the transport ship.

"Everyone! We're through!" Shouted Octavian back to the four that Doctor Song had brought with her, the army she had promised him.

"Ok. Now it starts let's get ourselves ready we've got a bloody Angel to find." Spoke the Master, he led them all out of the transport ship Amy rubbed her left eye as it was itching her. The three Time Lords, Amy and River Song climbed down a rope ladder and joined Octavian at the bottom who had followed his own men down. The soldiers turned on their torches and looked around. Amy and River Song and the three Time lords joined them turning on their own torches they had been given them before the descended into the maze so that they would be able to see.

"Do we have a gravity globe?" Asked the Doctor

"Grav globe." Ordered Octavian to one of the soldiers who took out a sphere from his pack and handed it to Octavian.

"Where are we? What is this?" Asked Amy.

"It's an Aplan mortarium. Sometimes called a maze of the dead." Explained River Song.

"And what's that?" Asked Amy to them all.

"Well, if you happen to be a creature of living stone...The perfect hiding place!" The Doctor explained then kicked the gravity sphere like a football and it rose into the air, stopped and then light up the cave showing many stone statues.

"I guess this makes it a bit trickier." Spoke Octavian shocked.

"A bit, yeah!" Answered the Doctor.

"A stone Angel on the loose amongst stone statues. A lot harder than I'd like." Spoke the Master not impressed.

"A needle hidden in a haystack." Harry explained.

"A needle that looks like hay. A hay like needle. Of displacement in Time. A hay like needle of displacement in Time of a haystack of, er, statues. No, yours was fine Arbitrator!" Started off the Doctor before giving their son was right.

"Right. Check every single statue in this chamber. You know what you're looking for. Complete visual inspection. One question, how do we fight it?" Instructed Octavian to his men then asked the Time Lords.

"We find it and hope for a brilliant plan once we do only none of us have one at the moment we'll come up with something to kill it we always do don't worry Bishop have faith." The Doctor explained and the three with him including River Song moved off, as River Song went to go past Octavian he grabbed her.

"They don't know yet, do they? Who and what you are?" Octavian asked her.

"It's too early in their time stream." Spoke River Song in explanation.

"Well, make sure they don't work it out, or they are not going to help us." Spoke Octavian as if giving her an order.

"I won't let you down. Believe you me, I have no intention of going back to prison." Was her only response.

One of the soldiers reported back that there was only one exit and Octavian ordered all his men to start searching the statues, Amy still seemed to have something in her eye and when she rubbed it, it felt like sand only for her to see nothing when she pulled her hand away.

.

.

"Can you believe this? We're hunting statues." Spoke one of the soldiers as they checked the section they had been assigned.

"Better than chasing lava snakes." Spoke the second soldier all solders were searching in pairs.

"Actually, I would have preferred them to this! How many statues does this place have?" Countered the first soldier.

"I don't know but we have to check them all we follow orders rember we have faith!" Replied the first soldier to that.

.

.

The three Time Lords, Amy and River Song were examining the statues when they heard gun fire. They all ran back down to the main chamber. In the main chamber a young cleric had fired his weapon at one of the statues. The five stopped to look at it.

"Sorry. Sorry, I thought... I thought it looked at me." Spoke a young cleric.

"We know what the Angel looks like. Is that the Angel?" Asked Octavian pointing at the statue the soldier had fired at.

"No, sir." Replied the young soldier to his commander's question knowing he was wanting an answer.

"No, sir, it is not! According to the Time Lords, we are facing an enemy of unknowable power and infinite evil. So, it would be good, it would be very good, if we could all remain calm in the presence of decor." Spoke Octavian with a hint of anger in his voice.

"What's your name?" Asked Harry to the young soldier gently.

"Bob, sir." Bob answered him.

"Ah, that's a great name. I love Bob." Spoke the Doctor in a cheerful mood or so it seemed.

"It's a Sacred Name. We all have Sacred Names they're given to us in the service of the Church." Spoke up Octavian.

"More like scared Bob now hope you didn't have an accident!" Spoke the Doctor to Bob.

"Yes Sir but no accident just scared it's all the statues!" Spoke back Bob.

"Good, scared keeps you safe anyone who isn't scared down here with all these statues is a moron carry on Bob but don't waste your ammo!" Spoke the Doctor and moved off with the other to continue looking around.

"We'll be moving into the maze in less two minutes. Bob, you stay with Christian and Angelo. Guard the approach only fire if you see the actual Angel." Spoke Octavian walking off with the other five.

"Isn't there a chance this lot's just going to collapse? There's a whole ship up there." Asked Amy a bit worried.

"Incredible builders, the Aplans this place will stand for centuries still." Explained the Master to her.

"Had dinner with their chief architect. Two heads are better than one." Explained the Doctor.

"You mean you helped him?" Asked Amy shocked.

"No, I mean he had two heads. That book, the very end, what did it say? Read it to me." Demanded the Doctor of River Song.

"What if we had ideas that could think for themselves? What if one day our dreams no longer needed us? When these things occur and are held to be true, the time will be upon us. The time of Angels will come through." She read from the book looking at the three Time Lords. They nodded and carried on looking through the maze.

"Are we there yet? It's a hell of a climb." Spoke Amy.

"The maze is on six levels representing the ascent of the soul. Only two levels to go." Explained River Song.

"Lovely species, the Aplans. We should visit them some time." Spoke the Doctor.

"I thought they were all dead?" Asked Amy.

"So's Virginia Woolf. I was on her bowling team for a few years after she died. Very relaxed, sort of cheerful woman. That's having two heads. You're never short of a snog with an extra head." Explained the Doctor

"Not any more you're bloody not we have a son!" Spoke the Master throwing the Doctor a look.

"Sweeties, there's something. I don't know what it is." Spoke River Song to the Time Lords

"Yeah, something wrong. Don't know what it is yet either, working on it. Then they started having laws against self-marrying and what was that about? But that's the church for you. Erm, no offence, Bishop." Explained the Doctor then apologising as it came out as it had.

"Quite a lot taken, if that's all right, Doctor." Spoke Octavian they were now in a narrow passage lined with statues.

"Lowest point in the wreckage is only about fifty feet up from here. That way." Explained River Song to them pointing.

"Church had a point, if you think about it. The divorces must have been messy." Carried on Explaining the Doctor.

"Oh shit were in trouble!" Harry spoke up in understanding as he stopped to look at all the statues the others stopping with him.

"What's wrong?" Asked a confused Amy.

"Oh…. How could we not notice that?" Asked River Song shocked herself.

"Low level perception filter, or maybe we're going blind in our old age but yeah the Arbitrator is right again we are in trouble." Spoke the Doctor.

"What's wrong, sir?" Asked Octavian.

"Nobody move. Everyone stay exactly where they are. Bishop, we're truly sorry. We've made a mistake and we are all in great danger more danger than any one of us thought." Shouted the Master to the soldiers then explained what was wrong.

"What great danger?" Asked Octavian.

"The Aplans!" Explained Harry.

"The Aplans?" Asked Octavian.

"They've got two heads." Explained River Song

"Yes, I get that. So?" spoke Octavian.

"So why don't the statues? Everyone, over there. Just move, don't ask questions, don't speak just get over there now move all of you." Asked then demanded the Master to all the soldiers everyone moved to a spot where there we're no statues, following the Master who grabbed his son's hand, so he knew where he was at all times.

"Ok. I want you all to switch off your torches." Spoke he Doctor.

"Sir?" Asked Octavian looking confused.

"Just do it all of you we need to confirm if we are right which of course we bloody well are." Demanded the Master. Both he and Harry turned off their own torches with the other soldiers.

"Ok. I'm going to turn off this one too, just for a second." The Doctor told them holding his own light.

"Are you sure about this?" Asked River Song even though she had turned her light off with the others.

Yes, well sort of. Well actually No but as the Master said we need to confirm we are definatly right and unfortunately we will be let's see what happens only a second just stay around us." Spoke the Doctor and did just as he said he would and turned his own lights off. Only for a second and when he turned it back on all the statues were looking straight at them.

"Run for the ship!" Shouted the Master and all of them ran ahead trying to get as close to the ship as possible while all of the Doctor's group were keeping their eyes on the statues.

.

.

The three soldiers including Bob who had been sent to the other two were not having nearly as good luck as the others even if they were surrounded by statues the actual Angel appeared in front of them and snapped all their necks before they could do anything.

.

.

"There was only one Angel on the ship. Just the one, I swear it was a quick look but I fully inspected the vault where he kept his most precious assets as I said it nearly got me shot." River Song told them all as they were running towards the ship they needed to get to.

"Could they have been here already?" Asked Harry running alongside the Master still holding his hand.

"The Aplans, how did they die out?" Asked the Master looking at the Doctor and River Song.

"Nobody knows." Explained River Song

"We know!" Exclaimed Harry.

"They don't look like Angels." Octavian spoke observing the new Angels that were slowly moving unless he looked at them.

"And they're not fast. You said they were fast. They should have had us by now." Explained River Song.

"They're dying. Losing their form. They must have been down here for centuries, starving. And their image is their power. Power. Power!" spoke the Doctor in explanation and understanding.

"Doctor?" Asked Amy.

"Don't you see? All that radiation spilling out, the drive burn. The crash wasn't an accident it was a rescue mission, for the Angels. We're in the middle of an army and it's waking up getting ready to attack us." Explained the Doctor to the others.

"We need to get out of here fast." Ordered River Song.

"Bob, Angelo, Christian, come in, please. Any of you, come in its Bishop Octavian!" Spoke Octavian into his radio.

"It's Bob, sir. Sorry, sir." Came back the response through the radio.

"Bob, are Angelo and Christian with you? All the statues are active. I repeat, all the dead Alpans are active we need you to get back to us!" Octavian spoke into the radio.

"I know, sir. Angelo and Christian are dead, sir. One of the Angels killed them, sir." Bob told them all.

"Bob, Sacred Bob, it's me, the Doctor. Where are you now?" Demanded the Doctor after grabbing the radio off Octavian.

"I'm on my way up to you, sir, I'm homing in on your signal." Bob told them.

"Well done, Bob. Your friends, Bob, what did the Angel do to them?" Asked the Doctor next.

"Snapped their necks, sir." Bob answered him.

"That's odd. That's not how the Angels kill you, they displace you in Time as we said killing you that way not snapping you by the neck. Unless they needed the bodies for something." Explained the Master.

"Bob, did you check their data packs for vital signs? We may be able to initiate a rescue plan." Spoke Octavian after snatching the radio back off the Doctor.

"Don't be an idiot! The Angels won't leave pray alive and everything is pray to them they are the ultimate hunters! Bob, keep running, but tell me, how did you escape?" Said the Doctor taking the radio off Octavian.

"I didn't escape, sir. The Angel killed me, too." They looked at each other wondering what Bob meant.

"What do you mean the Angel killed you too?" Asked the Doctor.

"Snapped my neck, sir. Wasn't as painless as I expected but it was pretty quick, so that was something." Bob told them.

"If you're dead, how can I be talking to you?" Asked the Doctor confused.

"You're not talking to me, sir. The Angel has no voice. It stripped my cerebral cortex from my body and re-animated a version of my consciousness to communicate with you. Sorry about the confusion." Bob told them.

"So, when you say you're on your way up to us Bob what do you mean?" Asked River Song leaning over so she could be heard through the radio.

"It's the Angel that's coming, Ma'am." Bob confirmed for River Song.

"No way out." Spoke the Doctor looking at the Master, they knew the Arbitrator could take them to the TARDIS but not all of them especially in the time they had.

"Then we get out through the wreckage. Go!" Ordered the Master.

"Go, go, go. All of you run!" Spoke the Doctor to everyone there.

"Doctor?" Asked River Song.

"Yes, I'm coming, just go, go, go!" Exclaimed the Doctor. The Mater took hold of Harrys hand again, so he didn't lose him, River Song and Amy left with the clerics and them running up through the maze. Only the Doctor and Octavian remained.

"Called you an idiot. I'm sorry Bishop, but there's no way we could have rescued your men the Angels would have got us before we could do anything." Explained the Doctor apologising to Octavian.

"I know that sir. And when you and your family have all flown away in your little blue box, I'll explain that to their own families that they died in the service of God." Spoke Octavian in repressed anger and walked off.

"Angel Bob, which Angel am I talking to? The one from the ship or an Alpan Angel?" Asked the Doctor.

"The one from the ship sir. The other Angels are still restoring." Bob confirmed for him.

"Ah, so the Angel is not in the wreckage. Thank you." Spoke the Doctor and ran to catch up with the others after grabbing Octavian by the arm to drag him along, they ran along the passage and saw Amy.

"Don't wait for me, go, run." Spoke the Doctor

"I can't! No, really, I can't." Spoke Amy in fear to the Doctor. The Master, Harry and River Song turned back around and surrounded her.

"Why not?" Asked River Song not seeing in the timeline like the others.

"Look at it. Look at my hand. It's stone!" Amy explained her hand griped the rail and looked like stone to her.

It got into an argument the arm actually wasn't made of stone she had looked into the eyes of the Angel she admitted she couldn't help it. The Master explained that it was all in her head and coached her through releasing her hand she kept insisting she couldn't and they should just leave her but none of them would, even the Master couldn't get through to her and he knew more about mental problems because of the drums he once had in his head mind you all three had things still in their heads including Harry but they had never brought it up with him, the Master had told the Doctor to let it go when they found out.

"Those people up there will die without you. If you stay here with me, you'll have as good as killed them." Spoke Amy trying to get them to leave.

"Amy Pond, you are magnificent and wonderful and brilliant. I'm sorry about this." Spoke the Doctor gently to Amy.

"It's Ok. I understand. You've got to leave me." Replied Amy in a subdued voice.

"Oh, no, we're not leaving you, never. As I said I'm sorry about this." The Doctor explained then he bit her hand and she screamed, moving it.

"See, not stone. Now run!" Spoke the Doctor to them all but mainly Amy.

"You bit me!" Amy shouted at him.

"Yes and you're alive so run." Spoke the Doctor with satisfaction.

"I've got a mark where you bit me! Look at my hand!" Amy told him showing her the bite mark in her hand.

"Yeah, and you're alive, did I mention so keep running!" Explained then asked the Doctor while speeding up more to reach the others.

"Blimey, your teeth did you have to hurt me! Have you got space teeth in that mouth of yours? Do the others leave teeth marks like this do you bite people instead pinching them or something?" Asked Amy as she inspected it more.

"Alive. All I'm saying so keep running will you." Spoke the Doctor with conviction. They caught up with the other soldiers and they could see their light flickering the Angels were closing in on them one of the soldiers sent another gravity globe up into the air to give them more light.

"There's something the Angels are very keen you should all know before the end." Spoke Bob through the radio.

"Which is?" Asked the Doctor who still had the radio.

"I died in fear. I died afraid, in pain and alone. You made me trust you, and when it mattered, you let me down." Bob told the Doctor.

"What are they doing?" Amy asked the other two Time Lords, but it was River Song who

answered.

"They're trying to make him angry." Was River Songs response.

"I'm sorry, sir. The Angels were very keen for you to know that I died afraid because of you." Bob told the Doctor.

"Well then, the Angels have made their second mistake, because I'm not going to let that pass. I'm sorry you're dead, Bob, but I swear to whatever is left of you, they will be sorrier." The Doctor told him the oncoming storm had started.

"But you're trapped, sir, and about to die all the Angels are becoming active and we will take you all." Bob informed him.

"Yeah, we are all trapped. Speaking of traps, this trap has got a great big mistake in it. A great big, whopping mistake!" The Doctor told him through the radio nearly clenching his teeth in anger.

"What mistake, sir?" Asked Bob.

"Do you both trust the three of us?" Asked the Doctor to Amy and River Song.

"Yeah." Spoke Amy.

"Always!" Spoke River Song at the same time.

"You lot, trust me?" Asked the Doctor to the soldiers.

"We have faith, sir." Replied Octavian for himself and his men.

"Then give me your side arm." Demanded the Doctor holding his free hand out for it and Octavian passed it over to him.

"I'm about to do something incredibly stupid and dangerous and confusing to you all. When I do... (he jumped in place) jump." The Doctor told all of those around him. The Master and Harry knew what he was going to do.

"Jump where?" Asked Octavian for his soldiers and himself.

"Just jump, high as you can. Come on, leap of faith, Bishop. On my signal you all jump. I said it would be confusing, but you have faith so jump." The Doctor told him.

"What signal?" asked Octavian.

"You won't miss it!" Spoke the Doctor while aiming the gun at the roof.

"Sorry, can I ask again? You mentioned a mistake?" Bob asked still over the radio as the Angel made its way up towards them slowly.

"Oh, big mistake. Huge. There's one thing you never put in a trap, if you're smart, if you value your continued existence, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow! There is one thing you never! Ever! Put in a trap!" Explained the Doctor with some heat the oncoming storm now out in force.

"And what would that be, sir?" Bob asked confused.

"Our son!" shouted the Doctor down the radio and fired at the gravity globe and it exploded. sending all of them flying up to the spacecraft and landing on its upside down the gravity inverted by the exploding gravity globe.

"The power was still on which meant there was artificial gravity. One good jump, and up we fell. shot out the gravity globe to give us an updraft, and here we are, see I said it would be confusing!" spoke the Doctor in satisfaction.

"Sir's The statues, they look more like the original Angel." One of the soldiers informed them all.

"They're feeding on the radiation from the wreckage, draining all the power from the ship, restoring themselves. Within an hour or less, they'll be an army! They're taking out the lights. Look at them, look at the Angels. Into the ship, now, quickly all of you don't ask questions just get in there!" Explained the Master who had been pointing his screwdriver around hit a button on it and a hole opened in the ship. Allowing the Doctor to go first followed by Harry the Master with the others taking up the rear. They ended up in a corridor.

"What's through there?" Asked Harry pointing to a door that had sealed shut in front of where they wanted to go.

"Secondary flight deck." Explained River Song.

"Okay. We've basically run up the inside of a chimney, yeah? So, what if the gravity fails?" Asked Amy looking worried.

"I've thought about that." Explained the Doctor

"And?" Asked all the soldiers, Amy and River Song.

"And we'll all plunge to our deaths being splattered on the floor. See. I've thought about it not very comforting but you did ask. The security protocols are still live. There's no way to override them, it's impossible." Spoke the Doctor while fiddling with the control circuit for the door seals and releases.

"How impossible?" Asked River Song

"Two minutes at least." Spoke the Master The hum of the engines powered down and their way in was slowly reopening and they could see the cavern outside and an Angel was looking in, the soldiers all had their eyes on it, but their torches were flickering again.

"The hull is breached and the power's failing!" Spoke Octavian then they watched as the lights flickered, first one Angel appeared followed by four more were in the corridor with them.

"Don't look at their eyes. Anywhere else. Not the eyes. I've isolated the lighting grid. They can't drain the power now. Which is good in many, many ways we can see them for now, good isn't it you'll be happy to know were safe so far." Ordered then explained the Doctor.

"So far?" Asked Amy.

"Well, there's only one way to open the door to the secondary flight deck. I'll need to route all the power in this section through the door control." Explained the Doctor to them all.

"Good, fine, do it." Spoke up Octavian.

"Including the lights. All of them. I'll need to turn out the lights in this corridor plunging us into darkness." Explained the Doctor to the soldiers, Amy and River Song.

"How long for?" Asked Octavian him and his men were still watching the angles but not at the angle's eyes, they were quantum locked now with soldiers watching them.

"Fraction of a second, maybe longer. Maybe quite a bit longer." Explained the Doctor to them.

"Maybe?" Asked Octavian

"I'm guessing. We're being attacked by statues in a crashed ship, there isn't a manual for this I told you we would come up with a brilliant plant that none of us had with a way to kill them

and to have faith!" Explained the Doctor to the others bar his partner and son.

"Doctor, we lost the torches. We'll be in total darkness." Spoke up Amy.

"I know I said that Amy. No other way Bishop!" The Doctor told fist Amy then him.

"Doctor Song," spoke up Octavian and moved her off from the others lowering his voice.

"I've lost good Clerics today. You trust these men?" He spoke in a quiet voice.

"I absolutely trust them." Spoke River Song with conviction but just as quietly back to him.

"I'm taking your word, because you're the only one who can manage these guys. But that only works so long as they don't know who you are. You cost me any more men, and I might just tell them. Understood?" Octavian told her.

"Understood." River Song replied to him.

"OK. Doctor, we've got your back." Spoke up Octavian

"Wait!" Shouted Harry.

"What Arbitrator?" Asked the Doctor

"Better plan I will light the way with my Magic the clerics will keep watch it will hinder them while the others get the door open!" Answered Harry lifting his hands to the roof ready to send true Magic through them, it would light the passageway better than the onboard lighting.

"Perfect!" Spoke the Master.

"We will back you up Arbitrator, all clerics focus on all the Angels but don't look into their eyes as we were told!" Spoke Octavian first to Harry then to him clerics.

"Bless you. Bishop." Answered the Doctor to Octavian before the Master could make the remark he was going to in the timeline. Octavian got his men lined up in rows and Harry held up his hands and used True Magic the whole of the passageway was lit by the light both his hands threw off. The Doctor rerouted all the power with the Master helping him trying to get though faster. River Song and Amy were spinning the now released wheel on the exit door Harry had his hands lighting the corridor and the soldiers were looking at the Angels who couldn't move. Once it was open River Song was through then the Master went dragging Harry behind him by his waist so his hands could still give off the light and the soldiers had already gone through, the Doctor went last after Octavian. Both older Time Lords slammed the door shut. They were in another corridor now, but the lighting was all on.

They were soon in the flight deck and the soldiers dead locked the doors with magnetic seals it didn't stop the wheels moving but it did slow them down. When the Doctor counted five Angels outside Amy corrected him saying nine, she had already corrected him once with ten the three Time Lords looked at her funny but didn't say anything.

"We need another way out of here." Explained River Song.

"There isn't one." Explained Octavian annoyed.

"Yeah, there is, course there is. This is a galaxy class ship, goes for years between planet falls. So, what do they need?" Explained then asked the Master.

"What? What do they need?" Asked a confused Amy the others seemed to have cottoned on.

"Can we get in there?" Asked Octavian.

"Well, it's a sealed unit, but they must have installed it somehow. This whole wall should slide up. There are the clamps. I'll Release the clamps and we're through!" Explained the Master using his screwdriver to do as he said and the whole wall started to come up.

"What's through there? What do they need?" asked Amy.

"They need to breathe." Explained Harry and the wall slowly rose. The Doctor smiled and Amy was awestruck.

"But that's... That's a." The whole wall opened fully and there was lush vegetation and trees. All throughout.

"Yeah, it's a forest, it's an oxygen factory." Explained the Master.

"And, if we're lucky, an escape route." Explained Octavian cottoning on.

"Eight" spoke Amy this time.

"What did you say?" asked River Song turning to look at Amy.

"Nothing." Amy replied.

"Is there another exit? Scan the architecture, we don't have time to get lost in there and it will be massive." Asked then explained River Song.

"On it! Stay where you are until I've checked the Rad levels." Explained Octavian doing as he said he would going into the forest on his own.

"But trees! On a spaceship?" Questioned Amy

"More than trees, way better than trees. You're going to love this. Treeborgs." Explained Harry while moving to the nearest tree opening a section on the peat moss at the bottom of it to reveal circuity.

"Trees plus technology. Branches become cables, become sensors on the hull. A forest sucking in starlight, breathing out air. It even rains. There's a whole mini climate in here there are even birds and open planes. It is an eco-pod running through the heart of the ship. A forest in a bottle, on a spaceship, in a maze. Have I impressed you yet, Amy Pond? I told you when we met, we were good! Only problem is it's on the night cycle!" Spoke Harry with his trademark grin. They quickly moved back into the control room waiting for Octavian to return.

Suddenly the radio in the Doctors hand came to life and dead Bob was talking.

"The Angels are wondering what you hope to achieve stuck in the control deck?" Bob asked through the radio, that the Doctor was still holding on to.

"Achieve? We're not achieving anything. We're just hanging out chatting. It's nice in here, consoles, comfy chairs, a forest. How's things with you?" Asked the Doctor sat in a chair while the forest was checked out by the Bishop.

"The Angels are feasting, sir. Soon we will be able to absorb enough power to consume this vessel, this world, and all the stars and worlds beyond." Explained Bob to them.

"Well, we've got comfy chairs and a forest, did I mention?" Asked the Doctor to Bob. Amy laughed at that.

"Six." Amy spoke out loud again,

"Okay, well, enough chat Angel Bob. Here's what I want to know, what have you done to our Amy?" Demanded the Doctor.

"There is something in her eye sir." Bob explained.

"What's in her eye?" Asked the Doctor.

"We are." Bob told them.

"What's he talking about? Doctor, I'm five…. I mean, five. Fine! I'm fine." Amy told them all.

"You're counting." Explained River Song to Amy.

"Counting?" Asked Amy confused.

"You're counting down you started at ten now your down to five. You have been for a couple of minutes." Explained the Master to Amy.

"We shall take her. We shall take all of you. We shall have dominion over all Time and space." Explained Bob through the Radio but all could hear him.

"Get a life, Bob. Oops, sorry bit too late for that, gallows humour that is snaps at your neck every time. There's power on this ship, but nowhere near enough to achieve that." The Doctor told him.

"With respect, sir, there is more power on this ship than you yet understand." Answered Bob. Suddenly there was a loud, horrible screeching.

"Dear Deities, what is that noise?" Asked River Song.

"It's hard to put in your terms, Doctor Song, but as best I understand it, the Angels are laughing. Because you haven't noticed yet. The Doctor in the TARDIS hasn't noticed." Bob told her.

"Doctor?" Asked Octavian, who had returned from checking out the forest, when the Doctor stood up from the chair, he was sat on looking around the room.

"No, wait, there's something...we have all" Slowly Explained the Doctor as he turned and saw a glowing crack high in the wall.

"Missed." The Doctor ran to the wall with the other two Time Lords, where a crack like in Amy's bedroom was.

"That's... That's like the crack from my bedroom wall from when I was a little girl that you sealed." Exclaimed a shocked Amy recognising it.

"Yes." All three Time Lords agreed while each pointing their screwdrivers at the crack.

"Okay well let's all move out!" Ordered Octavian to them all.

"You go on a head Bishop with your team we three will follow in a few seconds we just want to get a better look at this crack." The Doctor told them all.

"Are you sure?" Asked River Song.

"Yes! Bishop, keep them all together, we'll follow." Spoke the Doctor for all three. Octavian grabbed River Song who grabbed Amy and made for the forest with his soldiers.

The three Time Lords were working on the crack when the Angels broke through the doors, the Doctor took off first with Harry behind him and the Master covering their retreat only his coat got grabbed by one of the Angels stopping him in his tracks. Slowly he turned and saw the Angels all throwing their hands up at the crack as if praying to the crack releasing him.

"Oy you two, check this out!" The Master said loudly so the other two would stop and turn around to see what was going on.

"Good, and not so good. Oh, this isn't even a little bit good. I mean, is that it? Is that the power that brought you here? That's pure Time energy, you can't feed on that. That's the power, that's the fire at the end of the universe! Let's go you two we have a reading of it!" Spoke the Doctor and all three ran in to the forest only to find Amy curled up in a foetal position.

"Three." Spoke Amy as they arrived.

"Amy!" All three Time Lords said at the same time pulling their screwdrivers out Harry ran a hand over her using true Magic to get an idea of what was wrong with her.

"Doctor, Master, Arbitrator what's happening to me? One of you explain!" Begged Amy really scared.

"Inside your head, in the vision centres of your brain, there's an Angel. It's like there's a screen, a virtual screen inside your mind, and the Angel is climbing out of it, and it's coming to shut you off to turn your lights out and take over your body." Explained the Doctor.

"Then what do I do? it's going to kill me and I'm going to die." Asked and explained Amy afraid.

"If it was a real screen, what would we do, we'd pull the plug or smash the screen like the Master did. but we can't just knock her out, the Angel would take over as soon as we did! We've got to shut down the vision centres of her brain. We've got to pull the plug, starve the Angel. How would you starve your lungs?... Amy, close your eyes!" Explained then demanded the Doctor at the end addressing first the Master and the Arbitrator then Amy.

"No, no, I don't want two! I mean I won't close my eyes." Amy told them.

"Good, because that's not you Amy, that's the Angel inside you, it's afraid of you closing your eyes on it! Do it! Close your eyes it will starve the Angel, you're using up your clock shut your eyes Amy Now!" Explained then ordered the Master, Amy hesitated but closed her eyes when the Master nodded his head. The scanner River Song had been using to check Amy's vitals informing River Song how long Amy had left to live before the Angel got her, bleeped and the readings returned to green.

"She's normalising. You did it! You two did it she's safe!" Spoke River Song with relief to the Master and the Doctor.

"Sir? We've got five incomings two in front of me and three behind us being looked at by others." Spoke one of the soldiers.

"She is still weak, it's too dangerous to move her yet." Spoke River Song referring to Amy.

"So, can I open my eyes now?" Asked Amy sitting up.

"Amy, listen to me. If you open your eyes now for more than a second, you will die. The Angel is still inside you. We haven't stopped it; we've just paused it. You've used up your countdown near enough you've got a second left before it takes you. You cannot open your eyes…. You must not open them it will take you over if you do! Do you understand me!" Explained then ordered the Master taking her hand and gently squeezing it.

"We need a plan!" Explained Octavian looking at the adult Time Lords and River Song, but it was Harry that answered.

"We have one. The four of us including River Song will travel to the main flight deck to sort out taking out the Angels, you and your men Bishop Octavian will protect Amy Pond with all your faith and training. We need River Song So get formed up around Amy in the middle and shoot any Angels that come to close and make sure someone's always watching the different Angels at all times but do not look them in the eyes. Once we shut the Angles down, we can return for all five of you and your clerics as well as Amy pond . Don't waste your ammunition short burst of fire nothing prolonged and aim for their faces." Harry explained what they were going to do.

"I'm coming with you! Where Doctor song goes, I go!" Replied the Bishop.

"Why?" Demanded the Master.

"Were engaged in a manner of speaking I do not want her out of my sight the rest of my men will take care of looking after Amy Pond." Bishop Octavian Explained.

"Engaged? I never pegged you for married River and you didn't invite your family to the engagement party? Fine Bishop, sort your men out and let's go before the Angles get us all!" Harry told him. They waited until Octavian had given his orders and after reassuring Amy she would be safe, that they would be back for her and she knew that they always would, they moved out into the forest following the directions off the Doctor while he was looking over his reading on his Screwdriver.

"What's that?" Asked River Song to the Doctor.

"Readings from a crack in a wall in the control centre." Answered the Doctor distracted with what he was reading.

"How can a crack in the wall be the end of the universe?" Asked River Song next.

"Here's what I think. One day there'll be a very big bang, so big every moment in history, the past and future will crack destroying the universe." Answered the Doctor.

"Is that possible? How?" River Song asked confused.

"How can you be engaged in a manner of speaking?" Asked the Doctor instead of answering her.

"Well... Sucker for a man in uniform." Explained River Song.

"Doctor Song is in my personal custody. I released her from the Stormcage Containment Facility four days ago and I am legally responsible for her until she has accomplished her mission and has earned her pardon. Just so we all understand each other." Octavian told them all.

"So you're not engaged that makes more sense you could have just told us instead of making us all think we didn't get an invite to the party!" Harry exclaimed carrying on his way with the others.

"You were in Stormcage?" The Doctor asked her looking at her in shock as his Screwdriver finished going over what he wanted to know and bleeped three times.

"What? What is that?" Asked River Song seeing it do the same on the Arbitrators and Masters screwdriver.

"The date! The date of the explosion where the crack begins." Answered the Doctor.

"And for those of us who can't read the base code of the universe someone?" Asked River Song only to see the date appear on the bottom reading the twenty sixth of June two thousand and ten.

"Amy's time when we finally met her to travel with us! Sirius and Jacks as well and where I spend some of my own time, you aren't the only one who has to keep a diary so does my Godfather!" Explained Harry looking at his own results.

.

.

Back with Amy she was demanding to know what was going on when she heard groaning around her only to find out the Angels were ripping the treeborgs out of the ground making them go dark trying to make the whole area go pitch black. The soldiers ended up firing on them as they tried to advance. Suddenly the Angels stopped and seemed to retreat disappearing when a bright light shone at them, Amy demanded to know what was going on and the soldier now in charge sent three of his men off to investigate. She asked him to describe it which he did and then said she needed to look. The soldier was against it, but she pointed out she still had at least one second on the clock. After looking at it she collapsed and it was only the soldier slamming his hand over her eyes demanding she shut them that she relaxed. She informed him it was the same crack in the wall of her house and the one that was in the secondary flight deck. she asked how could it be following her? The soldier offered to get a better look but when Amy suggested he wait for the other three to come back to help he had no recollection of who she was talking about they got into a discussion about who he had sent before as he had no recollection of who he had sent. She argued that there were more soldiers with them that the only solder left with her was him he had sent the other three already to investigate the crack he tried to explain that there were no others with him no matter what Amy said he wouldn't listen to her and went to check it for himself.

"It doesn't open it from here, but it's the Primary Flight Deck. This has got to be a service hatch or something." Spoke up Octavian as they came to the end of the forest.

"Hurry up and open it, time's running out." Shouted River Song to them all.

"What? What did you say? Time's running out, is that what you said?" Asked the Doctor.

"Yeah. I just meant" Tried to explain River Song.

"I know what you meant. hush! But what if it could?" Explained then asked the Doctor.

"What if what could?" asked River Song confused now.

"Time. What if time could run out? Time can shift how can a duck pond be a duck pond without any ducks Amy she didn't recognise the daleks, yet it was in her timeframe." Explained the Doctor looking at the Master.

"Got it!" Shouted Octavian in relief as he manged to find a way into the main control deck.

"Doctor Song, get through, now. Doctor, Master, Arbitrator you get through also." Spoke Octavian while getting River Song into the main flight deck.

"Time can be unwritten." Spoke the Doctor out loud while still looking at the Master doing calculations in his head. The Master gave the Doctor an intense look then pulled Harry into the main flight deck as the Doctor and Octavian got in to an argument as to whether there was something worse here than the Angels he said he had to disagree and as the Doctor turned around he understood why, the Bishop was in a tight hold with an arm of an Angel around his neck with the Angel behind him. He begged the Doctor to go and leave him.

"Sir, there's nothing you can do." Octavian told the Doctor.

"You're dead if I leave you." Explained the Doctor.

"Yes, yes, I'm dead." He told the Doctor.

"I'm not going!" The Doctor told Octavian keeping his eyes on the Angel.

"Listen to me, it's important. You can't trust her." Octavian told the Doctor.

"Trust who?" The Doctor asked Octavian.

"River Song. You think you know her, but you don't. You don't understand who or what she is." Octavian told the Doctor.

"Then tell me!" Demanded the Doctor this was a member of their own family.

"I've told you more than I should. Now please, you have to go. It's your duty to your family and friend think of your son." Octavian eventually answered the Doctor.

"Just tell me why she was in Stormcage?" Asked the Doctor, a member of their family was in prison? The Doctor found this strange.

"She killed a man. A good man. A hero to many." Octavian eventually told the Doctor.

"Who?" Asked the Doctor in shock.

"You don't want to know, sir. You really don't." Octavian told the Doctor.

"Who did she kill?" Demanded the Doctor off Octavian.

"You need to go sir sorry, the Angels are coming. You have to leave me." Octavian told the Doctor.

"You'll die." The Doctor told him again.

"I will die in the knowledge that my courage did not desert me at the end. For that, I thank God and bless the path that takes you to safety." Explained Octavian.

"I wish I'd known you better." The Doctor told him.

"I think, sir, you know me at my best." Octavian corrected him.

"Ready?" Asked the Doctor and Octavian closed his eyes content. The Doctor ran for the hatch and closed it behind him.

On the flight deck River Song and Harry were messing with wires trying to get the teleport to work. The Doctor found out Amy was all alone now and that the other soldiers had all disappeared. The Doctor eventually used his screwdriver to home in on her communicator and informed Amy to follow the noise of his screwdriver and that the communicator would bleep if she was near any Angels. The Doctor explained to Amy that she needed to walk as though she could still see, it was going well she had managed to get past two Angels when suddenly she tripped over a root and sent the communicator flying. She felt about in the dirt but couldn't find it.

"Doctor, Master I can't find the communicator! I dropped it! I can't find it. Doctor, Master!" She shouted while she kept feeling in the dirt.

"Doctor! Master! Arbitrator!" Amy shouted and stood back up she turned only to come face to face with an Angel as it reached for her. Amy was engulfed in a bright light and appeared on the flight deck and was supported by River Song.

"Don't open your eyes. You're on the Flight Deck, the Doctor, Master and Arbitrator are here. we teleported you…. See? Told you we could get it working." River Song told the Doctor.

"River Song I could hug you and thank you Arbitrator." Spoke the Doctor in relief while smiling and nodding to his and the Masters son.

"Ah well, maybe when you're older." Replied River Song Suddenly alarms started blaring and the Time Lords were asked what was going on.

"The Angels are draining the last of the ship's power, which means... The shield's going to release now!" Spoke the Master for the shield to the forest open and the five of them were confronted by a large number of Angels. The Doctor stepped forward.

"Angel Bob, I presume?" Asked the Doctor.

"The Time Field is coming. It will destroy our universe." Spoke Angel Bob.

"Yeah, and look at you, all running away. What can I do for you?" Asked the Doctor.

"There is a rupture in Time. The Angels calculate that if you or the Master throw yourself into it, it will close, and the others will be saved." Angel Bob Told them.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. One of us could do that, either of us could you're right. But why?" Asked the Doctor to the Angel.

"Everyone other than you or the Master would all be saved, your son would be safe." He was informed as though this was obvious.

"Well, there is that!" The Doctor exclaimed running through the timeline neither the Master nor he were going through that crack they were not leaving their son.

"I've travelled in Time. I'm a complicated space, Time event, too. Throw me in." Spoke River Song not wanting to lose the Doctor or the Master.

"Oh, be serious! Compared to me the Master or even the Arbitrator these Angels are more complicated than you and it would take every one of them to amount to the Master or me, so get a grip." The Doctor told River Song.

"I can't let either of you do this." River Song told him.

"No, seriously, get a grip River." The Doctor told her he had the timeline now.

"You're not going to die here! None of you are I won't let it happen!" Exclaimed River Song.

"No, I mean it. River, Amy, get a grip." The Doctor didn't need to tell the other two they could see what he intended to do in the timeline and so were already holding on to stability bars.

"Oh, you genius!" Exclaimed River Song again also catching on, she walked over to Amy.

"Sir, the Angels need either the Master of you to sacrifice yourselves now." Bob the Angel informed the Doctor.

"Thing is, Bob, the Angels are draining all the power from this ship, every last bit of it and you know what? I think they've forgotten where they're standing. I think they've forgotten the gravity of the situation. Or to put it another way, Angels!" The Doctor told them.

"You hold on tight and don't you let go for anything." Spoke River Song gently and quietly to Amy placing Amy's hands on a handle attached to the panel before gripping one herself.

"Time to take your own trip through Time." Spoke the Doctor as the gravity field failed due to the loss of power, the Doctor casually turned to grip a handle himself. The deck turned to its side and the five of them hung on for dear life as the Angels were sucked through the forest into the secondary flight deck into the crack. There was a burst of light and the crack in the secondary flight deck and the crack closed.

"Ah, Bruised everywhere." Spoke Amy, they were around a rock that Amy was sat on with the TARDIS just a short distance away.

"Me too." Spoke Harry and the Master at the same time.

"You didn't have to climb out with your eyes shut." She told them.

"Neither did you, I kept saying. The Angels all fell into the Time field. The Angel in your memory never existed. It can't harm you now, it's no longer there when will you listen to us." Explained the Master to Amy.

"Then why do I remember it at all? Those guys on the ship didn't remember each other." Asked Amy.

"You're a time traveller now, Amy. Changes the way you see the universe forever. Good, isn't it?" Spoke the Master with a smirk.

"And the crack. Is that gone too?" Asked Amy next.

"Yeah, for now. But the explosion that caused it is still happening... Somewhere out there, somewhere in Time there is going to be an explosion destroying everything." Spoke the Doctor before moving off to River Song. There were three soldiers behind her that had stayed in the base camp they had placed River Song in handcuffs.

"You three, me handcuffs... Must it always end this way?" Asked River Song showing him she was lifting her arms and she was in handcuffs.

"What now?" asked the Doctor.

"The Prison ship's in orbit. They'll beam me up any second. I might have done enough to earn a pardon this time. We'll see." River Song explained to the Doctor.

"Octavian said you killed a man!" The Doctor told River Song.

"Yes, I did." River Song admitted upset.

"A good man." The Doctor carried on.

"A very good man. One of the best men I've ever known." River Song told him.

"Who?" Asked the Doctor to River Song.

"It's a long story. It can't be told it has to be lived. No sneak previews. Well, except for this one. You'll see me again quite soon, when the Pandorica opens." Replied River Song instead of answering.

"The Pandorica, ha! That's a fairy tale!" Spoke the Doctor while looking over to the Master and rolling his eyes.

"Oh, Doctor, aren't we all? I'll see you there. All four of you." River Song informed them.

"We look forward to it." Replied Harry.

"I remember it well." Spoke River Song smiling.

The Doctor chuckled and walked away grabbing Harrys hand as the Master took the other one. Amy made her way over to them all.

"Bye. River." Amy shouted.

"See you, Amy…. Oh! I think that's my ride, have fun." Exclaimed River Song as the handcuffs bleeped, and River Song was teleported away the three soldiers with her were gone also either to their own ship or they had followed River Song to the prison ship. The three Time Lords were looking out over the ocean all holding hands with Harry as usual in the middle.

"What are you thinking?" Asked the Master.

"Time can be rewritten." Explained the Doctor as he pulled on their son's hand to get him moving and walked them into the TARDIS going up to the console unit.

"I want to go home." Demanded Amy suddenly, Amy had followed them into the TARDIS control room but was still on the walkway into the control room.

"Okay." Spoke the Doctor quietly, looking at her.

"No, not like that! I just… I just want to show you something. I'm running its why I agreed to come, I wanted to explain it to you all." Explained Amy so Harry nodded and set the navigator the TARDIS returned them to the garden where Amy lived. five minutes after they had left a year ago now. Once inside the house they followed Amy up to the bedroom she used that use to have a crack in her wall. The Doctor, Master, and Amy were sitting on her bed Harry was stood with his arms folded over his chest leaning against the wall that the crack had been in all four were looking at the closet where her wedding gown was hanging.

"Well?" Asked Amy

"Yeah!" Spoke the Master in reply.

"Blimey!" Was the Doctors comment.

"Okay!" Was Harry's response.

"I know. This is the same night we left, yeah?" Asked Amy

"We've been gone five minutes Amy even though we've travelled for a year it is only five minutes no one will notice you are slightly older!" Explained Harry. Amy leaned over to get a ring box and opened it.

"I'm getting married in the morning." Amy told them, showing them her engagement ring.

"Why did you leave it here?" Asked the Master to Amy.

"Why did I leave my engagement ring when I ran away with a strange family the night before my wedding?" asked Amy.

"Yes!" Replied the Master

"Who's the lucky fella?" asked the Doctor.

"You met him." Amy told the Doctor.

"Ah, the good looking one or the other one?" Asked the Doctor while mining a large nose.

"The other one." Amy told him.

"Well, he was good too!" Exclaimed the Doctor only to get a slap off the Master to the Doctors head and an annoyed look.

"In case it slipped your mind we are together and have a son so stop with that and congratulations Amy!" spoke the Master.

"Thanks. So, do you lot comfort a lot of people on the night before their wedding?" Asked Amy to the three.

"Why would you need comforting?" Asked Harry.

"I nearly died. I was alone in the dark and I nearly died. And it made me think." Explained Amy to them all then Amy grabbed the Doctor and kissed him only for the Doctor to be pulled away from Amy by the Master.

"Don't worry the beds big enough for the three of us why don't you go and have a brew Arbitrator we have some other things to talk about." Amy told the other two Time Lords.

"No Amy, I think you need the coffee I'm over one hundred and seventy five years old and you just kissed my Pere who is together with my dad and now you want a threesome with them which they definitely aren't having! What you and your other half get up to is your business, but you are not dragging my parents into it!" Harry told her in no uncertain terms he knew the two loved each other and him.

"But I nearly died it made me think I should enjoy life to the full before tomorrow." Any told all three of them.

"Well, yes, natural. I think sometimes. Well, lots of times... But you're Amy! You're getting married in the morning…. In the morning!" The Doctor suddenly realised something.

"Doctor?" Asked Amy

"It's you. It's all about you. Everything. It's about you. Amy Pond... Mad, impossible Amy Pond. I don't know why, I have no idea, but quite possibly the single most important thing in the history of the universe is that we get you sorted out right now you're to be married in the morning. Come on!" Explained the Doctor dragging her out of the bedroom. Harry and Master following them straight behind.

"Doctor!" shouted Amy but the Doctor just pushed Amy out of the house and into the TARDIS. The other two Time Lords following behind them after they had entered as usual Harry in the middle with the Master closing the doors behind him, they went to the console unit before looking at the TARDIS timeframe clock. It changes from eleven fifty nine on the twenty fifth of June to midnight going into the twenty sixth of June two thousand and ten. All three of the Time Lords looked at each other it was the same date that the information from the Byzantium had given them when they studied the crack in the middle of the wall in the secondary flight deck.
