I don't own digimon.

Story 76

Germinacide Pt 11: Germinacide

As Meiko and company ascended up into the sky, she couldn't help but feel… off. Try as the chosen might to shake away the feelings echoing about her chest, the feelings refused to go away. While the platform conjured forth by this 'Varia' woman was surprisingly comfortable, it reminded her of that day, all those years ago.

"Nanikāttandesuka, meikosan? (Is there something wrong, Madam Meiko?)" Flower inquired as she ignored the glares the sistermon trio were giving her and Nagamon here. Yes, her short conversation with Varia had brought forth her old speech pattern. But that wasn't anything close to making her suspicious in the first place. Perhaps it was the fact that she was a hybrid. Yeah. That was probably it.

"Tada… pātonā ga shinu no wa osoraku 3-kai-medesu. (It's just… I have to see my partner die for possibly the third time.)" Meiko answered and watched Flower lean in.

"Sankaime? Anata ga sono jijitsu ni kurushimu riyū ga wakarimasu. Watashi wa haigūsha o sukunakutomo 2-kai, matawa sore ijō koroshimashita. (Third time? I can get why you might struggle with that fact. I've killed my spouse at least twice, if not more.)" Flower explained, Nagamon taking a moment to shoot her a look. Then it's back over to Meiko.

"Anata wa sore ga dō iu wake ka anata no kankei no seijōna bubundearu ka no yō ni iimasu. Demo meikūmon wa watashi ni totte totemo taisetsuna sonzaideshita. Eosumon ga ichijitekini saikai shita toki, yume ga kanatta yōna ki ga shimashita. Demo, yume wa tsudzukanaidesu yo ne? (You say it like it's somehow a normal part of your relationship. But Meicoomon was extremely precious to me. When Eosmon temporarily reunited us, it felt like a dream come true. But dreams don't last, do they?)" Meiko whispered, tears rolling down her eyes. Flower took care to wipe them away.

"Īe sōde wa arimasen. Shikashi, yoi toki mo warui toki mo omoide ga arimasu. (No they do not. But we have the memories of the good times and bad.)" Flower answered, gaze meeting that of Sistermon (Ciel). "Madamu shisutāmonzu wa sono kankaku o motte iru to omoimasu. Tadashī? (I suspect Madame Sistermons has a sense of that. Correct?)"

Sistermon (Ciel) rolled her eyes.

"Oi. Watashitachi wa anata no kako o sensaku shimasen. Anata mo watashitachi no kako o sensaku shimasen. (Hey. We don't pry into your past, you don't pry into ours.)" Sistermon (Noir) announced and pulled her gun out. Pointing it at Flower and Nagamon, a look from her older sister was enough to bring it back down.

"Sate sate, nowāru. Watashi wa sono yōna kōdō o toru koto wa arimasen. Kanojo o korosanakereba naranai baai wa, kaen hōsha-ki o shiyō shimasu. (Now now, Noir. I will not be having that behavior. If we have to kill her, we'll use a flamethrower.)" Sistermon (Ciel) explained and was treated to a look from Meiko and Huckmon. By no means where they expected the conversation to go, but it worked.

"Otaiba made atosukoshi. Nihon no sutekina basho, tatoe watashi ga ima made ni itta koto ga aru no wa korosu koto dakeda to shite mo. (Not that much further to Odaiba. Nice part of Japan, even If the only thing I've ever done there is kill.)" Varia explained and stared down at the ground below. Put that way, it almost makes her sound like a murder. Yes, she has murdered her fair share of people. But I'll be damned that she hasn't nearly gotten herself murdered a handful of times. An absolute brat of a woman. She tried to stab me once. Had to remind her that one, that wouldn't work. Secondly, she had just committed an act of treason. In front of both of my moms no less. That was an… awkward Advent dinner.

"Un. Hakai sa rete inai toki wa ī bashodesu. (Yeah. It's a nice place when it isn't being destroyed.)" Meiko added and Huckmon chuckled. Getting a look from his 'partner', it's back ahead. Ordinemon could be clearly made out here. Staring upon the group of people that had gathered, it looks unchanged from the last time that we checked in.

"Soko wa dōi shimasu. (I'll agree with you there.)" Huckmon answered and got a pet from Meiko. Sitting in the chosen's lap for the moment, he scanned the area for any sign of possible threats that were out and about. While the armored digimon swore he could sense Lord Knightmon and Alphamon, it was no doubt a false positive of sorts. If they were here, they would likely be helping in dealing with the conflict. Considering what happens normally, I have to call bullshit here. You all have a track record for following orders, only to realize after the fact that might not have been a good idea in the first place.

"To hai e, koko ni modotte kankōkyaku no furi o suru no wa chotto tanoshī kamo shiremasen. (Though, it would be kind of fun to spend some time back here and play tourist.)" Sistermon (Blanc) suggested and Meiko turned red. While their search for more answers on her father's fuckups had been slow, tedious and not very fruitful, perhaps a change of scenery would reignite their drive. On the other hand, that was an ample opportunity for her father to swoop in and destroy the evidence.

"Watashi wa sore ga hoshīdesu. (I would like that.)" Meiko blurted out, taking care to tighten her grip. Once she was satisfied with it, her gaze swiveled over to the Sistermon trio. Perking up upon hearing her agreement to Blanc's idea, it was something to look forward too. Such events had been few and far between as of late, so anything was better than nothing. Especially in the face of Ordinemon being in the picture once more.

"Ea vu~aria o go riyō itadaki arigatōgozaimasu. Tsūjōnara, watashi wa seikō suru dakedesuga, kokode wa sore wa sentakushide wa nai to omoimasu. Soreha...Desu ka? (Thank you for flying Air Varia. Normally I would just fuck off, but I suspect that isn't an option here. Is it?)" Varia announced as she landed on the ground. Waiting a moment for any questionable remarks and/or attempts at making a joke, but got silence instead. The confirming sort, to be exact. "To omou hododeshita. (I thought as much.)"

Shooting her passengers a look, that was their cue to step off and head for the group. But not before checking the sky for any signs of Ken and Miyako.

"Oyasumi? Asa? Vu~ikutoria fujin. Sore wa… shibaraku tachimashita. (Good night? Morning? Madame Victoria. It's… been some time.)" Flower greeted, Victoria's gaze swiveling over. Taking a moment to look over her half-sister, a sigh escaped her lips. Of all the cringy events that have occurred, it's good to know that one is just as awkward as it was for my momma kitty. But I digress.

"Tashika ni soreha... (Indeed it has…)" Victoria muttered and reached for Kuro's hand. Grabbing hold, she was treated to a squeeze. Squeezing her beloved's hand back, her focus shifted to Meiko. "Watashitachi wa izen ni atta koto ga nai to omoimasu. Watashi wa vu~ikutoria arukanadesu. Madamu ririsumon wa kono atari ni imasu. (I don't believe we've met before. I'm Victoria Arcana. Madame Lilithmon is somewhere around here.)"

On cue, Madame Lilithmon appeared behind Meiko. Giving her a tap, the chosen spun around and jumped back.

"Gomen. Watashi wa teikō dekimasendeshita. (Sorry. I couldn't resist.)" Madame Lilithmon explained and floated down to meet Meiko's gaze. Holding a hand out, Meiko reluctantly shook it. Then it's over to Kuro here. Getting a wave, all it accomplished was the chosen stepping back.

"Ano… neko no chaku-gurumi obasan wa dō shita no? (Uh… what's the deal with the cat kigurumi lady?)" Meiko inquired as she was forced forward by Madame Lilithmon. Kuro let out a chuckle and made the short walk over. Holding a paw out, Meiko reluctantly shook it. Felt nice and warm. A far cry from her own cold appendages.

"Jitsuwa Nekomata dejimon, seikaku ni wa miko gatomondesu. (I'm actually a nekomata digimon, a Priestess Gatomon to be exact.)" Kuro explained, waiting for the inevitable gasp and the need to explain that particular mess. That never did get resolved, did it? Oh well. "Nagai hanashidakeredomo. (It's a long story.)"

Meiko nodded, her attention shifting over to Ordinemon. Currently floating over the burning airship, what remained of her former partner had no doubt noticed her. Giving the eldritch digimon a wave, Ordinemon does not wave back.

"Sore wa kanari no kemonodesu. Watashi wa sore ni monogatari ga aru to shinjite imasu ka? (That is quite a beast. I trust there's a story to it?)" Johanna announced and Meiko shifted her attention over to the dragoness. Tempting as it would be to freak out over this, the chosen decided against it. This sat in the same place that Kuro did. Probably a touch more. Honestly, it's a two… out of ten for me. I've seen normal things and in turn, strange things. But this doesn't really phase me.

"Don'na keikakudesu ka? (What's the plan?)" Jo inquired as he took a moment to wring out his clothes. The group looked among each other. While they had some firepower, that didn't change the fact they were still down Ken, Miyako and their digimon. What exactly was taking so long for them to get he-

"Watashitachi o koko ni oite kudasai, sutingumon. (You can set us down here, Stingmon.)" a voice called out, bringing with it the aforementioned group. Keiserine in tow as well, swords shining in the light of the red sky.

"Okuretesumimasen. Shū o dōro kara kosuri otosanakereba naranakatta. (Sorry we're late. Had to scrape Osamu off the road.)" Ken announced and got an eyebrow raise from his companions down below. Not that this stopped Stingmon from landing and his passenger's jumping off. Dusting themselves off, a moment was taken for the inevitable Meiko introduction. But that moment remained out of reach.

"Orudinemon no o shiri o kerimasu. (We kick Ordinemon's ass.)" Taichi announced as his attention shifted to Meiko. Getting a nod from his fellow chosen, their attention returned to their target. Currently fiddling with the airship wreckage, it was almost a shame to have to put her down. At the same time, this was a necessary evil. No telling what damage would be caused if allowed to remain alive.

Piyomon evolve too…

A cocoon formed around Piyomon, bringing with it a fierce red light. Within, the small bird digimon gave way to a big bird digimon, then to a bipedal bird digimon. All just to decide that walking on two legs was not worth it and become a massive four-winged phoenix digimon instead. Checks out.

Hououmon!

Flapping their wings about to get their bearings once more, they shoot off in the direction of Ordinemon. Madame Lilithmon follows right behind, but not before shooting Varia a look. Considering what Varia does in her off time, that's probably warranted.

*Happy noises* Daisuke announced as they approached the water's edge. Staring out, their attention shifted back to the group. Motioning for V-Mon to come over, V-Mon chose to remain in place. I honestly don't blame him here.

"Ē to… Daisuke ni nani ga okotta no ka shiritaidesu ka? (Uh… do we even want to know what happened to Daisuke?)" Miyako inquired and Jun let out a sigh. Feeling Meiko's eyes lock onto her as well, time for yet another complicated explanation. Seems to have a ton of those as of late.

"Shōjikina tokoro, tegakari ga arimasen. Kare wa tada… kore ni natte shimattanode, kare o motonimodosu hōhō wa nai to omoimasu. (I honestly have no clue. He just… turned into this and I don't think there's any way to turn him back.)" Jun answered as Gammamon decided now was as good of a time as any to step towards the water. Shooting her partner a look, a sigh escaped Jun's lips. "Gammamon, I'm going to need you to be careful here. Do I make myself clear?"

Gammamon nodded.

Gammamon evolve too… Kaus Gammamon!

In place of the white dinosaur digimon, now stood a blue dinosaur digimon fused with a wingsuit. Flying up to join Hououmon and the other winged digimon, Stingmon and Aquilamon were not far behind. Didn't explain why Keiserine of all people was hanging to the back of the former. Probably to get a better angle… maybe? Yeah. That's probably it.

"Anata wa watashi no senaka ni tobinoru koto ga dekita no o shitte imasu ka? (You know you could've hopped on my back?)" Johanna called out as they stepped out to the water. As they did that, Victoria walked up. "Kon'nichiwa. Anata wa watashi no sekai no dareka o omoidasa semasu. Motto… nebaneba. (Hello. You remind me of someone in my world. Except more… gooey.)"

Victoria let out a sigh. After the mess with Queen Eliza and her sentient greatsword, alternate versions of her were just par of course.

"Shitte okuto yoi. (Good to know.)" Victoria muttered as she got on the dragoness's back. Getting herself comfortable, it was onto water walking. Which left a handful of humans and digimon to figure out what the heck they were doing here. Great and all to gather in one place, it sucks if your opponent is capable of flying and remaining out of reach.

"Anata wa hasshabutsu o motte imasen ka? (Do you people not have projectiles?)" Varia joked as she ascended up into the air. Getting a look from Kuro, she ignored it in favor of heading for Ordinemon. Definitely for the best. The perfect cue for Sistermon (Noir) to walk up. Lifting up one of her pistols, she did her best to hit her opponent.

"Baka tokudai erudoritchidejimon! (Stupid oversized eldritch digimon!)" Sistermon (Noir) announced and gritted her teeth. The nerve of Ordinemon. When she got her hands on Ordinemon, they would no doubt pay. The nun gothic nun digimon was certain of it. Even as Daisuke walked up and squeezed her hand. Sistermon (Noir) squeezed back, only to find herself pulled into the water. Great and all, minus the fact that neither of them were capable of flying and/or walking on water. So you can imagine what happened next.

"Aidoru no otokonoko no on'nanoko no koto, a ̄ , watashinotomodachi o mizu kara hikiagete moraemasu ka? (Idol boy girl thing, uh could you pull my friend out of the water?)" Meiko called out, ignoring the feelings bubbling within. Looking over to Flower, she found her companion more focused on trying to figure out how to close the distance. For now, she headed over to Daisuke and Sistermon (Noir). Taking the utmost care to pull them up out of the water, her attention shifted back to Ordinemon. Oddly heading their way, their attention was on Meiko. Even as a variety of projectiles headed their way. Slamming into their skin, a loud screech echoed forth. Shattering glass and throwing loose objects about, it had the added benefit of knocking everyone back. Didn't matter if you were up in the air or on the ground. You were getting pushed and you would like it. Or however that insult goes. Doesn't matter. "Oi! Mei-chan ni komattara mentomukatte ie yo! (Hey! If you have a problem with me, mei-chan, say it to my face!)"

Ordinemon's hair tentacles move about, almost as if they were attempting to roll eyes that did not exist. Even if they did exist, one would not be able to see them.

"What makes you think that I consider you my equal, sister?" Ordinemon announced, her voice oddly calming for an eldritch digimon. One would expect some kind of madness effect to come with it, but no. Considering the state of the world, that was definitely for the best.

"Imōto? (Sister?)" Sora announced as Huckmon headed over to Meiko. Stopping right beside her, a moment was taken to examine the chosen. While there was nothing in the way of changes to her body, anxiety and stress had no doubt threatened to take hold at any moment.

"You're a clone. That's less weird than this shit." Ordinemon countered as she reached the water's edge. Bending down to meet Meiko's gaze, there was still a massive height difference here. While the temptation to reach out and grab her 'equal' was very much here, Ordinemon kept her hands back.

"Infuse!" Flower announced, forcing all attention over to her at the moment. Even if their attention perhaps should've been on her partner here. A dark green outline had formed around the snake digimon's body, making them look like an even sillier fashion accessory of sorts. Such a comment remained unspoken for the sake of not causing further strife.

Nagamon infusion evolve too… Gaia Nagamon!

In place of Nagamon, was a version of them with an almost earthy texture. Like you got a bunch of dirt together and shaped it into a snake.

Gaia Gaze!

Swinging Nagamon around like they were some kind of stretchy snake toy, the earth snake digimon glared intently at Ordinemon. Conjuring forth a couple boulders, they slam into Ordine's chest. Not even knocking the eldritch digimon back, they took the attack head-on. Not even flinching, it was a long shot to begin with.

Sutāraito Ekusupurōjon! (Starlight Explosion!)

Pulling one set of wings back for a split second, Hououmon let forth a barrage of golden light beams. Littering Ordinemon's back, any signs of pain were either hidden or weathered through for the sake of dramatic effect. Perhaps both. You can never know when you get to stuff like mega digimon.

Moon Inferno Stab!

Now much within stabbing distance, Victoria put her butterfly swords to good use and stabbed them into Ordinemon's side. While she did that, what looked to be blackish purple thorns formed around Johanna's hands. Launching them around their opponent's legs, they dug into the eldritch digimon's skin. Not quite as potent as that of Victoria's attack, it did the job nicely.

"Could it kill you to give me a moment to have a proper conversation with my clone?" Ordinemon screeched, her ask falling on deaf ears as Varia took the opportunity to launch forth a few spells and Angewomon of all digimon to fire off a couple arrows.

"No. You're a parasite on this land!" Tsukaimon announced and got a look from Takeru. While that's technically true, that didn't change the fact that it might have not been a good thing to say here. Especially when your opponent is more than capable of destroying the town. Yeah. Not a good idea.

"You should be dead. But I don't see anyone bitching about that now, do I?" Ordinemon announced and shifted her attention over to Meiko once more.

"Sore wa kono jōkyō to nani no kankei ga arimasu ka? (What does that even have to do with this situation?)" Meiko countered and shot Ordinemon a look. Not even fazed, what sounded like chuckling escaped her mouth. Did she have something sinister in mind here?

"Well, did it ever occur to you how odd it was that you share your name with your partner?" Ordinemon announced and Meiko raised an eyebrow. What did that of all things have to do with this mess? Was her former partner trying to suggest that her

"Kore ga haiburiddo ni kansuru monodeareba, watashi wa shitte imasu. Watashinochichi wa, kare no kontorōru o koeta chikara de asonde ita ni chigai arimasen. Wakaranai koto o oshiete! (If this is about hybrids, I'm aware. My dad was no doubt playing with forces beyond his control. Tell me something I don't know!)" Meiko shouted and silence fell over the area. Of all the things to shout, you very much don't want to shout this. At least, not without having some idea of opening pandora's box. Considering that it's been open, lifting the lid up even further ain't going to kill anyone… hopefully.

"We were the first. Less of a success and more of a trial run. Can't be turning girls into perfect little alices on the fir-" Ordinemon announced, the sound of a shotgun ringing out. Good to know where the Tanaka's fit in here. Random fun fact, they were accidentally killed by way of a pair of post workers. Of course, they aren't here to claim credit for their kill. Their companions are, but it's for the best. "I was having a conversation. I'm sorry I took the literal manifestation of your sister's need to control out back and blasted it."

For that, the sound of heavy gunfire erupted. When that did little damage to her back side, the gunfire stopped.

"Sorry about that. Had to take out a couple threats along the way. Now, where were we? Right. The whole 'genetic modification' shitshow." Ordinemon continued as Koushiro waltzed up. Fashionably late and holding a can of Asahi Cool Draft, I can see why a certain someone and their boyfriend are here. Yeah. Completely justified in that regard. "Wonderful. Fucking wonderful. Of all the people who thought they mattered, you just had to show up."

Koushiro rolled his eyes. Why did the giant eldritch digimon need to be such a hard ass? He was having a bad day.

"Sore de, watashi ga subete o dainashi ni shitara dō shimasu ka? Ayamaranakereba naranai no wa watashitachide wanaidesu yo ne? (So what if I fucked everything up? It's not like we're the ones who have to appologize, right?)" Koushiro announced, raised eyebrows all around. I don't know what to expect here.

"Dōiu imidesu ka… subete o dainashi ni shimashita ka? (What do you mean… fucked everything up?)" Sora announced and Ordinemon chuckled. Creating waves across the body of water, Meiko, Daisuke and Sistermon (Noir) were splashed in the process.

"Oh yes. Did it never occur to you idiots that your friend having a bunch of sensitive data would somehow remain in his hands?" Ordinemon taunted, only to watch Victoria step forward. Ignoring that gesture for now, her attention instead split between Meiko and Koushiro. "Some places aren't meant to be entered. But you let your curiosity get the better of you. For what? Knowledge? No. You wouldn't be getting sued if that were the case. All you got was unanswered questions and a convenient back door for anyone with the capability to cross dimensions. A shame that the one who entered wasn't such an idiot."

The words rolled out and silence fell over the chosen. Nothing like an accusation of accessory to mass murder to do that to a person. Considering the fact that also made them accessories to mass murder as well, I get the feeling that sparks are about to fly.

"Anata no shōko wa nanidesu ka? ! Shōko o misero! (What is your proof?! Show me evidence!)" Koushiro screeched, only to be treated to a grab from Ordinemon and getting tossed into the lake.

"Your evidence is right in front of you - the remains of people who never deserved this in the first place." Ordinemon announced and pointed in the direction of Victoria. The black cat stared back, fear and frustration bubbling to the surface. Flipping the eldritch digimon off, her attention shifted to Kuro. Getting a squeeze from her girlfriend, their attention turned back to Ordinemon. "Okay. Does anyone else have something to add that would result in a long tangent?"

For once, the silence that fell over the area was a good thing. Hopefully that doesn't trigger another random event and put us back where we started.

"Right. Genetic modification. Before one can create a being capable of switching between two forms, you need someone actually capable of holding the vessel. Rather than going the easy way and I don't know, grabbing a human and implanting digital data into them, your 'father' decided that he wanted a challenge - inserting human 'data' into a digimon. I think you all have a pretty good idea of where this is going, don't you?"

Ordinemon doesn't get a response. Mostly because of the sheer brutality she's suggesting. Heck, it even makes me sick to my stomach. And I've seen some incredibly fucked up shit.

"So I'm just the refined result of shoving things into other things that shouldn't have gone into each other in the first place?" Meiko announced, somehow blissfully unaware of the patches of fur forming across her arms.

"Yes. You're essentially a meicoomon skinned to look like a human. Not really great at being a human or a digimon, just an awkward mix of the two. Quite a shame. If you were actually good at one, perhaps dear old daddy wouldn't have gone further." Ordinemon continued and Meiko froze. Still unaware of the fur appearing on her body, she didn't know how to respond to that claim. Disbelief? Anger? Some mix of the two. Indifference. Actually, the last one is probably the best here. Unless you really want to fight the giant eldritch digimon.

"Kono jiten de watashi ga ki ni shite iru to omoimasu ka? Hai, watashi wa chichi ga mechakucha ni natta koto o yoku shitte imasu. Shikashi, watashi wa kare no hon'no ichibu ga kare no kokoro ni watashi e no ai o motte iru to shinjitai. Migi? (Do you think I care at this point? Yes, I'm very much aware my father fucked up. But I like to believe that a tiny part of him has some love in his heart for me. Right?)" Meiko inquired, Ordinemon's head doing its best to maintain 'eye contact' with her partner. Easier said than done when you know, you don't have eyes.

"If he did, do you think we would be having this conversation?" Ordinemon countered, the fur rapidly spreading across Meiko's body. Nails gave way to claws, more than ready to tear anyone who was dumb enough to think they could just get their way with her. "Do you think that those who have lost the very thing that allowed them to exist in the first place would have to worry? Exactly. You can have one, or the other."

'Meiko' rolled her eyes, her body deciding that walking on two legs was overrated. Even as 'Daisuke' shot her a look. While they seemed to be like them, this was different. Perhaps they could be friends. If such an opportunity presented itself in the future.

"Kore wa, gyanburā nekomon zetsubō mōdo no yarō no 1-tsude wanai hō ga yoideshou.

(This better not be another one of those Gambler Nekomon Despair Mode fuckers.)" Varia announced and got a look from Victoria and most likely, our second party. Not that one can really check from this angle. For now, we turn our attention back to Meiko. Strange tendrils have sprouted forth, tentatively whipping at the air in the hopes of getting everyone to get back and maybe not get hurt. Wishful thinking, but it's the thought that counts.

"Nani? (A what?)" Jo announced and got a sigh from the bitch. Where to even begin with a creature of that magnitude? Eh. If it mattered, then it would've come up as more than a single joke. A joke that probably didn't even land with people. Can't get them all.

"Norowareta nekogata dejimondesu. (A cursed cat digimon, pretty much.)" Victoria answered and let go of Kuro's hand. Letting out a sigh, her focus shifted over to Meiko and Ordinemon. Tempting as it would be to evolve and join the fight, she pushed that thought out. Especially as Meiko gained some height and width. Resembling the aforementioned digimon (minus the body sprouting forth)

"Ō. Itsuka karera ni aemasu ka? (Oh. Can I meet them some day?)" Meiko called out, her voice surprisingly normal for the state of her body. Didn't explain the sound of footsteps echoing their way.

"Shōjikina tokoro, shinai kata ga īdesu. (It's honestly best that you don't.)" Victoria answered as Ordinemon attempted to swing at her clone. Missing entirely, she created another wave in the water. Thankfully, this one didn't accomplish anything. Especially with Johanna nearby.

"No, that would be a honestly wonderful family reunion. A shame that you'll have to settle for me." Ordinemon answered, a cocky smile forming on her face. So what if her imposter had managed to become a digimon. There was no way she would actually do some-

Ordinemon didn't get to finish that thought, Meiko deciding now was a good time to headbutt the eldritch digimon. Rolling back, she somehow managed to not hurt anyone. Quite an impressive feat, even if that attack probably hurt the chosen more than it hurt Ordinemon.

"Anata ga kazoku o tsuika shinakute mo, watashi wa jūbun'na mondai o kakaete imasu! (I have enough problems without you adding family members!)" Meiko countered as she got back on her feet. Charging right in, an attempt was made to do a Tailmon's lightning paw attack. But all that occurred was the chosen swiping at the air. Not particularly threatening in the slightest.

"Do you really think you get a choice in this matter?" Ordinemon announced, only for her partner to lunge at her. Biting down with all her might, what looks to be blood appears to be spurting out. Dropping into the water below, it didn't faze Meiko in the slightest. If anything, it only seemed to make her bite down even harder. "Let go of me, you bitch!"

Sadly, Ordinemon's words fell on deaf ears here. Not completely certain why she thought that would actually work. It's quite clear that Meiko is going to kill you by her own hand (or teeth in this case). There's nothing you can legitimately do to stop her here. At least beyond hurting herself. Stupid and absolutely the coward's way out, it would not make for a thrilling end. But that is not up to me to decide. No, that decision was 100% Ordinemon's to make. Of course, Ordinemon chose to let her clone kill her. Bits of Ordinemon began to rain down, bringing with it a mix of blood and digital data until there was almost nothing left.

"How do you feel?" Ordinemon taunted as Meiko let go of her arm. Reverting back to her human self, this all felt hollow. Thankfully landing in the water, she stared up at Ordinemon.

"Awful. Absolutely fucking awful." Meiko announced, spitting out pieces of Ordinemon. Flipping the bird for good measure, that was Ordinemon's cue to get closer. Embracing the eldritch digimon for a hug, Ordinemon oddly accepted the gesture. "Let me finish this."

The hug gave way to a squeeze of the neck. Quite easy for all the trouble that Ordinemon gave them the last time around. Taking with it the last of Ordinemon's data, the sky remains unchanged.

"Sorede ī hazudesu yo ne? (That should've done it, right?)" Taichi announced, looking in the direction of Meiko and company. But all that got was a shrug. To be fair, most events seem to be related to you. But not this. This is one of those special events that are the result of someone else's problems.

"Yakutatazu no musume ga yatto yakunitatete yokatta. (It's good to know that my useless daughter would finally be of use.)" a voice announced, bringing with it the one and only Mr Mochizuki. Took you long enough. Dressed in business attire, what looked like a tranquilizer gun sat far too comfortably in his hands. Aimed in Meiko's direction, he no doubt brought extra darts. Just in case anyone has any ideas. Ha. Like that's going to work the way he expects it too.

"Leave." Flower snarled, Nagamon more than ready to strike and send a message to the scientist. Not that said message is actually treated with the respect that it deserves. Even if it was, do you really think

"Doshite watashi ga kon'na koto ni? Watashi wa jibun no mono o tsukande mondai o kaiketsu shite iru dakedesu. (Why should I? I'm merely grabbing what is mine and fixing the problem.)" Mr Mochizuki answered, the tranquilizer gun inching ever closer to its target. For that, he was met with the various weapons of those who gathered here. Even Kuro's bow. Oh yeah. I kind of forgot she had that. Oops.

"Sore wa hitodeari,-monode wa arimasen. So no yōna shoyū-ken o jissai ni shuchō suru koto wa dekimasen. (That's a person, not an object. You can't really claim ownership like that.)" Johanna announced, the tranquilizer gun now pointed in their direction. Mr Mochizuki fired the weapon off, watching the dart get blasted out of the air by way of a projectile. More specifically, one of Johanna's blasts. Shattering the dart, the contents of which managed to just avoid falling to the ground and contaminating the ground. Shifting their attention over to Mr Mochizuki, the sound of knuckles being cracked echoed across the area.

"Watashi ga anata no iken o ki ni kakete iru to omou riyū wa nanidesu ka? Kore wa subete, yori ōkina mokuteki no tamedesu - (What makes you think that I care about your opinion? This is all for the greater go-)" Mr Mochizuki announced, only to be knocked to the ground by his daughter. Restraining him, it's clear how she feels about this.

"Greater good this, greater good that. Did it ever fucking occur to you that let me go through hell and never once considered how it would effect me? The feelings I had of the future I desired. The feelings of having someone who I thought I would never get to see again?" Meiko screeched, Huckmon switching to his Jesmon form for good measure. As for the sistermon trio, they had gotten behind Meiko. Just in case that things went south and there was a need to pull her away. Considering her reaction, that was very much necessary. Still need

"Honrai arubeki koto o ichido mo itte inai mono o, naze watashi ga ki ni suru nodeshou ka? (Why would I care about something that never did the things that it was supposed to do?)" Mr Mochizuki announced as he ripped his daughter off. Throwing her into the water, an attempt was made to escape the situation. Key word being 'escape'. Only managing to make a couple steps before he was promptly tackled by the chosen. Holding him in place. I get the feeling I know what's about to go down.

"Where do you think you're going?" Meiko screeched as she limped her way out of the water. Pulling herself out, the chosen made a beeline for her father. Fist pulled back, she smashed right through his skull. That's… certainly a way to end this out. "Good riddance…"

Before Meiko could finish that thought, the strength left her body. Crumpling to the ground, the reality of what she had just accomplished is reflected back. Though, the red sky fading away definitely didn't help matters. Or maybe it did. Who can say in this mess. Taking with it Johanna, that was for the rest. The clean would take a bit and there's no rest for the wicked.

.

"That should be everything."

Alva Mon shifted her seated position. By no means the worst thing in the world, it was certainly up there.

"Really?" she announced and watched the seamstress nod. Looking over to her spouse, she took care in waking Laura Knight Mon. Quite a bit easier than one would expect it to be.

"I'll need about a day to get it ready, so it might be best for you to stay in the area. Okay?" Usagi explained and was treated to a pair of nods. Breathing a sigh of relief, her attention shifted to Harajuku. Unscathed from whatever mess that might have occurred, that was all the more reason to lick up and have a good night's rest.

"Thank you, kind seamstress." Laura Night Mon announced as she pulled her spouse to the door. Heading through, Usagi watched on. Locking up right after, she headed for bed…

Narrator Switch: Harlequin to Trinity

Trinity's Note:

Oops. I accidentally cut Harlequin off. Looking at the text message string I just got, she was actually fine with it. That, and she'll likely need a chapter worth of time to recharge. Something I'm more than happy to do.
