The travels after the holiday were interesting, seeing the timeline of them visiting Van Gogh when they were looking around the museum Harry chose not to follow them he could see in the timeline he might be a great painter but to meet him would ruin his work he was not what Harry had expected such a renowned painter to be like in real life Harry though they might have been better off visiting Da Vinci. So, he left the Doctor, the Master and Amy to it carrying on with his work for being a Time Lord as well as his work on his engineering course for the TARDIS it was brilliant to have a break but even though he had caught up before the holiday he was now behind again, through the other adventures they had gone on just the four of them now, when the Doctor, the Master and Amy returned to the museum with Van Gogh himself, Harry thought it would be interesting to see what he would look like in person and what he thought when the curator told the Doctor and Master what he truly felt about Van Gogh and how much he was an inspiration to other painters and people even in their current time it was interesting yet nothing had changed in the timeline or for the paintings he had done throughout his whole life even after meeting the Doctor the Master and Amy, Harry thought that maybe the three of them would be an inspiration to him he seemed mostly to Harry a drunk who didn't have two pennies to rub together but then again most inspiring artists didn't throughout their life, it was only once they were dead did their work really take off. When the Doctor and Master took Van Gogh to the museum Harry had accompanied them all having met them all in the control room Harry went with them all into the museum looking over what Van Gogh had painted and what the curator was describing as he showed them around each piece the artist was nearly in tears the way the curator described his work the painting of the sunflowers he had done while Amy and the two Time Lords were with him not that he knew what they were but he never thought the picture he had painted would have such prominence or be so revered and probably his most famous painting out of all that he had done, as they returned Van Gogh to his own time though, Harry saw the final picture he would paint in the future just before he died and was worried about it, very worried it looked like the TARDIS exploding but when they had lost Rory the Master had said he didn't think it was possible for a TARDIS to explode yet the Doctor had pulled shrapnel out of one of the cracks in Time the one that had taken Rory form them, Harry decided not to say anything about it from what he saw of Van Goghs life he spent most of his time drunk so it could be the mad painting of a drunk nothing more.

They travel around for another few months visiting different times and different planets some for relaxation but some the TARDIS took them to so that a problem in the timeline could be sorted out, other still they just seemed to stumble across purely by accident they would want to go somewhere and would,d only to find problems they needed to sort out it was still fun and exciting even though the Doctor, the Master and Harry were still missing Rory! Amy occasionally felt things but didn't understand them and there was nothing any of the three could do. This especially got Harry down as he knew they would get Rory back, but he didn't know when and he couldn't even tell the Master or the Doctor that. Harry had visited his Father quite a bit since they had lost Rory sometimes just to get away so he couldn't be seen upset his Father was adamant that he shouldn't tell either his dad or Pere that they would get Rory back or it could cause huge problems for them all. Harry wished he didn't know they would, but his Father just kept telling him to persevere it would turn out alright and would just then hug him until HIS SON felt better and Harry would return to the universe and TARDIS to be with his other parents.

Their next trip didn't go according to plan, but lucky Harry had decided as they were on Earth to buy food he would go and see Sirius even if it was a Sunday not on the Saturday he would normally go on, it was the right weekend in the month to see him and he decided to go for the week this time as he had not seen him for three months, and he could jump to the house that Sirius owned from the living room that just his dads and he had on the TARDIS so after saying goodbye to his dad and Pere he jumped to Sirius' house using SATURN he didn't need to take any clothes with him as Sirius was his godfather he still had his room from when he lived with Sirius and he had brought clothes over the years that fitted him each time he grew, so that is what he did.
Sirius was happy to see him even if it was early in the morning. Harry cooked them both breakfast as Sirius still hadn't learnt how to cook and normally had cereal for his breakfast now but he had all the ingredients needed, well he did after Harry had nipped out to the local shop while Sirius was making them both a cup of coffee using the coffee for Harry that he would only drink and then Harry set about cooking them a full English breakfast. Even though it was a Sunday Sirius was due to go into work for the day and so Harry decided that instead of staying around the house until he got home that he would go with him and meet all the new team that were there now. They agreed after Sirius finished work for the day on Monday they would go and do a shop at the supermarket so that Harry could buy in food for the rest of the week rather than eating out every night or ordering take away like Sirius did, after they had finished their breakfast and Sirius washed up or stacked the dishwasher and they had another cup of coffee each they set of the Torchwood Cardiff. it was so different now, there was only Sirius, Jack and Gwen left from the original team they were new workers there that Harry was introduced to as the Arbitrator a Time Lord that Jack and Sirius knew from when he had visited before with his parents the Master and the Doctor. Jack demanded of the new people on his team that the information that the Arbitrator knew them both or anything about him being another Time Lord was not to go any further than those working in the hub neither was it to be put in any reports or wrote down anywhere he was still classed a child in Time Lord terms although they were to treat him as an adult consultant as his mental age was a lot more than any of theirs. Jack told his team that the Arbitrator was there to give them all a hand in any investigations that they might need him to look at as well as help them catalogue some of the new items Torchwood had confiscated as well as interview aliens that they had picked up that didn't speak any language on earth. Even though Harry was meant to be spending his time with Sirius Jack put him to work first interviewing three new aliens that they had picked up in the last month that didn't speak any language they knew and to first find out what they were doing on Earth then he was to find out how they had got there and whether they were a danger to the general public if he could get all that done with Sirius taking notes then the two of them could get off as this was pressing they had been there for a month already and no one had been able to decipher their language yet Harry was grateful for this as it would mean they could go shopping today instead of tomorrow and he could cook something descent for their evening meal rather than having to order a takeaway for both of them. As soon as Harry set eyes on each of them he told Sirius exactly which species they were and what planets they came from after spending the morning taking to the three arrangements were made for a signal to be sent to allow their species to come and pick them up, as all three had crash landed on Earth and just wanted to go home. Harry helped Jack out in private by using SATURN that the new staff didn't know about and both him and Jack didn't want them knowing about her to send each of the planetary governments the information that a member of their race had crashed onto the planet and they needed to be collected as even though the population had been exposed to aliens over the last few years, they tried to ensure as much contact as possible was not seen by the general public, after speaking to the government officials their families were notified and arrangements were made for them to be collected Jack was the one to sort out the dates, times to the English clock of when they were able to be collected and where they could be collected from. After both Harry and Sirius had finished at Torchwood for the day Harry took Sirius shopping for food for the week, originally Sirius wanted to pay for it, but Harry just used his own sonic screwdriver to pull cash out of a cash machine and off they went into the supermarket to get what they would need. The rest of the afternoon once they got home was spent catching up on the different things that Sirius had been up to and Harry went about telling him the same, while Harry cooked them both a Sunday roast for their evening meal something Sirius only got when Harry came to visit normally he only stayed for the weekend at Sirius' but Sirius was over the moon to have Harry there for the week even if he was working Jack had told Harry it was fine for him to accompany Sirius to work if he wanted to rather than sitting around the house on his own but the way he said it Jack seemed to be very accommodating his voice held wonder and respect for Harry something that had never happened before, yes he respected the Doctor and the Master and he knew Harry was Sirius' godson but that was a secret that only Jack, Sirius and Gwen knew, the information had never been shared with any of the new members of the team and never would be Jack assured him when he asked about the new team members. Normally Jack didn't mind Harry popping in for a few days but the way he had said he could come in whenever he wanted, he was always welcome made Harry wonder what was going on. Harry told Jack he would come and visit during the week, but he didn't want to spend all his time at Torchwood. Harry was interested at what they had been up to since he had last visited and Jack told him to help himself to read through all the files if he wanted to, something he had never offered before. However half way through Monday morning Harry had been reading reports and something bothered him Jack had taken off for a week before Ianto had died with species four five six that had re-visited the earth and demanded three hundred and twenty five thousand children between the ages of five to eleven in England alone when calculated with the rest of the figures from around the world it added up to ten percent of the Earths child population in that age range they had already visited the Earth once before in nineteen sixty five and taken eleven children, only a child named Clement MacDonald has been able to escape, the aliens took the children in exchange for a influenza cure that if not found and given to the world population then the influenza would have wipe out over twenty five million people once it mutated. It was estimated if it wasn't vaccinated against but now they wanted the ten percent of the Earths children in exchange for not destroying the Earth, Jack had nearly resigned and left the Earth and Torchwood Cardiff after the fiasco of it all he had manged to save the children but had lost Ianto in the process of doing so. It was only Sirius and Gwen working for Torchwood Cardiff that was still keeping him there, Jack was a mess over it he had never realised how much he loved Ianto until he died in his arms. When Harry got him on his own Monday afternoon and asked him where he had gone for the week a month before it had happened Jack told him he would know eventually why he had disappeared Harry looked at him funny but Jack would not relent all he would say is to remember no matter what he would always help him if he ever needed it but again there was something in his voice Jack seemed to hold wonder and respect above even the Doctor and the Master while looking and telling Harry that there was nothing he could tell him about the missing week he would find out in his own time what went on but to rember he would always help him if he needed it.
"Jack what is going on?" Demanded Harry eventually he had cornered him in his office on their own later that afternoon and after throwing his hand out and a blue shield popped up around the room silencing it so only them two would hear the conversation taking a seat opposite Jack.
"I never knew Arbitrator, at the crucible what you did, I didn't realise it was you or what you had done. It finally sank in what and who you are, how many know?" Jack explained then asked.
"What do you mean Jack?" Harry asked confused.
"I mean how many know who your Father is who HE actually is who you truly are how you destroyed the daleks." Jack told him.
"What's brought this on I told you I would end the Daleks at the Request of my Father not my dad or Pere and I did." Harry asked him confused still.
"The Doctors rule number one I didn't know that you were not only the son of the Master and the Doctor, but you are also the son of someone else." Was his reply.
"Ahh, no Jack I spoke the truth I have a Father on top of my dad and Pere. We might not always tell the truth and there is a good reason for that, but I try to as much as I can where I can, I don't actually lie I twit the truth if I have to, to make it become what I want it to for the timeline it is easier I find. Even with an eidetic memory after so long you can be caught out though, so I try not to. Surly that can't be all Jack?" Harry asked confused again.
"All… Arbitrator you have more immortality than me you are the SON of DEATH himself how do you not blind the Doctor and Master?" Jack asked shocked himself.
"My immortality is natural, so it comes across as natural, the Doctor is natural to look at but he's back to his first incarnation again because I offered him regeneration energy it's not tainted, I suppose the word is, dad has unfortunately done it before taken regeneration from other by force. It doesn't end well the power is twisted and so it twists the release of it making a not so good regeneration, putting it politely…. What happened to you is Rose took the soul of the TARDIS I suppose you could call her an extension the Deity TIME so she took part of the Deity into herself and gave you your life back she rewound your death but then not knowing what she was doing in bringing you back to life she gave to you to much Time to live it, it's why it hurts the Master and the Doctor to look at you It use to hurt me, you are full of Time to live your life, but it not an immortal life Jack, it means that you literally can't die until the Time within you runs out if you are injured it only takes time to heal you or the time needed to replace something but you can grow back out of your head that is how much power she pumped into you off the Deity TIME using the soul of the TARDIS to do so. So, it hurts us looking at you once you get older and the Time within you starts to run out it will lessen the pain it causes both the Doctor and the Master as I said to look at you. I'm lucky in a sense because of my Father I have better shields in my mind and the more I aged and spent with my Father the more my shield refined themselves so it doesn't hurt me as much as it does the Doctor and the Master to look at you, when I first set eyes on you it was as though you radiated Time it was as though there was this halo of yellow energy all around your body as though the outline of you was on fire with the colour being bright yellow." Harry explained it to him how he understood it.
"Do you know how much Time she pumped into me?" Jack asked interested himself.
"Honestly, no, the interaction here is really the only time you really cross paths with us and that is mainly me that spends my time here so much because of Sirius as you know I normally come once a month for the weekend we try to work it for a weekend he is off or at least having the Sunday off unfortunately there was nothing that could have been done about yesterday I don't know when I will be back on earth and I didn't know he was working it was a last minute decision first thing yesterday morning I hadn't even eaten breakfast before coming to visit him but as we were on the Earth in the right time I thought I might as well come and see Sirius and meet the new people he told me about that are now working for you hence staying for the week and appreciating you telling me I was welcome to come and spends as much time as I wanted to with him here while he is in work, I know you would have given him the week off if it wasn't for the new staff working here. I don't know what you do throughout your life though, don't forget you can Time travel so how much Time travel do you do in your future? Time is always moving forward, even sat here it still moves forward I could jump back a week and I would still move forward towards this point. Do you understand?" Explained then asked Harry, in the end Jack nodded.
"Now what Rose did was give you the actual Time energy to do all that for a very long time through the soul of the TARDIS however how much time that actually is though none of us know and I think it is one thing you never discuss again in your lifetime even after leaving here." Explained Harry to Jack.
"So, I will leave here?" Asked Jack he had thought about it with Ianto's death and knowing he could leave now whenever he wanted, but to hear this.
"Jack even the other people living on this world will leave, I know you see the end of this world, well you go to see it I suppose when you are a lot older, you must travel in Time though at some points in the future for you to be at some of the places I know you go to, you seem to come when there is going to be trouble and occasionally you will call the Doctor to help you out if you find a problem that you can't deal with or he would be better to deal with it than you are. You see him a few times alone before he found dad and me still alive but up until now those are the only times I know of you interacting with him maybe in our own futures you will call all three of us to help you with something. I know if it wasn't for you telling the Doctor that both dad and I were still alive just before you do eventually die, Pere would have gone high, from the information he put together about you being both Jack Harkness and the face of Boe. It is said that you have a secret that you will only tell a traveller before you die just as you are dying you tell the Doctor that he is not alone less than a year later he finds first dad and then between them they track me down to Sirius' if you hadn't done that then as I said Pere would have gone high he would have actually tried to alter a Fixed point in Time only to find out that it is very hard to do he would have felt that as he was the last Time Lord left alive the laws of Time were his to command only for it to all come crashing down around him he did alter the fixed point in Time only for the woman's who's death was fixed to kill herself." Harry explained but so nothing slipped out about the true past.
"So, it's me that tells the Doctor that his son and the Master as still alive?" Asked Jack.
"Yes as I said once you leave here I don't actually know what you do with your life but the final years are spent protecting a planet that the Doctor comes to as you are dying the cat woman who is a nurse and needed to repent spends her time looking after you says that it is said that you will reveal a great secret to a traveller just before you die when the Doctor tells you that you aren't dying you tell his that you give the last of your energy to help him do what needs to be done and call him your old friend then you tell him exactly word for word, you are not alone, just those four words, you are not alone, but they have so much meaning those words. From there it leads him to find dad and between the two of them it leads them to finding me with Sirius instead of who I had been left in hiding with. That was one of the reasons why he was so angry after the Time War not that he would tell any of you but it was because he had thought that not only had he condemned the children on Gallifrey to a fate that some could consider worse than death to protect the rest of the universe with what he had had to do but also that he had lost dad and when he came straight back to earth to pick me up from the caretakes I was hidden with they were dead and there was no sign of me…. Oh dear!" Explained Harry only to stop and suddenly see the timeline.
"The Doctor and Master have left Amy in the TARDIS and now it on a continuous dematerialisation loop." Harry explained as he continued to look into the timeline.
"Can you go and sort it?" Asked Jack but Harry shook his head.
"I will follow along with the TARDIS doing the same if I tried to enter her now, I wouldn't de-materialise inside of her as she is, I would never get through even with SATURN all that would do is put me on my own SATURN loop until I could pull myself out of it and that wouldn't be until after they sort out the TARDIS, I'll have to stay at Sirius's for a bit longer than the week planned it seems." Harry explained to Jack.
"The Doctor does get in some messes!" Spoke Jack diplomatically.
"It's going to be worse with the Master around, it seems there are aliens around again on Earth, aren't Torchwood and U.N.I.T meant to collect all of these you know, not us, they will eventually sort it and I can have a good laugh. Oh, the Doctors going to blush like no tomorrow, hopefully the Master will do the talking." Sniggered Harry at the end seeing the timeline.
"Oh no you don't, excuse me, Jack!" Spoke Harry and he sat up straight closing his eyes.
"What?" Jack asked, but Harry ignored him it took a minute before he relaxed and opened his eyes releasing a breath.
"Sorry Jack, I've just seen what the Doctor and the Master have done, the room they need to rent out is for one single occupant at four hundred pounds a month, so the Master has given the guy who owns the flat three thousand pounds in advance to let the two of them stay there for three months at over double the request. I told them I'm not waiting more than two weeks it was agreed I would stay here with Sirius for only a week I'm prepared to stay a week longer to let them to sort it out but I'm not staying here for three months I will be bored out of my mind. That's what I was doing getting the Masters attention through the bond we have between parents and tot so he would use the bond, he's told me to stay the next two weeks and they should be finished and have sorted it by then and they will come and collect me, it should be sorted within a fortnight he said, I've told him it better be." Harry told him, Jack burst out laughing.
"Oh, to see the Doctors face, please tell me the Master let the Doctor try to muddle through that? It would have been hilarious to see the Doctor trying to explain why the two of them only needed the one room for the two of them to stay in the way the Doctor blushes if you mention sex in front of him, I remember traveling with him." Spoke Jack still chuckling.
"The Master did let the Doctor do the talking at first, but he got so tongue tied the Master hit him over the head apologizes for the less than nutty boyfriend and carried on into the flat showing himself around the different rooms, the one they are sharing with is just opening and closing his mouth stood there in the living room not knowing what the hell is going on looking at the bag with all the cash in it." Explained Harry and laughed renewing Jacks.
"So, what will you actually do?" Asked Jack once they had calmed down.
"What the Master told me to do, I'll spend the rest of this week and all of next week with Sirius it's only Monday so I will stay until a week on Saturday and the TARDIS will pick me up from his house Saturday night like what we've just agreed. I was meant to only be here for the week as I told you yesterday, otherwise I will jump forward to after they have sorted it and once she stops dematerialising I will be able to get to her no matter what so I will jump back to when they sort it out and join up with them then and we can be on our way again, the thing is I don't know what the hell they have done to cause this, I know how to stop it I just can't they are going to have to talk Amy through it and they can only do that when she is coming into phase once she off again they have to wait." Harry explained.
"That sounds complicated." Jack said not following along.
"For a someone who isn't a Time Lord, but I built this console unit myself it's the best she has had we all three know how to use it easily and I sort out the problems which aren't many other than the Doctor leaving the breaks on and turning off the… Navigator. Oh Doctor, why do you put me through this?" Explained then Asked Harry as he groaned at the end realising what had happened.
"What's he done now?" Asked Jack
"The only way I can think this could happen with that console is if he turned the navigator off and didn't isolate it like I've been telling him to while leaving the breaks on if it wasn't for the fact the bloody TARDIS needs the breaking system I would remove them he always travels with them on and it causes nothing but problems that's why the bloody landing as so rough you've seen how a TARDIS should disappear and land not how the Doctor always does it he thinks the noise brings hope with it. I told him all it does is bring bloody broken bones with it. Doing what he has done leaving the breaks on and turning the navigator off at the same time without isolating the navigator first, then the TARDIS will find it hard to hit ground she doesn't know when to land, but how did they get out…. Ah same time as me." Harry explained then sniggered at the end.
"They hid all of Sunday after I had left from our living room hiding from me for last night in the park near to where the TARDIS disappeared from trying to sort it themselves linking a mobile and head set to the TARDIS console but the Master went for food for them and found the advert in one of the local shops and both agreed it was a better idea than staying in the park all night every night, the flat they are renting is just down the road from where the TARDIS was originally landed in London, Amy will be able to sort it out now they are in touch with her it will just take a while they went back to find her missing, I'm surprised they didn't think it was me but they probably waited five minutes, the most I take her for is a minute to them at most and usually one of them is with me. Poor Amy after everything she gone through, stuck trying to sort it out with both the Doctor and the Master giving instructions to her, she is not going to be happy with any of us when we all get back. I'll have to explain I couldn't interfere just as the Doctor and the Master can't now." Harry explained.
"So, what else have you been up to?" asked Jack
"Well, I found out that the Doctor has a long way back with the royal's Torchwood is only because of Queen Victoria all the others seem to get on well with him. Even in the future he's talked about by the royals." Harry told him.
"So why Torchwood?" asked Jack
"It wasn't only set up to monitor the Doctor, all alien life was and is studied by Torchwood they just collect more data on the Doctor to fight him after he introduced Queen Victoria up close and personal to a werewolf then tried to get a rise out of her only…. She was not amused…. This is going back when he was traveling alone with Rose Tyler I think she is the only one he told about the Master and me I don't know though she knew the Doctor had a family but that could have been through her looking through all of Time and space on satellite five when you helped them defeat the daleks and got given virtual immortality and invulnerability anyway back to Torchwood as it happened at a manor actually called Torchwood house it's where the name comes from, but Torchwood seem to collect information to fight against him rather than understand him and follow his timeline like other government departments and UNIT do!" Harry explained.
"With all your time on Earth won't you eventually be known to them? We keep our mouth shut here about you as you know and no one knows of your connection to Sirius other than me and Gwen, but others must notice that you are always with the Doctor and the Master!" Jack asked then explained.
"No because I only look sixteen, they don't realise just how old I actually am and unless it falls within my specialty, I let them tell me what they want me to do so no one cottons on." Harry explained.
"It's why I don't let on about my own longer life most government agencies in England know I'm virtually immortal and can't be killed but they don't know that I'm not actually from this Time I just run this hub for them taking over from the last leader!" Jack explained.
"Oh, some know that you're not from this Time just as you said they know you are virtually immortal species four five six showed them that, but they prefer you to run this Torchwood hub with your much vaster knowledge coming from the fifty first century. Canary Wharf was a cluster fuck of problems that highlight Torchwood. Yeah, lets believe that even though humanity has been around for two hundred thousand years but there are only five million ghosts that adds up! And we can only see them when we draw power from something we can't see or understand which is high up in the air, but hey free power and good old ghosts! Your idea works best, work with those you can, contain those you can't that are dangerous and those that want to live in peace and can do you let them. That I feel is the right approach, allow for compassion." Harry told him.
"you're a lot more caring than you let on at times." Jack told him.
"Most people took advantage of it when I was younger and not proficient in the universe, now I more careful but I have seen what loosing you compassion can do to a person and I want to never become that, especially because of my Father, HE holds no emotions other than one single one the love for me, that gives HIM other feelings but HE is at times very separated from those around HIM, HE doesn't care, HE doesn't feel regret or sadness or joy other than for me why would HE? To see it all only to take it away time and time again the number of universes just in this reality HE has ended He doesn't actually know how many that is. This entire reality will eventually go to DEATH only to be born anew again and again he was there before the very first beginning and will carry on forever. But even though I go and see HIM a lot dad and Pere know I do through our parents to tot bond they call it blipping they feel the microsecond that I am outside of a universe with HIM in HIS home that is called the inbetween it is between reality and the afterlife and am mentally a lot older than anyone realises even older mentally than the Doctor and the Master put together. However, HE wants me to live within a universe because I have emotions and in a universe we feel, we emote, and I never want to forget that and neither does HE, HE want me to be happy but HE is also there for me it is as though at times HE knows how my life is going to go better than I do and I can see my own timeline which is massive, the first time I looked at it I was sick it is that long even the Master and the Doctor peeking into it made them fall over dizzy and I think the only reason they didn't throw up is because they had nothing to throw up in their stomachs I know they had to sit down and it gave them a massive headache trying to look at my timeline, it's why they don't mind me spending so much time with HIM and its why I call HIM Father we are one and the same in a sense I know how to use all of HIS powers or all of my powers but at such a young age unless I pull on HIS powers to give me more abilities I will have to grow into them and that will be slowly some of them scare me I know how to end a universe or even end reality but I'm not powerful enough on my own to do it I would have to use HIS powers but there would be no point one I would lose my dad and Pere and I love my dad's to bits as much as I love my Father and I would lose them if reality was ended and two all it would do is cause another one to form even leaving this universe at the moment, I could leave it whenever I wanted but I couldn't take my dad's with me so I'm looking in to reality travel so that all three of us can travel throughout the rest of this reality or at least travel throughout the universes that are still going throughout this reality some are so old that HE has already put them to death or the universes have already been cut as Father calls it. As I said I live within a universe and HE is happy about that HE wants me to investigate the universes I will eventually be able to travel throughout the whole of reality as both HIS SON and as a Time Lord I just want to be able to do it with my dad's as well so that they are with me for as long as they are prepared to be once they decide they no longer wish to live all I will have is my Father for eternity." Harry told him honestly.
"Doesn't it scare you living so long? I mean I'm worried and I was an adult and aged already when it happened to me?" asked Jack genuine curious.
"Yes as I said I'm terrified of being left with just my Father it is why I'm putting so much effort into being able to build a reality traveling TARDIS so that hopefully dad and Pere will want to come with me and at least travel throughout this reality for as long as they want to, Father always watches over me, HE always has but now I can also visit HIM as much as I want as I said, dad and Pere feel it through the bond that I've gone to see HIM and HE can bring me to HIM if he feels the need to and again they feel it the first time that dad and Pere knew about Father being in my life HE brought me to HIM but it wasn't for the normal microsecond that I am normally gone out of this universe for it was longer so both dad and Pere would know I was missing it made the three of us talk about Father. HE did it recently also to protect me and the planet but that was a blip as my dad's call it and if it falls under what we call my speciality I have a passphrase I can use on them so they know I know more about a situation than they do and I take over they follow my lead and do as I tell them to do if not then I am still their child and they tell me what to do as I said Father brought me to HIM recently and told me to use the passphrase to stop me destroying the earth and banned me from going on an adventure. Amy had a fiancé, there are cracks appearing all over the universe in Time and space he was lost to a crack the problem is he wasn't only lost he was wiped from history we can remember because of our brain makeup but she can't and never will, there will be little things that she can't explain that will make her know she has forgotten something important, but for the most part he's now gone from the timeline, it is as though he was never born, never lived and never died. Father stopped me interfering HE had the TARDIS lock herself down on me so I could only watch and cry. She was holding onto her memories of him and the TARDIS rattled as we were ascending the Earth when we were back on the surface of the planet it was all over, she had forgot him. Yet we never will the heartache that has been caused by him protecting the Doctor when he didn't need to but as I wasn't there because as I said Father banned me from going so I didn't destroy the earth with both you and Sirius still on it meant that Rory ended up first dying then being erased from existence." Harry explained what he felt and what had been going on.
"Arbitrator do you trust me?" asked Jack coming around the desk and swinging the chair around to look at him seriously.
"Yes Jack I aways will." Harry told him honestly.
"Why?" he asked a little shocked.
"Because you don't treat me as a child or teenager you treat me as my mental age is. Also you keep my existence a secret only you and Gwen know that I am Sirius' godson and you ordered your team when I met them that there was to be no mention of me in any reports of computer files it will ensure no one finds out about just who I am and that there are actually three Time Lords for Torchwood to keep their eye on you don't mind me coming into the Hub when Sirius is working and you ask me for my help where most people would just see a sixteen year old boy, you know what I can do from having travelled with the Doctor and so in a sense you treat me like him, I think that there is only you and Sirius other than my parents and Amy that know I am connected to DEATH and I know you would never tell anyone without asking my permission first even if it would get you out of serious trouble that is something I believe you would take to the grave this is the first time I have ever spoken to you about him and you never mentioned it until I threw a shield up so there is no way any of the new employees will find out about it, I bet even though Gwen knows I am the Masters and the Doctors son that she doesn't know I am also the SON of DEATH does she?" Harry told him then asked.
"No she doesn't the only reason the new staff know you are a Time Lord is because Sirius said it would be okay to tell them that and that you are the Masters and Doctors son. Anyway back to what I was asking if you trust me then know this Rory will return to you." Spoke Jack and with that announcement Harrys head shot up to look at him properly.
"Father said the same how do you know though?" Asked Harry.
"Before I was ever Torchwood, I was a Time agent from the far future as you know, we studied a lot for that position know he will be back." Jack told him.
"Father has never lied to me before, HE has kept things from me but HE has never lied to me and not over something like this HE knew how upsetting it would be for me losing him to be honest Rory and Amy are or in Rory's care were more like extended family than companions traveling with us we all get on really well with them or we did we still get on so well with Amy and now you say the same about Rory returning to us, but I can't tell dad or Pere, neither of us can Jack it would contaminate the timeline to much if we did Father would just stop me." Harry explained.
"Oh, I know Arbitrator but as I said Time agent, you will see me when you are older and he is back with you, we meet again but that is my past your future but know that I'm being honest." Jack spoke with such sadness and understanding.
"Now I'm intrigued but timeline contamination. So, what else have you been up to?" Asked Harry.
"Just the usual actually, trying to carry on here without Ianto I didn't realise how much I would miss him." Spoke Jack.
"I am sorry over that, why did you never tell us or get Sirius to phone us as soon as they had returned. You know we would have come it was children. We will never say no to children! We would have put a stop to them." Harry told him.
"I couldn't they blew up the hub Sirius had to leave his phone and I was blown apart once I was back together we had no way of contacting you and to be truthful it was my original mess to clean up, I was with Torchwood when they agreed to the children the first time in nineteen sixty five it was twelve children between the age of five and eleven and the higher ups weighed it against the planet loosing around twenty five million people. Once they came back and demanded ten percent of the children worldwide and the governments actually agreed to it, I couldn't let that happen. The world would have gone mad with grief over losing so many children and it wouldn't have been the ones calling the shots that lost their children but the average citizen of earth, but I had to weigh that against them destroying the planet. It could have been the end one way or the other, no one wanting more children in case they came back for them or species four five six destroying the world. I had to stop them from being able to do either taking the children or destroying the earth I'm just sorry I lost Ianto and my grandson. First Owen then Tosh, now Ianto, my own daughter will no longer talk to me because the only way to stop them was to use my own grandson to destroy them and as awful as it sounds, I had to make a call one child against ten percent of the world's population of children between the ages of five and eleven." Jack informed him going sad at the end.
"That's the problem with immortality Jack, all it is, is outliving everyone else all those you love. It's more of a curse at times I know before the Doctor found the Master and me he was starting to feel it especially having to fight in the Time War and being separated from the Master then thinking he was all alone when he couldn't find me, being back with the Master and now they have me back with them, it's different when you have people to walk with you along the song of the universe." Harry told him.
"Song?" Asked Jack looking confused.
"Look up the free planet of the Ood, when you start to travel again, they are telepathic, in their background, there is a song they hear, they all hear it, they believe it is the song of the universe, it can be so heart wrenching yet also so glorious, truly a symbiotic relationship with each other." Harry explained to him.
"The Ood use to be slaves, I know that much but they were freed, I didn't know they sang though." Spoke Jack looking confused now.
"The Doctor and Master with an old companion stopped them being slaves. But they are a true telepathic race their song is one of wonder, when you travel go and see them ask if you can listen to it tell them we sent you to hear their song. It will change you, Jack. That much I can guarantee." Harry explained to Jack what had gone on in general terms.
"Sounds interesting. So, what are you going to do about the TARDIS?" Spoke Jack next leaning back in his chair now the serious conversation was out of the way.
"I'll tell Sirius the truth he was close with the people who took me in but with them passing I still see him, as awful as this sounds he is the only connection to Earth that would need our help to leave it you would be able to find a way to leave even if your Vortex Manipulator isn't working fully. If anything did happen I would just move Sirius to one of our protected planets to live in luxury he knew I was being hidden and still cared about me even after those hiding me died so he is one person I will aways be there for if he needs me just like I would help you if you ever need it, I'll stay the rest of the two weeks with him here then jump forward if they are not back lucky the Doctor or the Master can drop me a message of when they are done through our parental bond. I can cope with Sirius for a couple of weeks but he can be high maintenance and that is saying something with us having to keep Pere level headed, they were only meant to be back a day and then they were coming to pick me up at the end of the week jumping forward to collect me so I could spend some time with Sirius as I've not seen him for the last three months, I love Sirius, but I'll be bored senseless for more than two weeks here I've finished off Disney world years ago now I need a new planet for fun though dads is good for a break." Harry told him, Jack knew they had taken Sirius for three months there but brought him straight back the same day. Jack didn't know it was because his dad and Pere had found out that he was actually the SON of DEATH.
"Hold on your dad has a holiday planet?" Jack asked shocked.
"Yes and no, there is a planet out there called Floxum that he saved and then transformed into a high society, but they rely on tourism, it's got bioforming, games, rides, adventures, sports and no one there lives in squalor, they are all educated to the best dad could offer them which is high and no one is left out they work together as a world for the betterment of them all dad ensured it all worked for them and that they are all truly happy. The only thing that dad asked for doing all that for them and his protection, was to be able to use the place to relax if he needed to. So, we occasionally go, the longest was the first time and that took two years it was just after they had tracked me down, dad wanted to show what he had done to both me and Pere they have a relationship older than some civilisations our original planet is older than this entire solar system, so we go and see them. I actually get on really well with them all, they live in harmony with the planet rather than trying to dominate it like other planets including those living here do." Harry explained Floxum to Jack.
They continued to talk the afternoon away while the others worked out in the main hub then it was time for them to leave. So, Harry and Sirius went home that was when Harry confronted him about the infinity formula on his mobile and put it onto Sirius' new one for him, the rest of the week passed slowly even though Harry went back to torchwood on the Thursday then he and Sirius went around Cardiff on the weekend Sirius taking it off with Jacks permission so they could spend more time together and Sirius could find out what Harry had been up to as he had not seen him for the last three months which was actually before they lost Rory to Harry on the Wednesday of the second week they finally turned up as Harry was watching the news on BBC twenty four.
"Eleven days to sort out the fact that I have repeatedly told you if you are going to turn the navigator off to bloody isolate it from the main console and not to leave the breaks on do you now see why Pere?" Asked Harry upset with him.
"Okay so I forgot to isolate it." Spoke the Doctor which wound up Harry even more he was on his feet looking at the Doctor.
"Do not lie to me! You did it to see what it would do, after I have told you in no uncertain terms on this console unit to not do it if you are going to leave the breaks on, it wouldn't work but you had to go and see why. You have driven her for over thirty thousand years and still you mess around with her. She is near perfect now for our needs please Pere, please stop messing with her for the fun of it. We get enough adventure out there without trying to mess sexy up!" Harry had a go at him over this latest stunt.
"I'm sorry son, I know, I wanted to know why you harped so much on about it" Started the Doctor.
"It was my idea." Spoke the Master and Harry looked at him.
"I didn't know what it would do not isolating the navigator and leaving the breaks on but I thought it would be funny to find out and give you a laugh, you needed one you've been down recently and it's been coming through the bond we thought it was because you haven't seen Sirius in so long so we thought that you could go and see him and give you something to laugh at while you were here. We won't do that again and we will listen when you explain a new console unit in future, we may ask more questions though next time in all honestly. This one is useless as a human but good at football. Also, a nosy sod in other people relationships which for once helped but he is an utter klutz at human relations, I don't know if its rule one or if he really is this bad!" spoke the Master explaining the truth.
"I saw the timeline as you moved in, Jack and I were in stitches. What I don't understand is, why you didn't just ask me? If you re-connect the navigator or even resale the breaks, she will land then I could have gone to her and picked her back up no matter where or when she was." Harry told them.
"Now you tell me eleven days of fading in and out and its one button?" Demanded Amy.
"Actually, the other time machine stopped that even re-connecting the navigator or taking the breaks off wouldn't have worked with that one trying to power up as well, they were affecting each other it's only when we made it want to remain that it shut down and faded out." Spoke the Master and when Harry heard about the other time machine he was nodding.
"It could have counteracted the navigator even connected with the breaks on maybe, if it hadn't been done at first there would have been no problem but to do it near to the other would cause all sorts of confusion for her, no wonder she didn't want to permanently materialise. I left from our living room you to must have left as she was materialised and then she would have been gone again just as quickly." Agreed Harry with them he had put this console unit together himself.
"Yes, we thought you had popped back and borrowed her, it's why we walked around and then we realised it wasn't you and you were in fact on Earth, that's when this one panicked. It's a good job the new console unit allows for conversations over speakers if we need them." Spoke the Master agreeing.
"As I said nearly perfect now. Both of you stop messing with the console unit or do it while I'm there please or just ask sexy first. How did you not see losing the TARDIS in the timeline?" Explained then asked Harry.
"We were talking about things and got caught up while alone and well we didn't really keep an eye on the timeline, we're on Earth." Spoke the Doctor in indignation at the end as though because they were on Earth everything would be okay.
"I really wish you would have told me you disconnected the navigator while leaving the breaks on you know sexy will go to problems in the timeline she doesn't like. She probably had a good laugh at your three expenses over this." Snigged Harry at them all.
