Megan sat cross-legged on Elena's bed along with Elena. It had been a few days since Stefan got stuck in the tomb and she hated that she couldn't do anything to get him out. She was getting antsy having him in there while she was just sitting him doing nothing. It was irritating to say the least.
Bonnie was in the room too, and she had a hold of the stupid moonstone. The very thing that got Stefan stuck in the tomb with Katherine, Demetria, and Abigail. Megan couldn't help but glare hatefully at it. It wasn't just the moonstone she was mad at; she was mad at Bonnie, Jeremy, and Damon for going with this stupid plan in the first place. Megan was a little mad at Stefan for it too, but not nearly as much as she was at the other three.
Charlene wasn't with them as she had spent the night at Damon's house. She was glad they weren't fighting anymore but she still wished her best friend was mad at Damon too. However with them being together now, she guessed she couldn't blame her for not being mad. Megan's thoughts were broken when Elena spoke up and she looked at her best friend's sister.
"Now that you've got this back, what are you going to do with it?" Elena wondered.
"Right now, it's what binding the Sun and Moon curse. If I can find a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless."
Elena frowned, taking the moonstone from Bonnie, and looking down at it. "And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful."
"If he finds out." Bonnie pointed out.
Megan uncrossed her legs and stood up from the bed. "This isn't Hercules, Bonnie." She said sarcastically. "As fun as this conversation is, do we have to focus on this now? If you've forgotten, Stefan is stuck in the tomb. I rather concentrate on finding out a way to get him out of it and not this stupid plan that may or may not work."
"Stefan wants me to focus on this."
"I really don't care want he wants, Bonnie! I just want him back."
Bonnie gave her a look. "I'm taking Stefan's side with this one." She told her, and Megan huffed at her. "We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual. Same goes with Elena and Charlene. It's not going to happen."
Megan groaned, tossing herself back on Elena's bed. She covered her eyes with her arm.
"What are you guys arguing about?" She heard Jeremy's voice as he came into the room. She removed her arm from her eyes and propped herself up with her elbows as she stayed on the bed.
Bonnie took the moonstone from Elena. "We're not arguing about anything." She told Jeremy, exchanging a look with him as she snuffed the moonstone in her bag. She turned to her sister and flashed Megan a look. In response, she rolled her eyes, earning a sigh from her sister. "I need a coffee." She walked out of the room and Jeremy looked at Megan and Elena.
"What?" Megan protested.
"Why are you guys are a suicide mission?"
"We're trying to prevent everyone else from getting hurt." Elena was the one to answer Jeremy's question.
He scoffed in response. "Oh, so bringing Klaus the moonstone so you guys can get yourselves killed is okay?" He shook his head and left the room, leaving the two alone.
"Ugh, I hate this." Megan groaned, sitting up finally. "Why don't they get that we're doing this to protect them? It's so frustrating!"
"I know." Elena agreed. "But we don't have to sit here and let them go through with this." She went over to Bonnie's bag and dug out the moonstone from it, flashing Megan a grin.
She couldn't help but smirk at this. "Oooh, I love the way you think!" She grabbed her car keys and stood up. "Let's go."
With that, they left the room to sneak out of the house. However, they didn't expect Bonnie already heading up the stairs as they started to go down.
"Where are you guys going?" She questioned them.
"Uh, nowhere." Megan answered as Elena hid the moonstone behind her back. Seeing the look on Bonnie's face, she groaned. "Okay, you caught us. We're going to see Stefan and make sure Katherine, Demetria, and Abigail haven't killed him yet especially Demetria."
"You're lying." Bonnie said bluntly.
Megan scoffed. "No, I'm not." She pouted at her sister. "You know, I would never lie to you, Bon-Bon."
"You should tell that to your face."
Megan gaped at her. "Bonnie."
Her sister didn't say anything else as Jeremy appeared at the top of the stairs, holding onto Bonnie's bag. "They took the moonstone."
Elena turned her head around to look at her brother, wide eyed. "How did you…?"
"We tested you two and you guys failed." Bonnie gave them a sad smile.
"Bonnie, you know I never do good at tests!" Megan protested, looking irritated.
Elena had the same irritated look on her face. "Klaus killed the Pierce sister's entire family just because they crossed him." She said, crossing her arms. "We aren't going to let that happen to you guys."
"Exactly, why can't you guys get that through your heads?" Megan huffed, glaring at Jeremy and Bonnie.
They said nothing as Bonnie stepped aside to let them leave. Megan shared a surprised look with Elena, but they finished their way down the stairs. Elena opened the door so they could leave. However whenever they tried to go past the threshold, it was like there was an invisible barrier blocking their path.
"What the hell?!" Megan exclaimed as she tried to push through the barrier.
"What did you do?" Elena demanded, looking over at Bonnie.
"It's for the best, Elena and Megan." She said simply as she glanced over at Jeremy. He was smiling.
Megan tried again to get through, but it was no use. She grew aggravated, unable to believe they were doing this to do, and she wondered if Charlene was in the same predicament.
Charlene was planning on sneaking out of the boarding house to meet up with Megan and Elena so they could try and go through with their plan yet again. Luckily, Damon was out of the house at the moment, so she was able to leave the bedroom without having to worry about running into her boyfriend.
She fixed her bag over her shoulder and headed downstairs. Feeling giddy that she was going to get away with this, Charlene went to the front door and opened it. Like Megan and Elena, she tried to get outside but there was a barrier, preventing her from doing so.
"What the…?" She tried to get out again. The barrier was too strong though.
Just then, Damon appeared outside.
"Damon, what the hell is this?!" Charlene demanded.
He smirked at her. "I figured you would try to leave again, so I had Bonnie put up a barrier spell to keep you inside. Don't worry, you aren't the only one."
"You can't do this!"
"Oh yes I can, especially if it keeps you from doing something stupid." Damon waggled his fingers at her. "Have fun in there." He started to leave, and Charlene banged her fists on the barrier.
"Come on! This isn't funny. Just let me out of here, Day!" He flashed her another smirk before using his vampire speed to get out of there. "DAMON SALVAORE!"
Stefan shook his head at his brother as Damon explained what he did. "You trapped them in the house?" He stared him as his older brother stood outside of the tomb's entrance.
Damon shrugged. "It's for the best." He told Stefan. "Trust me, those girls are on a martyr tear that rivals your greatest hits. You should be glad the witch and I are getting along. I brought you this." He held up a bag. "Care package: candles, lanterns, and lunch." Pulling out a bottle of blood, he showed it to Stefan with a smirk.
Stefan appreciated the thought, but knew he couldn't take the blood. "Give that to me and I'm just gonna have to share it with them."
Damon looked at Katherine and Demetria, who weren't standing too far away. Neither was Abigail. The blonde vampire actually decided to make an appearance and she tried to meet Damon's gaze, but he wouldn't look at her.
"Right…" Damon said as if he had forgotten they were even in there.
"You two are surprisingly calm, considering Klaus will hunt you down and kill you if you mess with his little plan." Katherine commented.
"As vindictive as Klaus is, that will definitely happen." Demetria added.
Damon didn't look bothered. "I've been dead before I got over it." The doppelgangers rolled their eyes, but he ignored it as he turned to look at Stefan. "Once we deal with this moonstone, we'll figure out a way to get you out of here."
"Don't worry about me." Stefan said, "Just make sure the girls are safe."
Damon nodded. He finally glanced over at Abigail, but it was just for a brief minute before he left with the bottle of blood in his hand.
Abigail sighed, disappearing back inside the tomb, missing the look Stefan was giving her.
Megan joined Elena in the living room with her phone to her ear. Charlene was on the other end, complaining about what happened.
"I am so mad at him!" she fumed over the phone loudly. "I can't believe he did this!"
"You shouldn't be surprised." Megan pointed out, rolling her eyes. "After what happened last time, of course he's not going to let you leave and get yourself killed. But still, it's such a dick move." She sat down on the couch next to Elena, propping her legs on the table in front of them. "There's nothing we can do now. We're stuck in here."
"I'm going to be bored out of my mind. If he had to trap me, why couldn't he trap me with you guys?"
"Well, you decided to stay the night over at the boarding house."
"Trust me, I'm regretting that decision." Charlene grumbled.
"Try to make the most of it. You could always get back at him by raiding his blood supply and his alcohol." Megan suggested. As soon as she did, she had a feeling Charlene was now smirking at the other end of the phone.
"Good idea! I'll talk to you later." Her best friend hung up the phone, and Megan looked over at Elena.
"How's she doing?" Her cousin asked.
"Good as she can be. Pissed off at Damon, of course."
Elena shook her head, smiling. "Of course."
"You should really lock your door." Megan and Elena looked up to see Damon standing in their living room, smirking, and they glared at him. He simply smiled at them, saying nothing for a moment. "Oh, come on, don't pout. At least give me two points for ingenuity."
"Haha, you're hilarious." Megan said sarcastically.
Elena's glare at Damon got even more heated if that was possible. "Do you think this funny?"
"Yes Elena. I find hilarity in the lengths I have to go through to repeatedly save you, Megan, and Charlene."
"Who by the way is completely pissed off at you." Then in a sing song voice, Megan said, "Looks like someone isn't getting lucky tonight."
Damon rolled his eyes. "She'll get over it, and no one can say no to this." He gestured to himself, smirking.
It was Megan's turn to roll her eyes. "So, what did Stefan say to what you did?" Knowing him, he probably didn't agree with Damon's methods.
"We had a good laugh." Damon said.
Megan doubted that. "What about Elijah being alive?" she asked. "Unless you didn't tell him about that."
Damon sat down next to her, putting his arm around her. At first, Megan nearly jerked away, surprised at his action but after a moment, she relaxed.
"Yeah, no, I didn't tell him about that."
"Why not?" Elena asked him.
"Well, A: he can't do anything; and B: what I just said."
Megan shook her head, but she didn't comment. She figured he didn't tell Stefan about that part. Her boyfriend had enough to worry about. Jeremy entered the room and sat down in the love seat.
"Where is Bonnie?" Damon questioned, looking over at Elena and Charlene's brother.
"I thought she was meeting you."
"No, she's on moonstone duty and I'm on Elena and Megan duty."
"What about Charlene?"
"Yeah, I'm gonna avoid going over there. She's pissed off at me."
Jeremy snorted. "What else is new?" Damon ignored that. "Oh, and what about Tyler Lockwood? Who's taking care of that?"
"Vampire Barbie…" Megan rose an eyebrow at the new nickname Damon gave Caroline. "asked me if she could handle it, and I said, why not? Figured if she screwed up, he'll bite her, and I'll be rid of two of my problems."
At this, Megan nudged Damon hard in the side. "Hey, that's my friend your talking about."
He shrugged her off.
"Hold on a second." Elena said with wide eyes, "Tonight's the full moon?"
Damon's phone rang. "Yep, but you, Megan, and Charlene were too absorbed with all your suicidal tendencies to notice." Elena gaped at him as he stood up and answered the phone, putting it to his ear while he left the living room to talk in private. He wasn't gone for too long and returned. "Change of plans. You baby sit." He said to Jeremy, making Megan wonder what was going on.
Jeremy got onto the couch, and rested his body across Megan and Elena's legs, resting his head in his sister's lap.
"Hey, you know, you should get out, enjoy the sun." Damon said, but then he smirked. "Oh wait, you can't."
Megan grabbed one of the pillows on the couch and threw it at Damon, but the bastard dodged it. He smirked again, leaving out the door.
"Dick!" Megan shouted after him. Glancing down at Jeremy, who was laughing at their expense, she huffed as she shoved him off their legs and onto the floor. "Oh shut up, Jer!"
He only laughed again, and Megan glowered down at him. This day couldn't get any worse.
Inside the tomb, Stefan was on one of the benches in the tomb, and was laying down on it. He was so hungry, but he was hoping trying to get some sleep would help him from focusing on that. He nearly got there. Unfortunately, Demetria's annoying voice interrupted his sleep.
"You know you don't have to starve yourself for our sake, Stefan." Demetria said with a pout. Stefan ignored her but she continued to talk to him, "I'm curious how long have you gone without blood before…probably not enough to know what it's really like to start desiccating. You might understand the theory of it, but actually experiencing it is very different. The pain is excruciating."
Stefan got up, and glared at her. "The pleasure I'll get from watching you suffer is greater than any pain I'll ever feel."
"Always so mean to me." Demetria pouted. "I know you're upset about being here and being away from your precious Megan." She sneered out Megan's name. "But you don't have to take it out on me." She tugged on the dress she had been wearing since being stuck in here. "This dress is getting so annoying." She groaned, but then she smirked, turning her body so her back to Stefan, and she looked over at him from over her shoulder. "Would you mind helping me out of it, Stef? I would really appreciate it." Seeing the look on his face, she pouted yet again. "You don't have to be so grumpy. Fine, I'll take it off myself." She zipped down the zipper of the dress before stepping out of it, leaving her in her pink panty and bra set. "We might as well have some fun in here especially if we are going to be here together for a while…"
Stefan nearly made a face at her.
Demetria turned to face him and strutted over to him until she was standing so close to him. "Come on, I know you want to." She whispered huskily. "Just think…we can do anything you want to in here and no one would ever have to know what happened…not even Megan." She leaned in towards him.
Stefan found himself moving forward and kissing her passionately. Demetria smirked as she pulled off his shirt over his head. In response, he pushed her against the wall of the tomb, starting to kiss up and down her neck and his hands explored her body. Demetria moaned as he moved their position, so she was laying down on the bench Stefan had been on.
Suddenly, Stefan woke up with a gasp, quickly sitting up. He looked over at Demetria as she smirked at him. Stefan growled at her.
"Stay out of my head." He said through gritted teeth.
Demetria's smirk only widened. "Ohh, I could get used to this."
Abigail appeared out of the shadows and flashed Demetria a look. "Why don't you just leave him alone? It's tough enough being in here, don't make it worse for him by bothering him."
"Why don't you stay out of it?" Demetria glared at her sister. "What I do with Stefan is done of your damn business." Abigail just ignored her, and she growled under her breath before she stomped away.
Abigail glanced over at Stefan, and he found himself smiling at her in thanks.
"Thanks for that."
"No problem." The blonde said quietly, and she went to leave, but Stefan stopped her.
"You don't have to leave." He told her.
Abigail looked surprised, but she managed a small smile. "Okay…" He sat back on the bench, and she joined him.
