A nose, sniffing around to find something of significance. A peanut is what the nose finds. The owner of the said nose was Hashi Sparrow, he was not wearing his brown coat nor his brown hat. He was sitting in the middle of The Fire Shadow. Hashi put a bib around his neck after putting the peanut onto a plate. Hashi stabbed the peanut with a fork and just before it reached his mouth a gunshot could be heard.

Another Hashi wearing both his hat and jacket blew the smoke off of his pistol and claimed the other Hashi's peanut, "My peanut." He tossed it into his mouth and crunched on it. "Haul halyard. Slacken braces!" Hashi yelled to his crew, which was himself wearing different attire and with their own quirks.

The deck was now full of Sparrows as they all rushed to their assigned stations. One Hashi lay on the deck just staring into the sky. One Hashi laid an egg, no matter how unlikely it was. And one Hashi tried flirting with a goat.

A group of Sparrows untied the sails and let them flow freely.

As the real Hashi walked along the deck he stopped in front of a shirtless Hashi who was struggling with a tack line, "Mr. Sparrow?"

The shirtless Hashi turned around, "Aye, Cap'n."

"What say you about the condition of this tack line?"

The shirtless Hashi looked at the rope, "It be proper to my eye, sir."

"Proper?" Hashi walked over to the tack line, "It is neither proper nor suitable, sir. It is not acceptable nor adequate. It is in fact, an abomination." He undid the tack line and threw the rope at the shirtless Hashi.

"Begging your pardon, sir, but if you gave a man another chance."

"Did Madara ever give us a second chance? No. She was right in doing so. We have only ever caused pain and misery. Tobirama had a perfect life with his perfect daughter and wife before we muddied it all up. Madara had her whole life ahead of her before we became romantical, and she became a reaper full of hate and spite. And lastly Obito, he could've been normal had we not arrived at Port Konoha and told him about his father. Sure he wouldn't have had the confidence to propose to our niece but maybe it would be for the better." Sparrow unsheathed his sword and stabbed the shirtless version of himself. "We deserve the torment Madara is putting us through."

He shoved the Hashi off of his sword and wiped it on a rope. "We have lost speed and, therefore, time. Precious time, which cannot be recovered once lost. Do you understand?"

Hashi's doppelgangers replied, "Aye, aye, captain."

"Do you now? It will all have to be redone. All of it." Hashi turned around and saw no more versions of himself, they were all gone. He continued talking to nothing and no one, "And let this serve as a lesson to the lot of you. Doldrums, sir, has the entire crew on edge. I have no sympathy for any of you feculent maggots, and no more patience to pretend otherwise."

Sparrow jumped on top of a cannon and then the railing to a rope, he turned around to look at his ship. "Gentlemen, I wash my hands of this weirdness." He slid down the rope.

He landed on a white endless sea of desert, Hashi licked his finger and held it into the air. "No wind. Of course, there's no bloody wind." He began walking in many different directions whilst talking to himself, "My soul I do swear for a breeze. Gust. Whisper. A tiny, miniature lick." Hashi stopped, sniffing, smelling something. He looked at the ground and saw a rock. Hashi picked up the rock and threw it like a stone skipping over a river.

He continued talking to himself, "Yes, sir, I know, but why? Why would he do that? Because he's a lummox, isn't he? ...We shall have a magnificent garden party and you're not invited." He laughed to himself in his delirious state. He stopped, feeling some kind of uneasiness he turned around and saw another rock behind him. He moved his hands, "Shoo." He was about to walk away but turned around to confirm the stone wasn't following him. He picked it up, "A rock." He licked it and shuddered from the pure salt on his tongue.

He threw the stone once again and continued speaking to himself of past memories. "Excuse me Miss, but is this seat taken? I'd hate to intrude on you but everywhere else seems to be taken..." He smiled and placed his hand for a handshake but there was no one to accept it, "The name's Hashirama. I'm new to... ...this place." He shook his hand with the air, "I'm not much of a drinker because I don't know what's considered good... Rum? Well, I ought to try it."

Hashi turned around, "You're sure? You'd allow me to join your crew?" Hashi smiled as he bowed, "Thank you Cap'n."

He walked a little bit toward The Fire Shadow mimicking a poor attempt at tying something, "Captain, are you sure this is proper? I can't tie a knot... Well, if you insist... You know I haven't seen a woman captain before, 'specially not one of your caliber. You're not a witch are you?" He chuckled before having an apologetic expression, "Sorry, I didn't think of that as an insult. I'll mind my tongue next time."

Hashi fell over onto the ground and looked up, "All that's up there are places all like this one, but not all of it has life. Each star represents another galaxy... ...A god's duty is to the universe, not the people. That's what my mother says at least, but I don't agree. A god should be doing all they can for their people, not passively watch as they suffer and fight amongst themselves. I want to create real change through my experience here on Earth, see what it's like, and help accordingly... ...Well, I guess you could see it like that. Rebellion against my mother... I'm sure you probably didn't have to deal with a parent telling you what your life should be without asking... ...Oh, I didn't know. Well, at least you've made something for yourself. Something your father can't take away from you..." Hashirama looked to his left, "Has anyone mentioned how beautiful your eyes are? ...What, no one? Now that's just not right. You, Madara Uchiha are the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes upon... ...Is something wrong with your face? Your face is red."

Sparrow stood back up, "Oh, Mara, you look ravishing tonight... ...What? I thought I picked out nice clothes that complimented me too..." Hashi began laughing, "You don't know how to dance and you were the daughter of some high-ranking official... ...I guess we'll learn together... Shall we dance?" He began dancing horribly, tripping over his own feet.

Sparrow after tripping on his feet enough fell onto his arse, with his back to the ship's hull he turned to his left, "You want to give me a ship of my own? I suppose if I were to be a captain I had already learned enough from the best... ...But what shall I call it?" Hashi tapped on his chin, "Ooh, how about the Uchiha's shadow?"

Hashi slumped into an aura of depression, "Not even creative. You said the first thing that you could see... ...Oh, come on. A lantern, really?" Hashi then pondered it, "You know, it doesn't sound too bad. Though it's not The Perfect Susanoo..." He laughed and then looked at nothing, "I'll miss you, Mara. I'll write a letter every week so as you won't forget me. I love you." Hashi looked like he kissed the air.

He bonked his head up against the ship's hull, he held his forehead in pain. Sparrow looked around not recognizing where he was until it hit him, "Oh..." Hashi stood up and saw a rope hanging from The Fire Shadow and he pulled it down, he tried pulling The Fire Shadow across the endless sea of sand but to no avail. He heard the sound of clicking to his right, he saw the stone that he'd thrown earlier had turned into a crab clicking its claws together. Sparrow fell over onto his back and closed his eyes thinking it was all just a bad dream.

The crab seeing that Hashi gave up communicated with its fellow crabs to help him move The Fire Shadow, the sheer number of crabs were innumerable as they bulldozed their way underneath the ship and moved it. Hashi now feeling a shadow cast over him, he opened his eyes and sat up, seeing The Fire Shadow was now moving on its own. Hashi stood up and watched amazed and also baffled. Several seconds after the ship had already passed him he ran after it.

Zabuza washed ashore along with the rest of his group and Tenzo's crew. Their ship was destroyed in the fall, and only bits and pieces littered the beach.

Saru coughed up water as he walked up the beach and looked around, "This truly is a godforsaken place."

Kakashi stood next to him, "I don't see Hashi. I don't see anyone."

Zabuza walked forward, water dripping from his hat, "He's here. Madara Uchiha never once gave up that what she took."

Obito held his head to the side letting water flow out of his ear, "And does it matter? We're trapped here by your doing. No different than Hashi."

Konan held a stone crab next to her face as she rubbed its back, "Witty Hashi is closer than you think." She looked over a dune of sand waiting for something to appear.

Everyone looked off into the distance now seeing something moving, it was a ship. Everyone's jaws dropped as they saw Hashi standing on top of a sail holding onto a hitch as the ship sailed over sand and slid down the hill of sand until reaching the sea. Tenzo watched The Fire Shadow not knowing if what he'd seen was real, "Impossible."

Yahiko pointed to The Fire Shadow, "Boat."

Sarutobi laughed, "Slap me thrice and hand me to me mama. It's Hashi." He along with Yahiko, Nagato, Shikamaru, Touka, and Yagura ran to the longboat that Hashi took to get to the beach. Hashi walked all wobbly on the beach. Nagato yelled out, "It's the captain!"

Mr. Saru yelled out, "A sight for sore eyes! Hashi!" He stopped right in front of Hashi in a line.

"Mr. Saru!"

"Aye, Cap'n." Saru stood straight.

Hashi looked him in the eye, "I thought so. I expect you're able to account for your actions, then."

Saru looked at him confused, "Sir?"

"There's been a perpetual and virulent lack of discipline upon my vessel. Why? Why is that, sir?" He yelled out annoyed.

Saru looked around and back to him, "Sir, you're... You're in Madara's locker, Cap'n."

Hashi's top lip twitched as he looked around, "I know that. I know where I am. And don't think I don't."

Zabuza wasn't the happiest to see Hashi but he needed him and his piece of eight for the rest of the plan to come to pass. He said, "Hashi Sparrow."

Hashi looked at Zabuza and smiled, "Ah, Hector. It's been far too long. Hasn't it?"

"Aye. Shisha no Shima, remember? You shot me."

Hashi shook his head and smiled, "No, I didn't." Without another word, Hashi continued down the line, "Konan, out and about, eh? You add an agreeable sense of the macabre to any delirium." Konan didn't really know how to react to Hashi's words so she just smiled.

Obito announced why Hashi was acting strange-er, "He thinks we're a hallucination."

Sparrow walked down the line to him, "Obito, tell me something: Have you come because you need my help to save a certain distressing damsel, or rather, damsel in distress? Either one."

"No."

"Well, then, you wouldn't be here, would you? So you can't be here. Q.E.D., you're not really here."

Kakashi pushed her way through some of Tenzo's men, "Hashi."

He turned to her voice and he felt guilty about taking the easy way out, he could've stayed in the land of the living and fight his mother's oppression but he didn't, no, couldn't. He was no longer the same man who could face down an armada of ships without even flinching, the same man who was insane enough to escape using a crane, the same man who was willing to do anything for the sake of freedom, his freedom. He was brought back to reality by his niece's words, "This is real. We're here."

Hashi turned around and walked all the way to Sarutobi. He asked, "The locker, you say?"

"Aye."

Kakashi walked and followed him, "We've come to rescue you."

"Have you, now? That's very kind of you. But it would seem that as I possess a ship and you don't, you're the ones in need of rescuing and I'm not sure as I'm in the mood."

Zabuza said as he pointed to The Fire Shadow, "I see my ship. Right there."

Hashi looked in the direction. He used his hand to shield his eyes from sunlight, "Can't spot it. Must be a tiny little thing hiding somewhere behind The Shadow."

Obito, Kakashi, and Konan all walked up to Hashi.

"Hashi, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki has the heart of Madara. She controls The Perfect Susanoo." Obito said.

"She's taking over the seas," Kakashi held onto Sparrow's arm.

"The song has been sung. The Brethren Court is called." Konan said.

Hashi walked forward to his longboat, "Leave you people alone for a minute, look what happens. Everything's gone to pot."

"Aye. Hashi. The world needs you back something fierce." Mr. Saru said.

"And you need a crew," Obito said, stopping Sparrow in his tracks.

Hashi turned around, "Why should I sail with any of you? Four of you have tried to kill me in the past. Only I succeeded." Hashi walked up to Konan, "As for you..."

"Now... don't tell me you didn't enjoy those visions of your past back then." She said.

Sparrow smiled remembering the concoctions Konan made for him to remember his better memories, ones that included pleasure. He smiled, "Fair enough. All right, you're in."

Hashi began walking down the line starting with Kakashi, "You're family so you get a pass." Then on to Yahiko, "Don't need you. You scare me." He looked at Saru, "Saru, you can come." He looked at Yagura, "Yagura." He made a grunt of disgust when looking at Nagato. Then Touka, "I guess you can come." Then to Shikamaru, "Shikamaru. Maru's parrot, I'm a little iffy, but at least I'll have someone to talk to." He continued and stopped not recognizing Tenzo and his crew, "And who are you?"

"Tenzo. And these are my men."

"Where do your allegiances lie?"

"With the highest bidder."

"I have a ship."

"That makes you the highest bidder."

"Good man. Weigh anchor, all hands. Prepare to make sail." Hashi pulled out his compass, but it wouldn't stop spinning. He closed it as Zabuza said, "Which way you going, Hashi." He smiled while tapping on the charts.

Hashi twitched his lip in irritation.
