Mac groans as she is pulled into consciousness by the consistent knocking on her door. She presses her face further into her pillow, before she uses her arms to push her body off her bed. When she got home last night, she didn't bother to do anything other than strip down to her underwear and bra and collapse on her bed. After they wrapped up in San Diego, they were immediately sent to Wyoming to investigate a series of brutal murders. They were able to deliver a profile, catch the unsub, and head home within a couple of days, but still Mac was exhausted.
"Ok!" Mac shouts towards her front door, as she drags herself out of bed. She finds discarded sweatpants and pulls them on before shuffling to her front door. She pulls it open and sees Morgan standing there with too coffee cups and a smile.
"Well, well. I've been calling." Morgan says, watching Mac knit her eyebrows together before turning back to look inside her loft. She turns back to look at Morgan before tuning on her heels and heading to the coffee table in the living room. She picks up her phone to realize it's dead before cursing herself and plugging it in. Morgan walks into her loft, shutting the door. Morgan watches her shuffle back over before handing the cup to her. Mac takes it with a silent thank you before taking a sip.
"Do we have a case?" Mac asks, walking to her bedroom to find a shirt.
"No. You left right from the airfield last night, I didn't get a chance to talk to you." Morgan says, before finding a seat on his friends couch. Mac comes out of her bedroom in black jeans and a simple grey t shirt. Mac's bare feet hit the hardwood floors as she makes her way over to her friend with her coffee in her hand.
"Yea, that was on purpose." Mac says before plopping down besides her friend. She sighs, taking a long sip of her coffee.
"Why? You didn't want to talk to me." Morgan says with a smile, his tone joking. But when Mac didn't respond, Morgan's smile faded. Realization washed over Morgan as he watches the emotions play across her face.
"It's not me you didn't want to talk to." Morgan stated. Mac doesn't respond, instead she just sips her coffee. "Have you talked to her? JJ?" Morgan asks and after a long moment, Mac shakes her head.
"If I don't talk to her, she can't break up with me." Mac laughs dryly.
"You can avoid her, but the truth is you don't know until you actually talk to her." Morgan says. His words hang in the air as the two friends continue to drink their coffee in silence.
"The kid seems to be doing ok. He was acting normal in Wyoming." Derek says after a few minutes of silence. "…Well normal for Reid." Morgan chuckles out.
"Yea." Mac responds simply. Silence engulfs the friends again, and for a while they enjoyed it. It wasn't often that their lives were anything less than on the go, so when silence was available; they took it.
"Tell me you watched the Bears game last week." Morgan says, the silence between them becoming unenjoyable. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss his best friend. She had been almost unavailable since the shooting, and now that he knows she has been in therapy for it, he feels as if maybe it was him that had been unavailable for her.
"Yea, it was embarrassing. I think I'm starting to regret being a fan." Mac chuckles, earning a hearty laugh from Morgan. Morgan turns his head to look at her.
"Tonight after work, we are going to the bar." Morgan says confidently. Mac turns her head to see her friends brown eyes shining back at her. Mac chuckles before bringing her cup to her lips and sipping the warm liquid.
"Ok you got me. Why?" Mac says after a moment for waiting for her friend to explain.
"Well first things first…"
"Here we go." Mac says with a chuckle doing nothing but encouraging her friend with her banter.
"I'm going to get you drunk." Morgan starts as his phone buzzes in his pants. He taps the outside, searching for his phone quickly before pulling it out and looking at it. Mac stands up from her couch, walking around her loft, gathering her things for the day.
"…and then you're going to march your stubborn ass over to your girl, and.." Morgan trails off as he checks his phone. He's quiet for a moment while he reads what's on his screen.
"We have a case." Morgan says, looking up from his phone. He sees Mac coming from her room, with her gun holstered and black leather jacket in her hands.
"I figured." Mac says, putting her jacket on. She watches her friend for a moment. Morgan was looking back down at his phone as his thumbs moved quickly across the screen.
"What were you going to say?" Mac asks. Morgan looks up at his friend. His face was laced with confusion for a split second before it softens.
"Yea… I uh… I'm going to get you so drunk you propose to JJ tonight." Morgan says. Mac stays rooted to her spot. She was in complete shock, that she didn't compute Morgan turning on his heels and leaving until he was already halfway out the door.
"Wait… what?!"
xxxxx
"Morgan!" Mac yells in a hushed tone. Morgan was in his car and driving off by the time Mac locked up her loft and followed him. She didn't have a chance to chastise him before he left, but she had a chance now as she finally caught up to him as they entered the FBI building.
"Mac!" The voice of Penelope Garcia stopped Mac in her quest to catch up to Morgan. As much as she wanted to, she owed Garcia a conversation. If she was being honest she owed the entire team a conversation, including the blonde that stole her heart. Mac watches as Morgan gets on the elevator, shooting a smug smirk her way, as Garcia caught up to her.
"Hey Garcia." Mac says when the blonde stops in front of her. The unamused look on Garcia's face told Mac everything she needed to know. She hadn't had a chance to talk to anyone since they left San Diego. Truthfully, Mac welcomed the fast pace of their job, letting her hide from the fact that their secret was out. Wyoming was nothing but work, they were in and out so fast there wasn't time for anything else, but the fact remained; Everyone knew. And it was time for Mac to face the music. She wasn't sure where JJ stood, especially with how Reid reacted. But in this moment they were still together.
"When we're you going to tell me?" Garcia's question was to the point. Mac stays quiet as she tries to come up with an explanation, but one doesn't come.
"I'm sorry, Penelope." Mac says, her voice was unsure which is something Garcia wasn't used to. That with the combination of the use of her first name caused Garcia's face to soften.
"You know I'm happy for you. I just wished you guys told me." Mac nods understandingly letting her friends words settle. She knew the longer she and JJ kept their secret, the worse it was going to but she never expected them to be hurt. Confused, lied to, betrayed, all those she expected; but they were genuinely hurt they weren't involved.
"From here on out, you'll be the first to know." Mac reassured. A wide smile appeared on Garcia's face before she nods and turns to start walking. Mac smiled and started walking with her friend to their floor. It was a fast ride, but Mac enjoyed talking to Garcia. She was already making double date plans, and Mac would be excited if she didn't feel like her relationship was about to end. As they arrived at their floor, Garcia walked with Max to the door of the bullpen.
"…I'm trying this new Thai fusion place with Kevin on Friday we should all go!" Her excited voice brought a smile to Mac's face.
"Sounds fun." Mac says coming to a stop. Garcia smiles at her before looking inside the bullpen.
"You're in trouble." The sing song voice of Emily Prentiss causes Mac and Garcia to look towards her.
"Who?" Garcia asks, her voice and face matching in concern.
"Mac." Prentiss chuckles, walking into the bullpen. Mac was going to question her until her eyes wonder over to her desk, where she saw a familiar blonde leaning against it. Her arms crossed, and her face wearing a less than impressed looked. Mac looks back to Garcia who gives her a supportive smile before walking through the bullpen and towards the round table room. Mac sighs before she forces her heavy legs to make their way to her desk. She steps around her desk, placing her stuff down and doing what she could to avoid making eye contact.
"Mac." JJ's voice causes Mac to immediately look up. Their eyes meet, and Mac saw something she didn't expect. Sadness. Mac's face immediately softens and she offers JJ and tight smile.
"Why didn't you wait for me last night?" JJ asked. Her voice was low, like she wasn't trying to attract attention to them. Mac waits a moment, trying to gather the courage to say what was in her mind; or rather the courage to not say anything.
"Are you going to break up with me?" Mac asks after a moment. JJ's eyes widen, and for a moment a Mac could see hurt flash across her face.
"What?" JJ said. It was purely out of instinct. She knew exactly what Mac said, she just didn't understand why she said it.
"You guys coming?" Morgan asks, walking by the couple. JJ turns her head away from Morgan, trying to will away the tears burning in her eyes, and Mac offers him a quick nod. Morgan immediately picks up on the tension and gives them both a sad smile. Morgan walks away leaving Mac and JJ alone in the bullpen. There were a few agents scattered around, but no one from the team. Mac waits with JJ, giving her a moment to collect herself, before stepping around her girlfriend and starting to make her way to the round table room.
"Mac.." JJ reaches out and touches Mac's arm, effectively stopping her. She turns and immediately feels a gut punch of guilt. The sadness in JJ's eyes were because of her.
JJ deserves better.
The thought came out of no where, leaving Mac with more guilt. She offers her a sad smile as JJ steps forwards, clearly wanting more comfort.
"I love you." JJ says, trying her best to reassure her.
"I know." Mac nods, the tears now forming in her eyes. "I uh… loosing you would break me Jay, and I guess I'm not ready to have that conversation." Mac's words only prove to confuse JJ more.
"You're not loosing me." JJ says with a hushed conviction.
"Hey…" The voice pulls JJ and Mac away from their conversation as they turn towards the voice.
"You guys ready?" Reid asks, offering them both a smile. The smile strangely offered Mac some hope, that maybe she had twisted it up in her head. Reid was ok, and that meant so were they, but the words were already said. She told JJ she was afraid to loose her, something she had only admitted to her parents and Morgan.
"Yea, sorry Reid." Mac smiles tightly before turning back to JJ. The blonde smiles sadly at her before reaching out and touching her hand. It was a small comfort but it was all they could afford to do right now. JJ steps around Mac and makes her way with Reid up the to their destination.

The case was local, which Mac was extremely grateful for. She was excited to be close to home, to be able to crawl into her own bed. But it doesn't feel like just her bed anymore, it felt like JJ belonged there with her, and when she wasn't, she didn't sleep the same.
Mac taps her finger against the table as she looks over her iPad. They finished their debrief and now she was pouring over the information. She tries her best to focus on what was in front of her. It was simple, facts in black and white and it was a nice escape, when she could escape. But right now all she could think about was JJ and their conversation. How hurt JJ looked by her comment alone. Her words rang in Mac's ears, how genuine she sounded when she spoke those three words. It gave Mac a sense of comfort. It made her think about the first time she heard those words escape JJ's lips and how ever since she never tired of hearing them.
Flashback:
Mac wasn't sure what time it was, but it was dark out. She could really care less about the time, as she dragged her finger across JJ's bare stomach softly. Mac was still unsure what she and JJ were doing exactly. She knew JJ was intoxicating. She knew how she felt, how JJ made her feel. That every time she was with her she didn't want to be anywhere else and every time she was away from her, her mind was consumed by her.
"You're thinking so loud." JJ's voice cuts through Mac's thoughts, causing the darker haired woman to look up at her; Resting her hand in her head as she continued to trace unconscious patterns on her bare stomach.
Mac admires the woman before her. Her head was propped up on the pile of pillows at the head of the bed, her blonde hair splayed across the pillows, her bare chest rose and fell with every breath she took, and her eyes were closed.
Mac continues to trace her fingers across JJ's skin, her finger dropping dangerously low. She traces her hand across JJ's hip bone, enjoying the reaction she was getting. She hears JJ's breath catch and she turns her head just in time to see JJ's blue eyes look back at her. Dark with desire, as if they hadn't spent the last three hours in this bed together. Mac traces her fingers down, finding that JJ was already ready for her. Mac's fingers sink in her with ease, earning a low moan from the blonde. Her fingers move slowly, as JJ's hand comes to rest on Mac's moving wrist. They never break eye contact, blue and green melting into each other. It wasn't until JJ could feel tears burning in her eyes, that she shut them; her head falling back against the pillows. Mac stops her movements, concern falling over her face.
"Please…" JJ's voice was small, but clear. She didn't want Mac to stop. Her emotions were overwhelming her in this moment. The way Mac looked at her, touched her, kissed her. The way she cared for her like no one else did. JJ taps Mac's hand, signaling her to continue her movements. It wasn't until JJ opened her eyes that Mac started moving her hand again. She was in no rush, she had no words for what she was feeling but she could at least show JJ. JJ's hand comes to rest on the side of Mac's face, pulling her eyes towards her.
"Fuck…" JJ moans out, the intensity of Mac's movements never changing, but something in JJ did. "I think I love you…" JJ says between breaths. Mac stops her movement causing JJ's eyes to fly open at the change.
"Jay…" Mac starts but JJ shakes her head. It was clear JJ wasn't in the headspace to talk about what she just said, she was drowning in emotion and pleasure and she didn't want to come back to reality yet.
"Please don't stop." JJ breathes out. Understanding what she needed, Mac continued to give JJ every ounce and pleasure and love she needed in that moment.
End flashback:
Mac could feel her cheeks flush just at the memory alone. JJ had that effect on her. She continues to tap her finger against the table, her resolve fading as she realizes it was a loss cause. She wasn't going to be able to focus until she talked to JJ, until they fixed this riff that she had caused.
"Mac." Hotch's voice accompanied with his entrance into the round table room, brings Mac from her thoughts. She looks up from her iPad to look up at her boss and offers him a small smile.
"I need you to go to Michigan." Mac couldn't help but to feel disappointed, she was looking forward to sleep at home tonight.
"What's up?" Mac asks starting to stand.
"Garcia ran the crimes through ViCAP, we have a hit in Michigan. I'm sending you, JJ, Prentiss and Morgan." Mac nods, gathering her things. Hotch watches her silently before turning and closing the door softly. Mac looks up at her boss and sees a look she isn't familiar with.
"Hotch?" Mac questions.
"Are you ok to go?" Hotch asks, his voice soft.
"Hotch…"
"I was talking with your parents, why didn't you tell me you were having bad days?" Hotch ask, his head turning to the side. Mac sighs before running a hand through her long black hair.
"I'm sorry Hotch, I just…" Mac closes her eyes briefly as she takes a deep breath. "I couldn't get that boy out of my head."
"You did nothing wrong." Hotch said, trying to reassure her. They all had their bad days on this job. Some cases affect some members of the team differently.
"I appreciate that Hotch." Mac gives him a tight smile. Hotch knew this conversation wasn't going to go any further, so he offered her a content nod before opening the door. Mac heads towards the door only stopping to reassure Hotch they would keep him updated once they got to the Michigan field office.

It was quiet on the jet. JJ and Prentiss were caught up in a game of cards and Morgan was listening to his music with his eyes closed, his head leaning back against the headrest. Mac's eyes travel until she is starting out the window, watching the clouds move by almost in slow motion. She feels the couch shift, and judging my the familiar warmth she felt, she knew who it was.
"Are we going to talk?" JJ asks carefully. She knows her girlfriend, and she knows not to push her. Mac sighs, flashing her eyes to her girlfriend.
"I'm sorry my love." Mac's voice was small. The use of the pet name put JJ at ease. She wasn't sure what was going through Mac's head and she knew the time to get into it wasn't now. Mac reaches out and grabs JJ's hand in hers. Silence washes over them as they sit together.
"Don't push me away, baby." Mac plays with JJ's fingers absentmindedly as she thinks over her next words. Everything she's done has been out of fear. Not telling the team, not moving in with JJ, not asking her to be her wife, she was tired of doing nothing.
"Move in with me." Mac says after a moment. The words cause JJ's eyes to fly up to meet Mac's piercing green ones. There was no hesitation or deception in Mac's eyes. They were burning with love, yet JJ had no words. Instead JJ leans forward, sliding her free hand across the side Mac's neck and pulling Mac into a soft but passionate kiss.
"Mackenzie Foster, I thought you'd never ask." JJ murmurs against her lips before kissing her again. Mac smiles against her pulling her closer, forgetting where they were.
"It's about time." Morgan says from across the jet.
"God you guys are cute." Prentiss muses. JJ laughs at her friends, happy tears in her eyes threatening to spill over. It's what she always wanted. Moving forward in her relationship with Mac, with her friends support and love.

"Agents, thank you for coming." The police chief reached out and shook all their hands respectively. "We have a detective out at the newest crime scene. They all seemed random until your analyst called." He tells them, leading them further into the police station. They followed him and listened to him catch them up. They were in the conference room, pouring over files when the door swings open. A woman, slender in stature, curly brown hair, and olive skin steps inside.
"Hi, I'm detective Owens. I'm lead on this case." She offers them a kind smile as she looks around the room. Her eyes however, stop on Mac and her smile immediately widens.
"Mackenzie Foster." She states, her voice almost raising an octave. JJ looks at the detective before looking over at her girlfriend. She immediately sees the uncomfortable look she has on her face, which only confuses her more.
"Casey Owens." Mac says, plastering a smile on her face. The name sounded familiar to JJ, but she couldn't quite place it. The curly haired detective moves her eyes over to a very unimpressed Derek Morgan.
"And is that Derek Morgan I see." She says joyfully. Derek offers her a tight smile before nodding at her. And that's when JJ placed it. Casey Owens was Mac's girlfriend when she was in the Air Force. JJ remembers how vague Mac was about Casey, but she always said it ended badly.
"I always knew you guys would end up working together." She adds on, bringing JJ back from her thoughts. Morgan's tight smile fades before looking over at his friend. Mac eyes were boring into Owens, her irritation coming off of her in waves.
"Can you tell us more about the crime scene?" Prentiss asks, stepping in. The tension in the room could be cut through with a knife, so Prentiss was hoping to move the subject to work.
"I can do you one better. I can take you." Owens responds, but her eyes never leave Mac. An uncomfortable feeling settles in JJ's stomach. She didn't like the way Casey was looking at her wife…
Wait where did that come from.
"We usually can tell a lot about an unsub based on the crime scene. It would definitely be helpful." Prentiss says to her, her eyes flashing over to her friends. They all looked deep in thought, well Morgan looked like he was going to shoot something.
"Great. I'll take Mac." Her bubbly voice, and her obvious need to be alone with Mac, irritated Prentiss but she just offered her a smile.
"Great we will pour though what you already have here." Prentiss responds.
"I'll take JJ." Mac says pointedly, her arms folded across her chest. Prentiss, Morgan, and JJ understood the meaning behind their words but Owens was oblivious.
"Bring whoever you want, as long as you're up front with me." Owens smiles before turning on her heels and leaving the four agents in the conference room.
"Holy hell. What are the chances." Morgan says turning to look at Mac. Mac drops her arms and sighs before turning to look at JJ.
"Let's get this over with." Mac says, her green eyes unreadable, only intensifying the uncomfortable feeling in JJ's stomach. Mac quickly leaves the conference room, avoiding the eyes of her friends. JJ looks up at Morgan, who's brown eyes where staring after Mac.
"What am I looking at here?" JJ asks causing Morgan to look at her.
"She's never told you?" Morgan asks in a matter of fact tone.
"Vaguely." JJ responds.
"Just make sure they aren't alone for too long." Morgan sighs. JJ nods her head at the completely confusing piece of advice before walking out towards Mac. She was silently waiting for the elevator when she felt JJ's warm presence.
"You seem jealous." Mac's eyes focused on the elevator doors.
"Do I need to be?" JJ asks quickly. Mac turns her head and JJ sees a small smile tug at her lips.
"You're jealous." Mac says, her smile widening. JJ rolls her eyes with a small smile on her face.
"You have nothing to worry about. I'm so insanely in love with you Jennifer." Mac chuckles. JJ couldn't help the wide grin that spread across her face.
"The things I want to do to you-"
"You guys ready?" The annoying voice of Mac's ex cuts off the wanted and possibly explicit words of her girlfriend. Both Mac and JJ turn to face the elevator, waiting for it to sound its arrival.

"So Mac, how have you been?" The ride thus far had been silent. Mac sitting in the front seat with her face in her phone. She was clearly uninterested in having a conversation, JJ knew her well enough to know that. It was clear Owens didn't.
"Fine." Mac says, her eyes never leaning her phone. Owens looks away from the road briefly to look at Mac.
"Seeing anyone?" Owens asked, her eyes returning the to road.
"Why?" JJ recognized the tone immediately. It was the tone Mac used when she was being protective. JJ couldn't help the butterflies that fluttered in her stomach. Mac was being protective of HER.
"Yikes. What's up with you." Owens asked. The casualness of her voice made JJ cringe. She was talking the Mac like they were old friends.
"I just don't really want to talk about it. I'm here for a case." Mac says simply, her head still buried in her phone.
"All work and no play makes Mac a dull girl." Owens teases. A smile tugs at the corner of Mac's lips, but she quickly pushes it back.
"You always said I work too much." Mac says after a moment. JJ notices the large smile that covers Owens face, and immediately JJ starts to feel a pit in her stomach. JJ knew Mac had been with people before her, but still the thought of anyone else touching her the way she touched her, never left a good feeling in JJ.

JJ had never been happier to see the police station. They spent a few hours at the crime scene, walking through it carefully. Mac was her usual focused, thinking out loud with the help of JJ; so she didn't seem to notice one particular detective watching her closely. It bugged JJ, the way Owens watched her girlfriend. The way she hung on her every word, the way her hand would linger on her shoulder or arm.
It bugged her.
She makes her way through the station and over to the conference room where Morgan and Prentiss were conferencing with Garcia and Hotch. JJ filled them all in, telling them everything they saw at the crime scene. They were able to fill in some pieces and provide Garcia with new search criteria before hanging up the phone.
"Hey." JJ looks up to see Morgan coming to sit next to her at the conference room table. He slides a paper coffee cup towards her before taking a sip out of his own. She turns her head slightly, giving him a silent thank you before taking the cup and drinking from it. She looks down at the papers in front of her absentmindedly.
It bugged her.
And she knows it shouldn't. She knows how Mac feels about her, and she knows Mac would never cheat on her, but it wasn't her she was worried about. She's never been possessive in relationships, but the idea of someone touching Mac the way she touches her, bugs her.
"It's not just me right." JJ says, her eyes still down at the papers in front of her.
"It's not just you." Morgan confirms. JJ nods and takes a sip from her cup. They sit in silence for a while, before Prentiss walks back into the conference room. JJ looks up to say something to Pretniss, but notices the tight looks on her face.
"Prentiss, you good?" Morgan asks, his eyebrows furrowing together.
"I think Owens might have a thing for Mac." Pretniss says, causing JJ to immediately look around for her girlfriend. When she looks through the glass wall of the conference room, she sees Mac and Owens talking right outside. Mac's demeanor was significantly less hostile than it was in the car, and Owens was watching Mac carefully; shifting her weight closer to Mac ever so slightly. She watches as Mac opens a file in her hands, and Owens uses it as an excuse to step even closer to Mac. Mac says something without lifting her head, prompting another smile from Owens. After a couple more seconds, Owens walks away from Mac, and JJ hears Morgan push his chair back roughly. Derek pulls open the conference room door and makes his way over to Mac.
"Hey." He says, his voice just as stern as his face.
"Hey." Mac says after briefly looking up from the file.
"What are you doing?" Morgan asks, placing his hands on his hips. His tone causes Mac to look up and study his face.
"Working." Mac answers simply as she closes the file and starts walking away from him. Morgan follows her for a second before spotting an empty office. He grabs her arm gently and pulls her in the semi private area.
"I mean what are you doing with Owens." Morgan says when he is met with a questioning look from Mac.
"Working." Mac answers again, this time her voice more annoyed.
"Mac, she ripped your heart out, broke it into a million pieces, tapped danced on those pieces, then duck taped it all together just to do it again." Morgan says his tone growing more frustrated.
"That was…vivid." Mac says after a moment.
"But accurate." Morgan fires back.
"Nothing is going to happen Morgan, I'm in love with JJ." Mac tries to reassure.
"Yea, does she know that?" Morgan says, a familiar fire burning in his eyes. The same fire that burns in his eyes when an unsub has royally pissed him off.
"JJ knows I would never cheat on her." Mac sighs out.
"No. Does Owens know about JJ. Did you tell her?" Morgan presses again.
"Why would I? We are here for business."
"Did she ask?" Derek asks, his questions starting to sound like a protective older brother more than a concerned friend.
"Yes." Mac sighs, the line of questions proving to Mac that Derek wasn't letting it go until he was satisfied by the answer.
"What did you say?" Derek asks, his hands planted firmly on his hips.
"Why?"
"Why? Because she's trying to work her way-"
"No, I said why." Mac cuts him off quickly, realizing the confusion.
"You said why." Derek repeats back, his unimpressed tone earning an eye roll from his friend.
"Yea Derek. I said why. Because it is none of her business, and OH! Because I'm here to work." Mac's irritation starting to show with every word that stumbled out of her mouth. They stare each other down for a moment before Derek's phone starts to ring. Derek sighs, as he reaches into his pocket to inspect his phone.
"Yea Hotch… Yea.." Morgan's eyes flash up from the phone to his friend who was watching him carefully. "Ok.." Morgan hangs up the phone before shoving it back into his pocket.
"Looks like we are staying the night. Hotch thinks the unsub is here." Morgan says, filling her in. Mac just nods, her irritation still present from the earlier conversation. They stand together in silence, both parties trying to find the words to say to each other.
"All I'm saying Mac, is she only thinks there is a chance if you let her think there is." Morgan says after a pregnant pause. He quickly turns on his heels, leaving Mac to sit with his words.
By the time Mac made her way back to the conference room, Prentiss and Morgan were on the phone with Garcia and JJ was texting Hotch on the other side of the room. Mac silently sits down and starts pouring over some evidence. Her mind was thinking over Morgan's words. Was he right? Was she leaving an opening for Owens? She wasn't sure how long she was lost in her thoughts but she knew it had been a while. When she refocused on her surroundings, she realized how dark it was. It was late, very late. Last time Prentiss checked the time it was well after 9, and that was hours ago. It was something they were all used to, that's how they got work done. But they were at a stopping point, they were hungry and exhausted, and no longer a use, so they decided to call it a night. After sharing a couple late night burgers from a 24 hour burger stand, the four of them make their way to their hotel.
They ride in silence in the elevator, the four members of the team finding that even small talk was too much energy to exert. With a sing of the elevator, they all step out, silently making their way to their rooms. They say a silent goodnight to each other before separating into their respective rooms. JJ completely forgoes her room, following Mac closely. They hadn't verbally talked about JJ staying in her room, but they didn't need to. Mac wanted her there, and JJ wanted to be there. They stumble into the room, their feet heavy underneath them. They don't bother changing, instead they strip down to just their underwear before climbing into bed together. Legs intertwined, and JJ's head buried right underneath Mac's chin; a familiar position, one they have been in countless times. JJ sighs, her eye fluttering shut as Mac's arms wrap around her. The feeling of safety lulling her to sleep. The last thing JJ remembers is thinking she could lay in Mac's arms forever.
xxxxxx
Mac groans as she is pulled into consciousness. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but something was different. As she slowly starts to become more aware of her surroundings, she feels a familiar pair of lips making their way across her jaw and down her neck. An involuntary groan leaves her throat and the lips stop in their place. Mac opens her eyes to see the gorgeous blonde she fell in love with, straddling her waist. Her steel blue eyes pierce through her as she immediately recognizes that look.
"What time is it?" Mac's voice was rough with sleep as she takes in her girlfriend. She was still bare from the night before, the only thing separating them was a pair of white lace underwear JJ was wearing.
"Early." JJ whispers against Mac's lips. Mac again groans at her girlfriend. JJ presses her lips against Mac's, swallowing her moan. JJ grinds down on Mac, earning another moan from her girlfriend.
"Jesus JJ." Mac's hands fly to JJ's hips, attempting to regain some sense of control. JJ's lips travel to her girlfriends neck, sinking her teeth into the soft skin, before darting her tongue out to soothe it. Mac was completely at her mercy, and she wasn't complaining. As JJ paid proper attention to Mac's skin, surely leaving marks, Mac trails her hands up and down JJ's back. JJ gasps against Mac's neck, before sinking her teeth back into Mac's neck.
"Jesus Jay." Mac breathes out. JJ kisses her way back to Mac's lips, before smashing her lips against Mac's for a fiery, passion filled kiss.
It had been 17 days since JJ and Mac had been together. In retrospect, with their busy lives, that isn't a long time, but for JJ and Mac it was a long time. They have always had a healthy sex life, but lately between work and their recently discovered relationship, sex had taken a backseat. But JJ's actions this morning proved to Mac that it wasn't on the backseat anymore. Mac continues to kiss her, her lips starting to trail to JJ's neck. JJ tilts her head, allowing her to explore. Mac's lips latching to the spot on JJ's neck that makes her go crazy. JJ lets out a moan, her mind going completely blank. Mac uses her new leverage to flip them over, earning a surprised gasp from her girlfriend. Mac immediately attacks JJ's neck, her hand running up JJ's bare side. Mac grabs JJ's hand, their fingers intertwining, before Mac pins it above JJ's head. JJ wraps her legs around her girlfriend, pulling her closer. Mac's lips trails down her her chest, placing wet hot kisses down her body.
"Mac…" JJ breathes out as she feels a kiss being pressed to her hipbone. Mac places kisses on the edges of her lacy underwear, JJ's panting only encouraging her. JJ feels the heat pool in her stomach as she lifts herself up on her elbows to watch. There was something exciting about watching Mac enjoy her. Mac bites the top of JJ's underwear, gathering the material in her teeth, before tugging them down tortuously slow. JJ gasps at the feeling of Mac lips brushing against her as she pulled the material off of her. Mac throws the offending item somewhere in the dark room, before leaning down and pressing a kiss to the inside of JJ's thigh. She continues her assault on JJ's thighs as she rubs her nails up and down her stomach. JJ's stomach tightens in anticipation as Mac continues to tease her. JJ feels Mac's breath against her center, causing her to moan.
"Mac… please…" JJ pants. Her words causing Mac to moan and heat to pool in her stomach. After a few more moment of teasing, Mac buries her head between her thighs. The feeling of Mac's warm mouth on her hot throbbing center causes JJ and fall back against the pillows. She lets out a loud moan as her hands fly to Mac hair. She tangles her fingers in her girlfriends dark hair, trying to regain some sense of control. Mac talented tongue explores JJ's wet folds, before finding her sensitive bundle of nerves. JJ clenches her legs together, trying to slow her impending release.
"Open them, JJ." Mac demands, her demanding voice earning another moan from her lips. JJ complies as Mac lifts her head to look at her. She was coming undone against her mouth, and Mac couldn't help but to feel pride sell in her chest. She was the only one who got to see JJ like this, make her feel like this. Licking her wet center one more time, Mac moves up so she was face to face with her girlfriend. Her eyes were closed, and her face was flushed, the sight alone was enough to make Mac explode right there. Mac slides her hand down, and without warning Mac sinks her fingers into JJ.
"Oh FUCK.. MAC.." JJ moans out. Mac starts pumping her fingers slowly, burying her head in the crook of JJ's neck. Mac curls her fingers, causing JJ to tighten around her fingers. A moan gets caught in Mac's throat at the feeling of JJ around her fingers.
"Jesus Christ Jay." Mac says, lifting her head to look at her.
"Look at me." Mac says, her dominating side coming out, causing a rush of wetness down JJ's thighs. "Jennifer." Mac says after a minute, her movement pausing all together. JJ squirms and whines at the lack of movement. She opens her eyes slowly, her piercing blue eyes, met with emerald green eyes. As a reward, Mac curls her fingers inside of her. JJ moans out, her eyes starting to flutter shut.
"Don't close them." Mac whispers in her ear, before her mouth latches on the skin underneath her ear. JJ fights to keep her eyes open, as the pleasure rolls through her body. Mac continues her movements, her fingers brushing that spot that makes her come undone every time. The unwelcome and shrill sound of JJ's phone, cuts through the room, causing JJ's head to snap towards the night stand.
"Don't answer that." Mac says, her fingers curling against her spot. JJ groans, as her eyes involuntarily close. Mac's movements were making it impossible for JJ to think of anything outside of this room, this moment with her. JJ bucks her hips against Mac's fingers, desperate for that high only Mac could give her. Her phone finally stops ringing, allowing JJ to focus completely on Mac. JJ turns her head and captures Mac's lips with her own. Mac moans into her mouth, while picking up her movements. The change in pace causes JJ to break away from her lips, her eyes flying open.
"Baby.." JJ pants. She knows Mac has the ability to end this at any point she wanted, she could make her come undone in a second if she wanted to. The problem was, Mac never wanted to, she always took her time with JJ. She didn't stop until her toes were curling and her name was falling out of JJ's mouth like a prayer. Mac focused on giving JJ as much pleasure as possible, caring little about what was going on in the world outside of this hotel room. A loud buzzing pulls Mac's head away from JJ's buzzing as she glared at her phone on the nightstand beside JJ's. They were being summoned, and she knew that, but she didn't want to stop, she wanted to stay in this moment, in JJ forever.
"Don't…answer…that.." Mac says, punctuating each word with a hard thrust into JJ. JJ gasps throwing her head back and arching her back.
"Baby…" JJ gasps before tapping the nightstand blindly for the offending item. Mac knows realistically they have to answer and wrap up their morning activities, but nothing about her was rational. It had been too long since she was fully connected to JJ, and she wasn't going to let this moment pass.
"What?" JJ says, her voice catching in her throat as Mac picks up her pace.
"JJ?" The voice takes her by surprise but it was quickly replaced with pleasure when she felt Mac's thumb press against her clit.
"Garcia?" JJ questions, trying her best to keep her voice as normal as possible. JJ looks to her girlfriend and shoots her playful glare.
"Hang up." Mac mouths to her, as her thumb circles the bundle of nerves. JJ shakes her head as she tries to regain some type of control of the situation she was in, but it was futile. Mac's thumb movements with the combination of her fingers thrusting inside of her, JJ knew she only had moments before Mac took her over the edge.
"Is Mac with you?" Garcia asks through the phone.
"Yea… yup…" JJ breathes out. "What's up?" JJ closes her eyes, trying to focus on not coming undone on a work call.
"Ok, well Hotch and the others are at the station. They just got there." Garcia informs. JJ could care less about anyone other than Mac at that moment.
"Great- good." JJ bites back a moan as she feels Mac tongue circle around her nipple.
"You ok, Jayje?" Garcia asks.
"So, so, so, so good." JJ moans before hanging up the phone.
"Oh god MAC." JJ moans loudly as she comes undone around Mac's fingers. Mac smiles against her breast as she feels JJ spasm around her fingers. Her back arches and her hand flies into Mac's hair, pulling her up for a world crushing kiss. JJ hands release her hair, before she drags her nails across Mac's back as Mac continues to work her until she was completely spent. Mac slows her movements before pulling out of her. JJ whines at the lack of contact as she comes down from her high. Mac peppers kisses along her face and neck before rolling off of her and laying down beside her. JJ's eyes remain shut as she tries to come back to reality, her breathing slowing as she regains control over her body. After a few minutes of nothing but ragged breathing filling the air, JJ starts to laugh. Her laugh immediately causing Mac to smile as she watches her girlfriend.
"I'm pretty sure Garcia knows we were having sex." JJ says after a moment of laughter. Mac lifts herself up on her forearm, looking down at the gorgeous blonde. She watches JJ laugh with a smile on her face. She picks her hand up, and brushes the side of JJ's face.
"I'm so in love with you." Mac says. Her voice was sure, so sure it stopped JJ's laughter. Their eyes meet and JJ could feel emotion swell in her eyes. She could get lost in the way Mac looks at her, forever.
"God, Mac." JJ whispers before pulling down the darker haired women into a soul crushing kiss. Mac moans against her lips, shifting her weight back on top of JJ. Her hands start moving across JJ's body, her hand dipping dangerously low.
"Mac.." JJ's warning tone does nothing but cause Mac to smile. "We don't have time." JJ breathes out when Mac's fingers brush against her.
"We will make time." Mac says, before disappearing down JJ's body. JJ slowly starts to loose her battle, her resolve fading with every stroke of Mac's tongue against her.
"Jesus Christ Mac." JJ's hand flies up, smacking the wooden headboard above her, completely giving in to her gorgeous, green eyed girlfriend.

They were late, very late, and if it weren't for her euphorically achy body, JJ would've been worried about a reprimand from her boss. She separated from Mac at the hotel, shortly after they went another round, Mac's phone started to ring. Morgan was calling to tell her to meet him at the new crime scene. Silently cursing herself, Mac jumped out of bed, throwing her hair into a ponytail and throwing on clothes before rushing out the door. But not before promising JJ they would spend a week in bed as soon as the team went on their semi annual leave. JJ makes her way through the station and slips into the bull pen where everyone was gathered. She called Hotch ahead of time and let him know she was running behind, making up some excuse about the tire on the SUV. Her eyes instinctively look around for the green eyed beauty that stole her heart, as she makes her way to her team.
"Hey, there you are. I was getting worried." Emily says, turning to face her. Prentiss looks her friend up and down, before a smirk sneaks onto her face. JJ was wearing a low cut navy blue shirt, black pants, and boots. Her gun was propped securely on her hip, and her blonde hair fell over her shoulders.
"What?" JJ asks, feeling suddenly exposed under her friends gaze.
"Garcia was right." Prentiss says, her smirk only growing when JJ's face flushed. "You got laid." Prentiss drops her voice so no one could hear her, but JJ still looks around quickly. JJ tucks a chunk of hair behind her ear, trying to mask her obvious smile. Prentiss chuckles, nudging JJ to walk with her to join the rest of the team.
"How long had it been?" Prentiss asks. JJ's lips dart across her lips as a smile appears on her lips.
"17 days." She responds. Emily smirks coming to a stop next to Reid who was slightly turned talking with Mac. When JJ sees her, heat rushes to her face as her body immediately reacts to being with her.
"You do know, now that I know, you owe me a ton of details." Prentiss says under her breath. JJ turns her head to look at her friend. She smiles nodding her head before her eyes flash back over to Mac. She was talking with Reid, when Morgan walked over, pulling at the collar of her red leather jacket. Mac smacks his hand away, and that's when JJ saw the very red mark on her neck. JJ immediately recognized the spot at the place she latched onto when Mac brought her to her undoing. Morgan was clearly teasing her about it, but Mac didn't seem upset, more proud. Like she knew how she got it and was proud of it. JJ couldn't help the slight damp feeling that was pooling in her underwear.
"Ok, you guys just had sex." Prentiss says, noticing JJ staring at Mac.
"Trust me, you don't know the half of it." JJ says shaking her head and prying her eyes away from Mac to smile at Prentiss.
"Well I'm about to." Prentiss chuckles. But before JJ could respond, Hotch steps out in front of the team.
"Alright everyone, thank you for coming. We have a working profile we would like to share with you."

Mac rounds the corner slowly. Her gun was drawn and she was hyper aware of her surroundings. Her breathing was slowed, focused, ready for anything. As she rounds the corner, she slides her foot against the door, insuring no one was behind it before she advances into the room. But the further she moved inside, the worse the feeling in her stomach got. She turns another corner, pointing her gun quickly. She turns to clear the other side when she feels a blow across her face. She groans, briefly dazed. She hears her gun scatter across the hardwood floor. She turns to see the unsub walking towards her with a mission.
"FBI!" Mac identifies herself before he moves to swing at her. This time it doesn't take her by surprise and she was able to duck out the way, before landing a solid punch across his face. While he was down, Mac took the opportunity to kick him in his stomach. She managed to land a solid kick, before the unsub grabs her leg, pulling her down. She hits the ground, and a pained gasp escapes her lips. The unsub slides on top of her, landing a few more punches across her face. Mac reaches out and is able to stick her thumbs into his eyes. The pain takes the unsub off balance, leaving Mac with leverage to push him off. She gets up quickly, and heads towards her weapon. She picks it up quickly and turns to point it at the unsub. Gunshots ring out, and she feels a burning sensation on her arm. She drops behind cover and inspects her arm. The bullet grazed her, it was superficial at best, but Mac didn't have time to worry about it. She was hurting, she knows she took a beating, but she tries to push it all aside.
"Come on out agent. I was having fun." The unsub taunts accompanied with another gunshot ringing out. Mac releases a breath, before turning slowly moving the opposite way. She's hoping to get behind him, surprise him. She slowly makes her way around the unfamiliar house, her arm throbbing and her body screaming at her to stop.
"I wouldn't move if I were you." Mac's steady voice stops the unsub in his tracks. He turns around slowly with a sickening smirk on his face.
"I guess you got me." He says tossing his gun, and lifting his arms in the air slowly. Mac watches him closely, her anger boiling in her achy body. She pulls her mic to her mouth, her eyes never leaving the unsub.
"Morgan, I got him." Her voice was laced with pain, and Morgan immediately picks up on it as he makes his way over to her.
"Mac, you're hit." Morgan says, his voice suddenly on high alert. Local PD move in on the unsub as Morgan inspects his friend. He watches her holster her gun, but not before local PD handcuff the unsub.
"I'm fine." Mac says to her friend, but when she takes a step forward, her body gives out on her, causing Morgan to catch her.
"Woah, you're not fine. I NEED A MEDIC." Morgan shouts, leading his friend to the ground. At this time, Derek was able to really inspect his friend. He sees the bruising already forming across her face, and some bruising was peaking out from underneath her vest. The blood from her arm was starting to drip onto the floor and Morgan places his hand to it.
"I'm just lightheaded." Mac defends weakly.
"Yea probably from blood loss." The paramedics rush over to Mac, immediately cutting her shirt and taking her vitals. Within minutes, she was sitting on the back of the ambulance, an oxygen mask over her face, and her shirt off. The air blew on her bruised skin, as the paramedics look over her. They were able to give her a sling for her arm temporarily while they looked at her other injuries.
"Jesus Foster, you look like hell." Owens says, approaching her ex with a small smile.
"You should see the other guy." Mac quips back.
"Oh I did, not a scratch on him." Owens says with a smile. Mac picks up on her joking tone and couldn't help the smile and chuckle. But the chuckle quickly turned into a wince as her body moved the wrong way. The two were silent for a moment, Casey taking in all of the injuries she sustained.
"I'm seeing someone." Mac says with the oxygen mask pulled down, causing Owens to look up at her.
"What?" She questions, her eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
"When you asked yesterday. I said why. What I should've said was yes." Mac explains, understanding washes over Casey's face as she nods. A small smile forms on her face as she continues to look at her ex.
"Who is she?" Owens questions. It was morbid curiosity, she knew whatever the answer was it was going to hurt. When she asked Mac earlier she knew she wasn't going to get an answer, and part of her was relieved when she didn't. She could just assume she was single, and that maybe she could make a move. She wanted to be with Mac, when she ended things to now, she's never stopped wanting to be with Mac.
"Why?" Mac questions, before lifting the oxygen mask back over her face.
"I don't know Mac, you're the one who felt the need to bring it up hours later." Owens says, laughing awkwardly. Mac stays silent, breathing as evenly as she could despite her injuries.
"Well whoever she is, she's one incredibly lucky lady." Owens says, offering her a small smile. They linger for a moment before Owens turns to leave. "I'll be seeing you Mac."
"It's JJ. Agent Jareau." Mac says. Owens lifts her eyebrows playfully.
"She's gorgeous. Nice catch." Owens says. Before Mac could say anything a voice catches her attention.
"Mac." The worried voice makes her turn uncomfortably in her seat at the back of the ambulance. JJ rounds the vehicle and stops in front of her girlfriend.
"Are you ok?" JJ asks frantically. Mac nods before JJ pulls her in carefully. Holding her against her body before pulling back and taking her in.
"I probably need stitches and I'm sore as hell, but I'm ok." Mac reassures. Mac's eyes flash over to Owens. She was climbing into her squad car, but she stops once she realizes a specific pair of green eyes was on her. She offers Mac a tight smile and a small wave, before she gets in her car.
"God baby, I'm so sorry." JJ says after studying her girlfriend. Mac looks up at her and smiles.
"It's ok, my majorly hot live in girlfriend will take care of me." JJ couldn't help the warmth that spread across her chest. She steps forward so she was standing in between Mac's legs, slightly towering over her seated girlfriend.
"Yes she will." JJ whispers, brushing her hand against the side of Mac's bruised and slightly swollen face. JJ pushes some dark hair from her face before leaning down to brush a light kiss against her lips. She didn't care where they were, for all she cared about was Mac's lips on hers.
