Void Space: Year 10
In all honesty, one hundred years of training sounded like an immeasurably daunting concept. And it was, but having already been here for ten years, a full decade, Raylan found the idea of another ninety all the more manageable. Still immensely long, but not unreachable as once thought.
The whole one hundred years of training wasn't quite accurate for a start because he did rest, he took breaks, not that he needed to sleep or eat, or even recover his stamina here but to think on his training. Step back, examine everything that happened, and move forward with an improved plan in mind. To clear his mind when he made mistakes and come back to form better than before.
And to conjure up more asinine training programs alongside whatever Istaroth thought up.
His main focus for the last few years had been to shape his body into an absolute weapon, and by Celestia itself, he'd done just that. He was ripped, shredded even. Raylan looked the part and felt the part, his previous self would eat his heart out if he saw what he'd become! Raylan might have trained on the regular but he was a different beast now thanks to a decade of intense training!
So he'd been doing all sorts of extreme strength, conditioning, and fitness training. Given his body wasn't the same one he'd had when he was alive, although it was identical, it was built to improve and grow like that of an Archon. His body could house monstrous physical abilities as well as godly magical ones.
He could proudly say he was built different!
And you should see his legs! The number of squats you can get done in ten years would shatter the will of any average gym goer, but now? Let's just say Raylan's got hops.
His strength could make Shenhe blush with how much he could lift! If she was even capable of that. His speed, dexterity, durability, and reflexes were enough to match any person from Teyvat and more. He wasn't strong enough to take on Arcons or higher yet though, even if he was likely physically stronger than them, he had a long way to go before he could match, and surpass, them in raw magical power and combat ability.
He might have the body of a warrior god, but not the skills and magical abilities of one.
Oddly enough though his endurance, according to Istaroth, was off the charts. The sheer amount of physical abuse he could sustainer was unheard of, even by a god's standards, and it was only getting better as time went by. That was an aspect he couldn't afford to ignore.
Thankfully, he had years to get there, years to close the gap between himself and the gods and Archons of Teyvat.
Then there was Istaroth herself.
Originally Raylan had thought the God of Time was just going to be a teacher and no more, an observer of his, but over the years he'd found that she quickly became a close friend. Sure, she might have been the only other person here besides the animated and autonomous training dummies he kicked the shit out of, but they actually enjoyed talking to one another.
As it turned out Istaroth didn't know much about his world, she knew things here and there like how Genshin Impact was a game in his world but she didn't have intimate knowledge of his home. From how the world worked politically to religious beliefs and cultures.
That was one way Raylan found they began to bond. He'd tell her stories about his home, his world, his life and she loved it! She was enthusiastic about hearing what life was like in another world. It was strange at times, as Istaroth always went quiet when it came to talking about his family, friends, and the love of his life. It was like she was reluctant to hear about them. Raylan didn't understand why she was always quiet like that but he chalked that up to her dragging him from his home and away from said people and loved ones.
It might not have been as exciting or adventurous as a life in Teyvat but Istaroth ate up his words. And in return she'd do the same for him, giving him an insight about her and Teyvat. Although she wasn't as deep about herself, and the life she lived, clearly having something she wished to hide, she helped explain Teyvat itself in better detail. She didn't reveal Teyvat's secrets though, despite Raylan's protests, saying it would ruin his adventure!
Raylan could practically see the God of Time wagging her finger with a smug smile plastered across her face as she said that to him.
Basically, she wasn't about to spoil the game of Genshin Impact beyond its current Archon Quest.
Bleh!
Fuck it, he was going to Teyvat anyway as basically an Archon without a nation. Raylan would have plenty of time to adventure and explore, uncover all of Teyvat's little secrets, and maybe look good doing it. There were few forces that could go toe-to-toe with an Archon, so he had free reign of his travels, the ability to decide where he went.
At least, he assumed that to be the case.
If only he knew how wrong he would be proven.

Void Space: Year 30
Thirty years when by far quicker than one might think. Raylan figured it was because he was always occupied, always busy, that time sped past without his notice. Thirty years was most of a lifetime, or at least the young fun bits, but Raylan didn't feel any older. He still felt like his usual self! That was to say a complete ass at the best of times but still.
Despite how quickly the time flew by, however, it wasn't wasted.
He'd been training to fight for thirty years now and it showed. From his sculpted physique to his lethal skills in all forms of combat. Weapons, hand-to-hand, and his Void magic. He shaped his body into one that could handle anything before developing the skills to go with it.
The God of Time had been a true lifesaver when it came to teaching him combat, her knowledge on the subject was vast so Raylan could pick and choose what he wanted to learn first. There were obvious choices like the weapons actually found in Teyvat such as swords and polearms, but Istaroth had knowledge of the unorthodox as well.
Scythes' and arm blades were among some of the weapons Istaroth had experience with, which was pretty fucking cool in Raylans' opinion. There was one weapon that Istaroth could teach him that looked suspiciously like the Blades of Chaos from God of War.
He'd given the God of Time the famed sus look after wielding that in training for the first few weeks.
However, he'd also been given free rein to learn what he desired. If he wanted to learn a specific style or weapon then Istaroth would give him the means to learn it. She'd help shape the weapon with his Abyss Void Magic, help create an arena for him to use it, and watch as he tore through various targets of all strengths and sizes.
He'd been learning to use all sorts of weapons over the last thirty years from swords of all shapes and sizes, to polearms such as bo staffs and spears, to even a few ranged options. Although, given the fact Raylan was heading for Teyvat at the end of his one hundred years of training he was not given any firearms training. They both conceded that it would be pointless given their rarity. Instead, bows, throwing knives, throwing javelins, and mini-throwing axes were what would make up his ranged arsenal. And let it be known that Raylan looked like a badass slinging knives around the arena!
But as the old saying goes, it takes three years to learn something but thirty years to master it!
Luckily, he had seventy years in his future to finish everything he started.
He'd learned all sorts of styles of combat, from more traditional styles to free-style combat and even dancer styles over the past years. Eula, I love your character but eat your heart out! You ain't the only dancing fighter anymore!
Martial arts training was something Raylan specifically asked for and indulged a lot of his free time thinking on. He loved hand-to-hand combat, from video games and movies to their real-life equivalents, there was just something about how they moved that drew Raylan to the form of fighting.
It was a shame Istaroth would always be awkwardly silent when it came to his own hand-to-hand training. I mean, sure, it was weird to see Raylan muttering weird things like Dragon of Dojima or Solid Snake, even learning to fight like Spider-Man, as he beat targets around the place but it wasn't his fault! It helped him get into the zone when he was fighting, visualizing the techniques before executing them.
Raylan swore she had some sort of problem with him learning video game fighting styles! He did concede that some of the techniques were weird or outright flashy but they were all undeniably usable! If he was going to train to be the best, so that he could combat Monsters and Gods, then he might as well train to fight like someone Teyvat had never seen before! He had to become an absolute unit of a warrior!
And video game protagonists always had the moves!
Istaroth had been rather… unconvinced despite his best efforts, you could say. The God of Time would regularly question whether or not what he was trying to learn was actually worth it.
Or even useful.
But Raylan was a gamer, he knew the truth.
His answers might not have always alleviated his friends' worries but he always promised and reassured her that his other training would never suffer. He was as dangerous as any skilled fighter in Teyvat, and Raylan swore to the God of Time that those skills would never dull, only sharpen.
Although Raylan couldn't physically see his friend, he could feel it, he knew she always smiled whenever he declared his devotion to his training. Taking it as proof of his determination to save Teyvat.
One day Raylan hoped to finally meet his friend physically, perhaps at the end of his journey, to see her joyous smile. The thought always helped keep his spirits high, he would have to keep that goal in the back of his mind for when the time came.
However he already dreaded the day he would witness her judgemental stare firsthand, it was bad enough when he could feel her eyes linger on him, silently judging and evaluating him in a way a parent would their performing child. Then to be hit with that hint of disappointment at the end?
It made the young Abyss Archon shiver at the thought alone.
Raylan usually shook it off after a moment but it still lingered in the back of his mind when he was training like videogame characters, hence why it helped to get into character. It distracted him from what he dubbed, The Gaze.
At the end of the day, as long as the results of his training were positive then there shouldn't be any issues. Fighting skills were fighting skills, if they saved his life even once when he was out there dealing with real battles then it would be worth all the effort put into his training now.
Now, if only Raylan could convince her that Air Juggling was essential for fighting!
/_\
Void Space: Year 70
Oh yeah. Raylan could feel it now. Seventy years of training, being taught by a literal God, being a literal God himself, it was an unmistakable but also unreal feeling. The level of power at his fingertips was incredible! Raylan held out his hand as Void energy formed his hand, swirling around the limp and between his fingers. It wasn't much of a demonstration but Raylan could feel the power in the Void energy. If this is what Archons were capable of he had to wonder who in their right mind would ever dare challenge them!
The Travelers had a set of balls to have taken on Ei if she was as strong as he was now! Well played dear Traveler, you continue to be one of the most intriguing characters in Genshin to me even now!
Raylan once asked Istaroth who the canon Traveler was, but, unsurprisingly, the God of Time played coy with him and told him that he'd have to figure that out for himself. Her smug, all-knowing smile would almost certainly be plastered across the God's face.
The God of Time was one smug bitch, and she knew it.
Momentarily he had wondered how the Travelers would react to him, the self-proclaimed Archon of the Abyss. He did reek of Abyss magic, but he was also unlike anything Teyvat would have seen before. A power capable of going up against a God of Celestia. Would they be wary of him? Try to recruit him? Would the Abyss Sibling do the same?
He didn't know, and honestly, he was more than likely going to find out when it came time for him to meet the siblings and their emergency food companion.
Giving the characters of Genshin Impact more thought, Raylan wondered what it would be like to meet half of them. He obviously had his own favorite characters, so would he try to meet them first? Would they like him? He doubted he was as charming as the Traveler was, but he was curious as to how some of them would react to him.
Like would Diluc try to kill him for his links to the Abyss? Would Xiao see him as a demon of the Abyss? What would the Abyss Sibling want from him?
Would he be allowed to blow something up with Klee?
All important questions.
He wondered for the briefest second if Aloy would be around, but quickly pushed that thought to the back of his mind.
What about the world in general then?
How would the world react to him? Would he be put on the list of threats in Liyue? What would the Fatui do when they find out he's a god himself? How would the Archons react to another god on the scene?
The future Abyss Archon had no clue.
The more Raylan thought about it, the more he realized he had zero plans for how he was going to go about saving Teyvat.
The best plan he had here and now consisted of three steps;
Step 1: Train to slay Gods.
Step 2: Slay Gods.
Step 3: Profit.
He had to admit there were some missing steps in there somewhere.
But he had time, hopefully. He had another few decades to go before he would venture off into the world of Genshin Impact. So he had the time to plan, if he could even come up with one for dealing with a world like Teyvat. If he couldn't come up with a plan then Raylan would train his heart out so that no matter what life threw at him he'd survive and come back stronger and with a plan in mind.
His mind seemed to move back toward the people of Teyvat, the characters of the game, and he wondered if he would truly be able to help them. Many of the characters had personal issues they had to work through, or a goal they had to reach. Raylan couldn't help but wonder how he'd go about helping them, if they'd let him.
He wondered how he was going to survive in Teyvat. Joining the adventurers guild seemed like a good idea, he could use his combat prowess to make some Mora. Perhaps meet some well-connected people, and use it as an excuse to travel. Maybe it could help him fly under the radar? Give him a reason to travel and move about without looking sus.
The more he thought about it, the more the young man realized he was going into this with so little information. An incomplete story, if you will.
Raylan had so many questions about Genshin Impact, its world, and its people yet he had so few answers all of which came from what the game devs willingly gave them. It seemed he'd only get the answers he wanted when he actually met the people of Teyvat in person.
Which only made the idea of meeting certain characters far more exciting now.

Void Space: Year 90
When training to combat monstrosities, Gods, and whatever higher deities called Teyvat home, learning to cook wasn't something Raylan would call essential. As were a whole host of skills Istaroth had insisted Raylan learned over the past year.
Cooking being one of them, and whilst he didn't argue its necessity in everyday life he couldn't help but wonder why he'd waste time learning it now. He could learn to cook on his journey if he had to.
Others amongst the list of skills he'd been learning recently were camping, environmental survival skills, botany knowledge, hunting skills, first-aid, navigation, and climbing to name a few. If Raylan was in any way concerned that he was ninety years into his century of training and would be facing gods soon he might have thought to prioritize combat skills.
But by this point he trusted Istaroth.
So he'd learned all he could, despite how training for survival skills in a void space they designed kinda defeated the purpose of it. It was self-defeating to camp out in the friendliest environment they could but it was the only way to practice. Beggars can't be choosers in this case.
Beyond everyday skills, Istaroth had also pushed for him to learn defensive and support magic and skills. The God of Time taught him how to create Abyss shields like how Zhongli could, and some healing abilities with his Void powers.
However, for the latter, it turned out he was absolutely horrendous when it came to healing magic. Raylan was shit at being a healer. No matter how hard he tried the up-and-coming Archon just couldn't master it. He was better at healing others than he was himself he'd learned, but that was only when it was outside of combat. In the heat of battle he wouldn't be able to heal anyone or anything at all, he just couldn't focus enough. Too distracted by combat to focus a huge amount of his powers into healing. The best he could do was some slight after-battle-care.
Raylan had never been so grateful for his inherent toughness and durability, he could take a thousand punches and remain standing but he was unlikely to be able to heal a third of the injuries caused by it.
He prayed he wouldn't ever be in such a dire need of healing but he knew damn well he was more than likely going to be on deaths' doorstep multiple times on his journey. People don't just fight the gods and come out unscathed, there were consequences he would no doubt have to face.
He'd be lucky to come out of all this in one piece!
The thought didn't scare him in the slightest, even though he knew it should have. Perhaps he wasn't scared of dying after already dying once. Maybe he'd be reincarnated again into a different game once he died. Who could say?
Or maybe it was the fact that, right now, he had very little else to lose besides his life.
Raylan had nothing to his name beyond what he was capable of. No family, no friends, loved ones, no material possessions, nothing. Going into Teyvat he would only have the clothes on his back and a lot of good intentions.
The young man had to hope that that was enough to make a worthy life for himself in Teyvat.
With that thought in mind, Raylan had thrown himself back into his training. Both combative and not.
He was going to have to make something of himself, and he was going to make damn sure he was prepared enough to make something he could be proud of out of it.
/_\
Void Space: Year 100
It was almost time now. Just under one hundred years had come and gone, and here Raylan stood at the end of it all. Just half a year left now, six months and he'd be sent off to the world of Teyvat in order to battle the Gods.
How would he do it? He didn't know, but Istaroth seemed to have all the faith in him. Raylan was her chosen champion after all, the one she believed could change the fate of Teyvat, a wildcard of sorts that would shift how the game was being played. A new player on the scene.
Istaroth was as pleased as punch with his growth, having said he truly stood equal with other Gods of Teyvat. It was strange how Raylan sensed a hint of sadness and regret in her praise but he chalked that up to the God being upset at the idea of sending him out to war soon.
They'd grown close over the last century and Raylan knew Istaroth had few she could call a friend. So to see the one she saw as her closest friend heading out to battle the very Gods she once stood with must have been anxiety-inducing.
Which was probably why the God of Time had gifted him a little something never before seen in Teyvat.
A Clairvoyance.
So, Raylan knew about Visions and Delusions. But apparently, there was a third kind, a Clairvoyance, that sat on the opposite end of a Delusion. The three sat in an order of sorts, where Delusions were man-made and could be used by anyone but with a cost to the user, a Vision was gifted by an Archon but was one with its user, and a Clairvoyance? That could only be gifted by Gods themselves, specifically one of the four shades, and could only be attained by another God of a lesser station such as an Archon, supposedly, or a being of such power that they were divine in nature.
Meaning, to his knowledge, he was the only person that wielded a Clairvoyance in all of Teyvat and Celestia seeing as the Archons had never wielded them in the game. It consisted of a colorless shell that took the shape of a long, flexible metal sleeve that wrapped around his right arm, decorated with a symbol that meant Abyss near the shoulder.
Istaroth had explained that he needed to imprint his own energy into the shell once it was attached to his arm. Once the shell had been placed on his right arm, reaching from his wrist to his shoulder, Raylan pulsed his Abyss Void magic forcing it to the surface of his skin allowing it to graze the empty Clairvoyance shell.
His magic was immediately drawn into the shell upon contact, with the shell turning black from the Void energy, after pulsing for a few seconds black Void flames shimmered across its surface before the sleeve was absorbed into Raylans' skin.
The Void warrior expected pain when he saw the Clairvoyance seep into his skin, but to his pleasant surprise, he didn't feel a thing. He watched in amazement as black markings trailed up and down his arm. Black lines of various lengths and thicknesses spread across his arm like a series of tattoos with the symbol of the Abyss forming at his shoulder, a faint glow coming off the tattoos whenever he used his Void magic.
Raylan had been excited to learn more about his newest toy, about what it could truly do, but Istaroth had seemingly decided in her infinite wisdom to cock block him from using his Clairvoyance. Stating that now wasn't the right to use it and that it would aid him in his time of need.
About as vague an answer as you could fucking get really.
Once again, Istaroth didn't want to spoil anything.
Raylan truly cared for his friend, he really did, but she could sometimes be a major pain in the ass with her ominous bullshit. If she didn't want Raylan using it, fine, he could understand that but to not explain the damn thing? Really?
All she had said was that it was a blessing that would protect him from harm when the time came. He supposed it would have to do.
The Abyss warrior was willing to bet that if anyone found out about the Clairvoyance they'd be all over it. From the Abyss Order possibly killing him for it, to the Fatui doing something similar. Maybe even experimenting on him if they couldn't get the thing off him.
Wouldn't that be fantastic? Experimented on by the Fatui. Probably by the Good Doctor himself.
…
Yeah, fuck that. Raylan was going to make absolutely shit sure that only people he could trust ever learned of his Clairvoyance. If it's as powerful as Raylan expected it to be then letting it fall into the wrong hands was an awful idea.
But that wasn't the only gift Istaroth had decided to give him that day.
The God of Time had finally revealed to him the secrets of her Time Manipulation to him. The God explained to him that he would be able to manipulate time in various ways such as slowing time, slowing his perception of time, pausing time, and even reversing it.
However, Istaroth had warned him that nearly all of his powers related to time would be limited in scale. He couldn't reverse time going back years, he had minutes at best. The same went for slowing time and pausing it. Istaroth explained that messing with the flow of time in drastic ways could do irreversible damage if done carelessly or too often, so she warned that he shouldn't use her powers at all if possible. She wouldn't stop him in dire situations, but messing with time was completely off the table for now. It was too dangerous to disturb the flow of time since there was no counterbalance to his own use of it. She had said that once time was anchored against his use he could then use his time abilities as he saw fit, but until then it was better to avoid destroying time itself with some fuckery.
That was completely understandable.
Raylan didn't exactly want to be held responsible for time and space falling apart.
Luckily, slowing his perception of time wasn't something the God had stated Raylan could use as frequently as he wanted with few drawbacks beyond it being tiring for him and her. That power alone was fantastic, it made combat even easier when he could anticipate incoming attacks or movement with his advanced danger sense.
All he had to do was master his time manipulation abilities as best he could.
And that's exactly what he had been training with over the last two years.
Between time manipulation and polishing off his combat skills, the last decade of his training had proved to be the most hectic. Every second was utilized to the best of his abilities, every weapon, ability, and technique was rehearsed once more.
It wouldn't be long before training like this became a thing of the past, he'd have to find time to train when adventuring in Teyvat. Learning from actual combat experience in the field, and whatever he could from books as well. Doing all sorts of missions for others, and exploring the deepest, darkest ruins in search of secrets. Meeting people, making friends, making enemies, and still somehow finding time to enjoy himself and have fun in life.
It was a lot.
He was going to have to find his work/life balance.
Raylan knew he was going to be a busy man but he knew he could do it. The young man had faith in himself, and the confidence to say he was going to throw himself at all his obstacles until he got through them.
With a renewed vigor, the Archon of the Abyss continued to train, to prepare for what Teyvat held for him. The thought of what was to come only pushed him forward.
And he enjoyed every second of it.
Prepare yourself, Traveler! You aren't going to be the only Commission King around anymore!
/_\
Void Space: The Final Day
"It's finally time, huh?" Raylan asked absentmindedly. He knew it was but his mouth moved before his mind could catch up. His mind pre-occupied with all sorts of thoughts, from his training over the past century to what's the first thing he should do once he gets to Teyvat.
The young man had changed drastically over the last one hundred years. His frame was bigger than when he was alive in his own world, far bigger. Going from very fit to absolutely jacked and sculpted like a God. His face hadn't changed much and neither had his hairstyle, which remained in a ponytail with two small strains of hair going down either side of his face to his cheeks.
His clothing though was a different story. Nothing remained from his old outfit. He had to change into something more fitting a fighter, a god, and someone from Teyvat. A pair of jeans and a hoodie would do so Raylan had been forced to create new clothes, with the help of Istaroth.
His outfit now consisted of a white long coat that narrowed to two points at the bottom. Silver strips of metal decorated parts of his coat, like around the cuffs on his wrists and across his shoulders. On the back of the coat, a symbolic clock was etched into it, again using strips of silver metal to create the intricate design. Under the coat was a black undersuit vest with the symbol of the Abyss etched onto it right over his heart. Black metal strips curved around the vest like a second metal rib cage, leaving only the center of his chest unprotected.
His pants weren't anything special, a set of black trousers which fit his form snuggly. His long boots reached up to just below his knees and were tied together with three strapped on each.
The young god was certainly looking the part, although he wasn't sure he was going to keep this outfit forever. It was a bit too high class for him. Raylan was more practically-minded when it came to his clothes, but these worked just fine for now.
"Indeed it is, Raylan." The God of Time answered his unnecessary question, her voice soft like cotton. "I would ask if you are prepared to depart but we can't spend any further time here. I hope you are ready because there's no going back now." Her words grew softer, and Raylan could tell there was a hint of worry in her tone.
"Don't worry Istaroth," Raylan attempted to comfort her. "I'm ready, I'll face everything that's to come my way with a brave face and a weapon in my hand." He paused for a moment, "Or hand-to-hand, I do like the sound of that!"
"..." Her silence was telling, her worry only dispelling slightly, "I'm grateful for your resolve, my friend." Raylan smiled at the last two words.
"No worries," he replied, "We've put a century of work into this, now it's finally time to put what I learned to plan." As soon as the word plan left his mouth he had to wonder if he truly had one.
And the honest answer was no, he had an idea of what he should do and nothing more.
But that was par for the course with him.
"Perhaps I shouldn't tell Istaroth that…" The Void Warrior thought to himself. Better to leave his friend happy than upset and all that.
"I'm pleased to hear that, it's reassuring to know your resolve is strong and your mind ready." Istaroths' soft voice responded, completely missing what the young man had just thought, making Raylan wince ever so slightly in the process. "Just know that I will always be by your side even if I'm not always there to speak with you, no matter what foes you face I will always be with you."
"Thanks, Istaroth," said Raylan, genuinely touched by her words, "It helps to know I won't be walking into this completely alone. Let's get out there and get to work!"
"Let us be off then," Istaroth echoed, as a massive portal over three hundred feet tall formed in front of the young god.
"Heh, show off," Raylan muttered, to which he heard the softest giggle, as he took in the spectacle of a powerful, swirling, and pulsing portal forming in front of him.
"A word of warning, Raylan. Be aware that using this portal will drain me of my strength to some degree, and that I will need to recover once you step through. You might not hear me for the first day or so but know I am still with you, okay?" Istaroths words drew her friends' full attention from the portal, "I know what lay ahead, don't be surprised by what is to come on the other side. Know that it is how your journey is meant to start and all you can do is what you think is best."
"Gotcha," Raylan nodded in acknowledgment. "I'm sure I can handle whatever is on the other side."
"..." His friend was silent once again, "Be prepared for a Trial by Fire, Raylan." She warned, "Please be careful."
"Ominous to say the least, as per usual with Ista." Raylan thought before speaking, "I promise I'll be alright." She'd kill him for the nickname if she'd heard that, heh.
"Thank you." With her piece said, the God of Time went silent. Leaving Raylan to make the final move, the last step.
"Welp, time to kill bitches and fuck fathers!" With no hesitation in his movements, Raylan leapt through the portal leading to the world of Genshin Impact. Ready to take on whatever dared to get in his way.
With the power of the Gods, monstrous physical abilities, the magic of the Abyss Void, his Clairvoyance, and foreknowledge of what is to come in the game, Raylan couldn't be more prepared for his journey across Teyvat as he could be in that very moment.
It was time to take his first steps into the world of Teyvat.
To save who he could, and change fate itself.
And possibly start his own war on the Gods of Celestia and beyond.
C2: End
Edited - 20/10/22: Some small spelling errors and minor dialogue changes and additions.
Might make some edits to clean this chapter up at some point, we'll see. It's not as good as it should be in my opinion.
Anyway, surprise! We're skipping most of the training in favor of getting into the meat of the story. We'll see the training in more detail later, in future chapters during flashbacks, or if Raylan ends up explaining his training or powers to others but I doubt any of us are here to see an OC training for who knows how long. People are here to see the Genshin characters and how the OC will interact with them, how they'll change the story, let's be real here. Let's just assume that Raylan has plenty of powers like that of any Archon, or like that of the Adepti or Four Winds, or even higher, monstrous physical abilities, as well as unique powers and equipment such as his Time Manipulation (even if limited) and Clairvoyance which only Raylan has access to.
I hope people realize that I will be Meme'ing my way through this story as well, it's not going to be super serious all of the time.
As for Raylan's new outfit, imagine something similar to "young" Dilucs outfit, the one from his past, combined with Childes' outfit and a sprinkle of Zhonglis'. Use that as a reference for his appearance at this point. He'll be changing outfits throughout the story so it doesn't really matter. Picture him wearing whatever you prefer if you like, it doesn't matter.
Next chapter, which I hope will be soon, Raylan moves onto the world of Teyvat itself.
Review Responses:
Kurt Michael Caliva: Thank you.
runelt99: Well, as you can now see, I'm letting you lot decide that. It won't make that much difference to the story in all honesty. So if you want Lumine as the Traveler or the Abyss Princess then you can decide which of those you prefer. As for romance? Again, I'll likely allow people to decide that if that's what the readers want. If you want a romantic plot between the Abyss Archon and the Abyss Princess than by all means let that be your vote.
Thanks for reading, and for everyone who followed and favorited this story!
Till next chapter!
