Hiroshi was awakened from his slumber by the sound of a door opening. He got up and almost hit his head on the roof of the bunk. At first he could not see anything in the dark, but eventually his eyes adjusted. He could see that he was sitting up in his bed, startled at the noise of the dorm door opening so late in the night. His ears perked up at the sound, as he tried to determine who came into the dorm.

Is it Legoshi? Jack did say he was out doing things for drama, maybe he's returned.

Hiroshi continued to listen to the animal's footsteps, edging himself closer to the closed curtain as he did so. Hiroshi could hear the animal walk into the bedroom area, and briefly stand in the area.

Sniffing the air quietly, Hiroshi picked up the scent of an unfamiliar carnivore, along with another, more concerning scent, blood. He couldn't immediately pick up who the blood belonged to, since it was very faint, but the smell was still there.

Is this scent Legoshi's, and is the blood his? But why would he be bleeding?

Hiroshi assumed that the carnivore entering his dorm was, in fact, Legoshi, but who did the blood belong to? As Hiroshi focused his smelling on the faint blood smell, he heard who he thought to be Legoshi, approaching his bunk.

He stopped sniffing and laid back down, pretending to be asleep.

Why am I so scared? I'm sure that it's just Legoshi. And if he opens my curtain I'll just introduce myself and tell him I'm his new roommate.

But as the carnivore got closer, Hiroshi knew that he would not just introduce himself right away. In fact, he thought that it was very strange that Legoshi (if it really was him), didn't just go to bed after staying out so late with the drama club, and just introduce himself to his new roommate in the following morning, made Hiroshi very suspicious of the fact that he smelled blood on this large carnivore. This also made Hiroshi terrified, something that did not happen to him often.

Hiroshi curled into a ball, his eyes closed, pretending to sleep.

Why am I so scared? Whoever this is wouldn't try to hurt me with four other canidae in the room.

Hiroshi began to focus his hearing, and heard that the large carnivore was moving away from his bunk. The animal's footfalls moved towards the other side of the room, opening a curtain quietly, and climbing in the bed, and closing the curtain. Hiroshi did not relax, and realized that after this encounter, he wasn't going to be able to sleep.

At least the carnivore that entered the room was Legoshi. Hiroshi deduced this after hearing the animal climb into his bunk. But why did Legoshi walk over to his bunk? Perhaps he smelled a new scent and wanted to make sure no one intruded in his dorm. But he probably knew that he was going to have a new roommate, after all, Jack knew as soon as he came up to dorm 701.

And what about the scent of blood? It was faint but the smell was still there. Maybe it was Legoshi's blood, maybe something happened to Legoshi during drama club. But Hiroshi could not pinpoint the blood's scent belonging to anyone, even though his nose was very good at detecting different scents.

Hiroshi dreaded the morning. He would have to meet Legoshi. Deep down he knew that nothing bad would happen, since there were four other canidae in the room with him, but he still feared the meeting. He hoped that all of the things that happened this night were just strange things associated with (as Jack said)Legoshi's awkward behavior. This thought comforted him somewhat, though he doubted he would get much sleep tonight.

Hiroshi rolled over, uncurling from his previous position, and tried to fall asleep, images of what Legoshi could possibly look like drifting through his head.
