Alexus's Point of View
The video game was very exciting for me. When I ran into the bad dirt balls enough times, it would say game over, and I would start again. Axel said that it's a bad thing when it said game over, but not even his constant nagging me about jumping on the bad dirt balls and squishing them instead of running right into them could ruin my time playing the video game. It was the most fantastic experience of my life. When I had finally gotten the hang of it enough to get past the first level, Axel made me quit because we needed to go to dinner. I hadn't even noticed how hungry I was until he mentioned it.
"Thank you for showing me such an amazing enchanted contraption," I smiled as we walked down the steps.
"My pleasure. There is one thing I need you to do, though. Don't tell anyone about this. Especially your dad. We could get in serious trouble, and we wouldn't have video games anymore," Axel warned.
"My lips are sealed. Can we play more video games tomorrow?" I asked.
"I might not be the one watching you tomorrow. Besides, I might take you somewhere next time. After all that gaming, you could probably use some fresh air," Axel mentioned.
My smile fell. "But I was just getting the hang of it," I sighed.
"Hey, don't look so down. If you want, we can play some more tomorrow after dinner," Axel offered.
"Really?" I squealed.
"Really. Now come on, let's go," Axel urged.
"Okay," I agreed.
Hello, it's me again. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, even though it's short. I should have a couple more chapters coming up in a short while.
