FINALLY! No more chapter that starts with an S! It really starting to annoy me to the point that I could make a joke about it. So, it took me long enough to write this story due to me correcting some mistakes and make accurate statements due to…some people complaining and me being obliged to correct it.

Oh and the UNSC Forces from the Infinity that are stranded on Zeta Halo or Installation 07 as well as the backup forces, yeah they are not going to appear except for two. Not a Spartan but someone that you're familiar with. I will tell you this, there will be too many characters and I do not want to do a Dragon Ball route.

We're finally about to go back to the usual "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" plotline. Well, more like after this chapter.

Now then that's over, sit back and enjoy reading this chapter.

Halo Galactic Wars Chapter Five: Didn't Mean To Get Famous

In an office within the Senate building, the Master Chief sat silently as he listening to what Padme had to say about the Politics within the Galactic Republic. It had been a few minutes since his meeting with the Chancellor and now he is in another one. But this time, it was with a senator.

And the more she gave him, the more he wonder if the UNSC and the Republic were similar in some way.

"And as you can see the Russan reformation is the reason why the republic had no military for over a millennium. " The Naboo Senator informed the Spartan who was standing on the opposite side of her desk.

"..." Both Chief and Joy went silent upon hearing this. They knew what this was but to hear this from someone's perspective was rather something good to be listened.

"Um doesn't it sound rather..." Joy asked but hesitant to finish the rest of it.

"Odd?" The Master Chief finished it for her.

Padme look over at the two. She was quite surprised by the Spartan's reaction being so stoic in regard to the information given to him. "You seem to have heard this before?"

"We researched this subject before meeting you." The Master Chief stoically replied, which made the Naboo senator slightly wince at hearing his voice.

"And I assume you're not happy about it?" Padme asked the silent Spartan as he looked at her through his helmet. This is why sometimes helmets make her nervous.

"Well. Given what Chief had stated and what you had to say, not to mention from what I researched about the UNSC then... Yeah, he's kind of not." Joy said as Chief partly turned his head towards her with a stare.

Memories of what the Spartan had known from researching what the UNSC had done during his off times, the Chief was not a very big fan of their actions. But he was very aware of their questionable actions done to let the UNSC be the galactic police force to bring "Peace and Justice" to every known planet.

Padme blinked to what the AI on the Spartan's left palm. There was one word that caught her complete attention. "UNSC?" She raised an eyebrow upon hearing that.

"United Nation Space Command," Chief said before Joy could answer. The latter gave a sort of a childlike expression of annoyance as she wanted to say it.

Padme was quite interested about this UNSC that she heard about and wanted to know a bit more about it. Well, for now there was one question in mind that wanted to have been answered straight away. "Well, I was wondering if you can remove your—"

"That is not going to happen, Senator." Joy interrupted the Naboo Senator straight away. The AI had a feeling that she was going to pull a question that a particular Clone Captain was about to tell Chief back on the Rishi Moon Outpost.

"I beg your pardon?" Padme kindly spoke and blinked a few times after hearing this.

"His helmet?" Joy commented the obvious question that was on the Naboo Senator's mind. "Yeah, about that? It's not going to happen since he doesn't like to remove it."

"I assume there's a reason for this?" Padme asked curiosity.

"…" Master Chief didn't say anything upon hearing the Naboo Senator's question.

Fortunately, Joy could answer that. "Well, it is more like another part of him."

"Like what the Mandalorians would do about their armour?" Padme assumed to the Spartan.

Joy just shook her head in response to the Senator. "Unfortunately no. Chief isn't a Mandalorian if you cannot tell by looking at his armor design."

"I see. Tell me about this UNSC? Are they all like you or are you special?" Padme asked.

Chief went quiet for a few seconds and thought about what she had questioned. He was very aware that spilling any information would breach protocol. But he then thought back to the conversation between him and his AI had before arrived in the Senate Building. "I am a Spartan. Special Forces soldiers of the UNSC who are the sword and Shield to all of humanity."

Padme gave a confused look at chief when he mentioned about being the 'shield of humanity'. "You mean there aren't any other species besides humanity?"

"There are more species other than humanity from where we're from." The Master Chief clarified. "But that would be a subject for another time, Senator." He was saying this as he saw two unknown dots being flickered behind him and knew that these must be friendlies. Turning around after Joy retreated back into his armour, the Spartan then saw a male and female walking into the Naboo Senator's Office.

"Senator Organa? Senator Mothma?" Padme said, looking at her two friends.

"I'll take my leave then." The Spartan then spoke before leaving the room to let the Naboo Senator speak to her colleagues. He already knew that those two people were very curious about him but he had something important in his mind.

Seeing him leave the room, Senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila turned to look at her friend. "Was that the one that we've been hearing about?"

"Yes. The one who stopped the Separatist from invading Rishi Moon and save a group of clone troopers in the process." Padme answered her as her two friends sat down.

"Him saving clone troopers? Alone? All by himself?" Bail Organa of Alderaan spoke, raising an eyebrow at hearing what his Senator friend had stated.

"Yes, and from what I also heard he's from another galaxy beyond ours." Padme also added as she seen the shock looks on her friends faces.

"Another galaxy?!" Both spoke through their shocked reaction in unison at the same time.

It was at this time that Mothma realised something. "Is it true, Padme? He goes by the name of the Master Chief?"

Padme was shocked to hear this individual being spoken by multiple people. "It is. This is quite surprising to hear that he's getting famous around here despite him been here for a day. I never expected him to be spread out by people that quickly."

Bail Organa just nodded, "It reached us as soon as he arrived. He's the talk all over."

"Really? I never knew that." The Naboo Senator stated with the expression of surprised shown on her face. "How widespread is this talk about the Master Chief?"

"Enough for him to make holonet news." Mon Mothma answered her friend's curious question.

The three Senators were overwhelmed by what had transpired today. This stranger by the name of Master Chief had caught everyone's attention. Something is telling them that this armoured individual might change everything for the better… despite the Naboo Senator knowing his lack of speaking and his interest in political affairs.

"Well, perhaps we can talk about this another time. For now, we must discuss the matters for the Republic." Padme informed her two close friends, which both agreed as they nod.

-Scene Change-

Thanks to Joy's assistance, the Master Chief managed to make his way out of the Senate building. But during his way out, he can see everyone taking a quick glance at him and even some murmuring. "I cannot believe that you are actually getting famous, Chief." His AI Companion commented through his comms.

"…" The Master Chief didn't reply as he continued to make his way back to the Jedi Temple. He never wanted himself to be talked upon many people. From what he heard, many make speculations about him and even some theories about him. He just shrug it off like leaves during the Fall season.

He is still a Spartan after all and it is his job to protect all of humanity from any threats. All the fame and stories about him felt like it was holding him back. Which is why he never considered himself to be a famous figure.

As he entered the city centre, something had grabbed his attention. From what he can tell, it was some sort of news network. Chief then heard the newsman speaking about a subject that he exactly knew what was about to be spoken out of his mouth.

"You dealt with this before?" Joy asked inside his helmet when the newsman began talking about him and looked at the photo of the Spartan taken on the Resolute.

"... A lot of times." Chief answered stoically as he tried to avoid the people who were glaring at him in either awe or whatever they're feeling after hearing that anchor-man talk about the Spartan.

Thinking that the glare was out of hand, Master Chief then proceeded to pull his left arm out and used his grappling hook to quickly get back to the Jedi Temple. He still didn't trust the Jedi, but at least it is the only safe place where he feels totally safe.

Dusk hit the Republic Capital City. After a few grapples, the Spartan managed to arrive at the Jedi Temple. All of a sudden, he was suddenly greeted by a familiar youngling not too long ago. "Wait, isn't that...?" His AI Companion was about to say as they saw a Togruta running towards them at the entrance.

"Hey Chief. Didn't realize you'll be back here so quick?" Ahsoka said as she walked up to Chief. He then looked at her with Ahsoka not sure what Chief's doing behind that helmet of his.

Rather than letting out a sigh, Chief proceeded to pull his left palm out. There, Joy's avatar appeared and smiled at the young Togruta Padawan. "We were just having a small discussion."

Master Chief then revealed what was lingering within his mind for a while now. This was very recent and he needed someone, although he never trusted, to hear. "They are talking about me all of a sudden."

"Well, truth be told, it's when Rex and the boys of the 501st were the ones to spread the news about you, Big Green." Ahsoka revealed to him with a sheepish tone heard within her voice.

Joy proceeded to laugh at the nickname whereas the Spartan just ignored it. Through his time within the UNSC, he was called by many things among both Marines and the Civilians. Big Green is one of the first nicknames that he had never heard of. "Why did they?"

"Why did they call you that?" Ahsoka asked to which Chief nodded in response to which she answered with a smile on her face, "Cause you're big and your armor is green."

"Um…" He heard his AI Companion say and the Padawan look at Joy to see the expression of uncertainty. "I think he wants to know why the Clones are talking about him and spreading it to everyone? Not what you said."

"Oh..." That part she was unsure of. That is when something had popped in Ahsoka's mind, "Maybe you could speak to Rex and the boys. They would know about this more than me."

"Show me where they are." Chief ordered. His cold but very stoic tone made the Padawan wince a bit as she wasn't used to hearing his voice. Yet she had somehow respected his request. Rather odd for her to not deny that since he was a total stranger.

Not wanting to waste more time, the Padawan then turn to the direction of the Jedi Temple. "Come. I'll show you where they are, Big Green."

"…" The Master Chief didn't say anything. Nodding his head to Joy and soon he began to follow the Padawan into where Rex and the famed 501st were within the grounds of the Jedi Order.

Making their way towards the 501st's location, Joy couldn't help but feel curious about Ahsoka, "Say didn't you tell us your name?"

The Padawan turned her head towards the AI. She was about to say when her Spartan Companion beat her to it, "General Skywalker introduced her name to us. She is wondering what species you are?" In the eyes of the Master Chief, she looked like a hybrid between a human and some sort of reptilian animal that he saw in both textbook during his down time and even back on Forerunner Installations.

"I'm a Tortuga." Ahsoka answered as she turns around while she's walking then turns around to continue heading towards their destination.

"Togruta?" The AI quietly murmured before she look back at Chief. "I do not know if this is true, but I manage to hear that their bites are poisonous." Unknown to the AI, Ahsoka shot a quick glare at her. Master Chief noticed it but never uttered a word.

"We need to do more research on her species as well as the others." The Master Chief stoically spoke back to the AI. Now this reminded him back of boot camp where he and the other Spartan IIs had lessons with regards to war and military throughout the century.

The trio then reach the hangar bays located not to far from the Temple. In one area, Ahsoka and the two individuals saw a certain Captain speaking to his men as well as a certain squad that Chief had encountered not too long ago. How can he tell? Well, the Spartan noticed the fresh blue paint job done to their armour as well as one with having a handprint on the right side of his chest plate on a certain clone Rookie.

One of the clones who didn't have anything on saw Chief and pointed at the Spartan. "Hey, it's him!"

In an instant, all known Clones surrounded the Master Chief and he was lucky that Joy back into his armour. This made the Spartan move his fingers around at the feeling of being very uncomfortable and was asked a lot of questions. Seeing this through his helmet made his AI Companion laugh at seeing this. "They seemed to like you, Chief?"

Master Chief didn't say anything as the Clone continued to barrage him with a range of questions.

"Is it true that you took on several droids?"

"You're much bigger than we're told."

"You're amour looks unique!"

"Enough." Master Chief raised his hand up to make ever Clone quiet. As much as he wanted to answer everyone, he needs at least one person speaking at the same time. "I cannot answer all of your question in one go. So ask me one question at a time, then I can answer it."

With that said, the Spartan begun to answer the Clones' questions that they wanted to get answered. Ranging from nods to necessary information that didn't compromise UNSC protocol to saying "Classified," whenever they ask a curious question.

Ahsoka, meanwhile, couldn't help but sense a sense of respect that was coming from him. It was cold and blunt yes, but at the same time it was filled with honesty. "Say Chief..." Said individual look back at the Padawan who had the expression of curiosity, "So, how many battles have you partaken in?"

"Countless, Ma'am." The Spartan responded back to her. He was a Spartan after and being the sword and shield of humanity, he and his siblings were always sent to the frontlines. During the Human-Covenant War and its post-conflicts.

The Padawan said as she eyed at the Spartan's words. Without wasting a second, she decided to join with the Clone Troopers of the 501st to have their curious questions being answered. While this was going on, the Master Chief had a feeling that two certain individuals were watching the commotion happening from the far side of the bay.

"Well it seems he's more popular around here than I give him credit for." Obi wan joked to Anakin who in turned roll his eyes.

"I can see that Master." Anakin said as he was looking at what was unfolding. This was quite an unusual site to see.

For as long as he can remember, he was once a slave on the sandy planet of Tatooine before becoming a Jedi under the guidance of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Just thinking about his childhood within his home planet reminding him of his failure of saving his mother and he closed his eyes to get rid of that thought.

"Anakin." The individual look back at his former master who was looking at him with concern. "Is there something in your mind?"

Obi-Wan's former Padawan shook his head. "There's nothing on my mind, Master."

All the while, in Yoda's mediation chamber within the Jedi Temple, he was trying to figure out what exactly Master Chief is. Not only that but to find out where he heard that voice before. He knew the voice that his Companion had was from some years ago. Yet… something about her made him feel off. He heard the door open and coming in was Mace Windu.

"Master Windu." Yoda greeted his Jedi colleague.

Windu crossed his arms across his chest as he can sense that the Grandmaster was meditating for an entire day. "You've been here for a day now. Is there something wrong?"

"Strange presence, this Master Chief brings. The Force, different it is." Yoda answered while still being in a meditative state.

The dark-skinned Jedi Master looked at him in suspicion. True, the Force was weird with the Master Chief around but he somehow brought something? "What do you mean, Master Yoda?"

Yoda put a hand to his chin as he pondered over his next words, "Uncertain I am. Much know, we do not."

Both Jedis were in the same state as they thought about it. Over the past day, the Force was acting very funny and perhaps all known Force Sensitive could only detect a void within the Master Chief. To them, this means something.

Whatever arrived alongside with the Spartan must have been a sign of something. Something akin to that of a change within the Force.

That was a thought that Mace Windu had but to the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, he knew that with his presence, what was initially foretold was now replaced by something that was far more devastating.

"I feel as if we should keep an eye on him. With this Darth Sidious and Dooku in our wakes, we must be careful." Windu said after some thought as he looked out of the window.

Enjoyed this short but enjoyable chapter? Well, I am aware of the length of this chapter, which is why the next chapter I am about to write will be much longer. This will be a two chapter arc that will have one major surprise.

Get ready! We are now entering the Maridun Arc. Where Spartan 117/Master Chief will be surprised to see someone that he hasn't seen for six months. Remember what I said in the beginning of chapter One? You are about to find out.

Just read the Rubicon Protocol and I have to say that book shows the brutality of a certain Faction that managed to curb stomp the UNSC Infinity, even though it wasn't in its best condition, and shows the desperation and determination of the remaining Spartan IV survivors. That is all I am going to put as I will only be spoiling it for you.

Crimson Soldat: I am actually enjoying this chapter and the next one will be long and fun. Just to heads up, me and jojobinks01 are going to follow the Clone Wars Plotline for a bit but are going to make some alternatives to suit this story. This will include both Cannon and Legends materials.

Jojobinks01: yup and trust me there's some things here you don't want to miss.

And speaking of which, how come none of you realises Yoda is connecting some dots between Joy (Formerly known as the Weapon) and Cortana? Sheesh, you are missing out a lot. I really do hope you enjoyed this chapter despite having OOC moments.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter despite the blatancy and any errors made in this chapter. Review this chapter and I and jojoblink01 will see you all in the next chapter. Whenever the next one will be published.
