Alexus's Point of View
Mr. Xemnas came into my room a couple of hours after Axel left. "Axel said that you didn't want to come to dinner. Can you tell me why?" Mr. Xemnas asked.
"I didn't feel like it," I huffed.
"Alright," Mr. Xemnas replied. He didn't say anything else, but he didn't leave either. He just stood in my room.
"I read one of Mama's letters. I miss her," I explained.
"I wondered if that was why," Mr. Xemnas mentioned.
"Did you love her?" I wondered.
"I used to. That was a long time ago," Mr. Xemnas answered.
I could feel tears trying to come through, but I tried to blink them away. "Is that why you left?" My voice was hoarse from holding back tears.
"No. Your mother was sent away from me. I didn't leave," Mr. Xemnas stated.
"What?" I gasped.
"I suppose she wouldn't have told you that," Mr. Xemnas sighed.
"That doesn't make any sense. Who sent her away? Why?" I questioned. A few tears were released.
"I'm sorry. I'm not supposed to tell you. It was one of your mother's wishes. Just keep reading the letters when you're supposed to. You'll understand someday," Mr. Xemnas said.
"What can you tell me?" I huffed.
Mr. Xemnas paused to ponder what he would say next. "I'll admit, I'm unsure. Your mother wrote everything that you would need to know in her letters. I trust her judgment on when you are ready better than mine. I suppose I can tell you this; There have been many adjustments over the past few days. I am aware that it has been difficult, and if there is anything I can do to help you ease into this new life, you can tell me, and I will do nearly anything to make it happen. I want to be able to give you a good life, but I'm new to this and prone to mistakes."
Mr. Xemnas sounded sincere, but I still didn't trust him. I didn't ever fully believe his story about Mama being sent away, but I would eventually read about it in Mama's letters if what he said was true. "The only way that you could make this any easier would be if you could bring Mama back," I grumbled.
"If I could, I would have already done so," Mr. Xemnas sighed before he left the room.
