Xemnas's Point of View

The day after telling Alexus about what I was, I waited for her look of disgust or contempt, but it never came. She had been perfectly pleasant the whole day, and I was concerned. Even before I told her, we hadn't had the best relationship. I had expected any acceptance she had of me to vanish the minute I told her, but she was the same girl I had spoken to yesterday. Nothing had changed. I was glad that Myka had invited us over because I needed to know exactly what it was she had told Alexus. "Are you ready to go?" I asked Alexus when the time to leave was near.

"Almost!" Alexus called from her room. She came down shortly after in one of her dresses. "I thought I would change since I'm not going through a dark corridor."

"Come. Let's be going," I said. Alexus took my hand as we walked to Myka's house.

When we could see the small house, Alexus let go of my hand and ran toward it. Her friend, Joseph, came outside. "Joe!" She exclaimed.

"Alexus!" Joseph called back.

Myka stepped out of the house. "Go inside, children," she ordered. Alexus and Joseph went inside giggling. Myka turned to me. "I didn't expect you to come."

"Alexus said you invited me," I explained.

"Well, yes, but I didn't expect it nonetheless. Still, I'm glad you did. There are matters we must speak on," Myka mentioned.

"If you invited me here, it must be important," I commented.

"Things regarding Alexus are always important," Myka stated.

"Speaking of which, what is it that you said to my daughter yesterday? I thank you for it, but I'm almost worried about her. She hasn't given me any problems since then," I brought up.

"Has she been better today? She was quite distraught yesterday when she came. I explained that if she doesn't form a relationship with you now, she may regret it for the rest of her life. Especially if you died before she got to know you. It was hard for her to take since her mother just passed, but she understood what I was saying," Myka explained.

"Why are you helping me? Don't you hate me?" I wondered.

"I do, but Alexus needs a firm foundation. One that I cannot provide if I am called back. I would take her, but that's not what her mother wants," Myka sighed.

"I'm glad to know that my daughter is important to you. I don't have many people I can trust," I replied.

"I can promise you that me, Dulcie, and Bess are always safe for Alexus," Myka added.

"Is there any advice you have for me? I have never done these things before," I inquired.

"Lots, starting with don't threaten her with Ralene," Myka answered.

"You heard about that," I commented.

"Yes. Alexus knows she can tell me anything. Here's another piece of advice. If I find enough cause for concern, I will be taking Alexus back with me regardless of Claria's wishes," Myka remarked with a less pleasant tone.

"So then, are you my friend or my enemy?" I questioned.

"That depends entirely on Alexus and how you treat her," Myka said.

"You don't have to worry. Alexus will be safe so long as I can provide safety for her," I assured Myka.

The door to the house opened, and Alexus poked her head through it. "Are you coming?" She asked.

"We'll be right there, dear," Myka reassured her. Myka turned back to me. "My one goal is to do what's best for Alexus. So long as we have the same goal, we are allies. Nothing more and nothing less."

"I can respect that. I only want what's best for her," I agreed. We went inside and pretended to have a good evening, but I knew that they all despised me despite their smiles. Despite that, I knew I could trust them. Alexus meant more to them than any amount of anger they had toward me. For a moment, I considered leaving Alexus with them, but I knew that was not what Claria wanted. I didn't think that the original Xehanort would have wanted that either. All I could do was take care of Alexus in his place until the time of his return.

Thank you, zack24, for favoriting and following. Thank you, Tara Mccann, for your review.

I hope all of you aren't tired of Alexus's home world. I promise they will return to the Organization, but I have some more chapters I need to write first.
