"There you have it, the winner of the final match in the fourth round is Luna Strife!" The crowd cheered for me as I walked back to the waiting area. It was Jason Gon who was the announcer. As I made my way to the waiting area I was met by Nix.

" You beat my sister, now that's a shock" I teased her and she looked the other way. I then cleared my thoughts. "Sorry, it's rude of me to act in such a manner as student council president" I changed my demeanor. Nix just rolled her eyes.

"She seemed like she had a lot on her mind," Nix remarked. I then studied the room as we were a part of the remaining eight students in the evergreen tournament.

"Hello, if I could have your attention" I turned my attention to the tv which showed Tyler Loft and Jason Gon in the commentator booth.

"We've had a great number of fights this tournament and it is only the end of Friday," Tyler remarked.

"I know and there are some promising students as well as ones who showed a lot of promise but got knocked out early" Jason complimented. "How about a little recap" then a small video appeared on the screen.

"We have Zeek Blitz who lost in round two against Pollon Strife. He showed great electric control as well as understanding. Very strong but he needs to figure out if he wants to do close-quarters fighting or distance" Tyler remarked.

"On the topic of Pollon Strife who just lost in round four not too long ago to Jinx Potter. She shows immense psychic control as well as versatility with it, but she gets very overwhelmed if she uses her power too much. Which led to her downfall against Nix" Jason commented.

"Let's not forget an aspiring contest star, however, he lost round one. His name is Luke Angel. I think he may have forgotten it was a normal battle and not a contest battle. Though between you and me if I was the judge he would have barely lost any points allowing him to get to round two" Tyler laughed at his own joke and Jason joined in.

"Now let's talk about those still in the tournament, there are a few who have my eye. Like the crass Altaria known as Rebecca Lance or Ace. She proves that Altarias can be physically strong as well as mean and cute as they are. I wouldn't be surprised if she won the whole thing" Jason cheered her on. I'm not sure how I feel about that as she has been rude to everyone she comes across lately. Her name has been coming up in disciplinary meetings lately.

"One who I had the chance to go against in a contest held here and her name is Luna Strife!" I was flattered that I had caught Tyler's eye which had meant a lot. "She pairs elegance with strength so easily and her movements are so fluent. Improvements from when I saw her last year. Keep up the good work" Tyler's words put a smile on my face.

"Lastly we have a crowd favorite Jinx Potter, she prefers to be called Nix. Everyone loves how calm and collected she is one second and then ruthless the next. With her aiming for cheap shots at all times it's hard for her to lose" Jason acknowledged the crowd and I bet Nix is shocked right now.

"I guess the other students should watch out for these three, but that's enough of that. We'll show you your round five pairings for tomorrow. The computer already did the shuffle and here are tomorrow's four matches on-screen" On the screen, we saw the four matches and I was up against Ace. This will be interesting. To be honest I haven't said a thing to her since the summer.

"Now everyone get your rest for tomorrow because it will be the mark of day three. Now everyone goodnight" Jason waved and then the screen went black.

~Kai's~

After round two was done for the day Tailside called the elite to our classroom for a meeting. I was with Nexus getting lunch since he invited me out. I'm glad no one was around since I decided to sit in the same booth as him and cuddle up next to him. As a friend, he said he would help comfort me and I felt really comfortable like I've done this before. I then am reminded of the kiss we shared.

"Kai, what are you thinking about" I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't realize Percy and Sydney joined us.

"I'm not sure but I can guess" I heard Nexus's teasing voice.

"Who's side are you on!" I shouted. To think I could relax and be myself around him. Actually, I'm being myself around these three and it makes me feel happy again. I then felt a bit of pressure run through my head as if someone was using their psychic ability on me. We continued our idle chatter and made it to the classroom where Tailside and our classmates were waiting for us.

"Glad you can join, now for us to get started" Tailside got behind his podium and we all sat down. From the back room appeared Tyler, Axel, Blaze, and Jason. You could hear whispers from throughout the room. "I have a few announcements and they cover both the class change race and the PWT invitational" I could hear a light growl from Nexus and I noticed he does that only around Tailside. "To help you do well in the class change race you will all be given a mentor one of us five here. On-screen will be a mentor and your name attached to them" When the screen turned on I saw my name attached to Tyler.

"This is unacceptable!" Nexus stood up.

"What is the problem?" Tailside asked.

"The problem is I'm learning from a criminal and everyone is acting as if it's okay. Even the ones who fought him are acting as if it's okay" Nexus had an outburst. Everyone turned to Tailside in shock.

"As much as I didn't expect that to get out of Ferrum. Though I have been through rehabilitation and got my teaching license renewed" Tailside then got cut off.

"Do you think that's enough you worked for the Notorious MT, you plunged Ferrum into chaos for your own research" Nexus continued.

"How do you know all that?" Tyler asked.

"I'm talented with technology plus a cousin of mine goes to school there" Nexus calmed down to give a response to Tyler.

"I was doing as MT told me but my research was to help everyone just by what I'm doing now" Tailside seemed annoyed but kept his calm demeanor. "Now Macalister, if you would sit back down" Nexus did as he was told. Looking back at the screen Nexus got Tailside as his mentor. Percival and Fang are with Axel. Jai and Sydney are with Jason. Lastly, Corrode ended up with Blaze.

"Now we will explain the PWT Invitational" Blaze changed the screen. " Right now in Ferrum, they are selecting fifty students to go compete in the Galar League senior division for next semester. Though this PWT Invitational is a qualifier for the youth division. It's broken up into two stages one is the survival stage and the second is the test phase" He then changed the screen. "That's all I'm allowed to share for now" Blaze then left the room.

"Now for me to explain the class change race is around the corner in less than a month" It was Axel's turn to talk. "Remember if you lose at any point to a normal student you will lose your elite rank. This tournament has two stages as well. You will have five days in the Labyrinth to search for an exit to the surface; those who are able to exit will compete in a tournament. Anything will go in the Labyrinth besides killing" Axel then changed the screen then left.

"Lastly on the screen is when we are available and where we will be. These training sessions are optional" Jason put emphasis on 'optional.' Jason also left the room.

"We all hope to see you succeed and oh those who pass the PWT Invitation will be traveling with the strongest Ferrum has to offer" Tyler then took his leave.

"That is all for today you are all dismissed" Tailside left the room as well.

"Hold it!" Nexus tried to get Milo's attention but he was gone.

"You need to calm down" I tried to comfort him. Nexus just shrugged me off and went to the elevator and I followed. I chased him all the way outside and he still wouldn't talk.

"Nexus after I finally open up to you, you shut me out" I ran in front of him. I saw his eyes widen with shock as I did that as if he was hit with a memory. "That's really shitty of you" I tried to wake him up from his daze.

"Puffy, I didn't mean to" Nexus started and I was hit with memory. I haven't heard that nickname since I was a kid. When I was younger and traveled with my dad a lot we were stationed in Kalos for six months. I was friends with an Axew and his parents were researchers in pokemon anatomy. Since our parents were busy we would play together all the time. He would call me Flame and I'd call him Tusks. Does that mean I knew Nexus before he came to school here? Why did I suppress that memory? I shook my head. Now I need to focus on what just happened. "Sorry I didn't mean to call you by the name of an old friend" Nexus apologized.

"No need, just explain what's wrong," I asked. He started walking and I was beside him.

"My parents are pokemon anatomy researchers and aided that man in his research for pokemon potential. They followed him wherever they went, leaving me alone at home. I kept up with their advancements and was proud but I was angry that Tailside took my parents away from me. Then the whole scandal in Ferrum happened. Those who aided him were also arrested, my parents included. When I found out he'd be teaching here I knew it was my chance to get answers and revenge" By the time Nexus finished his story we made it back to our room. I had no clue he had so much rage in his head. Though that's also no wonder he knows so much about pokemon vital points.

"Nexus, If there is any way I can help?" I asked as I got him some moomoo milk.

"Is it okay if I could sleep in your bed tonight?" he asked. I looked into his red eyes and all I saw was weakness. As long as he and I are vulnerable, our friendship can bloom.

"Yes, we should get to bed anyway. It's getting late" I said and Nexus nodded. He went to his room to change and I went to my room and changed into some boxers with stars on them and put on my collar without thinking the door opened and Nexus was there. In his Glasses and shorts with computers on them. I could see a shade of crimson appeared on his face. "This is how I sleep, got a problem then say so" I scolded him while I was also embarrassed. I curled up on my heated rock. Nexus then moved over to the bed.

"Why not join me here?" He gestured to the bed. I didn't even answer, I just got up from my rock and joined him under the covers. My body is moving on its own now and I'm in bed with my roommate. Do I like him? I must, for us to kiss twice and me not reject it.

"Can I hold you close?" I asked. Nexus then pulled me into his chest.

"For you Puffy, anything" Nexus kissed me on my forehead, and before long sleep took me away.

~Luna's~

(Battle - Xenoblade chronicle 2)

I'm ready for this, it would suck for me to lose after making it this far. I didn't ask for all of this to only be mediocre. I wanted to change Pollon's and mine's life for the better. That means I have to prove myself here and then make myself an elite in the class change race. With everything within my grasp, I can soon go to school in Kalos.

"The winner of the third match is Nix Potter meaning we are one match away from being at the semifinals" our announcer today was Jason. " Would Luna Strife and Ace Lance come to the field?" Jason announced and I did as I was told. Coming out to the Evergreen stadium I'm ready to take down Ace, easy. I swapped out my scope lens for my mega stone and made sure it was the pendant of my necklace.

"Hey Luna I have nothing against you but as long as you stand by that Shit stick I see you no longer as my friend. Though as long as I win this tournament I am one step closer to salvation" Ace looked happy while saying the last line. That was weird, Ace was never one to be all about God.

"That's rude of you to say, if you can't accept your friend for who they really are, were you friends at all?" I defended Kai.

"Seems these claws are out and the ladies are ready to fight, let the battle begin!" Jason Cheered.

We both flew up in the sky, been a while since I did a sky battle. That doesn't mean I'm rusty. As we were flying high a red aura flared around her as if she was using dragon dance. It won't matter to boost your stats if you go down to one move. I started spinning and my body started to light up.

"Try and dodge this my Dazzling Gleam!" bright lights went off in every direction. It sent Ace off balance and she started flying half haphazardly. I took my chance and flew down with a dive and charged up a ball dark as night and blasted it right at her. She fell onto the stadium floor.

"Look at that everyone, Student council president Luna is killing it on the battlefield with elegance and strength" Jason Cheered for me.

"I will not lose not ever because the power of salvation and glory is on my side" Her body was bathed in a white light that forced her to mega-evolve. What is that power, she is still bathed in the white light.

"This is not time to be messing around" activating my mega stone. I was trapped in a pearl-like cage. My red and blue edges grew out like rudders and my wings grew out more allowing another pair to grow beneath them in the respective colors of red and blue. My tail grew out too and my cage broke revealing my mega form.

"Time for us to end this and if I win I'll do to you like the others who lost to me and give them some of this power and guidance to salvation" Ace charged at me as if she was going to hit me and then dodged at the last second. What is she after? I changed directions and she shot a beam of ice my way. I then started racing my way toward her and she was alongside me.

"Look at that speed everyone, they are evenly matched" Jason announced. She then shot beams of ice my way and I started to counter with flamethrower. An aerial battle I wasn't prepared for. She then shot me in my wing and it completely froze causing me to start flying dangerously as I was falling.

"I have you where I want you and this is it" Ace exclaimed. She did a loop da loop and was cloaked in red and instantly changed to blue. That's Brave Bird. "You're finished" She sliced past me and it sent me right back into the stadium floor. I can't get up because it hurts too much. I then noticed my mega transformation ended and that was enough of an indication for them to call it.

"The winner of this match going to the semifinals is Ace Lance" Jason called out. The crowd cheered as I pried myself off the stadium floor. I'm sorry Pollen, I couldn't do it.

"As promised I have a gift for you" Ace pulled out a diamond-like crystal and placed it in my hand. Instantly it sunk into my flesh and it hurt. "I've been giving anyone who loses to me these crystals and they will become stronger. With our power will be in the grace of our lord" Ace went on and I was barely holding on to consciousness. "Why would you do that" after I said that everything went black and it felt like I was falling.

~Percival's~

(Circhester Theme - Pokemon)

"The winner of the final match is Ace Lance," Tyler announced. Who would have thought that little altaria would win the whole thing? I thought Nix, Kai's older sister, would win. Sadly she lost to some rando in the semi-final that Ace just beat. It just makes things interesting. "With the tournament taking more time than we originally planned for, the homecoming parade is being held tomorrow, Monday and the dance will be that night" Tyler announced. That's right because when we planned the tournament last week this was only supposed to last until Friday, guess Lumino changed his mind. This means he thinks we have time, my master said we won't know when danger will hit and try our best not to let it infect another region. Kanto, my home.

"Hey, are you thinking about home again?" Sydney snapped me out of my thoughts and placed our milkshakes on the tables. We decided to go to a diner in town to celebrate that the Evergreen tournament was over.

"A little, but can you blame me?" I sighed. I slurped my milkshake and loved it. It was mint with a tomato berry, and Oreos mixed in.

"Well maybe going to those mentor sessions will help take your mind off it and maybe you'll learn a thing or two" Sydney tried to help.

"Why should I go when I know how all of this ends, I'll go because you only go through high school once" she gave me a smile and sipped on her drink. I blushed a bit but went back to making work on my own drink. Is this a date or us hanging out? I'm not sure. Though it feels nice to relax like this with Sydney, I don't get chances like this often. Maybe I should invite Kai and Nexus? It could be a double date.

"What are you thinking about over there you look like a love-sick puppy" Sydney came at me.

"Nothing!" I turned my head to look out the window.

Action: Another chapter is done.

Ace: It seems I'm the victor, suck it bitches.

Nix: What?

Ace: I mean forgive me, father.

Luna: I'm so sorry Pollon.

Pollon: No need to apologize, You did great.

Kai: Can we stop with this apology party?

Nexus: I don't think you have a say in this.

Jason: Just saying everyone did a great job.

Tyler: I agree.
