The darkness surrounding Ochaco faded and all around her stars were floating. "My god, it's full of stars." She whispered. As the light of the stars faded, she found herself standing in the training room, there was this roar all around her. She suddenly noticed that everyone was pinned to the floor. Not only were they pinned but they were being pushed into it. She looked and saw Izuku attempting to reach out to her, as it slowly dawned on her that this was her doing. She had magnified the gravity in the entire area.
I need to try and turn this off.
Do or do not, there is no try.
FUCKING REALLY!
No really Ochaco you should probably stop.
I am not sure how.
Like a switch Ochaco, just feel it deep inside and flip the switch.
Ochaco did just that, she closed her eyes and felt it deep in her belly, a pull from inside just radiating outward. Slowly she wrapped herself around it, pulling it all deep inside. She felt it sputter and then just fade. When she opened her eyes, she saw everyone getting to their feet.
What was it like?
Amazing!
"I take it the test was a success then?" Mina said as she made her way to her feet.
"I would say so," Ochaco said with a smile as suddenly her body felt heavy and she dropped to a knee, feeling extremely exhausted. "What the hell?"
"You unlocked something new with your quirk and went overboard, it is Quirk exhaustion," Torino said.
"So can you tell us what happened?" Izuku asked.
"Honestly it was beautiful, it was full of stars" Ochaco said. She told them about how everything faded and the stars, the black hole holding it in her hands, then the child. Ochaco paused as she described the child, it stirred something inside her, she lightly placed her hand on her chest as she finished the description. Then the light pulses like a heartbeat leading to darkness.
"Who was the child?" Mina asked.
"I don't know maybe it is something inside One for All?" Ochaco said looking towards Izuku.
"Not that the old man has said he is saying that he has seen nothing like that," Izuku responded. "Can you access that power again? Or is it a temporary thing?"
Ochaco closed her eyes and reached for that same place, it was there but not as strong as before. But she could feel it, slowly she allowed it to begin to flow. As she placed her hand on a chair it shuddered for a moment before it began to crumple down to the ground. Sweat poured from her brow as she pulled it back in, it was difficult it wanted to expand past her control. It felt almost like it was hungry, it wanted to consume. It's just like a black hole; once it starts it doesn't stop.
The others watched in amazement as the chair crumpled and lights dancing from Ochaco were positively mesmerizing, the way they swirled and orbited her. They all began to feel a little tug when she turned off the effect.
Ochaco opened her eyes and smiled. "This is going to take some work to get a hold of."
"I wonder if she can use it on her body, and can she switch between Float and this new power. For example, would she be able to launch herself then increase gravity and come crashing down like a meteor, or can she maybe use it on a single body part like her fist to increase the impact of a punch? If she used it in a large area like before, can she exclude people from the effect or is it only herself." Izuku muttered.
Your muttering again.
Izuku stopped and blushed some as his friends laughed.
"Those all sound like great ideas but as of right now, I think I should eat and rest before I start testing this any further. It is kind of weird, when I overuse Zero Gravity I lose my lunch, but right now I feel like I can eat an entire buffet." She said.
Mina smiled "Well then girl let's go get changed and get some food."
"Do you have any idea what you are going to call it?" Eijiro asked as they made their way to the locker rooms.
"Black Hole," she said with a smile.
-Gran Torino-
Is this all happening? Did this kid and the voice in his head realize something that none of the others did? What Ochaco just did was not within her capabilities as of 10 minutes ago but now she is increasing gravity instead of removing it. It may be possible that this is an ability she may have grown into later via a quirk awakening and this just jumpstarted the whole thing early. But what if that was never a possibility and this is all One for All's doing?
What will happen when he does the same with Rocky and Pinky? Will their quirks alter or just become empowered? Ignore the fact that the very existence of One for All is dangerous and needs to be kept a secret but imagine if anyone finds out that he can empower quirks. Hell, what if he is causing quirk awakenings? This is beyond dangerous. I need to get a hold of Toshi and have him tell David about this or we need to talk to Nezu.
Torino was pulled from his thoughts of the zygotes laughing as they were eating ramen. Ochaco was blushing furiously as she ate her third bowl. He had not been very happy with Toshi for his choice nor the new bearer of One for All to share his secret with the others in his group but the more he watched the better it was. Toshi had carried the burden all alone, with no one to depend on, Izuku wouldn't have to do that. Besides there was nothing wrong with Symbols of Peace as opposed to just one Symbol.
-All-Might-
The cup of tea almost tumbled from his hand as he got off the phone with Torino. THEY HAD DONE WHAT? AND IT WORKED! What would have been an absurd idea in the first place, spawned by Mr. Tracy having an issue with the name One for All, had not only worked but had worked amazingly. His old teacher was right, they needed to talk to David Shield and Nezu as well. The ramifications are potentially insane. Would this work on anyone or did they have to have some connection to Izuku? I need to talk to young Midoriya and see get a detailed explanation of how they pulled this off.
-Mina-
She sat there holding hands with Izuku as the gentle warmth wrapped around her body, she giggled as it danced and wrapped around her.
Mina: I must admit I like this feeling.
Mr. Tracy: That's good, I think.
Mina: Now what do we do?
Izuku: The way it seemed to work with Ochaco was that she had to let accept it into herself.
Mr. Tracy: We used the metaphor of her love for Izuku, to feel that and accept it.
Mina: So, you are saying I just have to take you into me? You naughty boy.
Izuku: MMMIIINNNNAAA
Mina: I can feel you blushing, this is awesome.
Mina tried to do as they said but it wasn't working, she thought of her love for Izuku. How in the beginning she had thought it was a romantic love before she realized that it was a need to protect him. That her love for him was more like that of family than that of a lover. When she concentrated on that she could feel something, it was dancing around her more surrounding her tighter, it was knocking asking to be let in. She opened the door.
Mina was standing in blackness; she couldn't see anything or feel anything. It caused a moment of panic but slowly she could feel her body, she still couldn't see anything. She tried to take a step, when her foot contacted something there was a sound like a bell, and where her foot contacted there were ripples of white and a flash of color. Another step and it happened again; she began to run forward the colors grew brighter the ripples larger until there was a brilliant flash. When her eyes came back, she was standing in a beautiful field filled with wildflowers and ringed by dense forest. Mina stood in wonder at the beauty of everything around her, it was the sound of muffled crying that pulled her back.
Quickly she scanned the field and saw a child huddled on the ground crying on their side, Mina ran over as she approached, she saw a familiar crop of green hair. There on the ground was Izuku, child Izuku but she knew it was him. He appeared to be maybe 4 or 5, his clothes were damaged, and he was bruised. Mina just lay down behind little Izuku and pulled him into a hug, she could feel him stiffen but he didn't pull away.
"Shh, it is okay Izuku. I got you I will protect you. It will all be ok because "I AM HERE"
"I'm afraid, what if I fail? What if I fall?"
Mina realized that she was no longer holding a child, but he had increased in size to the boy she knew.
"Then I will fail with you. I will catch you when you fall. I will hold you when you cry. I will bandage you when you bleed. I will feed you when you are hungry. I will be the sun to warm you or the moon to soothe you. I promise Izu no matter what happens I will be with you to the very end. I love you too much to do anything less."
In a low voice that seemed afraid of the answer, he whispered: "Promise?"
"I promise."
As Izuku vanished, Mina found herself standing alone in the same field. Suddenly, a strikingly tall and slender young man appeared before her. Though his features were unusual, something was captivating about him. His eyes were like swirling pools of dark green emeralds, and his skin had an unearthly white hue with a hint of grey that seemed to dance across his body. Mina couldn't look away. Without realizing it, she reached out and took his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch. The being smiled at her with a warm, dazzling smile, and Mina returned it with the brightness of the sun in her eyes. "Don't worry," she said. "I'll protect you too!"
"I know." Was the response as she was plunged back into darkness.
-The Real World-
Mina slowly drifted back into consciousness, it was still dark around her but not unnaturally slow they were illuminated by his green lighting and a yellow glow radiating off her. She was still holding Izuku's hands she could see a few tears slide down his cheek.
"Your afraid of failing." She said softly.
He opened his eyes with a look of shock and some shame.
It is nothing to be afraid of son.
"I am, I was quirkless and wanted to be a hero, then I got this wonderful ghost dad who believed in me so much and would push me, then I got you and Eijiro who just completed my life in a way I didn't know I needed. Ochaco and her love, the All-Might and One for All. Of course, I am scared."
"It's understandable to feel scared, and you don't have to face it alone. You have me and others by your side. I've said this before to a previous version of you, but if you fail, I'll fail with you. You have my unwavering support, Izuku, and I promise that no matter what happens with anyone else, it will be you and me until the very end."
"Thank you, Mina," He said pulling her into a hug.
They looked around at the silvery mass surrounding them in a sphere. "I am assuming this is you," Izuku said.
Mina reached out and touched it, it was smooth and moist, and instinctively she knew he was right, this was her. As she moved her hand, she felt it shift and they rolled it just slid around them, it didn't send them tumbling, she moved her hand the other way and it moved that way. She pulled it in closer and came in tighter, she pushed, and it expanded, she conjured the image of spikes on the outside.
"Hey what the hell is going on in there," they heard Eijiro yell. "You trying to turn me into shish kabob."
"SORRY EIJI," she yelled. She smiled and willed it to open around them and it slid open. "It's my acid I think or something like it, I can harden it, and shape it." She formed images in her head and flowed around forming shields and even a sword. When she placed the sword on the ground it took concentration, but she felt it begin to be secret and it started to melt the floor. Mina was just beaming, as she continued to move the pieces around, she began to feel a headache coming on when she felt a wetness from her nose, she placed her hand there for a moment before pulling back and seeing the telltale signs of a bloody nose. It startled her and the objects collapsed in a splash on the floor. She fell to her butt feeling exhausted. "So, Eiji your up next." She said with a smile, Ochaco ran up to her with some tissue and a water bottle.
"Did you see a little girl also?" Ochaco asked.
"No, he was the big kind of alien/humanoid-looking thing, kind of cute in a strange way," Mina said holding the tissue to her nose, while Ochaco held the cold-water bottle to the back of her neck.
Torino, who was just stunned watching this wanted to object to Eijiro, but he couldn't find the words, and he couldn't think of a solid reason why, he also knew that if they were going to do it, there was nothing he could do to stop them.
-Izuku & Eijiro-
They sat on the floor away from the group, their heads resting against each other. Izuku pulled up on for all.
"So, what do I do?" he asked.
It seems that the key is to prioritize your relationship with Izuku. Ochaco experienced romantic love, Mina felt a sisterly love and a strong desire to protect him. You need to determine the nature of your love for him and its significance to you.
"What it means to me huh?"
"Yea bro, tell me all the ways you love me," Izuku said teasingly.
Eijiro had given it a lot of thought and realized that his feelings towards Izuku were not romantic, but rather of a protective nature. This was just his nature in general. Izuku was like a brother to him, a brother who relentlessly pursued his dreams and inspired Eijiro to push himself harder to become better. Eijiro aspired to be a better person and a better hero, to prove that he was just as capable as Izuku believed him to be. His love for Izuku was one of admiration and equality, like brothers in arms. In times of chaos and destruction, Eijiro would stand by Izuku's side, shielding the world from harm.
Goddamn son, you have some fucking amazing friends.
I know.
Like the other before him, Eijiro was plunged into blackness. When his body came back to him, he opened his eyes, part of him wished he hadn't. There was destruction everywhere, buildings had been destroyed, fires raged, and he could hear screams of terror and cries for help coming from all around him. There he stood on a pile of rubble and as he looked more, he could see Mina and Ochaco older, bloodied and hurt struggling to stand. In front of them was Izuku, lightning dancing off his skin, blood dripping from numerous wounds all over. Eijiro could feel the wounds on his friends, the cuts upon their soft flesh, he didn't know how he could feel them, but he tugged on them, he saw the injuries on his friends close, and he felt the cuts graze off his hardened skin. He smiled, he could take their injuries unto himself and heal them. He could truly tank the damage that would befall his friends, he could protect them.
His gaze found the monstrosity that was before them, 10 feet tall flames of black covering its body, the sky above them erupted as a pillar of black flame fell from the sky, it would consume them. They would die here.
"If you allow it," a voice said.
Eijiro felt time slow as the fire and his friends froze in mid-action. Eijiro turned and sitting on a piece of rubble was a young boy, maybe 8 years old or so. He had wild orange and green hair that seemed to shift colors across his head, and large red eyes that seemed to burn. He had a mouth of sharp teeth that spread into a Cheshire-type grin. "Will you allow it? Will you allow your friends to die? Will you let the world burn?"
"NO, I am their shield, I am his shield. I will stand before the devil himself and not let him pass."
"Excellent!"
Time resumed and fire strike fell, Eijiro felt the build-up in his mind, an image formed, and he released upon the world. An energy shield appeared in the sky above them, shielding them from the fire attack. As it impacted it drove Eijiro to his knees, he could feel the fire, the burning upon his hardened skin. He would not fail them; we would not fail himself. The attack dissipated, and Eijiro looked upon their attacker.
"Is that the best you got?" as darkness surrounded him again.
In the real world, the boys were sitting there and had not moved. Eijiro was smiling as his head rested against Izuku's. "Don't worry bro, I GOT YOU!"
They got to their feet Izuku looked at Eijiro and explained what happened and what he believed was the ability that was awakened inside of him.
"So, you mean you can heal us by absorbing the hits we take, and you can put up shields that redirect the damage they absorb to you?" He said.
"I am the ultimate fucking tank BABY! Now I must get my hardening and toughness up. As long as I am here no one will be fucking touch my friends." His smile was ridiculously large. "NEVER FEAR BRO'S BECAUSE I AM HEAR!" he yelled screaming to the ceiling like a Shonen protagonist.
-All-Might-
Gently hung up the telephone after he finished the 2-hour conversation with young Midoriya. He stood up calmly and walked over pouring himself a healthy portion of scotch which he drained, followed by another before he went and sat back down. "WHAT IS GOING ON!"
So the million dollar question is does this work with anyone or only someone you have a connection with?
We do not really have a way to test that do we.
True that. Do you want to do this to with Inko?
I don't know, i don't think so. What would it do? She isn't a hero and if we were to give her a boost she may feel obligated to try and do something with it instead of enjoying her new life with Alex. I don't want to take that from her.
A very valid point son, I am proud of you. So it seems the abilities that are unlocked are still there but they are severely weakened. I think that if you were to share with them you could energize them allowing them to tap into it at full power.
That's amazing in so many ways. Now I just need to figure out a way to give them the boost with out having to hold hands and stuff, that could make it very difficult to use in combat situation. "Excuse me Mr. Villain while me and my friends hold hands for a minute."
Sounds like a plan to me. How do you think they are going to react about going to Hawaii for the wedding?
They will probably freak out, especially when they find out it is all expenses paid. This is all happening so fast.
Well life moves pretty fast son, remember to stop and take a look around or you just might miss it.
