Action: Welcome back, we are in the middle of the Class Change Tournament.
Sydney: We got split up almost instantly.
Corrode: We'll all be okay.
Percy: Last time we had a new elite student added after the accident I had with Jai and we got new rankings, I'm number one! Also, welcome Pollon to our ranks. Next up was the start of the tournament and we could finally compete. We were getting hunted by some elite hunters so they could take our elite status so we split. After Kai's fight, he decided to rest and overheard an exciting campfire story. Not only did old memories surface but he learned something about Nexus. We end with Kai at the temple resting with Luna, Nix, and Pollon.
Zeek: Looks like things are about to get exciting.
Jai: Quiet down and watch.

~Kai's~
I was on watch when it came to early morning. I was woken up at five in the morning and now have been outside the temple watching for two hours. There are fifty-two hours still on the clock. I made sure to have my ORB screen open as I hid inside the temple since it was so dark you wouldn't be able to tell I'm standing right there. Though being here by myself gives me more time to think about what has been going on. Jai and Zeek both honestly had feelings for them. Though I don't think I can see myself with Zeek at all and I think I need to let him know that. Jai, on the other hand, feels like a regal dance between the two of us. Then there's Nexus for the longest. I kept him at arm's length because he was such a mystery and when I opened up, I shut him out instantly. He then started hanging out with Fang and my old friends, however, even after all that there is something between us and I feel like I can't bring myself to acknowledge it. At least not till I get my memories of us as kids back.

Next thing you know I see four pokemon running here in the distance, I then sent an alarm to Luna, Nix, and Pollon to wake them up. Looking at them closely I could already tell what group it was, I let out a sigh. The next thing is I ran into the temple to where they were, however, there is a path you must follow otherwise you will set off a trap. Pollon warned me when I got up this morning. When I made my way to them they looked all packed up and Nix was munching on a protein bar.
"Everyone set to go?" I asked.
"Yes, but be warned Pollon wasn't able to track down all the traps in the temple," Luna explained to me. We all then heard footsteps as if the group already entered the temple.
"Seems like our company has arrived," Nix scoffed.
"We have to move, follow me," Pollon said calmly. We followed her to a wall and then she went through it and we followed suit. When we entered It was like a safe room in persona five. It was kind of roomy and the cool thing is the entrance can see out into the temple. So we can see if someone passes us by. I then notice Pollon transporting something away with her psychic energy. No one else noticed, but I'll ask her about it later. We all then hear footsteps and it seems Nexus's crew made it to this floor.
"I could have sworn I smelled some pokemon down here," the voice belonged to Fang but I could see him.
"They probably went deeper in," Ace sounded annoyed.
"If they did they can't be that far away," Angel then passed our line a view skipping down the hall.
"They are actually close and Angel watch out!" Nexus sounded scared as you heard the sliding of stone.
"Huh looks like this trap is a dud," I could hear Angel blow a raspberry. Next thing you know the room we're in disappears and reveals my group hiding.
"I knew they weren't far," Nexus had a smirk on his face.
"Now is not the time for a fight," Luna tried to warn us.
"Why?" Everyone asked and then I heard the noise of tile moving and the next thing you know the floor disappears and we're free falling to the bottom of the temple. That didn't stop our two groups. Ace caught Angel on her back and started flying them down. Fang dug his claws into the wall to grind down them and Nexus was just free-falling. Luna caught Nix on her back and Pollon used her psychic ability to float. Our two groups were locked in a dead silence. Though Nexus and I were on the same wavelength as my aura flared to life and so did his.
My Work Up and his Dragon Dance. We both used the wall to charge at each other. My superpower helped my muscles grow and Nexus flipped, attacking with his tail. In turn I grabbed it and launched off it, landing against the back wall and jumping off it to hop on his back.
"Cleaver as always but I won't let you beat me," Nexus's voice was calm almost scary even.
"Kai! Get out of there!" Pollon tried to warn me but I wasn't sure why. Nexus was able to overpower me and kick me off his back. He then turned around and I saw his ax jaw with a large blue hue. Guillotine the one-shot knockout move. I tried to brace myself with Superpower and then I saw a blue shield slowly form around me. Was Pollon trying to protect me, but it all happened quickly Nexus swiped at me breaking the shield but hitting me in the process launching me further down below the temple.
"Kai!" I heard Luna, Nix, and Pollon scream.
I also heard a faint "Sorry," from Nexus. I couldn't see them anymore as I was basted deeper into the temple. My vision started to blur and before I knew it everything went black.
~Pollon's~

"Kai!" our whole team screamed and I heard a faint plea from Nexus. I tried to protect him and lord knows how deep this temple is. I felt a headache as my psychic ability started to surge due to my emotions.
"I want you to fall prey to what you did to Kai!" I screamed. I used my psychic ability to fly near Nexus and unleashed a high-pitched sound from my ears. My disarming voice should have done some damage. Nexus didn't budge but instead came at me with his ax jaw glowed a deep red and he sliced at me. I dodged the first one but the second sent me into a spin cycle where I lost control of my psychic abilities for a second.
"Surprised you're still standing after that powered-up Dual Chop. Not to mention I aimed right at your clavicle," Nexus complimented.
"Pollon, you can't take him especially like this, we are at a disadvantage," Luna swooped down and I landed on her back alongside Nix.
"What about Kai? We don't know what happened to him and he is the cause!" I yelled. I normally don't yell.
"I'm worried too let's fly down together," Nix gave the idea.
"We won't let you," Ace came in and interfered and both Nix and I were knocked off Luna's back. Do they really want to fight right now, Kai could die from falling from this height. All of a sudden everything around me was suspended and everything was cloaked in a pink light. I then noticed everyone who was free-falling was gone.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"No need to worry young one, I'm here to let you know you unlocked your full power" a very high-pitched male voice talked. I then saw a giant blue deer walk down until they were level with me.
"You're the legendary pokemon Xerneas," I gasped. The deer giggled at me.
"I'm Mexnes Ray, but you mortals know me as Xerneas," he introduced himself. "I've been watching over you for a while. I have to say what a rough life," The deer showed concern.
"Thank you for your concern, but wasn't I falling not even a second ago?" I asked.
"Correct but don't worry as we are talking, time is suspended," Ray confirmed my suspicion.
"What have I done to warrant you coming here?" I asked. To focus on the task at hand.
"Sorry I get sidetracked easily," he then cleared his throat. "I am here as your overseer to let you know you've unlocked my power, however with this power unlocked comes great responsibility. The one to teach you will contact you soon I'm sure. With this power you are officially known as an Ace," Ray explained.
"An Ace," I repeated.
"My time is running out so I must leave but I recommend you use my power if you want to save your friend," before the deer could disappear I noticed in my center fur a stone appeared but instead of it looking at the mega stone it had a roman numeral on it and mine was eight. I guess to represent the Ace. "Goodbye, but I will see you soon" The deer disappeared and so did the fairy-like field. Everyone around me reappeared and time continued.
"Let's do this," I grabbed the stone and my body was bathed in white light and then I was trapped in a shell. I felt my blue chest fur grow down and I grew four more tails like a vulpix. The shell broke and birthed the power of a Meowstic and Xerneas.
'Glad to see you use my power,' it was the voice of Ray in my head. Not only did my psychic abilities increase but I'm now part fairy type. I was able to catch both Luna and Nix with my psychic abilities.
"Woah what is this new power?" My sister asked.
"I'm not sure but we're going to test it," I then went down to Nexus again and lifted up my paw. He tried swiping me again with his ax jaw but this time a psychic screen blocked his attack.
"What?!" Nexus seemed surprised.
"My turn," I said in a cold voice and a bunch of lights flashed around us in many different dazzling colors. When my attack finished Nexus was still there, though I could see he was in pain.
"Nexus we need to get out of here" we looked up and saw Fang sliding down the wall. "There is a tunnel coming up across us," Fang points out. I looked behind me and he was right there was one further down. As we're falling Nexus uses the wall to blast past me and his ax jaw to slide down the wall into the hallway. Fang follows suit but uses me as a stepping stool. Next thing you know Ace flies behind them with Angel on her back.
"I think we should do the same and find an exit" Nix shouted.
"You guys do that, I'm going to find Kai," I didn't leave much room for discussion. I used my psychic powers to fly farther down in the temple as well to scan the area if I could see how far deep he was. I was able to figure out two things: at the bottom is a treasure room and Kai isn't too far from the bottom. When it comes to my psychic powers of psychokinesis I can only control things I see and I'm almost there. I promised Kai I would be by his side as his friend and letting him die from the fall is not how this is going to end. I could start seeing a dim light at the bottom. How fast are we falling? That only means I can see Kai. "Kai!" I yelled but I'm not sure if he is conscious. I used my psychic ability to halt him in the air and I did so myself. I then bring us slowly to the temple floor. When we landed there was gold scattered everywhere and treasurers that would make anyone go mad. Bringing Kai close to me I looked over his body and he had a gash that went from his front right paw, across his stomach, and down to his back left paw. The blood was starting to pool, but he was still breathing. I don't know how to heal him. I started to panic.
'With my power you do,' I heard Ray's voice in my head again. He's right, with his power I can achieve anything. I then charged power in my paws and touched his body trying my best to transfer my energy to him and his body glowed in a green hue. His wounds started to close slowly as I did this.
"This must be Heal Pulse!" I said with alarm. After a few minutes, his wounds completely closed. I kept going just to be sure. Once I was done my form returned to normal and I was panting while watching over Kai. I hate to do it but I need to rest, I'm sure no one will find us here.
~Kai's~

When I opened my eyes I was in a room full of treasures. "Did I die?" I scrambled to my feet as I was sore. I then started to walk around and scan the room, there was only one way to enter or exit the room. I know heaven wouldn't look like this so then how did I survive the fall?
"You're awake," I noticed a Meowstic running out of the only way to enter the room. She then ran up and hugged me. "I thought you were going to die," I've never seen Pollon express this much emotion. She then let go of me and then blushed a bit.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"We are on the eightieth floor of the temple otherwise known as the treasure room. My new psychic power allows me to scan things from farther distances," Pollon explained plainly.
"Well we should be searching for an exit," I opened my ORB screen. We had forty hours to find an exit and seventy students already exited.
"I got that covered, don't worry but we need to find Luna and Nix. I'm not sure if Nexus, Ace, Fang, or Ace is still in the temple" I nodded.

"Then we should get moving-" I was then cut off by screaming. Next thing you know some bricks come up and Angel slides from behind them and the bricks come back down.
"Damn that hurt, midfight with Nix and then I activated a trap," Angel sighed, not knowing we were in the room. "What was with her and that shadow like aura? Oh you're here," Angel pointed at us after he got off the ground.
"What did you say about my sister," I got defensive.
"She was going out of control and this black aura surrounded her, but besides the point I'm angry today and a fight with you could brighten my mood," Angel did seem pissed off.
"Pollon you go and search for the others," I commanded and she listened heading for the exit. Angel came at me first grabbing me with his ribbon feelers and restraining me. Next thing you know I'm hoisted up in the air.
"I'm really done with today now if you would lose that would be nice and I can be an elite," Angel was starting to lose his cool. Taking my chance I unleashed a Fire Blast down at him losing his grip on me and I bit one of his ribbon feelers. "Ow! You dick you always did play dirty," He complained.
"Take one to know one," I countered. I then let my red aura flare, raising both my attack stats and unleashed another Fire Blast and Angel counter with Moonblast causing an explosion. Using the smokescreen I charged in and jumped on his back, my Muscles grew and I backdropped him into the ground. I jumped back and I knew that would barely phase him.
"I'm tired of playing the part of an Angel," as he said that a bunch of mud was kicked up in my face. SInce when did he know mud slap. I tried to get it out of my eyes, then my side was hit with what felt like a ball of darkness. "I hope you like that because from what I learned you need to play dirty to win," he was losing it. I think this whole tournament is breeding ground for craziness. I was finally able to wipe the mud out of my eyes and saw him break out of his shell like a butterfly. "Time to end this," Angel had a smirk.
"I'll join in," I feel in my front fur and activate my mega stone and I get engulfed in flames and trapped in a white case. I feel the flames fuse with my fur as strands of it change color to yellow and black and then flames. I grow the fur pattern on my ears and paws. The shell broke and flames went everywhere. Angel flew up in the sky and unleashed both a Moonblast and Shadow Ball. I countered by unleashing a Fire Blast that then expanded into the Japanese character for fire causing another explosion.
"Look at that I'm on equal footing as an elite," Angel let out a crazy laughter. He wonders why I'm not friends with him and it was this devilish side he keeps hidden until he hits his stress limit.
"This fight I'm ending right now," A bunch of stars start to fall from the sky and then land on me. Making me glisten a bright yellow. I then charged at Angel with blinding speed "Last Resort!" I collided with Angel in midair and knocked him straight on the temple floor. When I landed his mega evolution ended and so did mine. Looks like I won this fight. I made sure to examine his body to make sure he'd be okay when he woke up and then left for the exit. I then got notified of Angel's elimination. I didn't realize that if a pokemon gets injured enough they can get eliminated. I then turned around and his body was then teleported. I assume it was teleported to the surface where he can be treated.
'Actually for one to get eliminated they need to be defeated three times, you have only been' how does the voice in my head know that, actually I won't argue. I started to run up some stairs and I was met with Pollon looking down a dark hallway.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Luna, I think she is in danger," Pollon said in a panic.
"You look for her I'll look for an exit" I took charge and we both split between forks in the road.
~Nix's~

"Come on Luna, get back here," I cooed trying to get Luna to come back. I was chasing after her down the hall. She was trying to escape and I'm not letting her. I feel so full of life with this power flowing through me. Who knew losing to Ace could do this to me. It was weird at first with the shadow aura seeping out of me but the feeling is amazing.
"Nix this isn't you whatever happened when you lost to Ace is not good for you," Luna tried to bring me back but I won't go back to how I was. Using Stone Edge I blocked her from going any further and she crashed.
"Won't you look at that, you ass doubled up like a bitch. Maybe I'll have a taste," I taunted as I walked up to her. You know if you get knocked out by me this'll be your third loss and you'll be eliminated. I started to chuckle.
"Why are you doing this," Luna struggled to get off the ground and I could see the fear in her eyes.
"I love this look in your eyes, let's hope you can handle this," I went to chop her in the throat and she went to block so I kneed her in the stomach and she staggered backwards while coughing. "You already know my specialty is underhanded strike so you always know I'm looking for a cheap opening," I laughed. I then had the shadow aura flare to life as I used Dragon dance as if it raised my attack and speed by two stages instead of one. It's so cool, I then used stone edge to raise Luna off the ground like she was on a cross. "It's rare I get to act on my sinister impulse and sadly my friend you are the victim," I walked over to her cracking my knuckles.
"Nix, don't do this," she pleaded and it made me want to do it more.
"Don't be like that, be a good president and help a student with their stress," One fist was cloaked in electricity and the other was imbued with poison and I kept punching her over and over. I then kicked her down and she was bruised all over.
"Luna! Nix! What are you doing!" Pollon screamed from the end of the hall. Looks like I got caught in the act.
"Pollon, just find an exit," Luna pleaded still. I then saw the glow from her ORB.
"Sorry Pollon but I took care of Luna but I can give you a head start if you want to escape," I taunted.
"You wouldn't hurt the one you have a crush on," that stung a bit. However I won't let her know it hurts.
"Who said I did. I may just hang out with you and your sister since I find the two of you tolerable," I then slowly started walking towards Pollon dragging Luna with me.
"Then what was the kiss we shared," ugh she had to remind me of that.
"You kissed my sister!" Luna was then transported.
"That was a mistake and you know it," I spat and Pollon looked hurt. "Now are we going to fight?" I got in a prepared stance.
"I guess it can't be helped," Pollon wiped a tear away.
~Kai's~
(Tender Feeling - P3P)
Ugh, I've been running around for an hour and I'm starting to get scared I won't qualify.
'Kai, where are you?' Pollon's voice intruded my mind. She sounded a little tied up.
'Looking for an exit, though I'm still not sure what I'm looking for,' I turned around some corners.
'The way to escape is a mirror, but I put two in my little pocket dimension. I was able to locate you and you're three floors above me. However there is a problem,' Pollon said the last bit with a grunt.
'What's the problem?' I asked and I started to hear voices.
'You're sister is attacking me and defeated Luna' I almost froze in my tracks. 'It's also weird that a shadow like aura is all around her body,' That last part had me frantic. Was she given the power of the shadows? Who gave it to her?
'How do I get to you?' I asked frantically.
'There should be some traps on your floor that bring you to me from my scan. It will be a trap that's on the floor. I got to go. I'll see you soon,' Pollon cut our connection. I continued running and then came to a corner where I heard voices. When I turned the corner I saw Nexus and Fang talking.
"You know it's weird we came here as a team and now it's the two of us," it was Fang's voice.
"Well it didn't help Angel set off the initial trap and after we escaped Ace chased after Luna and Nix," Nexus sounded bored.
"Lighten up at least we found an exit," Fang chuckled. I then turned the corner and there were two mirrors side by side. Nexus and Fang facing the mirrors.
"Look after this tournament will you consider what I told you before?" From my view I could see Nexus freeze up a bit. What did Fang say to Nexus?
"I remember and I'm considering it, but let's focus after all this is a tournament not some overgrown honeymoon," Nexus chuckled, turning the serious question Fang asked to a lighter tone.
"Sure thing," Fang then got on his toes and leaned in for a kiss. Nexus followed suit and leaned down and I saw their lips connect. I stood there in awe as I saw the passionate kiss they shared and I think I can piece together what Fang asked him. I took two steps back and the stone underneath me sank into the ground.
"Ahhhh!" I let out a shriek as I was pushed back and part of the wall was gone. I was sent sliding down in a tunnel and all I saw was black. And the noise of sand falling. I then saw a light and slid right out. When I came to I saw my sister on the floor struggling to get up and a very different looking Meowstic.
"Kai, you're here," Pollon looked so happy. "Let me trap Nix," then four different screens appeared trapping Nix and then a top leaving her in a box.
"I'll need answers later," I got up off the floor. Then a mirror appeared in the box Nix was trapped in and then two appeared by Pollon and I.
"Yeah, I'll give you answers but let's get out of here," Pollon and I walked to the mirrors. Then as we walked through it was as if we were in space.
"What is this place?" I was a bit scared that this wasn't supposed to take us to the surface.
"I'm not sure," Pollon responded. Then a bright pink pathway appeared and a giant blue deer appeared beside Pollon.
"Xerneas!" I was shocked.
"Glad to meet you Kai, but my name is Mexnes Ray. Please call me Ray, yet you won't see me much," The deer bowed. I then noticed a shadowy figure appear beside me.
"What's with the shadow?" Pollon asked.
"He has unlocked the ability to communicate with me however has not unlocked my power," the shadow figure was the voice in my head. "Let's keep this meeting brief Ray," Actually being in the presence of the shadow his voice is very gruff and stoic, almost scary.
"Ofcourse," Ray cleared his throat. "We are here to let you know you unlocked the power of us, your Overseer making you an Ace," Ray explained.
"What's an Ace?" I asked.
"You'll be briefed on it in the near future Kai once all the Aces unlock their power. For now you will know an Ace based on the roman numeral they have attached to the gem that gives them our power," The shadow explained.
"What does my roman numeral mean?" Pollon asked
"Your number is a reflection of when your Overseer was added to the team of Overseers. As for your number being eight I was the eighth member to join," Ray explained.
"What you must know is you are fated to fight an evil who always eludes us and with all the Aces he can be stopped. That is all and don't share with anyone but other Aces," He then left. The blue deer followed suit and as he left his pink path disappeared. Almost instantly we were on the battlefield.
"Ah finishers ninety two and ninety three. Welcome back and thirty seven hours left on the clock," Tyler welcomed us back. He walked to the center of the battlefield and I got a glance at his mega stone but in reality it had a three in roman numerals. "You are allowed to leave and head to your dorms. We will call you back Friday to talk about the second stage," Tyler gave me a smile. I assume he's happy to see that I passed. Considering it is Wednesday night I have two days of rest. I'm tired and need to get my head straight. This is alot to take in.
Action: Well we are done with the first phase of the tournament.
Kai: Are we not going to talk about all shit that just happened these past two chapters.
Pollon: Or how Nix is also infected now.
Luna: Or that awesome falling scene we just had.
Action: Anyway, I'm going to do my best with these chapters since spring break is coming up for me.
Percy: Also after this chapter comes out Action has put up the bracket of 128 students that qualified. Now don't forget to place a prediction. (Those of you it will be in my wattpad bio and I'll try to post it on ).
Sydney: Up next: The second stage of the tournament is underway but first a pit stop at the hospital to see if Jai is alright and some chatter about being an Ace, what is that. Not to mention that Kai and Pollon fear Nix now, what will happen to their relationship. Let's see what happens next, Chapter Thirteen: Onward. Only in ESA.
