Zeek: Last time, we visited Jai in the hospital, and a secret between you and me Kai saw me before he saw Jai, score! However, they completed the preliminary round and have the true bracket ready with the top sixty-four students and Ace and Nix have gained the title of the elite after beating elite-class students. At the end of the day, everyone goes out and Nix is taunting Pollon. Kai is even unsure after watching Nexus. Come on Kai I did everything for you, pick me!

"Welcome back to day two of the class change tournament and those of you who are just tuning in we are in the middle of round one this morning having four stadiums fight simultaneously. They have a stadium to fight in for each block of the tournament A through D!" I looked up at the monitor in my waiting room. Jason and Blaze were today's announcers.

"A block is done with the first round of matches and a match I couldn't take my eyes away from was the match between Macalister Nexus and Carmin Bolt!" Jason cheered.

"As much as that was a great match between elites in Block A, I would say watch out for the princess of the forest: Sydney Stone. A new title I just made for her," Blaze swelled with pride on the tv screen.

"B block we have one match underway and one more to go. So far I have to say Ren Ursa and Rebeca Lance are dominating the B block," Jason said. Blaze nodded in agreement. I'm waiting for the match between Sarah and Ethan to be done so I can fight.

"Moving to C block, we are waiting on one more match which is between Corrode Gaia and Fang Blister both Elite students and this will be a promising match," Blaze said.

"However, let's not forget Percival, the elite student's number one and has been dominating since the beginning of the tournament!" Jason cheered.

"Lastly we have D block which is done with their matches for this morning as Nebula and Tanya are dominating D block," Blaze acknowledged.

"We have news and B block is the match between Ethan Mane and Sarah Scream is over with Ethan crowned the winner. B blocks final match between Jinx Potter and Kai Blaze can now get underway," Jason cheered the two of us on. It doesn't feel right to fight my sister under these circumstances but if I'm right and she loses she'll lose that power. I took my time walking out to the battlefield and Nix was out there waiting for me. Our Referee was our Teacher's assistant Aristotle.

"For a second I thought you were getting cold feet. Little bro," Nix mocked me.

"Never, not after what you did to Luna and Pollon," I retorted and she looked pissed.

"You know nothing of my relationship with them! I have to restrain my true personality around them and it's so tiring as you know this is the real me. Bratty and bitchy! Not caring if I damage those in my way," she glared at me.

"I know this is the real you because I remember you before dad adopted you, but think were you repressing the true you because of them or because you thought that's how you think they wanted you to act," I tried to reason with her. When she met Luna and Pollon they didn't care about how she acted as long as they were friendly with each other.

(Unstoppable Impulse - Shadowverse)

"A-are b-both fighters re-ready?" Aristotle asked. I guess we can talk later, we both got ready to fight. "3 . . 2 . . 1, B-battle Be-egin!" Aristotle gave us the pass to fight. I jumped up so I could dig down, but when I blinked Nix moved to where I was instantly and gut-punched me when I jumped. I was sent sliding back and my stomach stung. Crap, she landed a sucker punch on me so soon. She stood in a calm stance and yet I can see the rage under her calm demeanor.

"No one can stop underhanded strikes, matches my nature don't you think?" Nix taunted. Without hesitation, I launched a big ball of flames that expanded into the fire symbol and she dodged so I took my chance and dug a hole, digging under the stadium. I listened for Nix's footsteps to make sure I was underneath her and then unleashed a mass amount of flames in a cylinder rising up, breaking the stadium floor, and trapping Nix. With her trapped, I latched myself onto her and my muscles flexed using Superpower. I use her weight against her and slam her into the stadium floor in the flames causing extra damage.

"Take that, Eye of The Storm!" I jumped back as my muscles relaxed, however, I could feel my strength weakening after using that move. As the flames disappeared I could see a shadow-like aura grow uncontrollably. Nix got up and I could see her injuries were bad.

"If you think your signature move will take me down, be ready because my new power has made me stronger!" The aura grew and then got sucked into her body, soon a white shell trapped her inside. Then it broke and emerged in a form I've never seen before. It looked like her yellow hood and yellow clothing she keeps at her waist fused with her body almost looking like a mock dragon. "This is new and what do you know my typing changed to Dragon and Dark," She absorbed the dark energy and became the first ever mega Scrafty. She seemed so proud but I couldn't let this power consume her.

"I won't hesitate," I feel in my front fur and activate my mega stone and I get engulfed in flames and trapped in a white case. I feel the flames fuse with my fur as strands of it change color to yellow and black and then flames. I grow the fur pattern on my ears and paws. The shell broke and flames went everywhere.

"Let's end this now," Nix said and I nodded agreeing with her. instead of waiting for me to act first, she attacked, aiming for cheap shots not caring. She was using Close Combat while I was defending with Superpower, she stopped the onslaught and I looked forward and her arms were cloaked in green energy. That was Dragon claw and I jumped over her dodging and unleashed Fire Blast at point blank knocking her down. I then noticed her form changed to normal as the shadow-like aura left her body and a crystal protruded out of her skin and broke disintegrating. I then noticed a new bracelet formed on her wrist with a mega symbol on it. I guess she has access to mega evolution now, weird how that works out.

"Winner of the final match in block B is Kai Blaze!" I forgot we were fighting for a crowd. They caught me off guard.

~Corrode's~

(The Shackled Wolves (Rain) - FE3H)

I didn't think Fang would be good but I guess his last name is Blister for a reason. With him able to bounce off his stealth rocks and attack me unpredictably is putting me at a disadvantage. All I need is one hit and he's done. I grabbed the pendant of my current necklace which happened to be my Life Orb. After seeing Fang jump from rock to rock again he blitzed me with Accelrock and then went back to jumping around.

"I'm getting tired of this game we're playing right now. You're really testing my patience and I like to think I'm the most patient and nicest of the elite students," I stood my ground as I saw Fang jump around in a flash.

"Sure, toxic unicorn!" Fang blew a raspberry. "Seems like you met your match," Fang looked ready to attack again and I let out a sigh.

"I think you need to shut up and lose like a good dog to those who are stronger than you," I held my anger through gritted teeth as I created a massive wave and washed up the whole stadium and Fang dodged by jumping up high in the sky. I felt a sting of pain recoil from my Life Orb but there is nothing I'm unprepared for. "You're completely vulnerable, This is checkmate," I focused all my energy in my claws and then fired my Focus Blast up at Fang making a direct hit.

As he was falling I could hear him say "You don't even play chess," I couldn't help but chuckle. He then landed on the stadium floor and he was not able to get up.

"The winner of the final match for this morning's session is Corrode Gaia!" Said the announcer and I could see my face on the screen. Then it showed the whole bracket with the thirty-two students remaining.

"Now that we are done with the first round this afternoon we have another sixteen matches in front of us so please rest," Blaze announced.

"Students you are now dismissed but please return by five this afternoon so the tournament can continue," Jason cheered. Looking up at the screen I get to fight Percival next. Already have the elite class number one and number two against each other. I was hoping I could fight Kai and Percy later down the line. Oh well, I sighed as I exited the school entrance.

~Sydney's~

(Lively Days - Shadowverse)

Who would guess my next opponent would be Nexus? Can't say he's a friend or a foe but I do want to win. Granted he is ranked higher than me.

"No, I can't think like that right now," I slap myself to get my head in the game. "You can do it Sydney," I cheered for myself in the waiting room. So far in A block, Pollon is the only one to advance and if I win against Nexus I will get to fight her and if I'm being honest I really want to fight her. B block already has two of the four students advancing Kai and Ace. Even though Ace isn't an elite she seems very formidable and already beating an elite student she holds the title of the elite after the tournament is over. In C block Both Cami Xeno and Jordan wing Advanced. It's no surprise to see the elite students advancing the farthest in the tournament. Lastly, D block Nebula Carbuncle advanced, beating Jordan's sister. Only sixteen can advance and it's interesting. As much as I'm one for not fighting, I love the idea of seeing how I compare to my classmates.

"Next match for block A between Sydney Stone and Macalister Nexus please join us on the battlefield," the announcer said. Walking out to the battlefield I felt a bit weird, but I can't put my finger on what it is.

"Sydney before we start this match I have a question for you?" Nexus looked as if he was lost in thought.

"What could I do for you?" I was confused.

"Well your best friend Percival, I feel like he may be the root of a problem and involving others to do his bidding," he opined his eyes and all I could see was red staring through me.

"I don't know what you mean, however, it's not like I keep a close eye on him," I gave him a bashful smile.

"I see. I guess it was a waste of my time," he sighed. That hurts you know.

"If both fighters are ready, we can continue," I looked at our referee and it was Axel Dark, one of our mentors.

(Fairy Forest - Shadowverse)

"I'm ready," I got into a stance. Nexus let out a groan as he got ready to fight.

"3 . . 2 . . 1, Battle Begin!" Axel allowed us to begin and I'm at a disadvantage. Especially since there is no forest around I can't use my special ability to control vines and I changed out my move Frenzy Plant. I may have to rely on close-quarters fighting. I then stood still feeling my muscles Bulk Up. If I'm going to fight Nexus it'll be on his terms so I have to prepare. I looked at him and a faint crimson aura appeared around him. I'll take my chance and blitzed him using Trailblaze and it was a direct hit but only because he let me.

"I thought you were better than that. Striking me with not a strong move," I ignored this arrogant genius comment as I felt a bit faster and then got aggressive with him using Play Rough, and I ended it off by kicking him back with my hooves. I took the chance and used Bulk Up again.

"Who's better than who now?" I taunted him.

"You may have caught me off guard but it won't happen again," Nexus stopped sliding. He then went into a full-on sprint at me with his ax jaw coated in a purple hue, is this his version of Poison Jab? I wasn't fast enough and he struck me in my right front shoulder and where my neck meets the rest of my body. Making it hard for me to move. I forget he knows pokemon anatomy well and strikes vital points. It won't slow me down. I then felt a bit weird as if I was oddly sick.

"Look at that, after striking a vital point you got hit with an effective poison. Maybe you should forfeit," This time his words were filled with concern.

"You may want to get away from me," I said with haste. I'm not sure why I warned him of my next attack. I stomped my hooves and the ground started to tremble. Nexus then jumped up dodging my Earthquake, however, when he landed he stumbled a bit. I then blitzed at him again using Trailblaze getting faster and then using Play Rough but he countered me with his Jaw sending me back across the battlefield. When I landed I instantly kneeled. I looked at my front left leg and he got me with another vital hit. My time is almost up, especially with this status condition. I went to reach for my mega stone and then I noticed everything around me turned white.

"Where'd the battlefield go?" I was in shock. I then heard a giggle and couldn't tell where it was coming from. Next thing I know a cream-colored rabbit with a 'V' crest on its head and wing coming from its lower back.

"Hi there," The pokemon greeted me.

"Your Victini!" I said in shock.

"Correct, at least that's my name in the legends. My name is Vince Rune, so please call me Vince. I'm your overseer making you an Ace," he giggled in a childlike manner.

"What does that mean?" I was confused.

"With you able to communicate with me like this it means you're ready to complete your true goal and you get access to a bit of my power. Unlike other Overseers who can give their Aces their power I'm giving you my special ability of good fortune and to share your energy with others," Vince explained to me.

"With this power can I mold it into my own?" I asked.

"Correct, but why explain when you can test it out yourself," Vince started to disappear before me. "Have fun and don't be afraid to experiment," Vince giggled as he became invisible. A little bit too carefree for a mythical pokemon. The white space I was in disappeared and I looked down at my mega stone. It had the number two in roman numerals etched into it. I then grabbed it while looking at Nexus, I then got encased by a white ball. I felt the grass along my back grow alongside my horn and some flowers started to bloom. When the white cage broke out came a beautiful forest goddess of a goat.

"I'm ready to get this underway and show you grass isn't weak, I said with elegance. Next thing I knew I saw three cards laid out on the battlefield, one of cups, one of swords, and one of wands. These are tarot cards and I stepped on the one of cups and the next thing I knew my status of poison was healed.

"Would you look at Sydney healing herself with the power of Tarot cards? What is this?!" Blaze announced.

"Interesting how your power manifested to that of Tarot cards and can in some eyes be seen as dark magic but I guess you know nothing," Nexus attacked me verbally.

"Stop dancing around what you want to say and say it. This is getting annoying," I sighed. Then another three cards appeared in front of me. Two of them were blank while one had the three of swords on it.

"Fine I think you and your lover are behind these shadow aura outbreaks and I think there may be a third involved," he's accusing me of spreading this shadow power.

"How rude and I thought you were a gentleman," I huffed as I stood on the card feeling my attack raise.

"I'm a gentleman but my friend's safety comes first," I then charged at him. Using Play Rough but he braced himself. After finishing him off he was still standing. His body had marks from all my blows and then he charged at me in the blink of an eye in front of me. "Hope you like this attack because here's my Counter," he whispered in my ear before punching me in the side at the barrel of my rib cage. He not only used Counter but hit another vital area. I was sent stumbling and was forced out of my mega evolution and when I came to a stop I found it hard to move.

"Vitals shows Sydney is unable to move, making the victor Macalister Nexus!" I can't believe that not only does he use moves but hits vitals and exhausts his opponents. He is an interesting opponent.

"I see, a crystal didn't leave your body. Maybe I was wrong about you, but I think I'm dead on about my previous assumption of your Arcanine," He then left the battlefield leaving me to be helped off with an Audino.

~Corrode's~

(The Shackled Wolves (Rain) - FE3H)

"Damn it!" I was grounded after Percival shot some flames my way.

"This match between the number one elite and number two elite is heating up but it seems Percival has the advantage," Tyler said with fear.

"To think you're ranked number two. I don't even need to use my special skill on you, disappointing," Percival scoffed.

"What's with the big ego all of a sudden?" I asked. Then flames danced around him unnaturally and even the audience gasped.

"Oh that, this is my true personality and if you don't like it God's judgment will rain on you. My mission is to save you all," he almost sounds crazy. All I need is one hit on him and he'll go down but he's been good at not allowing me to attack.

"Well let's change that serious look on your face," I started to hum a chant as I danced on my feet. Then it started to rain, I felt a shock of pain but it was worth it. I looked down at my Life Orb. "Thank you, Volcan," I whispered. The flames that danced around us got significantly weaker as the dark clouds formed around the stadium.

"This won't stop me, though, I welcome the challenge," Percival's power completely changed and instead of flames dancing around us there was a ring of water dancing around us.

"This is weird, Arcanine's shouldn't be able to control water," I stumbled a bit as I prepared my next attack.

"Correct and now is the best time to debut a power gifted to me by the Gods," I saw him then tap something on the bracer he has on his left paw. It had the roman numerals for the number four. He then was encased in a white shell and when it broke, his cream fur grew longer, his fangs grew to match that of a saber tooth, and flames grew from his backside. Though his back left was blue while the back right was red. "Thanks to my gift it allows me to control water and fire. Also, my ability changes to Adaptability," he then did something I didn't think anyone could. In the ring of water, I saw flames within them.

"You don't scare me," I was then struck by a massive bolt of lightning that unleashed its energy toward Percival. "Take my Thunder!" The giant bolt of lightning weaved through the rain and it was blocked by a wall of fire. How can a wall of flames be that strong in the rain? I then felt another sting of pain and let out a hefty breath

"I have to say it's been entertaining, but it's time to save you," Percival walked up to me. "Ahh, that's right I can't do that because there is an audience, talk about being saved by the crowd. Well here's your defeat," his eyes looked as if they could kill. The ring of water then wrapped around me, trapping me in a bubble of water, and then flames encased me. I couldn't hold my breath for long and it was also very hot while trapped in my water prison. As I was being raised in the air I started to lose my breath. Who knew Percival was so ruthless? I thought as I started to lose consciousness.

"Detonate!" I could hear Percival's voice. Then everything exploded and my body burned. Next thing I know I'm on the ground coughing water and flames dancing everywhere. "Oceanic Flare, Diablo," I continued coughing as I struggled to get off the stadium floor. I then noticed my Rain dance started to disappear.

"Corrode is unable to battle so Percival Grimwater is the winner!" Tyler announced. Seems like I'm still too weak. It will be some time till I can match you in power Volcan, I'm sorry.

~Tyler's~

(Tender Feeling - P3P)

Walking into the lab, Tailside gave Jason, Axel, Blaze, and me access so I decided to call up the other Aces. The other three were with me. We called James Cross, Michael Fang, Volcan Overcrest, Arthur Drake, and Snap Gator. They all answered relatively quickly. They all appeared on the big screen in the lab and each caller had their number next to them except for the four of us in the lab.

"What's with the call so late at night?" Volcan complained.

"Sorry to interrupt your beauty sleep princess but this is rather important," Axel taunted.

"True, you wouldn't call this specific group of pokemon if it wasn't important," Snap shared his observation.

"Correct," Blaze confirmed.

"Spit it out, what did you call us for?" Arthur asked.

"Our hunt for the other aces has been fruitful as we have now found member number two, four, and eight. We are only in search of two more members," Jason shared with a smile.

"Nice work you guys, soon we'll all understand the purpose of us being Aces," Michael my boyfriend complimented me.

"Let's do a roll call shall we," I said. All nodded in agreement.

"I am Jason Gon. Member number one with the power of Zygarde," Jason showed the roman numeral of one on his mega stone.

"Next is Sydney Stone, a Gogoat," I shared a video on the screen of her last fight. " She's member number two and I'm unsure of the Overseer she has," Blaze explained.

"Tyler Loft," I said.

"Axel Dark," my younger brother said.

"Blaze Two," my older brother said.

"We are member number three bearing the power of Zexeler with our Overseer being Giratina," the three of us said. We all showed the roman numerals on our mega stones.

"Up next is the weird Percival Grimwater the Arcanine. Member number four," Jason pulled up the video this time. "His Overseer allows him to control fire and water, yet we don't know what pokemon it is," Jason sounded disappointed.

"Number five is still unknown," I shared.

"James Cross, member number six. My Overseer is Zapdos, however, my power is oddly enough one of his brothers being Moltresss's," Arthur showed his mega stone showing the number six.

"Michael Fang, member six. My Overseer is also Zapdos, however, my power is oddly enough one of his brothers being Articuno's," Michael showed his mega stone showing the number six.

"Volcan Overcrest, member seven. Groudon is my Overseer and I wield the power of earth and lava," He showed his mega stone with the number seven.

"Next one on our list is a young one, Pollon Strife, number eight," I pulled up a video of her in the labyrinth. "She seems to get a fairy typing due to her Overseer but we don't know which pokemon it is," I explained.

"Arthur Drake, member nine. Our former friend Jax otherwise known as Entei is my Overseer. Fusing his power with mine I become a lava shark," He explained. We then saw his mega stone and it showed the number nine.

"Snap Gator, member number ten. My Overseer is the bringer of death Yveltal and gives me uncontrollable fighting power that I'm starting to tame," Snap shared rather shyly. He held up his Mega stone and it showed the number ten.

"The last member we don't know is number eleven," Axel sighed.

"However we have twelve of the fourteen Aces," I tried to be optimistic.

"That is if they don't share a number like some of us do," James pointed out and that can be right.

"He is right," Axel agreed.

"For now our goal is almost complete," Blaze said as he started pulling up the stats of the students left in the tournament.

"That's all we needed to share and also we'll be seeing you soon," Jason blew a kiss before ending the group call. I sighed as I sat down. As we are now close to getting all the Aces, what are we going to do with them all gathered? Are we going to completely destroy MT? I'll notify Lumino of our progress and Giratina too. Lumino is the leader of the Overseers. If we do gather all the Aces will we even get the chance to do the semester in Galar? So many questions but few answers. I looked at my ORB screen. It was October 30th on a Saturday night. Interesting how time flies. Tomorrow is another day and the tournament continues and so does our search.

Action: Seems like Nexus is on the case and is coming up with few answers.

Tyler: The Aces are almost done too.

Kai: What is the whole purpose of this book?

Jason: Apparently a lot of setup and power scaling.

Action: Correct, the real adventure is yet to come.

Ace: My turn for the preview. Up next: It seems while the tournament has been going on with Jason's help Tailside was able to decipher a past message. Let's not forget the next rounds of the tournament as Pollon, Nexus, Kai, Percival, and I are still fighting to be at the top. These will be some amazing fights, come back next time for chapter fifteen: Answers, only on ESA.
