How did I end up here, after specifically avoiding both of you for so long?

Senji groaned as they got dressed. She had woken up around eleven, and had an hour to get ready and get to work. It wasn't really far away, but that made it worse in a sense. She sleepily brushed her teeth, jumping when the door to the bathroom suddenly opened.

"Sorry!," Deku yelled and slammed it shut. Senji, half-dressed, nearly choked on toothpaste. She quickly finished getting ready and left the bathroom. Deku stammered at the door, his face and hers beet red. She offered him passing reassurance, and apologized for hogging the bathroom. Inko kept herself busy in the kitchen, unsure what to think of the situation that just unfolded in front of her.

"Oh, Senji. Will you be home for dinner?"

"Uhhh, probably not. Don't worry about it though," Senji answered Inko from the entryway. She checked herself quickly. Keys, phone, wallet. Then put her shoes on and left for work. She still had plenty of time, so stopped by the convenience store for a quick breakfast. The weather was looking like more rain, so she also grabbed one of the cheap umbrellas.

"Oh, you made it!"

Bakugo's dad had answered the door this time. He was a lot milder than the other two in the family, which Senji quickly grew to appreciate. Him and his wife showed her around the house, and the yard, while explaining her duties. They were briefly interrupted at noon, as the two were heading out for a meeting, by their son waking up in a foul mood. Mitsuki yelled at him from downstairs, startling Senji. The two shouted back and forth before Mr. Bakugo pushed Mitsuki out the door. Senji took a moment to process, and push back the awkward tension in her mind. She pulled out the note she'd been given, and saw that mowing was one of today's chores. She started to set her stuff down in the living room, but was interrupted.

"Pfft! You dress like that?"

"The more you leave me alone the better this will be for both of us," Senji tried to brush him off. She was dressed in something pretty reasonable, she thought. Some loose shorts that were similar to cargo shorts, in black. And a loose t-shirt with some band logo on the front. At least, she thought that was the shirt she grabbed. Looking at it, she realized the white shirt was one of Deku's. She sighed, defeated already.

"Look like Deku's nerdy ass," Bakugo laughed from the stairs, dressed in his usual baggy shorts and a shirt with the Punisher logo on the front.

"Says the dripless idiot," Senji snapped back, starting to grin again. She hated that habit, and how she kept feeding into stupid fights with people like him.

"Huh?! The fuck is that about?"

"Oh my fuckin' god, shut it Katsuki."

"Oh, um. Forgot something," Mr. Bakugo had walked in during this exchange, and wasn't sure how to react. He quickly shuffled in and out, with Mitsuki chuckling behind the door. The two who were arguing stood in their places, silent.

"Don't call me that."

"Gonna be awkward calling all of you the same thing," Senji shrugged away that concern of his, and went about her tasks. Katsuki grumbled and shut himself in his room. The humidity was brutal on Senji while doing yard work so she finished up quickly and headed inside for a short break. She plopped down on a chair in the dining room, chugging water and devouring her convenience store "breakfast". She checked her phone. A message from her League crew, and from Mitsuki. The message from Mitsuki said they'd be super late getting back, and detailed the rest of the week's schedule. There was also some weird comment about her clapping back at Katsuki's rude remarks, but Senji decided not to acknowledge it.

After resting in the cooler air for a little while, she decided to pack up and head home. The walk was nice, though she was a little self-conscious over her shirt now. She had time to meet up with someone else, but decided to just head back to the apartment and shower. Inko had gone out for groceries, and Deku had a rare break from his exercise routine. Senji rushed to the shower before he could see the shirt, almost forgetting a fresh change of clothes. She didn't really need to rush, he was holed up in his room again. She did need to check notes with him on some homework though, so she knocked on his door.

"Izuku."

"Huh? Oh, sorry," the boy was flushed when he opened his door. Senji blinked down at him, then remembered why they needed him.

"I…don't remember Ectoplasm's math lesson super well, do you have notes?"

"Oh, yeah, one second."

Deku scrambled around his desk for a moment, slamming a notebook shut. He grabbed another and handed it to Senji, trying to mark the right page. It fell open, revealing some other kind of notes he had, and he nearly died from embarrassment. Senji was vaguely aware of his notes on heroes already, but seeing it in person was a different experience.

"It's fine. I kinda knew already," she tried to stifle some laughter at how flustered he was, and handed it back.

"Sorry! I'll look for the right one and get it to you later?"

"Sure, that works."

Deku slammed the door shut, then yelled an apology for that from the other side. Senji couldn't hold back her laughter anymore, and reassured him through fits of that. She sat on the couch and wrote out a sort of schedule for Inko. That level of involvement with a parental figure was definitely weird for her, but it was refreshing in a way too. She left the schedule on the kitchen table, and ended up falling asleep on the couch before dinner. The Midoriyas didn't wake her, instead pulling the blanket over her and later retiring for the night. Deku left his math notes on the table for Senji.
